In this episode, we are reminded that there are seasons when God does not ask us to carry more, but to lay down what is unnecessary and walk with greater focus.

The message centers on the call to “travel light” by identifying the one thing that is needful, laying aside every weight, and valuing consistency over intensity. Drawing from Luke 10:40–42, Hebrews 12:1, Luke 9:23, Isaiah 48:17, and 1 Peter 5:7, this episode encourages listeners to release distractions, unnecessary burdens, and spiritual heaviness so they can run their race with endurance.

This is a timely word for anyone entering a new week with a desire for simplicity, clarity, and renewed strength in God. May the Lord teach you what is best for you, show you the way to go, and help you walk lightly enough to remain consistent.

There are seasons where you are not just expected to carry more. In such seasons, you are taught what to lay down, what to focus on, and how to walk lightly enough to continue. Good morning and welcome to this morning's expression of igniting your day with Baby Daily or Lono Toba. This morning, I believe I have a message for someone who has been looking forward to simplicity. While I was praying, I saw someone who was genuinely desirous to know what to let go of this week. This person was not necessarily tired of carrying a heavy load, but truly wanted to keep things simple this week. I do not know exactly what is going on with you. I do not know what the nature of the load you are carrying is, but in your heart you have resolved that this week you are not carrying any extra baggage. There are three things I was inspired to share with you, and I believe that as you take them to heart, the Lord, who is your Father, will guide you and teach you. Remember what Jesus said in Matthew 11 29 that his yoke is easy, he will teach you. I pray that in the same way he will teach you this week in the name of Jesus. We will also take advantage of this opportunity to pray for our spouses. Yes, the fact that they do not talk does not mean there are no loads they are carrying that they want to shed. We will pray for our children also. The fact that they are not talking does not mean there are no loads they are carrying that they want to shed. We will pray for our parents. The fact that they are not talking does not mean there are no loads they are carrying that they want to shed. So this morning, I'm speaking to the person who genuinely wants to travel simple this week. You are saying, Yes, it was a good time carrying that extra baggage, but this week I want to go simple by the help of the Lord. This person is no longer excited by sophistication. This person is no longer excited by the heavy baggage of trying to look good to please people. There are three things I've been asked to share with you. Number one, identify one thing that is needful. Identify one thing that is needful. Let's look at Luke chapter 10, verse 40 to 42. Martha was distracted with so much serving, and she approached Jesus and said, Lord, do you not care that my sister has left me to serve alone? Therefore, tell her to help me. And Jesus answered her, Martha, Martha, you are worried and troubled about many things, but one thing is needed, and Mary has chosen that good part, which will not be taken away from her. Martha was troubled by many things, friends. And um, I do not know who you are or what you do on a daily basis, but maybe over this weekend you were also troubled by many things. But Jesus said to Martha, one thing is needed. Mary chose that good part, and it will not be taken away from her. Are you listening to me this morning and you also want to choose the good part? I bring you the word of the Lord from Isaiah chapter 48, verse 17. The Bible says there, I am the Lord your God who teaches you what is best for you, who shows you the way that you should go in the NIV. I am the Lord your God who teaches you what is best for you, who shows you the way you should go. Can you take a moment and declare? I identify the best part this morning in the name of Jesus. I identify that one thing I'm supposed to prioritize this week in the name of Jesus. I identify the most essential thing this week in the name of Jesus. That one thing that is needful for me, I identify and I give it my energy as I should in the name of Jesus. Pray for your spouse, pray for your child, pray for your parents that they identify that one thing that is essential this week in the name of Jesus. No unnecessary baggage this week, no unnecessary baggage this week. We identify that one thing that is essential in the name of Jesus, amen. Declare concerning yourself that even before you take your bath this morning, or before you get to work, or before you have your breakfast, you identify that one thing that is needful, that one thing that is essential in the name of Jesus. Yes. Yes. Maybe in your own case, there are multiple things that are needed, but those multiple things will have one central theme. That central theme will include all the subcomponents. The Lord is helping you this morning to identify that one essential thing. Isaiah 48 17 says, I am the Lord your God who teaches you what is best for you, who shows you the way you should go. Pray for your children once again. Pray for them once again. They identify that one thing that is essential in the name of Jesus. The second thing that was revealed to me is to lay aside every weight. Lay aside every weight. Yes, there are some things you may have identified in your life that have prevented you from moving as quickly as you should. There are things around you that have prevented you from moving as fast as you should. There are things that have prevented you from being able to travel as far as you should. Hear the word of the Lord this morning. Lay aside every weight that easily besets you. Hebrews chapter 12, verse 1 says, Therefore, we also, since we are surrounded by so great a cloud of witnesses, let us lay aside every weight and the sin which so easily ensnares us. Let us run with endurance the race that is set before us. Let us lay aside every weight. Yes, I pray for you this week. You will be able to live a life that matches the high ranking the Lord gave you in Christ in the name of Jesus. You will be able to live a quality of life that matches the calling God has given you in the name of Jesus. Many times we pick up many things that do not allow us to live the quality of life the Lord expects us to live. The Lord is speaking to me, and the Lord is speaking to you this morning. Lay aside every weight. There are many things that could be interesting to you today, but the question is, do these things lead me to where God is taking me? There are many things that could be interesting to you today, but the question is, how much does this contribute to the things God expects me to achieve today? There could be many things attractive to you today, but the question is, will this thing allow me to start, continue, and finish what I'm expected to do today on time? I do not know who you are, but the message is very clear. You have chosen not to enter this week the way you have always done. You want to go simple, you do not want to proceed with the heavy weight you have always carried. The Lord is saying to you, first, identify that one thing that is needful, and second, lay aside every weight. I just had the word distraction in my spirit. Distraction, distraction, pay attention to everything the enemy wants to do to distract you this week. Pay attention and stay resolved, stay resolved. Take a minute, pray for your spouse, pray for your children, pray for your siblings, pray for your friends that you hold dearly, that they all stay focused this week in the name of Jesus. We lay aside every weight. Hallelujah. I also remember that the same Hebrews chapter 12, verse 1 talks about avoiding spiritual fat in the message translation. Yes, avoiding spiritual fat. Let me read it to you. He says, Do you see what this means? All these pioneers who blazed the way, all these veterans cheering us on? It means we better get on with it. Strip down, start running, and never quit. No extra spiritual fat. No parasitic sins. Did you hear that? No extra spiritual fat. No parasitic sins. Why don't you declare concerning yourself this week? No extra spiritual fat. No parasitic sins. This week I strip down as I should. Anything that does not allow me to fulfill the expectations of God the way I should and on time, I strip them down in the name of Jesus. Yes, my friends, you want to travel far this week, strip down. Strip down and start running. This week, you do not want to go in with that heavy load you carried last week, strip down. Strip down, strip down. So the Lord says to you, my friend, first, identify that one thing that is needful, and second, lay aside every weight that is strip down and start running. Yes. The fourth thing that I was encouraged to share with you is that you should value consistency over intensity. I know that intensity can be very attractive, but if indeed you want to travel as far as you should, please pay attention to consistency. Yes, pay attention to consistency. As the Lord revealed some of these things to me, I began to realize that the reason for some of the heavy weight many of us carry is because we value intensity over consistency. If you really want to be consistent, there's a simplicity required. That simplicity is what can help you come back tomorrow. When it gets too heavy today, you become too tired by the end of the day, and then it becomes difficult for you to show up tomorrow. I do not know who the Lord is talking to this morning, but the word is this value consistency over intensity. Luke chapter 9, verse 23. The Bible says, If anyone desires to come after me, let him deny himself and take up his cross daily, daily and follow me. Let me repeat it daily. If anyone desires to come after me, let him deny himself, take up his cross daily and follow me. There is no need for you to forsake him today and then try to use four times or five times extra power to catch up with him five days later. No, he's already spoken to you about stripping down. Then he says, carry your cross daily. If you can go simple, you can be consistent. I do not know who needs to hear this. If you can go simple, you can be consistent. The reason consistency has been challenging for you is because of the amount and the volume of things you are trying to go in with. If you can go simple, you can be consistent. The Bible says, if anyone desires to come after me, let him deny himself and take up his cross daily and follow me. Friends, please value consistency over intensity. Let the Lord be able to say concerning you, like he said concerning Job, I know my servant. That comes as a result of consistency. Think about Job. The Bible said concerning Job that he made sacrifices regularly for his children. There was consistency in his devotion. Am I saying intensity does not have its place? Am I saying intensity does not have its benefit? Of course it does. But for someone who wants to travel light, and for someone who wants to be able to travel far, you have a better chance with consistency than with intensity. Go simple and you'll be able to repeat what you just did again. Go simple and you can come back again. Go simple and you can do it over and over again. I hope you know that your expertise grows from your ability to do it again and again. Yes, let me say that again. Your expertise grows from your ability to do that same thing over and over again. So, why prepare for intensity when you can actually go simple and repeat the same process again and again? I say to you, go simple so that you can do it again and again. So, in closing this morning, I ask again, who is that person who wants to travel light this week? That heavy load that followed you into last week? Your sincere desire has been that it does not proceed into this week with you. There are three things the Lord wants me to tell you. One, identify the one thing that is needful. Isaiah 48:17 says, I am the Lord your God who teaches you what is best for you, who shows you the way that you should go. Number two, lay aside every way, strip down, strip down everything that doesn't allow you to live the quality of life that is suitable for where God has placed you. Please strip down. Number three, value consistency over intensity. Intensity is good, it is attractive, it has its place. But the Lord is saying, if you want to be able to come back tomorrow and come back the day after, and come back the day after, you need to start attaching more value to consistency over intensity. Your development and expertise lie more in your consistency than your intensity. I do not know who exactly the Lord has spoken to this morning with this, but I believe you have received what belongs to you from what has been shared. Go ahead today, rule your world, take charge, exercise the dominion the Lord has given you, and take full control of your day. I look forward to being with you again tomorrow. Yes. I wish you an amazing day ahead. God bless you.
