The Adam & Dedra Show
We live for craft beer and food.
We are Adam and Dedra! We're on a mission to find the best craft beer and the most ridiculously delicious food we can get our hands on. Based in Arizona, but powered by hops and road trips, we will go wherever the beer flows and the plates are full.
Expect brewery and food reviews, beer-fueled banter, and probably a few questionable decisions (like that time Adam tried a 18.5% barrel aged stout on an empty stomach). Whether it's a tiny taproom in the desert or a big-name brewery in the Pacific Northwest, if it pours, we’re in.
Come for the beer, stay for the fun, and leave with a craving for your next foodie stop.

Episode 5 - In this episode of The Adam and Dedra Show, we head to Temecula, California to visit Bare Knuckle Brewing, a small brewery with a big personality tucked inside the Vail Headquarters area. We talk about the cozy setup, the outdoor patio, the beers we tried, and why this spot keeps pulling us back every time we’re in town.
We also crack open a Monkish hazy called Water Balloon Fight Club, which immediately reminds us why Monkish is one of our favorite breweries for hazy IPAs. And as if great beer wasn’t enough, this episode also includes an unexpected food win from Nora’s Empanada Factory, where we found some seriously satisfying empanadas that paired way too well with the day.
From classic IPAs and red ales to hidden patios, brewery conversations, and food detours that completely deliver, this one was a fun Temecula stop from start to finish.

Hello everyone and welcome to the Adam and Deezer show. And you know what? We have a great beer today. We had it once before. It's one of my favorite breweries that makes hazy's monkish. Um the one we went to was out of Anaheim, California. I think they have their main brewery somewhere else, but I love this brewery. And uh this one is called Water Balloon Fight Club. And it's a double dry hopped double IPA. And uh yes, it's a hate IPA. I think everybody's getting probably tired of that, but they're just so good, right? Yeah, you can't go wrong with it. Cheers, everybody. Cheers. And that does not disappoint. Holy smokes. That is really good.
DedraThat is amazing. But that first sip of beer after a long day, that first sip, it's always delicious. It's always amazing. But when it's a beer like this, it just makes it 10 times sweeter.
AdamOh man, yeah. That is good. That is very good. Probably one of the best ones that we've had to date, um, at least doing the show. But uh, we actually had a lot of fun.
DedraI actually was gonna ask you, in your opinion, what makes it the best? What makes it so good?
AdamIt's just like a real smooth, it's it's not too bitter. Sometimes uh with hazy IPAs, it can be a little bit bitter, and uh it's okay that they're bitter, but they're not made to be. Uh traditional hazy IPAs are actually made to be juicy in flavor with the hop aroma that kind of goes with it. And uh this one really does that same thing. It is just a it's a great, great, great flavor on the beer. And uh, you know, I'm not sure exactly the hops that they used inside of this, but uh I humunkish is just one of those ones that just knows how to do it right. They they do a great job at making easy, so thank you.
DedraAbsolutely. I mean, check out that color.
AdamOh, yeah, and it's nice, uh good mouthfeel to it, nice and creamy. It's just a very good tasting beer. Today we're talking about a brewery in Temecula, California. Um, Temecula, if you're not familiar with it, is is wine country, but they actually have a great um uh beer community that's kind of it's been around. I mean, we've been going there for years and years, and uh they have a lot of great breweries. And uh this one is is fairly new uh by comparison on a lot of them. I think it was supposed to be called Temecula Brewing Company, or maybe it was to start with, but it ended up turning into uh Bear Bare Knuckle uh Brewing Company. Um there we are, that's the name of it. Bear Knuckle Brewing Company, and it was in a really neat place. Um, it's in the Vale district in Temecula, it's off Temecula Parkway and right off the uh 15 Highway. And um that area is like it's like a really like old town. They got like dirt ground still, um, old wagons, and I think it's kind of from like the 1800s is is where that little area is. Um I don't know if it's exactly it's really neat.
DedraI like it. So like they have the the buildings, um, breweries, restaurants, little shops, things like that that go on the outside. And in the center, they have this little grass area that's roped off, not roped off, but they have this grass area and they have some picking tables that it looks like they have events and maybe concerts out there. I can't remember if they have like a platform, like a raised board.
AdamThey did, kind of like towards the street.
DedraOkay, yeah.
AdamAnd it's like it's like a little courtyard, and it's really, really neat and unassuming. You you go in there and there's like Marshalls, there's home or Walmart inside there.
DedraOh, right. But like that whole area down that strip mall, yes. There's all the the chain um stores, the shopping stores.
AdamBut then you walk in right there, and it's like you're in a whole new world.
DedraYeah. And going back to what I was saying is they have like that grass area, and then they have the picnic tables, but it's roped the the rope lights. That's where the that's where rope was coming from. I know I was trying to use it in something. Um, but it's it's really neat. It's really neat. And I think that's definitely I would love to go there and just see a concert and just hang out there um and have a beer out there. Yeah, I think that would be really neat.
AdamIt was getting a little warm when we were there, so we kind of like had to had to move fast. But uh in this area, Bare Knuckle Brewing is kind of nestled in and into one of the little nooks out there. And uh we've been there probably three times already, and uh this time did not disappoint. We had some some great beers. Um, I think I had an IPA, and the first thing I got, I think, was their flagship. It was called Stars and Strikes. And uh that was a really good IPA, very clean flavor. Um, it it was just a regular American IPA, just just a very classic, classic beer, and they sell they said more of that than uh pretty much any other IPA that they make there. Um I I I really enjoyed it. I just sat there. We were talking with the uh beer tender at that time and just kind of just talking about everything. I mean, he's he's visited some other places that we've been to, and uh just talking with him was a great time. Oh, for sure. Yeah, and while we were there, the the the guy was uh the brewer was there, um, not really doing anything but like little cleanup things. Um, and it's such a small place. I mean, you walk in and you're taller than the fermenters, they only had like a three-barrel system there.
DedraWell, not everybody. All right, that was above five foot or yes, like you were saying, you go in and it it is very small on the inside. When you first walk in, that's where all of their brewing equipment is. Um, and then there's like a little small section with a uh little bar high top. Um maybe one kind of tall table that's like uh in the corner that has an L-shaped bench that goes with it, and then just like some, I think maybe two or three two-seater tables.
AdamIt fits like the inside.
DedraRight. And that's they're they're maxed out on the inside, but it's really nice because once you walk in and you go up to the bar, um, they have a window that goes through and you can see the the outside, the back area, and that's such a beautiful view. And it's California and it's out in Temecula. So the weather there is for the most part, it's always amazing.
AdamYeah, usually, just not when we go for some reason.
DedraI can tell you. Oh man. Um, but it's just it's a lot of places out there, I just don't feel like our need to have air conditioning just because the weather there is just constantly always just so beautiful.
AdamYeah.
DedraUm, but on that day it was it was a little unreasonably warm.
AdamI mean it was in the 90s, which is I mean, for that area, I guess it does get to the 90s every year, but it's like, why wouldn't we go?
DedraYou know, right.
AdamWhy can't they have good weather when we're there?
DedraSo um you get through, or you can go out actually onto the patio, and it's a really beautiful, like big patio. Um, they have this one huge giant tree that pretty much provides shade for the whole back area. And they have towards the back of the um the outside area, they have their big old wooden plank sign that has their name on it. And that also looks kind of like a stage too.
AdamWell, they said they actually have bands there sometimes, and it must be during the weekend. I mean, we're we were there like on a Monday or Tuesday or something.
DedraSee, and that's our problem. We always go, and it always ends up being like a Monday. We need to go there and plan it to where we can actually see like a concert and have a beer there. I think that would be that would be awesome. I don't know why we haven't planned that out yet. Um, I think that's something that we should definitely do.
AdamAnd we're trying to avoid the crowds too.
DedraBut I mean, to see a concert, oh yeah, it'd be worth it.
AdamTotally. While I was having the stars and strikes, what were you having? I can't remember.
DedraUm sing stars. Um, it was sing stars and it was a hazy. And that was actually the first one that I had. That was the first one of the day. Um, and I just love, I love me some good hazy. And every opportunity that I get whenever we go out, that's the first thing I'm immediately eyeballing looking at the menu. I'm just like, what kind of hazies you got?
AdamEspecially if it's a good one too.
DedraActually, and you know what? And I don't know why I don't. Um I should just start ordering flights of all their hazies whenever I go, because I'm not a flight person. Um, I like to just take a little sip and then commit to a full pint. So I think that's what I need to do that I've been doing it wrong. I need to start ordering flights of all the hazies. All the hazies, all the hazies and all the IPAs. Because I think whenever I think about a flight, I'm always just like, oh, you know, you gotta have the steps, you gotta have this, you gotta try everything and mix and match. I don't want to. So I think that's what I'm gonna start doing is I'm gonna just start ordering is I think I'm gonna start just ordering like a flight of all the hazy's and the IPAs. And that I've been doing it wrong. Okay. I am now a flight person. All right.
AdamI think they only had one hazy while we were there, though.
DedraYeah, and I had that.
AdamYeah.
DedraI should have asked.
AdamThey had a couple uh IPAs. I think I tasted both of them. The Stars and Strikes, not Stries, Stars and Stripes, it was Stars and Strikes because it is bare knuckle brewing. Um, that one was the better of the two that I thought. And I after just getting a quick sip of uh of both of them. Um, but I ended up getting more beers in there. You're like, I'll drive. I'm like, okay, well then I'm gonna have this one and this one too.
DedraIt's always an easy selling point. Yeah. Whatever I offer. Like, I'll drive, I'll drive us to the next place. Okay.
AdamThe second one, and actually went outside uh the box, not not really for me, because I do like to try a little bit more variety than than you typically do, but I had one called Ropa Dope and uh uh interesting name. I liked it. And it was uh it was an amber ale or red ale, I'm sorry, and it was really good. I it was very, very um classic again. I'm gonna just call it a classic flavor, uh, amber or red ale. Um wasn't very hoppy, it was had a good malt flavor to it, and it was just a good sipping beer, especially breaking it up between um a couple IPAs. It was just something that was nice and mellow and just nice to just sit there and relax and drink it. And again, it was a it was a warm day while we were there. So if you have something that's drinking like 7.5% alcohol on every single drink, it's and sweating, it's like that's not that's not a very good combination.
DedraIt sounds like a terrible afternoon. Yeah, but it was that one was good.
AdamSo it was a good, it broke it up, it was only like five percent alcohol or something like that. And it was a side just and sat there and enjoyed the time talking with the bartender and you, of course. And uh yeah, we had someone else with us too that had a seltzer, and uh they you know they or no, it was a cider, I'm sorry, and it was like a raspberry cider, and it was I think the collaboration, or did they bring that one in from another uh brewery? I can't remember exactly. I can't remember that one either. We weren't we weren't drinking it, so it's kind of hard to remember something we didn't have. Pay attention when you weren't drinking something, but they really enjoy ciders and they they actually they really liked this. And um, I think over the course of the day they said that that was their their favorite drink, too. So I was, I mean, as far as ciders go, I mean, is I I'm not a big fan of them. Um, I've tried a few, and actually I've had some that have been uh decent. I've had ones that tasted like apple pie and just amazing things, but uh it's not something I typically go to. But they liked it.
DedraSame, same for me. The other thing that we found out that with bare knuckle is they actually have a menu and they serve food there. Oh, that's right. So when we were there, we had we had brought some food in, but there was um there's other people there that actually had ordered food. So when we went inside, once we were done eating, and you can bring food, you know, outside food into bare knuckle, they don't mind.
AdamUm at least they didn't that day. I don't know. True, true, who knows?
DedraUm, but we saw some food getting delivered to some other people that were sitting right across from us. And those wings we were, yes, and that's what I was getting to was um we were just like, what? Like you guys serve food because the place is so small, you're like, where's the kitchen? We were just like kind of looking around because we're like, this place is small, where's the kitchen? Where are you making food at? And it's actually upstairs. And I was just we were just like, What upstairs?
AdamIt's like looking at the ceiling, it's like an eight-foot ceiling. We're like, what?
DedraYeah. So it and the the guy that was serving our beers had actually told us that the wings were actually really good on Wednesdays. They have a special, I think it was, or it was it just on Wednesdays they sold wings.
AdamNo, it's because I thought those people there at the bar got wings. I mean, I could be wrong. I was I thought I was looking at them and saying, like, I wish I got those wings. But we like just got stuffed.
DedraSo oh, well, we didn't know that they had food.
AdamYeah, no.
DedraAnyways, but I definitely that's another thing that when we do go back, I definitely want to try out their menu. Um, it looked like they had a pretty good menu. And again, the guy said that you know he has worked a couple other different jobs and has had um wings before. Everybody everybody loves wings. Who doesn't? But he was saying that theirs were really good. So I don't know if he was just talking it up, but he definitely sold me.
AdamSo well, that's not hard to do when it comes to wings. I mean, you really enjoy them. So I love wings.
DedraOh my gosh, I will get wings. I I bet I would almost get a flight of wings over a flight of beers. Almost, almost, not not for certain. Yeah, yes, those those are fighting words. They are fighting words.
AdamGood thing we're at beer knuckle would have been condoned there.
DedraRight, right.
AdamI know that that it did look really good, but um the the place because it was so small, the inside part was small at least. Um, and and the brewery's like right there. They don't have it behind like a door, they have like a little pony wall that they have it, everything too, and it's like just their equipment is right there. Um, they don't even have a bright tank. I actually asked them about that. They ferment and uh carbonate the beers inside the fermentation tanks and coal crash. Yeah, that's the word I was trying to look for. Coal crash it right there, probably pull the yeast and then uh yeah, me pulling at my beer vocabulary. I know. How did you know? Um, but it it was just uh a very quaint place, and and those types of places, um, and I can't say regardless of the weird beer tastes like, you have to have good tasting beer still. But when you have a small place like that, and it's just you're able to talk, and and other patrons that are there too, and they're at other tables because you're in such close quarters, it's very easy to just strike up conversations with other people, and that's that's fun. I mean, just having to talk, and hey, do you ever been to this place? And you just start talking about other breweries.
DedraYeah, I know some people go out and they're just like, no, no, no, no, I don't, I don't, I'm just out here to have a beer. I don't want to talk to people, but not us. We're like, hey, where so where are you from? Are you out of town too? Guess where we're from? Yeah, oh, you love beer? We love beer. You love food? Oh my god, I love food. And it just turns into like this big thing.
AdamYeah, totally. And that's kind of what we did. I mean, that's what we did with the bartender there, too.
DedraOh, for sure. We oh, and we we got some points or some some tips actually from him. And we actually found out about this this really neat place in um not in Phoenix. It was out, was it out in Scottsdale?
AdamIt was like North Scottsdale or North, yeah, it was North Phoenix because it was uh right by the desert ridge area, and it was like a ice cream place, right? Like shakes and stuff, like a 50s bar or 50s, like a milk milkshake place. And uh then he said, but it was also a speakeasy, like you go in through what, like a cooler or something like that, and behind that is uh a speakeasy.
DedraYes, and we were like, what? No way. So we that's another thing that we got to try out. Yeah. Speaking of food, um, and being at Bear Knuckle, there was a place because Bear Knuckle had hadn't quite opened yet, so we figured, you know, oh, we'll just stop, we'll get something to eat really quick within that little courtyard area. Um, and there wasn't a ton of things that were open at that time, because for one thing, it was a Monday. So I feel like a lot of businesses are taking, you know, Mondays off. So we were like, okay, well, it's lunchtime, we gotta get something to eat, something to go with our beer other than another beer. So we were like, oh, okay, let's let's see what's open. And we had already been there's like maybe what four places there, and we were already, we already went to 50% of those places.
AdamOne of them we went to the door members like try the other door that's right next to it. Maybe it's not locked. Sitting there shaking at the door, just so aggressive. It's locked.
DedraAnd they're also closed.
AdamYeah, that's a big old sign, and I'm still like trying to shake the door open.
DedraSo we trekked it across the courtyard, hot, and pretty much just crawled our way across, hungry, thirsty, sweating. So our choices were this empanada place or um was it a pizza place that we had already been to?
AdamYeah.
DedraSo we're just like, you know what? How often do you ever have empanadas? That's not something that you typically like in your wheelhouse of food cravings, you know, it's pizza, um, burgers and tacos, those things. Nobody ever says, Oh, you're points. Um, nobody ever's like, ooh, I'm craving a good empanada, you know.
AdamSo you have any good empanada places around here?
DedraRight, go to the Yelp for that.
AdamYeah, but it was called Nora's Impanada Factory. And I went in there and it was just like they had like a little display. It had again like four seats inside, and they were taken. So we went up to the counter and it looked like they had like three empanadas inside the um display case display case, and we're like, huh, I guess uh we don't really have many choices. He goes, Oh, I got more. I just gotta, you know, they're they're in the oven, they're gonna be coming out right now.
DedraSo uh you have three empanadas. Yeah.
AdamIt's like there's four of us and they look pretty small.
DedraBut uh at this point, I I mean No, and actually, like the longer I stood there, the more I started to see like the menu and the varieties. So instead of just seeing like the the little three that are that were left over that were picked over, you started to see like the all the different signs. Um, and they probably had a good dozen choices, maybe. Yeah. Um, so we'll let you tell them what we had ordered.
AdamOh my mouth's gonna watery, and that's what you see that happening.
DedraI I was like, I'm gonna let you take over.
AdamThey had a like a beef one, like a shredded beef, I think it was. They had a chicken one, which we got. Um, there was a like a pizza one, which I think it was, it was think it was pepperoni, marinara, and like a cheese. And then they also had a a ham and cheese. We got those four. They had other choices. Um, we just got a variety again. We were sharing with other people. So we got like two of this, two of that, two of that, and uh an extra one. And it didn't take that long. It was like only like 15 minutes in the oven or something. And uh we just went to town on them and just ate it. It's like they're like little mini hot pockets. I mean, if if nobody's had it, it's an Argentinian food, I believe. And uh, you know, that I don't know any Argentinian people, but uh, if you're out there, I'd I'd I enjoyed empanadas and I hope to have them again. And thank you for bringing such a great food to America.
DedraOh, for sure.
AdamI loved it. Um, the beef one uh especially, I like that one a lot. Uh it came with like a chimichuri too that you could put on on there, and it was really good. Uh the the chicken was probably my least favorite, and for no other reason, besides that, you know, chicken is a little bit more blander in flavor. And in fact, whenever there's anything on the menu and you have your choice between beef and chicken, I generally get the beef because I just I I mean, I like the flavor of beef a lot more. Uh, the ham and cheese was surprisingly good. I think we only got like a little portion of that one because they're like, I'll throw in an extra one. And we got the ham and cheese. That was surprisingly good. I mean, it it was different. I thought it was gonna be like chunks of ham in it, and remember it was like slices. Yeah. Yeah. And then uh the pizza one you liked a lot too. I thought it was a little salty, but that was I'm a little bit more sensitive to that nowadays. But you like that one the best, right?
DedraI did. I really enjoyed that the pizza one. Um, this isn't gonna last.
AdamThis beer's almost gone.
DedraYeah, you know what? I I caught myself a little while ago. I was like, oh, don't chug it, don't chug it. Easy, easy. I'm just looking at now. Um go ahead.
AdamSorry about the pizza one. I'm sorry.
DedraI'm like dipping the tongue in there. Hit the bottom, hit the bottom.
AdamPizza empanada.
DedraUm, yes, great, go get it, try it. I'm gonna go back to this.
AdamBut that North's empanada factory, and we heard from uh one of our or one of our friends that was there with us that it they actually sell at the farmer's market there too. So they actually have um their empanada place, I think, somewhere else. And that's just like a little tiny like a little satellite. Yeah, like a satellite store or or just a small uh storefront for it. And um I the Temecula uh farmer's market is actually a really neat place. Again, a bunch of great foods and and you know, all the other crap. I don't care about all the other crap. I like the food, so honestly. Sorry, no, there's a lot of great art and stuff like that. And it's actually it's a really neat uh farmer's market. I mean, just like any other farmer's market, but being into Mechula, it's their old town and uh the area is just wonderful. And walking around the place usually has good weather. Again, like I said, not when we're there, but they generally have better weather. And um the I mean those empanadas were were great, and it was a fun thing to get. We just grabbed it and uh we started eating outside and we're like, oh, do you know what it's one o'clock? They should they should be open. So we walked over there to the brewery, got beers, and then sat out out in their uh outside patio area under, you know, they had some shade there and everything, and we just sat under there, started going to town on those empanadas and drinking the beer with it. Um we did have the same beer also, though. The uh um what the hell was it? The down down goes Nelson, was it? Yes, yeah, and that was just uh an American IPA. I assume they use Nelson hops. Just you know, I'm just making an assumption. Throw it out there, yeah. And uh it's something that I've discovered to be actually a really good hop. It's kind of like a melony flavor. Melon tastes like melon. I don't know her. Yeah, I don't either. Oh man. It has like a a melon flavor, like a a cantaloupe or a honeydew or something like that. Yeah, the hops kind of give it the beer that uh type of flavor. And actually, um, so after that one, I think that was the last beer that we had, and and uh we each got a pour of that. I thought it was so good that I think you ended up getting that too, because after you tried mine.
DedraYes, I did get it, but I got a smaller pour because I was like, okay, we're gonna well, I'm driving and we're moving on to the next um beer place, or actually it was a winery, winery slash beer place. Yeah. That's on a that's on a different episode though. Um I can't wait to talk about that one. Yeah. However, so I just got a small pour on that one, which was really good. Um, and I can't wait actually to go back and have some more and drill and try those wings. I really want to have those wings.
AdamWell, the stars and strikes, I know they've had that one before. I think they got like a handful of them that they they usually have there. I know that stars and strikes is one of them. I I can't remember the rest. They have one called like knockout blonde and and a couple others. So they do have some flag shits, but every single time we go in, um, they have uh something different also that we haven't had before. And usually they they'll have like a sour and a seltzer and a and a side or two just to kind of break it up and and uh appeal to more people. Um actually, one of the times we went, do you remember it was like pouring down rain? And uh there was there's a winery right next door too. So we just took our beers into this winery, and that was like an enclosed, more of an enclosed barn.
DedraOh my gosh. Yes. So, and I'm really glad that you brought that up because that winery, oh my gosh, yes, it is it's just like a giant barn. And inside they have just a bunch of antiques, but they have this huge window that shows that goes directly to the center where the courtyard is. So we were able to, and they have like a seating area for couches, they've got a big long wine bar, they've got like some areas where you can go and sit and stuff like that and have your wine. Yeah, the couches. Um, but they also have some high top like round tables closer towards the windows, and it was beautiful. And I think I don't know if they allow people all the time to go in there and bring beer, but that day they did allow us to.
AdamAnd they're like, Make you gonna bring back your cups.
DedraYes, but it it was pouring rain and just having those giant windows and being able to sit there and watch. And they had this little electric fireplace, um, and they had some couch uh couches and chairs that were uh surrounding it, but like a little ways, there was um some round high top tables that we just sat at, and it was just it was beautiful. It was so peaceful just to sit there and have a beer and watch you know the rain and then go back to the couch and sit by the fire and talk. Well, electric fire, like it was electric.
AdamNo, but it was good, and then uh so peaceful.
DedraLike I probably could have taken a nap. Yeah, it was it was nice.
AdamThe people we were with um didn't want beer at that point, you know. I haven't um beer after beer just could you know you get full after a while. Um beer logged. You can't, I can't, but I'm usually good for another. But um they they wanted to have a glass of wine and uh really good wine there too. Yeah, um, Temecula Valley honestly has some really good places for wine, also. Uh you know, I don't discriminate, I I like it all. And uh, but uh we were having the beers at from the brewery inside there while they drank the wine, and we were all able to get something that we liked and enjoy it in a wonderful place, watch the rain, and yeah, we're just sipping probably as slow as I'm doing this right now because I got down to the very end, and I just oh my god, it's so good.
DedraI felt like you got any more of that, easy.
AdamYeah, but out of the three, I had two IPAs and then that uh red ale, and all of them were really good beers. Um nothing compared to monkish. I I gotta throw that out there, but not to say there's anything bad with the beer that they had. I the place was just such a quaint little place. I enjoyed the atmosphere a lot. Um, and the beers were good while we sat there and and drank together. It was just it was a it was a fun place.
DedraI I really enjoy it. And like you said earlier, you know, we've been there about three times, and every time that we've been there, I've always enjoyed it. I've always just enjoyed the conversation. The people that go there and the people back there serving the beer are I have always just had really good conversations with everybody every time that we've been there. And um, the people that we've taken, they've enjoyed this, they've enjoyed the place too. And they actually gave us a gift card to that place for I think Christmas. Which is that didn't that didn't last long.
AdamBut it was kind of funny because um being at that at that little place, they live there in Temecula. Uh and we coming from outside have introduced them to all these places. Hey, I wanted to check this place out. And they're like, We lived here for 15 years and I've never seen this before.
DedraYou want to go where?
AdamYeah, we're like, let's go. And and uh, you know, it's just it's it's fun, you know, to be able to do that. And really enjoyed the beer, uh, the place. The empanadas, holy crap. I'm gonna find another empanada place because I enjoyed that.
DedraThere's so now we're gonna have a quadruple. So instead of the holy trifecta, now it's become a we threw a bunch of empanadas in there.
AdamWell, there's that other place too, that Cornish pasty company that has the Cornish pasties. I don't know if anybody's had those. It's like an empanada, almost the same thing, but it's like three times the size of it, I feel.
DedraYeah, it's a way big, fancy hot pocket for sure. Yeah. And like the, but it's not as bready as like your regular hot pockets are, but yeah, that is such a good concept because that's literally like like a hamburger. You're gonna eat everything. You're eating the bun and everything, like your meal that's on your plate, you eat that whole thing.
AdamIt's in a little pouch so you don't get messy. Yeah, and it's well, sort of. I still end up squirting on my shirt somehow.
DedraIt's it's you can take it to go. Yeah, it travels well.
AdamAnd do you remember how hot that was? Oh, and I didn't tell you. Uh, when I was in there waiting, waiting for it. I went in there and I was just kind of pacing. Is that another one? No, but he gave me this little cheese ball thing, and it was almost like a puffed pastry thing with like cheese in the inside of it. He goes, Well, one of these while you wait. And and I was like, Yeah.
DedraIs that why you kept like, oh, oh, oh, go see it's ready? I'll be right back. I'm gonna see if they're ready. And was like, you were just in there. He was you were being fed the whole time.
AdamYeah.
DedraWow.
AdamYou wonder why I sat there and was like, Oh, yeah, I'm full. Everybody else is like, Why is he so full? No, I'm just kidding. Oh man, but it was a great time. If uh you haven't experienced Temecula, it's it's uh really, really I don't want to talk to you anymore. Oh man.
DedraEating without well, you know what?
AdamAm I supposed to do? He handed it to me and he goes, You want one of these? I was like, Yep.
DedraYou could be like, Hey, can I get one from my wife? She's gonna be kind of upset if if I don't if I eat without her and I don't offer her any or I don't share. Well, I paid.
AdamSo anywho. Um, no, great time there.
DedraUm finish the show by yourself.
AdamThis uh beer from Monkish, double dry hopped, double IPA called uh what is it, soap? What was it called again? Water balloon fight club. Oh my god.
DedraLet me let me check out that the the label.
AdamIt's kind of like the fight club, you know, the paper street soap company.
DedraYeah. I was gonna say I really enjoy it so much that I might get the tattoo, but I wanted to see what the label was like. I don't want to get anything silly or you know.
AdamNo, a pink piece of soap would be fine.
DedraOh, yeah, yeah. Tramp stamp that.
AdamOh god. All right, you went there with it. Anywho, um, Temeca, California had a great time. Bare knuckle brewing, um Nora's Impanata Factory, and this monkish IPA. Great stuff. Cheers, everyone. Um cheers.
DedraDown the hatch. Yep, appreciate it. If you have any places that you think that we would also love and that you can recommend, throw it out there. Cheers.
