In this episode, we share a word of encouragement for anyone who feels weary because the process has become longer than expected. Through Isaiah 40:28–31, Psalm 123:1–2, and 1 Peter 5:5–7, we are reminded that when our natural strength runs out, God gives fresh strength to those who wait on Him. This episode will help you shift from self-dependence to God-dependence, trust Him for the next step, and continue with the grace and strength He supplies.

Speaker

Beautiful morning to you and welcome to today's expression of igniting your day. The word for you today is receive new strength. Receive new strength. This morning, the Lord showed me someone who is getting tired. This person has been in a long process. The process has become so long that you are not getting to the end of it. And you are getting tired. Let's not even talk about how quickly you thought it would end when it started. Right now, the process is getting so long that you are becoming tired. So tired that when people ask you about it, you no longer have energized words to say. The Lord gave me a word for you this morning, and I trust that as the word comes forth, the energy and life you need, not just to stay hopeful in the process, but to stay expectant in the process will be restored to you in the name of Jesus. Isaiah chapter 40, verse 28 to 31. There the Bible says, Have you not known? Have you not heard? The everlasting God, the Lord, the creator of the ends of the earth, neither faints nor is weary. His understanding is unsearchable. He gives power to the weak, and to those who have no might, he increases strength. Even the youths shall faint and be weary, and the young men shall utterly fall, but those who wait on the Lord shall renew their strength. They shall mount up with wings like eagles. They shall run and not be weary. They shall walk and not faint. There are at least two things the Lord is showing us here. The first is from verse 28, where the Bible says he does not get tired. It is you who can get tired. It is I who can get tired, but he never gets tired. When it comes to seeing something, through to the end, he never gets tired. When it comes to fulfilling a purpose he has set before you, he never gets tired. When it comes to achieving a particular assignment he has placed in your path, he never gets tired. That means the one who sent you into the process is never exhausted by the process. The one who gave you the assignment is never weary concerning the assignment. The one who started the matter will never be tired of the matter. The second thing the Lord is showing us in this passage is that going ahead in this journey is not by natural strength. The Bible says, even the youth shall faint and be weary, and the young men shall utterly fall. In other words, this journey is not sustained by natural energy. The strength required to continue is not on the natural plane. The enthusiasm of the flesh cannot carry you all the way. Human energy will reach its limit. Human ability will finish. Natural zeal will eventually come to an end. That is why the Lord is saying to someone this morning: the strength to go through is not in your natural self. The energy to proceed is not in your humanity. If you are depending on what you can generate by yourself, you will arrive at a point where it is no longer enough. This is where your natural ability ends. The Bible says, but those who wait on the Lord shall renew their strength. That means strength can be renewed, energy can be restored, capacity can return, but it must come from the Lord. The Lord is saying this morning, the energy to pull through, the strength to get to the end, the wherewithal to finish well. They are not all on this realm anymore. The natural cannot do it. Your human energy cannot go further. Your intellect alone cannot do it. Your emotions cannot do it. Your past discipline cannot do it. At this point, only what God supplies can take you to the end. So the Lord is calling you away from self-dependence. He's saying, Do not look to yourself for strength. Do not rely on your own reserve anymore. Do not proceed as though the next phase can be completed by your own energy. The strength you need from here must be supplied by God. What does it mean to wait on the Lord? Psalm 123, verse 1 to 2 gives a beautiful picture. The Bible says there, unto you I lift up my eyes. O you who dwell in the heavens. Behold, as the eyes of the servants look to the hand of their masters, as the eyes of a maid look to the hand of her mistress, so our eyes look to the Lord our God until he has mercy on us. Waiting on the Lord is not spiritual laziness. Waiting on the Lord is a posture of attentive dependence. As the eyes of the servants look to the hand of their masters, so our eyes look to the Lord our God. What does that mean? It means your ability to continue now depends on your ability to look up to Him for the next instruction. It means your capacity to proceed now depends on your willingness to wait for him to tell you what to do next. It means your energy will be renewed as your actions come into alignment with what he is saying. Yes, the process is energy happiness. Yes, you have reached the end of your natural ability. But if you will wait on me, if you will look to me for the next thing to do, the next thing to say, the next thing to think, the next step to take, I will renew your strength. Your strength will be renewed in the alignment of your actions with the energy God supplies. This is the word of the Lord to someone this morning. Your focus must now shift to the Lord. If it were to be by your own human power, you will not go beyond this point. But he has what it takes to take you beyond here. So the resolve you must make is this I proceed only by the strength God supplies. I go forward only by the energy God supplies. I continue only by the ability God supplies. This is the way forward. You must now wait on the Lord for the next thing to do. You must now wait on the Lord for the next thing to say. You must now wait on the Lord for the next instruction to follow. You must now wait on the Lord for the next idea to receive. You must now wait for the Lord for the next posture to take. Those who wait on the Lord renew their strength. You may want to ask, what posture makes renewal possible? The Bible teaches something important in First Peter chapter 5, verse 5 to 6. The Bible says there, likewise, you younger people, submit yourselves to your elders. Yes, all of you, be submissive to one another and be clothed with humility, for God resists the proud but gives grace to the humble. Therefore, humble yourselves under the mighty hand of God that he may exalt you in due time. This passage teaches us the posture required to continue. There are two things the Lord expects from you if you are going to move forward from this point. Number one, submission. The Lord is saying there are people he can use for you. This means do not isolate yourself in the process. I know you are feeling tired, but do not isolate yourself in the process. Do not assume that because you are tired, you must now shut everybody out. There are people ahead of you in this matter. Let them speak to you, let them counsel you, let them educate you, let them guide you. It also says be submissive to one another. No, do not throw away imputes too quickly. Remember what we learned yesterday. God uses the foolish things of this world. God uses the weak things of this world. God uses the best things of this world. So do not dismiss lightly what God may be counting on for you. Number two, the second posture you need to proceed from here is humility. The Bible says there, be clothed with humility, for God resists the proud but gives grace to the humble. Humility begins with not seeing yourself too highly. Humility begins with seeing yourself the way God sees you. Humility begins with admitting that in yourself you do not have what it takes any longer to proceed. Humility begins with refusing to move until you hear from the Lord. Humility begins with settling it in your heart that except the Lord helps you, you do not have what it takes to proceed. And the Bible says God gives grace to the humble. That means grace is not merely given to the talented. Grace is not merely given to the determined. Grace is given to the humble. If you will humble yourself under the mighty hand of God, He will exalt you in due time. My friends, this is where human ability ends. There is a point in certain journeys where human ability truly finishes. This is that point. The Lord is saying, This is where your human energy ends. This is where your natural strength reaches its limit. This is where enthusiasm alone can no longer continue. This is where your own resources can no longer sustain the matter. And this is exactly where waiting on the Lord becomes essential. At this point, those who insist on going forward by natural means will fail. But those who wait on the Lord will renew their strength. So, if you are tired, the answer is not to pretend that you are strong. The answer is to look up to God. If you are weary, the answer is not to force your soul with empty motivation. No, the answer is to wait before the Lord. If the process has become longer than expected, the answer is not to panic. The answer is to receive instructions from the Lord. If you no longer know how to proceed, the answer is not to move randomly. The answer is to ask, listen, and obey. You are not where you thought you would be by now. The words that once came easily from your mouth no longer come with the same energy. You are not just physically tired, you are tired in your expectations, you are tired in your explanations, you are tired in your efforts. But the Lord is saying, I, your father in heaven, do not get tired. If there is a task before you, I do not get tired. If there is an assignment ahead of you, I do not get tired. If there is a purpose I sent in front I set in front of you, I do not get tired. Therefore, stop measuring the future by the exhaustion of your present state. No, stop that. Your tiredness is not the measure of God's capacity, your willingness is not the measure of God's power. Your feeding energy is not the measure of God's commitment to his purpose in your life. He does not get tired. And because he does not get tired, there is still hope for the journey. Make this your resolve this morning. Say, Lord, I look up to you. Say, Lord, I rely on you. Say, Lord, I wait on you. Say, Lord, I proceed only with the energy you supply. Say, Lord, I do not trust my natural strength. Say, Lord, I release myself to you to teach me how to continue. Say, Lord, I release myself to you to show me how to go forward. Say, Lord, I release myself to you to give me the next instruction. This is how to renew your strength. Not by force, not by anxiety, not by self-generated pressure, but by waiting the Lord. I believe the Lord has spoken to you this morning. He expects you now to settle down and make a firm resolve that you will continue only with Him, only with the ability He supplies, only with the strength he gives, only with the direction He provides. This is not the time to trust your flesh. This is not the time to depend on your natural energy. This is the time to wait on the Lord. And if you do, you shall renew your strength. You shall mount up with wings like eagles. You shall run and not be weary. You shall walk and not faint. I believe that you have been blessed this morning by the inspiration and revelation shared. I pray for you that everywhere you go today, you'll enjoy the strength of God in the name of Jesus. Till I come your way again tomorrow. Remain Bamidale or Long October. Have an amazing day ahead.
