Arizona Wilderness Pregame: Hazy IPAs, Surprising Barrel Aged Program & Episode 10 Chaos

Episode 10 - In this milestone 10th episode of The Adam and Dedra Show, we head back to one of our favorite downtown Phoenix spots, Arizona Wilderness Brewing Co. on Roosevelt Row. We stopped in before a Diamondbacks game for a little pregame action, which of course meant hazy IPAs, food, laughs, and Adam using “due diligence” as an excuse to order a full flight of specialty barrel-aged beers.

We kicked things off with Mini Super from Societe Brewing Company out of San Diego, then dove into our Arizona Wilderness visit, including Every Day is Earth Day, Death to IPA, a few Co-op specialty releases, and a surprise barleywine that Dedra actually enjoyed. We also get into their Wicked Chicken sandwich, duck fat fries, homemade ketchup, and why their downtown Phoenix location is such a great spot for beer, food, and patio time before a game.

Of course, because it’s us, the episode also takes a few turns. We talk Memorial Day weekend, shout out breweries supporting veterans, celebrate episode 10 with spirit fingers, deal with allergy voices, and somehow introduce “Glado” (the guy version of the smoking, New Jersey born voice character of Dedra called "Gladys") to the world. It’s craft beer, food, baseball, and ridiculous conversation... exactly the kind of chaos we love.

All right. So we're drinking a beer today from Society Brewing Company out of San Diego. It's called Mini Super, which is a West Coast IPA at 7.2%. And I really like this can art. It's it's pretty unique. And I'm not a hundred percent familiar with this brewery. But did you see the back of the can? It has like stuff that you'd find at a convenience store. So it's got like scratchers, it's got capsules, it's got uh oh, it's got like a machine cup of noodles on there.

ATM machine. I don't know what I just said, but ATM machine.

I know some papitas, chip bags, paletas, yeah. So it's yeah, I thought it was pretty interesting. Mini super.

Just just looking at the backside of it, I would have totally guessed like this was the menu of an ice cream truck. Yes, yes, that's what it totally looks like. But once you start looking at it, I mean there's lighters, there's a ATM, and that's definitely you're not gonna get that on an ice cream truck and scratchers, but the cup of noodles. Oh, cup of noodles. Yes, like I I love me some cup of noodles, especially the spicy chicken. I know it's like up there in sodium, and that's like verge of probably a heart attack. Oh yeah, but man, I'll I'll risk a heart attack for a cup of noodles or something that's got you know more sodium than I should be allowed to have.

But YOLO. You got those bowls too, and they say it's like I don't eat those bowls. No, but they say that it's like serving size, like two or three, and it's just like, yeah, right. You know everybody's just eating that themselves. Who shares those?

Um, and actually, because they you they have a really neat program, and there are some other breweries that do the same program as well, but you can go there and you can buy a veteran a beer. So we've had some friends uh that we've taken there, and we've been it's it's a super easy process. You just tell them, like, hey, I'm a veteran. They give you whatever one free beer that visit.

Yes, yes, you're right. They give you a coin, and then you can choose to save that coin, or you can just redeem it right then and there. So the friends that we were there with that night, um, they actually redeem their drink that night. And I was just like, that is awesome. Like I appreciate breweries that have any sort of program like that. And also, I don't think you guys can see my hat, but I also have uh Avondale Firefighter Charity.

Adam 3:37

So yeah, she's all into the shout outs.

Dedra 3:40

Yeah. So shout out to Avondale Firefighters, yes, um, plus all all the firefighters, you know, not just Avondale, um, but they used to pay uh do a lot of charity events. They would team up with TCBC. Yeah, a bunch of breweries, yeah. It was an annual event that they would do there. So I anytime that they had that event, I was I always just made sure I just bought more than I should. Because I knew I I bought more and drank more than I should, but I knew it was because it was going to a good cost.

Adam 4:11

Yeah. So and funny story, art when you took him over there to the because he wouldn't get it himself. He wouldn't get that that free beer himself over at Homeland. He you had to actually take him to the counter because it's like, no, I I'm I'm good. I I don't I don't need it. And I'm like, no, look at all those. There's like I don't know, 80 beers over there that are for veterans. I'm like, you gotta get one of those. Oh, that's what it's for. And you took him over there and got it for him, so that like, hey, he's a veteran. How does he get it?

Dedra 4:37

Well deserved. Yes, it was. I I would buy the beers for him for the rest of his life.

Yes. Um absolutely art, love you, man.

Yes, and all of our and all of our veterans.

Yes. But today's episode is not about Homeland Brew Company. Um, we are we went to Arizona Wilderness this weekend. Of course, we hit another baseball game because uh we love baseball. And we went to one of our favorite places down in downtown Phoenix, Roosevelt Row, and uh they have Arizona Wilderness uh brewing and Arizona Wilderness, it has a uh place in I think it's either Gilbert or Mesa. I don't know exactly the the city that they're in, but they have a downtown Phoenix location that is always just packed. I mean, just open concept. They have a huge, they like double the space inside is outside. And outside they have Mr.'s complete shaded cover, they have an outdoor bar plus an indoor bar, and what a fun place. I I really enjoy it. They do food there and beers. Absolutely. And oh my gosh, we had a great time. I mean, we were going, we were pregame in the the uh Diamondbacks game.

Dedra 5:49

Which we won, by the way. So another big shout out to the Diamondbacks.

Adam 5:53

Yes, and you know they've been on a roll.

They've been on a roll so far.

Yes, and usually when I go to games, what happens?

Dedra 6:00

Oh my gosh, we lose.

Yeah, we lose.

But you know what? I think it's because we left a little bit early on that game. So I think that's why we we won that one. I think we won that one by one.

Adam 6:13

No, no, no, we because we were we were up quite a bit, and they started catching up a little, but we still won by a few. And I I can't I can't remember how many runs, but it was still they won. And yes, we did leave early because we did we weren't driving, so we had to catch an Uber back up to that area where our friend's car was, and uh it wasn't gonna work when we were releasing from the end of the game.

Right, and we just wanted to make sure that we kind of got ahead of traffic that for the end of the game. Um, but we well, we also had ulterior motives, so yeah, we had other places to visit that being Roosevelt. Uh okay, so let's bring it back really quick because a couple weekends ago we went up to the festival up in Clarkdale for Smeltertown, and I probably sounded like crap because you know, my allergies were terrible and it attacked me and I was just struggling. So, and I did apologize ahead of time and I was just like, oh God, I probably sound like I have a pack of cigarettes, you know. Gosh, how many how many packs of cigarettes am I finishing in an hour? Two, three?

Adam 7:20

Oh my gosh.

The way that I felt like I just felt like, so duelin, can you can you get me my cigs and my lighter?

So now here we are a week later. And the wind continued in Phoenix. Yeah, and uh totally, totally got me.

Dedra 7:42

So now Adam was over here sounding as terrible as I did. Or actually, like uh Gladys. Hey, hey, don't don't bring out bring out Gladys.

Um I was like, well, wait a minute. What if I actually sound like that? And I don't know I sound like that.

No, but I was like, after I started to kind of get my voice back, I was like, God, what if I really do sound that terrible? Oh man. Oh man, just you don't turn my microphone off. Oh no, you didn't. I'm out of here.

I listened to the video, the audio, and you did not sound that bad.

All right. What I hear in my head probably, and what you heard in your head is probably different than what everybody else hears. So although I can get pretty low right now.

What I what I heard was so we were out Smeltertown, right? All of a sudden, Clockdale, Clockdale, Arizona.

Adam 8:54

All of a sudden you were a Jewish lady from New Jersey.

Dedra 8:57

Yeah. So I had this hazy. What? And then these tattoos, and oh my god, the wind, and the loud live music. It was terrible.

Adam 9:08

You almost sound like do you remember on Karate Kid, the first one when they first get to Resita and she's by the pool that's like empty?

Dedra 9:16

Yeah.

Adam 9:17

And he's oh, you're from Jersey?

Dedra 9:18

I'm from Jersey. And I was like, and then there was this gas station in the middle of nowhere. Totally. I'm gonna should we be eating these burgers? Oh my gosh. Right next, right next to the veterinarian place.

Adam 9:36

I'm gonna attempt to rein it in here.

Dedra 9:40

Because you can just go hug.

You just keep going with this, and it's hilarious. Oh yeah, take a drag. So yeah, the beers over at Arizona Wilderness. I'm gonna go and bring it in. I promise. Sorry. You're gonna give me the hack.

Oh, that's what I've also one of my other small hidden tones is that I like to do some impersonations from time to time. And that will probably never happen again. But because this is the 10th episode, oh yeah, that was a special impersonation. So for those of you listening, it's probably not gonna happen again, only on episode 10.

Nope. Oh man, so what did we get when we got there? Hazy IPAs when we got to Arizona Wilderness, of course. So I had one called Every Day is Earth Day, which was a double dry hopped, hazy double IPA, 8.4%, right up my alley, of course. And you had a hazy too.

Dedra 11:23

I did also a double. So it was uh death to IPA, and it was a hazy double at 8%, actually. And for me, starting off a little bit high, I usually try to start off like around seven, but I was like, you know what? We're gonna order food right now. We're gonna we're pre-gaming it before the diamondbacks game. Let's go for it. Go strong or go home. YOLO.

Adam 11:47

Is that your second YOLO tonight? It sure is. It sure is. You got a problem with it? Nope. But those were great IPAs. So, like when we were with friends and they had another one. Um, two. I mean, there's the uh La Ciudad, which is their flagship uh hazy IPA, and there was another one. It was called mouth breathers, and I know that you wanted to get that one, but you weren't able to. But our our friend got it, and uh, she ended up drinking that too. And I think you got a taste of that one, right?

Dedra 12:14

Yes, and uh, she actually said that she liked mine, the Death 2 IPA, better than the mouth breather. And after I took that small sip, I have to agree, it it was good, but it wasn't as good as my hazy double IPA.

Adam 12:28

Yeah, and I had yours too, and it was really good. So I drank more of mine. We've each tried our our our beers, and I felt like yours was the more juicy flavored, had like a lot more of that sweetness in the background, and mine had more of the hoppy flavor to it, which is is um you get that sometimes in some of the hazy's, but it's usually not as strong. And with the the dry hop, a lot of times you get those flavoring hops, those for that floral kind of flavor to it. And I thought yours was like a lot more of that juicy flavor, and I know that's that's a style that you that you prefer.

Dedra 13:02

I do, I do, and I'm still stuck on that hazy from Lake Pleasant. Oh I like I said, I after I gave it that rating, I that that now has like set the standard. So now I'm trying to think of like when I go out, okay, what hazy rivals the one from Lake Pleasant? And let me tell you, sorry, Arizona Wilderness, your hazy, your death to IPA did not rival the hazy from Lake Pleasant. However, yes, citridelic.

Adam 13:36

Citridelic haze, yeah.

Dedra 13:37

However, and this is on this is on us, is and we apologize. The the brewery that we're at.

Adam 13:43

Oh, Smeltertown.

Dedra 13:44

Yes, the brewery for Smeltertown, that that festival, I we failed to mention in the last episode. Uh is we we dropped the ball tremendously on that one. And we just gonna say a formal apology to Lake Pleasant um because there was a competition for people's choice on beer. Yes. And Lake Pleasant rightfully took that award. They took the belt. It was cool. Um and congratul congratulations. Well, well deserved. Well deserved. And like I said, if had I went to your guys' tent, your beer tent ahead of time and didn't wait towards like the end ocean, it I don't know why I took so long to get there, but I I did, and that's my fault. Um, but had I been there sooner, you know what? I probably wouldn't have even made it the rest of the evening.

I probably would have cleaned Lake Pleasant out on their hazy and I would have been I would have been done. Yeah. So so maybe it was that I guess that I came across Lake Pleasant at the end. So happy accident.

Adam 14:53

But those are a thing. It was really cool the way they did that. So at each tent uh at that brewer festival, they had a little QR code where you can scan it and uh each one had it, and you can choose your favorite brewery, I guess, at that uh festival. Is that what they were doing? And at the end, they did like a little ceremony, and the they got like almost like a wrestling belt that they presented to uh whoever won that particular um award. It was a people's choice award at that brew festival. And uh yeah, it was a really cool concept and well deserved. I mean, the Lake Pleasant did a great job. Uh they always do a great job. I love their brewery, it's wonderful. We'll talk about it as a featured brewery uh in the in the coming months, I'm gonna say, because we got a lot of great stuff lined up for you already. Yes, but um, Arizona Wilderness also had something else and something that I've never seen before. So we've been to the brewery. We've been to a brewery before, no, in Phoenix. It's getting hard to find ones that we haven't been to, I'll be honest. They had this program there called the Co-op, which is their membership, and they do exclusive beers or or releases for them. And I think some of the co-op members actually get to chime in and say what they what they want in some of these beers, and they have a barrel age program that is part of this co-op. And I they said ask ask the server. So of course, what do I do?

Dedra 16:17

Ask or ask. Ask. Oh, okay. I was like, I don't think our server wants to be asked.

Adam 16:24

No, they said ask your server. And so I I had to I had to ask them. Of course, I go up there and I'm like, okay, ask. I'm like, what is uh what is that whole co-op thing? And they're like, oh, it's our our specialty beers that we have released for our members. And and I'm like, okay, well, can I have it? And they're like, yeah. And they're like, which one do you want? We got like, you know, this and that, and they they they're explaining it on the menu. I'm like, okay, yeah, I'll have all of them.

Dedra 16:51

And oh god beers. For me, that was too much. That was too much all at once. So I'm glad that was you that had it and not me. I was perfectly fine with my hazy. Yes. Um or my hazy's, but that was that was too much. But I do appreciate that they have a program like that.

Adam 17:10

Yeah. I never knew, and I'm I I have to try it. I mean, it's I think it's my responsibility as a citizen to try all these beers. I don't know. I know that there's a better way to say that, and I have it, and I'm gonna forget what whatever. I had to try all these beers.

Dedra 17:25

It was your due diligence?

Adam 17:28

Yeah, my due diligence.

Dedra 17:29

It's my chili's heel.

Adam 17:31

Okay, yeah, name it what you will. So four barrel-aged beers, and I think I did them in I I did two sours, and there was a barley wine, and they called it a stout, but I'm gonna call it an Imperial Porter. So your favorite was the barley wine, believe it or not, which was a vanilla barley wine, so you don't see that very often. But I'm gonna talk about two of these beers. I know you didn't really like them as much, but I'm gonna talk about two of them first before we get into that barley wine. It was called the Azure Dome, and it was a 8% sour, and I believe it was like a 50% mix of two different sours that they combined together. And I think one was aged in rum barrels and the other one was aged in bourbon barrels, and they did a mixture between the two and created created this sour. And it's I know it's not the sours that you typically like, it's gonna be like the lighter ones.

Dedra 18:30

The ones it's not a sour that I like at all. Yeah, not the smoothie styles. I yeah, on the smoothie sour. I with the lighter, runnier sours, that's just not my thing.

Adam 18:41

And but this one was it was it was great for sour. It had a little bit more of the funk to it, a little bit more of the tartness.

Dedra 18:46

It wasn't good at all.

Adam 18:48

It was great. I really enjoyed drinking that one. That was one of the tasters, and the other one was a farmhouse ale or Saison, and that one was called Waterfall Tones, and that was a nine.

Dedra 19:01

Not good.

Adam 19:04

It was a nine point five percent uh farmhouse ale, Saison that was uh barrel aged in rum barrels again. Oh, it was so fun to drink.

Dedra 19:15

Well, yeah, at nine point five percent, of course it's gonna be fun to drink. Oh, yeah. I mean, you you at nine point five percent, how else are you gonna get through the cup?

Adam 19:25

It was aged in rum barrels. It was like a tiki cocktail rendition of that, a beer, a Saison to kind of match that those flavors. So, I mean, it was fun. I mean, I mean, how could if you see that on the menu, how could you not get it? I don't know. I thought it was interesting.

Dedra 19:42

I could tell you.

Adam 19:46

But okay, let's go to that barley wine then, because you had that, and it was a light, lighter barley wine, because a lot of the barley wines are almost like that stout kind of finish. Right. This one was a lot lighter, right?

Dedra 19:57

That and I was surprised, and I was surprised by that. But I think again, like I'm just my my palate is developing and I'm coming around to a lot more beers. And you guys get to be a part of this actually, this experience where I'm like starting to kind of change. And actually, today earlier, we were at um Saddle Mountain, so shout out to Saddle Mountain. Uh I we we started off with their hoppier and snobier. Yeah, and that was delicious, very flavorful, great beer. But it's also at a 9.1, I think 9.2%. So it was a bit bit heavy to start out with for me, especially. So had that one, finished a glass, no problem. Probably a little too fast. So the second one was like, I'm gonna go, I'm gonna go light. I'm gonna go light on the next one. So I was like, you know what? I haven't had a uh a wheat beer in actually probably a couple years. So I was like, I'm gonna give it a shot. I'm gonna see if wheat beers are still my thing. No, they are not my thing. They are definitely not my thing. I took a couple sips and I was just like, oh, whoo, nope. Not doing it. A little sour, a little, a little on the not so my palate taste anymore. And the gentleman that was behind the counter, um, that was our bartender, I had told him, you know, like, hey, I'm sorry, you know, like I I didn't have very much of it and I felt bad because I don't ever want to waste beer. But because I ordered it, I told him I was like, hey, I will gladly pay for this beer, but you know what? I'm sorry. I am just not a wheat beer drinker anymore. I really thought I was, so can I just get the hop snob instead?

Adam 21:48

Which is a west coast. Yeah.

Dedra 21:50

And he he gladly was just like, Yeah, yeah, sure, no problem. Um so I once I got that hop snob, I was like, That's what you want. Now we're talking. Now we are cooking with fire.

Adam 22:04

But I don't think it's like that on all wheat beers, because some of them I'm sure you could probably enjoy still. There's like the wine Stefaner, that one is classic. I mean, that one is such a good beer.

Dedra 22:14

Okay, but I like I said, I haven't had a wheat beer in in some time. It's been at least a couple years. So I just kind of fell off of it, just really dove into the hazy's. And then lately, the stouts.

Adam 22:29

Yeah. Yeah.

Dedra 22:31

And which is not me.

Adam 22:34

I ended up getting a stout as the fourth taster for those uh those barrel age ones that I got. And that was called the Illuminate and Foreshown. I think so. For showed? I can't remember. It was something weird like that. Which was an Imperial Porter. And I'm gonna call it a porter.

Dedra 22:50

You you get so many beers in, and you you forget, you you kind of mess up on reading the menu or your memory gets a little tricky. Yeah.

Adam 22:59

I mean, I I I was like trying to read it, and I'm like, okay. I mean, I had like one beer, and I'm like, I still can't read this. But it was a barrel-aged porter, and it had vanilla, toasted coconut, and pistachios, and was really smooth. It didn't have like that that sweetness like a lot of barrel-aged has. Maybe it wasn't barrel-aged for very long, or as long as some of the other ones that we've had, which in my opinion is not a bad bad thing to have stuff barrel-aged for a long time because you get, I think, an amazing flavor with it. But this one was extremely smooth, and maybe because it was a porter rather than a stout, it was it was kind of mild in flavor, and the vanilla kind of toned it down. And it was similar to that, to that uh barley wine you got, because that was a vanilla, I think there was a vanilla barley wine, and it was aged in rum barrels, so it had like a completely different flavor profile that you'd get with regular bar uh barrel aged stuff.

Dedra 23:57

Which, I mean, this is all all new to me. Like stouts, barrel aged stouts, all new meads, like that's completely not in my alley, not in my repertoire, nothing. Like that's that's all supposed to be this guy.

Adam 24:16

Yeah. But I have I appreciate you trying.

Dedra 24:20

You're starting to fail me on this.

Adam 24:22

But that was like all those beers. I was like, I did not expect to get that in a in in that place, and I really enjoyed it. And we got some food there too. I mean, their foods stand up. I mean, we had burgers from there before that were great. Yes, and uh you're about to say something. They're fries, they're fry, yes. Of course, you are talking about the French fries.

Dedra 24:44

So they always talk about oh, they have these duck fat fries and blah blah blah. And I was like, whatever, big deal. And I was just like, damn it, it is a big deal.

Adam 24:56

Bad fries are never good. I mean, that that kind of ruins it, doesn't it?

Dedra 24:59

Yes, but how do you do fries wrong?

Adam 25:02

Oh, you know how you get those like light-colored, like soggy ones and that are just like not crispy. I mean, you can do them wrong, and maybe don't salt them well enough, so you're just eating like mashed potatoes in a stick. I don't know. Oh, yeah. Not to say mashed potatoes are bad.

Dedra 25:18

But when you want fries and you get like whatever those pale sticks are, it's like toothpicks.

Adam 25:26

Yeah. And then the I mean, a lot of people like those shoestring fries. I'm not the fan of them because I like potatoy fries.

Dedra 25:34

Me neither. I can't get down with shoestring fries because then I need to have like four or five sticks at a time in order for it to equal like a regular French fry. And then I just feel like a fat ass. Yeah, because then you're like fisting, like you know, the fries. And then I feel even worse.

Adam 25:52

So I'm just like Yeah, and you're just like take a handful and just cramming it in your face.

Dedra 25:58

And then I got the burger in the other hand, and it's just like I'm pretty sure at that point I've got ketchup on my face. I'm out in public, more than likely with you and the kids. So then I'm just like bringing shame and embarrassment because of the way I'm eating those darn shoestring fries. I know. Like those, there's nothing good that can become or come from those things.

Adam 26:21

No, but they didn't have those type of fries over at Eriminal Wilderness. Yeah. No, they were good fries. But we got a sandwich this time. It was a wicked chicken, I think was what it was called, right?

Dedra 26:33

Ooh, yes. Yeah. That had like I I think was just one bite that I had that had uh a good chunk of chili in it. But it also got like under the back side of my tongue. So like on the back side of my mouth between my tongue and my gum, it got right underneath there. And I was just like, like I my brain was on fire just because like it's a sensitive place. I was like, first of all, what is it even doing there? Like, I don't know what I did for that to get there, but I I'll take responsibility on that one. That was my fault. I don't know how that piece of chili like that big of a piece of chili got under my tongue, back over my wisdom teeth goes. That makes no sense. No, so I'm gonna take responsibility on that one. So don't even worry about that Arizona wilderness. That was on me. That was on me.

And that didn't happen to me. I I thought it actually could have used more jalapeno in there because it did have jalapeno. I think it was chicken, it was on sourdough bread, had uh bacon on there, and uh other stuff. I can't even remember anymore. But it was a good, I mean, great sandwich.

It went down fast.

Yes, and it went down fast. It was like it was chicken breast. I think it was a chicken cutlet, probably, and it it was the the chicken was a little bit thin, and in my opinion, after eating so many like chicken thighs that are just have so much flavor and moistness to it, and having this little skinny chicken breast sandwich, the chicken was flavored great, but in my opinion, a little dry for for my liking. I like I like dark meat. I liked having that that thigh meat uh sandwich.

It was a great I mean it honestly, I mean, other than the chicken being a little bit dry, and that was because it was a little skinny piece of chicken breast. Other than that, it was actually a great sandwich. And the bacon was great. I mean, the the whole thing had a what was it, pub sauce or something like that on it. And it was very flavorful, very flavorful.

I thought it could have used more jalapeno though, because I mean, I love jalapeno, so but I mean that just goes to say not everybody is able to handle that kind of heat tolerance. But again, yes, the sandwich overall was actually at a 10. I would probably give it like a seven. Um, the fries, I'd probably give that about an eight. You did like those fries. Those fries were were pretty good.

And they did hit make their own ketchup, which I'm not usually a fan of. And this one, I mean, maybe you just get used to like the Heinz and the uh, you know, the regular ketchup. Yeah. So when they make it made it fresh to me, I felt like they had a little bit too much sugar inside there. I don't know if you you saw you've tasted that too with the with the ketchup.

Yes, and I don't know if it was the sugar, the amount of sugar that they put in there, but the ketchup was a bit sweet for me or for us. Um, so I don't know. There was there was uh an ingredient in their homemade ketchup that was just a little too sweet. Yes, but a little too sweet. If they could dial it back, just a scoosh.

A scoosh? I'm gonna look that up in the dictionary. I'm not even sure what that means. I said what I said, but the ketchup was a little bit sweet in my opinion, and but I mean, to make your own ketchup, I mean that's that's going above and beyond.

That is pretty cool. Yeah.

That's an apron and and they do a lot of scratch-made stuff there completely. I mean, there was a lot of things. I was looking at the menu. There was there was probably a I don't know, six or seven things that I'm like, I could have either any of these things and I'll be happy. But we we went for the sandwich. That was the thing that we felt like we could walk around still without feeling like hurting, you know, from being too full. So it was a good choice, I think, and uh really good sandwich. And just being in that place, I mean, they have inside, they have like uh picnic benches inside, they have like high top tables, they have a a really long bar with uh plenty, I mean, plenty of choices. I mean, they have tons of things, right?

And it doesn't have to be a lot of people. Seating is outstanding. Yeah, the seating it will accommodate everybody. We had a we sat at a round high top table for four, which was right under the fan, so that was heaven. And then they have like other tables that seat probably eight, eight to ten, and then outside, outside is ridiculous. Like outside is huge. Like outside is way bigger than the indoor portion. And one thing I do really gotta, you know, put out there is that for Arizona wilderness to really um acknowledge like the homeless in downtown is they they give them water. It's Phoenix, it's hot, it's always gonna be between what is it, like June and September. It's always gonna be 110 minimum. But they will not turn them down and they give them cups of water and they take care of them. So I really do appreciate that because that goes a long way. That says a lot about what you know, Arizona wilderness is.

Um, right before you walk in. And and it's kind of like you enter, and to the left is like their whole outdoor area, and to the right, you can go inside their building, and that's where they're um that's where we sat.

I think outside definitely is like double the inside seating space.

And it's like to have the bar out there too. So if you're sitting outside, you don't have to go all the way inside to get your drinks or to get your food or anything like that. It they have another um area where you can order, and I mean that's that's excellent. I mean, I I mean the place is just amazing. The downtown Phoenix location. Um, I mean, they made it for downtown Phoenix, really is what they did. And we've been to the one in uh Gilbert also, and that one was much smaller. I mean, that's where they have all their tanks where they're brewing and stuff, but and they they did have an outside area there too, if you remember. I don't know, it's been a lot of years since we've been.

Eight to ten years. And yeah, of course I do, because I remember we went camping up north and we were there for the weekend, a three-day weekend. And I remember coming back into town and just being like, Whoo, I know we stink. Okay, let's go to Arizona Wilderness because if anybody is going to accept us, it's gonna be Arizona Wilderness. We literally just came from the Arizona wilderness.

Adam 33:26

We smell like wood wood smoke and fishing and like we we roughed it.

Yeah, we just went tent camping, we uh went fishing. That was part that was one of our dinners one of the nights. Yeah, um, so we legit went like camping camping.

Arizona wilderness, they let us sit in the patio. I mean, we they wouldn't let us inside.

They took us in, yeah.

But their downtown Phoenix location is made for downtown, it's right in Roosevelt area, and that that's I mean, it's it's an amazing location. We love going there. Um, been going there for for years, and you know, we'll continue to go. But you know what? Our beers are telling us something.
