If you guys want to speed up your sales, I would suggest you do the thing that I've been telling us all to do for the 11 years of my business. Which is make the damn Instagram stories. If your Instagram stories and your Instagram DMs aren't bringing you 16K hot steamy leads, and you're not exactly at the sales pool you want to be at for this quarter, I've got hey sales friends. I'm Alyssa, your cheap sales cow. I've been in business for 11 years, and I currently run a Done For You Lead Generation and Agency with Instagram DMs. I'm about to show you guys all of the juicy sales things on Instagram, Instagram stories to get new leads, and closing sales in the DM sales sales calls. So let's get into all of the juicy details. Hi all happy Tuesday. I almost said Wednesday. Welcome back to the DM Sales Gal. I'm excited to chat with you guys today about hitting your summer sales goals and actually how long it's going to take. Not that long. If you do one five to seven minute thing each day, you already know what I'm gonna say. But I'm going to give you all a what not to do plan as well. So this is an interesting episode because I have been working with people to hit their spring and summer sales goals through our lead generation agency. And what I see time and time and time again is that people don't want to wait to make sales. Who wants to wait to make more money? Obviously, right? We don't want to do that. But also, it's not entirely up to you. What is up to you is how much lead gen, how much sales content you're able to make, how consistently, how high quality it is. What's not up to you is how fast each person will buy, which is why we need volume. So the thing that I've experienced over the last few months, I'd say a lot of, yeah, a lot of like May and June, uh, what I've experienced is that it's spring, it's summer, and people are ready as fuck to make sales, right? But much as they might hear us when we tell them an approximation based on hundreds of lead gen clients over 11 years of how long it will hit their take to hit their sales goal, whether that's 10k, 20k, 50k, 100k months, they always want it to go faster, right? You guys are gonna be like, obviously, I know, but as the service provider, I can do all I can do, just like you all can do all you can do for lead gen, but some of it has to be done by you when people are working with us as a client, and some of it is on the lead itself. Like this comes down to humans that have unpredictable behavior and lives. So this and this episode is interesting to record because it's interesting. I'm gonna keep using that term because I'm trying to be neutral. It for once, it's interesting to see the behavior differences between our higher ticket clients and our mid-ticket clients. So we have clients for Lee Gen right now paying, and we have had clients for Lee Gen paying anywhere from 3,000 a month to 7,000 a month. Now, those compare that to our like main lead gen offer right now as of a switch of a couple weeks ago. And I talked about this uh when I was talking about cutting sales calls and letting go of the focus for high ticket. We're not letting go of high ticket, it's just not the focus right now. I get like a lot of flack for this shit. People are like apparently listening to every single word I say and like how I say it. So I'm gonna try to be very clear. But we have clients for our higher ticket lead gen paying anywhere from 3,000 to 7,000 a month. Those people are looking to hit 15k, 20k, 100k months. They'll pay 3,000 to 7,000 a month for multiple channels and or lots of outreach. So if these clients want 15, 20k, 100k months, they're paying 3,000 to 7,000 a month. They're usually having multiple channels. So it can be like email, Instagram, two LinkedIns, email, LinkedIn, two Instagrams, it could be three Instagrams, it could be a personal brand and a business page and another business page. So they're usually paying for multiple accounts and or for lots of outreach. So it could be like 50 leads per day instead of 15, 20 leads per day. So the higher ticket clients we've had are different than our mid-ticket clients that we have a little bit. And those people, our mid-ticket, are looking to hit 10 to 15k months. It's 1500 a month, and it's usually just one Instagram. So our high ticket are trying to hit, uh, really like 20k to 100k months, they're paying 3,000 to 7,000 a month, and they have multiple channels. Our mid-ticket for 1500 a month, they're trying to hit 10 to 15k months, they're paying 1500 a month, is one Instagram. So just to clarify that. And the other big difference is our clients who are trying to hit 20k to 100k months have leads. They know they have leads. They might not have them all rounded up into a lead tracker, most don't. Somebody just gave us 3,000 contacts, but we're making sales. Um, they might have 3,000 people that we need to put into a lead tracker and sort into uh like 15 statuses and then make sales from it. They might have leads in all different places, they might have lots and lots of leads, they might know that they have an audience of leads just sitting there in likes and comments and DMs and inbound and mini-chat, but they have leads. Even when we have to do a massive like data cleanup and sort all of their leads, we're still making sales in the first month. Weirdly about the same number. Like one of our clients, we'll call her M, made about 15 grand. Another client, H, made about 16 grand within about the same period, within like three weeks after we organized all of their leads the first week or so. So our higher ticket clients have leads and are able to make sales usually within the first month or so, month, four, six weeks. Then our mid-ticket clients at 1500 a month, trying to hit 10 to 15k, don't have leads. It's like walking into a fucking foreign country for me, like Kurzstan. Murray, podcast manager. Guys, we looked at all of the cities and countries that you were all were in listening, and we had a blast. Um Indianapolis, New Jersey, there is Alabama, there is North Carolina, there's Kurzstan, there's Greece, like so many cool places. So thank you for listening and finding me from wherever you are coming from. But we have these clients coming in for our mid-ticket for $1,500 a month now times three months. But before that, we had people coming in for a $1,500 lead gen sprint for one month. And the difference is when you have leads already, it is fucking faster to make sales. When you don't have leads already, it takes longer to make sales. So our clients who come in for high ticket that have leads already are making sales within about a month from like our last few case studies. Our clients that come in and those are on a three-month contract. So they come in, they have leads, it's one or multiple channels, they're there for three months. We're making sales in the first month. Then we have our mid-ticket where they come in, they don't have leads, it's one Instagram, and it's usually on average, taking over a month, like two to three, to start seeing sales calls and sales and sales on repeat. Here's the issue, and I renamed this episode like four times to try to be again neutral. Here's the issue. One month is usually not fucking long enough to make sales. And I have said this many, many, many, many, many, many, many times. I can go into my DMs and I will at the park this afternoon, and I just sent a proposal for one person. I'm doing two calls this whole month for special circumstances that are sales calls, but I can go into the DMs and make sales today. I was making sales when I was fucking sick at the rooftop pool on Friday because I have leads already, and I can literally just go down the lead tracker, go down the DM list, and like I go down the lead tracker because those are the ones identified as hot and warm first. Then I can go to my stories viewers, I can go down my DM list and I can find people that will buy shit from me. Like I can always make more money. Hear that, I'll take a breath. I know I can always make more money. Right now, I've been tired, I've been sick, I'm low energy, I'm a little burnt out. So, like, you know, I gotta pull myself to do it, but once I get in there and talk to people, it's really fucking fun. But I've been doing lead gen like this for 11 years. I've been making sales content on like the clients that I'm helping, the questions that they ask, their progress, when to expect results. I've been doing this shit for over six years, folks. And a lot of people have been around fucking watching me for years too. So I've been doing Instagram stories, sales content, I've been doing carousels, reels, sales content, and outbound DM lead gen as well as handling inbound for 11 years, a lot of it really hyper focused on it in the last like six years because it was COVID and I could make like fucking Instagram stories to my heart's content or too much, arguably. Um, so I've been doing this for a long time. If I want to make sales tomorrow or in the next three days, I'm gonna do it because I have a list of leads and I have a large, large pool of sales content, and I make Instagram stories every day. This is gonna bring me to my point in a minute. We have had clients that are not happy that they did not make sales in the first month, even though we have talked at length. I have in my content, in my DMs, in our contract, in our onboarding, in our weekly goals, in our weekly check-ins in Slack, that most clients don't make sales if they don't already have leads until two to three months in. We do have clients who did a one-month sprint that make sales in the first week, but we kind of got lucky. They had a commodity service, we find the right lead at the right time, we got there fast. Not everyone is hireable in that way. Like that was one of our lovely bookkeeper clients. When people know they need a bookkeeper, they know they need a bookkeeper, and if they're ready to hire it and they find someone they like, like trains rolling, right? If I want an ops partner, if I want a business coach, if I want a social media manager, that's a longer trust cycle. Probably a few months, like always. Um, for them to like, you know, stalk you, creep on you, you talk to them, figure out what they need, they actually know you're the right fit, etc. So we've had we have high-ticket clients at three months, we have mid-ticket clients now for $1,500 a month at three months, but we had clients for $1,500 for one month. And arguably the clients we worked with are great. The lead gen was super fun. We did, you know, we did great at the lead gen. We have a full lead tracker with notes and all of these leads. But I'm a salesperson, so I know the fucking job. You can do the very best lead gen sales work, and until the money starts coming in, it can feel a little unappreciated. But also, it don't fucking matter if the money comes in, it can still feel quite unappreciated. We had of the two clients I mentioned, one that made about 15k, just like a few hundred dollars over. The under, the other one that made a same, a few hundred dollars shy of 16k. These clients made about the same amount of money in the same time. One of them did not treat me well. Like, really, really, really it did at the end, it did not go well. You know, as a woman and a business owner, if somebody made me 16 grand, I'd be like, sweet, thank you so much. There was there was never a thank you. It didn't go that way. It's fucking nuts. I mean, I I don't know. My husband would say, and my recovery would say, like, imagine like how other people have been treated to treat you the way that they're treating. And also, I'm like, holy fucking motherfuck, dude. Like, this is business ethics. Be a human being, say thank you. When you have a problem, like, let's try to handle it graciously. Like, I don't there comes to a point in their did in this situation where like, look, bro, there ain't no fucking use talking about this. And this wasn't a man in this case. But there's plenty of women, like, you know, over the years that haven't treated me or my team great either. A few, maybe four. Um, but anyways, this is not a male, this is a female who did not treat us well. But my point is we want to make sales as fast as possible, but you also gotta fucking do the work. And the issue that I've seen with our one-month sprints and even with our ongoing clients, is I cannot get people to make Instagram stories on a consistent basis. And honestly, sometimes I'm like sitting around at 5:40 in the morning, like taking a picture of my cat, like fucking rolling himself around our concrete patio. Like, why can we not do it? But but why? It's just five to seven minutes. You paid me and contractually signed that you would do at least three to five Instagram stories for five minutes each, each weekday. I don't know why I can't get people to do it. I wish somebody could just give me an answer. We need to start like asking this in our off-boarding forums, but the answers I get are like, so my cat ate my homework. Did he though? Really, like, he can't even swallow that much paper. He's just a fucking cat, you know? Like, I'm busy. But I try to have a life too. Like, shit happens and you be busy doing it. I can still make five minutes. Like, fuck me, dude, truly. Because it hinders their sales results, and then we get just like a giant poop, like shat on about it. Like, you literally fucking signs saying that you would do this. And then I have to be what I call me mommy, like, hey, this is made up. Cassie, I know you said you'd make stories last week, but we didn't. Here's five new ideas for this week. Can you make one starting today or tomorrow? I'll do it. Tomorrow, okay, we didn't do it yesterday. Are we gonna do it today? I'll do it. Thursday, we're supposed to make four by now. Are you gonna do it today? Oh shit, sorry. I'm busy, the cat ate my homework, I'm traveling, and guess what, guys? Everywhere you fucking are, there's your motherfucking cell phone. I'm just so tired of the excuses. And I say all this shit because if you all would make the stories, it would speed up your sales. I literally don't know how else to like convince people of this except to like cut out a piece of my heart and serve it to you like popcorn. Like, just do it. Just just do it. Stop listening to me talk about it and please go do it. My whole like fucking point as a business owner is to help you make money so you can live the life you want and impact your community and your family, and not, you know, like I was an addict and struggled financially for the entire fucking 10 years and had to like beg my family. It was awful. It was awful for them, it was awful for them. Nonetheless, like what it was like for me. It was fucking awful for them, and they're the people I love most, and I put all of them through that. And financial financial like scarcity and desperation does not live in a vacuum. It affects you and everyone in your life. So please go make the fucking Instagram stories. Take five minutes. I don't care what your hair looks like, I don't care what your pimples be up to, I still have a cold sore I've had for like the last eight days and it's almost gone. I still did this shit all through it. I did it when I was mad, I did it when I was getting shat on by my clients, I did it when uh, you know, I was getting nitpicked over every single word I wrote in my Instagram stories. I still did it. So if you guys want to speed up your sales, I would suggest you do the thing that I've been telling us all to do for the 11 years of my business, which is make the damn Instagram stories. So, number one, pull an idea. Here's some ideas. Pull an idea from your DMs. Go look at three recent Instagram conversations in the DMs, scroll up a little bit if you need to. What's one thing they talked about that your other clients would want to know about? Make five talking points on that. Intro, three talking points, outro. That's it. Five minutes. If you literally come on, guys. If you literally feel like you've never had a single conversation in business about your business in the way you could help someone, like that's fucking bullshit, obviously. You you've talked about your business before to someone that asked you a question. There you go. Idea number one, repeat times a thousand. Number two, make stories on your clients. I am working on this. I I am working on it. Honestly, I'm at like 30-35% energy over the last week, if I'm honest. Like, I'm just burnt out and exhausted and been sick, and like don't give myself enough credit that I'm sick. And I got to take time off, and my team can literally handle everything, but still, like when I plan to try to come back to work, and it's like I don't really want to be doing this, but I am trying. So I'm gonna try to make more client stories too. But where did your client what was the client's issue when they came to you? Why did they choose you? What did you do together? What did they say about it? What do you say about it? There's your five talking points. Number three, FAQs. What's the shit that people ask you before they work together? So today alone, if I have to spitball. Number one, one gal came to me and said that so we're getting leads. Do we run ads? We can, but no, it's an organic like DM service. We're doing outbound to your audience and outside of it. Another lead asked me, well, we're using mini chat for our low ticket, but we get a whole bunch of DMs clogging up our inbox, but I want to try to go back to the low ticket people and follow up to get them to a group program, a higher ticket, mid-ticket. Could you do that? Yes, of course. Another one asked me, um, I told her that we do 15 outreaches a day and we get replies and we send outbound, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah. And she was like, well, what if there are no replies? So you just do less? And I was like, no, then we would do more outbound, more follow-up. Three questions today alone, which happens if you talk to people that might want to work with you. And if they're not in your inbox, you need to go start the conversation. And you can start the conversation by making these Instagram stories, getting there behind to your Instagram stories, and then having that combo from there. Number four would be why now? Why should I, you know, hire a social media manager now? Why do I need a group program now versus later? Why do I need lead gen now versus later? When is this gonna pay off? Hear me when I say this. ROI does not have to be monetary. There can be other ROI. Maybe you're like, I really don't fucking know what I'm doing. Maybe a group program would help you figure out what you're doing by July, is when you'd have a plan and feel confident in the plan, know how to execute it, know how to get any support you need, hires you need, etc. Um, after you make these, so ideas from the DMs, ideas from sales calls, ideas from client calls, ideas from Slack, as well as client stories, as well as FAQs, as well as why or why not is now the right time to work together. You wanna DM people that are looking at the stories, you want to follow up with them, you want to track those leads. And that's I mean, I tried to be as neutral as I could be. I I don't know how else to like literally scream on top of like the Denver building across the street, like make the fucking Instagram stories because it's gonna make you sales and also you sign the contract to that extent. And I'm not trying to like be bitchy, it's just like, but we need you all, our clients, our community, to do the work that it takes to be able to also make, you know, get leads make sales. And this isn't targeted at anyone. It sucks that I have to say that. Like, you all should know me well enough to know that I'm not going to make a podcast episode like yelling about one person. This is across the board. Guys, it's across the whole board. I've heard all of lay reasons why we can't do it, but the thing is, I've seen you all do it, so I know you can do it. There are exceptions. People, you know, are dying. The world is a shit show. We uh have a sick kid, like I get it, but the exception is the exception. The exception can't be the exception for one month, two months, three months, six months, two years. I've had people tell me they're gonna start making consistent Instagram stories for three years. I'm like, cool, when is that date that you're you know what? Okay, it's time for me to go outside of the office. I am off to the lake to hang out with the geese. Look, if these geese could be making Instagram stories, well, they're already in my Instagram stories. If the geese can do it, you all can do it. Okay, that's my that's my sign-off. If you guys like this podcast episode and you want to talk Instagram stories and how to hit your summer sales goals, you can DM me podcast and I will chat with you all about it. Just send me the word podcast and tell me which episode you are listening to, and I will help you guys to figure out what kind of Instagram stories are gonna help you to hit your summer sales goal. But short answer, how long is it gonna take? Probably at least a month. So if you haven't started with the Instagram stories and the DM in now, this episode will come out soon. I would start like the third week of June. Like, get get going. Get going. Okay, DM me guys, and I'll talk to you soon.
