Yeah, I'm trying some uh different things, and I have uh another thing I want to share tonight. I wanted to um kind of help people who are want to learn more. Is the screen is completely black. All right, so uh I want to show you guys kind of how I uh sometimes study the Bible. There's different ways. Um sometimes there's uh it looks good on yours. Okay, so yeah, so it's probably something with uh on your end, Michael. Yeah, it's okay, just log back in or just redo the URL. You can also try to watch it at X2 and Facebook. Um, all right, so I want to show you some. I'm gonna go to screen share. I'm gonna show you some, see if this works. There we go. Look at that, I just screen shared. Pretty cool, huh? So this is kind of how uh one way I study the word of God. And it's it's I want to share with you guys tonight kind of how I do it. Um, because you know, I came from the uh I'll go back to this real quick. So I came back to the um, oh, it works now. Good, good, appreciate it. Okay, so uh I came from the time before there was a lot of Bible stuff on the internet. I mean, there was, but it was harder for me to find it. I read a lot of paper Bible, and I had the big, thick, strong concordance Bible. Okay, and so that's all good and everything, but with the internet, you want to take advantage of it. Remember, the internet and AI and all these things are good and bad, right? So good and bad. Uh, the internet is a great way to learn, but at the same time, remember there's a lot of false doctrines, a lot of weird stuff out there. Uh, so you want to what stick close to the Holy Spirit and the Word of God and then get your revelations from the truth of God's word. So let's go to a website I use a lot. Um, it's called Bible Hub, okay? And it's real simple to use. I'm sure a lot of you have seen this. You just go up here to search, and if you want to read like a chapter, I just I just do this. I just do um Ephesians 1. Let's say, let's try, let's do Ephesians tonight. Um, so let's pray and then we'll start. But I just basically open it up like this, Ephesians 1. And if you can see, there's all these different um, there's all these different translations right here. Do you see that? How there's all these different translations. The NIV, the NLV, uh, the ESV, the Berean Standard Bible, the Berean Literal Bible, King James Bible, New King James Version, New American Standard, NASB, you know, there's all amplified Christian standard, Holman American Standard, Contemporary English. So there's all these different uh these different uh Bible versions of Ephesians 1.1. And then you can just go here to Ephesians 1.2 and you can read it in different versions, okay? And then I'm gonna show you something else once we pray, okay? I hope that encourages some of you. Let me see if I'm at the right spot here. All right. So I want to show you this so that you can do your own study and you can learn. Because the thing is with translations, remember the translator is the one translating it from the original manuscript, whatever they have, right? So the King James, all those, uh, you know, they're translated by a translator, uh, and there's different wordings for all these words. Not all of them, but you can read context, all sorts of stuff with reading in the original Greek and Hebrew. So I kind of just go over it and try to encourage you uh how to how I study the word if I'm gonna like study instead of just casually read, or if I want to know more. Another thing you can do is you can go to like uh uh, well, we'll do that later. Let's pray. Father, I just thank you for the power of the Holy Spirit. I thank you for the word of wisdom. I thank you that you give us wisdom when we ask you. I thank you that the word of God goes forward, Lord, and it does what it's supposed to do, does not come back void. I thank you, Lord, that the word of God transforms us and it renews our mind. It helps us, Lord, it encourages us in faith and it and it changes us into the image of your Son Jesus Christ. We thank you, Lord, that we are love because you are love. We are light because you are light. Thank you, Lord, that we're healed and delivered and have eternal life through by grace through faith in the Lord Jesus Christ. I ask that Jesus would be exalted in this broadcast and that somebody out there would feel the love of God and the power of the Spirit. In Jesus' name, amen. All right, so let's start with Ephesians. Let's just go through this real quick. Um, praise God. Uh Jonathan, real quick, I'll read it. Hi, Nick, I finally caught you live. You've been really helpful. I'm in a battle, but know that it belongs to the Lord. Jonathan Rumens from New Zealand. Cool. I've been in New Zealand. Yeah, he says it's by Australia. Yeah, I got it. Praise God. I've been to 50 countries so far. So I've been around. Okay, so let's see here. So let's go to the screen share again and let's go to Ephesians 1. Okay, so we'll start in Ephesians 1. All right, so in the NIV, it says Paul, an apostle of Christ Jesus by the will of God to God's holy people in Ephesus, the faithful in Christ Jesus. Then if we go down to NLT, this letter is from Paul, chosen by the will of God to be an apostle of Christ Jesus. I am writing to God's holy people in Ephesus, who are faithful followers of Christ Jesus. And then it goes on, and you can read it in different translations and how they translated it. Some are for easy reading, some are for the time. You know, like uh KJV was in the time of uh you know 1611 or 1700s or whenever that one was re-revised, wherever. But what I want to show you is this little button right here. See this audio, cross-reference, study, uh, com Greek. So you can hit Greek and you can read it in uh in the original word for word, and then you can see the strongest concordance numbers. See that right there? So, what does an apostle see this? An apostle, so Paul, an apostle of Christ. What does an apostle mean? So it's from a postello, a delegate, see, a delegate, especially an ambassador of the good news or the gospel, officially a commissioner of Christ. And then you could go even deeper. You can go to Strong 6, 5, 2. And guys, I'm not like a Greek scholar or anything. So I'm I'm I'm I'm just like I'm just like a regular guy, okay? I'm not like a Greek scholar. I know people have been to school to study ancient Greek and ancient Hebrew and all those things, but really with the internet and with the Holy Spirit, especially the Holy Spirit, he can help you understand more of the context and the meanings of these words so that when you read, um, you know, like a lot of times when I was dealing with uh schizophrenia and mental health back in the day, I would read these verses that were very scary. Like, for example, uh the one where it says, you know, like in the King James, the 1611, especially, it says like condemned, or uh they are uh they are condemned or they are um damned, uses the word damned, right? And so you would read that as like a baby Christian that that struggles with sin or struggles with weird feelings or thoughts, and you would you would he see that word damned and you'd be like afraid. Oh my gosh, I'm damned, right? And then you could read the the Strong Sincordance and get kind of more of a flavor of what it's saying there. Judged, condemned could mean uh chasten, it can mean a lot of different things, right? Praise God. All right, so let's go back here. All right, hope you're all with me. Okay, so let's just look at apostle strong 652. So you click that little blue right there, and then you can go, it goes into this, it kind of tells you uh it goes into the concordance right here where it's uh all the times the apostle was written or uh it's in the Bible, right? All those different times, but I want you to see this right here: strongs. You can click right up here, it says strong. There's probably an easier way to do this, but this is just how I do it right now. Strongs. I have actually an app on my phone that's uh better, I think. Uh so this is 652 in the Greek strongs, it's a noun, uh postolos, like we talked about, right? And then the KJV, it it says it's an apostle messenger, he that is sent. And the NSAB uh says basically the same thing, right? Then it goes down one, a delegate, an ambassador of God, a commissioner of Christ, apostle with miraculous powers. Okay, then it kind of goes in the exhaustive, it's from Apostelo, a delegate, and then it goes on to talk about it right here if you see that. Uh basically the same stuff. Okay, and then the word study, Apollos, uh, it goes down to uh or apostolos or whatever. It says focusing back to the authority, the commissioning of the sender. Okay, so it it when it says an apostle, it's a it's uh it's a messenger sent from God to preach a gospel that has miraculous powers. Okay make sense. Then you just kind of go back and you can do that with the whole the whole uh verse. You can go down to see what the will of God is, an act or will, a wish, a desire. See? Wishes or desires, a determination, uh example, choice or inclination of God to the saints. What is a saint set apart for God, sacred, holy? Okay, so when you're a saint, we can just go here to Strong's again, a saint. So you are a saint as a believer in Christ. See? KJV, most holy one, a saint, saints, holy place, holy one, sanctuary, holy of holies. Right here, sacred, physically pure, morally blameless, religious or ceremony, ceremonial consecrated. So that's what you are. Amazing, huh? So you're basically physically pure, morally, and blameless or religiously consecrated. That's what a saint is. Isn't that amazing? And then if you go down here, there's kind of a word study, see? Hagios or saint. Holy for the believer, hagios means likeness of nature with the Lord, because we're different from the world. That's what a saint is. So, as a saint of God, our likeness of nature is with the Lord because we're different from the world. So you're called a saint because you believe in Jesus of Nazareth. Isn't that amazing? It really is uh wonderful when you get into the word of God and you start you start seeing who we, you know, who God really calls us to be. So just in that one verse, did you see all the information that we got just by digging into the original Greek of the strongs and looking at more the meanings of the words and things? Okay, so I want to encourage you with that, and let's go through Ephesians. Uh let's just go through Ephesians 1 and see kind of what where we're at here. Uh let's see if I can do this. Let me go back. Did I get oops? I didn't. Here we go. Sorry guys, I'm getting used to this. Um, all right, so so Ephesians 1, we read that already. Paul, an apostle of Jesus Christ by the will of God to the saints who are in Ephesus and are faithful in Christ Jesus. And then 1, 2, grace and peace to you from God our Father and Lord Jesus Christ. Grace to you and peace. Okay? So Apostle Paul is greeting you as a saint of God, right? He's greeting the Ephesians, a church, the church people. So he's greeting you as a saint of God, holy, set apart, the nature like Christ, because you're set apart from the world, you're holy, you're a saint. He's telling you by the Holy Spirit, grace to you and peace from God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ. So tonight, if you are, or if you're watching this and you get nervous that God's mad at you, or maybe you're afraid, you live in fear and anxiety, you don't know, you know, if how God's character towards you or his thoughts towards you. Well, remember, Apostle Paul, through the Holy Spirit, is telling you grace and peace from God and Lord Jesus Christ. Okay, grace and peace from God the Father and Lord Jesus Christ. And then he goes on praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has blessed us in the heavenly realms with every spiritual blessing in Christ. So you need to understand that you are already blessed by Heavenly Father in the heavenly realms with every spiritual blessing. And then if you read the NLT, it says, All praise to God, the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has blessed us. So you're already blessed because you believe in Jesus by grace through faith, right? Has blessed us with every spiritual blessing in the heavenly realms. And it adds, because we are united with Christ. So when you are a saint, you are united with Christ. We are united with Christ. Okay? So comfort yourself with the scriptures tonight. Just Ephesians, what is that? One, two, three? Yeah. I'm on Ephesians chapter one, verse three, and I'm already super encouraged. We are saints, we are set apart, we are one with Christ. We are uh God is speaking grace and peace to us, and we are blessed with every spiritual blessing in the heavenly realms in Christ because we're united with Christ by grace through faith. So those three, those three scriptures right there can demolish all that condemnation and that satanic fear that God is mad at you, that you're not perfect enough for God, that you're not sinless enough, that you just this struggles and keep going. It's not. Once you renew your mind on the truth, you have to renew your mind on the truth. So, like I can, you know, ministers can pray for you, pastors can pray for you. You can go to prayer meetings, you can have people lay hands on you. You know, people ask for prayer because they're racing thoughts or they're getting negative stuff in their brain or whatever. And you have to do something. You have to submit to God. You have to submit yourself to God. You have to submit, and that's surrendering. You surrender to the Lordship of Jesus, you surrender everything to the Lord, and you resist the devil. So when those thoughts come, those emotions come, and they try to tell you God's mad at you, or you're not doing enough, or you'll never be blessed, you have to take that thought captive to the obedience of Christ. You say, you know what? No, God speaks peace to me and grace because I'm united with Christ. I'm a son of God, I'm a daughter of God, see? And then you encourage yourself out of those places in your soul called strongholds. Okay? So a stronghold is set up through a lie, a trauma, through um maybe you know, somebody told you something when you were young. Maybe somebody was, hey John Davis, good to see you, brother, on YouTube. You know, so like thanks for stopping by. So these strongholds come in, these lies come in. And remember, the whole world lies under the sway of the wicked ones. So guess who's gonna tell you lies? The news, uh, the television, the apps, everything, everybody, there's so many lies in the world. And the only way you can keep yourself from all that is to believe the truth, is to submit to God and resist the devil. Start disagreeing with these things that are telling you these negative things. You're never gonna get anywhere, you're always gonna be angry, you're you know, you're just gonna be this lustful person forever, you're never gonna prosper. All these lies. You have to eventually say, you know what? My life is submitted to Christ. I'm one with him, and I just disagree with these lies. I am not agreeing anymore. Remember, the power of agreement is very strong. If you agree with a lie, how do you be free from it unless you disagree with it? Unless you resist and say, you know what? No. And when you agree with the truth, that's when you start transforming. That's when you start seeing breakthrough. When you start agreeing with the truth of who you are and what who God says you are, and what what uh, you know, all that good stuff. Okay, let's keep going. You guys with me? Ephesians 1, 4. For he chose us in him before the creation of the world. Amazing, huh? Think about that. God, in his foreknowledge, already chose us in him to be what? To be set apart. Remember, holy can mean set apart for God, and blameless in his sight in love. So let's look at the Greek there. Let's just let's just break it down, guys, so we can learn the truth of who we are and what God has done for us through Jesus Christ. The good news, right? For he chose, he chose, who chose you? Did you choose Jesus? You might felt like you did, right? You might you might have felt like you did. You know, because you did at one point, you agree, you know, you you had that grace hit your heart, right? You had that grace hit your heart, and then you responded to the gospel. But who truly knew you were gonna do all that anyway? Who chose you? It says he. Who's he? God. And what is what does it say? For he chose, for he picked out for himself. Think about that. Think how good Father God is that he picked you out for himself before you were even created. See, this is the good news, guys. The gospel, the word of God can set you free from feeling like an orphan, feeling like God doesn't love you, feeling like you're not special in his sight, that you know, that you don't have a calling on your life, that you're always gonna be mentally ill or dealing with sickness. Look what it says right here God picked you out for himself. Or picked out for myself because it's he chose. Choose, elect, selected. Amazing, huh? Isn't that amazing? He selected you when in him, in him, before, before, in front of, prior to what? The foundation. The foundation. It's okay, little Timmy. All right. We have uh somebody arguing outside my apartment. It happens. The foundation. I live in downtown Phoenix. Praise God. The foundation, which is what? Founding or figuratively, figuratively conception of what? The world. The world. To be, to exist, set apart for God. And blameless. Without what? Blemish. Unblemished. Faultless. In where in his presence before his face? In what? In resting in love. Guys, think about this. How are you blameless? If you think you are blameless because you're perfect, 24-7, in your flesh, and in your thought life, and how you interact with people and your character, you've got this whole thing wrong. You are blameless because of the precious blood of Jesus, the Messiah, because of the Lamb of God. You are now blameless and holy, set apart, united with Him. And you have the love of God in you. Remember, we didn't first love God. He first loved us. And that's how we can love God in return. You can't even love God with all your heart, soul, mind, and strength in yourself. Remember, Jesus said you must love the Lord your God with all your heart, soul, mind, and strength and your neighbors yourself. Remember that? Did you know that anybody in their flesh cannot love God with all their heart, soul, mind, and strength? And they can't love their neighbor perfectly? Did you know that? You have to be in the spirit. It has to come from God. See, this whole thing, guys, is about God living inside of you. Christianity is about a transformation of your heart and uh eventually your soul, your emotions, your mind, and then you manifest God's light and love on the earth. If you want to truly be somebody that manifests God's love, you have to start believing the truth that you are love before the foundation of the world, and that you have been set apart before the foundation of the world to be blameless and holy, set apart for God. See? All right, so let's go back. So I hope everybody's with me. Ephesians 4, uh 1, 4. See? For he chose us. Let's go back here. He chose, for he chose us in him before the what? The creation of the world to be set apart or to be holy. Saints, remember? Paul called us saints before, and it's the similar word, right? Set apart, holy, sacred, and blameless in his sight. So if you go back to Ephesians 3, or Ephesians 2, wait, Ephesians 1. To God's holy people. See? Let's go to the Greek. Paul Apostle Jesus Christ by the will of God to the saints, remember, set apart for God. Holy, sacred in Ephesus, the faithful. Those what? Believing. So those who are believing, faithful, trustworthy. They're trusting in God. They're trustworthy people. You know, they believe in God. They're faithful in Christ. See? So you're already this. You're already. Paul's Paul's saying to you that you're a saint. But the devil told you that you're not a saint. That you just have to work how hard, you know, you have to continue to work so hard. You have to be perfect all the time, or God's going to throw you in the lake of fire. That's what the devil tells us. He's always going to accuse you. What he's trying to do is take away your identity. He's trying to get you to identify with the world and what the world said about you before Christ, or what the world tries to tell you who you are. You have to understand you're a new creation. You are holy and blameless. When you start seeing yourself as apart from God, like apart from the world, that when you start seeing yourself as apart from the world and blessed with every spiritual blessing in the heavenly realms, blessed beyond belief in Christ, that you're united with Christ, that I was chosen or you were chosen in Christ before he founded the world to be holy, we're already holy. Ephesians 1:1 says it. We're saints and blameless in his sight. We're blameless because of the blood. See? Then it goes on. I mean, the good news is the good news, guys, we need to start teaching people the truth of who they are. You have Christ. If you're born again, if you have made that confession of faith and you have been circumcised in your heart, you are now born again. You are now seated in heavenly places. Start believing right, submitting to God, submitting to the truth, resisting the lies, telling you that you're always going to be sick or you're a loser or you're always going to struggle with the flesh or your personality issues or whatever. Start believing you're healed. Start believing that God, God's word is true. I'm a son of God. All right, so let's go. We're just going to do Ephesians chapter one tonight, guys. Look, God decided in advance to adopt us into his own family by bringing us to himself through Christ Jesus, through Jesus Christ. This is what he wanted to do, and it gave him great pleasure. Okay. It's a simple New Living Translation. Let's go down to King James. Having predestined us into the adoption of children. So we're adopted in the beloved, right? You're adopted in Christ. You've been adopted. Okay. Those are for this is for all those people out there that think you can lose your salvation at the drop of a hat, right? You do something, and then all of a sudden you've lost your salvation. Guys, you have been adopted. You have been adopted of children by Jesus Christ to himself, according to what? Your good behavior and how great you are and how hard you pray and you know all the uh sinless perfection you have. Or it's according to the good pleasure of whose will, God's will. So it's God's will that he what? Predestined us to be adopted. Let's go, let's go to the Greek real quick. Let's look at that. He predestined, let's see what that actually means to foreordain. So we already talked about how it was before the foundation of the world that he chose us, right? So, in a way, he's just basically saying it again. He predetermined, he marked out beforehand. See, this is why uh this is why you can start entering into rest. And when you start realizing that it's all about God's goodness, that he has chosen you before the foundation of the world to be set apart holy and blameless in love. He's already chosen you. Okay, if you're in Christ, you have been foreordained somehow. Let's go even deeper. Let's look into that. Let's go into Strong's right here. So it means uh uh to limit in advance or figuratively to predetermine or determine before, ordain, predestinate. Okay, and then it goes down to the word study, guys. I remember I'm not a Bible scholar, I'm just like a normal guy just reading the Bible in the Greek, original Greek. I'm trying to just explain it, what it's saying here, right? I'm not trying to make up a doctrine or anything, right? I'm just trying to read it in the Greek or the original and try to figure it out for myself and for you to help you and to show you how I do it. And so if you have a question about something, you can go in and dig in for yourself. Okay, so pre-prayozo before established boundaries, limits. That's another way of, you know, that's uh um another word for properly pre-horizon, predetermined limits, boundaries, predestinate, see predestinate. It contains six, it occurs six times in New Testament. It already means the root of it already means established boundaries, the added prefix before makeso perzo to pre-establish boundaries before creation. So pre-established where we're gonna be before creation in a way, okay? Does that make sense? So you have been pre-established before creation, predestined us. So that's you, right? Because he's writing to Christians, those who are born again, who are faithful in Christ Jesus, which is you, hopefully, amen. Uh for what adoption as his sons. Okay, the placing as a son. So tonight, what I want you to do, what I want you to do, tonight, I want you to just repent. I want you to just change your mind, right? Just open your heart and and just change your mind. Ask the Lord to just cleanse you from believing you're anything less than a son of God or a daughter of God. Just start cleansing your mind from thinking that you're this uh just this horrible person, or you're you're just this nominal person. You're adopted by God before the creation of the world somehow in Christ Jesus. Remember, God's outside of time. So, you know, you don't want to get into arguments about this stuff with people, right? You just want to uh get the revelation from the word, from the spirit, and then try to help people, guide them to understand that they are they're in, guys. You're in. See, you have to understand you're in, you're a son. Amen. Through Jesus Christ, so it's through who? Through you, through you, because you're such a great person? No, it's through a primary preposition denoting the channel of an act. So through Jesus Christ, through what he did for us, through him, okay, according, according to the good pleasure, satisfaction, delight, or kindness, wish or purpose. Okay, or purpose, see? Oops, see that purpose of his will, his wishes, his desires, his determination. So what Paul is saying here, in a way, I'm not going to try to tell you exactly what he's saying because I want you to get the revelation yourself. But if you can, what I see from this is that it's all about God. It's all about his goodness and God choosing us. Okay, it's about God choosing us, it's about him and his good pleasure. Amen. Him and his good pleasure. Okay, then it goes on, Ephesians 1.6. See, once you start getting off of yourself, you can start resting in the finished work of Christ. See, the problem is we have a lot of self in our Christianity, in our life. It's all about self. You know, if you look at anything in the world, it's all about self. How successful can I be? How strong can I get? How this or that. Now, when you start realizing it's all about Christ, it's all about God's will, it's all about being predestined by God, like God chose us somehow to be set apart for him because he loves us. It's his good pleasure to do that. We can start relaxing a little bit and resting in his goodness, start seeing the goodness of God in our lives. Wow, God, you're good. Amen. And you can take this belief into uh into your situation and remember, oh, you lost your job. Well, God, I'm a son of God, I'm a daughter of God. God's gonna work it out for me. Something's going on in your family, you know, uh the finances or you know, in wherever. You can just be like, wow, Lord, this is really, you know, it sucks, but you're with me. I'm a son, I'm a daughter. See, your life circumstances, it doesn't change who God made you to be at the cross. Amen. Or before the foundational world, he chose you. So Ephesians 1, 6. So we praise God for the glorious grace he has poured out on us, who belong to his dear son. To the praise of his glorious grace. His glorious grace, guys. This is what I'm trying to get. You need more grace. You need more grace. If you're struggling with sin, you need more grace. If you're struggling in your character, you need more grace. You just need to ask the Lord to help you surrender to his grace. Let's look this up to the praise, the approval, uh, the laudation, basically clapping or whatever, I think. Uh condemnation, uh, commendation, like an award, kind of like giving you praise or approval of what his glorious, his glory, uh, his grace, his graciousness of manner or act. Strong, let's look that up. What's that mean? Charis, it's grace, favor, kindness, blessing. It's graciousness, a manner of, especially divine influence upon the heart, the reflection of life, gratitude. Go down here, graciousness, a manner or act, uh, especially the divine influence upon the heart. So it's God, God gives us grace. He he influences our heart to respond to the gospel, influences our heart to seek him, he influences our heart to love our neighbors, ourselves. Okay, benefit, favor, gift, uh, all these things. Favor to pose, incline, favorable towards, lean to. So sometimes you have to look through it and kind of see the context of what it's at, what it's talking about. So it's preeminently used of the Lord's favor, freely extended to give himself away to his people. Okay. So used by the Lord's favor. So if you think of it, I think of it as God's gracious favor, undeserved favor, grace, okay? Which he has freely given. He has freely given favor, bestow freely, okay, in due with special honor to us in the what? In the beloved in Christ. Amen. I hope this is encouraging you. I'm gonna keep going here. Ephesians 1:7. In him we have redemption through his blood, the forgiveness of sins in accordance with the riches of God's grace. Then it goes on here. Another uh New Living Translation. He is so rich in kindness and grace that he purchased our freedom with the blood of his son and what? Forgave our sins. So when you come to the cross, you realize you have that revelation that you're a sinner and that you need forgiveness. You need the blood. The blood of Jesus forgives us of sin forever. Okay? Forever. It's a gift. And now you're blameless and holy, and now you need to walk in who God says you are. You're a saint, you're set apart, you're forgiven. So even if you're struggling, you need to start reminding yourself that you're gifted forgiveness, you're gifted eternal life. This is a gift. God loves you, and you'll see that you'll start climbing out of this mess you're in, or these uh thoughts, or these emotions you deal with, or the flesh stuff you deal with. When you start believing, you're actually forgiven. See, when we struggle with stuff we don't believe, we're forgiven. We start living in condemnation, and then we go back to that self-righteousness, and then that leads us to more bondage. You have to start believing the truth. Maybe just pick up Ephesians 1 and read it and remind yourself in him we have redemption through his blood. The forgiveness of what's it redemption mean? Let's just look at that word. Redemption. What is this word right here, guys? Ransom in full. Okay. Strong 29, 629. The act of ransoming in full. Okay. He paid, he ransomed, he bought buying back from purchase, repurchase you, winning back. So you've been ransomed. See, it's like the devil put you in prison, and then Jesus came and paid the price for you. Amen. He paid the price for you. So you've been ransomed. Thank you, Whitney. I'm not even, yeah, I'm not even, I don't even know if I'm even near uh Ephesians 2. It just is awesome, guys. You could just do this and we can just keep going. And you know, I'm not gonna do the whole uh, I'm just gonna finish one, I think. Uh but it just gets it when you start understanding and reading it in context and everything, you start seeing, wow, I'm really blessed. I'm really free, like I'm really delivered, I'm really forgiven. And see, once you realize God's grace and the forgiveness that's in Christ and that he has made you complete, you start realizing that you're like in a river. If you could just imagine you're just in this river of God's good pleasure, and he is leading and guiding you, even when you don't feel like he's there. He's taking you through the good and the bad, and he's working all things for your good. Okay, and when you get this perspective, then the things that attack your emotions or sadness, or it's easier to get through. It's easier to get through losing your job, or the economy goes bad, or maybe you know you lost somebody or uh somebody betrayed you, or whatever it is. It's easier to get through that stuff when you realize your position as a son or daughter of God. It's like a river, you're just floating with the river of the Lord. Okay, so no matter what happens in life, all things work together for good. Just read the book of Job. Amen. All right, so let's go, let's keep going. Ephesians 1:8. He has showered, so he has showered his kindness on us along with all the wisdom and understanding that he lavished on us with all wisdom and understanding. King James, wherein he has abounded toward us in all wisdom and prudence, which he lavished on us in all wisdom and insight. See? Then amplify. I like amplify, which he lavished on us in all wisdom and understanding with practical insight. See? Amazing, huh? Because the wisdom of God is Christ. Amen. Ephesians 1 9. Then he goes, He made known to us the mystery of his will according to his good pleasure, which he proposed in Christ. God has now revealed to us his mysterious will regarding Christ, which is to fulfill what? His own good plan. See, a lot of people think it's all about them. It's about God's plan. It's about God's plan. God is does not think like you, does not act like you, does not uh, you know, He He's He's He doesn't fit in your brain. And so think of God as a lot bigger than you. Think of the universe, doesn't even fit God. God created the universe, He's outside of time, everything. So get a different perspective when you think it's all about you and your behavior. Behavior and your struggles, and oh gosh, I got to work really hard to earn stuff from God. And you know, oh, uh, serving God's so tiring, and oh, going to church is tiring. You have to rethink what you're believing. You have to rethink what does the Bible say? The Bible says that it's not as if I loved God, first loved God. It was that God first loved me. Okay? God first loved you. You don't, you didn't love God. And then he's like, oh, uh Whitney or John or whoever's watching, right? Oh, oh, they love God. I'm gonna just show myself to that person. In fact, if you go on, I think it's in Ephesians, if you go on, it talks about how we were what? Dead in sins and trespasses. We were enemies of God by wicked works, by loving sin, by hurting others, by unbelief, being atheists, being whatever, right? Different new age or whatever, not worshiping Jesus. So we were enemies by wicked works. We were enemies in our mind. We are enemies of God. And when we are still enemies of God, God reconciled us by sending his only son. Okay. I feel the presence of God. Lord, we just worship you, Lord Jesus. We honor you. God Almighty, I honor you. I honor you, I honor your word, and I thank you that it transforms us. And I ask, Lord, that the people watching this would be transformed by your word and that you would minister, Lord. And I thank you, Lord, that your word goes forth with power. And I thank you, Lord. I thank you for that, Lord. I thank you that you have forgiven us, Lord, that we your mercy endures forever. That you heal us of all our diseases, you forgive all our iniquities, that by one sacrifice you have perfected forever those who have been made holy. Thank you that we're saints, we're set apart for you, Lord. We're blameless. Help us walk in that, Lord. Help us walk in that innocence and that purity. Help us, Lord, clean our minds. So it's all about the glory of God. It's all about Jesus of Nazareth. Okay. So it's not about you. It's not about how much you can get from God or how blessed you can be on this earth. And this is the plan. At the right time, he will bring everything together under the authority of Christ. Everything in heaven and on earth. Amazing, huh? Because remember, Adam gave his authority over to the devil, right? Lucifer, Satan, and the garden. And then Jesus came to bring everything together under the authority of Christ. Everything in heaven and earth. So he had to restore everything because there was rebellion in heaven. Then it goes on. In him we were also chosen. Then he goes, see, he says it again, having what? Been predestined according to the plan of him who works out what? Good and bad? Everything in conformity with the purpose of his will. So let's go to King James, in whom also we have obtained an inheritance, obtained an inheritance, being predestined according to the purpose of him who works all things after what? Works all things after the counsel of his own will. So these things in life, guys, you have to remember, like, so those things in life, these things that you can't, hey Amber, so these things in life that you can't explain. When somebody's like, well, why is there bad stuff happen to these people? And why does crime happen? And blah, blah, blah, blah, blah. Guys, God is beyond all this. There's some grandiose, amazing plan that God has, and it's all in Christ and through Christ. And we're not going to know it all probably until we get into eternity where it's fully revealed to us. Okay? But so sometimes you just have to let some stuff go. Sometimes you just have to say, you know what? God works all things after the counsel of his own will. Amen. He works all things to the counsel of his own will. Everything. See, down here, works all things according to the counsel of his will. All right. So let's go to Greek real quick. In him we are we were also chosen as God's own. Okay. You were chosen by assigned a lot, assigned a portion, receive a share. You were assigned. So you were assigned. You were you were chosen God's will, having been predestined. There's that word again, forordained, predetermined, marked out beforehand. Okay? According to what? The setting forth, the proposal, the plan of God, of whom works out to be active, efficient, basically works out active everything. So everything works out by what? The counsel, the deliberate wisdom, the decree, the purpose of his wishes or desires is will. Okay. So when you're going through something, step back. Okay? Step back and think, wow, you know, maybe God is gonna, you know, God is gonna work this out for the good, right? He will work it out for the good, but you want to remember that everything in the world, everything works out to the counsel of his will. And I don't know how this works, guys, because I'm just a human. But somehow there's this amazing plan God has for humanity in Christ. And so some things you just can't explain, and just realize, you know what, everything works to the counsel of God's will. I'm not gonna try to explain it. And then you can let it go. You know, well, Lord, why is this happening? Why is this war happening? Why is this happening? Well, everything's somehow working together for God's will. I don't know why. I don't know how. I don't know. You know what I mean? And then you can you can start to relax a little bit your mind. You start relaxing your emotions and just trusting that God is in control, that God is sovereign, God cares about his people, and he'll never leave you nor forsake you. You don't have to be afraid, okay? Ephesians 1.12. In order that we who were the first to put our hope in Christ might be the to the praise of his glory. God's purpose was that we uh Jews who were the first to trust in Christ would bring praise and glory to God. Uh I haven't seen that uh Jews put in there before, but I mean I I don't know how that works. It says, for us, the ones having first trust in Christ to be the praise of his glory, that we should be the praise of the glory who first trust in Christ, to the end that we were the first to hope in Christ would be the praise of his glory. So some things I don't understand, and that's okay, guys. You can, you know, in order that we who were the first to hope, okay, so we who first to hope in Christ would be for the praise of his glory. See? Amen. And I'm I don't do this to try to say I'm this grandiose teacher or this great man of God. I'm just trying to help somebody because I know there's a lot of people that are struggling. And if I can just help you study the word for yourself so you don't get deceived, because there's a lot of deception out there, um, so that you can overcome the things in your life, so you can learn your son or daughter of God, you can have some peace, receive deliverance, receive healing, uh, receive breakthrough. Then it goes on. And you also were included in Christ when you heard the message of the truth. Oh, it was, I think he was speaking of the Jewish people. And you also were included in Christ when you heard the message of the truth, the gospel of your salvation, when you believed, you were marked in him with a seal, the promised Holy Spirit. So King James, in whom you also trusted. After that you heard the word of truth, the gospel of your salvation, whom also after you believed, you were what? Sealed with the Holy Spirit of promise. Let's look that up real quick. And in him, having heard, so you listened, you heard, and believed, you had faith in Christ, you entrusted, uh, you entrusted the word um of truth in your heart, so you responded to God's grace, his word, the spirit working in you, of your salvation, the rescue of your soul. You were sealed, so you were set a seal upon to stamp for security or preservation. Okay. So back in the day, remember, you had the um you had the uh kings or the governors, they would have the wax seal. They were a ring, and there would be like a scroll, and there'd be a wax seal, and then they would close it with their ring. Okay, so imagine God doing that with you. Amen. And no one, no one can take you out of his hand, amen. See, you're sealed, you're stamped for security or preservation. Okay, you're sealed with what? The promised Holy Spirit, the sacred spirit of God, the Holy Spirit of God. Is that amazing? So you don't have to be afraid. You are sealed with the Holy Spirit of promise because you believe in Jesus. And then it goes on. Who is what? So the Holy Spirit is the deposit guaranteeing our inheritance. The Holy Spirit, who is the guarantee of our inheritance? So let's go here. So for all of you who are scared to lose your salvation, and oh, I'm sorry, I wasn't I wasn't on the right thing. There you go. Sorry about that. Okay, so so if you if you go here, um, sorry guys, I didn't have it on the right screen, I think. Who is the pledge or the guarantee, the part of the purchase money or property given in advance as security for the rest? So, for example, you pledge ten thousand dollars and then uh to get the the car or the house or whatever, right? So the Holy Spirit is the guarantee, the pledge of what? Our inheritance, our heirship. Isn't that amazing? It encourages me a lot. Praise God until the redemption, the ransom in full of those who are God's possession, the acquiring, obtaining possession, ownership to the praise of his glory. He's talking about the resurrection. Amen. So the the Holy Spirit is our guarantee, our pledge. We're sealed, stamped, remember? Sealed, guaranteeing our inheritance that's reserved in heaven for us, that we get the day of redemption on judgment day. We resurrect from the dead. Jesus is the what? The resurrection and the life. Those who believe in him, though they die, they shall live. Those who live and believe shall never die. So the Holy Spirit in your heart is that guarantee of the inheritance. See, it's it's very important that you understand you have the Holy Spirit. You need to understand the working of God is inside of you. When you confess Jesus as Lord and believe with your whole heart that God raised him from the dead, you shall be saved and you can receive the Holy Spirit. There's many people that are on the fence that they believe here, they're just not here yet. And you meet them all the time. They're a Christian by name, they haven't had a heart transformation yet. So we want to encourage people to submit to God, submit to the gospel. You know, get close to God. Sometimes I talk to people and I just tell them, you know, keep working on your prayer life, keep talking to the Lord, keep open up the Bible, read, right? Learn. Amen. Amen. Praise God. All right, so we're back here. So Ephesians 1:14. So our inheritance, our heirship, we're gonna be heirs of God through Christ. This is good news, guys. For this reason, ever since I heard about your faith in Lord Jesus Christ and love of all God's people, I have not stopped giving thanks for you, remembering you in my prayers. Paul sounds like such a nice person, doesn't he? I when I read his I used to read Paul's writings and you know, uh, and I used to be like, I used to be like uh uh, you know, I used to get scared because I would read it in the wrong mind. I'd read it through a works-based, self-righteous kind of mindset. And now I read it, I'm like, wow, he had so much love in him. And then asking God, the glorious Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, to give you spiritual wisdom. So he's asking God for us to have spiritual wisdom and insight so that you might grow in your knowledge of God, may give you the spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of him. See, you want more knowledge of Christ. You want to experience more of the Holy Spirit in your life. You want to experience more revelation knowledge. You want more wisdom that comes from the Word of God, from the Holy Spirit in you. And then I pray that your eyes of your heart may be enlightened, the eyes of your heart. Interesting, huh? That you I pray that your hearts will be flooded with light so that you can understand the confident hope he has given to those he called his holy people, who are his rich and glorious inheritance. So we are God's inheritance. Isn't that amazing? And Paul was praying that his glorious light would fill our hearts with the knowledge of God. Isn't that amazing? Guys, this is just Ephesians 1. I've been on this for an hour almost. Ephesians 1. We haven't even got done with Ephesians 1. We're not gonna do the whole thing tonight. Or we're gonna finish Ephesians 1, but we're not gonna do the rest. But this is just Ephesians 1. Look how great this is. This is amazing, guys. This is absolutely good news. Having the eyes of your hearts enlightened that you may be, you may know that you, he's talking to us. What is what? What is the hope to which he has called you? What are the riches of his glorious inheritance in the saints? And his incomparable great power for us who believe. That power is in the same as the mighty, the that power is the same as the mighty strength. I also pray that you will understand the incredible greatness of God's power for us who believe in him. This is the same mighty power that raised Christ from the dead, that raised Christ from the dead. He's talking about the Holy Spirit power that raised Christ from the dead and seated him in the place of honor at God's right hand in the heavenly realms. Far above where? All rule and authority, power and dominion in every name that is invoked, not only in the present age, but also in the one to come. He's talking about the greatness of the Lord Jesus Christ. And then it says, God has placed all things under the authority of who? Christ. So the disease you deal with, that's under the name of Christ. Mental health issues, under the name of Christ. Torment under the name of Christ. Finances under the name of Christ. Issues in your life, under the name of Christ. And has made him head over all things for the benefit of the church, which is his body. Guys, the church is God, is Jesus' body somehow. Okay, it's the body of Christ. So remember the Christians you meet, and you want to have good relationships with Christians. You want to forgive easily. You don't want to speak evil and negative of Christians, amen, people in general, but especially Christians, because it's it's Christ's body. Okay? So remember that, that those who are filled with the Holy Spirit, that have the Holy Spirit, that have the love of God, love the brethren as well. So you want to, you know, you know, do good when you know you meet people that are Christians in your church or whatever, and forgive them and walk in love towards them the best you can. And if you struggle with that, that's when you talk to the Lord, and he can help you, and he can uh uh transform you. Amen. Let's see if you can see this. Okay, so this is another thing. This is AI. It's called perplexity, and perplexity is uh basically kind of a research tool. Okay, so you can those aren't mine. I didn't do that. That's just I don't know, whatever. They're just showed up. Okay, so uh so like you could type in like uh in the Bible, what does predestination predestin mean in the original Greek? I spelled that wrong. So you could type that in, right? Just in perplexity AI. Like I said, you can use uh different things like AI and strong concordance and things, and the internet's good and bad. AI is good and bad, remember? So in the Bible, what does predestined mean in the original Greek? Let's see what perplexity says. Uh New Testament word translated is the Greek word paroseo, which literally, can you guys see this? Yeah, which literally means setting the boundaries or uh to decide or determine beforehand with the nuance of marking out, okay, or setting the boundaries of something in advance, the expresses the idea that God has beforehand set a goal, destiny, or outcome, especially regarding believers being conformed to the Christ adopted as children. Remember, guys, you you want to read stuff but uh and study. You don't want to take everything word for word. You want to, you know, if this start, you know, you want to read maybe from perplexity, also read uh the Bible hub and things like that. Okay. Uh but anyway, so this is kind of you can just you can see how it says how it's used, all that stuff. Amen. So God can uh use uh different tools, you can use different tools, and God can speak you through uh different avenues. Amen. So, yeah, so that's perplexia that sometimes I use for research type things. And it's it's helped me a lot because guys, really what happens is that we learn a lot of religion, we learn a lot of self-righteousness, we learn a lot of rules, and we learn a lot of man made stuff, and then we get confused, and then maybe we fall into sin, and then we feel like we're not good enough, and then we fail, or we get mad at somebody, and then we hate ourselves because of the way we acted, or wasn't Christian enough, or whatever. And we fall out of the identity as a son or daughter of God. So I want to help you. My whole goal is to help you let go of this old identity of sinner and walk in that newness of life as saint, as set apart, as a man woman of God. Even if you still struggle with identity stuff and you, all that stuff. I want to help you get out of your old mindset of offense and unforgiveness and trauma and poverty and all that stuff. You want to start walking in newness of life, experiencing the presence of the Holy Spirit, experiencing the love of God. See, when you believe correctly, you start realizing God's always with you, even when you don't feel him or hear him all the time. But when you are focused on the world system and all the stuff going on and your emotions and all the negative, and oh, you screwed up, and oh, somebody said this about you, oh, this at work, when you start focusing on the flesh, the realm of the flesh, then everything in your flesh manifests more. And you're not God conscious, you're not conscious, a conscious of Christ's sacrifice for you. If the devil can keep calling you a sinner and a sinner and you're a loser and you're an addict, and you, you know, you're just this, you're always gonna be this, you're never gonna get anywhere, you're not working hard enough, blah, blah, blah. You're never gonna be blessed. If you just keep, if the devil keeps throwing that at you and you keep eating it, then how are you ever gonna walk in in your new nature? So you have to decide to repent. You have to decide if you're gonna change your mind and believe what God's word said, but despite what it looks like, are your emotions. Okay. The emotions, remember, are part of your soul, and that part can lead you into sinful behaviors, can lead you into deception, can lead you into bad relationships, can lead you into holding on to grudges, to jealousy, all sorts of stuff. But when you start by the word of truth realizing that you died with Christ and you are now sealed with the Holy Ghost, you have a new nature, you have love and joy, and God calls you his son, you're adopted, then you can start loving people, forgiving people who offend you. Oh, they betrayed you. Okay, well, it kind of hurts. But you know what? God loves me. All things work together for his good pleasure somehow. See? Every guys, I remember when I went to that cult. I went to that cult uh years ago when I was a kid, 20, 22 years old, going to this cult. God could have sent an angel to stop the bus. I took a Grayham bus from Phoenix to Arkansas for this cult. God could God could have sent an angel to stop the bus, told me to get off. I slept on the bus. He could have given me a dream. He didn't. For some reason, that negative thing happened to me. That negative life experience, that horrible being brainwashed by a cult leader, feeling like God hated me, wanting to hurt myself, hearing voices, then eventually going mentally ill on the street. God knew all that was gonna happen. See, he already he already knew what you're gonna go through two years ago. He already knew it all. And when you realize this, God knows everything before it even happens, then you can rest in the finished work of Jesus. You can rest that God knows everything. Paul said, you know, all you know, he was uh you know, he went through all the tribulations, you know, all the tribulations, the afflictions, but God delivered him from them all. So at the end of your life, you could say the same thing. God delivered me from it all. Man, that was a rough five years of my life. I struggled. Oh, that was a rough time of my life. Oh, I lost that business. I oh, I missed out on that or whatever. But God got me through it all. And in the end, you can take that crown of righteousness that God's gonna give you at the because you believe in Jesus Christ. You can lay it at Jesus' feet, it's all yours, Lord. And Jesus, in the end, is gonna get all the glory for your life. He's gonna get all the glory for everything. See, but then other people are gonna come and be like, Oh Lord, I I went to Africa and I did missions trips, I went to Mexico and I fed homeless people, I built a church. And he said, I don't even know you. Who are you? Because they didn't have the Holy Spirit. They were self-righteous, they were doing works. There's nothing wrong with doing works, nothing wrong with works, but that's not what gets you into heaven. That's not what pleases God, like a sinner doing works is not pleasing God. And Lord, we will know the truth, and the truth sets us free. I thank you that Jesus is the way, the truth, and the life. I thank you, Lord, that you are faithful to all those who call upon you. And Lord, I thank you for filling us with the Holy Spirit of promise. Thank you for filling us to the brim. Lord, I pray, just like Paul prayed, that our hearts would be enlightened, that our that light would shine in our hearts, and that we would have a wisdom, we would understand the wisdom of God, the knowledge of God. I thank you for eternal life. Thank you for sealing us. Thank you that you have uh you have given us a guarantee of our eternal inheritance. Thank you, Lord, that as we grow closer to you, the world fades away. Thank you for helping us submit to you and resist the devil, helping us learn the truth, helping us pull down those strongholds, just driving out those devils in the name of Jesus, just telling those things to get out, to leave. Thank you, Lord. Thank you. We walk in freedom from sin. We don't have to practice sin, Lord. Thank you for that. Thank you that the chains are gone. Thank you that we're not addicts. Thank you, Lord, for healing our brains, the chemicals in our minds, our bodies, helping us walk in health. Thank you, Lord. Thank you for helping us with our emotions.
