Hello. This is uh Holy Ghost Television. This is Spirit Stream number fifty-one. Nick Grimsman here live in a little studio apartment here. I am uh so thankful because uh you know when the Lord I feel like the Lord put on my heart to do Holy Ghost television, and I thought my vision for it is big, right? But I started so small and it really touches my heart because this is Spirit Stream 51. And if you go back and watch number one, you can see how we've kind of grown in the uh uh the uh you know in the uh in like the lighting or the seating or whatever this is, the um the software, all that stuff, and it's growing small and steady, and it's exciting and it it really touches my heart because one day this is gonna be something really incredible. And I can always look back and be like, wow, look at where I started in this little studio apartment doing this Holy Ghost television spirit stream. So we're on spirit stream 51, Nick Grimson, like I said. Uh I haven't uh been on for a little bit because I was praying and asking the Lord if He wanted me to continue doing the spirit streams or do something else, and I felt like He wants me to keep going. So I'm gonna keep going. So let's let's start with prayer and then hi uh Amber. Good to see you. I switched up the chat box a little bit, so it's a little bit easier uh for more uh people to type in and stuff. The last one was a little big, so uh, you know, you could type, you know, I like it a little smaller so um people can type a little more in there for questions and things like that. So, Lord, we thank you so much. Um for everything good and bad in our lives. And I thank you for the times we feel that we're not getting anywhere, or the times we go through struggles, challenges, emotional stuff, family stuff, financial stuff. I thank you for every um opportunity to exercise our faith in the word of God. And I thank you, Lord, that you've never left me or others, you've never forsaken us, and you're always there for us, even if we don't feel your presence or hear your voice like we did in different seasons. I ask today, Lord, that you would draw people to this broadcast and that you would change minds and hearts through your spirit, through the word of God. I thank you for your love for the people uh that watch this and for all people. Um thank you for your love for me, and I thank you for blessing me with the ability to teach and preach. In Jesus' name, amen. You know, guys, if you really feel called to uh be a uh a teacher or uh uh preacher or to carry the gospel to you know missions fields and things like that, remember that you know if the Lord's really called you to it, you have been you have been uh uh blessed and entrusted with the um with the sacred gospel of Christ, like Apostle Paul said. He was entrusted with the sacred gospel of Jesus Christ. So you are entrusted with it. You're entrusted with this good news. Okay, you're entrusted with the good news. You know, the other day I was uh talking with someone, and uh this person, uh, you know, I don't know if they were open at the time really, but I didn't know if I would see this person again. So uh I said, you know, before you go, I want to uh, you know, I'm a preacher, so I want to pray for you. And the person's like, okay, that sounds fine. And then I said, and then also um I said, uh, all right, so I want you to always remember the gospel. And the gospel is, and I explained the gospel, really simple. Jesus came, lived a sinless life, fulfilled the law of Moses for us. He is the Messiah. He died on the cross for our sins, our transgressions. He died a criminal's death, and then he shed his blood as the atoning sacrifice for our sins and rose from the dead. And you know, it's simple, you know, it was it was a simple gospel, and uh, and that through faith in him, and he said that those who believe in him, right, uh, though they die, they shall live, and those who live and believe in him shall never die. And so I said those simple words of this individual, and the Holy Spirit came, and I started tearing up, and the person really felt the presence of God. Did I lead lead them to Christ that moment? Um did they say a sinner's prayer? No. Um, but I preach a gospel to that person, and I don't know if it was um, you know, I didn't really have the just anyway. Um, just remember that you can share the simple gospel, somebody a lot of times. Um, you know, I planted seeds, so just look at everything as planting seats, but a lot of times we complicate everything. You know, um, you know how many people I've talked to, like just waiters or waitresses or just people in general out in the community, and I just say, Have you ever heard the gospel? And you'd be surprised if people say no. I've never heard the gospel, or they've said, Oh, Jesus or something, and then you say yes, and then you just explain it very simply to them. Very simple. Remember, most people are very simple, you know, they're not all rocket science scientists, right? So uh I shouldn't say most people are simple. I mean like most uh people can, you know, it's easier to minister people when you make it simple. That's what I mean. And people can understand it if you just make it simple, the average person, right? And so remember that you can simply share the gospel with somebody. And when you lift up Jesus, when you share the gospel, the the Bible says the signs and wonders follow. People get touched by the Spirit, people get delivered, healed, saved, filled with the Spirit. All those things can happen when you preach Jesus Christ and crucified. We just complicate things. A lot of times you complicate things, I complicate things. I try to do this long, you know, arguing or not arguing, but like trying to like uh convince people also all you have to do is share the gospel, the simple gospel. And you know, it might not be that you think uh that did anything for the person, but you know, when I was young, I wrote about it in my book. Um, you know, I was 14, 15 years old, 15. I think I was 15. And I went into this little restaurant, I was depressed, and I skipped school, went into this restaurant, and this lady came in and said, The Lord told me to tell you Jesus loves you very much, and she walked out of the restaurant. And I sat there and then I started crying right there. I was 15 years old. I didn't get saved at that moment, I didn't get born again and get baptized in water at that moment. I still had a lot of stuff to go through in life until I finally got to the end of myself, right? Remember, uh, God wants you to get to the end of yourself. At the end of yourself is when you find Him. So if you're out there and you're watching this, uh your problem might be you just haven't got to the end of yourself. You're still resting on your own strength, you're still resting on your own righteousness, you're still resting on your own mind and all those things. You're still resting on yourself. So it's almost like uh when you're self-righteous and you rest on yourself, you've created your own God. You're God, right? You've made yourself God. And so you have to get to the end of that. You have to get to the end of yourself. And when you get to the end of yourself, that's when you find grace. And the law of Moses, remember, it's designed to lead you uh to the end of yourself, understanding that you can't be holy in yourself, you can't be righteous in yourself. And the law condemns you, right? It condemns you. Uh, if you've uh, you know, maybe you haven't committed adultery, as in the sense of, you know, uh sleeping with somebody uh, you know, that's not your spouse or whatever. But if you've looked at somebody with lust, you've already committed adultery with that person in your heart. See, so it goes deeper. So if you try to follow the law in a sense of being self-righteous, it's gonna lead you to realizing how much sin you actually have inside of you, how much uh your flesh wants to sin, how much junk is actually inside your soul, your mind, your emotions. And then you get to the end of that and you find grace, and then the Holy Spirit can uh come into your heart and start changing and rewiring you so that you're not like the old person, you become a new creation. Amen. So it's very uh very basic, really. You just get to the end of yourself. And a lot of us don't get to the end of ourselves, you know, in different areas of our life. Sometimes we hold on to stuff. There's areas in my life that I'm still asking the Lord to help me get to the end of myself in this area, and a lot of it's trusting. You want to, you know, you have to go through things and learn how to trust God, learn how to walk by faith. You know, I've been doing ministry a lot of time, a long time, and people call when they're they call our prayer line. I can put it on the screen right now. They call our prayer line, and they're struggling. They're they need prayer, which is fine. You know, a lot of times I pray for people who are lacking getting to the end of themselves. You know, you need deliverance. You know, deliverance is a big thing, right? Praise God, I was delivered from schizophrenia, got delivered from a lot of demons attached to me, a lot of devils, okay? They were tormenting me with voices, hallucinations, all these things. Uh, but I needed to learn uh truth. I needed to get to the end of myself. I could only do so much spiritual warfare in my own strength until I finally learned that I needed to surrender. I just needed to surrender the battle, I needed to surrender the torment, I needed to surrender the depression at the cross. I need to just surrender the emotions, the frustrations, the fear, uh, all the ungodliness. I needed to just surrender at the cross. And this is a process. You might have layers of things, right? Layers of things. And one thing might not be shown to you until you get through a layer. And then I've learned that like there's deeper layers. So, like, let's say you get delivered from rejection, and then you get delivered from some other stuff, and then a year or two later, rejection flares up again. You're like, what happened? Why is there still rejection in me? I don't understand. Was I ever delivered? Well, one, it could be rebuilt again because it's a stronghold, or two, there's just you had to get delivered or healed or whatever from one thing to now deal with another layer of these strongholds. So don't be surprised if you're walking with the Lord and something flares up years later, you're like, well, where'd that come from? It could be that it was it was hidden underneath another type of stronghold or emotional thing, or it doesn't flare up until you go through a certain situation. So you go through these life situations and then you deal with things that you didn't even know was there. So in reality, um your life situations are almost they're allowed, right? For some reason, they're not caused by God, but they could be allowed by our own choices, by our own sin, by people, whatever it is, however they happens, right? We all go through bad life situations, but you'll find that there's a deliverance through that life situation, right? So instead of looking at uh issues in your life as like, oh my gosh, I'm going through this, I'm not blessed, God doesn't love me, oh my life is over, oh, the diagnosis, whatever it is, look at it as an opportunity for the Lord to maybe show you something about your soul, show you something about your belief system, show you something about how he's strengthening your faith. A lot of this is strengthening your faith because remember, your faith is more precious than gold and it's tried by fire. People don't really want to hear this, guys. They want to hear that you're just gonna have a million dollars and you're gonna live in a mansion and drive a Ferrari, all right? But you know, if you've if if you've been born again, you no longer live, it's Christ that lives in you. And what does he want to do with you? He wants to form himself inside of you. Let's just be real. Christ wants to form himself inside of you and to give you the character that he has, which is love and joy and peace and kindness and gentleness and goodness and self-control. That is the fruit of the spirit. And if you're lacking these things, just means you're immature and you in the faith, you're just immature in your understanding, and in your growth, maybe you were uh uh you were uh uh you you you grew you you were uh stunted in your growth. Maybe you went to a church that was very hard on you, and you always felt condemned, so you always struggled with condemnation and all that stuff, right? Uh so that you know there's different levels, you know, you have to get out of being a baby, out of your diapers, right? And it takes time. It takes time to grow from being a baby Christian to being a toddler to being a you know a teenager to being uh an adult to being a mature, fully grown Christian. This takes time, and all the things you go through can be used, can be used, right? Some of the stuff you go through, you just chose to do it, and now you just have to deal with the the issues, but God can still restore you, right? If you surrender. Um, so all the stuff though can work for your good and can mold you and transform you. You know, some people end up in prison, right? They end up in prison, they go to, you know, they they do, you know, they they grow up in a bad lifestyle or whatever, and they end up in prison when they're 20 years old, they're there until they're 30, let's say. And they get out, and that some people will tell you that God used that experience uh to mold them and to to uh you know reprove them and uh to chasten them so that they can be the man or woman of God they're supposed to be. So you're called to be a mature son of God or daughter of God. That's what your calling is, and your your pressure right now that you're going through or that you have gone through or you will go through is designed to get Christ more formed inside of you. So look at the things that you go through as an opportunity to exercise your faith and to overcome the strongholds that have been built inside of you from the world system. The world system, remember, is always lying to you. It's always gonna tell you a bunch of lies. It's always gonna try to give you a bunch of formulas, it's always gonna try to get you to chase idols, it's gonna get you to fan have fantasies of grandiose things or all this stuff. It's gonna get you off the focus of what? Surrender. It wants you to stay alive, it wants you to continue to live and to forget that you were crucified with Christ, you were buried with him in baptism, and now you're risen to newness of life. You are a new creation. And so say that with me. I am a new creation in Christ. Amen. I am a new creation in Christ. Old things, everything from one minute ago on is gone. Okay, you know, or one second. Everything in my past is gone. I'm a new creation, I'm moving forward past that. That's why Paul said, I'm still not yet perfected. So perfection comes when win when we resurrect in our new bodies. Okay, that's when you're gonna be perfect, sinless, uh, completely uh never again have any tears or pain or uh sin or evil or anything when you resurrect, and everybody that has their faith in Jesus Christ and has been circumcised in heart through the Holy Spirit will resurrect to eternal life. That is the promise of God. Um, it is uh impossible for God to lie, and so you are born again, right? You're born again in your spirit, you have been uh circumcised in your heart, so you have a new heart and a new spirit. You have been somehow, there's an uh the Holy Spirit is in there with your spirit somehow, however, this works, and then you are born again, and you have a new heart as well. So if you feel in your heart you hate someone, I hate that person, that's actually not really a true feeling or emotion from your new nature that's uh programming from your emotions, your soul, right? So it'd be like uh it'd be like a belief system. Let's say you know you start believing you hate somebody or they traumatize you or hurt you, and then this feeling is like a stronghold and it and it reinforces itself through what condemnation? You feel bad because you feel like you hate this person, uh, you uh maybe you feel like you're justified for hating that person, um, whatever it is. And I know people have been through horrible things, and I'm not downplaying that. I'm just saying in general, that feeling of hatred that somebody holds on to is part of the world or part of their flesh part that's crucified with Christ. It's not really them, but you get deceived inside your mind through lies, through the world system, through watching a bunch of stuff that's not uh, you know, telling you the truth, right? A lot of social media stuff, all that stuff. So you start believing all these lies. Oh, it's all right to hate this person, or I'm so traumatized I can never forgive that person. What happens? You start believing you can't forgive somebody. What happens if you believe you can't forgive somebody? Guess what happens? You start actually not being able to forgive people. And then what does the devil do? Well, you're you're you have unforgiveness, you're not forgiven because you have unforgiveness. So, what he does is he'll use uh words that Jesus said to uh law-abiding Jews to teach them that there's no way uh to be uh righteous in yourself 100%, and they needed Jesus, need to come to themselves. Okay, so if you want to walk under the law, if you don't forgive people, then you're uh then your Heavenly Father won't forgive you. Why? Because you can't forgive people 100% like God can. Jesus, when he was dying on the cross, he had people mocking him and spitting on him and blood pouring out of him and in immense pain. His beard was pulled out. You know? I don't even know if it's I mean, eyeballs don't count as uh bones, so his eyeballs could have been pulled out. I don't even know. Okay? It says his visage was worse than any man. You couldn't even tell it was a man on the cross. It's like a piece of meat up there. And he cried out to God, forgive them, Father, for they know not what they do. So Jesus through you can forgive those people that hurt you. Jesus through you can forgive your parents or that family member that hurt you, or your your ex-spouse, or whatever Jesus through you. So if you struggle with unforgiveness, you need to just come to the end of yourself and realize that Jesus can forgive those people through you. And all you have to do is surrender those emotions, those feelings, those thought processes to the word of God, to the truth that you're free in Christ. See, and then you walk free from this stuff. It that works with anything, and so deliverance comes through encountering truth, either by you know, you encounter the Holy Spirit and you get delivered from something, or you encounter the word of God and you get a revelation, and then these strongholds just kind of peel off of you. Some of you might have already got deliverance, just listening to this. See? And you start feeling better, you're like, okay, I understand now. See, if you can understand, you're in the spirit. You're in the spirit. And if you can just stay there, then all the stuff that tries to torment you or cause depression, discouragement, fear fades away. It loses its hold. Once you realize, like if somebody's struggling with looking at things on the internet, right? They're struggling with it. You know, I'm a man, so I meet men all the time talk about this stuff. I was once in a sauna at a gym years ago, and there's these uh three men in there, and they were, you know, in their 20s, probably, uh, mid-20s, whatever. They're talking about their uh what they learned at their church group, it was a men's group about looking at ungodly images, how to overcome it. They were talking about it. I was like, oh wow, they just start talking about it. So I started talking to them about how it's very important that you don't take identity in a sinful behavior. If you know it's wrong and it and you feel bad about it, guilty, um you you need not take identity in it. Because once you start taking identity in it, then you it empowers it because you think it's you. How do you disconnect from something that you think is you? And so it goes with anything. If you struggle with finances, if you struggle with health, if you struggle, you don't want to take identity in the diagnosis or in the situation, because then it becomes part of you. You take it on. So if you take on the identity of I'm an addict to things on the internet, guess what happens? It empowers it, and condemnation comes and makes it stronger. And when I was talking to these uh young men, the light bulb went off on one of them and said, Wow, that makes so much sense. We all sit around and talk about the struggle and how hard it is, and how you know being a man is so hard, and and the and the feeling of the lust and all this stuff. I just got it. We disconnect from that realm and we learn what? That we're dead. We died to sinful behaviors, and then the doesn't mean you're gonna be sinless all the time, it means you sinless. So you start growing and you realize, wow, I'm not addicted to that. I don't need to do that anymore. It goes with overeating, it goes with whatever it is. You can stop taking identity in it and don't condemn yourself while you're walking free from it. Because you are the righteousness of God in Christ Jesus, so you're always righteous. So the spirit is always telling you that you're righteous. Your flesh and the world is always going to tell you that you're this horrible sinner that can never get over these issues or these traumas. Another thing, people go to counseling and therapy for years, guys, years and years. I'm not mocking therapy or counseling, but it has to you have to get to the place where you start believing that you're healed in Jesus, so you're delivered because of his blood. See, Jesus' blood is enough for you. That's why the gospel is so important for you to hear over and over that Jesus died on the cross for your sins and he rose from the dead to give you hope for eternal life. That Jesus took the beating, the punishment, everything for you, for the penalty of your sin, everything. Your sin is gone as you put your faith in Jesus Christ. Your sin is gone. You have to understand this. Your sin is gone. As far as the east is from the west. That's how far the Lord has removed our transgressions from us. Your sin is gone in Christ. You have eternal life. It's the truth. That is the truth, and that is the power of God. That is the power of God that saves people. The power of God unto salvation. The gospel is the power of God into salvation. You're saved through the gospel, you're delivered and healed and forgiven through the gospel. You know, you how many people read all these books? Hey, I write books. I get it, right? There's tons of books. You could you could read about spiritual warfare for the rest of your life. There's tons of books. They sell well. People love the prayers on some. Hey, pray. I love prayer. Pray, do spiritual warfare, whatever you want to do. But I'm taking, I want to go to the higher level where I believe who I am in Christ. I died. That all principality power were defeated by the Lord Jesus Christ, and it's all about his blood and his resurrection. Everything. And I surrender all the fear about the principalities and all the curses and all this stuff that they're trying to peep that people still think is all on us, and we got to do all this stuff. But in reality, it's surrender. Your answer is surrendering to the Lord Jesus Christ, 100%. Full surrender. Start believing you died with Christ. You died with Christ. Your life is now hidden in Christ Jesus, and that you are forgiven for everything forever. One time, one sacrifice, forever. Jesus is the Messiah. Jesus is Lord. And no weapon formed against you can prosper. So what does that mean? If no weapon formed against you can prosper, that means spiritual warfare is taken care of by who? You? Because you pray hard. No, it was taken care of at the cross. Jesus disarmed the principalities and powers, making a show of them openly, defeating them. Jesus defeated all these principalities for you. So it's about the gospel, it's about the power of God, which is the gospel, right? Unto salvation. So you are saved by the blood, by the resurrection, by faith in Jesus of Nazareth. One sacrifice has been perfected forever. By one sacrifice, the Lord Jesus Christ, you have been perfected forever. Now walk with that. Start believing it. See, you have been perfected forever. So you're trying to get favor with God. I want favor with God. I need favor. I'm going to pray for you to have supernatural favor of God. Guess what? Jesus lives in your body. Do you think you have spiritual favor or uh uh uh uh extra favor of God? Do you need to pray for extra favor of God or do you need to believe that Jesus lives in your body and you're a joint heir with him to the throne of God? See? Jesus is an heir of God. We are an heir with Jesus to God, so you have favor already. It's like it's just like you have to start believing correctly. And I know people, you know, you want to hear all this other stuff, but I'm just giving you the gospel truth here. It's very simple and easy, but the world tries to tell us all this stuff that we have to complicate things with all these different prayers and all this stuff. Fine, fine, pray. I'm sorry. I just see a lot of things about spiritual warfare prayers and praying like this and doing this and and warring and all that. Okay, well, I'm just gonna sit back and believe that it is finished. That's what Jesus said. I'm gonna believe that Jesus' struggle on the cross and crying out in agonizing prayers in the Garden of Ghessene. I think I pronounced that right. Him being beaten, wounded, the whipping he took, the testimony he had before Pilate, where he could have called down legions of angels. Where he carried the cross until he couldn't carry it anymore. Then the uh uh the one man came, I forgot his name all of a sudden, or sorry. Uh Cyrus, no. Anyway, the one man came and helped him carry the cross. I'm gonna believe that Jesus is enough. Are you believing that Jesus is enough for you? Or are you trying to add to the gospel your own self-effort? Yes, pray, yes, seek the Lord, but do it in faith. Believe that God's already delivered you from every demon. Start believing that the devil can't hold on to you. Stop agreeing with the devil, submit to God, resist the devil. Disagree with those emotions that tell you to hurt yourself, disagree with that offense that tries to get you to hold grudges against your family members. Let go of striving in the world and strive to know the Lord. Strive to know the Holy Spirit. That's my prayer for you. My prayer that you would strive to learn the love and the compassion and the mercy of Almighty God. That's that's my prayer for you. I want you to know, Father God loves you and that you're safe, and that no matter what diagnosis, no matter what the psychiatrist says, no matter what, Jesus is there for you. I was once in a uh mental uh mental health clinic, and the psychiatrist was this old lady, uh, very old, probably at the time I thought she was like 90. I remember sitting there and she told my mother and I that I was gonna be, you know, I was always gonna take medications for the rest of my life. She she diagnosed me paranoid schizophrenic or whatever years ago, 20-something years ago. I wrote about it in my book. But this person gave me a death sentence. You'll never work, you'll always live with your mom, you'll never have a family, you have to take you know these eight, ten medications every day for the rest of your life, you'll always be in mental health care. This person gave me no hope. It was like a death sentence. But guess who is sitting in the room with me and my mom and the psychiatrist? My savior. My savior sitting there. So if you have to go get a blood test, or you got to go talk to your doctor, or you got to go talk to the banker because your mortgage is late, remember that Jesus is sitting with you. Jesus Himself, through his spirit, lives in you and he's always with you. He doesn't leave you. You got to get that out of your head. God's not leaving you anytime. He doesn't promise and guarantee you eternal life and then turn around because you make mistakes or you're immature and you you run off and do dumb things. You'll get chastened, or you might end up in trouble, but he's always there, he's always trying to bring you back to what? Like I said in the beginning, surrender. Surrendering. Amen. So sometimes I get on here a little long, uh, but it's uh because it's something I enjoy doing. So, Lord, thank you so much that uh Lord that you're just so faithful. I pray that people receive healing today in their bodies, Lord. Uh, not by their self-effort, not by trying to figure out uh what's wrong with them or the uh all that stuff, Lord. Because I know a lot of people struggle with autoimmune things, uh sicknesses, they uh feel like they never go away, allergies, uh pains in their body. Um people struggle with being overweight, Lord, as I have uh struggled with. And I thank you for helping me and others, Lord. And I thank you, Lord, for humility that we can be humble before you. And I ask, Lord, that you would uh just heal bodies today. I lifted up the name of Jesus, and I pray for miracles to take place that uh someone out there would feel the presence of the Holy Spirit and that they would receive healing in their in their bodies, in their minds, that their minds would be restored and their their souls, Lord, you know, like their their emotions, that their emotions would just come out of agreement with negativity. And uh, Lord, I thank you for those uh times in life where we feel like we're stuck in a jail. Thank you for those. Where we spiritually feel stuck, we feel stuck uh financially or in relationships, we just feel stuck. Because Lord, those are the times that you're working something beyond anything we could dream. Thank you for changing us by your spirit, helping us move from glory to glory. Thank you, Lord, that one day we will meet you in the sky on resurrection day, on the return of the Lord. Uh let's see here, Lord. Well um, let's read the book of Acts. Let's go here and see if I got this open. All right, let's go on. Uh let's just read the book of Acts, uh, chapter one. Let's go there. How am I doing this? Um actually. Nope, I'm going to Psalm 91, my favorite psalm. All right, so thank you, Lord. I was doing something uh I was going through something the other day and I was talking to the Lord. You know, just because somebody uh you know um share, you know, shares a gospel or they're a pastor or preacher or whatever, doesn't mean that they don't go through stuff. A lot of times, um, you know, they don't they they don't hide it, they just don't share it publicly what they go through, right? So I don't I don't you know share everything I go through all the time, but uh but Psalm 91 years ago I was in a mental hospital in Nashville, um, and it was the most weirdest thing I've ever been through my whole life. Uh it was 20 something years ago now, but I was hearing voices and I was in there for observation. You know, they put you in a mental hospital for observation, you know, like a mental health care place. And there were the weirdest hallucinations I could ever. Nobody would believe me if I told you half the stuff, but like imagine uh books floating through the mental hospital, um people saying stuff to me, the radio talking to me. It was just really scary, people manifesting, it was just really weird. So, anyway, when I was there, I opened up Psalm 91, and that's when Psalm 91 became uh my favorite, uh my favorite uh passage, scripture or chapter, Psalm 91. I believe it was written by Moses, they say, I think. Don't quote me on it. Um, those who live in the shelter of the most high. So that's the uh New Living Translation, those who live in the shelter of the Most High will find rest in the shadow of the Almighty. Uh King James, he that dwells in the secret place of the most high shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty. Let's go into the Hebrew. Let's see what this actually means, right? Because that's always fun. We'll just break this down a little bit. He who dwells. So somebody that sits down, remains, settles, marries. Interesting, huh? To marry. All right, in the shelter, covering, hiding place, secrecy. Okay, he who is covered or dwells in the covering of the most high, the supreme, will stay permanently in the shadow of the Almighty. Think about that. Did you just get this, guys? It's not that difficult. Look what it says. Just break it down. He who sits down, dwells, marries, uh, remains in the covering, in the hiding place. So let's just read it like this He who sits down in the covering of the Supreme, of the Most High, will stay permanently in the shadow of the Almighty. Is that you? If you're born again, that's you. Think about it. That's a born-again person, right? You know, I used to think that was somebody who was uh who was really, really close to the Lord, who prayed 12 hours a day, which you know I've I've done my prayers, right? I could pray in in the spirit 24 hours, I've done it 24 hours one time. Used to do it 10 hours a day, I've done it 10 hours a day, eight hours a day. Okay, so I can pray a lot, and so I used to think it was people who pray a lot, but if you read this, it's basically somebody that dwells in the uh the covering, the hiding place of the most high. They dwell under the covering of Jesus, and they stay permanently with the Almighty in his protection. Isn't that what it kind of says? I mean, kind of does. I don't know, different ways to look at this, but as a born-again Christian, this is how I see this. Okay, I see that you can dwell, you as a believer, we dwell where permanently, permanently in the protection of our father. So when I was in the mental hospital, when I was a baby Christian, struggling with voices and things, I wasn't praying all the time like I used to when I, you know, when I when I was real zealous and felt like I had to be on fire all the time or I was gonna go to hell, right? You know, you go through seasons, you you you learn things from God, you learn things through experiences. There's time and place for praying a ton, and there's time and place for resting. Okay. All you know, it's just the different seasons. But when I was in the mental hospital, I wasn't somebody that prayed all the time. I was a baby Christian. But I was still covered in Psalm 91. So rethink this a little bit. I know some of you probably read this and go, oh, I don't pray all the time. I'm not really that close to God yet. Psalm 91 doesn't count for me because you've heard that before. People say that. But I read this as somebody that's born again, that's permanently sealed by the Holy Spirit. A child of God. Amen. Psalm 91, too. This I declare about the Lord. He alone is my refuge, my place of safety. He is my God and I trust him. Lord King King James, I will say of the Lord, he is my refuge and my fortress. My God in him I will trust. See what that says. I will say of the Lord, you are my refuge, you're my shelter. And fortress. Fastness, a net. Let's see what that is. Strong 4686. Castle, defense, fortress, stronghold. Strong place. A castle, defense, fortress. Strong place. Okay. So even when I was in the mental hospital and I wasn't didn't feel that close to the Lord, right? I was a baby Christian hearing voices. He was my what? He was my stronghold, my fortress, my God, in whom I trust. I was confident in him. Sure. So say that today. Lord, you are my refuge. You are my shelter and my stronghold. I trust in you. Amen. So when you read the scripture, you know, people just read. And that's fine. You're reading, you're learning. But sometimes you just you want to really uh exercise your faith and and believe when you you know quote scripture when you're saying your prayers. You want to really believe. You want to see it and believe it as you pray it or you declare it. You can declare scripture 24-7 if it's in unbelief and and fear and all that stuff. What is it doing? It's like canceling out your prayers, pretty much, right? So you want to come from a place of faith, and that that doesn't mean you hear if you're feeling it. So we've been programmed to live in our feelings all the time. Instead, read it and believe the truth. Just choose to believe. Lord, I don't feel, but I choose to believe that you're my shelter and my stronghold. Okay, and then what does he say? Surely he shall deliver you from the snare of the fowler and from the perilous pestilence, and he will rescue you from every trap. Okay. So what is God going to do for you as a born-again Christian? That as you surrender to him and you believe the truth, what's he doing? You're in a shelter, he's rescuing you from every snare, every trap of the enemy. And what does he do? Protects you. Protects you from what? Deadly disease, deadly plagues, deadly pestilence. Okay, so God doesn't lie, so we want to believe the truth. That God delivers you from deadly pestilence, from deadly disease, from plagues.

Believe the truth. And so when they say there's a plague outside, what are you gonna do? You're gonna freak out? You want to use wisdom, right? But you want to trust your heavenly father that he delivers you from deadly disease and plagues, just the way it is. Why? Because you're just you're this ultra Christian? No, because he can't lie, he doesn't lie to you. Like God doesn't lie to you. It's impossible for God to lie. So you're born again, you're a joint heir with Christ, who is in your heir with Christ unto God. And so start believing that you have eternal life, you're saved, you're healed, you're delivered. God loves you, that Jesus took care of all the curses, family, family curses, DNA stuff. He did it. Just because it's not instant, you went to the conference, you went to your pastor for prayer, it didn't happen instantly. Then believe that it could be a recovery. And God will teach you through the recovery. What's he teaching you? Lots of stuff. Praise God. He's always teaching you. Why? Because a good father teaches his children. Amen. He teaches you right from wrong, he teaches you the way you should go. Psalm 91:4. He will cover you with his feathers. So it's talking about what? Like he's an eagle in the air or uh, you know, a bird that covers it, covers the eggs or the chicks with the feathers. Jesus talked about that with Jerusalem. Remember? In the Gospels, it talks about that. How Jesus cried over Jerusalem and said how he wanted to uh you know gather them together, like uh, I think a hen with his chicks or something like that. Okay, I'm not quoting exactly. All right, so New King James, he shall cover you with his feathers, and under his wings you shall take refuge. So his truth shall be your shield and buckler. Let's check that out. So we're only Hebrew here. So he'll cover you like a screen, he'll fence you in, he'll protect you with his feathers under his wings. You will find refuge. So that's a type of a bird or an eagle or whatever, right? You will find what? Protection to confide in. You will be able to confide in him. His what? You will find refuge. His faithfulness, stability, his certainty, his trustworthiness, his truth is a shield. Okay? So what is you a shield that you have? A shield and a rampart, which is something surrounding the person, like a big shield. It's like a giant. Like imagine you have this giant shielding around you. What is the shield and what's around you? It's his faithfulness. See? Whose faithfulness? Your perfection, your great works, and how you're so righteous and holy in yourself. His faithfulness protects you. So if you're worried about demons or you're having weird stuff happen in your family, or you feel like you're dealing with curses and you're trying to do all spiritual warfare prayer, turn to Psalm 91. He is your shield and your cover and your rampart. He's got this shield wall around you. Why? Because his faithfulness is that not you. So you got to get off yourself to truly find the end of yourself, right? And to rely on the word of God wholeheartedly with your heart, not with your brain. You know, your brain's good, but you want to wholeheartedly with your heart rest in the truth of his faithfulness to you. It's his faithfulness to you that he endured the cross. It's his faithfulness to you that he bled for you, that he forgave those that were killing him. It was his faithfulness that he went to the grave for three days. His faithfulness that rose him from the dead for you. So it's his faithfulness. When you don't feel faithful, remind yourself it's his faithfulness that keeps you safe. It's his faithfulness that you're not destroyed. It's his faithfulness. Amen. And then once you start realizing this, you start changing. See, you want to change from glory to glory. And you do that by truth, by his spirit. Amen. Hope this is encouraging you. It's encouraging me. I'm encouraged. So that's wonderful. Psalm 91.5. Okay, then it says, you will not fear the terror of night nor the arrow that flies by day. You will not be afraid of the terror by night or the arrow that flies by day. Okay. We kind of get that right. So if there's weird stuff going around in your city, uh rumors of wars, all that stuff. Okay. Arrows, could be weapons, spiritual weapons, could be physical weapons. Psalm 91, 6. Nor the pestilence that stalks in darkness, nor the plague that just okay, again with pestilence and plagues. So he says it twice. He says it twice in Psalm 91. Diseases, plagues, pestilences. You're safe from those because you're a child of God. You believe in the Messiah. Amen. Then this is wonderful. A thousand may fall at your side, and ten thousand at your right hand, but it shall not come near you. So what are you scared of? Though a thousand may fall at your side and ten thousand at your right hand, what is this area here? No harm will come near you. So if you're afraid, let's say you live in a bad neighborhood, or you got to get on a bus with a, you know, interesting individuals, or maybe you live in a country that's, you know, going through a civil war. I don't know where you're at watching this. It says, though a thousand may follow your side and ten thousand at your right hand, no harm will come near you. Why? Well, go back a little ways, and it says that it's his faithfulness that protects you. Okay. Psalm 91.8. You will only observe with your eyes and see the punishment of the wicked. Okay, so you will you you can see what happens to these people. We're gonna see it. If you say the Lord is my refuge, and you make the most high your dwelling, okay? Because you have made the Lord, who is my refuge. So I believe it's Moses talking. I think it's Moses who I might be misquoting, but I think it's Moses who wrote this. Who is my refuge, even the most high, your dwelling place? Okay, made the Lord, so because you have made, you have put the Lord in your dwelling place, abode, the retreat, okay, my refuge, the most high. So it goes, the Lord, your dwelling, my refuge, most high, your dwelling. So Hebrew goes backwards sometimes, like uh the other way. So the Lord, the most high, my refuge, your dwelling, my refuge, your dwelling. So you made him your abode, okay. But in the New Testament, Christ made us his abode, right? Christ lives in us, which is amazing. Okay, for you have made the Lord my refuge and most high your dwelling place. So you live with the Lord through faith in Christ. No harm will overtake you, no disaster will come near your tent. No evil shall befall you, nor shall any plague come near your dwelling. Another place, no evil will befall you, and no plague will approach your tent. Again with the plagues, okay, or the sicknesses, disasters, no evil will conquer you, no evil shall be allowed to befall you. Okay, so even if stuff happens to you, God always makes a way of escape. For example, I was in a cult 20-something years ago, being brainwashed by a real cult leader, by a real cult leader, and God saw me, and God eventually got me out of it. So you could be in a bad situation, but it's not gonna conquer you, he's gonna get you out of it. Why? Because he commands his angels, for he will order his angels to protect you wherever you go. I went to uh I go overseas. So let's say I was I've been in 50 countries. People ask me, you know, I went to Pakistan for crusades or uh ministry in Pakistan, Africa, different places. People ask me, oh, do you take intercessors with you? Do you have intercessors going with you? Because you know the spiritual warfare is so tough, you know, oh, that danger and all stuff. No, I actually have Psalm 91. For he will order his angels to protect me wherever I go. Okay, so if you're afraid to go somewhere, let's say you've been called doing missions work somewhere in uh foreign country, maybe and you're scared to go, or maybe you're dealing with fear or anxiety, maybe start believing that God protects you wherever you go. Maybe you get out of work at night, and you know it's kind of scary where you were, you know, going out to the parking lot at night or whatever. Well, remind yourself, Psalm 91:11, for he commands his angels concerning you, guards you in all your ways, he guards you, he protects you through his angels. So you have angels. You have angels. Okay, we're not supposed to worship the angels or sit there and talk to them all day. We're supposed to focus on Christ in us, the hope of glory, Christ Jesus, Father, God, Holy Spirit, right? The angels are there to protect us. One time I was walking years ago, I was uh praying in the Spirit, and uh I was talking to the Lord about like uh something, and I felt like I just had like a quick vision of all these angels around me. I didn't I don't know what really they looked like or anything like that. It was just kind of like a quick vision, like where I sensed or however, I felt like I had all these angels around me. I couldn't believe how many there were. So, in the same way, you, your children, your house, you instead of believing your house is demonized and you gotta put oil everywhere and got to break the curses off your property. You want to start believing that God's word says that he gives his angels charge over you. So you have angels guarding your property, you have angels guarding your children, you have angels guarding you wherever you go, he protects you wherever you go. That's what Psalm 91 says. When I was in that mental hospital, because I was a born-again Christian, I believed in Jesus my whole heart. I truly believed in him, even though I was listening to voices and hearing a bunch of weird stuff and going through fear. God still had angels there to help me. Okay, we don't want to put a bunch of emphasis on angels, but we want to believe they're there, correct? Amen. We want to focus on the Lord Jesus Christ and what he did for us on the cross. Psalm 91, 12. They will hold you up with their hands so you won't even hurt your foot on a stone. That's how nice God is. Amen. Psalm 91, 13. You will trample upon lions and cobras, you will crush fierce lions and serpents under your feet. Praise God. Spiritual victory, guys. Victory, spiritual victory through Jesus. Because why? Because he loves me, says the Lord. I will rescue him, I will protect him, for he acknowledges my name, the name of Jesus of Nazareth. And remember that the only way you love God is that he first loved you. Okay. So you got to get off of yourself and believe that you love God because Jesus died for you and loves you. That's why you love God. Nobody can love God perfect, like it's commanded in uh in the gospels. You know, love the Lord your God with all your heart, soul, mind, and strength. No one did that before having the Holy Spirit in them. Okay, you never loved God with all your heart, soul, mind, and strength before Christ. You have to allow God to build that inside of you and do it through you. Because He loves me. Yes, we love you, Lord. Okay, the Lord says, I will rescue those who love me. You uh you have the Holy Spirit, you love God. So, what is he gonna do for you? You're in a bad situation, I will rescue those who love me, and then what does he say? I will protect those who trust in my name. That's the truth. No matter what happens or what has happened in the past, in your life, you say, Where were you, Lord? All this stuff. He promises, I'll rescue those who love me and will protect those who trust in my name. Why does bad stuff happen to Christians? All that stuff, we can get into that. I'm not I'm not gonna go into all that today. I'm gonna say that all things work together for your good because you love God and you're called according to his purposes. Amen. All right. Then he says, He will call on me and I'll answer him. I'll be with him in trouble, I will deliver him and honor him. King James, he shall call upon me. So you, as a Christian, will call upon who? Jesus. And what will he do? I will answer him. Okay. So if you believe that God doesn't answer your prayers, you're believing a lie, and you need to change your mind, you need to repent. Okay, just because it's not answered exactly how you want or in the timing you want, it says, I will answer him. Is God gonna answer you as you call upon him? That was me in the mental hospital. I called upon his name and he answered me, he delivered me. I will be with him in trouble. So guess what? You'll go through trouble in life, believe it or not, as we all know. I will be with him in trouble. So God is gonna be with who in trouble? You and me, and then God will what? I will deliver him. So that scripture is for those who need deliverance. Feel like you're being tormented by demons or whatever's going on in your life. You feel tormented, call upon the name of the Lord. Read Psalm 91. That's what I did. I will deliver him. Was I delivered from schizophrenia instantly? No, it was a process. Why? Because I believed a lot of lies. A lot of lies. And when you believe lies and then you get into false doctrine, it takes a little longer for God to unwind you, right? To get you out of the the web of lies, unwind you, you know, like a like a string that's all wound bad, and you know, right? Okay, he will deliver you. So, what are you afraid of? You need deliverance. What does the Bible say? He shall call upon me, I'll answer him. So you've been crying out, Lord, I need deliverance, I need healing, I need truth, I need more of your presence. Uh, he shall call upon me and I'll answer him. I will be with him in trouble, I will deliver him and honor him. Let's look this up for fun. Hebrews. Uh Hebrew. When he calls out to me, so when you proclaim, you call, you read, I will answer him, I will respond, I'll be uh with him in trouble. I will deliver. I will deliver, equip, present, strengthen, and what? Honor him. Honor him. I will glorify him, I will boast of him, I'll honor him, noble, promote all those things. Why? Because you're this wonderful person, your character is impeccable, because you've never sinned in your whole life, and your character is impeccable, and God is just so amazed by your abilities. No, it's all by grace through faith, guys. Jesus plus nothing. Get yourself out of the equation and start looking towards your Savior. When you call upon him, he will answer you, he'll be with you in trouble, he will rescue you, and he will honor you. Why? Jesus and his faithfulness is your shield. And then what does it say for those who you're getting older in age? With long life will I satisfy him and show him my salvation. With what? Long life. Okay. So if you're struggling today with thinking you're gonna, you know, go home early because of something you got diagnosed with or something, Psalm 91. What does it say? With long life will I satisfy him and show him my salvation. That's promised to you as a born again believer. Our job is submit to God. And resist, disagree with the devil. Resist the devil. How do you resist the devil? Well, the devil comes and says, Hey, uh, that person offended you. You should uh you should yell back at them. You have an opportunity to say yes or no to the devil right there. The lust starts churning in your brain and then in your emotions, and it wants you to go do dumb things. Well, you can choose to go into that, or you can choose to say, No, lust really isn't part of me. I'm not going into that. You start getting tempted to uh maybe scream at somebody or uh lie to somebody or be greedy or something. You can agree with those emotions and go into sin and then suffer consequences, perhaps, or just take a while to restore your, you know, be restored. Or you could choose the right way to go. You resist the devil, disagree with him. A lot of people deal with discouragement as discouragement encouragement. No, it's the opposite of encouragement, so therefore, it's not from your true nature in Christ. So you need to disagree with it. Disagree with it. And uh, most Christians all deal with condemnation, right? So you feel bad about things, you feel like you're just this horrible fleshly sinner all the time. You got to get out of yourself and realize that you can't free yourself. You need to surrender to his grace. Give yourself grace. Embrace that you're growing in grace, embrace that you're learning good behavior, embrace that you're learning to make right choices, you're learning to forgive people like Christ forgives them. You're learning to love the brethren, you're learning to be a steward of money, you're learning all these things. God's teaching you, He's not giving up on you, He doesn't leave you or forsake you.
