The Adam & Dedra Show
We live for craft beer and food.
We are Adam and Dedra! We're on a mission to find the best craft beer and the most ridiculously delicious food we can get our hands on. Based in Arizona, but powered by hops and road trips, we will go wherever the beer flows and the plates are full.
Expect brewery and food reviews, beer-fueled banter, and probably a few questionable decisions (like that time Adam tried a 18.5% barrel aged stout on an empty stomach). Whether it's a tiny taproom in the desert or a big-name brewery in the Pacific Northwest, if it pours, we’re in.
Come for the beer, stay for the fun, and leave with a craving for your next foodie stop.

In this debut episode of The Adam & Dedra Show, we introduce ourselves, share our passion for craft beer, food, and travel, and talk about why we decided to start this show. We created this podcast to bring you along as we explore breweries, discover great local food, and share the experiences that make each stop memorable.
We also talk about what we enjoy most when visiting breweries, the kinds of beers we gravitate toward, and how food is always a big part of the adventure for us. More than anything, this episode is our way of inviting you into the journey and sharing what we hope this show will become: a fun, welcoming space for people who love craft beer, good food, and finding new places to enjoy both.
In this episode:
- We introduce who we are
- We share why we started The Adam & Dedra Show
- We talk about our love for breweries, food, and travel

Hello and uh welcome to the Adam and Deedra show. I'm Adam.
SPEAKER_01I'm Deedra. And uh we're here to introduce ourselves, kind of tell you a little bit about when we go out to breweries and go out to get food restaurants, whether it's from an actual restaurant or from a food truck, just what we kind of look for.
SPEAKER_00Yeah, one of our passions is going to breweries and being able to taste all the wonderful beers out there. Um, I mean, here's a perfect example from Tombstone Brewing Company. It's called Juicy Fruit 2. And I really like the label. It's like the juicy fruit gum. Did you see it?
SPEAKER_01Yeah, actually. And that kind of reminded me of my grandpa because that was one of his favorite gum to chew. All right.
SPEAKER_00Well, cheers, everybody.
SPEAKER_01Oh, this is gonna be so good.
SPEAKER_00Oh, yeah, you're right. It is good, and uh, that is actually our passion. This is a quadruple dry-hopped IPA uh made from Tombstone Brewing Company, and that's out of Tombstone, Arizona. I'm sure that a lot of you are are familiar with the famous cowboy movie, Tombstone, one of my favorites of all time. But uh, we actually went to this brewery um down in in uh it's uh like southeast of Tucson, um, quite a ways. But uh this particular tap house was uh mid-Phoenix. It was the Tombstone North brewing company that we went to to visit this one. Great IPA. Um, and yeah, again, this is our passion. We've traveled through the state. We've gone to Tombstone, Arizona and said, hey, where we're gonna go when we go get there? Let's go to a brewery.
SPEAKER_01Absolutely, other than going to the whole street where they had filmed Tombstone and did one of the scenes down there. Let's not forget to mention that.
SPEAKER_00Yeah. Yeah. But uh, like we've gone to Oregon, Washington, California, Nevada, and we all travel the two of these places to see what kind of breweries are in that area. And uh, I mean, that's one of the funnest things about going on vacation is actually seeing the breweries and the different beers that we're able to try while we're out there.
SPEAKER_01Um, so specifically, like when I go out to a brewery, what I really look for is I like to see if there's any cans to go. I like to see that type of variety um and to see if anything that they have on tap is available in cans to go. Because if I really enjoy it on tap, then I definitely want to bring it home in a can. And when I say variety, like not only is it just like local and what, you know, they carry, but I also want to get like the some of the more exclusive stuff. And I know you like, you really like the stouts and the barrel age stuff. And that's, you know, here and there you can find some really good ones. But what I like to look for a lot is I always look for drekker or I always look for out of order. Those are my two big like go-to ones.
SPEAKER_00So smoothie sours.
SPEAKER_01Yes, I love the smoothie sours. So I'm always looking for that because then that just kind of helps break up some of the beer, like the hazy's, because I love hazy's. Um, so that kind of helps break things up a little bit for me by just having one of those smoothie sours kind of reset the palette differently and then go back to the hazy's and just kind of go back and forth with it.
SPEAKER_00Yep. And as we go to these breweries and uh travel around, our other passion, food. Food. We love food and just going and trying all these unique places. I mean, we try to stay away from the chain places as much as possible and uh just get to explore, see something unique to the region or the area or the city that we're at, and uh just explore and taste. And a lot of times when we do go out, we know we share food a lot, so we're able to have a little of this, a little of that, and uh works out really well.
SPEAKER_01So I like to call that divide and conquer because every time we go somewhere, we try to get something small, like a snack, an appetizer, or if we're a little bit more hungry, we'll get a little bit bigger of a plate. Um, but we like to just separate or not separate, divide, and divide whatever we eat, and then that way we can go to the next place or we're not getting over full and stuffed, or we're just not like, oh my god, but there was this other food place that I wanted to go to, but we really shouldn't have had a hamburger each. I shouldn't have had that meatloaf and then the rack of ribs afterwards. It's like you get carried away.
SPEAKER_00Absolutely, and one of the best parts is after you get full, I get to keep eating. I get to have your share.
SPEAKER_01That is true, and then it's kind of sad because then you don't have time later for more beer because you're just so stuffed that Hey, hey, hey, there's always time for more beer. Okay, you don't there's not enough room immediately, immediately for another beer.
SPEAKER_00Yes, but we really try to get to these breweries. We love to try new foods, and uh what we wanted to do with this show is to invite all of you guys to enjoy the experience with us. And uh we'd we'd love for you guys to be a part of it. And I hope that you enjoy our passion and uh and I hope it's yours too.
SPEAKER_01And my piece would be to say to our audience is please come join us, follow our podcast, follow our Instagram page, our social media page. Please, I mean, come along with us, join, join us if you have any recommendations, send it um through Instagram, through a DM, or even make a comment and just say, hey, if you like this place, then maybe try this place out. You might really like this place. Um, but just any recommendations, whether it's food or just a beer place. Um, we also enjoy bourbon and cigars as well. So if you know of any bourbon and cigar places, maybe and we're in a different town or a city that you guys might know of that you think we might enjoy, definitely share that information with us and we'll try to do our best to hit those places and do our review for that as well.
SPEAKER_00Absolutely. Um, we're based out of Arizona, so um, we do go to a lot of Arizona breweries, um, but we do travel to it. We've gone um so far the western United States, and I think we have a trip to Boston planned also. Um, and we're looking forward to just being able to experience breweries. We want to take you guys along on this journey. I think it's gonna be a great experience. We truly believe that it's uh something that everybody enjoys, at least the craft beer people. Shows like this and interactions with great people brings craft beer to the public. I mean, everybody can think of their first story about when they uh got into craft beer, and it's usually other people bringing them into it. So here's us, and we really hope to enjoy uh just this whole journey and bringing you guys in with it also.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, absolutely. I'm super excited for this.
SPEAKER_00Yeah, and cheers, everybody. We look forward to many, many years of drinking some beer. Cheers.
