In this episode, we are reminded of a powerful truth: wisdom does not come only by direct impartation. It also comes through humility, honesty, and a willingness to receive correction.
Drawing from 1 John 1:5–10, this message explores what it means to walk in the light, how the light of God exposes inconsistencies in our lives, and why our response to that exposure matters deeply. When we submit to what God reveals instead of denying it, His Word gains greater authority in us and that Word makes us wise.
This episode is a call to remain in God, to let His light search us, and to embrace correction as part of spiritual growth. If you have been asking God for wisdom, this message will help you see that one of the ways He answers that prayer is by teaching you not to run from truth.

A sobering and pastoral exhortation to walk in the light, welcome correction, and allow the Word of God to shape a wise and yielded life.
Beautiful morning to you today, and welcome to this morning's expression of igniting your day. The word for you today is walk in the light and welcome correction. Walk in the light and welcome correction. This morning I have two things to share, but both of them point in one direction. In summary, the direction is this do not run away from correction, do not avoid correction, do not dodge correction. That is the whole counsel of the message. The second part of the message has layers, and those layers explain the first part. I will walk through them carefully. The first thing the Lord said to me this morning was continue to operate in the light. Continue to operate in the light. I almost misinterpreted the message until the Lord gave me the scripture. Let's read 1 John chapter 1, verse 5 to 7. This is the message which we have heard from him and declare to you that God is light and in him there is no darkness at all. If we say that we have fellowship with him and walk in darkness, we lie and do not practice the truth. But if we walk in the light as he is in the light, we have fellowship with one another, and the blood of Jesus Christ His Son cleanses us from all sin. So when the Lord says continue to operate in the light, what he is really saying is this continue to operate in God. Make sure everything you do, you do in the law. Make sure everything you do, you do in the law. Everything. Not some things, not the spiritual things alone, everything. After that revelation, the Lord then said to me that when you continue to operate in the light, there is an impact it will have on your mind. That's the second idea. I opened up myself and asked, Lord, show me how. How does walking in the light impact my mind? He took me back to the same passage and explained step by step how operating in the light affects the mind. Now let's read 1 John chapter 1, verse 6 to 10. If we say that we have fellowship with him and walk in darkness, we lie and do not practice the truth. But if we walk in the light as he is in the light, we have fellowship with one another, and the blood of Jesus Christ His Son cleanses us from our sin. If we say that we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us. If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and cleanse us from all unrighteousness. If we say that we have not sinned, we make him a liar, and his word is not in us. Now, the question is this how does walking in the light have an impact on my mind? Here is the step-by-step process that the Lord explained to me this morning. Number one, light exposes what is wrong. Light exposes sin, light exposes wrongdoings, light exposes inconsistency, light exposes wrongs. Look at verse 8. If we see that we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us. So when you walk in the light, the light exposes you. The light reveals what is not right. That's the first thing. Number two, we must respond to what the light reveals. It is one thing, friends, to be exposed by the light. It is another thing to know what to do with that exposure. We must respond to the revelation that comes by the light. Look at verse 9. If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness. So the process is clear. When you operate in the light, the light reveals inconsistencies, the light reveals wrongs, the light exposes what is not correct. But then verse 9 says, You must respond. If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness. So there are two things here. First, operate in the light. Second, respond to what the light reveals. Number three, denial of what the light reveals affects your relationship with the word. Now listen carefully to this. Denial of the revelation provided by light nullifies our consciousness of God's word. Let me say that again. The denial of the revelation of the light nullifies our awareness of God's word. Look at verse 10. If we say that we have not sinned, we make him a liar and his word is not in us. So, when you walk in the light, the light exposes wrongs. When you respond to what the light exposes, you enjoy cleansing. But the Bible goes further and says that if you deny what the light reveals, then his word is not in you. Which then means this: if you do not deny what the light reveals, if you submit to correction, then the word is enthroned in your life. And what happens when the word is enthroned in your life? The Bible teaches in Psalm 19, verse 7. The law of the Lord is perfect, converting the soul. The testimony of the Lord is sure, making wise the simple. That is it. And if you want further support, check out 2 Timothy chapter 3, verse 15, where Apostle Paul taught Timothy that the scriptures are able to make one wise. So, what is the Lord saying to you this morning? What is the Lord saying to me this morning? It's very simple. Continue to operate in the light. When you do, certain things will be revealed to you. When they are revealed, submit yourself to correction. When you do that, the word is enthroned in your life, and the word enthroned in your life makes you wise. This is the summary of the message. When you walk in the light, there is an impact it has on your mind. It sure makes you wise. No, wisdom does not come only by direct impartation. Wisdom also comes by submitting to correction. That is the message this morning. Maybe there is a particular thing you have been trusting the Lord for, and you are waiting for a direct impartation. The Lord is saying to you this morning, wisdom comes from submitting yourself to correction. Yes, continue to walk in the light because it has an impact on your mind by making you wise. Sometimes we are trusting God for wisdom from above, and rightly so, because He is the giver of wisdom. But the Lord is also saying to you this morning, by submitting yourself to correction, you can also become wise. Do not keep looking up to heaven for fresh impartation of wisdom when God has put around you men and women who can show you things, who can point things out to you, who can tell you the truth. Do not discard the people around you whom God has given you. Wisdom also comes by correction. Yes, God can impart wisdom. We know that. But please understand this clearly: wisdom also comes by correction. So we must make ourselves available for correction. In every area of our lives, we must make ourselves available for correction. Available again and again for correction. Because when you submit yourself to correction, the word of God finds room in you. And when the word of God is enthroned in you, it makes you wise. Sometimes you're waiting for wisdom from above and you are expecting it only as an impartation. But the Lord is saying that another way wisdom comes is correction. So do not run away from correction. Do not avoid correction. Do not dodge correction. Continue to walk in the light. Let the light reveal what it must reveal. Respond to the revelation of the light. Do not deny what the light shows you. Submit yourself to correction. When you do so, the word of God is enthroned in your life. And the word enthroned in your life makes you wise. This is the whole counsel of God for you this morning. I believe you have been blessed by this revelation and insight share. I look forward to seeing you tomorrow. Have an amazing day. God bless you.
