Hey everybody, how's it going? Nick Grimsman, Holy Ghost Television. This is Spirit Stream number sixty-one. We're at sixty-one. Can you believe it? It's a hot day out here in Phoenix, Arizona. Um, leave me a comment. Let me know where you're uh listening or watching from. I really uh appreciate those that leave comments. Let me know that you like watching or listening, or give me a heart or share something. I think that's uh nice. Okay, so let's start off with prayer and then we're gonna see where the Lord leads us. I got uh my little dog over here, little Timmy. He's looking out the window, so he might bark uh if he sees his friends or something. You know how that is. He sees his friends and then he wants to go to the dog park with them. So all right, thank you, Lord. Spirit Stream 61, Father, thank you so much. Lord, thank you for getting me uh through so many things in life, and for helping others uh that hear this or watch this get through the things in life that they're trying to get through. And Lord, I thank you that you're our comforter, I thank you that you're our teacher, our healer, our deliverer, and you hear the prayers of the righteous. And Lord, I pray for great deliverance and healing to take place with those viewing this or hearing it or however that works. Thank you, Lord. I ask for the anointing of the Holy Ghost. I ask for the angels to minister uh to the heirs of salvation as I speak, and I ask that your word would be uh used as a sword against strongholds and the enemy so that your people can walk freer and freer as they transform into the image of your Son, Jesus of Nazareth. Thank you that we're all transforming, Lord, and you're helping us transform. Thank you, Lord Jesus, for being patient and kind and graceful for with us and everything, Lord. Thank you for the anointing to teach and preach and to talk and to help your people. In Jesus' name I pray, God. Amen. Thank you. Years ago, I started uh when I started preaching, I uh I get really nervous. I've talked about this before, but I don't know if I've said this specifically. Um, I used to get really nervous preaching. Uh maybe that's you, maybe you want to be a pastor or preacher, evangelist, or something, and you're just not good at public speaking. Um, I had a friend that was dealing with public speaking in their corporation. He had to talk to like executive team members, you know, like CEOs. This is like a national corporation, so we're talking big wigs, you know. Big time people, right? So, you know, he had to do these uh hey Amber over there on YouTube. Thanks for tuning in. She says, Hey, Neg and little uh little Timmy, praise God. I almost said little Amber. I don't know what's going on, guys. God is good. So uh what I was saying was that he had to do all this teaching and stuff, and or uh he had to talk in front of all these people, do a presentation, and I and I reminded her, I tried to encourage this person, and and what I did is I took from my own testimony, you know, I used to be really nervous and scared and fearful to preach and talk in public. And one time I felt like the Lord, I was praying about it and trying to get ready for a sermon and everything. And I felt like the Lord spoke to my heart and said, just go out and you're just talking to you, have a chat with people, have a talk with people. Don't look at it as like formal preaching, don't look at it as like this formal thing. And so that's what I do. I get on live stream, I don't even know what I'm gonna talk about today, and I just start chatting with you and see where the Lord takes it. It's pretty amazing, and so that's what I told the person. I said, you know, you should do that. You should just chat with them because if you put a lot of pressure on yourself, then you're gonna notice all your mistakes, you know. You notice all your mistakes and you notice all the little stuff. Another thing, hi June over on YouTube. Thanks for stopping by. So I used to um uh so you I used to do like taped videos. I don't really like taped videos that much, like uh taped audio, taped video teachings, because uh through trial and error, I started learning that live stream was easier than like trying to record a teaching. So now if you like, if you know, I'll do a live stream and then I'll maybe snip it and then do that's like the recorded teaching, but it was done live. So I prefer live all the time uh because I found like recording stuff, I would notice every little thing I did wrong, you know, like maybe I itched my nose too much, or I said um too much, and then I have to go back and I could delete it and I'll sorry hit the screen, right? Or hit the computer, okay? So uh yeah, you know, like so God will train you on how to be a public speaker or how to do videos or teachings online. And for me, it was just a lot easier to see it, see it as talking, having a chat with people, like basically like, hey, have a chat with people. So I'm like, all right. So now I just have a chat with you, and I do it on, I do it live. So anything can happen. I mean, my dogs start barking, I could fall out of the chair. I mean, I don't know what could happen, right? Somebody can knock on the door. It's it's uh more fun like this, but it's it's actually simpler for me than to sit here and say, okay, today I'm gonna talk about deliverance, and here's all my notes, and then I record it, and then like I, you know, then I get really technical, like in my head about everything. Like, oh, I screwed up here, I did that. So it's like a perfectionism type thing. That's what I'm trying to get at. And even when I write books and things and post online, you'll see sometimes I make errors and uh I'll catch them, but usually I'll leave one error or two errors because I dealt with this real perfectionism. And I used to do that with tithing when I was a religious tither. I used to give 10% of my uh my paycheck or whatever, gross or net or however you do it, right? However, you know, whatever, however you you want to do it. But I used to do like, let's say it was uh let's say I made a thousand dollars or whatever. I'll show you, for example, uh, or nine hundred and ninety-eight dollars or something. Then so my tithe would be like nine or whatever, ninety-nine dollars and eighty cents or whatever, whatever it is, right? I'm not trying to do the math right now, but ninety-nine, whatever. I would always go over like by like three dollars or four dollars or five dollars or fifty cents to make sure I hit the 10% mark. So I had like this mindset of legalism and it was programmed into me. And so you might be one of those people that have this kind of legalistic and perfection OCD type mindset where things have to be like really perfect, and like if you write something, it has to be like perfect. If you post something, if you take a picture, it has to be perfect, you know, and that could be tormenting for you. For me, it was tormenting, and so I just learned to let it go. And if I didn't dot an I or cross a T, I kind of just let it go sometimes. Not that big of a deal. Like if you read some of my books, you might notice something. I probably noticed it too. I just left it there because I want to be free from legalism and perfectionism type mindset. Because you what am I trying to do here? Am I trying to be a um, you know, write school books and and make it perfect, and they're gonna teach it in Harvard? That's not that's not what I'm doing here. I'm trying to help you discover the Lord Jesus Christ, help you discover his goodness and his grace and his mercy. Um, I've been going through some things personally last few weeks, uh, and it's been really hard. It's been um stressful, frustrating, all that stuff. But you know, I was driving the other day and I realized that it's only a season. So remember, things are only for a season. So if you're in a really hard season, try to encourage yourself that this season is not forever. Okay, it's not forever. And so try to encourage yourself that this is a season. So you're in recovery from substance abuse or mental health or physical stuff, and you have to go to the doctor, whatever. You're in recovery, it's a season. You know, maybe you're in a real you're stuck in a really bad spot financially. It's a season. The the amazing thing about the Lord is that he's training you in righteousness. That's what he's doing all the time. And we stunt our growth by lack of surrender. So instead of surrendering, getting angry at God all the time because you have to ride the bus and you don't have a car, you get stuck because you're not surrendering that part of your soul to him, that trust or that um rebellion or whatever that piece of your soul is. You're holding on to it like an idol. Okay. And so what you want to do is you want to, you don't want to say I don't have feelings, because you do have feelings and you do go through things. You want to accept that you're dealing with the feelings and you're dealing with situations because it's a fact. You don't want to like live in la la land, right? But go to the truth that, okay, I ride a bus right now, but one day I'm gonna drive a nice car, Lord, because you're faithful to me. And I'm gonna have a good attitude and encourage myself in this situation instead of complaining and getting angry and thinking God doesn't love me. You know, I met people that, you know, they they come to service for in wheelchairs and they want God to immediately heal them instantly, which I totally get it. If you're in a wheelchair, I totally get it. It's probably horrible. I'm not judging anybody, I have empathy for you. But some people come down for prayer, they get prayer, they cry. Seems like God touches them, and then they wheel themselves out of the service. And I met people where they start getting angry at God. They go to every service, they go to prayer, they're not healed yet. They're not healed yet. So, what do they do? Start complaining, say they hate God, all sorts of stuff, thinking God doesn't love them. So they allow their big emotions, which it's a fact, they're going through big emotions, right? It's it's it's a big deal. Got no problem accepting that, right? But you can't let those emotions get you into unbelief and doubt and rebellion and all that stuff, because that's not from your new nature. So when you are listening to lies and you are acting out of your soulish realm in a way that is like fleshly, then you're you're like basically going from you, you're basically resurrecting your old man and you're living in the realm of the flesh. So you start reaping from the realm of the flesh. So if you live in doubt and unbelief, you're just gonna reap whatever's in the flesh, whatever's gonna come at you that way. You're just gonna start reaping stuff. So the answer to it is to hold on to faith in Jesus Christ, rest in Christ in you, the hope of glory, and in his word. That that's what you're supposed to be doing. You're supposed to rest in the finished work of Jesus and believe the truth. You're supposed to submit to him, right? So submission is believing in Jesus Christ and letting go or submitting those areas of your soul or your body or whatever that you know is not of the fruit of the spirit or from a godly area to God. You submit to God and then you resist or reject or disagree with the devil. So I just look at it as like disagreements. So the devil might tell you this this season's gonna last for another 10 years, or that disease is never gonna get healed, or you're never gonna get you're never gonna get out of the wheelchair, or you're never gonna get a car, whatever the lie is, right? You can either receive the lie and then it builds to an emotion, right? It'll build to an emotion of fear, of frustration, of anger, of self-hatred, of condemnation, and then it becomes a personality in you. And then pretty soon you're walking around with rejection and anger and condemnation, and you start condemning people, and you become this religious, angry person because you were believing a lie. And then you received it more, and it got into your emotions, and it grew bigger, and then it became a personality, and then you have this big stronghold, and then you pray and cry to God, and you don't know why you're not delivered yet. So as you're going through deliverance or as you're seeking God for deliverance or healing, start peeling yourself off of those agreements with the enemy, and they could be subconscious, right? You could be traumatized from childhood and have a subconscious thought process that the enemy's holding on to. And you might not be strong enough spiritually yet for God to reveal that to you for you to resist it and let it go. Like, for example, I smoked cigarettes for many years, and I never understood why why my uh uh why it took so long to get free from cigarettes. Like I was crying to God every night, you know, I was I was uh fasting, I was praying, I was asking every pastor in Phoenix to pray for me. I was doing deliverance on myself. Hey Martine on Facebook, good to see you, you know, and I was doing all these things. I was I was um doing everything they tell you to do, right? You want deliverance. You stop sinning, you cry out to God every day, you fast, you pray, you you get accountability partners, you take the courses, you take the sozo, you go to the prayer meetings, you go to church every week, every day, whatever, you go to worship events, whatever it is. You do all volunteer, you do all these things, and you're still in bondage. And you're like, what is going on? Why am I still smoking? For example, for me, why am I still stuck smoking cigarettes? I hate it, I don't like doing it. Okay. But after I got delivered from cigarettes, God eventually delivered me from it because he's faithful, amen. Just like he's gonna deliver you. He already did 2,000 years ago. Sometimes it takes some time to receive. I don't know why. I'm not gonna, you know, it could be right now, you're gonna receive deliverance today. I'm gonna pray for you at the end of this. You might get delivered from cigarettes, or you might get delivered from alcoholism, or you might get delivered or healed of a disease, right? Because we're two agree, touching in one thing, it shall be done by our father in heaven. It might happen instantly. But with me, in that situation with the with the smoking, I started when I was 13 years old and I smoked all the way, you know, I was like 26 at the time, I think. So 13 years of my life, I smoked. And uh I smoked a lot, like I smoked one to three packs of cigarettes a day. Marlboro Reds. Ugh. Anyway, I was a big smoker. But after I got delivered from it, I realized I got, you know, I started to see that it was inside my personality. We're gonna pray for you, Renee, if you stick around, okay? On YouTube, I see it says I wish I could quit nicotine. Okay. First of all, there's no condemnation for you. God loves you if you smoke or whatever you do with nicotine. God loves you and He's in the battle with you. Okay. All right, so you have the um you have this programming. So I had this programming from when I was a kid. So I latched on to cigarettes for some reason. I, you know, maybe it was a curiosity and I got addicted, or my family smoked, or whatever it was, I got it. And then I used it as a crutch, like a like a friend, a familiar friend, like a familiar spirit. So an addiction can be like a familiar spirit. So if you think of it as like it's a familiar thing, it's your friend, it's something you do to relax or to calm down or to feel good, or to have something, you know, to have something to do, to keep busy. So it becomes like a familiar friend. But when you do it when you're young, and it's lasted a long time, it becomes like a piece of your personality. So you could be struggling with an addiction for 50 years. Think how deep that addiction is inside of you. 50 years, let's say you've had this addiction for 50 years. So it got ingrained, let's say, when you were 10 years old. Now you're 60 years old, and you're you, you know, you want deliverance from it. But there's a lot of stuff in there that it's a could be intertwined, like a network, a stronghold, a castle. Remember, this strongholds are like castles built brick by brick, and they're intertwined. So for me, my major issue was anxiety when I was young and rejection.
SPEAKER_01Okay.
SPEAKER_00And cigarettes was like the mask to it, like the it held on to it. So imagine like a couple bricks of uh uh cigarettes, addiction, rejection, abandonment, um, self-hatred, all this stuff, and then inside that, and then wrapped around that stronghold is smoking. So it's like a strong man in a way, if that makes sense. So I can get really deep with this stuff, guys, but it's really actually quite simple if you can just kind of read the word and understand that you are dead. You died with Christ. Okay, you are dead, your life is now hidden in Christ. You were buried with him in baptism and you're risen in newness of life. So I am no longer an addict. You are no longer an addict, you are no longer addicted to anything. Okay, but your mind and your emotions tell you that you're still that addict, or it holds on to that personality of addiction. But your true self is Christ in you, the hope of glory. See, you're a new creation, you have a new heart and a new mind. You have the mind of Christ, which needs to transform your brain, right? So you have a carnal mind, you have the mind of Christ. I know I teach about this stuff a lot, but I think this is gonna help people, okay? That's why I teach it because this is what I see all the time. So, so you have the you have the stronghold of cigarettes, and then I had condemnation, religious condemnation, because I had a sinless perfectionism doctrine. So I thought, you know, I had to be this perfect person in the flesh, or God wasn't wasn't gonna let me in heaven, or God didn't like me, or I was never gonna get delivered. And so I had the cigarette stronghold, and then the condemnation came. And then here I was smoking and crying to God about the addiction. But what was really the problem? Was it the addiction? See, so you're seeing your addiction, the the addiction, it's not yours, remember, the addiction as the problem, or the sickness as a problem, or the depression as a problem, or the finances as a problem, but maybe it's wrapped around something that God's trying to get to inside. So for me, rejection. I never felt like I knew God loved me in my brain, like I knew that, and I've experienced God's love, but I didn't really know I could trust him, and God's still working on that with me. You know, I've been to 50 countries with the Lord by myself. I've been all over the place, and God's always taken care of me. I had, you know, he taught me how to trust him in different areas of the world. You know, and so he taught me that way. He taught me through finances, he taught me, you know, I had to go through scary things with finances and then realize that God, I can trust God. Health stuff. I've been through stuff with health, mental health, addictions, uh, betrayal, rejection from people, you know, all these things, and it's like God was training me in righteousness, training me to trust Him. Because remember, faith is basically the word trust, confidence, trust. So do you trust God? And when you're going through this stuff, hold on to faith, hold on to trusting God's word. Everyone who calls the name of the Lord shall be delivered. So we're gonna pray for Renee on YouTube, and everyone who calls the name of the Lord shall be delivered. So one day, you know, Renee's gonna continue to go forward with the Lord, and she's gonna, this person's gonna believe that they're they're gonna walk free from Nicotine, that's what they commented, right? And then maybe next week, next year, 10 years from now, this person could text me or email me online, or however we do that, and say, Hey, you were the one that you prayed for me to be delivered. Okay. And you know, it wasn't instant, or I got instantly healed, or whatever it is. But one day, because this person's sincere, they can be delivered, right? They'll be delivered. See, we walk in the light as he is in the light, and we have fellowship one another, and the blood of Jesus Christ, his son, cleanses us from all unrighteousness. So, what's walking in the light? Walking in truth, walking in faith, walking in love, walking with an honest heart. So, really, I've learned to just have an honest heart with the Holy Spirit. Just be honest. Because a lot of times we try to hide stuff. Like, for example, Renee, when we're praying for you, we're gonna ask the Lord, Lord, is there a something that's that you want me to understand about why maybe I uh deal with this addiction or where it came in, or you know, is it something programmed in there? And maybe God can minister you to you in that way, and then next week the addiction will go away. Like when you know you're forgiven, it's easy to receive healing, it's easier to receive deliverance, it's easier to feel free, be free, it's easier to be joyful, it's easier to go through trials. When you know you're forgiven, and self-righteousness never wants you to feel forgiven. It won't you know, condemnation comes in, it wants you to feel like you're not good enough, you're not doing enough. How many times have you said that to yourself? I don't do enough for Jesus, I don't give enough, I don't pray enough, I you know, I'm this, I'm that, I, I, I. It's self-righteousness. So try to peel yourself off of that and start looking at the cross of Jesus Christ of Nazareth. What does the cross say to you? That Jesus was the only person to walk this earth that was perfectly sinless, completely 100% sin free. That he was bruised and beaten and tortured and mocked and hurt and rejected, worse than you've ever been. He's experienced every single negative thing, worse than you will ever experience. His face was marred where you couldn't even tell it was a human anymore. His skin was ripped off through the the cat of nine-tails on his back, the whipping was ripping his skin off. He wore that crown of thorns, dug into his brain, so somebody like me could be healed of mental health issues. I was healed of schizophrenia, incurable schizophrenia, praise God, like 20-something years ago now. Totally restored my brain. Why? Because he wore a crown of thorns for me, he loved me, he bled for me. Jesus Christ bled for me, and he bled for you. And so when you start getting on yourself, oh, I'm gonna get the blessings, I am gonna deliver myself, I'm gonna do this. I am, I am, blah, blah, blah. And you're not getting anywhere, that's a red flag that you've missed the cross, the grace of God. So you're not good enough to be blessed. Hi, Annette on YouTube. Good to see you. Blessings to you, Nick. Praise God. Right? So you're not good enough to be delivered, you'll never be good enough. Like, just come to your senses and repent, change your mind. You're not good enough. Okay, you need to like realize you're not good enough to be blessed in yourself. Your righteousness is but what filthy rags compared to what Christ's righteousness, which God gifted to you. So your gifted righteousness, when you don't believe you're righteous, it's a lot easier to fall into sinful behaviors, to listen to big emotions, to feel sad, to not feel blessed, to start seeing everything around you as negative. You ever met those people that everything's negative around them? It's because they're fully in their flesh. Okay, they're judging everybody, they're uh, you know, they're uh controlling, manipulative, judging, angry, they get offended, they have unforgiveness. They're fully, they're walking in their flesh. They're walking in the flesh nature. Okay, the fallen nature. They're not walking in the spirit. So how do you walk in the spirit? First, you can be born again. Okay, so if you're not born again, we have a prayer line. You can call 1888 know him. You can call at any time, 1888 know him. I can put on the screen. Let me see if that works. Uh no, that's not it. Um, it's right, let me see what goes on the screen. Yeah, right there. 188 know him. You can call for prayer anytime. So the first thing is you have to be born again. That is to be circumcised in your heart, and that comes through the Holy Spirit drawing you to Jesus Christ. So Jesus, like I talked to a lady today, I went to breakfast, talked to the waitress. She said that her um, she said she was gonna go to the navy uh because she had a child and she was thinking about going to the navy. We talked about that, and then to a young lady and said her sisters. I asked her if she ever heard the gospel, and she said, Yeah, my sister, my sister tells me I need to go to church or something. I said, Well, a little more than that. Here, here's the deal here. And I explained to her about uh believing Jesus Christ is the Son of God, that he died for her sins and rose from the dead, died for our sins and rose from the dead. I told her that is the real message here. That's what you got to get in your heart. Is Jesus the Messiah? Did he die on the cross for your sins and raise from the dead? That's your real struggle. You got to figure that out between you and God. And her eyes lit up. She goes, Thank you so much. Thank you. Right? So I got to, you know, do like a little seed plant, right? Of the grace of God, of the truth. That's what people struggle with. They struggle with, is Jesus the Messiah, the Son of God? You know, you people try to argue all these different uh, you know, scriptures in the old testament, new, all this stuff. They try to argue all this stuff, morality, all this stuff. But in reality, it's is Jesus the Messiah, the Son of the Living God? Did he die on the cross for your sins and raise from the dead? That's all. That's all we need to talk about. Everything else will work, will work itself out, right? You don't need to argue with unbelievers about stuff. It's did Jesus die on the cross? Did he come in the flesh? Did he die on the cross for our sins? And did he raise from the dead? Is he seated at the right hand of the Father? Is he gonna come back? Right? That's what people struggle with. So if you believe that with your heart and you confess Jesus as Lord, and you believe with what all your heart that God raised him from the dead, you shall be saved. So you can have a circumcised heart, and then you get baptized in water. Okay, then you go get baptized in water. As you believe, you go and you you make a public confession of faith, right? Declaration of faith. You get baptized in water, you get dunked, and then you are risen to newness of life, and you have a circumcised heart. Okay, you have the Holy Spirit, you have a new heart. And what happens is when you have a new heart, you have to learn to listen to your new heart because you have you have this mind and this emotions, this soul that needs to be transformed, right? And so you can get saved and have a new heart and be doing a bunch of dumb things because your old nature is being pulled, you know, the enemy's trying to trick you into thinking you're still your old person. I remember when I first got saved, I took a nap, I was so happy. I took a nap, I woke up, and then all of a sudden, the uh the uh enemy is literally just trying to convince me I never got saved. Okay, that didn't really happen. That's what he's trying to tell me. That experience didn't really happen. You know, you ever get touched by God, you ever get touched by God, and then you leave church or this or or your prayer room, whatever, and then all of a sudden you start you start here feeling like you're doubting. Like, was that God that touched me? Did I really get the baptism of the Holy Spirit? Can I really pray in tongues? Did God really heal my body? And you start doubting things. Well, that's the enemy trying to steal the seed, right? Trying to steal it from you, trying to steal that experience. Don't let him, guys. Here here's here's the truth, okay? Uh you need to, we all of us, me included, kind of get out of living in our feelings all the time. I mean, it's amazing to feel God, okay? But you will go through seasons where you don't you feel them like you did in maybe the last season or hear them as well. I go through that sometimes. I you know, I don't hear God at all. I'm like, God, where are you? Where are you, God? But I've learned that he wants me to know his word and to trust him. And so if he's speaking to me every day, or if he's not speaking to me, and what I mean is like impressions on my heart, not having a yipp-yap conversation with me, right? God's like here and have a yipp-yap conversation with you. I used to hear voices, guys. You know, when when you I used to deal with schizophrenia 20-something years ago, right? And so you hear, you know, when you're schizophrenic, you hear voices, hallucinations, all sorts of stuff. You think everything's God. You know, those people, oh, I just heard God, he just said this to do this. I just heard God, he said this to do this. Most likely it's not God. Okay, not a yip-yapper. Okay, so look for that impression on your heart. Like I ask God for wisdom, because the Bible says you can ask God for wisdom, and He will give it to you. When you ask what in faith, nothing wavering, don't doubt. Hey, don't go into that doubt. Oh, I ask God for wisdom, He hasn't given it to me yet. Boohoo. No, I pray, I ask God for wisdom, and a week later I'd be driving in my car, and then boom, the answer would come. Okay, so you don't have to uh God's not always instant. It's not he's not like a McDonald's worker. Hide like some chicken nuggets. There you go, boom, see you later, right? That's not like God all the time. Okay, God's not always gonna do instant things for you. Patient, enduring, patient, right? Impatiently enduring. Faith. You have to grow in your faith. So faith is a growth process. So you were a babe in Christ, you walked in the flesh just like Corinthians did. They had people in their church doing all sorts of wilds of suing each other. That is so immature to sue another Christian. It's it's flesh. That's what he said. There's not somebody in your church that can be the judge of you guys. You're making a mockery of Christianity going to the going to the unbelievers and having a fight in front of unbelievers. Can't you guys just just you were wronged? Okay, let it go. It's immature. So if you see people living in the flesh or being fleshly, and they're Christians, and you know, you know they're let's say they make a profession of faith and things, but they have these things where they're they're like in the flesh, they're babes still. I don't care if you've been saved for 30 years, if you still get offended all the time, you're living part of your personality, that's a fleshly attribute, right? Be you know, holding on to offense and anger towards people, that's a stronghold, most likely. But if you if you haven't grown out of it yet, you just it's lack of surrender, or you just didn't know to walk in love. You just didn't, nobody taught you how to walk in the spirit yet, or it's a deep stronghold. I don't know, but you know what I mean? Like when you see stuff and you're you know you're scrolling through Facebook and the person's a famous Christian and they're being weird or whatever. Babies, they say weird stuff. You're like, wow, it's a Christian baby. They're it's still in the flesh, they don't they don't know anything. So, how do we handle these people? You you handle people with love and grace and truth, you lead them to the truth, okay? That somebody's either gonna submit to God's word and and receive, or they're gonna be in rebellion. Oh no, I just want to live in anger and rage and beat people up online and tell everybody I'm a Christian. Yeah, okay. Well, now you're in rebellion because you know, we talked to you, friend, you know, or whatever. I hope that uh I hope you understand. I'm not talking about like being sinlessly perfect, I'm talking about overall lifestyle. If your overall lifestyle is pretty fleshy, right? If you're like a fleshly type person, you're a baby Christian. You could be 20 years, you could know the Lord, you just never served, like wasn't a surrender. There's levels of surrendering. Paul said for us to what the Bible says to um to put to death the deeds of the body or the practices of the body, and you shall live. And so if you want uh to live, you have to surrender your body to the Holy Ghost. Okay, you have to surrender your emotions to the Holy Ghost. But a lot of people they they want to do it their way, or maybe you just didn't know. Maybe you didn't know this. Maybe you just went to a church that told you to tithe and and uh do the bake sale on Saturdays, but Jesus calls us to full surrender. That's why you know I you know I'm against, not against you know, religious tithing for me gives you a little wiggle room. You got 90% of your own money. No, no, no, no, no. Full surrender is a hundred percent. That's all your money. All your money belongs to God, not 10% of your money. I mean, if you want to give 10% as something you do, that's fine. But all your money belongs to God. If God says give 90% of your money or 99.9 or 100%, and you really know it's the Lord, He tells you to sell a house, one of your properties, and give it to the kingdom. That's you know, that's the Lord, right? Hopefully, right? I'm not saying, you know, if you if you feel like it, well, you want to talk Lord about it first. I'm just saying in general, a hundred you have to you want to live your life as your car, your boat, your whatever is all the Lord's. Your bank account, your IRA, all your stuff. It's this is all the Lord's. If the Lord comes to me and tells me, hey, I'm supposed to give 50% of my income to my local church, or I'm supposed to give this to the missionary over in India, or whatever, then you're supposed to say, Yes, Lord, I'll do that. Okay, and it could be 10%. Amen. It could be 5%, it could be 1%, it could be zero. Maybe Lord has you go through a season where you don't give any money and he's teaching you something through it. I don't know. But just be all in, be all in. That's see, that's what I see in uh Western, uh Western uh culture, because I've been around the world, right? Western culture, uh at least, you know, American culture, Western culture is very me, me, me, me, me. Right? What is God gonna give me? Guys, I'll tell you this. Uh, you know, if you're like you should be, you should have the heart of wanting to bless others, not to get things in return. Okay, that that's that's real. It really is. It's like imagine being like uh like think about like kingdom investor. Think of like say you you're just like kingdom investor, okay? I like that word. Kingdom investor. What if you get nothing back? What if you give desiring nothing back here on earth, and you just give because you know it's going to the kingdom of God, and that you'll have a reward in heaven. Isn't that what Jesus basically said? Don't store up for yourself things, treasures on earth where moss comes in, moss, rust comes in, moths, thieves, right? And they steal. But what you want to be rich towards heavenly things, you want to be fully surrendered because when you're fully surrendered to the Lord, he can use you. And it's not like you have to just like, I'm not gonna have any fun in my life, and God's just gonna make me sit in a room, not have any friends, and not that's what I thought. I thought, you know, I you know, God's probably boring, he doesn't know anything I like to do, he doesn't really know me that well. You know, I I learned all this stuff, I had to learn all this stuff, guys. Okay, and then all of a sudden, I felt like the Lord's like, hey, uh you're gonna move. I started getting dreams of going to New York City. This is years ago. I'm like, Lord, I've never been in New York City. So I'm gonna sign my lease, my you know, renew my lease on my apartment in Phoenix. And I felt like the Lord told me, don't right before I was gonna sign it, don't sign the lease. You're gonna sell everything and move to New York City. And I'm like, okay, Lord. So it wasn't like, and I had dreams before and stuff, so I was praying about things, but you know, I was all in. I didn't say, Oh, but Lord, my car. Oh, but Lord, my nice television I have. I had a 3D TV back in the day. I don't think you remember the 3D TVs. I had that. I had a nice little setup there. I liked it. I probably wouldn't have left for a while. Leave everything, your family, everything, right? I'm not married or anything, so it's hard, you know. It's you know, you can't really be as free if you're married. You have children, I understand that. But uh, he might ask you to do stuff in in uh more surrendering in a different area that maybe I can't, you know. So, what did I do? Sold everything. Everybody thought I was crazy, and I moved to New York City. Two weeks before going to New York City. I I had barely any money coming in. I told Lord it's too expensive, I can't find anywhere to live. I was calling every place, uh, you know, uh weekly stay hotels, uh, what was it, Facebook? I was looking everywhere. Then one night I was praying and uh I felt like the Lord said, You're gonna you're gonna live in Harlem, you're gonna like it. I said, Okay. And then literally, like that night, like one in the morning, I was so tired. Remember, I was on my computer and I was looking at some random Lutheran church uh bulletin board. I don't even know how I got there on Google, and it just said, Room in Harlem overlooking the river, air conditioning. Give me a call or whatever. I called, it all worked out, and that's where I lived, and I had air conditioning because you got to have air conditioning, right? So it all worked out, but it was like two weeks before I was moving out. Like I didn't have a place to live in two weeks, and I told everybody I was going to New York City and I had nowhere to go. I'm not saying this is your life, but I'm but I'm trying to encourage you that if God speaks to your heart and he's leading you in a direction you can trust him, even if it's like a last minute type thing, you can always trust the Lord. Okay, you can always trust the Lord, and another thing I learned is that he's always going to be training you, okay? He's always going to be training you in righteousness. So you might be going through a bad time physically, and you've prayed about it, you've been to the healing seminars, you've read all the books, and it's been going on five years, six years. Why is it taking so long? I don't really know. But could it be not the sickness or what you're going through that God's trying to get you to surrender? Maybe you don't think you're loved by God because you deal with a sickness, or maybe you think he's never going to come through for you because you're still in a wheelchair. Or he's not a good God because you have to pay medical bills. Right? And so there could be a mindset that's connected to what's manifesting in your life, a mindset that's why we have the 30. Days to we currently have the 30 Days to Believe and Right videos on our website. I have the 30 Days to Believe and Right devotional book. A lot of people get help from it. Because you want to start believing right in the midst of the trials. You want to believe like Joseph and Caleb. Is it Caleb not Joseph? Caleb and Joshua, right? When they were when the when the giants were in the land and 12 tribes went out. Caleb and Joshua, the only ones that said, hey, let's take them. We can take these guys. The other 10 looked and said, Oh, we're too small. We look like caterpillars or grasshoppers compared to these giants. They're gonna kill us. No. Caleb and Joshua went in. So be like Caleb and Joshua. You got the mountain, you got the giant. Okay, God can handle it. And a lot of it, remember, it's emotions. It really is, guys. It's your mind and your emotions. Like I look back when I was struggling with mental health stuff, and most all of it was emotional. Like I would get afraid, I'd get fear and anxiety, and then I would start panicking and think God doesn't love me or that I'm going to hell because I did this or did that or this. You know, it was started in my mind, then it went emotional. And if you could learn that your emotions are part of your soul, okay, and a lot of your emotions can be manipulated by others, can be manipulated by trauma that you went through. Maybe you just learned a behavior. A lot of behaviors are learned behaviors, and if you can disconnect from the negative and just connect with the truth, you'll find a lot more freedom. And it starts with truly being born again, having the heart transformation, and believing you're truly forgiven forever. You have to believe you're secure in Christ 24-7. And if you struggle with that, which I have struggled with in times past a lot, I thought I could lose my salvation all the time. I was afraid all the time. If you struggle with that, you need to take that to the Holy Spirit. You need to ask the Lord to show you in the word how secure you are in Christ. Because if you're not secure in your salvation, you will always struggle with the flesh. I'm telling you. I believe it's if saved, always saved. If someone has been circumcised in heart and have the Holy Spirit, then they are saved forever.
SPEAKER_01Okay?
SPEAKER_00If that's the thing, if people just, oh, I got baptized, I'm saved forever. Okay. Zero fruit their whole life. Never went to church, never prayed, didn't care about Christians, didn't care about anything, just lived in the flesh. I would say that was a false convert. So you can get saved in your brain, right? Or you can say, not say, but you can believe in your brain, like the demons believe in tremble. That's what James said. So you can believe. Simon the sorcerer believed, and he got baptized. I think I lost connection. Did I lose connection? It says I lost connection. Well, I'll just keep teaching. I don't know what happened. Very odd. Alright. Um, what happened here? All right, looks like I lost connection. Maybe. I don't know. Am I still here? Can you guys uh it said they lost connection, something with my streaming software or the internet. I don't know. Okay, so moving forward. So, oh, there you go, Martine. Thank you. I appreciate it. She said she can still see me. Okay, all right. So um maybe it's just the chat box. I don't know what happened. Anyway, so if you if you look at like they say, well, look at Judas. Okay, well, let's take a look at Judas. So you have Judas and Peter, okay? So you have thanks, Dylan. Good to see you. Hi, Renee. Renee's there too on YouTube. Thank you guys. Okay, so you have Judas and you have Peter. Let's just look at them for example, okay? You have Judas and Peter. Okay, so Judas betrayed Jesus and he repented towards himself. Okay, he had worldly sorrow. Okay, Peter, who was say, he had saving faith, he repented in his heart. See the difference? So Peter didn't lose his salvation, even though he rejected Christ three times and swore and cursed and everything. Why? Because he had true faith. And Jesus said that no man can take you out of my hand.
SPEAKER_01Okay?
SPEAKER_00Or my father's hand. Okay, amen. And so if you have true faith, you'll be like Peter, right? You'll eventually get to a place where your heart is broken, you come back. Because you have true faith. And I don't know, some people they they go on a while and then eventually they go, you know what, I'm tired of living in sin. I'm gonna go back to the Lord. You know, God's gracious, he's a father, and the father waits for the prodigal. Okay, waits till you're in the pig sten, the pig pie pile or whatever, pig pig sten. Pig's die. Pig's die. He waits till you're there, right? You come to yourself. Like I've tried, guys. I've tried to rebel, I've tried to go live in the world, I've tried to sit at a bar and watch sports. I tried to do all this stuff. It just wasn't me. I got to a place where I was like, this is not me. Because the son knows sitting in a pig, pig pen or whatever, pig sty, pig pen, that's not him. That's not who he is. Okay. So when you are when you are being dumb and making dumb choices as a son of God or a daughter of God, there's something inside of you telling you that's not who you are. You know, you might be in a bad relationship with somebody, you know, and they're like, oh, let's get married, and all of a sudden you're thinking, you got this red flag inside of you telling you, no, this is not the person for me. This is not what God's best is. Well, you need to listen to the Lord. You know what I mean? If you're a daughter, son of God, you want to really listen. Whoa, this is the wrong way. Yeah. And it just takes surrender, okay? You got in the bad relationship, most likely because you didn't surrender that part of you to the Lord. And so there's a piece of you that connected with that individual because they were feeding that part of you. See? And it could be manipulation, which all sorts of weird stuff could happen with relationships, right? Because once you start getting intimate with somebody, you start caring about somebody or whatever, you get the emotions involved, which is part of your flesh, and you get the soul tie type stuff. Okay. And to get rid of that stuff is you just confess and forsake, and you'll have mercy. You confess your sins and you forsake and you get mercy.
SPEAKER_01Okay.
SPEAKER_00I'm talking about like rebellion, guys, or like a bad situation. I'm not talking about dealing with stuff like you're you have issues in your life and you're just dealing with it. That's more Romans 7. I'm doing something I don't want to do. So there's a difference between like rebellion, making a dumb choice, right? Because your emotions and you wanted to be with somebody, or whatever. You made a dumb choice because you thought it would be fun and it turned out not. That's sin or bad, right? But then there's people that struggle with like nicotine, or they struggle with ungodly images on the computer, they struggle swearing, they struggle with this or that. That's Romans 7 stuff. That's I'm doing something I don't want to do.
SPEAKER_01Right?
SPEAKER_00So there's difference. And as a pastor or a ministry leader or something, if you you know, if you're a pastor or minister, that that's how you have to, that's why you have congregations, you have your house churches and things, and then that's where you help people, and you learn to you learn to care about people, and you don't use the same uh rebuke or reproof for somebody that's struggling with nicotine and they really want to be free or struggling with something that they feel is bondage, or somebody that's just sleeping with everybody in the church. See, there's a difference. One's rebellion, the other one's struggling. So there's a difference, amen. And so we you want to use wisdom on how to deal with each person in your congregation or your ministry or whatever. The main thing is are they hurting people, right? Is their action actually hurting somebody? Okay, you don't want to hurt the body of Christ, you don't want to hurt people. So if that's you, if you've hurt people or you say things that hurt people, you've you want to confess and forsake that and ask the Lord to help you, not hurt people, especially those that are close to you and other members of the body of Christ. You know, so anyway, I don't even yapping now. I'm gonna pray for um Renee on YouTube and anybody else that is dealing with addiction. Let's ask the Lord to come and just really lift addiction out of people's souls, out of their minds, and to remove it and to give them grace and to remove it from their bodies if it's a physical addiction like uh benzoid type stuff, people try to get off of and it's really hard, or uh other drugs or medications or whatever somebody really wants to get off of. You know, I'm not saying get off your medication if it's if it's from a doctor. That's not what I'm saying. So, but I'm just talking in general, right? If you have some sort of addiction, you feel like you have an addiction personality, like an addicted personality. Well, it's okay to accept that that's what you deal with, right? So I used to say all the time, yeah, I'm an addicted personality. So I understand now that that is something that the enemy tries to get me to go into. If it's not, let's say, cigarettes or alcohol or whatever, he'll try to do something else, overeating. He'll try to get me to do something something in that realm of that personality, right? And so with God's grace, I just surrender that part of my my uh soul to him and he transforms it. And it's a work in progress. Remember, Paul said we're not yet perfected. So remember, you're sanctified, but then sanctification is a whole life as well. So you're sanctified forever right now, and then your sanctification is like your transformation process your whole life. Because you don't just get saved, and then your character and everything is perfect, perfectly like Jesus, and you never do anything wrong, you never say anything wrong or anything, right? In fact, when you get closer to the Lord, you start realizing the little stuff inside of you, like the bad attitude, or the negative feelings you have towards somebody at church, or judging the minister who's talking on television, or being you know, having unforgiveness towards your friend, or feeling rejection from that person at the store, or whatever it is. You start realizing, oh man, sin and and this flesh stuff is deeper than just the Ten Commandments. It's deeper, guys. It's deeper, and you won't find this out unless you surrender. You start really just saying, Lord, this is your life, you live your life through me. You live your life through me, Lord. That doesn't mean you're gonna be a robot and you're not gonna be able to have any fun or not to be able to travel or get married or anything like that. It means that you're giving your life and trusting God 100% with it, and whatever He wants to take you through, just accept it. That's what I do, you know. I don't tell you everything I go through. But bad times, Lord, I just accept that this is where I'm at. But I your word says you're faithful, amen. Your word says you'll never leave me nor forsake me. Your word says that I'm a righteous person all the time, and that you hear the prayers of a righteous person, and that those who walk uprightly, you will withhold no good thing from them. Think about that. God said that those who walk uprightly, so those who walk in the light, basically, who walk in the light of Jesus, that know Jesus, that fellowship of God, that trust his word, that walk uprightly, that surrender their life to Christ, that Christ has a hold of, if you walk uprightly, God will not withhold any good thing to those who walk uprightly. So he's not gonna withhold any good thing from you. So in your despair and in your, oh, God's never gonna give me that, that's what I really want in life, blah, blah. Step out of your emotions for a second in your in your in this thing, trying to trick you, the stronghold, the lies that were embedded in you since you were a kid because your dad didn't buy you everything you wanted, or your mom used to yell at you. And so now you think God's like that. But God is a good father. You remember the song Good Good Father? I think it's uh Chris Tomlin, right? Good, good father. It's true. Okay, it's true. While you were still an enemy of God, Christ died for you and called you friend. So you need to let go of yourself and allow your entire being to be taken over by the Holy Ghost. Just allow your whole body and your whole entire life in your soul and your mind and your eyes and your ears, every cell in your body to be filled with the light of Jesus Christ of Nazareth. Just allow God to fill your life and surrender those areas. And it's a fight of faith. Are you gonna believe that that you're the size of a caterpillar and the giant's too big, or are you gonna believe that that giant is no match for the living God? And that's the truth. It's it's every day you have these decisions. Am I gonna walk in love or am I gonna yell at that person? Am I gonna think God doesn't love me because of that diagnosis, or am I gonna believe that God loves me no matter what the doctor says? Am I gonna believe even into the all that fear? I'm gonna believe past that fear, that storm in my life, or am I gonna believe that the storm is gonna take out the boat? And even if the storm took out the boat, God would be with you in the water. See, that's it's the thing you don't understand. Like, God will be with you even if you go, like I went through a really bad thing, and it just didn't make any sense. It didn't make any sense. And I was like, Well, maybe God didn't want me to do that, or this, or that, and you start wondering why it happened, this and that. What if it all happened so that I would be the person I am today? What if that's the explanation? You know, one time I was dealing with fear of uh I'll talk about that another time. Praise God. I'm gonna we're gonna pray for Renee and anybody else dealing with addiction, okay? And then if you have any prayer requests, please comment. Thank you for watching. Uh, yeah, so praise God. Yeah, so all in, guys. That's the that's all you're gonna get on Holy Ghost Television, the Father's Friends. We're all in. I'm not I'm not interested in the world system. The world system is nothing for me. What uh a yacht, a learjet, a mansion, what else? Uh fame, uh, okay, what else? Uh, a bunch of money, uh, watches, some good food. I guess I'm not interested in any of that. I'm not interested in a mansion. I'm not interested in I want to see people get touched by the Holy Spirit of God. I want to see real uh real manifestations of God's power and his grace. I want to see demons fly out of people. I want to see people saved, and I want to see children get healed in the children's hospital. I want to see people uh just have miracles and I want to see the kingdom of God. I'm not interested in the world system. I used to be, I used to be, and you might be sitting there going, what are you talking about? It'd be cool to have a mansion, be cool to have a nice car. Okay, yeah, okay, maybe, but that's not my focus, right? And so you're so like, but before it was. See, like if you talk to people in the world, that's what they want. Oh, you know, I've got to make more money so I can have more businesses, so I can buy more more apartment units, so I have more money, so that I they think they're gonna live forever. Guys, life is very short. Like 100. If you live 120 years, it's super short. Ask anybody over 60 years old, they're gonna tell you their life just flashed before their eyes, you know, went really quick. Wow, I remember when I was 40. Wow, I remember when I was 20, it's gone. So eventually it's gonna be boom, you're gonna be with Jesus. So, do you want to meet Jesus and you had a mansion because you worked 80 hours a week and slaved away? And you had you had this mansion on the earth and you could sit sit in Miami and drink cocktails and ride around your yacht? Is that what you want? Okay, you do that. But what I want, I want to meet Jesus and him say, Well done, good and faithful servant. Here's your crown of righteousness, here's your crown of this, here's your crown of that. Oh, look at the diamonds you get. Look, or you know, the uh the not you get, but like the diamonds and the gold that you built with. You built on my people with not with wood, hay, and stubble. I could tell you a bunch of good stuff, and I could try to manipulate you for money and sell you a bunch of stuff. I could do that. A lot of people do it, but I've chosen that I want to truly help people find their purpose in God and to be one-on-one with the Holy Ghost, one-on-one, where you can come to the Holy Spirit with a question, and you could learn directly from God, from his word with the Holy Ghost. So you don't need me to teach you all the time, you don't need all these people teaching you all, you don't need a bunch of teachers. Apostle John said, What did he tell us in first John? You have need of no man to teach you. You have the anointing of the Holy Ghost. Of course, there's teachers in the body of Christ, of course, these people were all together, we're trying to teach and help people, yes. But you have to understand it's you and the Holy Ghost, you and God. That's what you need. You and Jesus. So surrender, Lord. Here I am. And if you don't know how to surrender, just tell them I don't know how to surrender. Or maybe there's a part of your soul that's real hard for you to surrender. Maybe you just really want something and it's like you feel like God's not gonna let you have it or something. Talk to Him about it. Talk to him about it. I just found that God just changes me. I just change. You know, I used to obsess over things. Oh, I gotta have a relationship with this or that, or you know, I gotta have a spouse, I gotta have this, I got, and then God starts changing me. I'm like, you know what, Lord? I just want more of your presence. I just want to know you. I just want that private time where I a lot of private time. People don't understand me because I just want to sit in my apartment. Well, why don't you want to go out and do something? I'm not interested. I just want to hang out with the Holy Ghost, but that's me personally, you know. Everybody's called to different levels of relationship with the Lord. Okay, you're not gonna be just like me. So don't try to be like me, you know, just surrender your life and see where the Lord takes you. Amen. All right, so uh Renee, uh, why don't you just uh relax and take a deep breath and we're gonna pray for you. And anybody else is dealing with specifically with an addiction, like a physical addiction. I want to pray for you, okay? Hallelujah. I'm gonna believe that the the Lord is gonna uh touch and heal and uh help help. You're so good, Lord. Praise God. All right, thank you, Lord. Yeah, just comment if you're dealing with something. Thank you, Lord. Or just receive as fine. You don't have to comment. Lord, I don't need to know. Lord, uh, Lord, first, Lord, we we lift up uh Renee on YouTube here, Lord. She's she said that she doesn't want to uh have any sort of addiction to nicotine. Anymore. And Lord, first, I just want her to feel your love. And there's no condemnation, Lord. There's no condemnation for dealing with an addiction. And Lord, I pray that the chains of addiction would just simply fall off of her soul. And that uh a physical addiction to nicotine would just lift out of her body at the right time. And you know exactly why this individual goes through this, why they reach for nicotine. Um, I ask that you would share your heart with her so that she can maybe think differently about it and be released from it at the right time. Thank you, Lord. I pray that the power of the Holy Spirit would just move in her in her heart, in her mind. She would think differently. And Lord, I agree with her that uh the addiction to nicotine is leaving. And we would like it to leave right this moment, Lord. Thank you, Father. And anybody else dealing with addiction to anything, I pray the exact same prayer, Lord, that they would understand why they might reach for that type of thing, and that you'd heal that area, and that you would show them the truth, that they are not in bondage, they are no longer a slave to their flesh or their emotions, but they are a slave of righteousness. Help them just surrender. Thank you, Father, in Jesus' name. Thank you, Holy Spirit. Thank you, God. Amen. Amen. Praise God. Well, thank you for joining us. This is Spirit Stream 61. This is Nick Grimms, but I'm live. All right. God bless you. We want to help you grow as close as you can to the Lord Jesus, as well as grow in your identity as a son or daughter to the Most High God. We have books and resources at our website as well. You can go to our online store, you can get my book, Defeating Mental Illness. I have it in uh uh English, Spanish, Hmong language, Ukrainian, and French, okay, currently. And then we also have Becoming God's Friend, which is my autobiography. I have it in English and Spanish for you, as well as an e-book and audiobook, and 30 Days to Believing Right, which is a devotional, which will help, uh, I believe will help you with your identity in Christ Jesus and believe correctly about who you are. Okay, because God really loves you, He cares about you. Uh, so check out our website, thefathersfriends.org. If you feel led to become a monthly partner, you can do that at the website. Or if you just like to give a generous one time offering, you can do that too. We're a nonprofit and we care about people. We're trying to expand the ministry, help people, help more people, grow closer to the Lord. Thank you so much for your support. We love you. Have a great day.
