There is a kind of gratitude that goes beyond words. It does more than acknowledge what God has done, it brings the soul into rest, remembrance, and deep satisfaction.

In this episode of Igniting Your Day, we reflect on the powerful truth that the soul keeps record of God’s faithfulness. Drawing from Psalm 63:3–5, Psalm 103:1–5, and Psalm 116:7–8, this message invites you to remember the benefits of the Lord, give thanks intentionally, and allow gratitude to settle the deepest part of you.

Even when there are prayers yet unanswered and desires yet unmet, your soul still knows the many ways God has helped, healed, preserved, forgiven, delivered, provided, and sustained you. Gratitude becomes the way you acknowledge those records before God.

This episode is a call to give thanks until your soul is satisfied, until your heart returns to rest, your mouth is filled with praise, and your life becomes an offering of gratitude to the Lord.

Gratitude is not only what you offer to God, it is also what brings your soul back into rest. When the soul remembers the faithfulness of God, it finds language for praise, strength for today, and peace for the journey ahead. Good morning and welcome to Igniting Your Day with Bami Daily or Lon Ottoba. Friends, as the month of April 2026 comes to an end, I want to ask you a question. What kind of gratitude will you give to the Lord for this month that is passing away? What kind of gratitude will you give him? This morning, my attention was drawn in scriptures to something I would call gratitude that satisfies the soul. As I meditated on the scriptures, I was able to understand that whether you realize it or not, your soul is keeping record. Or to put it better, your soul has the ability to keep record of the good things the Lord has done for you. So, as this month of April comes to an end, will you be able to give gratitude that touches all the things your soul has gathered concerning what the Lord has done for you? Will you be able to give thanks sufficiently so that your soul is satisfied? That's what my attention is drawn to this morning. That there is a gratitude that indeed satisfies the soul. I asked, Lord, does that mean my soul can keep record? And I saw from the scriptures that the soul can indeed keep record of the things God is doing in your life. Friends, your soul has the capacity to keep record of the goodness of God in your life. Your soul has the capacity to keep record of the interventions, the mercies, the deliverances, and the benefit of God. Do you not remember that your soul is the seat of your emotions? Do you not remember that your soul is connected to memory? This morning, as the month of April rolls out, know that there is gratitude that satisfies the soul. And this is my encouragement to you. Give thanks to God in such a way that everything your soul knows the Lord has done for you will be fully satisfied. Let's read Psalm 63, verse 3 to 5 from the New King James Version. The Bible says, Because your loving kindness is better than life, my lips shall praise you. Thus I will bless you while I live. I will lift up my hands in your name. My soul shall be satisfied as with marrow and fatness, and my mouth shall praise you with joyful lips. Friends, there is a gratitude which, when you give it, your soul is satisfied. Why? Because your soul can keep record of the different things God has done for you. Your soul can keep record of the different ways God has intervened for you. Your soul can keep record of the different times God stepped in to help you. Your soul can keep record of the different situations where God came in for you and made things better. The Bible says, My soul shall be satisfied as with marrow and fatness, and my mouth shall praise you with joyful lips. Maybe you are asking, How does the soul keep record? How does the Bible justify that the soul has the ability to keep record? Let's go to Psalm 103, verse 1 to 5. Psalm 103 verse 1 to 5. The Bible says there, Bless the Lord, O my soul, and all that is within me, bless his holy name. Bless the Lord, O my soul, and forget not all his benefits, who forgives all your iniquities, who heals all your diseases, who redeems your life from destruction, who crowns you with loving kindness and tender mercies, who satisfies your mouth with good things so that your youth is renewed like the eagles. Friends, all these things the Lord did for you, your soul kept record. Your soul knows that the Lord did them for you. So I am asking you this morning, can you give gratitude that satisfies your soul? I do not know the things you are still believing God for. I do not know the things you are praying about that are yet to manifest, but your soul is keeping record of the ones the Lord has already done. Why don't you this morning give gratitude that satisfies your soul? Do not owe, do not be a debtor, give gratitude. The Bible says you should not forget all his benefits. The Bible says he forgives all your iniquities. The Bible says he redeems your life from destruction. The Bible says he crowns you with loving kindness and tender mercies. The Bible says he satisfies your mouth with good things. Friends, give gratitude. Take a moment now and thank the Lord for your home. Whether it's the home you are leading or the home you came out from, thank God for health, thank God for family, thank him for peace, thank him for the grace to be relevant in the world and still be fruitful for his kingdom. Thank him. Yes, say, Lord, I'm grateful, Lord. I thank you. Among many other reasons, the Bible speaks of rest for your soul. Psalm 116, verse 7 to 8. The Bible says, Return to your rest, O my soul, for the Lord has dealt bountifully with you. For you have delivered my soul from death, my eyes from tears, and my feet from falling. Return to your rest, O my soul. As I acknowledge the different things the Lord has done for me, He has delivered my soul from death, He has delivered my eyes from tears, and He has delivered my feet from falling. Why don't you go ahead this morning? Declare, return to your rest, O my soul. I have rest for my soul. I am grateful and I have rest for my soul. As you speak those words, there is a peace that begins to flood your heart. Gratitude does that. It is not just an act of worship, it is the pathway to a settled and restful soul. Just say once again, Lord, I thank you. Lord, I thank you for this month of April. Thank you for every beautiful thing I enjoyed. Thank you for even the things I'm still trusting to manifest. Lord, I am grateful. Indeed, friends, the Bible talks about gratitude that satisfies the soul. Your soul has the ability to keep record of the beautiful things God has done for you. And when you give thanks fully, intentionally, and from the depths of what your soul knows, your soul finds rest. Your soul finds rest. I leave you with this thought this morning, encouraging you that every spare moment you have today, give thanks. Give thanks. Why? Your soul knows what the Lord has done for you. I'm wishing you an amazing day ahead today, and I pray that your entry into the month of May will be triumphant, victorious, and memorable. Have an amazing day ahead.
