Trust God Behind the Scenes: Peace When You Cannot See His Hand

In this message, we are reminded that seeing no visible signs does not mean God is inactive. Lord can be walking deeply, wisely, and gently, while ensuring that his ongoing process in your life is not disturbed. Good morning and welcome to this expression of igniting your day. This morning, what I have been instructed to tell you is this God is working gently to ensure that there is no disturbance in his ongoing process with you. Let me say it another way. God is working and he is also ensuring that there is no disturbance in his ongoing involvement in your case. God is working, friends, but he is ensuring that there is no interruption in the progress you are making right now. That progress may look very small to you. It may even look as though things have remained the same. But the word of the Lord to you this morning is that He is working and He is ensuring that there is no disruption and no interruption in what is going on. Let us go into the scriptures. Mark chapter 4, verse 26 to 29. The Bible says, And he said, The kingdom of God is as if a man should scatter seed on the ground, and should sleep by night and rise by day, and the seed shall sprout and grow. He himself does not know how. After that the full grain in the head. But when the grain ripens, immediately he puts in the sickle because the harvest has come. Friends, seeing no signs does not mean that God is not active. Let me say that again. Seeing no signs does not mean that God is not active. Among the many principles revealed in this passage, there are two which the Lord will have you pay attention to this morning. First is the principle of hidden growth. Growth is happening even when the farmer is not actively watching or walking. The farmer has scattered the seed, but he does not stand over the ground forcing the seed to grow. He simply sleeps by night and rises by day, yet the seed springs up and grows. This means God can work without disturbing an ongoing process. The old results you have may remain for a while. The threats you are facing may continue for a while. The pain may still be there for a while, but that does not mean God is not working. That is the principle of hidden growth. Something can be growing beneath the surface even when nothing visible has changed above the surface. The second principle the Lord wants you to see in this passage this morning is the principle of mystery. The passage says the seed springs and grows, but the farmer himself does not know how. The farmer benefits from a process he cannot fully explain. He scattered the seed, went to sleep, rose again, and the seed began to grow. The farmer could not fully explain how he became a beneficiary of that process. This is important because there are times when God chooses to work in a way you do not understand. God can choose to walk in a way you cannot explain. God can choose to walk in a way that is not visible to anybody. Not understanding how God is working does not mean God is not working. Let us see this consistent method of God again in scripture. Isaiah chapter 45, verse 15 to 17. I'll read from the message translation. The Bible says, Clearly, you are a God who works behind the scenes. God of Israel, Savior God. Humiliated, all those others will be ashamed to show their faces in public, out of work and at loose ends. The makers of no God idols won't know what to do with themselves. The people of Israel, though are saved by you, God saved with an eternal salvation. They won't be ashamed, they won't be at loose ends ever. In this passage, the message translation presents God as the one who walks behind the scenes. It shows him as the Savior of Israel while exposing the shame and helplessness of idols and their makers. Israel, however, is saved by the Lord with an enduring salvation and will not be left ashamed or confused. In the context of Isaiah 45, God announced that he would rescue his people, but the surprising part was how he would do it. God decided to walk through international politics, kings, empires, and historical movements to accomplish his covenant purpose for his people. So when Isaiah 45, 15 says that God works behind the scenes, it means God was arranging deliverance when Israel could not clearly see his hand. God arranged deliverance for Israel when Israel could not clearly see his hand. So in this month of June 2026, God wants you to be at peace. If you do not see his hand, it does not mean he is not walking. If you do not understand what is happening, it does not mean God is confused. If the pain persists, if the threat continues, it does not mean that the seeds of prayers you have sown are not germinating. Remember the principle of hidden growth. Remember the principle of mystery. That you cannot track the hand of God does not mean God is ignorant in your situation. That you cannot track the hand of God does not mean God is docile in your matter. That you cannot track the hand of God does not mean God is idle concerning the promises and prophecies he has given you. Friends, you may not see the wind, you may not see the ray, yet the valley will be filled. Let's look at another passage. 2 Kings chapter 3, verse 17. I read from the King James, For thus saith the Lord, yet ye shall not see wind, neither shall ye see rain, yet the valley shall be filled with water, that ye may drink, both ye and your cattle and your beasts. The Lord says, You shall not see wind, neither shall you see rain, yet the valley shall be filled with water. Ladies and gentlemen, I make bold to say to you this month of June, get ready for the sudden emergence of the deliverance of God. Get ready for the sudden emergence of the mighty power of God. Get ready for the sudden appearance of the glorious hand of God in everything you do in the name of Jesus. You may not see wind, you may not see rain, yet the valley shall be filled with water for you, for your cattle, and your animals will drink sufficiently in the name of Jesus. So the word of the Lord to you this morning is this the fact that you do not see any recognizable signals does not mean God is inactive in your matter. It does not mean God is inactive in your case. So be at peace in your body, be at peace in your spirit. God is working it out. Let me say that again. Be at peace in your body, be at peace in your spirit, God is working it out. I will close with this scripture this morning. Psalm 46, verse 10, in the King James still. The Bible says, Be still and know that I am God. I will be exalted among the hidden. So, friends, be still and know that He is God. If your results remain the same, be still and know that He is God. If those things you do not like still continue, be still and know He is God. Why don't you just go ahead and thank the Lord this morning? Thank Him because He is God. Thank Him because circumstances on earth cannot force God to react. Nothing surprises God, not at all. Thank Him for His sovereignty. Bless Him because He is Lord of all. Say, Lord, this morning I thank you. I thank you because you are mighty in your ways. And now do something for yourself this morning. Say, Lord, I continue to trust in you. This is what you need, friends. Continue to trust Him. Say, Lord, I continue to trust in you. Now that you have spoken to me and given me understanding of how things can look, I continue to trust in you. In this month of June, when others are saying there is a casting down, because the Lord has engaged you, friends, you can say certainly there is a lifting up. Yes. Father, we thank you this morning. We thank you because you are walking even when we cannot see you. We thank you because you are arranging what we cannot trace. We thank you because our inability to understand the process does not cancel your activity in our lives. Help us to be still, help us to trust you. Help us to remain at peace in our bodies, in our spirits, and in our minds, knowing that you are working things out in Jesus' name. Amen. My dear friends, take a moment today, pray over an area of your life where you cannot yet see visible signs and get clear with faith. Lord, I trust in you.
