All right, so Lord, we just thank you so much that you are faithful to those who call on the name of Jesus of Nazareth. We thank you, Lord, that you are good to all those that call on your name. Thank you, Lord, that you do not count our sins against us any longer because Jesus, who knew no sin, became sin for us, that through him we might become the righteousness of God. We thank you for your precious blood, King Jesus. We honor you today. Thank you that you went through the the uh the the crucifixion. Lord, thank you for all the beating you took, the crown thorns you took. We thank you for all the blood you shed for us as the Messiah. We thank you that you died and you rose from the dead by the power of the Holy Spirit on the third day. Jesus is Lord. We confess, Jesus is Lord, and we ask, Lord, that your word would come to pass today, where your name is lifted, signs and wonders shall follow. As the gospel is preached, signs and wonders shall follow. I pray for those coming into the broadcast that they would feel your presence, the presence of the Spirit of Almighty God, and that they would receive from your presence, that they would receive from your word, that they would have breakthrough in their mind, that the strongholds that have maybe tormented them or been lying to them would be broken today, and that they would experience freedom from sinful life uh behaviors, that they would receive freedom from disease, sickness, demons, freedom from poverty, lack, all that stuff through the knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ. So the first thing is that remember, I want you when you read the Bible, so this is what happens, guys, is that people take things out of context. They take things out of context, okay? Praise God. Oh, hey, Michael Leal, good to see you, brother. Good to see you over there in Texas. Okay, so uh it's uh remember, people take things out of context and they twist the scriptures uh to fit a narrative or to fit their uh their doctrines, okay, that they've created in their own brain. A lot of people do this. I was guilty of it in the past. I try not to do it anymore. So I have really tried to learn from the Holy Spirit to read in context and to read the you know the flavor of what's really going on. So, 1 Timothy, let's go there. It's the first epistle of Paul the Apostle to Timothy. So this was an apostle writing to a pastor of a church, right? Pretty, pretty much. Timothy was a pastor, evangelist, all that stuff, okay? So um, let's just start off and then I'll just keep going and we'll see where the Lord takes us. I might skip over some parts for time's sake. Hey, hey Amber, good to see you on uh YouTube. Thanks for joining. So we're on first Timothy, guys, okay? So Paul, an apostle of Jesus Christ by the commandment of God our Savior, and the Lord Jesus Christ, our hope. So Apostle Paul was an apostle. Why? Through the commandment of God Almighty. To Timothy, a true son in the face. So Timothy's like his son, a spiritual son. Grace, mercy, and peace. Okay? Grace, mercy, and peace. So get that in your brain. So Apostle Paul, imagine he's speaking to you right now as a as a preacher or as an evangelist or whatever, right? He's speaking to us. Grace, mercy, and peace. So the Holy Spirit through Paul is saying, Grace, mercy, and peace. So take that today. Okay, if you're gonna take anything from this, take grace, mercy, and peace from God the Father, our Father, and Jesus Christ our Lord. All right, and then he talks about uh I urge you when I went into Macedonia, remain in Ephesus that you may charge some that they teach no other doctrine. Okay, so I, you know, you have to remember doctrine's important, the doctrine of Christ, the doctrine of faith. Okay? Remember, it's faith that saves a person. By grace through faith you're saved, and not by works. Okay, so charge them so they don't teach any other doctrine. So he's telling this pastor, hey, charge these people, tell them, rebuke them that they're not to preach any other doctrine, nor give heed to fables. Okay, so stories, people telling stories, fables, and endless genealogies. So people trying to do all this genealogy stuff and figure out all this stuff with their what? Their carnal mind, which cause what? Disputes. So when you see disputes on social media, you see people disputing, Christians disputing. Let me ask you a question. Is that something the Bible says we're supposed to do? Disputes. No, guys, you're not supposed to be disputing. Uh rather than what? Which caused divisions, rather than what? Godly edification. So godliness, right? Godly, good, holy edification, encouragement, guys. Which is what in faith. So you do godly encouragement in faith. Now the purpose of the commandment, okay, the purpose of the commandment is what love. So the commandment is love. Remember, the royal law of liberty is the law of love or the commandment of love, faith from a pure heart. Okay? The purpose of the commandment to believe on Jesus is love from a pure heart. So a lot of us get down side side quest, I call them, right? It's the end of the commandment is love, guys. The purpose of this whole commandment, love your neighbor as yourself. Believe in Jesus is what? To be transformed to be like God, who is what? Love, guys. Love. I know this, you know, a lot of people think this is like, oh, this is basic stuff, but do you guys, I don't really meet a lot of Christians that know how to love anybody. They're always fighting with people, disputing, arguing with their family, all sorts of stuff. Love your neighbors yourself. That's what you're supposed to be doing. You're supposed to be going to work and you're supposed to actually be loving these people that maybe you don't like personally in their personalities. It's okay not to like somebody's personality because most people's personalities are all jacked up because of trauma, wrong belief systems, mindsets, demons, whatever, right? So a lot of people are really messed up, guys. But you can love them as a human being, right? We can love them as a person, somebody that's made in the image of God. Okay? All right, so the the now the purpose of the commandment is love from a pure heart. So this whole thing is summed up in what? Love your neighbors yourself. Love from a pure heart, from a good conscience. Okay, so your conscience, your heart, where you right and wrong, in your heart, okay, your brain will always tell you that you're sinning. Your brain will always torment you if you allow it to, if you listen to it. It will always tell you, black, white, this is good, this is evil. It will always do that. It's your heart, guys, your conscience. If your heart, your conscience is right with God, then you know if you ask him anything according to his will, you receive it. So your conscience is here. I had to learn this, guys. So I used to think my conscience was my brain. And most people do. We think our brain is our conscience, but it's like it's in your spirit, in your heart. Okay? And your conscience, your brain is programmed by the law of sin and death, programmed by the knowledge of good and evil. So it's always gonna uh be used against you. The enemy's always gonna try to use it against you, okay? And so he's gonna he's gonna try to get you like OCD about good and evil. OCD about little things. OCD. Right? Uh like compulsive about like little things here and there, right? The Pharisees did the same thing. What did they do? They were straining at a gnat. Jesus said they were straining at a gnat, but swallowing a camel. So people who are living here, they're basically, oh, that's sin, that's sin, that's bad. But then you find out they're doing a bunch of stuff. You're like, what in the world? They're telling me I I couldn't watch this PG movie or whatever, right? But I find out they're committing adultery on their spouse. You know what I mean? That's what the Pharisees were doing, basically. In, you know, in you know, in, you know, I don't know if that's exactly what they're doing, but you know what I'm saying. Okay. So it's straining at a gnat. So your mind will always try to get you to strain at a net. That's why you need the mind of Christ and see things through the lens of love. Okay, for example, another example. I remember going to a church, uh, we were doing a service there. Uh uh, somebody I was with was preaching, I was helping out years ago, and uh, a young lady walked in with, you know, the uh the real short short, she was dressed not for church, right? And I remember my mind, my carnal mind went into judging that person. Judging this young lady walking in like uh, you know, she was going to a nightclub or something, okay? So I was judging her in my head. Okay, the carnal mind was judging her according to what the law of sin and death, the knowledge of good and evil from the knowledge of the tree of good and evil, right? Okay, so I start judging this person in my brain, and God showed me something that day that He sees what we see outward appearance, but God sees the heart. That person got touched by the Holy Spirit, was one of the only people I could touch by the Holy Ghost in the whole church, got delivered from demons, got healed of all sorts of stuff. And here I was being a Pharisee in my head. So you gotta watch that, right, guys? So the commandment is the purpose of the commandment is love from a pure heart, from a good conscience. You keep your heart right with God, and uh and from sincere faith. Okay, from sincere faith, from being sincere about your faith in Jesus Christ. Uh, from which some having strayed, so there's people that stray, they hear the gospel, they stray from the commandment to believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, love your neighbors yourself. And what do they do? They stray, having, just like I talked about, having turned aside to idle talk, or they're just just yapping about whatever it is, making up stuff. Desiring to be what? Teachers of the law. They want to be teachers of the law of Moses. You gotta watch that, guys. People become teachers of the law of Moses, understanding neither what they say nor the things which they affirm. So they're they're teaching the law and they're not understanding. Like if I go on social media right now, I flip through, I can find people teaching about righteousness by the law. And you will find that those people have no clue what the law was actually supposed to be for. They they think it's for righteousness as us, but that's not the end of the law, is Christ, right? And so the law was to bring us to Christ, and then it goes on. But we know that the law is good if one uses it lawfully. So you'll see that in churches, you'll see that with Christians. They will stray from the commandment, which is simplicity of the gospel, which is love God, love your neighbor, believe on Jesus, be born again, and they'll start trying to teach you a bunch of stuff from the law and to get you under the law. Okay, and uh it basically goes on knowing this that the law is not made for a righteous person. Okay, we are righteous in Christ. So the law is not made for a righteous person, it's made for what? The lawless and insubordinate for the ungodly and for sinners, us before Christ. Okay, so the law is to be placed before sinners, is to show people that they can never attain righteousness on their own. Remember, if you break one law, you break them all. You're convicted as a lawbreaker. Okay, so the law is there to what? To convict people of sin, to get them to give up and come to the knowledge of Jesus Christ. That's what it's there for, guys. It's there to appoint you what it's a tutor to teach us love, to get us to a place. See, the law is good and holy and just, but we can't fulfill that in ourselves. Jesus had to come for us and fulfill it. Okay, so there's nothing wrong with the law when you use it lawfully. It's to show you how sinful you actually are as a human to get you to a place of being born again and having a spirit and then walking in the commandment of love. See, you have to understand all that so that you can be free from self-righteousness, which leads you to torment. People that are self-righteous are usually tormented, angry, frustrated, uh, always uh condemning others, judgmental, argumentative, gossiping, all the stuff the works of the flesh are self-evident, adultery, fornication, drunkenness, all the stuff your flesh starts manifesting to get you to find grace. So your flesh manifests and you hate it. Romans 7, right? Who's gonna deliver me from the body of this death? I thank God through Christ Jesus, my Lord. So what? I'm walking down the road, there's all these motorcycles going around, and this guy wanted to hurt himself. Okay, and I led him to Christ. I sat on the street in Southeast Asia. I mean, this is the uh the unbelievable uh way that we can, as the body of Christ, with technology lead people to Jesus anywhere in the world through the internet. So it's a VIOP, which basically is a virtual internet protocol phone. So it's like uh, you know, it goes through the internet. So I get this call on the app, I'm like, oh I'll answer it. So I answered it. And this person was wanting to hurt themselves, and I led them to Jesus, had a lot of questions, was really hurt going through stuff. And I sat on the street and there was like honking in the background and everything, and I apologized today. Sorry, I'm in Southeast Asia right now, blah blah blah. And he got touched by the Holy Ghost and made a confession of faith and thanked me. And I and I got an email, I think it was an email or a phone call again or whatever, but they they thanked me for taking the time to talk with them and stuff, and they couldn't believe I was talking to them over there and all that stuff. So, like, I I could take it on the road, all that stuff. So, anyway, so with the internet and everything, we can really uh we can really go for. And win a lot of souls for Jesus. I also have an idea of doing outreach in North Korea, but that's a whole nother thing I'll talk about later. But I kind of have like a little thing with that, talking to my friend about the other day. And uh God's just really good, guys. God's just really good. All right. So uh here we go. So there's all sorts of stuff. I mean, you're gonna just sit in a yacht as a Christian, just sit in a yacht and drink wine the rest of your life, or you're gonna you you're gonna sow, you're gonna give, and you're gonna see the gospel move forward, right? So just don't sit and uh just don't sit, be active, right? Be active in your faith, you know. Believe that God's gonna use you powerfully, even if you're just working a uh, you know, you feel like you're just working a full-time job right now. God can use you powerfully through this ministry, maybe through another minister that you know, or or you know, people do crusades in Africa or something. So uh God can uh really bless uh bless people through you and win souls through you, even when you're just going to your nine to five and feeling like, oh, this is what I got right now, right? You'd be a stay-at-home mom. You'd be winning souls in Africa with your donations to some minister or ministry, right? Just make sure you're led by the Lord, right? You always want to give out of uh uh uh a love, out of love and not out of obligation. So you're not obligated to support the ministry. I'll still minister to you. But that's what my uh is on my heart is 10 new monthly supporters a month. So I'll talk about it and I'll encourage you to partner with the ministry. You can do that at the fathersfriends.org. Thank you so much. Love you. All right, so let's move on. So he was talking about how uh the law is uh designed for the ungodly, which we were before Christ. Now it goes on. Uh verse 12. And I think Christ Jesus, our Lord, who has enabled me because he counted me faithful. So you have to be faithful to be put into ministry. It says because he counted me faithful, Paul speaking through the Holy Spirit, putting me into ministry. Although I was formerly a blasphemer, a persecutor, and an insolent man, but I obtained mercy because I did it in ignorantly in unbelief. And the grace of our Lord was exceedingly abundant with faith and love. See, it's all about faith and love. Faith and love, okay? Faith and love which are in Christ Jesus. So you might have had a really bad past. Maybe you have a bad past from uh you know last, you know, last year, you know, bad past. Okay, well, God can give you grace and mercy, and you can be become a minister if that's what you want to do, but you have to be called, guys. You have to be called and found faithful. So if you're working at the local gas station, you have to be found faithful in your local gas station to become uh uh, let's say, uh a missionary. Let's say your dream is to be a missionary in Africa or Australia, and you're working at a gas station, you have to be found faithful in the little. I had to be found faithful working in the behavior health field for seven years, over seven years exactly. When I left, I checked my HR records. It was seven years, seven months and seven days, which is incredible. God's good. But you have to be found faithful. So be found faithful. Hi there, uh good to see you, uh, Jim. Jim Starr, hey, good to see you. Cheers. All right, so uh that's James, I think. Hi, James. Got your email and everything. Appreciate you. All right, so uh uh so you have to be found faithful. So if you are, you know, you let's say you're just like working a job, or you, you know, you you don't feel like you, you know, oh Lord, what am I doing? I'm just working this job, I don't really like what am I doing? Be found faithful in it. So just do your job faithfully. If you're in a position with your family right now, let's say you're a student or whatever, and you're just like, oh Lord, I don't know what I'm supposed to be doing right now. I'm just gonna, I just I'm just a student. I just you know, I help out at home or whatever with my my sick mom or dad or whatever. Be found faithful. Okay, amen. Be found faithful in the little, and then God can release you into ministry like he's released me into ministry. Okay. I didn't all of a sudden I'm like, oh, I'm I'm I'm ministering around the world. It was like a training process. So your little area that you're in is a training process, guys. But you look at it as oh, the end of the world. Oh, I'm stuck here. I'm never gonna fulfill what God has for me. I'm never gonna be fulfilled in life, I'm never gonna do what I have dreams. Guys, I've been there, I've felt like that. But remember, just be found faithful. So if you're discouraged, depressed today, or you know, you're going through those big emotions, just remind yourself, Lord, I'm gonna be found faithful in this situation. I'm gonna be found faithful with my finances, I'm gonna be faith, I'm gonna be faithful with my relationship with my family, I'm gonna be faithful with prayer, I'm gonna be faithful going to uh fellowship, I'm gonna be faithful with whatever, right? So your job, all that stuff. So be faithful, and then what he put Paul in ministry, he was found faithful, okay? Uh then what did Paul so Paul is talking about his past. He was uh he was a he was a bad dude, right? And he says, uh, this is a faithful saying and worthy of all acceptance that Jesus that Christ Jesus came into the world to save sinners of whom I am chief. So Paul knew that he was a sinner, right? The law showed him that he was a sinner. Amen. And all the bad stuff he's done in life and all that stuff. He was a sinner. However, for this reason I obtained mercy, that in me first Jesus Christ might show all long suffering as a pattern to those who are going to believe on him for everlasting life. So Jesus saved Paul so that those people who are in prison for horrible crimes, people that have been antichrist, uh Satan worshippers, all those things, that they can look towards a testimony of Paul as the blasphemer who was stoning Christians and trying to throw them in jail and all that stuff. That he could that they could look at his testimony and go, wow, if Jesus Christ could save that chief a sinner, he could save me too. Okay? Amen. Pretty good, huh? God's good. Now the king eternal, immortal, invisible, to God who alone is wise, be honor and glory forever. Amen. Okay. Then he talks about I I uh I charge you, son Timothy, according to the we're in uh first Timothy chapter one, verse 18. Uh, according to the prophecies previously made concerning you, that by them you may wage the good warfare. Okay, so if you get a prophecy, let's say there's a pro prophetic word over your life, you've had a prophecy. I'm not saying, you know, you know, you go to these meetings and people just prophesy over you, and it's maybe you've heard it one time, right? And you're like, okay, that's great. So what you're supposed to do is what? Shelf it. Okay, you shelf those until you get a what a second and third, you you want to get a let every word be established by two or three witnesses. So you somebody just doesn't give you a prophetic word, you're like, that's what I'm gonna have, you know, because you have no other uh what is it called? Um uh witness to it, right? So if they say something to you and then like a year later somebody else says something to you, and it's like the same thing, then you tell you pray about it, and you're like, okay, that's from the Lord. But I've had people tell me, you know, I knew a couple that I was ministering to a couple that went to a prophet, got a word to sell their house and to buy an RV. Seriously, guys, I've seen some wild stuff. I've had people be like wild stuff anyway. I have so many stories, guys. Anyway, the RV, right? So they this prophet tells them, oh, you're supposed to be an evangelist, and you're supposed to sell your house and buy an RV and travel the nation and share the gospel with your wife. So, what did they do? The prophet said a prophetic word and they were unlearned. And so, what did they do? They weren't mature, they sold their house, guys, and bought it, bought an RV, and they started driving around America trying to do evangelism. Guess what happened to them? They went dead broke and they ended up divorced. Okay, so if you get a prophetic word, I don't care if it's from top prophet in America or top prophet in Europe, you you want to make sure that you have a second and third witness to it, either in the word, right? Or from maybe uh a prophetic, another prophetic thing or whatever, but you really want to make sure. And if and if you get that, if you get that second, third witness and you know in your heart it's from the Lord, then that's what you wore with. That's what's gonna encourage your faith. If you've got a word that you're, you know, a good word that you're gonna do this and that, and you know, and it's been uh, you know, uh it's been second, third witness, you know, you want to use, you want to write that down, and then you want to remember what God has said about you and what your future or your destiny or however you call it is gonna happen. And then you remind the Lord, you use that as what? A weapon to encourage you in faith. It's to encourage you. Like I have a prophetic word that I know is from the Lord. I've had two, three, three witnesses to it, and then uh my own in my heart. So I let three or four witnesses. So I know the Lord's gonna do it in my life. I don't know when, but if I start, you know, uh, you know, like sometimes, you know, like let's say you go through, like, okay, Lord, what's gonna happen? I remind the Lord of the prophetic word. I remind what the Lord told me. Hey, Lord, I know that you've told me this. I know it's from you, so thank you. And then I encourage myself. So you encourage yourself with the prophetic word. It's not something that you're like holding a devil, I rebuke you over this word, I rebuke you that word in spiritual warfare, and we're gonna rise up against all this stuff over me and uh in the heavenlies and all this guys. No, it's to it's to encourage you, it's to encourage you your faith. Warfare, encouragement, encourage yourself in faith. That's what it is, it's to break off those lies that you don't have a future, right? So Timothy's a pastor, he's you know, and he he's he's struggling, let's say, being a pastor, he's struggling with the gospel in the church. All of a sudden, Paul says, Hey, remember those prophetic words. You're gonna have, you know, you're gonna travel here, you're gonna start churches here, you know, because he could be down and out, and he's like, Oh, this is I only got 10 people in this church. What's going on here? Those people left me. And then Paul comes in and says, Hey, remember the prophetic words that you got. Do a good warfare with those, use those as warfare. Encourage yourself with these words. Remind yourself what God spoke over your life. It's the same thing with a prophetic word about healing, right? The Bible's prophetic. If the Bible says Jesus healed you 2,000 years ago, speak those words over your life. Lord, I thank you that you healed me 2,000 years ago. I'm holding on to that word. Amen. I'm thankful, Lord, that you heal my body. Praise God. The Holy Spirit lives in my body, gives life to my mortal flesh. Thank you, Lord, that you're healing me. That whatever's going on, you're my deliverer, you're my healer. I'm I'm encouraging myself. See? Instead of, oh, I'm just sick, I'm gonna be always sick, and I gotta go to the hospital and doctors all the time. See, you get down and discouraged. So encourage yourself in faith. Okay, that's how you fight a good warfare. Um, son Timothy, according to the prophecies previously made concerning you, that by them you weigh you may wage uh the good warfare. Having faith, see, then he goes on to encourage him to what? Have faith. Having faith, just what I talked about with the previous verse, and a good conscience. Okay, your heart, your conscience with God, which some having rejected. So they've what? Rejected faith. They've rejected conscience. They've concerning the faith have suffered shipwreck. So who whom are Hymen, I can't even pronounce it, Hymenus and Alexander, whom I delivered to Satan that they may learn not to blaspheme. So these are probably people that Paul knew in a church or whatever, and what were they doing? They were doing blasphemy, they were rejecting faith and blaspheming the Lord. And so Paul somehow kicked them out of church somewhere or whatever. Okay? Make sense? So that's not you. I used to read that and think it was me because oh, I was struggling with uh an addiction or uh um uh you know some habit or something in my flesh. I used to think it was me. Oh my gosh, I have uh my conscience because my brain is telling me, you know, the devil's telling me all the time I'm a sinner, I'm a horrible person. So now I'm feeling like my conscience is is corrupted. Oh my gosh, uh I I've sh am I shipwrecked? Guys, no, it says right here what that is. They rejected what? Faith. They rejected the commandment, right? Before here. The commandment, right? In the other one. The commandment to believe on Jesus Christ, to repent and believe the gospel, to turn towards the Lord. Amen. That's what they rejected. So they're in the church probably blasphemy. They're they're saying blasphemy things.

In our app, we have a button you can push and you can call it 188 No Him. See, you make that confession of faith. You're confessing Jesus as Lord. You're believing with your whole heart that God raised him from the dead. The Bible says you shall be saved. Everyone who calls on the name of the Lord shall be saved. People ask me all the time, well, what can I do? I said, you know what? Just get on your knees by your bed or like in a couch or wherever you're at in your house at night or whatever. Get on your bed and call in the name of Jesus, confess him as Lord and Savior. Ask him for the Holy Spirit, ask him to save you. You know, you might not know how to lead somebody to Jesus. You don't know the perfect sinner's prayer. Sinner's prayer is not even in the Bible, guys, right? The sinner's prayer is not in the Bible, but there's a they took it from the Bible, right? They, you know, you confess Jesus, Lord. So there's a sinner's prayer, right? But it's not written in the Bible, the perfect sinner's prayer, right? Okay, so you might not know a sinner's prayer to give somebody. Just tell them, hey, if I were you, I would just get quiet with God, maybe in your car or something, and I would confess him as Jesus, or you know, confess Jesus as Lord from your mouth and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, and you shall be saved. Seek God. Amen. You know, I sometimes when I travel, uh, you know, like some places, I don't speak the language where I'm at. And let's say somebody's waiting on me or something, and uh start talking through translator. I tell them to watch the Jesus film in their language. Yeah. So if you're in France and maybe you're just there for a trip, maybe, may or maybe you do missions or whatever. You're there, you're talking to somebody, and you know, you know, it's a bad translation or whatever, you're trying to help them. Just YouTube Jesus film in French. There's all sorts of different languages in the Jesus film. So you can even just do that, they can watch a Jesus film, and then the Holy Spirit can work through the Jesus film. See? So the way we the way I do it is let's say there's something in my life that I'm trying to get, you know, I feel like I need freedom from or whatever. Instead of fighting, I used to fight sin, guys. I used to fight sin in my flesh. I used to fight it. Like, I'm not gonna sin today. Guess what happened? I just kept sinning. I kept doing it. I felt like I was in bondage, but the Bible says you're not in bondage anymore. You're a son of God or daughter of God, so you're not in bondage anymore. You feel like you are because it's like a lustful thing. But the power of sin is the law, so that tells me you just don't understand yet. Okay? Amen. Amen. Amen. Hey Brian over on Facebook, appreciate you. Amen. He says, I need Jesus. Amen. See? Okay. You need him. So, like, if you're in a situation and you're trying to do it yourself and it's not working, maybe you just need to surrender that situation to the Lord. I talk to people all the time. Well, I'm I'm doing all I can. Good. I'm glad you're doing all you can. Have you ever thought of surrendering? Like, of course, like um, for example, if you want to lose weight, you can you can pray about losing weight for the rest of your life. Right? But you need God's grace to help you lose weight. You know, Lord, I need to lose weight. I want to I want to lose weight. Lord, have me zap me so I lose weight supernaturally. Well, maybe there's a journey there God wants to take you through to teach you about how to eat healthy so you can live a long life, so you don't die from eating bad food your whole life or whatever, right? So maybe there's a journey there, maybe there's a life lesson. Maybe he's gonna use it, uh, your experience, to teach you or to have you start a whole Christian health thing that helps all these people lose weight. I don't know, right? Write a book, I don't know. But like instead of just uh you know doing it all yourself, Lord, I can't do it on myself. So you pray about it. I surrender this. I surrendered. I can't, I can't do it on my own. You can you can do it on your own to a to apply like like people can quit drinking in AA with their own self with soul power, right? There's people that quit drinking in AA or quit drugs with soul power, but it that type of manif it manifests some other way in their life. Okay, so you can only be free through Christ, truly free. Okay, so you can quit something with your soul power, but it might manifest in a different area, maybe not all the time, but usually it does.

So they might not be an addict with alcohol, but maybe they're an addict with food or cigarettes or vaping or maybe it's something else. They're addicted to adrenaline, so they you know jump out of airplanes all the time. Whatever it is, to be truly free, you need to embrace grace, you need to embrace Jesus Christ and then realize that He does the work to free you. So if you want to lose weight, let's say, I just talked about this because it's my journey, right? So let's say you want to lose weight to feel better, to be more healthy, or just to feel better in general, right? You pray, right? You've prayed about it. Now God will give you the grace to maybe do something about it. But if you just do it on your own, then what happens is that you usually fail. Not all the time, but usually. Okay, and so you want the grace and then you're empowered to go forward. So you want to overcome uh looking at lustful images on the computer, you're just praying about it all the time. Well, you have to embrace the grace that you can't do it on your own, and then God gives you. You the strength to say no to it. Right? So, like, for example, there's bars all around Phoenix. I could walk out down the street and there's a bar. Why don't I just why don't I have this crave and go to the bar anymore? Because I've learned that it's all about grace. That I need Jesus to give me the grace to be free from it. Amen. Amen? Does that make sense? So in when you meet somebody who's struggling with somebody something, they need to come to the end of themselves and thinking they can do it in their own strength. So maybe that's you. Maybe you battle food, maybe you battle drinking, maybe you battle something on the internet. Get to the end of yourself and realize you can't be free from it unless Jesus gives you the grace. And so you all so whenever we look at ourselves, we're always going to fail ultimately. Whenever you look at yourself and your own strength, you're always going to fail ultimately. If you want to be successful, if you want to be successful in life, you surrender. You surrender to Jesus. You surrender to the Holy Ghost. Amen. Amen. Okay? Then he goes on. Therefore, I exhort first of all that supplications, prayers, intercessions, and giving of thanks be made for who, guys? Only the political party we like. Is that what it says? Is that what it says? Therefore, I exhort first of all that supplications, prayers, intercessions, and giving of thanks be made for who? All people, all men. For kings. And all who are in authority. Okay, so this is where we as Christians need to realize that we're supposed to be interceding for even a political party we don't agree with. You're supposed to be praying for those people. But you go online, and a lot of these Christians are cursing these people. But if you go into James, it says a fountain can't be blessing and cursing. See? When you walk in love, you're not cursing people. Okay? So of course, if somebody's doing evil, you can talk about that. You know they're doing evil. You want to pray for them that they wouldn't do that anymore, that they would be saved, that they would repent. Not just sit around and curse and complain about them. Amen. So it can get really toxic, right? Politics gets really toxic. Trust me, I ran for city council. For kings and all who are in authority, that we may what? Lead a quiet and peaceable life. What kind of life are you supposed to live, guys? What does it say? That we may lead a quiet and peaceable. Your life's supposed to be quiet and peaceable. In all godliness and reverence. We're supposed to be godly and have peace and be reverent. Amen. We're supposed to reverence God. We're supposed to uh be in reverence to kings and those in authority. Respect them. Respect where they're at, right? Pray for them. If you don't personally like their personality or their actions, then you talk to the Lord about it and you ask God to change a situation. I, you know, let's pray right now. Father, I just uh thank you, Lord, for uh every single leader that we have in our nation and in the nations represented here in this broadcast. And we pray, Lord, that you would work, uh you would work in each person's heart to do your will on the earth. And we pray, Lord, that you would raise up good leaders, Lord, righteous leaders in our nations that honor King Jesus, that honor Christian values, that they honor justice. We pray, Lord, for the protection of those in charge. We pray for the protection of those in the White House, in Congress. Lord, we just we pray for our governors. We ask, Lord, that you'd speak to them and that you would put it on their hearts to seek you for wisdom in every single issue that comes to their desk. That they would be open to praying to you, God, in the name of Jesus. Thank you, Father. And I ask that you would give uh Christians favor with all the government leaders in the world, that Christians would have favor in the Middle East, Lord, that then closed nations in China, Saudi Arabia, North Korea, that they would start having favor for the Bible and for Christians and for evangelism. Uh, so for this is so we're in chapter two, we're in 1 Timothy chapter 2, if you're just joining us. For this is good and acceptable in the sight of God, our Savior, who desires all men to be saved. So his heart is for all men to be saved, even though they won't all be saved, and to come to the knowledge of the truth. For there is one God and one mediator be between God and men, the man Christ Jesus, who gave himself a ransom for all to be testified in due time. Then he goes on, for which I was appointed a preacher and an apostle. I am speaking the truth in Christ and not lying, a teacher of the Gentiles in faith and truth. So he's a teacher of who, guys? Who's he teaching right now? Gentiles. That's you and me, most likely, right? Because you didn't grow up in Israel in uh 2,000 years ago, right? Okay. Right? You're not a Jewish person living under the law in Israel. All right. Then he goes on. Remember, this is the Holy Spirit. This is the Holy Spirit speaking through Apostle Paul to Timothy, right? The pastor. I desire therefore that men pray everywhere. So people pray everywhere. So God's desire is that you pray. Lifting up holy hands without wrath or anger and doubting. Okay. Without anger and doubt. He wants us what? To lift up our hands and pray without having a bunch of anger, holding on to anger and doubt. So if you're somebody that deals with anger and doubt, give it to the Lord. Surrender it. Doubt, guys, is a lie from the pit of hell, right? So doubt is a lie. You don't have doubt in your spirit. You have the faith of Jesus, you have a measure of the faith of Jesus somehow. I don't know how that works, but you have faith. So if you are listening to a thought process that tells you that you have doubt and you have unbelief and God's not going to answer your prayers, that is what we call a lie. So, what do we do with lies? We pull them out of our brain through truth. We bring them to the obedience of Christ. Jesus is Lord, He took all the doubt on the cross for us. So you don't actually have doubt. That's just your soul. That's a lie. See? And how do we increase faith? By reading the Word, by fellowship with the Holy Ghost, by prayer, all that stuff, okay? By knowing God. And then it goes on. In like manner also that the women adorn themselves in modest apparel. Okay? And if that messes with your mind, it's most likely you're just probably got some, you know, your uh culture in you, American culture. If you hear that word modesty and you think it's like this bad thing, it's just American culture in your brain. Okay? We're all supposed to be modest. We're all supposed to have moderation in life. All Christians, you're supposed to have moderation. Let your moderation be known to all men. Okay? Modesty is more about your heart, right? All right. And remember, they lived in a time where there was a lot of street prostitutes, there's a lot of uh temple prostitutes, all that stuff, okay? And uh with propriety and moderation, see, it talks about moderation right here, not with braided hair or gold or pearls or costly clothing, but which is proper for women professing godliness with good works. So you're supposed to have a good heart of moderation and what good works and godliness. That's what a woman of God is supposed to be. And modesty is also uh also uh dressing for if you if you look into it. I I think I can look into it later, but I'll look into it later, but I I'm not gonna quote this as like 100%. But I was reading about like uh the Greek word and all that so mod. I could probably look it up. Let's look it up. It's it's more about like dressing for the uh occasion, right? So you don't wear beach attire to uh formal dinner, you don't wear formal dinner wear to church, you don't wear church wear to the gym, so it's kind of like dressing for the occasion. Um that's one way I've looked at it. I don't know, that's like uh so there's you know, remember that uh yeah, so yeah, it's just like of good behavior. It means it's a uh it's the in the Greek word, it's basically uh proper respect, respectable. So if you think of it that way, of good behavior, proper, respectable. So if you're going to uh if you're going to a fine dining establishment, you don't show up in gym wear because it would be disrespectful. Okay, so you want to dress respectively, okay? And that goes for men too. I mean, it's not like this rule thing, it's it's more about loving people around you. You dress respectively where you go. If you're going to the gym, you don't dress like you're going to the wherever, right? Yeah, it's just for respecting others, amen. So uh I think Jamie, Jamie said, yeah, dress with respect for others. It's perfect, guys. See, that's not like a oh, that's loving your neighbors yourself. It follows in loving. If you follow love, you'll dress with respect for others. You will, okay? And if you don't, it's just maybe American culture's a little bit on you. Maybe there's, you know, and you think it's wrong or something, or this is uh this is a cult or something, guys. It's the Bible. You can just read it, just do everything in love, really. That's what this is about. I mean, if you really read it. Okay, then it talks about let a woman learn in silence with all submission. I'm not getting into that one, okay? And he says, I don't permit a woman to teach or to have authority over man, but to be in silence. For Adam was first formed, then Eve, and Adam was not deceived, but the woman being deceived fell into transgression. Nevertheless, she will be saved in childbearing if they continue in faith, love, and holiness with self-control. So basically, a lot of people would die during childbirth.

So he's trying to encourage them if they walk in love and they I, you know, the term woman there can also be uh, you know, I'm not gonna get into this because it's a whole flare, everybody's gonna flare up about this. But basically, it taught it's uh it's a cultural thing as well. So back then you have a cultural thing, like in Pakistan, you have women and men in different uh sides of the church and things like that. So there's different cultural stuff here as well, but the word woman there can also mean wife. So if you kind of take in context, I would probably say a wife, you know, a wife. That's what I would say, but I'm not gonna get into this right now. It's a whole nother Bible study, and there's different opinions about it and everything. So I'm just gonna kind of just say, hey, do your own study, get your own opinion. For me, I believe women can preach the gospel. Okay, I believe women can preach the gospel, I believe women can uh be used by God, um, but I do believe there's a cultural thing to it. So if you go to a country where women aren't supposed to speak in public and you start speaking public and offend everybody, see, and if you're uh if you're a wife and you know, and you're you're um you're you know being uh rebellious with your husband and stuff like that then your house is out of order, all sorts of stuff. So see how this can get into kind of a weird area. So I'm just gonna say do all things in love, and everything works out, right? So if you go to a place where women aren't allowed to speak in public, well, what's how do you love and obey what's going on there? Unless you know the Lord wants to. I don't know, right? I hope I covered that. Love you. All things in love, okay. Because I haven't really studied this that much, so I'm not gonna try to sit here and da da da da. It's really if you just break it all down to love, love submission to God. I mean, really, that's all it is. Can I get amen? Or are you guys like yeah? This is a faithful saying. If a man desires a position of a bishop, he desires a good work. So a bishop would be in charge of a church, most likely, or maybe several churches. A bishop then must be blameless. Uh a hut the husband of one wife. So he couldn't be married to a bunch of um uh yeah. Uh I was reading something, sorry guys, I'm not screened. Uh a bishop, uh, the husband of one wife. So back then you have people who are coming out of different cultures. So if you go to different parts of the world, people are married to like 10 people, right? They have like uh they're polygamous. But you can't be a bishop if you if you're holding on to ten wives, you have to have a husband of one wife. Some people say that that's if you got a divorce or whatever, but that's not what it's saying. I don't think so. I think it's saying you have to have one wife to be a leader in the church. So let's say so. There's all sorts of stuff, guys, uh, that people don't realize that are um uh issues in different countries and different places. So you go to different countries, some people have eight wives, and the guy gets saved. And they got all these children with eight wives. So, as a leader in the church, what do you do? How do you handle this? Well, that person can't be a leader in the church, but they can be a Christian and they can serve God. They just can't be a leader in the church, they can't oversee churches with nine wives. Okay, but if you if you don't have nine wives and you get saved and now you're a Christian, you can't have nine wives. Like I can't go marry nine wives now. Does that make sense? Because it's husband and wife, but if it comes with it, you got all this family, and God has to work that out. God has to work out the cultural stuff of the eight wives or whatever. See how that works? But as a Christian, you couldn't marry more. This is my personal belief. You can always argue with me about it, but I'm not gonna argue. Okay, that's my personal belief. Okay, so some of this stuff, guys, you can go into all sorts of different cultural stuff, what was going on back when Paul was around, what's going on in different countries, uh, polygamy, all you can go into all that stuff, right? Uh, or you can just say do everything in love. And if you're become a leader of a church and somebody comes in with four wives and they're truly saved and they want to be part of the church, then you have to pray and you have to get wisdom with God about how this all works. In the same way, people come in, and let's say they were married to the same sex and all that stuff, and they get saved. And then how does that all work, guys? How do we deal with this as church leaders or pastors? If you're a church leader or pastor, you're gonna have to have wisdom. And so in these areas, you have to really pray and ask the Lord how you handle these areas in love and truth and and uh and godliness, right? So you just have to figure it all out with the Lord. So some things aren't you know 100% black and white all the time, okay. All right, thank you, Jamie, over on uh YouTube. Uh the first woman to be at the tomb, culture in the Bible, different beliefs, religions now today, God made one man Adam to one woman Eve. Yeah. So yeah, so we can agree in that. So, yeah, it's a lot of cultural stuff too, guys. And I know that people are like, oh, he says culture in the Bible's this and that. But there is a lot of cultural stuff, there really is. There, you know, and so you have to be aware of what culture you live in. For example, when I went to France and I went to visit my friend who was working on the at the beach, there was people with no tops on, women with no tops on, and I remember being real judgmental. And you work at a topless beach, and I was all offended, right? And he laughed and said, Well, that's all the beaches in in the south of France are topless, you know, and and so it was a cultural shock for me. I'm like, okay, that's now this is a whole different realm for me. In you know, I don't really think that's right in myself, but it's a cultural thing. It's kind of like if you go to some tribe in the in the jungle and they don't wear clothes, you preach to them like you know, like how does that work? Do you then do you bring a bag of clothes with you? You know what I mean? Like, there's a lot of things. If you're a missionary or you you visit different cultures, you have to kind of maneuver in what? In love. And then the things that you need wisdom about, about the culture or what's going on in your church, if you're a pastor or whatever, then God can give you wisdom because if we ask God for wisdom, he'll give it to us. I hope that helps. I'm not trying to teach on all this stuff, I'm just trying to encourage you. I don't know. Hope it helps. All right, so then he talks about what's a bishop, a leader of a church, husband and one wife, temperate. They can't be like an angry person, sober-minded, so they're not crazy, of good behavior. They're hospitable, they're able to teach, they're not given to wine, so they're not like drinking all the time and getting drunk all the time. They're not violent, so they don't beat up people and all that stuff. They're not greedy for money, super important, guys. Greed's a big thing. People have there's a lot of people, uh, even in ministries, they're very greedy that they uh that uh they put money above a lot of stuff and they'll say stuff and try to get money from you all the time. So you can't be greedy. Uh they need to be gentle. So a leader of a church needs to be a gentle person, okay? Not quarrelsome, they're not quarrelsome, and uh they're not covetous, okay. One who rules his own house well, so a leader of churches, a bishop or whatever you call it, is supposed to what rule his own house well. So if you want to be a pastor or somebody that is, you know, leading churches and stuff, you have to first start at home with your own home. If your home is all whacked out, and you're having issues with your wife and your kids, and you can't uh, you know, you can't walk in love in your house, and people, you know, all this stuff's going on in your house. Well, you might want to take a break from being a pastor, and you might want to spend some time with your wife and kids. Right? So I feel like maybe somebody's gonna watch this and go, whoa, that's me. That's what I feel like. So yeah, if you're having issues with your wife and your children, and you're being a pastor, you might want to rethink your priorities here. Maybe go get a part, you know, a part-time job or a job or take a hiatus and go deal with your family. Amen. Okay, why? Why does it say that? It says uh one who rules his own house well, having his children in what? Submission with all reverence. So they're supposed to, the children are supposed to be submitted, right? They're supposed to be submitted to the family order, the mom and the father and the mother. And he goes, for if a man does not know how to rule his own house, so he doesn't know how to lead his own house, how will he take care of the church of God? If you don't know how to rule your own house, so if your house is all whacked out, if your house is all whacked out, how are you gonna be able to take care of God's people in the church? If you got our if you're arguing with your spouse all the time, angry, your kids are rebellious and they don't listen to the words you say, they don't respect you at all and nothing. You you can't control, you know, you can't rule or I'm not saying control, but you can't like run your house correctly as the leader, as the man. How are you ever going to run a church of God? So if you're out there and you have issues at home and you're trying to start a church, you might want to rethink this and maybe spend some time reorganizing your life with your family. And then go start the church with the Lord. Maybe you're supposed to hear that. Okay, so not a novice, so you don't want somebody that doesn't know what they're doing. Why? Because they get puffed up with pride. And that happened to me in the past. I got into ministry early. You know, I was helping out in a ministry and I had a lot of pride. I had a lot of pride. I was a very um, you know, I I thought I was gonna save the world or something, right? And it says uh with pride, he fall into the same condemnation as the devil, right? So then they start uh then the condemnation starts coming in, right? And then uh I mean I don't think I was that bad, but maybe. I mean, I don't know, but God got me through it. So even if that's you, God can still get you through it. But you make a lot of mistakes and stuff when you when you deal with a lot of pride and ego, and and you know, guys, I'm not a perfect person. Um I serve a perfect savior, right? So I tried to be perfect, guys. It just doesn't. It's it's too it it's uh it's too much pressure. When I first started off ministry, I felt like I had I had to be perfect. Because if somebody saw that I was imperfect, then I I would feel like I was um uh I wasn't uh super spiritual.

That's why I'm transparent, guys, now like I'm real transparent because I learned that transparency is really important. Because if you're not transparent, that's why like I share earlier, like with the food thing, like I deal with food stuff, I'm trying to uh eat better and stuff like that, right? So we all have little things we deal with. So you you know you have uh transparency, which helps get rid of the pride. When you're not transparent, that pride can get you to hide behind like a mask of perfection, and a lot of ministry leaders hide behind that. You know, I I just heard a story about somebody that had a church, uh megachurch, and the groups, uh, the inner group, they would actually travel out of town to drink and party or whatever, because they when they get back into town, nobody could know that they drink beer or whatever they're doing. It's just like you know, they were doing that, and that's uh what a lot of people fall into sometimes, right? Um, you know, I kind of play the hypocrite, right? So you I don't want to be a hypocrite, guys. I've spent lots of years being a hypocrite. I don't want to be a hypocrite. I want to live an honest life, and I'm doing the best I can. So if you want to be a ministry, you you want to live an honest life. You want to live an honest life uh with people, and um you know, you don't have to air all your laundry and stuff. Everybody's got laundry, you don't want to air all your laundry, but you want to be transparent and honest, and you're not perfect, you know. I had to realize I'm not a perfect person. But the pride and the self-righteousness made me think I was this perfect person all the time. That makes sense. Okay, that was very judgmental back then. Thank you, Lord. So thankful for grace. And then he talks about deacons who are like the overseers of the church, a help the bad bishop, I believe, anyway, or pastors or whatever. Must be reverent, so they need to be reverent, not double-tongued, so they don't say one thing, do another thing, or lie or whatever. Not given to much wine, so they can't be drunkards, right? There's nothing wrong with drinking wine or alcohol. It's just you don't want it to control you. And anytime you get drunk, you're always going to probably do something you regret, and it's usually leads into bad fruit eventually, right? So drinking, if you if you have an issue with it or you're getting drunk, it usually leads to bad choices, duis, relationship issues, whatever, right? Okay, uh, all sorts of stuff can happen when you make bad choices. So, not giving to much wine, not greedy for money, super important, guys. Holding the mystery of the faith with a pure conscience. Okay, and then it goes on. Uh, let them also be tested, let them serve as deacons, being found blameless. So, you want people who lead churches to be people that have good testimonies that walk in love that are uh that have good testimonies to the outside world as well. Okay, likewise, their wives. So he's talking about the wives now, must be reverent, not slanderers. Although, you know, like women who or people in general, women and men can do it, but they slander each other, they they say negative things about other people, you know, like the pastor's wife talking bad about people or whatever, right? Slanderers or slandering people on social media, temperate, faithful in all things. Let deacons be the husband of one wife, ruling their children and their own houses well. Because that in the Gentiles, remember the Gentiles, they had polygamy in different places in that world, in that uh in that area, in the Gentile world, right? They had uh Paul's Paul was preaching to barbarians, all sorts of people, right? So there's all sorts of cultural things as well. So you do all things in love with wisdom. For those who have served well as deacons obtain for themselves a good standing and great boldness in the faith which is in Christ Jesus. Okay. All right. So then it goes on. Uh these things I write to you, this is verse 14, though I hope to come to you shortly. But if I am delayed, I write so that you may know how you ought to conduct yourselves in the house of God, which is the church of the living God, the pillar and ground of the truth, and without controversy, great is the mystery of godliness. God was manifested in the flesh. God came in the flesh, justified in the spirit, seen by angels, preached among the Gentiles, believed in the world, received up in glory. Then it goes on, guys. 1 Timothy chapter 4. Now this uh 1 Timothy chapter 4. Now the spirit expressed, so the Holy Spirit says that in the latter times, in the end days, some will what? Depart from the faith. Okay, so people will what depart from the faith, giving heed, so they depart from the faith which is in Christ. So these people depart from the doctrine or the commandment of loving your neighbors yourself, believing in Jesus. They depart from it. Doesn't mean they had faith before, right? Like they they were born again. It says they depart from the faith, so they hear the gospel, maybe they're apostate now. Doesn't mean they're born again following Jesus and they leave. Could be, I don't think so, because I believe people are saved forever. And if somebody is deceived, God will eventually bring them back around if they're really born again as a son of God. They get chastened and all that stuff. So I think people they leave the churches who are my theory, my this is what I've seen anyway. So if you imagine like a church or or Christians in general, or a gathering, you have people who are born again who serve God. You have people who are born again that are just kind of new and they, you know, and they're swayed back and forth with different doctrines and stuff like that because they they don't really know truth that well, but they're born again. Then you have people that are on their way of being born again. So they uh maybe they've been baptized, maybe they, you know, maybe they serve in church, they serve in the worship team, but they're not really saved yet. Some people haven't had that heart transformation, they've been baptized in water. Okay, there's a ton of them, and these are the people that leave the churches, like Apostle Paul or uh John said. Uh they came out from us, they became antichrist. You see them on social media a lot doing deconstruction and stuff. Those people were never born again. If somebody's truly born again, they've had experience with Jesus Christ and his love, they're circumcised in heart, they're a new creation. You don't just all of a sudden deconstruct and like now you're a sinner again. You don't unborn yourself, in my personal opinion. So you can you can debate me on this. I'm not gonna debate, but you can, you know, you can look into this. But I have found that you need to be secure in your salvation in the work of the Holy Ghost that's in you. Okay. And I don't believe you can unborn yourself. But there are people that haven't gone the whole way and had that circumcised heart. They've had seeds planted, they're, you know, they they've tasted of the word of God, they've seen miracles maybe in churches, they've been, they've had prayer and maybe they felt God's love, but they never had that transformation process in their heart. That's my personal belief. So they leave the faith. Okay, just like John said. They go out from us to show that they were never of us. This is my this is my take on it. Maybe I'm wrong. Okay. So remember, I'm not your, I'm just trying to teach the best I can. So you you and the Holy Ghost need to read the word together, and you need to know if you're saved forever and you can't lose your salvation or not. You need that revelation, you need the truth. I got it. I personally believe I can never lose my salvation, ever, because the Bible, pretty plain to me. Okay, Jesus said, No one can pluck you out of my Father's hand. Okay, and nothing can separate me from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus, my Lord. Nothing. So that includes myself, okay? And I have the faith of Jesus living in me. Okay, so if somebody is rebellious, and they're like, ah, you know, I'm not going to church anymore. They get chastened by the Lord in hopes they come back, or they go home earlier, whatever they suffer because you suffer in your flesh when you live in the flesh. And it's your choice as a Christian, okay? But I the so that's what I believe. So when they do when it says depart from the faith, it's basically that they maybe partake of the church. They were known as a brother or sister, they were going to the dinners, they were doing outreach, they depart from the faith. They're like, ah no, we're gonna go do this other thing, we're gonna start this denomination, and it's like way off or something, right? So, this is what I personally believe. You need to get your own revelation, or you need to get your own truth from the Holy Ghost. Because I I, you know, I'm not uh, you know, I'm not perfect, guys. Hope that helps. So these people have doctrines of demons, so maybe they started different denominations. Speaking lies and hypocrisy, having their own conscience seared with a hot iron. What are they doing? They forbidding to marry. Is there's doctrines where people forbid people in their groups, their religious groups, from marrying? Okay, there's religious groups like that today, guys, that they forbid people to be married. Okay, and commanding to abstain from foods, they command their people or their group to abstain from certain foods. Okay, these are called the Bible calls them doctrines of what? Demons. That's what it says, guys. I'm just reading what the Bible says. Forbidding to marry and commanding to abstain from foods which God created to be received with thanksgiving by those who believe and know the truth. For every creature of God is good, every creature, and nothing is to be refused if it is received with thanksgiving. Okay? For it is sanctified by the word of God and prayer. Then it goes on. If you instruct the brethren in these things, you will be a good minister of Jesus Christ, nourished in the words of faith and of the good doctrine which you have carefully followed. What's a good doctrine, guys? Very important. The commandment. Believe on Jesus, love God, love your neighbor. Good doctrine. Love, guys. See? I mean, really, all of it's love, if you think about it. The clothing thing, the marriage thing, the becoming a deacon, uh all of it. If you really just boil everything down, loving your neighbors yourself, respecting others, caring for people. Then it goes on. But reject profane and old wives' fables and exercise yourself toward what? What are you supposed to be exercising yourself towards? Do you even know? Godliness. You're supposed to be exercising yourself towards godliness with the Holy Ghost in you. So you're supposed to be learning how what? To love people, forgive people, to have a good testimony at work, to forgive your spouse easily, right? To be a man of God with your family, to pray, to intercede for kings and governors and rulers. Godliness. It's being set apart. Holiness is being set apart from the world, guys. You're holy, you're set apart. Be holy as I'm holy, be set apart from the world system. Your life is not supposed to be the exact same as people of the world. Your your Instagram posts are supposed to be not the same as everybody in the world. You're supposed to be different. Set apart. You are holy, you are filled with the Holy Spirit, you are godly. Okay? You are godly. You're supposed to exercise yourself. What? To godliness. So start believing that you're a godly person. If you just think you're a loser, or you're always gonna be this horrible sinner, or you're always gonna struggle with this habit, you're never gonna be perfect, whatever that is. Godliness. I'm a godly person. You can forgive your spouse, you can be humble, you can have self-control. You do have self-control. You do have humility, right? Like when I said I struggled with pride in my past, I was a prideful person, but that truly wasn't my real personality. My real self is the mind of Christ in me. Christ in me now lives, right? It's no longer you that live, but Christ that lives in you. The life that I now live, it's Christ that lives in me, right? So if you're a, you know, you want to live godly, it's not about rules and oh, you can't put on makeup, you can't do it. It's about how can I respect the people I'm going to see right now? Am I being respectful? Am I being godly when I go to church? Am I being godly at work?

Because it's really easy to be somebody else at church than you are at work. Trust me, I know this guy, because I've done it. I call it playing the hypocrite, done it a thousand times. You go to church and you're godly. Then you go to work and you're talking about bad stuff and you're flirty and all that stuff. Right? But at church you're a different person. Well, why don't you be a godly person everywhere? And it says all those that wish or want to live godly are gonna what? Suffer persecution. So guess what? When you start exercising yourself to be a godly person, you will suffer persecution for maybe your loved ones, maybe those at work, maybe those at the store. I don't know. Right? I talk with people, you know. I mean, talk with uh, you know, I meet people, talk with people. Maybe I'll I'll go to a um, you know, get together, somebody invites me somewhere, show up, start talking to somebody my age, you know, guys, whatever, and they start doing the guy banter, talking about women, talking about last time they went on a date, and start talking about all this ungodly stuff. I just don't partake of it. And a lot sometimes they just look at me like, are you weird, man? What's going on? Like, why don't you know that's not funny? You know, because they make like a joke about a woman's body or something at the get together, and I'm standing there, I'm like, and then they're like looking at me like, oh, that was funny, wasn't it? Why isn't it funny? It was funny when I was a sinner, but now what? I'm godly now. Speaking evil of somebody or making fun of somebody's body or lusting after them like that, that's not godly. So I don't want to partake of it, right? So you want to be a godly person. I'm not talking about being like holier than thou, but be godly. Be a godly person. And you can because you got the Holy Ghost. It might take some time for you to learn how to maneuver around people and how maybe not to joke around at work as much. It be you're in a transformation process and give yourself a lot of grace and ask the Lord for grace. If if you have a problem, maybe you like to go talk about a bunch of junk at work with the boys, and now you're kind of like, oh, you know what? That's not really a good testimony. Maybe I kind of need to let go of that, and then you go to work and you start doing it again. Well, don't condemn yourself, ask the Lord to give you grace to let it go, okay, and give you wisdom and how to speak with people and love and and uh and know when to keep your mouth shut. For bodily, or it goes on, uh, but reject profane and old wives' tables and exercise yourself toward godliness for bodily exercise. Okay, so the people of the world they bodily exercise. People exercise, right? So that's a big thing right now. Everybody on Instagram and uh social media, they post their workout routines, right? Which, whatever, if that's what they want to do. For bodily exercise profits a little. So working out profits you a little bit, guys. Okay, it does, it profits you physically, maybe makes you feel better, uh, but it profits you a little, okay. So I would rather see Christians instead of always posting about their, this is my own opinion, posting about their workout and how you know that their body's a temple. That's great, do that. But then the next scroll is something ungodly, right? You've seen it, I'm sure, right? Maybe post about godly stuff and the exercise stuff. You know what I'm saying? For bodily exercise profits a little, but godliness is profitable for all things. All things. So godliness is profitable for what? Your health. All things. So you struggle with maybe your health. Well, maybe maybe you worked out, you've done everything you can. Oh, maybe you need to live a little bit more godly. Maybe you need to exercise in godliness. Maybe you need to forgive that person. Maybe you need to start walking in love. Maybe you need to repent. Change your mind. Change it. Just change your mind. Believe the truth. You are a godly person. So bodily exercise profits a little. So there's a little profit there, nothing wrong with it. But godliness is what you should be focusing on. It's profitable for all things, having promise of the life that now isn't of that which is to come. This is a faithful saying and worthy of all acceptance. Amazing, huh? It really is, guys. Praise God. God is good. Okay, so anyway. For this, for the uh 1 Timothy 4 10, for to this end we both labor and suffer reproach because we trust in the living God, who is the savior of all men, especially to those who believe. These things command and teach. God is the savior of all men. Jesus died for all men. Amen. Hallelujah. Praise God. Then it goes on don't let people despise your youth. But be an example to the believers. So if you want to be a leader, a pastor, all that stuff, you want to be a ministry leader, you want to start your own ministry off, you need to be what? An example to believer, all believers in word, in so how you speak, in word, how you talk, how you converse, in conduct, how you live your life, in love, how you love others, in spirit, in faith, in purity. Purity, guys. Purity. It's not talked about a lot. We're pure virgins in Christ. We're the bride of Christ. We have purity because of his blood. You're, you know, maybe you had a, you know, you did a lot of bad stuff when before Christ, and you don't feel pure, you know, and you want that purity back. Well, guess what? It says right here that we have purity in purity. He wouldn't tell us to uh be an example of. Purity, if we didn't have purity. So if you know if the devil you know tells you you're not pure, maybe you've struggled with the habit of looking at stuff on the internet or whatever, and you don't feel like you have purity, you've lost your purity, then repent, change your mind, and ask the Lord to help you believe that you are a pure person, that you have purity, you have purity of heart, you have purity of mind.

Till I come, give attention to reading, so that's what we're doing. We're reading, to exhortation, encouragement, that's what I've been trying to do, and to doctrine. Interesting. Doctrine's there again. To doctrine, Jesus Christ and crucified, saved by grace through faith, not of works. Love God, love people, do not neglect the gift that is in you, which was given to you by prophecy with the laying on of the hands of the eldership. So the elders got together and they prayed for Timothy, and he got some sort of gift. Okay, so it could have been gift of miracles, could have been gift of languages, other languages, could have been a gift of wisdom, could have been the gift of mirror or uh healings, whatever it is. Meditate on this. So he's telling them to what? Don't neglect the gift, use the gift. Okay, so if you've been given a gift, use the gift, don't neglect it, because that the gift is given you to prosper in ministry, in life. And you can you, you know, you can have a gift of uh uh word of knowledge, word of wisdom. You can use that in business, you can use that in counseling, you can use that in pastoral work, whatever. So use your gifts, whatever God's given you. Meditate on these things, give yourself entirely to them. Give yourself entirely to them. Can you believe that? Give yourself entirely. What's that mean? Surrender. That's what he's saying. Give yourself, surrender to these things, surrender to love, surrender to purity, surrender to godliness, surrender to Jesus. Come to Jesus moment, guys. That your progress may be evident to all, so that others may see the progress you have in Christ. Take heed to yourself and to the doctrine because there's all sorts of people trying to get Timothy and me and you down the side quest. They're trying to tell you that you can't eat certain food. They're trying to tell you you have to keep this holy day, or you can't do this. You can't do this. You have to wear this certain clothing. You, you know that this and that, and you have to follow the law to the T. They're all in there. They're trying to tell you, guys, they're everywhere. Side quest, guys. They're trying to give you a bunch of wisdom that they think they have. They're trying to give it to you to get you away from what the doctrine, love, faith in Jesus, love the brethren. They're trying to get you away from it. The devil doesn't want you to be free, he doesn't want you to receive the truth. He will fight, he wants you to be self-righteous, he wants you to always struggle with your flesh, he wants you to be bitter at your husband or wife, he wants you to be angry all the time, he wants you to be frustrated, he wants to turn you into a self-righteous, prideful Pharisee. He doesn't want you to be humble, he doesn't want you to just not judge people, he wants you to, you know, he doesn't want you to be loving and kind to people, he doesn't want you to extend your hand to help people and to love sinners where they're at without judging them, to just love them where they're at. He doesn't want you to realize that you apart from Christ are evil. Jesus said, if you being evil know to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your heavenly father give good things to those who ask him? If you being evil apart from Christ are righteousness, are filthy rags. Once you realize when you look at the law of Moses, you realize you are hopeless as an evil person in the sight of God, and the only goodness that's in you is Him, then you can just surrender to that, and then His goodness starts manifesting in your life. So if you really want to be a good person, a loving person, a kind person, then you need to surrender to the Lordship of Jesus Christ. You need to be filled with the Holy Ghost because there's nothing good in the fallen nature. Remember, Paul said that. What's sin? Missing the mark of perfection of a holy God. Okay, missing the mark like an arrow or like a you know, like a like a target, missing the mark. You're always gonna miss the mark. Jesus hit the mark. He is the mark, and Jesus is love, and so love is the fulfillment of the law. The end of the law is Christ. So we hit the mark when we look towards Jesus. We miss the mark when we look towards ourselves. Everything that's not of faith is sin. Remember, the Bible says. Why? Because you miss the mark in yourself. The whole problem here is you, right? Me, our self, our ego, pride of life, lust of the flesh, lust of the eyes. All these are not of the Father, but are of the world. See? And so the more you realize that in yourself, you're just a self-righteous person that's trying to justify their behavior or their thoughts, you finally realize, oh my gosh, I am in myself. I'm missing the mark here. I need Jesus Christ. I need him every moment. Guys, you need Jesus Christ every moment. I feel the presence of God. Lord, I love you so much. I need you every second, Lord. I need you every second of my life because without you, my righteousness is filthy rags. I have no good in me other than you, Jesus. I was born in sinful flesh, Lord. I was born from sinful parents, right? I love my parents, but Lord, they were born in the world. All I knew my whole life was sin. Right? All you knew your whole life was sin. Everybody in the world, all they know is sin. All they know is rebellion. All they know is getting drunk, high, treating people bad, judging people, being self-righteous, being religious, trying to justify themselves. Right? But Jesus lives inside of us now, and we died with him. And so now we can allow his love and his light to live through us. We can forgive people. Why? Because we have to? Or because his grace compels us to. Hey, I want you to do your own study of the word of God. I don't want to be your guru. I want you to get touched by the Holy Ghost, love Jesus, get closer to the Lord, right? That's my goal. But my goal isn't to be your guru or your apostle. I want you to read the word for yourself and have your own really close relationship with the Holy Spirit. I want you to remain faithful to him, right? As he always is remaining faithful to you. Then it goes on. Chapter 5. Don't rebuke an older man. Uh, so these are some things that he told Timothy as a as a leader. Exhort him as a father, younger men as brothers, older women as mothers, younger women as sisters with all purity. So you're in a church, you're supposed to treat people with love. Supposed to treat the younger women with purity, right? If you're a young man like Timothy was, right? Honor widows who are really widows. So you want to honor the widows that are really widows, not the ones that have a family, the ones that are all alone. The widows that don't have kids, let's say, the widows that don't have anybody living in the community, they're all alone. Honor those people. That's a whole ministry right there to honor widows. Okay. Maybe you talk to your pastor. Hey, pastor, do we have a widow's, uh, a widow's program here at the church? Maybe you're supposed to start that. You know, maybe you're supposed to find the widows in your in your local neighborhood. And you're supposed to, you know, maybe there's only one or two, but maybe you're supposed to be a blessing to them. Maybe you're supposed to come share the word with them, uh, love them, be a blessing. Bring them a food box or ask if they need their lawn mode, right? Who are really widows, though, not the ones that have like family and all that. That's that's not what Paul's talking about here. Uh, because it says right here the next verse. But if any widow has children or grandchildren, let them first learn to show uh piety at home and to repay their parents. So respect at home and to repay their parents, for this is good and acceptable before God. So if you're if you're let's say your mother is a widow, your father is a widower, you're supposed to respect them and take care of them. The church isn't supposed to care for those people. You're supposed to as a Christian. Uh now, she who is really a widow and left alone trusts in God. See, he says, the real widows who are left alone, they trust in God and continue in supplication, prayers night and day. But then he goes on and says, But she who lives in pleasure is dead while she lives. It's sensuality. But she who lives in sensuality, you know, pleasures, he's dead while she lives. Okay, if you live in sensuality and pleasures all the time, you're dead while you live, you're not even living a spiritual life. You're living in what the realm of the flesh, and the realm of the flesh equals death, life decay. Okay, then it goes, but if anyone does not provide for his own home and especially for those of his household, he is denied the faith and is worse than an unbeliever. So basically, those people that aren't caring for their widowed mother or their their kids, those people are not walking in love. They're not walking in the faith of God, they're worse than an unbeliever, okay? Because they're not treating people with love.

All right, they're denying the faith, these types of people. So those people that choose willfully not to support their family or care for them. Those people who choose not to pay child support. How's that the love of God? How are you taking care of your children? That's not the love of God. So if you're Christian and you're just, I'm not paying child support that lady, that's not the love of God. It's not taking care of those people in your family that maybe have nothing like a widowed mother or something, right? Alright, anyway, so then he goes on too about talking about the widows, how to care for them. And then it goes on, verse 17. Let the elders who rule well be counted worthy of double honor, especially those who labor in word and doctrine. For the scripture says, You shall not muzzle an ox while it treads out the grain, and the laborer is worthy of his wages.

So you're supposed to honor those, those elders who lead well, or rule, they use the word rule here, but it's lead well, be counted worthy of double honor. So those people who are elders, pastors, leaders, whatever, who who lead well, they should be counted worthy of double honor. So you're supposed to honor them double time, super honor. Crazy, huh? Especially those who labor in the word and doctrine. So if your pastor is an honorable elder, you're supposed to honor him, you know, or uh he's he's leading well, he has good testimony with his family, all that stuff. Guess what? He's supposed to be counted double honor, you're supposed to really respect that person and honor that person. For the scripture says you should not muzzle an ox. What's this mean, guys? It's so interesting, huh? For you shall not muzzle an ox while it treads out the grain. So let's say your pastor or whatever, your teacher or whatever, these people, uh, when you're not supporting them and helping them, you're muzzling the ox who's treading out the grain. So they weren't allowed to put a muzzle on the ox because the field that the ox was plowing, it could eat while it was plowing. Okay, and then it says the labor is worthy of his wages. So those like these elders and people that preach the gospel and stuff, they live off the gospel. If you're called to the ministry by the Lord, you you live off the gospel. There's a time where you're gonna have to live by faith. Okay, so these people, he's basically telling them you don't not help these people. It says you don't muzzle them. So if you have you know extra money, or whatever you're supposed to help your pastors or ministers or whatever, right? That's how this is, I mean, this is what he told Timothy anyway. Okay, so that's between you and the Lord. But that's where like giving comes from and stuff in the New Testament. Uh, and that's a scripture uses. So if you're if you're plowing in a field, you can partake of that field. So, like if I sow spiritual stuff to you, it's not a big deal that I reap financial stuff from you. That's not that's scriptural, believe it or not.

All right. Do not receive an accusation against an elder except from two or three witnesses. Those who are sinning rebuke in the presence of all that the rest also may fear. Okay, so this scripture right here really freaked me out when I was in the cult. So I was in a cult, uh, the Tony Alamo cult. You can watch the YouTube video of it. He was on uh he did like he died in federal prison in 2017, but there's like you Hulu video, there's TV shows about it, stuff like uh how I escape the cult, stuff like that. It's on, you can just Google it. It's Tony Alamo. He was a cult leader. Anyway, when I was in the cult, this is the one scripture he used to uh to rebuke people in the services. So there's these cassette tapes. He wasn't in the location I was at, uh, in the commune I lived at, so he would send cassette tapes, old school, huh? Cassette tapes to the uh elders in the church there, the pastors there, the whoever leaders, I don't call them pastors because they were all messed up. It was a cult. Anyway, they had the cat cassettes, they play these cassettes, and this cult leader would rebuke anybody in the church that was known for doing anything wrong. Like if you were late to service and he heard about it, if you didn't uh, you know, report to your job that you were working for free for the church or whatever it was called, the ministry church, you know, if you uh, you know, ate too much food or whatever, like had an argument with somebody, he would rebuke you in front of all. So I would listen to these. I wrote about in my book, uh Becoming God's Friend, my book, Autobiography. He would have these tapes where he would he would rebuke people openly. And this is the scripture that he took out of context. See this what I'm talking about. They take out of context these things, okay? So what you guys, what is who's speaking here? Paul is talking to Timothy, and he's laying out how the church is supposed to run with elders. Okay, and it says, Don't uh don't receive an accusation about an elder without two or three witnesses. This is the uh the the scripture right above it, right? The passage right above it. Those who are sinning rebuke in the presence of all that the rest also may fear. Who's he talking about? Is he talking about the kid who's who's you know struggling with something, or maybe he got caught doing something dumb, and you you bring up the teen and you yell at him in front of the church? Is that what he's talking about here? See, see how people take things out of context? He's talking what I get from this, he's talking about elders. If you hear an elder doing something stupid, and there's two or three witnesses, you need to bring the elder up in front of everyone. The other elders, maybe, right? And you rebuke him. So the rest of the elders, and maybe the church people or whatever, they have fear of God. Right? So the elder, let's say, is is treating somebody really bad. And two or three witnesses come to you and say, hey, this guy's this guy's stealing from the local store, you know, or he's being greedy, he's taken from the offering, something, right? Something. Well, you you line him up and you rebuke him so that he what repents. And so other people go, oh, yeah, I shouldn't live in sin as an elder. Or, you know, or whatever. Or however that works. If it's in front of everyone, it says all, so it could be the whole church, or it could just be the group of elders. Probably, I don't know. In my I would probably say it's all, but you know, who knows how they smaller groups back then too, so who knows? Okay, those who are sending rebuke in the presence of all that the rest also may fear, okay? So that they have reverence of God. Okay? Because you don't want the elders out there hurting people. We've all I mean, I've been to churches. You hear, you know, there you somebody's hurting somebody somewhere and nobody's doing anything about it, right? And you gotta leave the church because the people are weird, you know, the leadership gets all weird, and you're like, oh, they're hurting people. You hear it later on. There's stuff coming out of the internet now with you know different uh big big churches or big ministries, and you find out they're you know really hurting people, and you're like, Wow, well, they didn't have a structure, maybe, or or you know, there's I don't know. Anyway, okay. I charge you before God and the Lord Jesus Christ and the elect angels that you observe these things without prejudice, so you don't have prejudice towards people doing nothing with partiality, so just because somebody's rich, you don't treat them different than somebody's poor. I was guys, I was guilty of that when I first started out in ministry when I was doing ministry. Um, you know, I in ministry what happens is people give money, right? And so I was starting people give a lot, and some people give a little, and I started treating people differently. And the Lord really worked on me about it, you know. So if somebody give a lot of money, I feel like I have to treat them differently than somebody gives 10 bucks or whatever, right? And the Lord really had to deal with me on that because I was being partial, I was treating people differently according to how they were supporting the ministry. I need to be nice to everybody, I need to treat everybody the same without partiality. So if you give a lot or a little to the ministry, praise God for you. But I'm not gonna treat you differently. So you you know, you give a million dollars or you give ten dollars, I'm gonna treat you just the same.

Alright. In love, right? Treat everybody with love, without partiality. Do not lay hands on anyone hastily. Okay, that's the one the deliverance people use. Okay, so guys, what is this? Remember, you gotta see doctrine or doctrine. You gotta see the context. Paul is talking to Elder Timothy about elders and establishing elders and how to rebuke elders who are sinning and all that stuff, right? Then he talks about what? Do not lay hands, don't do anything uh part with partiality. So he's talking about how he's how you treat people, how you treat the elders and all that stuff. Do not lay hands on any. Anyone hastily or quickly, nor sharing other people's sins. Keep yourself pure. What's he talking about there? Super interesting. What is the context? For me, I believe the context is elders. And over here it talked about when they laid hands on him, he received a gift. So I would say he's telling him don't lay hands on anybody speedily, because when you became an elder or pastor, they laid hands on you. And they blessed you to become the pastor. So what is he saying here? Don't lay hands on people quickly. So all of a sudden, you're just like, oh, this person's a novice. Oh, I'm just going to lay hands on he's going to be a pastor because I want to start a church in this community. Okay, you're a pastor after two months of knowing the Lord. Or somebody comes into church and they're like, wow, they speak well, they're anointed. We're going to make him a pastor. Okay, well, it says what? Don't lay hands on them quickly, nor share in other people's sins. Okay, so maybe that person's messed up. And so this person comes to church or anointed. You're like, oh, this person's gonna be our next pastor. We're gonna anoint him. We've only known him for six months. And then all of a sudden you pray over him or you bless him to be the pastor, and then within a week, he's messing around with all the females in the church. He's stealing, he's doing all sorts of stuff. Now you're you've now anointed or you've given way to this all the sin. So now you're partaking of the sin because it's in the church that you're leading, you know. Think about it. That's what I think. Keep yourself pure, right? So keep yourself pure, don't partake of other people's stuff. Don't you don't want part in that, so you don't you want to get to know people first, you know, because sometimes, you know, there's a lot of people that do ordination and they don't even know the person. They they ordain them through their ministry. You don't even know the person, you just ordained them. I don't think I think Timothy kind of speaks against that. You know, if I'm gonna ordain somebody, I want to know the person a little bit at least, right? I don't want to just say, go start a church under the banner of the father's friends. I don't know you. What? Right? Or the or just go start a church and tell them you know, you know, I ordained you, and then this guy's over here hurting everybody starting cults. What? And now we're gonna tarnish the gospel because I laid hands on them quickly? No, thank you. So I'd rather get to know them, right? You want to know the person that they have character, and you can trust them to be a pastor or an elder or whatever. Um, no longer drink any water. So then he tells them, hey, but use a little wine for your stomach's sake and your frequent infirmities. So he's like, hey, you only drink water, you can drink some wine, help with your stomach and your infirmities that you deal with. They probably had bad water there. Okay, some men's sins are clearly evident preceding them to judgment. Some men, you find out their sins, they get exposed, right? And they get judged for the sins. Let's say they're doing something and they get and they're living in sin as a Christian or pastor or whatever, and they get caught and they lose their ministry or they lose their church or they get embarrassed or whatever. They go to jail, all sorts of stuff. And those that are otherwise cannot be hidden. The good or uh no. So verse 24. Some men's sins are clearly evident, preceding them to judgment, but those of some men follow later. So some people the follows later. Okay, later on, they they they lose rewards or whatever, maybe. I don't know exactly how it works. But eventually we all have to meet Christ and we have to give account to our account to the Lord, and then we get rewarded according to how we lived our life, and we have to talk with them about the good and bad. I think. I think so. But if you're saved, you don't have to fear that because you get you have eternal life, you're sealed, you have the promise of eternal life, so you don't lose eternal life. Okay, likewise, the good works of some are clearly evident, and those that are otherwise cannot be hidden. So some people's good works are uh evident, and and uh some can't be hidden, they just do good works, and you're just like, wow, everybody sees it. Uh then it goes on to talk about what bondservants as are under the yoke count their own masters worthy of all honor, so that the name of God and his doctrine may not be blasphemed. Okay, so then it goes on, it talks about doing good to your bondservants, okay. And then it talks about you're supposed to respect them and things like that under God. Okay, different culture, guys. We don't have bondservants now. Okay, so I'm not gonna get into all that. That's one thing people try to bash. Oh, slavery, bonds are all stuff. I'm not going into that right now. Praise God. Okay, and then it goes on. Uh, verse 3 if anyone teaches otherwise and does not consent to wholesome words, even the words of our Lord Jesus Christ, and to the doctrine, doctrine again, guys, which what accords with godliness? The grace of God is what appeared to all men, teaching us to abstain from godly, ungodly behaviors and lustful practices and lawlessness. Okay, it teaches us what does the grace of God teach us, guys? It teaches us to love our neighbors ourselves, it teaches us to live a godly life and respect others and forgiveness, teaches us mercy, compassion, right? Which accords with godliness if if they don't um teach and consent to the words of Jesus. He is proud, knowing nothing, but is obsessed with disputes. Remember, we talked about disputes earlier? This is a great book, huh? First Timothy's great. It all lines up. See, when you read in context, like, whoa, okay, you talked about it earlier. Disputes and arguments over words, from which come envy, strife, rivaling, evil suspicions, useless wranglings of men of corrupt minds, and destitute of the truth, who suppose they think that godliness is a means of gain from such withdraw yourself. Now, godliness with contentment is great gain. Say that with me. Godliness with contentment is great gain. Guys, you you ever thought like how much money you need to be secure or happy? You ever really pondered that? You ever really thought about that? Like, you know, I always look at people who make like a hundred million dollars, and I'm like, how much money they need to make? Like, if you ask a person how much they need to be secure, could they give the rest away? Or do they need to make more? See, that's the trick of it all, guys. How much money is where you're like, okay, I'm good, I can just relax now. Interesting, huh? It's very interesting. That's the trick of uh wealth, of mammon, of worshiping wealth, or or looking towards money or things as your security, looking at your life insurance or your or your uh 401k or your your gold that you stockpiled, or the money in the bank as your security, it's a trick. Because it's never enough to your flesh. It's a trick. That's why people are greedy, right? Not, I mean, that's one reason. It's a trick, see. So ask yourself, maybe sit down and go, okay, how much do I need? What is the end result? I just need a million dollars in the make. But do I need a million dollars? Well, let's see here, then then I'm gonna buy a house, but then I have expenses, and then I got 20 years, I gotta live until I'm 70, and then I got to see, and then you start thinking, what's enough, guys? When are you ever gonna be content? In the flesh, you'll never be content. Okay, that's why people keep striving 80 years old to make more money. They got tricked. Everything's a trick. They're living for mammon, they've served mammoth. Okay, nothing wrong with making a lot of money. It's security, guys. Where's your security? See, when you're secure in eternal life, doesn't matter. When you're secure in Christ, it doesn't matter if you have a million dollars in a bank or a dollar in a bank. Years ago, I remember I was living by faith. I've lived in by faith forever that I can remember. I mean, I think I retired from my behavior health uh 2000, yeah, since I started ministry full-time, 2013. So I've been living by faith since 2013. Uh yeah, 2013. And uh and I remember uh um one time I had a dollar fourteen in my checking account. A dollar fourteen. Okay, I had a car payment, I had all this stuff. A dollar fourteen. I'm like, and you know what I did? I printed a paper with this big dollar fourteen on it, and I put it on my wall as a picture. Like as a like a you know, for your um like a framed picture. It's a dollar fourteen on the wall. I should probably reprint that. I don't know what happened to it. I think I lost it when I looked up I remember my brother one time coming by and he looked at it. He was in my room or something, he looked at it, he's like, what's with the what's with the dollar fourteen? And I I could talk with him about it. I'm like, oh, that's like the lowest amount of money I had. I wanted to I wanted to put it there so I could always remember. Like, God took care of me when I had a dollar fourteen in my account. And some of you might have less than that, you might actually be in debt, but guess what? You have a savior that knows where you're at, and God promised that he supplies all your needs in Christ Jesus. And if you step back and realize you're in the spirit, you'll see that debt is in the world system. Okay, and the world system is not you anymore, you're in the spirit. And in reality, God owns all the gold and silver, and he owns all the cattle in a thousand hills, he owns the he owns the banks that you owe money to, he owns those. So, in reality, God he's supplying somehow. It maybe you got in debt because you did something dumb, or maybe he's teaching you a lesson to how to get out of debt to help others or faith or whatever. I don't really know. But I do know that prosperity is yours in Christ and it looks different for everybody. So debt is not supposed to be somewhere you live for the rest of your life, but there are times it's been in my life as well, that you deal with different situations, and God you can exercise your faith and eventually overcome, just like Joseph was in a dungeon. You could say he was in debt pretty much. He was in a dungeon, he couldn't move out of there, it was horrible, just like being a debt is. So there's teachings, or there's uh there's stories of old that can help you in your situation you're in. And then that's when you just look towards Jesus as your supplier and as your friend and as your savior, and believe that he's gonna supply all your need, and then you're gonna get trained. Maybe you need to learn some stuff about finances, maybe you maybe you just got a bad situation, maybe you went through a bad divorce and now you got all this debt or whatever. But God, no matter what, God is your supplier, God helps you in your need. Okay, just like if somebody goes to the hospital and they they got a test. Okay, it's a bad situation, just like debt would be. But they look towards what? Their savior to heal them. So look at that as an opportunity for God to heal you. If you keep looking as a negative, but God hates you and God's mad at you, then you're just gonna live in that negativity instead of just believing that, hey, you're in a situation, okay, but God's gonna get me out of it, just like he got Joseph out of the hole in the ground, the dungeon. Okay, all right. Anyway, that's it. Uh, that's pretty good. Uh now godliness with contentment is great gain. For we brought nothing into this world, and it is certain we can carry nothing out. And this is a hard one for people to get. And having food and clothing, with these we shall be content. With food and clothing, you should be content. Hard, huh? In the spirit you can do it though. Grace. Ready for this? But those who what desire to be what? Rich. Those who crave or desire or long for wealth to be rich, fall into what? Temptation and what a snare, and into many foolish and harmful lusts, which drown men in destruction and perdition. I see it a lot, guys. A lot of men, especially, they want to prosper, and so they maybe they go to secular, uh secular type motivational stuff or whatever to prosper, and they meet people who are want to prosper, and they maybe get caught up with something, maybe a scam, maybe they get scammed, maybe they start meeting people who are all about wealth, and then they start getting further from Jesus and they fall into lustful acts and all that stuff because why? They had this deep desire to be wealthy, it's a deception. Okay, there's nothing wrong with being wealthy, it's just that it's your heart posture with it. Is it an idol? See, it's good to prosper because then you can prosper the kingdom. It's all about pushing forward the kingdom of God, right? Expanding the kingdom of God. That's really what this is all about. Because you you died to yourself, you're now a new creation, right? You die with Christ. Then it goes on for the love of money. So the love of money is a root of all kinds of evil. So it's not money, it's the love of money. That's what he's talking about here. Love of money. Those who long to be rich, they love money. Is not a root of all, is a root of all kinds of evil, for which some have strayed from the faith. See, they stray, they go off into I'm just gonna, I'm just gonna pursue money. They strayed from the faith in their greediness and pierced themselves through with many sorrows. So greed will lead you to many sorrows. Okay, then he goes on and he talks to Timothy, but you, oh man of God or woman of God, let's say he's saying to you, flee these things. And what are you supposed to pursue? Supposed to pursue the billion dollars? Is that what you're supposed to pursue? Pursue righteousness, right living, righteousness by faith, justification, loving people, godliness, faith, love, patience, gentleness. That's what you're supposed to pursue. What am I supposed to pursue, Lord? I don't know what I'm supposed to do in life. Oh, you're supposed to pursue righteousness, godliness, love, faith, patience, gentleness. That's what you're supposed to pursue. Just answer your question. There you go. And then you fight the good fight of what? Faith. Lay hold on eternal life. Knowing the Father is eternal life. So lay hold of knowing the Father, lay hold of eternal life, to which you were also called and have confessed the good confession in the presence of many witnesses. I urge you in the sight of God, who gives life to all things, and before Christ Jesus, who witnessed the good confession before Pontius Pilate, that you keep this commandment without spot, blameless until our Lord Jesus Christ appearing. That what? You keep this commandment, lay hold of faith, fight the good fight of faith, pursue righteousness, godliness, love, patience, gentleness, that you keep this commandment without spot, blameless until our Lord Jesus Christ is appearing. So you just keep moving forward in faith and love and patience, all those things which he will manifest in his own time. He who is the blessed and only pontent, the king of kings and the lord of lords, who alone has immortality. Jesus is the only one with immortality. He earned immortality. Jesus Christ earned immortality. Praise God. This is a long spirit stream, two hours. Wow, sorry guys. Uh, who alone has immortality, guys, dwelling in unapproachable light, whom no man has seen or can see, to whom be honor and everlasting power. Amen. Then he goes on, command those who are rich in this present age. So he's saying, command those, encourage those who are wealthy. So if you're wealthy, he says, not to be haughty or prideful or arrogant, nor to trust in uncertain riches. You don't trust in your money, but in the living God. You trust in God. So if you're wealthy, Paul the Apostle, the Holy Ghost says, What? Don't be prideful, arrogant, don't trust in money, but trust in the living God who gives us richly all things to enjoy. God wants us to enjoy our lives, guys. Gives us all things to enjoy. Your experiences you have in life are supposed to be there to be enjoyable. Like my little dog Timmy. He's enjoyable. I like walking with him. I just posted a thing about him almost getting scratched by a cat. He's so cute. He went last night. We were walking, and the black cat showed up. And Timmy started sniffing it. And I'm like, oh, I guess the cat's nice. And then the cat tried to swipe it with his claw, but he was nice too. It was funny. I posted it in my stories, I think. Okay. Let them do good. So let the rich do good that they may be rich in what? Good works. Ready to give. So if you have money, you're wealthy, you're supposed to be rich in good works, ready to give, like to the work of the Lord, to widows, to whatever. Willing to share. Storing up for yourselves themselves a good foundation for the time to come that they may lay hold on eternal life. So they're supposed to have good works. You're supposed to be rich in good works. Oh, Timothy, guard what was committed to your trust. The gospel. Guard the gospel. In another place, Paul says that Paul he was a defender of the gospel. See, the gospel gets attacked, the gospel gets twisted, right? So he's a defender of the gospel. Timothy was entrusted with the gospel. And he was entrusted with the people of God. Like I'm entrusted with Holy Ghost television. I'm entrusted with the Father's Friends. The app I have for the ministry, I'm entrusted with that. There's people in there that post stuff. I'm entrusted to interact with them, love them, care about them, right? I'm entrusted with this. The people that call the 188 know him number. I'm entrusted with those people. God entrusted me with this. It's serious business, right? But I can do it through God's grace, right? Like I don't have to be afraid to make a mistake. Even if I make a mistake, God's there. I'm not afraid to make a mistake. I made so many mistakes. I know God's there for me. He can restore, he can heal, right? Because it's all about keeping a clean conscience, having a good heart with God. Okay. Guard what was committed to your trust, avoiding the profane and idle babblings and contradictions of what is falsely called knowledge. How people get online, they argue with people, like they want to do debates and all. I got asked. To do a debate with uh with with a scholar of uh I think it was Islam in the Philippines. I got invited to like their university or whatever, and I just declined. I kindly declined because I I'm not really a debater, I'm not gonna debate, you know, so I'm I'm not not interested. But I got to preach a gospel to the person and and love on the person. But uh yeah, I'm not like a debater. Maybe in the future God will have me go talk, you know, and try to debate somebody, but I'm not I'm not interested because I'm I'm more of a heart person. That's what I told the person. I'm more of a heart person, okay, uh, of what is falsely called knowledge. By professing it's some have strayed concerning the faith, grace be with you, amen. Some some uh some translations say that's the word science, so knowledge or science, right? Uh by professing it's some have strayed concerning the faith, grace be with you, amen. Because the carnal mind, guys, remember the carnal mind can trick you, right? So the carnal mind can make you start thinking differently. So a lot of people start reading the Bible and then they start looking into stuff, and their carnal mind gets in there and starts telling them, well, it's all based on uh chakras and all this other stuff. God, Jesus was uh he was just a good person, a prophet. You know, he goes into all this knowledge, ancient knowledge and Egyptian, all that stuff, and they stray concerning the simplicity of the gospel. So, Lord, I thank you for today. I thank you for the simplicity of the gospel, the gospel of grace, Lord, the gospel of the kingdom, Jesus Christ and crucified and resurrected on the third day. I ask, Lord, that uh every word that I said that was from you just go into the people's hearts and minds and transform them and everything that was just not from you, Lord, or from my flesh, it would just fall off of them and they'd forget it. Lord, I pray the power of the Holy Ghost would go through this uh uh broadcast and that people would receive healing in their bodies. I pray, Lord, for those who need healing in their heart, Lord, they just feel down in their heart or they've been rejected or uh they deal with that stuff in their heart. I pray healing, Lord, like just I don't know how soul works, Lord, but I know that you are the healer of our souls. I pray for great healing of our souls, deliverance, Lord, from demons, that demons would just lift out of people today, that as they believe in the truth, that the devil would just leave them. Thank you, God. I pray for those that are suffering from pain in their bodies, that healing would come. I pray for those that are struggling financially, that money would supernaturally flow, that blessings would come. I pray for those that want to be in ministry, Lord, or are in ministry, that you would just encourage them to keep moving forward. You'd open new doors for them. Thank you, Jesus. Thank you for your blood, Lord. Thank you for the gifts of the Spirit. We pray for the baptism of the Holy Spirit for anybody that can receive today, Lord, that anybody wants the baptism of the Holy Spirit with the evidence of speaking in in tongues, Lord, so they can have their prayer language, that they can be empowered by your spirit. I pray, Lord, that the tongues of fire would fall on their head, just like Acts chapter 2. I pray, Lord, that the fire god would fall on their house. I pray for revival in their homes. I pray for people's marriages to be restored and healed. I pray for breakthrough, Lord, in their health, Lord, with their weight, if they're dealing with weight issues, if they're dealing with doctors' visits, I pray for breakthrough. I pray for wisdom in the areas of their lives, Lord, that they need wisdom in. I pray wisdom would come supernaturally. I pray, Lord, that you would just bless each person watching this, Lord. And I didn't mean to go so long, Lord, but first Timothy was kind of long, Lord. So maybe I wasn't supposed to read the whole thing. I don't know.
