Hi, everybody. This is Nick Grimsman, and uh I am the host of Holy Ghost Television. This is Spirit Stream number fifty-six. Can you believe it? It's number fifty-six. Got some uh good announcements here. I'll uh go through a little bit of them. The first one is is that our app um has over 1400 1400 uh downloads currently. Remember, we're uh we're just growing slowly. We're gonna continue to grow and grow and grow, right? And uh as well as Holy Ghost Television is if you if you're watching this, you can see the free app uh on the screen right now. You can just do the QR code or just go to the Father's Friends website and get it there. Um, if you are listening to this, you can always go to the Father's Friends website and check it out, the free app there. But Holy Ghost Television, I decided uh currently, I don't know if it's always gonna be like this, but uh I've uh uh just spent time uploading all the episodes, spirit streams to podcasts. So now you're gonna be able to listen to the uh whatever we're doing on Holy Ghost Television, right in your Apple Podcasts, your YouTube podcasts, uh wherever, you know, Amazon Music, Spotify, all that stuff. So the podcasts are gonna be there. So let's say you don't have time to sit here and watch every video. You can always just go to Spotify and you can find Holy Ghost Television Podcast and you can just listen to it. Also at our website, thefathersfriends.org and our app also have the podcast, or it's gonna have it. So that's uh moving forward. Hi, Martine on Facebook. Good to see you. Thank you for joining. Thank you for the comment. Um, so if you guys are watching, can you please give me a share? Super easy. You can always just share. It's a really easy share. Uh share on your uh social media, all that stuff. Thank you for your support of ministry and your prayers and all that stuff. Let's start with prayer and see where the Lord has uh has us today. Um, I don't really know what I'm gonna talk about. I just really want to help somebody out there. So I'm gonna ask the Lord to draw those people to this broadcast. Father, I just thank you so much that you are king of glory, that you are uh the king of all the universe, of all creation. You are king immortal, you're the only immortal one. Uh and I thank you that you know everybody's heart, you know everybody's thoughts, you know everything about them, you know everybody before the world began because Jesus Christ was crucified before creation, and that's a great mystery. But Lord, you're outside of time. And I ask that you would draw the people that are supposed to watch or listen to this broadcast. Lord, I thank you that you're gonna draw them and they're gonna be touched by your spirit and changed and transformed for your glory. God, I ask that you would bless Holy Ghost television. Uh, I'm putting it on podcasts to see if it if it uh you know reaches more people. And I thank you for that. I thank you for our Roku app, Lord, our Apple app where people can watch it on their TVs. Lord, I thank you for what you're doing in my heart and in my mind. I thank you that um, you know, Lord, I've been in ministry for 15 years, over 15 years and full time, and and you know, it's kind of like a slow growth. And I and I thank you for that, Lord. I thank you that you um you always take care of me and the ministry and you have good plans in Jesus' name, Lord. Bless this broadcast. Thank you, Lord. Praise God, amen. Thank you, Lord, praise God. Thank you. I'm just gonna pray a little longer, Lord. We just love you so much, Lord. We worship you, Jesus. We thank you, Lord, for your blood, your precious blood. I thank you, Lord, that even though we fall short of times, Lord, you're there. You're you're our support, Lord, that our strength comes from you. Lord, I pray for those people out there that are struggling with um some sort of habit or habitual behavior, Lord, that they would uh see themselves as free, that they would start understanding that uh their mind uh can be renewed and transformed by your truth. I thank you that your truth sets us free. I pray, Lord, for healing in people's bodies today. I thank you, Lord, that you are the God of miracles and you can do miracles. And I pray for miracles to take place today. Thank you, Lord Jesus. Hallelujah. Guys, a lot of times we uh, you know, we we chase, we chase a lot of stuff. Hey, Nick, uh Nick on Facebook, good to see you. Uh you know, a lot of times we chase things, guys. You you know, like um we we're we're chasing things and we think that um that this is God's will for our life, and we we chase and we chase it, and and then we never get it. And we wonder why, why, or maybe we it it prolongs. Maybe we do get it years, years, you know, years in the future, whatever. But like I remember when I was young in the Lord, um, you know, when you're young in the Lord, you get uh you have this, you know, you have this zeal, you know, you want to go in souls, you want to do ministry, you want to go pray for everybody, you you know, and then uh then life happens, and you you you go through a lot of stuff. So a lot of young Christians they get saved, they get this zeal, they're you know, they go into ministry early, they go uh, you know, they go missions trips, all this stuff, and they're all excited for the Lord, and then then life happens, right? They were believing the Lord for a spouse, they're believing the Lord for a new business, they were believing the Lord for money for school, whatever it is. And then things might not happen just like you think it's gonna happen in your mind, or they they think it's gonna happen in their mind, and then they get discouraged, and then they start, you know, what we call backsliding, or we they start losing their fire and all that stuff. You have to remember that God's will be done, not yours. And so we have to realize that just because you have this uh emotion and this big thing inside of you to do something or to have this or to do this or whatever, to own this or whatever, that doesn't necessarily mean it's in the right place in your soul, okay? Uh in the right in in the right place in your soul. So, for example, I talk about this a lot, but I'm just gonna keep talking about it because this is my experience. Uh, for example, when I was young in the Lord, I wanted a Hum V, like a Hummer, you know, like a uh you know, like one of those big Jeep Hummers, or it's uh it's a GMC Hummer or something like that. I don't know. It's the Hummer, the big one, right? And I wanted the uh the H1 Hummer is a huge, huge Hummer, okay? Huge. And I got under the teaching where I could just declare whatever I wanted and I would get it. Okay, guys, that's uh not necessarily uh a hundred percent, okay? Because there's a lot of stuff inside of people that like me wanting an H1 Humber, and I thought it was for a good thing. I wanted to go feed homeless people out of a Hummer, okay. I mean, you guys can laugh. I mean, I laugh about it now, but like I thought I had to have a Hummer to show that uh that I was special to God or I was blessed or whatever. So uh from my heart, it seemed like a good thing. Like, hey, I want a hummer, you know, I want a hummer, but deep down inside for this luxury car, there was this ego and this pride. And you a lot of times when you're young, Lord, you don't recognize that this ego thing, this pride of life, and this uh, you know, the this uh lust of the flesh, lust of the eyes, pride of life, right? I talked about in uh I think it's uh is it uh first John is not of the father, but is of the world. So I had this not that the Hummer was wrong, not it's not wrong to desire a Hummer or a nice luxury car or something, but the place it was in my soul, it was it would have been part of my identity if I got it, see, and so a lot of times we're praying and we're asking God for things, and He wants to mold your identity to be more like Jesus, but you're fighting with Him and getting upset and discouraged because you don't have what you think you desire at the time, see? So let's go to the book of James, right? Let's go to the book of James. I'm gonna open up my screen share. Um, let's see here, see if I can do it. Uh, I think I just removed this. Sorry, guys, I'm kind of new with this. I do it all myself because I like it nice and simple and easy. So I'm gonna go to the chat. I'm gonna remove that. I'm gonna go to screen share. We're gonna go over to the book of James, okay? So the book of James, let's read in context again, right? So the book of James is written to who? Um, if I could find it on here. That's over here. There it is after Hebrews. So the book of James was written to who? To the 12 tribes scattered abroad among the nations. Greetings. So uh this letter is from James, a slave of God and the Lord Jesus Christ. I'm writing to the 12 tribes, Jewish believers scattered abroad. Greetings. So James, I believe this is the brother of the Lord, a servant of God and of the Lord Jesus Christ, to the 12 tribes in dispersion. Okay, so they're scattered abroad all over the world, right? So the the uh Jewish people were scattered all over the world. Okay, so he he's writing to all the Jewish believers. Uh okay, so we kind of get context there, right? In James 1. Um, so then he goes into count all joy, my brothers, when you meet trials of various kinds, or whenever you face trials of many kinds. Okay, so let's start there. So you guys remember, I don't really know, like I don't really, I'm not like uh preparing my sermon or anything. I I literally am just talking, okay. And we're just gonna go through this and we're gonna talk a little bit, and maybe somebody will get something, okay? So he says here, consider it pure joy, or consider it an opportunity for great joy when what? You go through troubles, you go through various trials of all sorts, okay? So that's the first thing you want to realize that you're gonna go through troubles as a young Christian. I didn't, you know, I I knew this because I went through a lot of stuff, but once I started getting freer and freer from my own uh issues I was going through with mental health issues and all that stuff, I thought I was gonna get everything I wanted uh instantly because I was declaring it. I used to, I drive down the freeway and there's this big, huge mansion on the freeway here in Phoenix. And I used to drive by because I was under this whole declare and you're gonna get it. So I would be driving by, declaring I'm gonna get a Hummer in this huge giant mansion up on the hill, okay? Uh, because that's what I felt like my heart wanted, but that was from the world system, a lot of it. Okay. There's nothing wrong with a mansion or hummer. I'm saying the place of it in my identity, okay? That was part of my identity. My identity had to have that Hummer in the mansion. And so I thought it was this uh this uh worldly um, since I am this worldly uh uh you know, um this worldly belief or whatever like that, right? So, and because I'm coming out of the world, so I'm coming out of the world, and what do I want? Worldly things. I want a lot of stuff so that I can show how uh blessed I am or how much God loves me or whatever it was. Um so for you know that when you're so James 1.3, for when you know that your faith is tested, your endurance has a chance to grow, okay? Because you know that the testing of your faith develops perseverance. Knowing this, King James, James 1 3 says, uh, knowing this, that the trying of your faith works, what patience. So I didn't get everything I wanted instantly or all that stuff, right? Um, and I had to go through the trying of my faith. I had to be praying for something for five years and never receiving it. And then I had to realize that it was connected to my identity. Imagine praying for something that you really believed in your heart of hearts that you were gonna receive. For five years I prayed for this thing. Five longer than five years, seven years pretty much. I prayed and prayed and prayed, and it controlled me through fear, anxiety. What if I don't get this? I'm not gonna go into the details, but you know, what if this doesn't happen? And guess what? It didn't happen after seven years. See, my faith was tried, but I learned perseverance and endurance. I went through uh believing something and then realizing that wasn't 100% because God used it though to get what? Stuff out of my identity to teach me things I couldn't have learned any other way. So you're on like a road, right? You're on the narrow road, and God has a special way to train you and teach you. So God has this way of training you that's going to be different than the way he trained me. You might not have to go through something where you have all your heart's desire, and the seven years you're praying, and then you don't get it. Okay, it falls through. You, you know, you you might not have that, or maybe you have, but God is still with you and he works through it for your good. And the testing of your faith develops perseverance, it develops steadfastness, right? So I learned what persevere in prayer, I learned to keep moving forward, I learned to keep seeking the Lord, I learned to keep reading his word, all those things, okay? Through missing out on something that I thought was the Lord, maybe it was, maybe it wasn't, doesn't really matter because God used it for the good, right? Amen. And so we had to get that ego identity um out of me, right? I had to, I had to really, you know, go through a lot of stuff to get the ego stuff, to get the worldly human nature stuff, the things that the world, you know, like, for example, you know, people think blessing's money, right? So you see somebody like a Christian who's has wealth, right? And you think, oh, they're blessed of God, right? Oh, they're blessed of God, they're financially wealthy. Guys, the world thinks the same thing. The Pharisees thought the same thing. The Pharisees were all rich, and what? They look down on everybody else that they weren't spiritual enough, right? They weren't spiritual enough. So the devil comes and says, Well, if you don't have a bunch of money, if you aren't where the world says you're supposed to be, you you don't drive a Lamborghini or you don't have a big house with a yacht, then you've failed, see? And then it sneaks into the church teachings to where we think we're supposed to have all this money to just live in yachts and luxury and all that stuff. But in reality, we're supposed to use the wealth that God gave us for what? His kingdom. That's what it's supposed to be. We're supposed to be living in moderation and living for the Lord. That's what we're supposed to be doing, okay? Nothing wrong with a nice house or whatever, doesn't matter. But what I'm saying is moderation and living a life that pleases the Lord. And we get deceived when we start looking at what people call blessings in the world. You know, like being uh, I used to think I was gonna be a famous actor. I'm gonna go into Hollywood and be a famous actor like Brad Pitt. Okay, I'm gonna go be this famous actor like whoever, right? Brad Pitt or Keanu Reeves or whatever. And then I got saved, and then God had to we get that stuff out of me because that's all pride of life. There's nothing wrong if you feel called to be an actor or whatever, or you're famous or whatever. I'm saying if it's in your identity other than the Lord. So get my teaching here. It's God trying to form Christ in you instead of you trying to fulfill everything you think you're supposed to be doing or everything you think is going to fulfill you. The all you have to get to, or you don't have to get to the place. God can get you to the place where He is the only one that satisfies you in whatever He brings you. So if you're taking notes, that's a pretty good one. God can get you to a place where He is satisfied the number one satisfier of your whole life, of your soul, of everything. You can literally, like I believe that I could live in a tent with a can of beans and some water, and I would be totally content. Why? Because I have the Holy Ghost. So when your focus is on the Holy Ghost, guess what comes? The enemy comes to try to get your focus off the truth, get your focus off your relationship with the Lord. How is he gonna do that? He's gonna use those desires in you, those things from you from uh trauma, from what the TV told you, what the internet's telling you. He's gonna use all these worldly things to try to get you what away from being satisfied in Christ. Paul, you know, Apostle Paul, he said he learned how to be a base, so he learned how to be poor or lacking, and he also learned how to abound. So he learned how to be poor and how he uh how to be rich, but in all things he learned what? Contentment. So contentment with godliness is great gain. Contentment with godliness is great gain. So being content where you're at is what God's trying to get you to to be at. If you can be content where you're at, God can take you to the next level. But if you can't be content driving around, like I was driving around this really uh, really, you know, this car that really didn't fit what I thought was gonna fit my personality, right? The AC barely worked in Arizona. Um, it was really low to the ground, it was, you know, it was a little Honda Civic, real small, old, it was an old one, right? And I was driving like, Lord, you know, I'm just gonna have a good attitude because I learned that in the past. I went through it in the past too. So I had this for a short season, got through it, and now God got me a nice car. So it's you have to learn contentment. Just learn contentment if you're dealing with finances, if you're dealing with feeling like you you you lack or you feel like you know you're dealing with debt, you're dealing with whatever it is, sit with the Lord and remind yourself of his word. The word says that God is our shepherd, right? I shall not be in want or I shall not lack. And then look around. Do you have food? Do you have clothing? Well, Paul said with food and clothing, the Bible says with food and clothing, we shall be content. So I'm not speaking you're supposed to, you know, I'm not saying you're supposed to be impoverished your whole life or dealing with debt your whole life or all that stuff, but there are seasons in life and it's all training. If you step back and realize your whole, your whole life with Jesus is training you for a future kingdom, you it really is. Everything's training you to rule and reign with Christ in eternity. So you're being trained. But people don't want to believe that. They just want to think that, oh, you know, I'm gonna, I'm gonna get saved, and well, God's gonna give me everything I ever want. I'm gonna get my hum, my hum V I wanted, my H1 Hummer, drive around and feed homeless people in it. That'll glorify God. Well, good, but that's not the that's not the calling God had in my life. Instead, what did He have me do? I've sold everything I've had like three or four times, not telling you to do this. Three or four times. Didn't own anything. And the Lord had me move somewhere, had me travel what two years ago. I was in 20 countries. I just I'm not connected to things anymore. But when I was a young Christian, I was connected to the mansions, to the Humvees, to the nice cars, to the nice clothes, to the nice watches. That's all baby Christian stuff, guys. When you get close to the Holy Ghost, you don't care about your watch. You don't care about the type of shoes you're wearing. You don't care because you're disconnected from the world system. So I could wear a $10,000 watch or a hundred dollar watch. I don't care. It doesn't have it's not connected to my identity anymore. See, I don't really care about that stuff anymore. So that's where God can start using you when you don't care about those things because those things can start manipulating you. You get a big house, you got this big payment now, you got the wife, you got the kids, and all you do is work 24-7, you don't enjoy your job anymore, you don't you, you know, you don't serve God anymore because you wanted this big house, and now you got these payments for rested 30 years or whatever, because why? Because this thing inside of you said you had to have a bigger house than your brother has or your sister has. See, it's it's that ego thing, and so God is taking you through a through the valley so that you can get this ego thing out of you, this pride of life. And a lot of people don't really get there, guys. I don't know who's watching this. Hope. Hopefully you're gonna get there. You're gonna get to a place where the only thing that matters is the Holy Ghost, Jesus of Nazareth, is the King of glory. You're just a lay down lover for the Lord. That's where you want to get to, but you don't get to it by your own self-effort. It's by trusting the Word of God and just doing what you feel like the Lord wants you to do. He wants you to start a business, go start a business. He wants you to go to school, go to school. He wants you to be the usher church, be the usher church. You know, a lot of people just don't step out and do stuff because they're afraid of failure. And I had to learn a long time ago that failure, you learn through failure. That's a lot of ways you learn. Anyone that's old will tell you that. So don't be afraid to step out in ministry. If you feel like, hey, you know what, I want to go do this ministry. Don't be afraid to say, hey, you know what? I want to start, I want to start working out, I want to feel better about myself. You know, I want to, you know, I want to uh be healthy so that I can live a long life to take care of my children and my grandchildren. You know, I want to start eating better. And I can teach this stuff, guys, because I've been through it and I go through it. So remember, ministers go through things just like you. So you're you're in a um you're in a place, I'm in a place. We're all walking together. I'm not better than you, you're not better than me. We're all one in Christ. And so we're supposed to be pastors and evangelists and teachers. We're supposed to be just sharing the word, encouraging what? Encouraging the body of Christ and lifting them up so that they can fulfill the calling. So eventually you have to get to a place where you have some sort of ministry that God has given you. It doesn't mean you're gonna be in full-time ministry like me. It might mean that your ministry is with your grandkids right now or your children. You know, a lot of uh mothers, you know, they they sit there and they go, they get under the works based, the performance-based uh doctrines, and they start thinking, oh, I didn't pray three hours today. They got four kids they got to feed and take care of, whether husbands at work or maybe it's the husband taking care of them. I don't know, right? Uh, you know, feeding them. The wife has to go to work. I don't really know, but a lot of times it's like these uh you get into these belief systems that, oh my gosh, I'm not traveling the world and being in a missionary. I'm but God doesn't love me. Oh, I'm just here doing uh, you know, I'm just you know, I'm I'm here, I'm a church secretary, I'm not really serving God. I'm just this is my job. I don't really know. Like everything you do, look at as an opportunity to be a light. You can shine the light of Jesus wherever you're at at any moment, right? Wherever you're at in the world, you can shine the light of Jesus if you're just a stay-at-home mom. You can shine the light of Jesus if you're a car salesman, you can shine the light of your light of Jesus if you're a musician, or if you are a waiter, or if you're a lawyer, you can be a testimony for the Lord. You don't have to go around screaming the gospel at everybody, but you can be there for them as a friend and sincerely care about people. You know, guys, a lot of times people uh they'll ask me, Why are you always happy? Or why are you smile all the time? Why are you like, why don't you, you know, gossip with everybody else? Like when I'm in like a place with uh people who are, you know, like in my apartment complex. Some people ask me questions, like, you know, they start gossiping about every everybody or something, and they're like they try to get me into it, and I don't I don't gossip because I learned that's not right. I just learned from what from the Holy Spirit in me in the word of God. So I just learned. So you're gonna learn as what? As you fully surrender to the Lord Jesus Christ, and we do that by what opening our hearts and allowing the Lord to work in us. We can uh we can be immature, right? The rest of our Christianity. Okay, Jessica says, Thank you, Jessica, on Facebook. She says, such a timely word. Thank you, Nick. Wonderful. I'm I'm glad that uh you're watching. Thank you for that comment. Okay, so that encourages me. So uh let's keep going. So remember, um, let what let uh let perseverance to finish the work. Let perseverance finish the work. Let's uh another uh in Berean uh so I go through I have like all these different ver uh versions uh uh versions on the on Bible Hub here open if you're just listening to this. So Berean literal Bible says, and let endurance have its perfect work so that you may be perfect and complete, lacking in nothing. Uh Berean standards says, Allow perseverance to finish its work so that you may be mature and complete, lacking nothing. King James, but let patience have her perfect work that you may be perfect and entire, wanting nothing. Do you guys see how the different translations um you know they sound differently, but it all comes from uh different the different translators, and they go into the Hebrew, the Greek, and they they study it, and this is what they feel like is is what it's saying. So if you look at the word perfect here, right? Uh it really does uh let's look it up, but in in the in the Greek, but the word perfect there, it actually in the Greek it's mature, okay? So it's complete or completeness, mature. See, it's mature, strong 5046. And it's used in where where Jesus says, be perfect as your father in heaven is perfect. A lot of people think that means that that you're uh yeah, you're perfectly sinless all the time, 24-7. But that's not what it's saying. Jesus is saying for us to what the Bible tells us to be complete, to be uh uh to be full age, to be a full age of and uh growth of mental and moral character, complete, perfect, mature. So, in a way, you could look at this as what I take it, you can look at it differently, but I take it as we are to be mature Christians, we are to be mature in our walk with the Lord, we are to be fully grown like our Father in heaven, right? We're supposed to be mature like our Father, okay? So we're supposed to be like of old age, like our Father, like have wisdom and understanding and be like God, okay? Which is love, joy, peace, kindness, gentleness, goodness, self-control, humility, all those things. The fruit of the spirit is what God is. Because the Holy Spirit lives in us, okay? So you're supposed to grow, you're supposed to be fully mature, you're supposed to be a grown man or woman of God. You're not supposed to just sit here and listen to teachings the rest of your life. You are supposed to grow in your relationship with Lord Jesus Christ, and that takes your time and that takes your effort. Okay, so salvation is by grace through faith, it's a gift, it's not by work. So your behavior does not determine your salvation. Okay, your behavior is how your life will end up. So if you want to listen to lies and choose to practice ungodly behaviors and continue to yell at your spouse and to be mean at work, well, your life is going to start getting eaten up and decaying. Why? Because you're believing wrong and you're living in the realm of the flesh. You have to learn to let go of the realm of the flesh. You died, right? You died, you were crucified with Christ, full surrender. You were you get baptized in water as what? As that outward sign of what happened inwardly. Okay, so inwardly, you were crucified, right? You were crucified, you were born again, you were dead, now you're born again. You were baptized by the spirit, and now you're risen to newness of life. Okay, so now we are to what? We're to live in newness of life. You're a new creation. So if you're struggling with old behavior patterns, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, then you need to start believing what I am a new creation in Christ. Doesn't matter what you did five hours ago or yesterday or last week or last year, you're a new creation. So if you're struggling, I'm a new creation in Christ. That's who I am. I'm a new creation. I don't care what the devil says. I might feel emotionally like I did before I was saved sometimes, but I'm a new creation and I'm going to start learning my new emotions that I'm supposed to walk in. You are to walk in the spirit. And an easy way to think about it is love. If you focus on love, then you fulfill the law.
SPEAKER_01Yeah.
SPEAKER_00And love lives in you, so you fulfill the law automatically. And that goes back to our uh some of the teachings I did. I do at the website, the 30 Days to Believing Right, the book I have, 30 Days to Believing Right. I talk about that. How you Jesus fulfilled everything, and now he lives in your body to transform you to be love. You're supposed to be a loving, kind, humble, faithful, gentle person with self-control. That's who you are. And if you're not, you know, if you're saying that's not me, that's you're believing a lie. See, because it's your soul that needs to be transformed by the truth. Okay, let's keep going. Um okay, so then, you know, if you need wisdom, the Bible says, ask our God, ask our generous God, ask God who gives generously to all without finding fault and will be given to you. So he's not finding fault in you for asking wisdom. If you don't know something, if you don't know something, let's say you don't know how to make money for your family, guess what? You ask God for wisdom and he will bless you with wisdom and give you an idea. Does it come instantly? Not all the time. It might take you waiting on the Lord. Why? Waiting on the Lord is trusting him, right? So you want to wait on the Lord. So you've asked for wisdom. Let's pray right now. Father, I ask for anybody out there, including myself, that needs wisdom in certain areas of our lives to get through things, to overcome things, to receive from you. We ask for wisdom. And we thank you that you give liberally to all those who ask you in faith. And we ask you in faith for wisdom in Jesus' name. Amen. And then now God is going to give us wisdom in whatever situation we need wisdom in. That's how easy it is, guys. But what happens is you need wisdom in a situation, you start getting afraid, and then you start going into fear, and then you start thinking God doesn't love you, and then pretty soon you got depression. Isn't that wild? That's really, I mean, that that's how I see it happening. A lot of people, all right. So I'm gonna go down to uh I think it's James. I'm gonna search for it real quick. It's uh uh wait, no, I think it's James 2. Is it James 2? Uh no, that's James uh three, four. All right, so here in James chapter four, he talks about how what is causing fights and quarrels among you and wars and all this stuff. It's evil desires. Okay, so when you are fighting and quarreling with people, and uh you are you it's coming from evil. You desire, but you do not have, so you kill. You want what you don't have, so you scheme and kill to get it. You are jealous of what others have, but you can't, so he's rebuking the Jewish people here, okay? He's rebuking these people, uh, or humans in general, right? You want where you you want what you this is a new living translation, James 4, to you want what you don't have, so you scheme and kill to get it. You are jealous of what others have, but you can't get it, so you fight and wage war to take it from them. Yet you don't have what you want because you don't ask God for it. Okay, when you ask, you do not receive. Why don't people receive from God? Because you ask with wrong motives, that you may spend what you get on your pleasures. Okay, so that's James 4.3. So a lot of people they're praying and they're asking God for things, but like me with the Hummer, I just use it as an example. There's nothing wrong with hummers or wanting luxury cards, there's nothing wrong with that when it's not tied to your identity, okay? And it becomes an idol, right? If something's tied to your identity, become an idol. If you're uh, you know, if you uh, you know, if you you can get things uh connected to your identity, that if you don't have it, then you're gonna get mad at God and walk away from Jesus, you think. Well, if I never get married and I just I'm just gonna never serve God, or I, you know, if I if I don't have an IRA or a 401k that has this much money in it, I'm not gonna serve God, or you know, because it's in your identity. See, and then it pulls you away from God in rebellion or in uh discouragement. A lot of people like I used to get discouraged, I don't have my Hummer yet, or I don't have that relationship I wanted, or I don't have that business I wanted, or whatever. And then what happens? You it turns into rebellion. You get upset with God, you feel like God doesn't love you, so you're going, you go into unbelief. Remember, we're in a battle of faith. Say it with me. We're in a battle of faith. That's what you're in. You're in a battle of faith. This is are you gonna believe God's word? Just like the children of Israel, they are in a battle of faith. God got them through all that stuff, part of the Red Sea, fed them in the wilderness, all these things. Are they gonna believe God for the next thing going into uh, you know, they they defeated Jericho? Are they gonna believe? Um, are they gonna believe for uh the next uh going into the promised land? Are they gonna believe that God can conquer those giants in their form, the nations in the promised land? Are they gonna believe despite how they feel or what they see? Remember, faith is a substance of things hoped for yet unseen. Okay, so you don't see it yet, like the healing, you don't see it yet, you don't see the breakthrough yet, you don't see the finance yet, you don't see your new car yet, you don't see the future spouse yet. Are you gonna believe past how you feel and what you see and sense and believe God's good? Or are you gonna believe un are you gonna go into unbelief and then go into sin? And that's what the children of Israel did. Every time they start having unbelief, it led to sin. So you start when you start having unbelief, that's when the devil tempts you to go into sin. You know, you start getting discouraged, and then what does he do? Oh, go look at ungodly images on the computer, or go on that dating site and just go out on a date with whoever, doesn't matter, God doesn't love you, you never have a spouse. Whatever the lie is, see, he comes in and starts tempting you. Oh, just reach for the drink. You know, it's gonna be forever until God gives you the idea for the business, just reach for the drink, see? And then pretty soon you're sitting at the bar every day. You're like, what happened to me? Well, you went into unbelief. So if you're out there, just repent of unbelief today. Just confess, God, I just confess to you the unbelief that I I've been dealing with in this area of my life, and I want you to deal with it, and I'm gonna trust your word. Amen. And that's how you do it, guys. You just confess your sins to God where you mess up, confess your transgressions, confess whatever it is. God, I just confess this to you. See, you guys, God likes honesty. So walking in the light is walking in in honesty, in a real heart, right? Walking in your heart with God, in the light of Jesus. See, when you walk in the light, you're honest with God despite your failures. So you could be like King David. King David was everybody's oh, King David, the greatest man. Yeah, he was a good guy, but he had tendencies and he did some dumb things. Okay? He did some dumb things. You know, Bathsheba killed her her husband. You know, he did some bad things, but he was a man after God's own heart. Why? Because he believed in the Messiah, he believed in God and he kept moving forward. He didn't sit and just become a murderer for the rest of his life. Okay, he made a mistake, had to suffer for it. He sincerely confessed it to God, and what he uh moved forward from it. So confess, forsake. Confess, forsake. You're you're dabbling in this in this thing, you're dabbling in that thing. Confess, forsake it. If it's if it's attached to you somehow, then you need God's grace. You need to let the Lord know that you can't let go of it unless He delivers you from it and just give up at the cross. Just give up my little dogs and start barking. Hey, little Timmy, little Timmy, come here, come, come here. Thank you for protecting the house. Yeah. My neighbors talking at the window again. It happens. They stand by my window and start talking. I don't know. Only when I'm live streaming, though. Bless them. Okay, so anyway, uh so you ask with your wrong, so James 4.3, you ask with the wrong motives. You to spend it on your passions or your your lusts, right? Some translations. Okay, so think about that. When you're when you're praying for something, is it attached? Like you've been waiting for this. Is it ask the Lord, Lord, deal with anything attached to me that may be preventing me from receiving the promise? You know, some people want to receive, uh, you know, I prayed for people that were in wheelchairs, they wanted to be healed so that they could just go back to their old life. They didn't really didn't seem uh like they were really into what they wanted to uh, you know, serve God or anything, they just wanted to go back in their old life. So I pray for them, pray for them, pray for him, pray for them. They come to meetings, I pray for anybody because I know God's working on them. Pretty soon the person never came again. Why? I don't know. Maybe it was because they got mad and discouraged, and then they said, uh, I'm not into the Christianity thing anymore because God didn't give me what I wanted. See the trick there, and so when people promise you big things, it's in second or first or second Peter, they promise you big things. You're gonna get a miracle if you come by meeting, you're gonna get a miracle if you come my meeting. So somebody comes in and they say, Well, I'm gonna get a miracle from God tonight, and then I'm gonna just, you know, I'm gonna go whatever. And they don't get the miracle instantly, then what do they do? They turn on God and say, Oh, God, God doesn't care about me instead of serving God. That's what the narrow road is. We're supposed to be sold out for Jesus. I mean, it's the truth, guys. I mean, if you read if you read the Bible, Christians are sold out for Jesus. Like they they're born again, they have the Holy Spirit, and they follow Jesus. That's the truth. And there's different levels of that, right? You could be at uh an area where where maybe you're not all sold out all the way, but you know you're saved. Okay. Well, God can work with you there.
unknownRight?
SPEAKER_00I know a lot of people that are just they're they're Christians, and I know they're saved, but they're just not all in. And when you're not all in, then the you know, then life is messy. So when you're not all in with the Lord, the enemy can mess with you. You know, you don't want to be entangled, right? So Apostle Paul told Timothy, don't be entangled with the affairs of this life. How many Christians do you know entangle themselves with the affairs of this world? They entangle themselves, they talk about politics 24-7. They either mad about politics or talking about politics and not doing anything, you know, they're not voting or doing anything, they're just talking about it's part of their personality. Okay, nothing wrong with trying to help in politics. I did it too. But when it's you know, you can get caught up in it, you can get caught up, you can get caught up with sports, you can get caught up with watching your favorite sports team, you can get caught up in in adventure books. I mean, there's so many things that you can get caught up in that try to pull you into unbelief that try to tell you just live a normal life. No, you're just a normal person. Live a normal life. Well, I can't, I don't know if there's people out there. Give me an amen in the comments if if it's hard for you to live a normal life. I've tried, guys. The narrow road is not a normal life. You know, I used to want the the white picket fence, the two and a half kids. You know how they say American dream is the white, the house, the the the car, or the two cars, the two and a half kids, they say, with the you know, statistically, with the white picket fence. Everybody wants that. That's what they sold us. That's what they told us when we were kids. That's what we're supposed to have. And so I thought that's that's the American dream. That's what I want, God. That's what I want. But then God starts stripping things from my life. And sometimes it's painful to get things stripped from you, from your emotions, from your your identity, from your mind, from your life completely. To where you're to where you're you're just, I love the Lord. Like I love the Lord. I remember when I was young in the Lord, I loved the Lord when I felt his presence, right? I I would go to worship service, I'd love the Lord, right? But then I'd have all All these other things I wanted. I wanted the big mansion. I wanted the the supermodel wife. I wanted the two and a half kids and the white picket fence. I have to, you know, I gotta be famous. I I gotta, you know, have a six-pack uh abs with the big muscles, and I gotta, you know, I have to have all these things or I'm I'm not loved by God. See, God had to strip that out of me. And he's doing that in you too. And it's it's a lot easier just to surrender to him and say, okay, Lord, if you don't want me to live a normal life, then here I am. Okay, Lord. If I don't get that mansion with the Hummer, okay, Lord, that's okay. And then guess what? He does something greater. He blesses you with his presence and a relationship with him. There's things that the Lord has, you know, he's visited me with his uh presence and talked with me in my heart, I believe, that I don't tell anybody about because it's so intimate. And so I don't, you know, I um, you know, like deep, like deep knowledge that like wild stuff. If I told you, you wouldn't even believe it. So I don't tell people things that the Lord is, you know, he's visited me by his presence and told me, like in you know, prayer times, you know, and I know it's him, and I just keep it between us. I I share a lot of stuff, but some things I don't share because I've developed that relationship with the Lord. Better yet, the Lord's developed it with me. The Lord has allowed me to go through things and strip things from me so that I am closer to him. So it really doesn't have a lot to do with me. I just had to agree with it. I just had to agree with the process. So agree with the process, agree with the process, realize that your life's not always going to be perfect, and God uses all the negative to get you closer to him. And so when you're going through bad stuff, get closer to him instead of run from him. Just because you didn't get a prayer answered this year, or you're still struggling with health issues, or you're dealing with financial stuff, you can still be uh you can still be happy inside, you can still trust God. Amen. Still trust God. Most of the time it's emotions, guys. And I have a lot of teachings on our website about emotions because they're attached to your soul. You have to learn that you are a new creation and your new emotions are love and joy, peace, and kindness, and gentleness, and goodness, and self-control. You know, as you grow in grace, you're not like an angry person anymore. So if you deal with anger issues, that's not really you. You just have to disagree with it. You guys, I started out in James, and then I totally just went a different direction. I don't even know where I'm uh where I'm where I'm going anymore. Like I just started going with this, and now I just talked, I yapped for 40 something minutes, over 45 minutes, and I was gonna talk about something else. See how the Lord does that? I love it, guys. I love it, I love how like I don't have a bunch of notes and stuff. I just come up and start chatting on live stream. That's what I like. Eventually, this will get this will keep growing and growing, and then the the ministry will change, Holy Ghost television will change, all that stuff. But this is what I enjoy right now. Please type in prayer requests. Marcella on YouTube wants me to pray for her. I will pray for you, Marcel. Anybody else have a prayer request? Please tap, type it in. Um type it in the uh Marcella, we're gonna pray if you pray for me that Jesus will speak to me directly, also. Okay. So, Marcella, God speaks to you through his word. He speaks to you through his word. And anything he's gonna say to you is you can pretty much find it in the word, okay? The flavor of it, all that stuff. Um, so uh Lord, we pray for uh Marcella that she would grow in your grace and in your love and that she would hear your voice through your word and in your in her heart, and that she would know it's you, that you would uh bless her with your presence today, that you would comfort her, that you would deliver her, Lord, that you would set her free from anything that's trying to bother her and her mind or her emotions, and that you would help her. Just learn grace, Lord, in Jesus' name. Amen. Amen. Amen, guys. And so uh I don't know, guys. I'm uh I'm just waiting for any prayer requests to come in. Thank you so much. So you guys are on the screen again. Uh, and so I can see you. You can tap, you can say, uh, type, say hi, whatever you want. Thank you so much. Uh praise God. Yeah. So um I know I think I shared it last show or last episode, or uh, but little Timmy is perfectly healthy again. So we went through that, what was it, two almost three weeks of him uh suffering from the bacterial stuff. I guess I went on a ministry trip to Texas and he ate something on the side of the road or something that uh um that really uh you know messed with his intestines and he was bleeding uh blood, you know, he's bleeding out and stuff like that. And God uh uh God uh blessed uh God uh what was I say? I was sorry, I was reading the comment. God blessed him with healing, he got some antibiotics and they he took them and he's doing better now. I'm just so thankful because he's my my little guy, little Timmy. He's tired, he's sleeping. Okay, sorry. All right, Camilla on uh YouTube says, uh please pray that I would not delay my breakthrough. Thank you. Blessings. All right, yeah. So uh Camilla, we'll we'll pray for you now. Um, the first thing I would say with that is Um, even if you feel like you've delayed your blessings or you can delay your blessings, what you want to do is you want to get a different perspective that even if there was a delay or is a delay or whatever, God will still work it out for your good. And your blessings or your breakthrough, right? Your breakthrough uh came at the cross. And so everything is about Jesus of Nazareth doing it for you. So, Lord, I pray for uh Camilla. I hope I'm pronouncing that right, Lord, that Camilla would have a revelation of the cross of Jesus Christ, how he wore a crown of thorns for her, how he was beaten and bruised for her, how he was whipped, he was spit upon, he was tormented, he was tortured for her. And I pray, Lord, that she would rest in what you did for her, that you said it is finished, and that she can rest knowing in the finished work of Jesus, knowing the finished work of Jesus is enough for her, for her breakthrough. And Lord, I thank you that you died on the cross for her and that you rose from the dead. I thank you, Lord, by the power of the Holy Spirit, she is free. And Lord, the breakthrough that she dreams of, I pray that that would come into her life as soon as possible. If it be right now, be wonderful, Lord. But I thank you, Lord, that you're preparing her for a breakthrough and help her do the things that she needs to do on her end to prepare her for a breakthrough. In Jesus' name, amen. Guys, a lot of times you want a breakthrough, but you're not preparing yourself for it. Amen. And so let's say you want uh you want a spouse, right? So let's say somebody's praying for a spouse, you go to church, you're begging God for a spouse, but you're not doing the back end of it. You're not uh, you know, you're you're not working on the trauma that you used to deal with. You're not, you know, what I mean is that get healed and that like work on it, like you know, like let's say you have a snappy attitude or you want to control people or things like that. You gotta work on that stuff. You gotta work on that stuff. You gotta ask the Lord, hey Lord, show me what is preventing me from having a spouse. What is it, Lord? Is it uh, you know, does my spouse want somebody that has shorter hair? You want me to cut my hair, whatever it is. I'm just saying, right? And the Lord can show you, you know, hey, you know, I'm gonna, he could, he like you can know that God has a spouse for you. You can know in your heart that God's desire for you is to get married, and you can ask the Lord, Lord, what do I have to do to prepare myself? Do I prepare my finances? Do I have to learn how to clean better in my house? Do I have to learn how to cook or do I have to learn how to forgive my ex, you know, whatever it is. Right? Do I have to learn how to be um this or that? And God can teach you and show you. It's a relationship, guys. It's a relationship. God's not holding things back from you because like he just likes to play games with you. You know what I mean? He's not holding back your blessings or your breakthrough because he's like, I'm gonna hold it back because I don't like this one. No, he loves you unconditionally, he's your father. Father God's your father. He's not holding, he's not like, oh, there's the blessings. I'm not giving any to this individual. Oh, I'm not healing this person, I'm not gonna do anything for you. Right? So, what I like to do, I call it the blessing stealer. So you find somebody that in your church or you know, whatever, and they're like, Yeah, God blessed me with this nice car. Then you go to the Lord and you remind the Lord that you he blessed another child of his with a nice car. You'd like a nice car if it's in his will for you, right? That's why testimonies are so important. You know, you need healing, go online and find the healing. You know, let's say you need healing, and uh let's say you're dealing with MS. Well, go online, look up MS healing uh testimonies or healing testimonies and start watching them and then praying and Lord, hey, you bless this person with healing, they received it. So I'm gonna believe I'm gonna receive it. I'm gonna ask you in faith. So you remember the only thing that pleases God. What is it, guys? What is the only thing that pleases God in heaven? Is it how good you pray? Is it how many times you fasted today? Is it how much money you gave to your local church or ministries? Is it feeding the orphans? What's the only thing that pleases God? Those things are good, right? Don't get me wrong. Doing works is good. We're supposed to be people of good works, but it's supposed to come from a place of what? Faith. And if you look at faith as trust, like I just look at it as like a like you're walking in trust. You're trusting Jesus. You're you're just trusting him. You're trusting him. You know, one thing I I really struggled with, guys, was uh um one thing I really struggled with was um forgiveness. It was very hard for me to receive forgiveness. One, I was guilt-tripped as a child sometimes, nothing against my mom or dad, but sometimes I felt like I was guilt-tripped. It's okay, no big deal. Um and then I was hard on myself. I went through a lot of rejection growing up. Um, you know, my family or my my my home life wasn't the greatest all the time, which everybody can say, right? You know, no big deal. Nobody's perfect. So I went through all this stuff and then sorry to yawn. Um then I get I get saved. Okay, so then I I confess Jesus, Lord. I hope we'll find a way on YouTube. I think that's Brandy. Good to see you, Brandy. So, like you you get um you get these programming. So I was programmed with rejection and condomation and guilt and all this stuff, and everybody is by the world system in a way. Then you get saved, and then you make a mistake, or you have this sinless perfectionism doctrine, which I had, where I thought I was perfecting myself in the flesh, and then I was under the law because why? I thought I was gonna fulfill the law in myself, and so then the devil would start condemning me, and receiving forgiveness was the hardest thing for me. Hey, welder for Jesus, good to see you on YouTube, right? So that was like the hardest thing for me was to receive forgiveness, and so I would make a mistake, sin, transgress, I would do stupid things, and then I would confess them to God or repent, as they say, right? I repent of it, and then I would do them again, and I would do them again. Some things I would go two weeks and then do it again, smoking cigarettes. I was addicted to that, I couldn't stop it. I would say, Lord, I'm never gonna smoke again, and then I'd throw out the cigarettes, and then I'd have to go buy another pack, spend all this money in cigarettes. And I learned forgiveness, you have to believe that Christ is enough for you to be forgiven. If you are like a lot of times, people that I counsel, like in pastoral counseling, I talk with people all the time, I minister to them. The number one thing that I have found is that people are trying to one perfect themselves in the flesh. They're trying to live a perfect life and never make give any, uh, give any uh grace to themselves. So they have no grace like for mistakes or anything. You just you live this really hard life, Christian life, watching your P's and Q's, eggshells, they call walking on eggshells. You have no grace for yourself. You make a mistake and it's like end of the world. Like you just are it's just the end of the world. Absolutely. We don't want to make mistakes. First John says, I write these things to you. So what? So you don't sin. But if any man sins, we have an advocate with the Father, Jesus Christ, the righteous. So he's the propetition for our sins. So God knows that you can't be perfect in yourself. That's why Jesus came. And then now we're perfect in him and we're transforming now. So you need to give yourself grace for those areas of your life that God is still working on you. And if you're in bondage in a certain area, you feel like you're in bondage, you have to disconnect from the belief you're in bondage. Like if you if you're dealing with addiction, okay, drugs, alcohol, whatever it is. You need to start believing that you died. That's that's the truth, guys. Believe that you died with Christ and you're no longer under the law. Because what happens is, is when you're under the law, you're trying to uh you're you are trying to um fulfill the law in yourself, you're trying to be perfect in yourself instead of surrendering to God's grace. So the law brings you to the end of yourself. And so I had to come to the end of myself to be delivered from a lot of things. So, like you're struggling with something, come to the end of yourself and realize you can't do it on your own. Just I can't do it, Lord. One time I did that and the thing left the next day. I woke up. I was like, oh, I don't have any desire to do that anymore. God delivered me overnight. He's done that twice. Like two big things. Hey Amber, good to see you on YouTube. Thanks for saying hi, right? So if you're really struggling with an addiction or something, you've tried everything, or you have friends that are struggling, they just need to get out of themselves and get rid of self-righteousness. You can't be delivered on your own. You could you could you could go to meetings and say, oh yeah, um, I don't drink anymore, but you it's gonna switch over to some other addiction, probably.
unknownRight?
SPEAKER_00Unless God delivers you. So you could stop drinking, but you might smoke a bunch of cigarettes or overeat all the time or have some other addiction that you replaced it with, right? But true deliverance comes through grace, through understanding Jesus died for you, and that you're now saved by grace through faith and not by work. So you're not saved by your behavior. You got to get that out of your head. Your behavior shows what you believe. So when somebody's in the youth group running around being a being a little idiot, they're you know, sinning all the time, they're manifesting what they believe. They believe they're a sinner. You know, I'm just a sinner saved by grace, people say in church. I'm just a sinner saved by grace. I'm gonna fail all the time. I'm just a sinner. What are you doing? You're uh you're identifying with your old life, you're a righteous person that makes mistakes occasionally, you're a righteous person that God's helping transform. You're a righteous person learning righteousness, you're a righteous person learning how to walk in love and forgiveness. No, you're not perfect, absolutely not in yourself, but God is transforming you. The things that you struggled with five years ago, hopefully you're not struggling with them today, and then you're supposed to grow. And Paul said, Am I still perfect yet? No, I'm not. I'm forgetting those things behind. You see, you have to accept the forgiveness of Jesus to be free. So you're struggling, you have to accept that you're forgiven despite your behavior. And once you start believing that you're forgiven despite your behavior, then the behavior stops. See, that's like a it's like an amazing supernatural thing. Once you start believing that you're loved despite the behavior, if you're really saved, if you got the Holy Ghost, if you believe the truth that your behavior has nothing to do with God and you, because he does not count your sins against you, he will allow chastening in your life, but you're basically doing the chastening in a way, like he allows it, but you're doing it because you're just believing a bunch of lies. Right? So if you start drinking all the time, well eventually you could be chastened. How? I don't know, D UI. Hi, Katie. Katie on Facebook says, hi Nick, I I'm being set free from uh free by for by this forgiveness. Praise God, amen. Thank you for your your comment. Amen. Amen. So believing, believing that you're forgiven is like a super key, guys. And I'm gonna end with this, okay? I don't want to keep talking forever and ever. I can though because I'm a teacher, right? So sometimes when you teach, you can just keep talking to preachers, the teachers, okay? So you can you can you can keep oh sorry, I'm I'm clicking the wrong thing here. All right. So if you know somebody that's struggling with identity issue, addiction, depression, whatever it is, teach them about the cross that they are forgiven. And you'll find that people don't actually accept forgiveness because of their past trauma or their belief system, and they need to renew their mind on the on the truth, the cross. The truth is it's the simplicity of Jesus. You were without strength. Christ died for you to bring you to get back together with God, and now you're a daughter or a son of God, you're one with him, and that this is a gift of God. It's not by your work, so it's not by your good or bad behavior. While we were still sinners, Christ died for us. So now that you're born again, you need to start believing that Jesus' blood cleanses you all the time, 24-7. Walk in the light, walk in honesty with God, confess your sins to one another, right? If you have a group of people you pray with, you know, you don't want to get all into the dirty, but you might want to find people that you, that you uh, that you trust and talk with them about your struggles. You know, I know people that just tell everybody what they're sinning all the time. Well, you don't need to do that. Find somebody you trust, talk with them, and they can pray for you, right? And the Bible says if somebody tells you their sins, right, you don't you don't want to be tempted by that, right? Make sure you're not tempted by that, right? Somebody could confess, hey, I like to, you know, I like to do this sometimes, and then you start getting tempted to do it because they're doing it or something, right? Amen. And so you want to help other Christians. If they confess something to you, what do you do? You let them know. You know, if somebody confesses something to you, that means it's on their heart. They're not just, they're not, you know, like in in Corinthians, the guy was sleeping with his father's wife, so his stepmother, and then he was boasting about it. He wasn't confessing it in a confessional way, he was boasting that he was doing the sexual sin. And then everybody in the church was like, oh, we have freedom like that. Well, wonderful. And then Paul had to what? Talk with them and rebuke them, tell them, no, that's not the way to go. Kick the guy out because he's boasting of his sins. So there's a difference between boasting of your sins and confessing your sins to one another or your trespasses, right? So, you know, you got those friends, you got those people you trust, talk with them about your struggle, have them pray for you. But you have to, if somebody does that for you, you have to let them know they're forgiven and talk about. What the forgiveness of Christ looks like, and that we're forgiven forever. We're made holy one time. And so then you confess, you forsake. And then they'll come to you and say, you know, a lot of times what happens is if somebody does something, then they have kind of excuse, like, oh, you know, it's just a weakness. Okay, that's fine. But then what they do is they keep coming back to you and telling you all the stuff because they're manipulating you now. Now they want attention. So some people start doing that. They'll they'll, oh, I got the, you know, you listen to their, you know, you're counseling them or whatever. And then then they'll they'll keep having the problem and keep coming to you because it can turn into manipulation. Now they're manipulating you, taking your time, your energy, all that stuff. So what you gotta do is set up healthy boundaries and lead them right back to the cross. Right back to the cross. And then you have to put it on them. Okay, you're forgiven now. Remember, you're forgiven. They call you up again. You're forgiven. Remember, keep moving forward, keep moving forward. What does the Bible say about forgiveness? What does the Bible say about confession? What does the Bible say? If any man sinned, we have an advocate with the Father, Jesus Christ the righteous. Are you born again? Okay, you're forgiven. Move forward, move forward, move forward. Oh, you have that personality issue, you have that identity issue, you're struggling with depression. What's the Bible say? You're healed by his wounds, you're delivered by his by his wounds. You're delivered. The punishment for our peace is upon him. And by stripes, we are healed. We were healed. So the punishment for our peace. So the early church knew this, and that's why Peter could say, you know, this is what they talked about. So this is why Peter could say, by his wounds you were healed. See, because you is past tense, you were healed, just like you were made holy. So you're already healed in eternity somehow. It's just now it's renewing your mind and receiving from the spirit at the perfect time, you will get the promise. Just because you prayed for five minutes and then it didn't happen, or you went to the miracle crusade and you didn't get healed, but the guy next to you did, doesn't mean God doesn't love you. It's the narrow road. There's something God's teaching you, He's trying to grow you. It's like if you had a bunch of kids, let's say you have 10 kids, let's say they're all uh they're all the same age, let's say they're all 10 years old. Okay. You're gonna try to teach them how to grow up to 11, 12, whatever. Well, little little Bobby over here learns different than uh than Julie over here. So Julie and little Bobby are gonna get a little bit different training than Robert over here, or or Tim over here, or John over here, or or Susie Q, whatever. So that you're gonna have different trainings. So everybody's at a different training according to how God deals with you. So I'm on a different training than you are, you're on a different training than your pastor was or is. Okay, so just remember that. Try to get that different perspective, and when it doesn't look right, and you're like, Lord, I don't understand, that's when you need to get in the back of the boat. The disciples are or in a boat with the Son of God who's doing all these miracles, feeding the 5,000, raising people from the dead, limbs growing back, eyes being healed, all this stuff. And then they're just like, eh, let's chill, let's go across the lake with Jesus, the Son of God, and boom, a huge typhoon comes. That was not part of the plan. With they were supposed to go in smooth water. This is all gonna work out, see? So you start your business, you're like, oh yeah, this is great. You start your ministry, you go, everything's going well, or you get married, all this stuff's going well, and then the storm comes and you're like, I don't understand. What do you think the disciples they didn't understand? And what did they do? They went into fear. Where was Jesus the whole time? Resting in the back of the boat with the Father. Why? Because Jesus knew his purpose, he knew the father loved him. So your purpose is as a son or daughter of God, you can rest in the back of the boat with Jesus. So let's do that. Let's rest with Jesus in our struggles or in whatever we're dealing with. Rest with him. And the way I do it is I really just let's say sit in a chair, lay down, and I just calm my mind, my heart, and I just tell the Lord, I trust you. And it's okay to tell him, hey, I'm dealing with fear in this situation. Or, you know, I don't feel good about myself without having a nicer car. Or, you know, I would really like a promotion at work. Lord, what's your plan? And you'll find that God's plan is always to prosper you and to give you health. And prosperity to God looks differently than just giving you a million dollars. Yes, that can be part of it. But he wants you to prosper what? In the spirit. He wants you to know him. The number one thing is for the Father to know you. That's what he wants. He wants you to really know him, he wants you to feel saved all the time. You know what I mean? He wants you to know you're saved. And all those voices and all the people telling you on the internet, you know, you lose your salvation every 10 seconds, all this stuff, guys. It's to get you away from believing you're forgiven. See? Because when you don't feel forgiven, you sin, you get pulled into bondage. You get pulled into things. If you're a born-again Christian, you should walk in knowing you are forgiven despite your behavior. You are saved despite your behavior. And some people, this is hard for you to get, some of you. I'm telling you that if you truly believe you're forgiven, the nature that lives inside of you won't want to go do dumb things. Okay. Katie, Katie says, Yes, amen. I just overcame a terrible scary wall of fear and rejection, but I kept my peace and trusted he will give me peace, and he did. See? So it goes back to trusting in the cross. So no matter what, no matter where you're listening or watching this, just always remember I said this you can trust the cross of Jesus. Amen. You can trust his word, you can trust that he died for your sins and rose from the dead, and he's seated at the right hand of the Father, always making intercession for you. So he's always making intercession for you. Always. Not just when you're doing good or you're feeding the homeless people. Even when you feel like you're backslidden, even when you feel like you're in bondage, he's always making intercess uh intercession for you. Okay. Just because things take time, remember, perseverance is how you build character. And it's not all, you know, roses all the time. You know? It's not all you guys be in ministry for a while, you'll find that there's a lot of people going through a lot of bad stuff that you can't explain. You know, I met people that were good Christian people, and their kids were good Christian kids, you know, and bad stuff happened to their family. Why? Hey, that's not my job. My job is to encourage people with the truth, that God somehow can be in everything. Look at Job, right? I don't understand it. God can be in your situation, so encourage yourself that God cares, He cares for you, but you have to believe the truth because the truth is what sets you free. If you don't believe the truth that you're forgiven, how will you ever be free from condemnation? How will you ever be free from voices, from torment, from depression, from schizophrenia, from all these things? How are you ever gonna be free unless you truly embrace forgiveness through Jesus Christ? You know, I used to confess what I was saying earlier, I'll go back to and then I'll end. I used to confess, I used to confess my sins all the time. Like things I did in the past, because I've I've done a lot of dumb things, guys. Even after being saved, I've done a lot of dumb things, a lot of dumb choices. I've you know, past past sins have flared up in my life. I'm just being being transparent. I think anybody who's walked with the Lord for a a while can say that they've had a time of uh rebellion or backsliding or whatever, but God was always faithful to bring me back. Okay, I'm not excusing bad behavior, I'm just saying we we have people do fall, I have fallen, fallen, all sorts of stuff, okay? But God always brings us back if we're truly born again, and then we have to deal with the chastening or whatever we got ourselves into while we're being idiots, and so you learn not to make dumb choices in the future. Why? Because you don't, because God wants you to live a good life, okay? So God wants us to live a good life. Bad choices equals bad stuff, death, decay, decay of life, all that stuff. Why go there? I want to live a good life, okay? So I had to learn. God had to teach me as a father, all right. He's still teaching me, he's teaching you, okay. So anyway, so but I used to pray and confess my sins to God, which is good, okay. But I would overly do it. So what happens is you get these teachings where they're like, oh, don't confess your sins to God, you're forgiven. Yeah, you never have to confess or anything like that. But it says that you can confess your sins to God. We're supposed to confess our trespasses to one another. We're supposed to be transparent and honest, but not be like OCD about it, like obsessed with it, right? Because then you become sin focused. So if it's really on your heart and you feel like you really did something wrong that you shouldn't have, then you want to confess to God and talk with him about it if it's bothering you. But you don't want to sit there and confess every little thing, you know, that the devil's telling you you messed up with. You want to believe that God forgives you and his grace covers you, okay? So you want to have that knowledge that you're forgiven. But when you feel on your heart that you should talk to the Lord about something, then do it. It feels good to confess and forsake. It really does. Confess, forsake your sins, and you'll find mercy. Okay, so back to uh, because you don't want to be connected to the condemnation, the guilt. You don't want to be connected in your emotions to that sin anymore. You want to let that go because the devil can use that to just mess with you, cause discouragement, cause all sorts of stuff, lies in your head, strongholds come, all that stuff. Okay, so anyway, so back to always confessing my sins, but I would confess like all the big ones I did two years ago, three years ago. I talked to God about it. And I just remember like the Lord would, I felt like the Lord told me, Well, I want you to stop confessing all this. If you've confessed your sins, stop like you need to let it go. You need to believe you're forgiven. Because what happens is you don't believe you're forgiven. You know, if you're confessing sins that you did a year ago that you've already talked to God about eight times, are you really believing you're forgiven? Okay, so look at yourself. Are you confessing things that last week you've already confessed to God? Are you truly trusting that you're forgiving? So, Lord, I just uh thank you for this uh broadcast. I thank you, Lord, for all the people watching. Thank you for uh forgiveness, Lord, that you are you are helping people receive forgiveness of sins uh in their heart, in their mind, that they they bel that they would start truly believing that they're forgiven despite how they feel or what the devil's trying to tell them. Lord, I thank you that everybody who calls in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ shall be saved. I thank you that everybody who calls in your name, Lord, can be saved, can be filled with your Holy Spirit. I thank you, Lord, that you are moving us up forward. You are moving us closer to you. Thank you for all the challenges in my life and in the lives of others, because you're going to glorify yourself through them somehow. I pray that you would encourage everybody out there in Jesus' name. Thank you, Lord. And Lord, I pray for anybody that really needs a touch from your Holy Spirit today that they would feel your love today, that they would be comforted. Let them know, Lord, that you hear their prayers. Thank you, Lord, that I mean your word already says it, that you hear the prayers of the righteous, and we are righteous because we believe in Jesus Christ. Amen. Jesus' name. Thank you, Father. Thank you, Holy Spirit, for being here. Thank you, Lord, that the angels minister to us. I thank you for the wonderful open doors that you're giving us. I thank you, Lord, for peace that passes all understanding. And I thank you, Lord, that you are with us even if we feel you or don't feel you. You're you're always with us. God always hears his people, and we can boldly come to your throne of grace and ask for help in time of need. Lord, I thank you that your flesh was the veil that was torn, and then now we have entrance into the Holy of Holies, and it's a gift. You we have been gifted the Messiah. We have been gifted eternal life, we have been gifted forgiveness, we have been gifted holiness, we have been gifted, Jesus, and we thank you, Lord. Thank you, Lord, that the gifts and callings of God are irrevocable. Thank you that you've called us and that you've gifted us, the Lord Jesus Christ. Thank you that you've filled us with his spirit. We thank you, Holy Spirit, for living inside of our bodies and transforming us. Amen. All right. I always start to feel good when I pray. So I could pray for I'm left. I love prayer, guys.
