Good friends, draw near and lend thine ear but for a little while. For in these hurried days of clamor and noise, there yet remains a quiet corner, a place where scripture and the curling smoke of a well packed pipe do meet as old companions. Welcome to the Parson Piper Podcast. Here we shall walk together down ancient paths, through fields of holy writ where mustard seeds grow into kingdoms and prodigals find their road home again. We shall sit awhile with prophets and fishermen, with kings and shepherds, hearing their tales not as distant echoes, but as living truths for the weary soul, and mark this well we shall not only tell the stories, but trace the footsteps of Christ's church through time, from her first breath in the days of the apostles, through seasons of wandering and reform, unto the call for restoration, a returning simple and pure, to the ancient way once delivered. Yet what is a good tale without a good pipe in hand? Along our journey we shall speak also of leaf and flame, of rich virginias and stout burlies, of blends both bold and gentle. We shall visit in word and remembrance the humble tobacconists, those keepers of craft and counsel, where jars line the walls like books of quiet wisdom, and every blend hath a story of its own. And know this as well, good friend, we shall meet together each week on Friday mornings to share in this quiet fellowship. So whether thou art a seasoned traveller of scripture, or but newly set upon the road, whether thy pipe be well worn or yet unlit, there is a seat here for everyone. Come take a rest from the noise, come hear the old stories told anew. Come and let thy soul be stirred, as truth is spoken plain, and the smoke rises slow.
