In this episode, we reflect on a powerful revelation: God can place value on what others have ignored, rejected, or written off. Drawing from 1 Corinthians 1:27–29, this message is a reminder that what looks weak, broken, insignificant, or despised in the eyes of men can still become a vessel in the hands of God.

This episode speaks to anyone who has felt overlooked, discouraged by rejection, or tempted to give up on a part of their life, work, gifting, or journey. It is a call to stop judging your life by its present appearance and to see yourself, your efforts, and even others through the eyes of God. What men may call useless, God can still choose. What seems broken, God can still lift. What has been abandoned can still become a testimony.

Beautiful morning to you and welcome to today's expression of igniting your day. The word for you today is see value where others see waste. See value where others see waste. This morning I saw what looked like God picking up from the floor an item I could not fully describe. It looked like a broken part of a cylindrical material. I do not know how important the exact shape is to the revelation, but certain things were clear. The item was on the floor alone, which suggests it had been ignored. It suggests it had become useless to many. It looked like something that had fallen off from something else. It looked like something that was not whole. It looked like a part of something, and that part probably resulted from a breakage. But I saw the Lord pick it up from the floor. That was all I saw. Whatever that means to you, let's go into God's word. There the Bible says that God has chosen the foolish things of the world to put to shame the wise, and God has chosen the weak things of the world to put to shame the things that are mighty. And the things which are not to bring to nothing the things that are, so that no flesh should glory in his presence. What do I see here? I see the Lord saying, I use anything. Nothing is useless in my hands. I use anything to tell my stories. There is nothing, friends, that is useless in God's hands. I do not know what is in your hands right now that you are seeing as weak. I do not know which part of your life presently looks degraded, diminished, or disappointed. But the Bible teaches this morning that God has chosen the weak things of the world to put to shame the things which are mighty. There may be something in your hands right now that looks broken. It may look disregarded. It may look disrespected. That means there is nothing that bears your name that God cannot bring to life. There is nothing that bears your signature that God cannot make use of. Some things may not look beautiful anymore, but they are still useful before God. Some things may no longer excite you, but they are still instruments that God can pick up and use. Sometimes the effect of those assessments is that things in your hands can begin to look broken in your eyes. What used to look beautiful to you can now start to look unattractive. What used to look promising can now look unexciting. What used to inspire hope can now seem to have lost value because of what others have said about it. I bring you a word of hope this morning. To you, it may look damaged. To God, it's still part of a building process. I saw the Lord pick it up. That means he has not written it off. 1 Corinthians chapter 1 verse 28. There the Bible says, the base things of the world and the things which are despised, God has chosen. Notice that carefully. Speak life to what God has not discarded. Thank God for what you still have and speak life to it. Do not let the results of human assessment become the final impression you carry about what God has committed into your hands. That project may have been despised, but God can still choose it. That write-up may have been rejected, but God can still choose it. That effort may have been ignored, but God can still choose it. That skill may have been overlooked, but God can still choose it. That aspect of your life may have been dismissed, but God can still choose it. Why? 1 Corinthians chapter 1, verse 29. The Bible answers that question by saying that no flesh should glory in his presence. Why does God choose what is broken? Why does God choose what is abandoned? Why does God choose what is imperfect? First, to show forth his sovereignty. He is showing you that no matter what men say, he still knows what to do. No matter what men conclude, he still has the power over the story. Second, he does it to keep you and me in awe of him. If the thing you put all your effort into is the one that succeeds publicly, you may easily come out and begin to present formulas and methods and systems as though the glory belongs to human wisdom. What God says, He chooses what looks foolish, what looks weak, what looks base, and what looks despised so that no flesh should glory in his presence. God wants the final testimony to be unmistakably his. This word, friends, is not only about things, it's also about people. This is not only about projects. This is not only about ideas. This is not only about skills. This is not only about writings. Please see God in them. See the ongoing work of God in people. What is apparent to you today may not look flashy. What is apparent to you today may not look marketable. What is apparent to you today may not look exciting, but you must learn to recognize that everyone is an ongoing project in the hands of God. Everyone. Why? Because the Bible teaches that God chooses the base things of the world and the things which are despised. As it is with you, so it is with them. As God can choose the things that are base in your life and use them, that is how God can also choose what looks base in another person's life and use them as well. So stay humble. This God can choose and use anything. Some things may no longer look exciting to you because of what people have said. Some things may no longer look worthy of your attention because of repeated rejection. Some things may now feel like the part of your life you no longer want to talk about. But I tell you this morning: do not let the result of your assessors become the last impression you have about what God has put in your hands. Do not let their negative evaluations become your final conclusion about your life, your work, your gifting, your effort or your future. The assessors may have called those things foolish. The assessors may have called those things weak. But God uses the foolish things of the world to put to shame the wise, and he uses the weak things of the world to put to shame the mighty. So I say again, that thing may not look attractive, but it is still relevant. That thing may not look beautiful, but it is still relevant. That thing may not look spectacular right now, but it is still relevant to God. Do not let the voice of human assessors force you to disown what God has given you. Do not let the results of assessments force you to discard what God has entrusted into your life. God can revive what looks dead. The Bible teaches in the book of Job that a tree can come to life again at the scent of water. So I bring you hope this morning. If they have written you off, do not write yourself off. If they have thrown you out, do not throw yourself out. If they have told you that you are not needed, do not agree with them against yourself. There is a story God is still writing, and that story has not ended. Do not discard yourself. Do not throw yourself away. Do not let the result of assessments become the final impression you have about what God puts in your hands. This God chooses the foolish things of this world to put to shame the wise. This God chooses the weak things of this world to put to shame the mighty. I pray for you this morning concerning your own life. You will see everything in your life the way God sees it. You will see everything in your life as a potential instrument in the hands of God. You will see everyone in your life as an ongoing project before God. Maybe there is a compartment of your life that you have even despised. Maybe there is an area of your life that you are no longer considering as important. Maybe there is a matter you have closed because it's taking too long. Maybe there is a decision you have ended internally because it did not happen when you expected it. I bring you the word of the Lord this morning. This God still chooses the best things of this world. This God still chooses the despised things. So give God a chance in your life. Let him invade your private space. Let him breathe on everything. Let him pick what men overlooked. Let him lift what men abandoned. Let him revive what men ignored. Because what does not look valuable to man still looks valuable to God. And what does not look impressive in your sight can still be central to the story God wants to tell with your life. To bring energy to a group of people, to bring strength to a group of people who had become tired. Maybe it is you who has been abandoned. Maybe it is you some people no longer consider as first choice. Maybe it is you who has been classified as no longer relevant. But I see God still using you. I see God using you to bring hope. I see God using you to bring strength. I see God using you to bring energy to others. So do not despise what God has not despised. Do not abandon what God has not abandoned. Do not reject what God still intends to use. Because in the hands of God, even what looks broken can become a testimony. I believe you have been blessed, encouraged, and strengthened by the revelation and inspiration shared this morning. And I pray for you that everywhere you go today, you will see the hand of God at work in your life in the name of Jesus. Till I come your way again tomorrow. My name is Bamidili Olorotoba. Have an amazing day ahead. God bless you.
