Welcome to Inside a Perfect Paint Job with Jeff Atkins. Thank you for joining us, and let's just get started today. I want to talk about things that you should do as a homeowner to get ready before painters show up. Whether it's us or anybody, these are all good things, and it just kind of gives you a little bit better peace of mind knowing that these things are up and away and moved out of the area that's going to be worked in or whatnot. But, you know, some of those things interior-wise, um clear the walls of small items, pictures, mirrors, curtains, decorations, anything that you can take off, take off. Anything that you can't, leave to us. Uh we'll be glad to move it and take it off for you, or we'll paint around it one or the other. Um my guys are good at doing all three, and we adapt depending on what the circumstances are. Um anything fragile, anything really expensive, anything priceless as far as uh memories or whatever, we do ask you to take care of and put up so that it doesn't get broke. Um what we move, um there is always a chance. Um there's a chance when you move it. So you know what I mean, and we don't want to be the ones break it if we can keep from it. So it's just better if you move those things from the walls and from the cabinets and counters and things of that nature. Um it just helps. Um another thing on the interior side or exterior side, but you really need to have your pay uh colors picked, excuse me, before we show up. Because when we show up, we have the paint and we're ready to do your job. Um we're not waiting around to find this and that and then going to the paint store and this and that. Um we don't want to be in your house no longer than you want us in your house. And it's not that we don't want to be there, but we know you don't want us there. You're really uh sacrificing a lot bringing us into your home and letting us paint it. So with that being said, I want to make sure that we do this job as quick as we can, as efficiently as we can, and as good as we can. That way you have a perfect paint job. Um but uh next on the list uh would be know the areas that's getting painted. Um you know most of the time, the one thing you might not know is we're painting the whole house, and we do have a method to our Magnus, and we like to start here and go there. But um we can adapt, like I said before. Um if we don't adapt, we're not going to have customers very long, and we know that. And the adapting part is the easy part. We want to make this as easy as possible for you and um headache free, stress-free, uh, anything of the nature. Um let's talk for a minute about the exterior of your home because there's um still things that you should do. Um because there's just things that we don't know about. Um garden hoses. We like um to unhook all this stuff, we like um all your furniture pulled away. Um and like I said, we're not asking you to do all this stuff. These are just things that that need to be done. And um if you want it to go a little faster and help out a little bit so that we're not there as long, these are things that you can do that help. Um and it's just simply like if we're coming to seal your patio, um, we have to come pressure wash it first, and then we have to come back and seal it most generally. We don't do it in the same day just because of the water. Um, the heat of the summer we can, but we just try not to. Um then um while we're waiting for it to dry, we ask everybody to leave it alone and not use it because we've got it clean. Um, and then we'll come in and seal it, and then we do come back and put everything back on your patio for you. So, you know, that's just an added plus and something that we do to try to make um our job easier on you, and just just one of those things that we try to do to help. So um, what else on the exterior? Again, picking colors is a very important thing. You got to have this done, and and we have this done before we ever come pressure washed for the exterior. So this is a process and a procedure that Jeff Adkins painting has in place that takes care of all this, and 90%, 95% go wonderful, and every now and then we have a little mix-up. Um, we had one today. Um, customer said, This is what I want. I've got a can of it. I took a picture of it. Um, we show up after the proposal was accepted to do the job. I bought the material, and the material that we took a picture of was not the material that can be used on the deck. It's not right. It wasn't ever used on that deck. Um, it's just something that got confused. But, you know, the only thing we can do is fix it. But problems do arise on colors, and this is one of the reasons why we try to get all this in place um well before we show up. Um, that way when we do show up, we're not wasting labor by standing around waiting on more materials to show up. Um let's see. Um let's switch back to the interior part. Um the um cleanup afterwards, um, we do all that for you. Um we don't want to leave your house a mess after we've completely repainted it for you and you can enjoy it. Um on all complete repaints. Um, we have a professional cleaning company that we hire to come in and do all of the cleaning uh after us. Um we try our best to do a really good job cleaning up to begin with, and then we do hire the company to come in and put the finishing touches on it and just make it immaculate for you because that's what we want our paint job to represent. Um well, I think that's about all for today. I know this is a short one. I hate him hauling around with you, but I'm gonna call it quits now, and I want to thank everybody for joining. I'm gonna ask you all to please like, share, and follow us. Um we are live on Apple now, Spotify, so and Spotify, excuse me. So um there's multiple ways to find us and get a get this podcast. But please share this to your friends, like it and follow us. If you have any questions, please email Jeff at Jeff Adkinspainting.com. And I'll see you next week. Thank you all very much.
