Episode 12 of the Just Clownin’ Podcast is live: Ray’s New Job.
Ray officially starts his new job at the McLaren Hotel and shares stories from his very first day. We won't lie to y'all... we fear for the man's safety. But by God, does it make for some good content.
It's also another test run of Fun Box!, because next week the tournament officially begins. Sean and Ray will battle it out in movie trivia until one remains the undisputed champion. Friendships will be tested. Blood will be spilled. Complete scorched-earth tactics are expected.
The grand prize? The loser has to do whatever the winner wants. (Relax... not gay sex.)
The boys also return with another installment of Dragon Talk, breaking down Episode 2 of House of the Dragon, along with the usual mix of pop culture, random tangents, questionable opinions, and stories that somehow end up nowhere near where they started.
Y'all know the drill by now. Grab a beer, kick back, and enjoy another episode of the Just Clownin’ Podcast.
Fucking the goddamn button, dude. Fucking press it. Hey, welcome back to the just clown podcast. Might as well just call it the just clown podcast. Remember fucking changing the name anyway. Anyway, guys, we're here on a Tuesday. Actually recording again on time. Tuesday, 7:30, June 30th. Coming to you from Sean's bedroom. Raymond Cos introducing Sean Bouvier.
SPEAKER_03How's it going, y'all?
SPEAKER_02Yeah. Um, how yeah, how's it going, guys? Because guess what? I'm pissed off. I'm fucking, I'm right pissed off, dude. You know what? Tell me all about it. I'll tell you all about it. You know what? I don't even need to tell you all about it because it's almost all the same reasons as every other time. Well, very close. Really? Really? Very close, yeah. So Sean today hits me with uh hits me with uh well, first he hits me with a man, I couldn't watch House of the Dragon episode because my power was out, went out last night. And I'm like, bitch, you were online playing video games all night. Could have watched the episode, chose not to. Bad excuse. Could have. Hold on, hold on, hold on. Now, now tell me, tell me how good of an excuse you think that is now, now that you have all the information that I told you about.
SPEAKER_03It's not a very good excuse.
SPEAKER_02Okay, perfect. I'm glad you're being a little bit more.
SPEAKER_03I was gonna watch it today, dude. I swear to god, dude, I was gonna watch it today. I was going to watch it today. But there was no power in the house. But I realized now, like in hindsight, I definitely 100% could have taken advantage of my day off yesterday and just watched it yesterday.
SPEAKER_02Or even watched it on when you got home on Sunday.
SPEAKER_03Well, when I got home on Sunday, it was like two o'clock in the morning.
SPEAKER_02Oh, you're partying all night.
SPEAKER_03No, man, fucking dude. Okay, no. But it was because like the kitchen's closed until Friday. So then fucking my Sioux chef um had this bright idea like we should empty out all the line coolers and bring everything that's in the line coolers downstairs into the walk-in cooler and do a deep clean of everything because they're fucking closed until Friday.
SPEAKER_04I mean, fair.
SPEAKER_03Yeah, fair enough, yeah. But then like, yeah, I did everything. I fucking like that. He's kind of like a small little skinny Asian guy, so he's like not really like, you know. So I'm fucking putting everything on fucking bus pants and shit and carrying them down these fights of stairs into the walk-in cooler, going up and down these fucking stairs. So I'm like, oh, home at two o'clock, I was exhausted. I went straight to fucking bed. Wow.
SPEAKER_02Proud of you. Um glad you're uh getting back in there and you know, show giving the world the best you got, you fucking lazy cunt. Fuck you. I don't know. I'm pissed off of you, dude. I'm pissed. It's gonna take me five minutes at least to not be pissed off of you. So give me five.
SPEAKER_03I'll give you five.
SPEAKER_02Give me five. Anyway, anyway, so yeah, and then and then I'm like, okay, Sean, I messaged I messaged him this morning because this is what he told me yesterday. He said, All right, he I messaged him yesterday. I said, I got I got a new job, I'm at work. The only like, dude, okay, so I got this new job. I I trained, I was supposed to train on Sunday. Yeah, I trained yesterday because he called me on Sunday and was like, sorry, man, come in tomorrow, it'll work out better. I said, Whatever, it's the fucking McLaren hotel. I'm gonna get stabbed anyway. So I go in yesterday on Monday.
SPEAKER_03We don't have any holes in your shirts.
SPEAKER_02Yeah, well, I wore a new shirt. Changed my shirt, obviously. Um no, dude, they they barely they they the people at the McLaren don't have enough strength and uh agility to stab people, they're so fucked up. Jesus Christ. I don't know how I was like how I how I quit that other job where I was like, there's no alcohol at that wellness center. Yeah, there was no alcohol allowed on the premises. Yeah, and I went from there to working in just as sketchy of a place where I'm serving them alcohol, where I'm increasingly getting them more drunk and rowdy. So I don't know what my life decisions have been as of late, but um, yeah, I had to get a job. It was starting to get stressful anyway. So I got in yesterday. Motherfucker says, Hey, can you open tomorrow? I said, I'm just I this is my first day, I'm training, I'm only here for four hours. I said, sure. Sign me up, boss. Sign me up. So I work, I work, I work tomorrow, I work today, I got tomorrow off because it's Canada. Then I work Thursday, Friday, Saturday, Sunday, I got Monday off, and then I work Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, Saturday, Sunday. I work six days next week. Oh shit, bro. Work six fucking days next week. And then I uh I also got the job at the Great Outdoors Comedy Festival. Oh, fucking nice. I'm working at the Great Outdoors Comedy Festival weekend. I got like three shifts. I'm working the whole weekend, I'm doing drink expo, so that's gonna be pretty sick. Yeah, that's fucking awesome. Um, so I got that job. Um, I made $60 worth of tips at this job. Ghetto as fuck, but I still made a lot of tips. Um, and I get to take that home every day.
SPEAKER_03Fucking $60 in tips? Dude, you got that in one day at the McLaren Hotel. Yeah. You know how much fucking tips I get weekly? Yeah, I know. You know how much fucking tips I got fucking yesterday?
SPEAKER_02Bro, 22 bucks. These drunk love to play VLTs, and if they win, they love to give you at least a fiver. There was this one guy who works there, his name's Gary. He's got like a fucked up back, he can barely walk and shit. Like, he's he comes in at like we open at 10. He comes in at 1010. He comes in as soon as it's like 10 a.m. Yeah, dude, 10 a.m. He's like, two Ryan with two Ryan Kochs, um, two single Ryan Koch, please. I said, Okay, yeah, no problem. Uh, and then he goes and gambles, and I shit you not, he was there for from 10 a.m. till like 1.30. And at a certain point, I was just because like he would tip me every time I got him a drink, and then every time he won, he would tip me even more. So he was sitting there, he's got a bad back. I would walk by him, I'd be like, Yo, Gary, you need another drink? Like, yeah, I'm not gonna say no. Like, yeah, I'm definitely over serving this bitch. I made like at least $30 in tips off that guy. That's awesome. Um, anyway, it's ghetto as fuck. I work, I'm working a lot now. Like, I'm working like six days a week. I got like 43 hours next week. It's fucking ridiculous. Um, but hey, man, I'm making money, so whatever. I'm gonna buy a camera because I know you're not going to. So I'll buy the camera. Chip in for the camera. Yeah, whatever. What what we're what we're gonna do is I'm gonna buy a camera and um what else was I gonna buy? Oh, I was also gonna buy something else, but I think that's gonna be a little more down the line. I'm not gonna tell you about it yet. Okay, and then I'm gonna buy a uh PlayStation 5 Pro. Oh shit. I'm gonna sell my shit. Apparently, I don't know if you've been seeing online, but with the price like from all the hardware from the PS5, yeah, apparently you could take the two terabyte SSD hard drive in your PlayStation 5, take it out, sell that, and then sell the PlayStation separately and make way more money. Apparently, the two or yeah, the two terabyte SSD in your PlayStation 5 right now is like going for like so much money, apparently.
SPEAKER_03Oh, yeah, because like the prices of like RAM and fucking like SSD and like all that shit. It's all going up now because like the whole like uh the whole AI spike and stuff.
SPEAKER_02Yeah, so I was thinking about doing that, but I don't know. I might just keep it. But that's so first thing I'm buying, I'm buying a camera. Um what else was I gonna buy? I was gonna buy some other shit. Whatever. I'm gonna buy a camera, and I'm gonna buy something else for the pod that's gonna be later down the line, and then I'm gonna get a fucking PS5 Pro. I don't know how I got here from being pissed off at you, but I'm not pissed off at you anymore. Apparently, from just talking, I feel great now. I can look you in the eyes, I don't want to stab you in the throat anymore. I don't want to aggressively fucking off. Oh, yeah, okay. So this is what Sean did earlier. He said, He said, Oh man, power's been out all day at my house. So no, I texted him. I texted him early, early this morning. I said, You better, I said, I'm gonna I'm off at five, I'm gonna be over right after work, or I'm gonna go home and shower. Sean didn't message me back for about two hours. I messaged him again, I said, You better wake your ass up and get get started with the day because Sean messaged me last night. Okay, hold on. I'm gonna go back. I was I was awake. I'm getting mixed up. I'm getting mixed up. The reason I brought this up is because I was at work yesterday. Sean said, yo, I can't, this is the days I could podcast. And I said, Unfortunately, those don't work for me because I'm working now, so I could podcast tomorrow or Wednesday. And you're like, okay, we'll do it tomorrow. I'll wake up early and get all my shit done so we could do it. I said, Alright, sounds good. Yeah. Motherfucker did. What time do you get up? Uh I was up at early noon.
SPEAKER_03Yeah, right. I'm serious, huh? Because I fucking it was so hot in this room. Because once like once the power went off, the AC went off along with it, right? Of course. And my fan, am I gonna have it like right by the AC there? So it's like blowing nice cold air, fucking circling throughout the entire room, right? So all that shit went off. I'm sweating balls in my goddamn bed at fucking noon. So I just laid there all day, basically, like, fuck, when's the power gonna come back on?
unknownNo.
SPEAKER_02Yeah, so I messaged Sean and Sean messaged me on his dad's phone and I said, Alright, dude, looks like you're coming to my place tonight then, because we need to podcast. Yes. And you know what? I didn't think that was a big deal, because I come here every week. Yeah, it wasn't a good idea. I'd be commuting here. Yeah. So I was like, whatever, he can come over for fucking once. And then he's like, okay. I said, if anything changes, let me know. Sean messaged me and said the power's back on. I said, so what does that mean? And he said, That means I can shower now. I said, Good, cool. I said, let me know if anything changes. Otherwise, I'll see you at seven. And that meant stick to the original plan of you coming to my house. So then, so then let's check. Let's let's let's let's fucking fast forward to 7 p.m. at night. I'm laying in my room, I'm like, this motherfucker hasn't messaged me, so he's on his way, hasn't said anything. So I messaged him, say, yo, he says, What's up, man? You still coming over? I said, What? What the fuck? Brother, brother, and then he says, Oh, sorry, bad. And it fucking it threw me, it made me blood red mad. It made me blood red.
SPEAKER_06I was like, I'm sorry.
SPEAKER_03But dude, I literally sent you a text right here. I was like, so if I shower and clean, we can record here. If not, I'll come over there. Okay. And then you said, if I hear nothing, see around seven. Okay, so then that's where my confusion is. Okay, okay, okay.
SPEAKER_02So then, so then did you message me after that and said, I showered and cleaned, come on over.
SPEAKER_03You did not, I fucking, yeah. Motherfucker. Yeah. Like the whole the all the miscon all the miscommunication was 100% on my end. Oh, I'm not, I'm not taking no blame for it, that's for sure. It's all on my end. It's all good.
SPEAKER_02It's all good. If this episode gets posted tonight, you'll still be in my good graces. If it doesn't, we're gonna have more problems. Waiting. Waiting. Alright, man. Now that I've got all my fucking all my steam released, how was your week, buddy?
SPEAKER_03My week was uh very honestly like uneventful. It was a very uneventful week. What did you do another one? I didn't really do shit besides like watch a bunch of fucking anime. I binged like I think like four different animes. Alright, tell me about them. Okay, so I watched um there's this one called Kuruzoka Kuruzaka, which I was telling you about last week, um, that I just fucking finished the other day, which was fucking phenomenal. It was about like this uh this samurai who uh meets this vampire lady and then um he gets like betrayed and beheaded by like uh his friend, and then so like what she does is she takes his head and puts it on different bodies, and each time she puts his head on a different body, it like he loses all of his memories and he wakes up in like different times and shit. So he wakes up in the future with no memory of like how we got there. He's just a fucking vampire in the future, he's trying to find her, trying to find like his creator and shit. It's okay. How did you hear about this anime? I literally just like I just like Googled like top 100 samurai animes.
SPEAKER_02Damn, that's so giant list. That's like number two on the list of things incels do. Well, like I'm not like a I'm just like trying to get into anime, right? Like I know, I'm just fucking with you. Yeah, I was just trying to make a nice clean joke. It's a funny joke. It's funny.
SPEAKER_03Alright, that was one down. That was one down. And then I watched uh Shigarui Death Frenzy, which was fire. It's so good. It's such a good anime. It's very graphic, very, very graphic. So it opens up with like these like two samurai who are about to have a duel in front of the shogun. One is like extremely like disfigured, like extremely disfigured, and the other one has one arm, and then it goes back in time and it shows like the story of the events, like of like the years that transpire up to them having their duel, and it's fucking insane. It's really cool. It's really cool.
SPEAKER_02Alright, I'll take your word for it. You know what? If you say it's cool, it must be cool.
SPEAKER_03And then I watched uh this other one, it's an OVA. It's called OV Ho Drake as an anime.
SPEAKER_02Have you seen Megan the Stallion's anime? Off the off the off side topic. This could be not a real thing, and it could just be something somebody fan made, but it's literally Megan the Stallion just beating people up with her BBL. Oh, dude, I saw a trailer from that guy. He's like fucking like knocking people up. Yeah, it's real, but I was like, I'll watch it.
SPEAKER_03Booty clapping, like thunder cheeks, bro.
SPEAKER_02I'll check it out. I'll check it out. Check it out too. I'm gonna be mad at it. Anyway, sorry, that just reminded me of anime.
SPEAKER_03But yeah, so like uh I watched this other one, it's OVA called uh kite. And it's like a kite. Oh, sorry. It's called kite. Oh, it's OVO.
SPEAKER_01Oh, my bad. My bad, dude. You said OVO, and then you said kite. Yeah, dude.
SPEAKER_03Little Jew boy. Little Jeeboy. But yeah, it's called Kite, and it's like the inspiration behind the animated sequence in Kill Bill. It's really good. It's another really good one. Alright. Sounds alright. You should check that one out.
SPEAKER_02Sounds alright. I might probably won't, but I might. I'll put that one on my list. That sounds the coolest out of the three that you've named so far.
SPEAKER_03Yeah, she's like a like a like a little girl female assassin who gets like taken under the wing. Who like she gets like taken under the wing of another assassin who trains her how to be an assassin, and then she's out there fucking like doing hits and shit.
SPEAKER_02Very Leon the professional. Yeah, but she's thinking minus the weird relationship.
SPEAKER_03Yeah, but she's thinking a school girl, schoolgirl you're gonna be.
SPEAKER_02Okay, plus the weird relationship. It's like just like Oran Ishii. It's very Oren Ishii S. Let's let's add that back in. Don't just say dumb Japanese shit and expect me to under know understand what you're saying. Very onorichies. You know, like Xiao Gun and Solin. Shut the fuck up.
SPEAKER_03Oren Ishii is fucking the bitch from Kill Bill.
SPEAKER_02Oh never seen it. You've seen Kill Bill. Nice guy, never met him. Nah, I think I've only seen Kill Bill like once or twice. Oh shit, man. Is it is wait, who is that then in the movie? Orange Ishii. That's uh Lucy Liu. Oh, okay, yeah, yeah. Yeah. All I know her as is, isn't there like a number associated with her gang, like the crazy 88 or something?
SPEAKER_03Yeah, crazy 88. Okay. Yeah. I remember.
SPEAKER_02I'm back in. I'm back in. I'm back in. Pardon my racism.
SPEAKER_03It's like the whole animated sequence is heavily inspired by the movie Kite. Oh, cool. Wait, Kite? I watched that. It was really good. My bad, my bad, my bad. It's really good. That's cool. That's all I did, really. Those are the four? Yeah, those are the four that I've watched. Nice. Yeah. And like right now, I am watching. Um, well, I never I never watched it yet, and I'm I don't know how I haven't yet, but I'm watching Cyberpunk Edge Runners right now.
SPEAKER_02Okay, yeah, they just announced the second season.
SPEAKER_03Yeah, yeah. That's what Darcy was telling me there the other day.
SPEAKER_02That was his trailer out. Yeah. Probably two at this point.
SPEAKER_03I haven't even watched the trailer yet, but I'm going to. I don't want to watch it until I'm done the first season because I don't want to fucking like what like I don't want any spoilers. You know what I'm saying? Sure? Yeah. Sure. Yeah, I don't know how much you could spoil for that kind of show. Oh my god, this guy's actually a cyborg? No my god. Oh my god, Night City? Crazy.
SPEAKER_02Fucking crazy, dude. I hope Keanu Reese is in it.
SPEAKER_03Dude, it'd be actually pretty wild if he was in it.
SPEAKER_02Um that's it. That's all you got. That's your week?
SPEAKER_03That's my week, man.
SPEAKER_02Nothing else special, spectacular, significant has happened.
SPEAKER_03No. It's been it's been relatively boring, man. Fucking like I go to work, I come home, I smoke weed, I jack off, I watch my anime, jack off again, go to bed, wake up, jack off, go to work, work, come home, jack off.
SPEAKER_05Jack it off before work.
SPEAKER_02Jack it off before work is like psychopath shit. Carn't you just like, I'm just tired for the rest of the day. I gotta get that post-nut.
SPEAKER_03You wanna take a nap? I gotta get that post-not clarity. I gotta I gotta go to work with a fucking clear mind. Hell no, dude.
SPEAKER_02I go to work on gooning on gooner's edge, brother. I'm on the precipice of coming every time I'm at work.
SPEAKER_03I need to think clearly.
SPEAKER_02I need to bust enough before I go before I start my day. Nah, dude. Makes me I'm that I'm just wasting that's all my essence, dude. I'm not I'm not releasing my essence before I go to work. That's crazy.
SPEAKER_03It just builds up too much tension and I get pissed off more easily than if I'm busted, you know what I'm saying?
SPEAKER_02Yeah, uh, yeah. Um this guy, so um well, I'll hit you with what I watched this week. So I watched um I watched the sheep detectives.
SPEAKER_03Ooh.
SPEAKER_02Fucking number one movie on Amazon Prime, baby. It's a it's a it's a it's a family-friendly movie. So it's Hugh Jackman and a bunch of anthropomorphized sheep that can speak. A huge Jackman. Yeah, and they solve his crime, their sheep detectives. So Hugh Jackman reads them crime stories every night, detective stories, and then he's murdered, and then the sheep's band together to solve the murder of their of their shepherd. Pretty good, to be honest. Actually, sounds good. I'd give it, I'd give it at least an eight, dude. Pretty good. Word pretty good. Watch out with my boy. He said, I fucking love sheep daddy. I said, Yeah, you do. And then I walk, we watch Masters of the Universe.
SPEAKER_03Pretty great. I actually heard it was really good.
SPEAKER_02Pretty great, man. All you gotta do for Jared Leto to be good in a role is put him in full fucking costume, put a mask on him, and give him a voice changer. Just make him basically unrecognizable. And you know what? Yeah great, he nailed it. Great movie.
SPEAKER_03You gotta do that with Jared Leto more often.
SPEAKER_02Great movie, very silly. Also, we watched the sheep detectives, and one of the characters from that movie, the killer from that movie, is the m main actor in Masters of the Universe. So we switched on Masters of the Universe right after Sheep Detectives, and we were like, wait, that's homeboy. That's the killer, bro. That's the sheep murderer.
SPEAKER_03Holy shit.
SPEAKER_02Anyway, so we watched that. Fucking, I walk, oh, I started reading the Stephen King book, about 150 pages in, Needful Things. It's fucking mid, it's a whole bag of mid. I feel like Stephen King sometimes is just writing shit. I don't know. It's about uh it's about the devil basically move the they haven't they haven't told there there hasn't been the turn in the story yet where you actually find out. Essentially the devil moves into town, he opens a shop full of stuff, and he's got items, but there's no prices on them, and you go in, and then he's so charismatic. And every the why why I'm pretty sure he's the devil is because every time somebody sees him in the story, his eyes change to the color that they love the most. Yeah, like there's this 11-year-old boy, and he wants to fuck his teacher, and she's got beautiful blue eyes, and then he he goes into the shop, and this guy's got beautiful blue eyes, like his teacher. Whatever he read the book before. Yeah, it's it's to be honest, I'm 150 pages in. I'm probably gonna finish it just because. Oh, I started another book too, but it's like a non-fiction book. Anyway, this Needful Things book, I don't know, it's fucking mid. Stephen King's just writing shit, just to fucking write shit. Like this devil's giving away all these enchanted gifts, and like nothing's really happening. He's basically like, I'll give you this, and then he gives it to them at a steep discount. Like one kid he gives a signed baseball card, one of the rarest ones in the world, and it's signed to the kid, and all he wants is 85 cents, but uh and he wants a favor. And the favor is a prank. The kid takes mud and he throws it on a girl's sheets. I don't understand what's happening in this story yet. I just don't get it. Maybe he's using the pranks to revitalize his youth. If it's that, I will I will burn the book. Okay. I will burn the book when I'm done reading.
SPEAKER_03Like uh, I know like it does I I haven't read it in so much. It's in Castle Rock, it's famously in Castle Rock. Yeah, I haven't read it in so long, but I do remember it being kind of a slow burn. I do, yeah.
SPEAKER_02I'm still reading it. Like I'm like I said, I'm 150 pages now. I'll start a couple days ago. I also started the new, well, maybe it's not his newest, but his maybe second newest, John Green. Oh, John Green. You know, the famous author from like the fault in our stars and like paper towns, like gay ass books like that. So you hear a nonfiction book called Tuberculosis is everything. And it's a it's a it's a it's a historical factual, like a like a historical reference about how tuberculosis has influenced basically everything in society. So the cowboy hat is I've only four I'm only 40 pages in on this book, but the cowboy hat was invented because of tuberculosis. The guy, the guy John Stetson, who he had tuberculosis, and way back in the day it used to be called consumption because it would just eat away at your body, it would destroy your lungs and shit. But before they had a cure to it, we have a cure to it now, million people still die of it every year. Um, before before there was a cure to it, what they used to say is if you have tuberculosis, go west. Because what they thought is like the dry, clean air was good for your lungs and it would probably it would kind of nurse you back to health. So he he he got tuberculosis and he said, All right, I'm gonna move west. So he moved, I forget where it was, but he moved somewhere. And where he moved, he found out he's found everybody there was wearing these shitty ass straw hats that were just garbage. So he created the cowboy hat, commonly called the Stetson, his last name, because of where he moved because of tuberculosis. Second thing I learned from this book is New Mexico, the state, was only added to the United States because of tuberculosis. So a bunch of people, yeah, way back in the day, a bunch of people were like, yo, it was the same kind of thing, right? Like you move west, you move to drier air. So a bunch of people how I forget how it went, is like they had to get they had to get a bunch of like white people down in New Mexico to like claim it or some shit. But how they got it is they enticed a bunch of tuberculosis patients to come down, inhabit New Mexico, and then that became the state somehow. It's crazy. It's like he's and like I'm reading the book and I'm like, bruh, this shit is fucking insane.
SPEAKER_03That's actually fucking crazy. I wonder if they'll like talk about like Doc Holiday and how he died of tuberculosis.
SPEAKER_02Yeah, it's connected there. Like, he's like, uh, he's like, yeah, Katy Perry's this song is inspired by tuberculosis, and he'll explain it. And it's like Katy Perry has a song inspired by tuberculosis, yeah. There's there's like I forget what it's called, but it's like a no, it's a it's a name and it has to do with like a certain area of the of the of America. And yeah, dude. I I it's crazy how many Katy Perry songs, you know, you fucking homo. Jesus Christ. She name her whole discography. I kissed the girls how she got the tuberculosis. Yeah, yeah, yeah. It was it was uh it was it was transmitted through uh through kissing.
SPEAKER_03She got touch of consumption.
SPEAKER_02Anyway, yeah, so I'm reading that. I watched um I watched a whole TV show in one day. It was only eight episodes. Harlan Coben's I Will Find You with Sam Worthington on Netflix. It was the number one show on Netflix. Oh word. So it's like it's classic cliche show or cliche plot. Father um is convicted for beating his son's brains in in his sleep with a baseball bat, goes to prison for five years, is only convicted because he has sleep terrors or night terrors, so he didn't remember he did in his sleep. So they were like, okay, he's convicted. They found the bloody bat in the house, but the boy's face was so badly mangled that they could only do a blood test to confirm it was his son. They couldn't actually confirm by um physical recognition. So he goes to jail for five years, all of a sudden, some some shit comes to light that his son is actually alive, breaks out of prison, has to find his little baby boy. Huh.
SPEAKER_03That actually sounds fucking interesting.
SPEAKER_02Yeah, there's like a pretty good cast in it, too. Um, fucking the guy who plays Mr. Krabs is in it. I forget his name. Clancy Clancy or Quincy Brandt, Clancy, I don't know, whatever. Quincy Jones. Quincy Jillian. Big tall, big tall white guy with a beard. He was also the the the villain in the Dexter reboot, the first one. Oh, word key, that guy. Yeah, yeah. I know who you're talking about. Milo Ventamiglia is in it. Um couple other people. It's actually a pretty decent show. It's pretty cliche, but it was alright. Um got a new job, got a plot, got hired at the outdoor comedy festival.
SPEAKER_03That was pretty sweet. Okay, I really want you to tell me all about McLaren. Because like I I hear like a lot of stories of McLaren. I told you one of my uncles got fucking literally like shot at McLaren Hotel. Like, I I know it's it's notorious for being ghetto as fuck. Oh, it's really ghetto. I drive by it every day on my way to work. Well, I don't really drive, I'm on the fucking bus. Yeah, but you see all the people sitting outside. Yeah, I see it. I see it. Yeah, it's bad. And I used to live, I used to live like uh in the exchange district, as you know.
SPEAKER_02Yeah, like just by the Matto Museum, kind of exactly.
SPEAKER_03And like uh I used to go to the McLaren sometimes just to get beer, but I would I'll never go there alone. It was like with my roommate. So like every time I went there, it's pretty fucking sketchy.
SPEAKER_02Yeah, it's sketchy, it's sketchy.
SPEAKER_03So pretty sketchy.
SPEAKER_02Okay, I'll give you the breakdown.
SPEAKER_03So yeah, I want to hear the breakdown of like working at a place like that.
SPEAKER_02Uh well, I first started working there. I was like, damn, this place is sketchy outside is fucking terrifying. This is so sketchy. I'm like, this is I'm fearful for my life. I do not like I honestly I really don't like working there, but I kind of have to. I don't really have a choice right now. Nobody else called me back. Oh no. Okay, so I had an interview at before we get to the McLaren, I had an interview at the monastery. Oh, yeah. Remember what I was telling you about that? Yeah, yeah. So I went and interviewed in person, and it was it was Sister Mary. Oh, Sister Mary? And like, let's say Sister Margaret. I don't fucking remember this other bitch's name. She looked like this though, bro. She was like, she looked like she was high as fuck. I don't know she could get, can't keep her eyes open. These people were, they were old as fuck. So I went inside, I was doing the interview, and they're like, How are you at making soups? I said, I could probably make it probably a mean soup. I was I was doing this interview, and like they're like, they're so old. And I had my hair tied up, and um, and uh I I I I pulled it down. One of the sisters was like, How long is your hair? So I pulled it down, they looked at it, and I was like, I was like, Yeah, I was like, I'll probably like shave my beard though if I get the job just because I'm working in a kitchen. Sister Mary was like, Not all of it though, right?
SPEAKER_03I was like, Well, you walked up in there looking like the fucking second coming of Christ.
SPEAKER_02Didn't even realize that until I got in the car after an Erica said that to me. She said, They probably thought you looked like Jesus. I said, Oh yeah, I forgot about that. I do look like Jesus. Anyway, so I did the interview and then they walked me around the they walked me around the place to show me the place. It's literally like a like a church old folks home. Oh yeah, and in their in the interview they said this. They said, Oh, so uh, how do you feel about like religious talk? Like it's not gonna offend you or anything, right? I said, No, I don't care. They were like, once a month we take a vow of silence for a whole day. Are you okay with that? I said, Yeah. They said, last guy didn't like it. I said, Okay, I just I don't need to talk to you guys. Like, why the I'm not gonna talk to you guys anyway. Like, what the fuck? So they show me around, and there's I swear to god, I go in the I go in the kitchen and there's this old guy there, like catatonic dude. Just I'm like, oh my god, somebody help this man. They show me around the kitchen, it's literally the smallest little prep area, and then they have like a like a house kitchen in there, yeah, like a house dishwasher and regular stove, regular oven, and you would just cook them food there. And I was like, all right, like I went for the interview. It was supposed to be Wednesday to Sunday, 10 to 6 p.m. But it was also literally like five minutes from my house. Yeah, so it would have been sweet, but I honestly even after I left the interview, I was like, I don't think I want that job. Yeah, I don't want to cook for these old fuckers every day. Yeah, just really, I don't know why, I just didn't want to. It just seemed like because like like they're like, you gotta order the food, you gotta plan out the menu, and you gotta cook it all from scratch. I said, pass, pass, dude.
SPEAKER_03Yeah, and also old people fucking suck. Yeah, so I hate every single old person I know, besides my grandma.
SPEAKER_02Same. Um, so then then Sister Mary called me on Saturday morning or Sunday or Friday. I don't know. She called me last week or before this week, and I woke up and she said, Hello, is this Raymond? I said, Yeah.
SPEAKER_05She said, Oh, well, we really enjoyed your interview, but we're gonna go with somebody else.
SPEAKER_02I said, Alright, have a good day. Like, take care, Sister Mary. What a bitch! Yeah, I was like, I was like, thank you for calling, but like, cool, thanks, whatever. So, okay, I go to the McLaren yesterday, I'm doing my training shift. I get it, I'm being trained by this guy named Ryan who's got a fucking band-aid on his face. And like, almost everybody there is missing at least one or two teeth. Seems legit. Also, everybody who works there lives there. They all live in the building, they're all fucking degenerates. Anyway, so this guy's training me. It's kind of nice guy, but after he trained me, I found out he's kind of a retard. Nobody likes him there. Um, but so he trains me and we're training, whatever, he's telling me all this stuff, and then he's like, Hey, you want to go you smoke? I said, Yeah. Yeah. He said, Let's go for a smoke. So, what they have is they have a big two by four that they put over the fridge doors and then they padlock it. So I could just leave the bar and go outside whenever I want and smoke, as long as I lock the shit up. Yeah. So then they can't get in. So I go outside and smoke, bust a cigarette, he we go back inside. He's like, hey man, I'll just buy you a pack of cigarettes because you're out. So he gives he we go to this corner store, he buys me a pack of cigarettes, great guy, whatever. Smoking cigarettes, having a good day. Um, and then he casually tells me as we're smoking cigarettes, we're talking about like all the meth heads in the area, and he's like, Yeah, I don't really like that drug. I said, What's drug? He said, meth. I said, never tried it. He said, Yeah, me neither, really. I said, but you did though. He said, Yeah, one time. One time. I cleaned my bedroom and my bathroom three times over. I said, Cool, man, cool. And then uh, so the other guy comes in, the other, so it's I I start two, and the shifts there are like uh ten to seven and or ten to five and then five to midnight. They're only open till midnight, they're not open until two, like regular bars. Yeah. So I'm there two to six, so I'm there for like two or two and a half hours with uh Ryan, and then this other guy, Tony, comes in, this old guy who hates Ryan with a passion. This guy hates Ryan. So he's we're you gotta you gotta weigh all the bottles and you gotta count all the beers before you leave to make sure you didn't oversell or you're not missing anything. Yeah, inventory and shit. Exactly, exactly. So so this guy Ryan does inventory, he's short like 46 beers, and and Tony's like Is he stealing the fucking beer? I don't know. How do you steal 46 beers? How do you steal 46 beers? Or is he giving fucking beer away to fucking like Uno? I don't know. Well, what happened is he counted the coolers as beers because he's retarded. Um anyway, so like he he was trying to he was trying to recount them, and Tony goes up to him and he's like, get the fuck out of here! Swear to God just yells in his face in the middle of the bar, just get the fuck out of here! And I'm like, I'm I'm I this is my first day. I'm like, shit, bro. Fuck. Ryan leaves. Tony's like, that guy's swear to God, Tony's Tony's like, Tony's like, that guy's a fucking retard. He probably showed you how to do the job completely wrong. He said, I'm gonna show you how to do it right. Then again, I'm only there with Tony for one more hour. Yeah, so I'm like, okay, I'll absorb as much of this knowledge as I can. As we're working there, this these girls come in. This has happened both days. This happened today as well. This girl came in. Was she hot? None of them are hot, Sean. None of them are hot. There was a lady there today wearing like a victorious secret, like like one piece bodysuit with jeans over top. It was so ratchet and disgusting. Yucky yucky, yucky, yucky. Anyway, anyway, so this girl comes in, she's got a big ass fucking reusable bag. She comes up to the side of the bar and she's like, you uh and as she's coming up, Tony's like, boosters. And I said, What? He said, Boosters. So she comes up to the side of the bar, pulls out chicken breasts, steak, chocolate, cheese. She says, You want all this for $15? The chicken breast in the package was $22 alone. Yeah. So, but she's like, You want all this for $15? Because she's there, they steal, and then they just sell their what they steal so they can afford drugs. Yeah. She comes in, she's like, You want this? I'm like, nah, I'm good. I also didn't have money, otherwise, I probably would have bought it. I mean it's fucking chicken breasts, dude. It's expensive. Yeah. Um, either way, I was like, nah, I don't want anything. She's like, ask him. I was like, Tony, do you want any of this shit? He's like, no. He's like, I was like, get out. Like, also, if people are there and they're not spending money, if they're not gambling or they're spending money, I have to kick them out. Like today, there was a guy who came in and he had the full-on fento fold, walked in, like stumbling. Like, literally, like every couple steps, he would like fold his body down. And I walked up to him, I was like, Hey man, you can't be in here. Like, get the fuck out if you're not buying anything. I didn't say fuck, but I was like, You gotta leave if you're not buying anything. And he literally doesn't respond, acts like I'm not even there. I'm like, maybe he can't hear me.
SPEAKER_03He's like lost.
SPEAKER_02I literally wait, I waited. He's lost in the fucking fog. I wait three minutes. I go talk to Gary, who's tipping me good all day. I said, Gary, what do I do with this guy? He says, You just gotta maybe say it a bit louder. So I went up to him and I said, Hey, you can't be in here, man. You gotta leave. He picked up his shit and left. I was like, crazy. That worked so easily. Uh yeah, a bunch of other dudes. The one guy came in, he was just sitting in a chair, pulled out his duffel bag, literally pulls out like freezer, freezer ziploc bags full of like papers, full of like paperwork. And he's going through it, and I'm like, Alright. Okay, I give I literally I give him three minutes. I was like, I'm gonna give him three minutes. I'm gonna give him a minute. He didn't just sit there. He's sitting there with this boy in a wheelchair who's got no leg. He doesn't have a leg. He's just sitting there in a wheelchair. I said, Hey guys, if you're not buying anything, you have to leave. Yeah, guy in the wheelchair, like he's like, Alright, cool. He leaves. Guy in with the papers looks up at me like I'm like, You heard me, man. Like, you gotta leave. He said, five minutes. I said, Alright, I'll give you five minutes. Gave him five minutes, went back. I said, Hey man, it's been five minutes. Get out. Get the fuck out of here. He said, he said, okay. And then he packed up all his papers and left. And mostly, literally, dude, I kind of sat there for most of the day. Like, I made $60 in tips. Lots of the day you're just sitting there because people are just coming in to gamble. Yeah, just coming in to play VLTs and drink beers. And like, I haven't worked there nighttime yet, but it's been like pretty like not lax, definitely not lax, definitely not chill, but definitely nothing like super crazy. Yeah. Yet anyway. Yeah. Okay, cool. But yeah, I'm not I'm not making a lot of money, I'm making minimum wage, and I'm making tips. So and then I'm working the great Girl Doris Comedy Fest, and I think I'm making like 20 bucks an hour or something, and I got three days of work. I got like 30 hours and three days of it. It's like 10 hour shifts.
SPEAKER_03That's dope. Yeah. I had an opportunity to work uh Summer of Sound um today and tomorrow because Summer of Sound is on today and tomorrow. And like uh one of the co-owners of uh where I work runs Summer of Sound, and I didn't really want to do it because I'd you know fucking well, well then I wouldn't be able to record this, and then I also have like dinner planned tomorrow with my sister, my brother, and it's like yeah, I don't I don't really want to work Summer of Sound. If I was gonna if I were to go to Summer of Sound, I would go to Summer of Sound. Yeah, yeah.
SPEAKER_02Well, like what would you have been doing if you were working there?
SPEAKER_03It's fucking like selling drink tickets and bullshit like that. Selling drinks. But then I needed to get my uh service safe in order to do that, which also costs money. It's only 25 bucks. Yeah, it's only 25 bucks.
SPEAKER_02I did it on Sunday, literally did it on Sunday.
SPEAKER_03Yeah. And it's I'm gonna do it for like something I'm only gonna be I'm gonna get it for something I'm only gonna be doing for fucking two days. I don't know, man.
SPEAKER_02If you like it's good to have, especially if you want to like work at a bar or anything like that. Like, I think at this point, like I think I I don't mind working in a bar, it's fine. Uh I think it would be better to work in a better bar. So I mean, like, if if I continue at this job and I keep doing whatever I'm doing, I think I'm gonna try and take like a bartending class or something and then get a better bartending job so I can make better tips and not have just this sketchy ass work environment. Yeah, but yeah, I don't know. We'll see how it goes. I don't know, man. I don't know uh if you if you would have taken that's the thing. If you have a legitimate reason to miss the podcast, I won't be upset. Like if you're like I'm working, then I'm like, okay, you're working. Yeah, then again, I would probably do some investigative work because last time you told me you were working. Weren't working. Hey guys, you weren't working last time.
SPEAKER_03Oh they all know. They all know, they all know the reason. Yeah.
SPEAKER_02Oh, oh, okay, so uh Sheep Detectives eight out of ten, Masters of the Universe, 8.5 out of 10, Harlan Harlan Coban's um I will find you 6.7 out of 10. 6.7 out of 10.
SPEAKER_03Alright, well, for me, fucking kite was definitely a 9 out of 10. 9 out of 10 for kite. Um and then Shigarui Death Frenzy, another 9 out of 10 for me. And then the other one there, uh, what the hell was it called again? Kurazaka, I think it was called. I'm gonna give that like a seven. It was like, it was good, and then it just kind of was like, oh, got silly. Like most animes do get silly though, from what I recall. They get pretty out there.
SPEAKER_02Yeah, animes are silly, bro.
SPEAKER_03Animes are naturally silly.
SPEAKER_02Animes are silly. Um, do you give all your ratings? Because I have something that I'm fucking crazy excited about for the silliest reason. What's uh fucking the so the the absolute universe? DC is doing an absolute universe right now. If you're a comic book lover, you should be reading it. It's very, very good. All the stories are great. Um the Batman one is by far, I think, the best, obviously the coolest. Um they're we're getting an absolute Batman animated show. Oh yeah. Yeah.
SPEAKER_03Fucking that that shit looks fucking tight as fuck.
SPEAKER_02I mean, they didn't show any trailer yet, but I mean they fucking the comic looks fucking tight. I haven't read the comic yet. You should, it's great. They have a they they do it, they do a very fun, interesting spin on all the characters. Batman's like seven feet tall and like 400 pounds, and he's just like a hulking beast, but he's a blue-collar worker, he's not rich. But he's still Batman? He's Batman, but he's a he's a she's a he's a structural engineer. Oh shit. So he's like he's like an he's like an intelligent, he's a genius level person, but he doesn't have any money. So his his Batcave, his Batcaves are set up in abandoned penthouses in Gotham. Pretty cool.
SPEAKER_03That actually sounds pretty dope. Pretty cool.
SPEAKER_02The the Batmobile is a giant um like excavator type construction vehicle. Pretty cool. That's pretty cool. Pretty cool. The bat symbol on his chest uh comes out and is an as an axe head. He has an axe handle and he takes the bat symbol off his chest, and it's the head of a steel axe that he fucking slices people up with. He pulls out the ears from his cowl, yeah, and there's knives in them. So is he murdering people? He's like he's like very, very brutally maiming people, but he still doesn't kill. But like, but like very brutally maiming, like very brutal. Like he kidding he fucked up Bane so much that I think the only thing that's left of Bane right now in the comic books is like his brain.
SPEAKER_03Fucking crazy.
SPEAKER_02Yeah, he's like regenerating back from his brain.
SPEAKER_03Holy fuck, man.
SPEAKER_02It's really cool, man. It's some of the some of the best comic booking ever.
SPEAKER_03He may as well fucking kill him, like all he is is just a just a floating brain regenerating itself.
SPEAKER_02Yeah, and like it's so crazy because Batman's seven feet tall in this one, but Bane in it is like uh he's like as big as like a Titan. Holy fuck. Like he grows, like he just keeps like he keeps pumping himself with a venom and he keeps getting bigger. Literally, there's this, there's a there's a there's a page or or a panel in the graph in the comic book where it shows Bane's comparison size next to Batman, and Batman's literally like a little ant, and Bane is like this giant monstrosity titan. Keeping in mind that Batman is seven feet tall in this comic book. Like he's huge. That's pretty fucking insane. Pretty sweet. So that that's coming. Um I don't know what else I'm excited about here. Let's see if we got anything else because we should uh jump into game.
SPEAKER_03Well, I know fucking like uh like um there's also other animes coming out, like the Sekiro anime coming out, and there's also the Bloodborne anime coming out, which I'm excited for. I'm excited for both of them.
SPEAKER_02Dude, also, you know what's coming out?
SPEAKER_03What's that?
SPEAKER_02Magic School Bus Live Action with fucking Elizabeth Elizabeth Banks as Miss Fizzle. Dude! Oh man, that's sick. That's actually pretty sick. Actually, got me fucking so jazzed up. When I've seen that, I was like, that's so cool, bro. That's fucking awesome. I'm gonna goon so hard of Miss Fizzle. Yeah, man, Elizabeth Banks is hot. She's hot as fuck, dude. We're getting old now, but she's hot.
SPEAKER_03Yeah, she means fucking like aging like fine wine, in my opinion.
SPEAKER_02Uh, like a fucking like milk, dude.
SPEAKER_03Yeah, man. So you know what time it is right now?
SPEAKER_02Because you know what? It might be worth it for uh people to actually understand the rules of the game. Okay, yeah. So this is this is what I'm thinking. Um you pick a you pick a theme. You pick a theme for the week, for the week, whatever you want. The theme is up to the choice of the person who's making the questions. One theme that I have chosen for next week's questions is heist movies. Ooh, okay, weird. You pick a theme in a genre, and then you pick five movies. We could do five, we could do four, haven't decided yet. Maybe four is better, maybe we'll start with five. We'll do five movies. You pick five movies, and then you get five clues ranging from hard or hardest to easiest. And then if you you give me the first clue, same thing, or vice versa. First clue is given, that is five points, all the way down to one point. If you don't get it at the last guess, you get zero points for that clue. Okay, well then if this is a weekly game, we start it, and we when we officially start it, we keep track of points by the end of let's say 15 to 20 episodes. Whoever loses has to do whatever the winner wants. Oh, okay. Only sexual. Oh, yeah. That means that means docking, that means butt fucking, that means dick sucking, that means handjobs, all those things.
SPEAKER_03Fucking dude, hell yeah. Right. Anyway, so that's 100% game for this game. I like this game.
SPEAKER_02Okay, so I obviously you didn't know the game theory of the rules that we're that we have planned now. So the round we will do today will be like last week, it'll just be around for fun.
SPEAKER_03Yeah, because like um, because like I don't have an actual like uh theme.
SPEAKER_02Yeah, yeah, no worries. I didn't have a theme last week either. It was just like it was just something to try out to test the water, so we'll try it today.
SPEAKER_03But I do I do have five movies, and I do have five questions for each one of those movies. Beautiful!
SPEAKER_02That the then then look at this. This is even a better test run than last week, so I didn't have five questions for each one. Regardless of theme, this is a good test run. I like it, I like it, I like it. Okay.
SPEAKER_03Fun box, fun box. This time it's me asking the questions, and it's Raymond guessing. Just give me a moment here. I gotta pull this shit out.
SPEAKER_02Your host today is Sean Bouvier. The contestant is Raymond Coss. We will be playing for a trip to Sean's asshole.
SPEAKER_03Alright. Alrighty. So this is the first movie of the day. First question here, Raymond. Give me the review. This movie argues that your life could have been completely different if you had simply learned to do your taxes better.
SPEAKER_02The accountant. No, no. Oh, yeah, and also the same thing we did last week. It should be like time limit or three guesses per clue, and then we got immediately move on to the next one.
SPEAKER_03I think three guesses is good.
SPEAKER_02Okay.
SPEAKER_03Um, give it to me one more time, boss. This movie argues that your life could have been completely different if he had simply learned to do your taxes better.
SPEAKER_02I'm trying to think of like a like a movie where like they go to jail for like tax evasion or something. I'm sure it's not that. I'm sure it's like a fucking tongue-in-cheek ass review. Give me the next one.
SPEAKER_03At one point, two inanimate objects are somehow the most relatable relatable characters.
SPEAKER_02At some point, two inanimate objects are the most relatable characters.
SPEAKER_04Two inanimate objects.
SPEAKER_02Fucking Toy Story? I don't know, man.
SPEAKER_03The film suggests that greatness can be achieved by acting like a complete idiot.
SPEAKER_02Nope. I also haven't seen that movie.
SPEAKER_03I guarantee you, these are movies that you have. Yeah, yeah, I know, I know, I know. I made sure of it. I made sure. I was like, hey, these are movies that Raymond has. Third guess again. Alright, third guess again. The film suggests that greatness can be achieved by acting like a complete idiot. Bro, blank goes one it's a little bit easier. Somewhere in the multiverse, a condiment would require a a wedding ring. You may not have seen this movie in a while, but I know we will 100% watch it together.
SPEAKER_02Yeah, yeah. I'm trying to think. Mult multiverse is where I'm trying to try to latch on to here. Multiverse, taxes, inanimate objects. Everything, everywhere, all at once?
SPEAKER_00Yes! Ding ding ding ding! Raven has got it! There you go!
SPEAKER_02Beautiful, beautiful. There you go, brother. I seen that movie once in the theater with my mom for Mother's Day. Didn't we watch it together? I thought we did. I didn't even watch like maybe it was at the beginning. Yeah, I don't know. I seen that movie once in the theater with my mom. It was good though.
SPEAKER_03It was really good. I really like that movie. Fucking solid fucking movie. What was the last clue? The last clue was a family drama accidentally becomes a cosmic crisis. There we go. Yeah, I definitely would have got that one. Yeah, that's that's the one. Okay. All right. Here's movie number two. Number two. Our fun box. Alright. Alright. First question, Raymond. First question. Okay. Hasbro would have been shut down immediately if this happened in real life. Barbie? Nope.
SPEAKER_04Hasbro.
SPEAKER_03You said Hasbro, right? Yeah. Uh read it one more time. Hasbro would have been shut down immediately if this happened in real life.
SPEAKER_02Small soldiers?
SPEAKER_03Well, the other questions I had written down here were. Because that was the first one, right? That was the very first question. Really? Look, the second question was imagine giving an action figure the tactical knowledge of a Navy SEAL and the emotional maturity of a toddler. That was question number two. And then third clue was this movie made every kid suspicious of their toys for about a week. Yeah. And then clue number four was. This could also be Toy Story a little bit. A little bit.
SPEAKER_02Every clue movies, I'm like, I could also guess Toy Story.
SPEAKER_03Shit. That's good. That's a good question, though. It is good. Yeah. Clue number four was the heroes are essentially refugees being hunted by public war criminals.
SPEAKER_02That's a great fucking review.
SPEAKER_03Damn, that's funny. Five is the phrase, they're just toys, ages horribly. Yeah, yeah, yeah. Okay, yeah. Yeah, okay.
SPEAKER_02Nice, nice, nice.
SPEAKER_03Clue number four was the better one, I feel like. That was like the fucking funniest one. I need to put that in there.
SPEAKER_02There's uh there's some of them too that like I'm like, some of them I pick like for for when I'm making them, and I'm like, I know this is easy, this makes it easier, but it's so funny. Yeah.
SPEAKER_03Like I have to put this one in. It's hilarious. Yeah, fuck it. I needed to do it. Yeah. Alright. Are you ready for movie number three, Ray? Are you ready? Let's do it! All right, we're on the third round of fun box with Raven Coss. Sponsored by Blue Chew. Alright. Clue number one. A grown man's future therapy sessions begin with a birthday present. Sorry, I need to repeat that again. Okay, clue number one, Raymond. Clue number one, Raymond. A grown man's future therapy sessions begin with a birthday present.
SPEAKER_04Future therapy sessions begin with a birthday present.
SPEAKER_02I got nothing to make clue number two.
SPEAKER_03Alright, clue number two. This movie is really about workplace insecurity and being replaced by a newer model.
SPEAKER_04Being replaced by workplace insecurity, being replaced by a newer model.
SPEAKER_02I want to say companion, but I know that's definitely not it. It's not it. Definitely not companion. Have you ever seen that movie? Uh it's on my watch list.
SPEAKER_03I really want to watch it. Jack Quaid's just fucking a robot. Yeah, I know all about that. Robot like goes fucking basically kind of crazy.
SPEAKER_02I think she like kills everybody in the movie. Yeah. She regains sentient, she gains sentience or something. I don't know. Sylvie Thatcher's hot.
SPEAKER_03Yeah, fucking, she's fucking so hot. I got nothing. Give me next one. Alright, next one. The third clue, uh, it's it's pretty it's pretty like right on the nose, I feel like.
SPEAKER_02Yeah, I've another one that's not on the nose. Give me that one first one.
SPEAKER_03All right. Okay, so I'm gonna I'll do uh clue number four. Another character's entire personality is I've been here longer.
SPEAKER_02Ooh. What was the first one again?
SPEAKER_03The first one was a grown man's future therapy sessions begin with a birthday present.
SPEAKER_02I got nothing, bro. Give me a big one.
SPEAKER_03Alright, here's another one. Here's another one. The stakes are absurdly high considering none of the characters pay rent.
SPEAKER_00Okay.
SPEAKER_03This is a movie, right? This is a movie. This is 100% a movie, which you have 100% zero.
SPEAKER_02Yeah, yeah. I bet I have. The characters don't pay rent. They don't pay rent. That's a fucking that's a clue right there. They all live in the same house. That's a clue right there. That's a clue. You gotta give me the fucking easy one, I guess.
SPEAKER_03Alright, here's the easy one. Alright. Alright, this is it. One character has an existential crisis because he learns that he's merchandise.
SPEAKER_02Wait, this isn't Toy Story, is it? No fucking way!
SPEAKER_00No fucking way. You're fucking with me.
SPEAKER_02Hold on, kid, hold on, hold on. Reb all the clues again real quick. Just don't even stop. Just read them all.
SPEAKER_03Grown man's future therapy sessions begin with the birthday present. Clue number one. Clue number two was this movie is really about workplace insecurity and being replaced by a newer model. Damn. Clue number three, I read it to you already. One character has an existential crisis because he learns he's merchandised. Clue number four, another character's entire personality is I've been here long enough. Oh, damn. Clue number five was the stakes are absurdly high considering none of the characters pay rate. That's pretty good. That's a good one. That's a good one. That's a cheers. That's awful. Go get a beer. I'm gonna grab a beer. I'm gonna grab a beer!
SPEAKER_00Alright, pause.
SPEAKER_01Oh guys.
SPEAKER_02I'm not doing good on this one. I gotta really, really pull myself up on my bootstraps. Well, whatever. I got one five-pointer. That's good for today.
SPEAKER_03Fucking I'm gonna go out there to grab a beer. My parents are watching fucking obsession right now. Since it's on fucking streaming right now, bro.
SPEAKER_02Yeah, yeah, I downloaded it last night.
SPEAKER_03Fucking dude, right on fucking shit. I was hoping they would watch it with me because I want to see their reactions, but I'm glad they're watching it.
SPEAKER_02Oh, you know what I watched again? I watched Begonia again with Erica. It's crazy. You see that movie once?
SPEAKER_03Yeah.
SPEAKER_02The second rewatch of that movie is way crazier than the first one. Because the second rewatch of the movie, you under you know the twist that he's actually right the whole time, and then he seems, he seems less unhinged and more just like at a certain edge of like, I don't know. It's like I watched it a second time and I was like, man, like he's definitely unhinged in the movie. He kills his mom with fucking anti-freeze. Yeah. But like in points of the movie where he's exposing all this dialogue, it's all true. Yeah. You're like, bruh, that shit. I watched it again with Erica. It made certain parts of the movie way funnier to me.
SPEAKER_03Fucking okay. I I told you I was gonna re-watch it too.
SPEAKER_02That might be my my most favorite movie I've watched in a while. Yeah, that movie's so good.
SPEAKER_03Fucking dude, all right, Kate. Movie's so good. I'm gonna get that's that's that's some pretty high esteem. I I don't know. I really like that movie, man. You blew that to a really high esteem, my friend.
SPEAKER_02I might have to re-watch it. Yeah, I don't know what it is. I think it's just the way it's shot. Okay, so it's the way it's shot, and it's also the music in that movie. Okay, the the score is amazing. The score is fucking pretty good. It contributes to the manic feeling that you think the character is going through. Yeah, it's it's it's it's a it's perfect. I don't know, it's amazingly shot, and it's so it's also like such a self-contained story. Yeah, it's basically three people in a house the whole movie. Yeah. And it's it's fucking it's it's it's it's on the edge of your seat, good. I don't know, man. I enjoyed it a lot.
SPEAKER_03Like uh, you're uh you already know how I felt about it. I'm pretty sure the the listeners, like because we talked about this last episode, they know how I feel about it too. I really, really, really enjoyed it until the last five minutes. Maybe if I rewatch it, maybe I'll appreciate the last five minutes a little bit more.
SPEAKER_02I don't know. I I like the last five minutes so much. I like how I like how the movie stylistically starts on a B on a begonia and ends with a B on a begonia because the only thing that's changed is humans are gone because they are a self-destructive species.
SPEAKER_03If you like begonia, you should check out that I forget the director's name, but you should check out his uh previous movie. The other one.
SPEAKER_02It's also had it also has got Jesse Plemens in it, and also it's called The Lobster.
SPEAKER_03Fucking well, he did that one as well.
SPEAKER_02That's the one Colin Farrell. That's Casey Affleck. Never mind, never mind. I'm talking, I'm talking about a different one. Uh I'm thinking about so have you ever heard have you ever seen the movie Um The Killing of a Sacred Deer with Barry Koenig and Colin Farrell? I've heard about that one. That guy also directed a movie called The Lobster with Colin Farrell, where the whole premise of the movie is you have to find a mate within six weeks or whatever, and if you don't find them, then you turn into an animal. I don't know who directed Begonia. It might, it's a different guy because he didn't direct the lobster.
SPEAKER_03Yeah, fucking begonia came one second here. One second here. We'll get back to the questions. We'll get back to the question. Yeah, a little sidebar, dude. A little sidebar. So begonia is uh Yorgos Lanthemos. And Yorgos Lanthemos, he uh he did this movie called Dog Tooth, which is fucking absolutely insane. Okay. Uh he also um he did do killing of the sacred deer as well. Oh, okay. It is the same guy then.
SPEAKER_02So he also did the lobster, then, right?
SPEAKER_03Yeah, it's the year. Philemography. Yeah, he did the lobster. Okay, cool. Killing of the sacred deer. Crazy.
SPEAKER_02That guy that's gonna do begonia.
SPEAKER_03Yeah, did begonia, he did poor things as well.
SPEAKER_02Oh, you know what's crazy?
SPEAKER_03And uh kinds of kindness, which was also really, really good. I really liked uh kinds of kindness.
SPEAKER_02Yeah, and like he that guy's that guy's really good at getting somebody to do a score, too, because in that movie, The Killing of a Sacred Deer, there's virtually zero score, and it makes the movie so much fucking creepier.
SPEAKER_03Yeah, fucking, it makes more more things more like ominous and shit. Brother, that movie is creepy as fuck. Fucking alright, that was our side quest.
SPEAKER_02Yeah, dude, sorry. I got I because I was telling you about the movies I watched and I was like, oh yeah, I watched begonia and me and Eric were hanging out, and I was like, What do you want to watch? And she's like, I don't know, you want to watch the bear? And I was like, not really. And she was like, Okay, well, what do you want to watch? And we were looking at stuff, and I was like, fuck it, I'm dude. I'm just putting on begonia again. And Eric has this thing where if I've watched something, yeah, she does not want to watch it with me. Yeah, she's afraid that you're gonna give away spoilers. No, she's just like, you've already seen it.
SPEAKER_03And I said, I like movies, yeah, I'll re-watch it. Yeah, and so she's like, Oh, I'm gonna experience it with you something like that.
SPEAKER_02Gay as fuck. That's pretty gay. So, guess what? I I said, You don't got a choice. I put it on and I said, You're watching it. Yeah, and we watch it, and she liked it. So that's good. It was it was it was a win-win, but god damn that movie's good. I'm I think I'm gonna fucking re-watch it tonight now.
SPEAKER_03Because you're fucking you're hyping me up, man. You are hyping me up, brother. Fuck it. I am watching it tonight.
SPEAKER_02Maybe it's just me, dude, but I I really like that movie. Like a lot of it.
SPEAKER_03I'm fucking, I'm gonna watch it tonight, man. I'm gonna I'm gonna do it again. But yo, Raymond, are you ready now for movie number four? Back to fun box. Back to fun box. We're on movie number four now. Movie number four. Right, your first clue, Ray. Your first clue. This movie proves ordering a drink can be a high risk activity. Okay. Oh.
SPEAKER_02Okay, so the the the catalyst of the movie, it seems, is uh from buying one drink. Absolutely. So let me think. Let me think deep about this. Buying one drink, buying one drink. Fucking, who likes to buy drinks? Fucking um, fucking. Next question!
SPEAKER_03Next question. Here's clue number two. One man weaponizes manners better than most people weaponize guns. Yes, man. Nope.
SPEAKER_02Like, weaponizes manners more than people weaponize guns. Please and thank you. Yes, sir. Massa, mass is seven years of slave. 12 years a slave. How many years did they have slavery? Quite a while. Oh, I thought it was like seven or twelve. I don't know. There's a movie. There's a movie called 12 years of a slave. Dozen years as a slave, dude. Um next clue.
SPEAKER_03Next clue. All right. A theater kid gets the revenge fantasy of a lifetime. A theater kid gets the revenge fantasy of a lifetime is clue number three.
SPEAKER_02Hmm. Damn, these are good clues, bro. I know, these are pretty solid.
SPEAKER_03I know.
SPEAKER_02They're they're a little tough, but there's some there's some there's some easy ones in there, too. Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah. Fucking theater, theater kid gets fucking revenge. Fucking theater kid gets revenge. I guess we're going to two points, brother.
SPEAKER_03Alright. Next question. Yes, sir! Alright, next question. Several people discovered that speaking a little Italian is actually worse than speaking no Italian.
SPEAKER_04Speaking a little Italian.
SPEAKER_02I don't know why when you said Italian, the only thing I can think of is Mario.
SPEAKER_03It is 100% not Mario.
SPEAKER_02Not Mario.
SPEAKER_03Next one. Never trust a man who drinks milk. Never trust a man who drinks milk.
SPEAKER_02I'm just trying to think what men drink milk in movies. Bruh, this is a toughie. This is a toughie. The the biopic of Harvey Milk, the gay, the gay activist. No, it's not milk. It's not milk. Harvey Kaitel, gay activist, dude. Damn it. I don't I got nothing. Inglorious bastards. Damn. Yeah, you've literally picked movies I've seen once. You're like, you've seen this movie once. Get it in there. You've seen Toy Story and Small Soldiers once. That's why I got Small Soldiers on the first one. But Toy Story was good, good clues. This one though is also, you know what? Fair. I'm losing. It's fine. But I am gonna push back because these are the these are movies that you're like, yo, you want to get drunk and watch Inglorious Bastards? And I'm like, yeah, sure. And then I'm fucking blackout drunk, fucking on dingers watching Inglorious Bastards, and you're like, remember that fucking shit? Anyway, zero points. Last question.
SPEAKER_03All right. This is the last movie right here. The last movie. And like, I swear to God, I think you should definitely get this. I should. Pegonia. It's Pagonia. It's Pagonia. It's not Pagonia. I guess begonia. The last movie. Question number one. Clue number one. This movie's plot only exists because somebody couldn't finish smoking something. Oh, is this Pineapple Express? Ding ding ding ding! It's Pineapple Express! Let's go!
SPEAKER_06Woo-hoo!
SPEAKER_03Alright, that fuck you up. I knew you would get that one. I knew you would get that one. Alright. You want to hear the rest of the clues? Yes, sir. Alright, clue number two was the protagonists handle danger the same way raccoons handle garbage cans. When again, clue number three, two men become best friends primarily because neither knows what they're doing. Okay, clue number four: every attempt to solve the problem somehow creates a bigger problem. And then clue number five was this may be the only action movie where hiding and crying is a recurring strategy.
SPEAKER_02Yeah, I like that. Yep, fucking pretty good questions, man. Not bad, not bad. That was our actually not even official. That was our second practice round of fun box. I really like this game.
SPEAKER_03I'm liking it. Yeah, I'm digging it. I like being the host. I wanna I want to manifest uh you know like being a game show host when I fucking do that shit.
SPEAKER_02Every second week, brother. That's you. Every second week, brother. All right, all right. Yeah, well, we're gonna we're gonna iron out the details of this game and get it nice and cozy. And if you guys hate this game, guess what? We like it. So I like it. We're probably gonna keep doing it. I want to keep doing it. And that's the thing. The the the more we do it, the quicker it'll get. So, you know, we won't have like a long ass segment, but also maybe y'all like that. Maybe y'all like us talking. I mean, you're listening to the podcast.
SPEAKER_03Yeah, if you if you're not if you don't like us talking, then what the fuck you doing listening?
SPEAKER_02I mean, there's only like eight people listening, but it's okay. All more than eight people. All eight of you, we fucking love you. We love you. You guys are homies, you're a ride or dies. If you're a day one, you're here till death. And guess what? If day ones make it to episode 100 and you can prove it, you get a gift bag. Oh my god. Yeah, you know what?
SPEAKER_03You get a 50 bag.
SPEAKER_02No, no, no. That is for me. We are not giving away drugs. I was thinking we just like spit in the bag or something. Like give them a cum jar. I didn't say what has to be in the gift bag. You get a cum jar. Yeah, dude. We'll start saving up right now. We'll start doing a couple jars because there's only gonna be a couple day ones. Yep. On episode 100, when that shit drops, open your mailbox, it's gonna be full of cum. Get a fucking cum jar. Yeah. Um, so I don't know. We could jump into fucking House of the Dragon unless you just want to bullshit, unless you got anything on your mind.
SPEAKER_03I got nothing in my mind besides like what's what kind of cart do you got there, my friend?
SPEAKER_02What kind of cart do I got here? The smokable kind. What kind of cart you got there?
SPEAKER_03It's an empty one. Oh, yeah, yeah. Classic.
SPEAKER_02That sucks, bro. Sucks to have empty carts, man. Fuck, eh? Fucking dude, I have no weed. I have nothing.
SPEAKER_03Fucking fucking.
SPEAKER_02How? How? How? Well, because I am not a Native American man.
SPEAKER_03I am asking you how. I know. Like, well, like uh the wrestling money that I have, I have set aside for my for for dinner tomorrow because me.
SPEAKER_02What are you guys doing for dinner? You going to fucking 529?
SPEAKER_03We're going to get some Italian. Let me read it to you guys. Olive Garden.
SPEAKER_02We did that last time. We're running to this Italian spot. It's pretty good, pretty low-key. It's called the Olive Garden.
SPEAKER_03It's called where are we going again? Nicole booked a reservation. Pasquales. Dude, that's exactly where we are going. Yeah? Yeah, that's dude. I didn't even fucking read it. Yeah, it's a good place. Yeah, that's where we're going.
SPEAKER_02It's on Marion. Yeah. That's 100% where we're going. Been there a couple times. Pretty good.
SPEAKER_03Yeah, it's fucking like I heard I heard it's really good. Yeah.
SPEAKER_02I've never been, but yeah, you can get I don't know. Last time I went there, I went there with a couple people, Erica, maybe my mom, I don't know who else. But one of us ordered like a pizza and they had like the tiniest little little baby shrimps on it. It was delicious.
SPEAKER_03Oh shit.
SPEAKER_02The little shrimp pizza.
SPEAKER_03Yeah, I wanted to make sure that I had money set aside for the dinner because every time I go out for dinner with Nicole and William, every time I go out, one of them ends up paying for me because I'm always fucking broke. And I fucking hate that shit. So I'm like, you know, I was like, you know what? I told myself this time I better have some fucking money set aside. And then what I don't spend, I'm gonna use that to buy myself weed to get myself through till next week. Yeah, yeah. Okay, and so like don't buy any weed yet, Sean. Don't go overspending. Fucking save that money for tomorrow. Don't let your siblings down. Fucking buy your own fucking meal this time. And then buy yourself some fucking weed. Yeah, yeah.
SPEAKER_02That's what I'm doing. Who's all going to the dinner?
SPEAKER_03It's just me and Nicole and William, my siblings.
SPEAKER_02Nice. Yeah, it should be fun. They got good shit. You like Italian food? Dude, I love Italians. I don't. I hate Italians. You ever you ever you ever realize that like Italian dressing is is exactly like Italians? It's greasy and it smells disgusting.
SPEAKER_03Holy fuck.
SPEAKER_02I wrote that joke. I wrote that joke like six years ago or something.
SPEAKER_03That's a funny one. That's a funny one. I like that one. But yeah, that's what's going on tomorrow. Considering pulling out a loan. Like, oh fucking, I guess it's like a hundred dollar loan. From where? Fucking they can get like online loans. Oh no, brother. You're going in the wrong direction. I know. But fucking most of my shit's fucking most of my shit's fucking.
SPEAKER_02Oh yeah, question, question. So now that you've paid off your ex-girlfriend and yours expensive phone bill, I'll give me your phone doesn't work.
SPEAKER_03Well, I need to fucking I need to get a new phone. Because they completely my contract's up.
SPEAKER_02Yeah, when your contract's up, you can still use the phone. I'm like, fucking, I don't know what to do.
SPEAKER_03You just keep paying for the bill. I need a new contract. I don't know why my phone is not working. I don't know. Fuck kudu. I'm going somewhere else. I'm not dealing with kudu no more.
SPEAKER_02Kudu. Yeah, I'm not dealing with no. I don't know what that is. It sounds like something you found online where you found a fucking how to get checks, dude. No, fucking kudu? What do you got a kid? What do you got? A tangerine bank account, you 80-year-old fuck. You don't know what kudu is? Kudu mobile? No, dude. I'm a fucking you I'm a normal guy. Rogers, MTS.
SPEAKER_03Fucking well, like the kudu has like a bunch of fucking ads everywhere. You know what? You know that fucking there's a famous one, like kudu. Keep doing it all, baby. I'll remember. I won't. You only have them in movie theaters, but then you you you you you go to fucking that one theater. Yeah, the best one, dude. It's one of the best ones. The best one, dude. Trademark Cinema. It's the best one. And they also have like the same commercials as Cineplex, so I know now I'm like, uh, yeah, this guy doesn't know what the fuck I'm talking about. No, dude. They have bad ads. They have kudu ads at Cineplex.
SPEAKER_02Yeah, at the one I go to, they have fucking voodoo ads, dude. It's fucking just it's just people trying to stick little needles in dolls, bro. Shit, dude. Sorry, I just did word association, a little rhyming game there. Anyway, I have no idea what fucking kudu is. Maybe I've heard of it before. I don't know. I'm a normal guy. You know what I do? Kudu's owned by TELUS. You know, TELUS. Tell who? Motherfucker. Let me tell you. Tell us. Tell us who you. Tell me. Me and tell us.
SPEAKER_05Tell all of us. What are we talking about? No, no one can tell us.
SPEAKER_00What do you mean, tell us? Tell you what? Kudu is owned by TELUS. Tell you what? Oh my god.
SPEAKER_02What do you want me to tell you, Sean? You're fucking trolling. What do you mean? You keep saying kudu is owned by Tel. What do you want me to tell? Tell us what? There's only one of you here.
SPEAKER_00You're fucking rage baiting me. You're rage. I'm done.
SPEAKER_02What do you mean tell us? Tell us what? Oh my god.
SPEAKER_03Anyway, yeah. Tell us all about House of the Dragon.
SPEAKER_02How about that? Wow, Sean's trying to move on because he's fucking getting classically rage baited by a king. Dude, I'm king rage bait.
SPEAKER_03I deserve it. I deserve it. I deserve it. I deserve it.
SPEAKER_02It's fine. It's fine. I'm joking. I know. I know. Also, also, yeah, no, I can't I understand what tell us is. Whatever, dude. You got kudu. Good for you. I'm just a normal guy. You know what I do? Every two years, my phone contract is up around like November, December. And around December is when they have like all these crazy boxing days, or like in November, it's Black Friday sales. Yeah. And Walmart's in the city will have this thing that they say, sign up with us for a contract under this carrier for zero dollars. Get this phone, and we're gonna give you money. So give you money. Yeah. So every every two years, Erica and I we wait. So what happens is Walmart will usually start at around $200. So they'll say, sign up, zero dollars today, but and you get this phone, and we'll give you $200 Walmart gift card. But after a couple weeks, they start to raise the prices because they're trying to get all this old stock of phones out of their store. Yeah, makes sense. They want to make room for the new phone. And like eventually, the the the cap I think is around $400 and then it resets. But eventually it will keep going up, and then you'll go into the store and they'll say, sign up for a phone today, get a $400 gift card and take the phone. So that's what Erica and I will do. And for the past like four years, we've made like the first year, it was I got a $400 gift card, Erica got a $350 gift card. Then last year, Erica waited, or the last time Erica waited like a week too long. So we only got $200 each, but still, that's $400 of anything you want to buy at Walmart. Walmart's a pretty big store. Walmart's yeah, it's a big company. Like they sell, they sell, they sell, like it's not like like superstores, like you could buy food there. Yeah. You can't buy a TV. Walmart, you could buy a fucking TV. Yeah. Like, like, you know what I mean?
SPEAKER_03Like it's Walmart's like a smaller version of Costco.
unknownYeah.
SPEAKER_03Like Costco, you can buy things in bulk, but I mean you can find anything in Costco. But then at Walmart, you buy things, you know, individually, but you can find anything in fucking Walmart.
SPEAKER_02Mr. Costco, I would like 10 TVs, please. Yeah. Just give me the palette, dude. Pallet of fucking televisions, please. So that's what we do every two years. So that's why I'm like, that's why I'm like being so disconnected from like uh from from where like different phone companies are. Because it's usually just at Walmart, it's like Rogers or MTS.
SPEAKER_03Oh, they also have chatter. They have chatter at Walmart. I know what they're talking about.
SPEAKER_02Okay, dude. I don't know why you know about all these low budget phone companies, you fucking you bottom feeder. I'm a poor person. I'm surprised you're not standing outside the McLaren. Like come hang out. Also, after working there today, we'll doing a little backtrack, I feel so much desensitivity to that type of people already. Yeah that like even like I'll get like I'll get like mom, can you come pick me up at like five? Because I'm like, I don't really don't want to bust home. And she's like, Yeah, sure. And then she'll pull up and she's like, I was gonna have a cigarette, but then I've seen three people kind of doing their thing, and I said, Okay, like it's fine. At that point, at this point, I'm like, I don't care. These people, like I've I go outside to vape, I put the fucking two by four over the thing. People just don't talk to you, they just leave you alone. And it's like, I don't know, I haven't had problems. One guy today, there was one problem today. This guy comes up and he came in with a bunch of shit. They came with a bunch of shit and he sat down and he wasn't gambling, he wasn't doing anything, and he came up and he said, Hey man, can I use a washroom? I said, You gotta buy something. He said, I just fucking sat down, bro. Can you give me a minute? I said he said, I'm gonna I'm gonna gamble. I said, Okay, you don't gotta be rude. He said, You're being rude. And he grabbed the key and he's like, Can I use the washroom? And I went like this. I shooed him away with my hands. I said, Go. Go. Get out of my face, you fucking degenerate.
SPEAKER_03Okay, well, you fucking like I'm I understand the whole like getting desensitized thing because I work like literally like just down the street from you, brother. Yeah, yeah, yeah. I work just down the street.
SPEAKER_02I'm in the shit, brother. Yeah, I know you're you're you're in the shit.
SPEAKER_03They fucking you're there. I'm in the poopy.
SPEAKER_02There's there's the yesterday, oh so yesterday when I was training, we went over to across the street. So right across the street, there's like the main main street convenience store. Really tiny one. I don't know how much you buy smokes for, but they sell like Canadian classics there. Yeah. Not the obviously good ones or like res smoke Canadian classics.
SPEAKER_03The fucking the contraband ones.
SPEAKER_02Six bucks.
SPEAKER_03Yeah. Is that a little store just called the convenience store, right?
SPEAKER_02Yeah, main street convenience store. It's like a black, it looks like the joint writing almost black and yellow.
SPEAKER_03Right at the end of the Israeli bridge. It's like right fucking like we're at the turnoff.
SPEAKER_02It's like right across the street from the Manitoba Museum. Like it's it's it's across the street from me.
SPEAKER_03I know exactly I know exactly what place talking about.
SPEAKER_02Anyway, so we went there yesterday, and as we're walking out, actually, as we're walking in too, I seen them, there was a group of three people, and one person was under a tarp standing up, and another person was under the tarp, obviously assisting them with their drug use. Yep, yeah, to break from the wind. I said, smart, to be honest, very smart, and you're hotboxing that bitch. You ever hotbox meth? They're getting higher. Yeah, dude. Hotboxing meth sounds like a recipe for destruction.
SPEAKER_03Sounds like a really good time.
SPEAKER_02So we we we go in, we go inside to buy the cigarettes, and we come outside, and as we're coming out, the police have pulled over and are now arresting these people. Why? They're just vibing, they're vibing. Doing drugs in public, Sean.
SPEAKER_03They're vibing, little vibe, little vibe, I say. Yeah, uh yeah, I don't know. Yeah. Boosters. So like I never heard the term booster, boost boosters before.
SPEAKER_02Explain that to me. It's just people who go into grocery stores or go into stores and they steal as much shit as they can, and then they leave, and then they try and resell that shit for a discounted price so they could just get a hit of their drugs, essentially.
SPEAKER_03Oh shit, so you're gonna come out of the McLaren hotel from working there with a whole new personality. You're gonna like know all the lingo, all the street lingo.
SPEAKER_02Yeah, dude, dude. I'm I'm I'm my I got my ear to the streets, brother. I'm a fucking I'm I'm I know I know all the I know all the upcoming rappers through the McLaren, dude. There's this one guy, no arms. Guy can freestyle, brother. No. I was like, No, I made it up.
SPEAKER_03It sounds so weird.
SPEAKER_02I made it up.
SPEAKER_03That sounded so believable.
SPEAKER_02No, this guy came in today though, and he's a he's a black dude, black dude, uh bald head, and in like in like a like a like a dress shirt and a blazer and like cargo pants, and then like new balance. And I was like, this outfit is fucked up. This outfit is what the fuck are you doing, man? This outfit is crazy. And he comes up and he like whatever.
SPEAKER_03There's no sequence to his outfit.
SPEAKER_02I was like, dude, you're you're you're you look like you're dressed up for a zoom call. Like nobody's gonna see your legs. Like, dude, it's weird. Anyway, so he comes up, he buys two shots of Southern Comfort of Cocony, and then he goes and sits down. And this guy is a regular there. He knows all the people. Some sketchy ass motherfuckers come in and he's like, What's up, homie? And this guy is like, he looks he looks clean. He looks clean. Also, only seen two white people in the whole day. One guy was like Russian or something. He was like, Hello, can I get like can I get some vibes? I said, sure. I don't know. I did a Mexican accent. Um Punjabi. Yeah, whatever, dude. That wasn't anywhere near Russian. Any they're all the same to me. Um anybody that's not from here, they're all the same. Uh anyway, so this black guy's sitting there, and this booster chick comes in and she walks up, like she walks up, she doesn't even get very far into the bar. She walks up just a little bit past the VLTs and she says, Do you want to buy some cheese? I said, No. And she walked, she turned around and left.
SPEAKER_03Where is she holding the cheese?
SPEAKER_02In a bag. She's got it in a bag. And then, like, she uh so she comes back in and she walks a little bit further up, and this guy, his name is Earl. I got his name, the black guy, pulls her over and he's like, What do you got? She's like, I got some cheese. And he said, Alright, I'll give you five dollars. And she said, Okay. So he takes the cheese and gives her five dollars, and now he's just sitting in the bar with a brick of cheese. And I'm like, You gotta get out of here, bro. You gotta put that in the fridge. Yeah, this needs to be refed. This needs to be refrigerated, Earl. And saying she's walking around, you know how fucking hot it was? Yeah, I think she, I think she actually, to her, to her um benefit, she had one of those like cooler bags. Oh, okay. So it was insulated. But the lady yesterday that came in the booster yesterday that had raw chicken breast and raw steak just had no reusable bag.
SPEAKER_03Okay, I doubt I would not trust that chicken then.
SPEAKER_02I it might have been out forever, but I still might have bought it if I had 15 bucks. Yeah, I mean, like if I was working today and I had $60 in tips, I would have been like, yeah, dude, that's buying all this shit from all the boosters. Food for my family, dude. Chicken breasts is expensive.
SPEAKER_03So it's like, you know, like they're helping out people, you know, by giving them like you know, cheaper products. And they're also they're in help, they're they're like a twisted Robin Hood.
SPEAKER_02Dude, they're no they're a twisted entrepreneur, they're not a Robin Hood. It's not for, it's not for fucking, it's not for good reasons. It's not a block and cheese or five bucks. It's not a kind of expensive these days. It's because she wants to fucking get high, dude. These motherfuckers want to get high. And like there's a lady that came in today and she's like, Are they still looking for bartenders? I said, Well, I just started yesterday, so I don't know, man. You gotta ask the manager. And she's like, pretty crazy out there, hey? I said, Where? She said, Out front. I said, I don't go out there. She said, How do you get in the building? I said, they don't start up until a bit later. Like the they start gathering a bit later, and brother, uh yeah, I don't know. Like I said, I'm already desensitized to it. I'm like, whatever, dude. I'll kick everybody out, I'll stop serving you. Uh don't give a fuck. Get out of the bar, leave me alone. But literally, when it's not busy there, I sit at the bar and there's a chair. So you're supposed to sit at this one chair because it's a direct line of sight to the vendor. Because I'm working in the bar alone. Yeah. There's no security, there's no nothing. It's just me in the bar bartending.
SPEAKER_03They don't have security there at all.
SPEAKER_02Nothing.
SPEAKER_03They have nothing. It is clarity hotel should definitely be one of those places that has fucking security.
SPEAKER_02No security, no nothing. It is me working in the bar behind the bar by myself and just a bunch of fucking crazy people. Everybody's missing teeth. Um, and and then so I got a clear line of sight to the vendor guy, just in case anything goes wrong, then I could be like, yo, yo, yo, yo, yo, I need your help. But um, yeah, it's just it's literally just me, and then like like I'll go inside, I'll go inside the vape, we'll put the two by four down, I'll take you gotta take the keys from the till so that they can't just open it and steal the money. And then yeah, I'd just be walking around that bitch, and like every time I'm walking around, like last night I was up late thinking, and I was like, what if I'm just walking around collecting beers one day and somebody stabs me with an AIDS needle? I said my mind gets so twisted. I was like, dude, if they stab me with an AIDS needle, I'd burn down the whole building and go to prison forever. They'd be like, Why are you in jail? I'd be like, I killed 150 people. I got AIDS, dude. I'm gonna die anyway. I have AIDS. Yeah, I don't know. It's just uh it's a it's honestly the craziest place I've ever worked in my life, and it's probably unsafe. And Erica hugged me yesterday and she said, It's okay if you don't want to work there. We can we'll be fine for now. And I said, We will be, but I need a job. Sean Sean released all his aggression on me last week, not aggression, but he was like, You need to get a job. And then after you were done, you were like, Oh, that felt so good. And I was like, You gotta stop holding that shit in. After you said that to me, I was like, Okay, I do need to get a job. So I was like, I'll just take this fucking job. And I'm gonna work the job. I only get paid minimum wage, but I'm working 43 hours next week. I'm gonna start stacking up cash, and I get paid. Oh, great thing about this job? Yes, paid every week. You're paid weekly, not bi-weekly? Get paid every Friday. Motherfucker, dude. Yeah. So tips every day that I work, and then I get paid every Friday.
SPEAKER_03Shit, man. Fucking you're gonna be like, okay, well, I know it's the McLaren Hotel, and it's very sketchy, it's very sceny atmosphere. You're still raking in bank.
SPEAKER_02Yeah, I mean, I'm minimum wage, like I'm stuck I only got I got 43 hours next week. I got 32 hours this week, 43 hours next week, and then like it starts to dwindle down. I guess they fired two people, and then some chicks on vacation. So I'm like 32, 43, 32, 28, 28, and then I'm less hours because I'm working the Grey Outdoors Comedy Fest.
SPEAKER_03Look, look at that, man. A girl who works there is on vacation. She worked there and can afford to go on vacation.
SPEAKER_02Yeah, I don't think it's because of the the woodbine. I think it's just because I'm I think I if I had to guess Sean, bet you it's more of a staycation. Bet you she's not in Mexico or anything. I bet you she's in her apartment in the woodbine. Probably. Yeah, I don't know, man. Literally everybody there. I'm like, hey, where are you? Where do you live here too? And they're like, yep. I'm like, fucking crazy. I'm like the only guy that works there that doesn't live there. Really? Yeah, like every every single other person that I've talked to, I'm like, do you live here? They're like, yeah. And I'm like, crazy. $550 a month. $550 a month to live there? Yeah. You get it, you get a room, you get a mattress, you get cable for free, electricity for free, everything's for free, you just pay $550. But apparently the rooms are pretty trash, like the beds are bad and shit. One of the guys that was in there this morning, Gary, the guy with the bad back that I was serving drinks to, he uh I was like, How'd you get a bad? What happened to your back? He's like, I started sleeping in the bed upstairs. So, are you serious? He said, So, yeah, the bed upstairs fucked me up, and then they gave me another one, it fucked me up even more. I'm like, Can't you just buy your own bed, Gary? Like, he's got a bad back.
SPEAKER_03I thought there was gonna be like some wicked story behind his back. He's just sleeping on the fucking beds at McLaren Hotel.
SPEAKER_02I said, uh oh, to be honest, it blew my mind. I was like, the bed did this to you? This motherfucker's walking like he broke his shit, dude. He's walking like he broke his shit. Holy fuck, man. It's like the craziest job ever, and by next week, I guarantee you I'll have 27 more stories.
SPEAKER_03Fucking I bet. I'm like, I have a story if I can like it's not it's a short one. Like, we had like some girl like came in the other day, and like she was like tweaking, she's tweaking the fuck out, and like she was like, Oh, I can't breathe. I'm having trouble breathing.
SPEAKER_00She OD'd.
SPEAKER_03Damn. We had to call a fucking ambulance for her and shit. She was fucking ODing at the bar top, and we had a fucking like yeah, paramedics came in there and everything. You know what I would have done? What?
SPEAKER_02You can't be in here, go outside.
SPEAKER_03Hey, you gotta buy something or get out, bitch. Well, like legally, if somebody comes into your establishment and like they're fucking like literally dying, you're liable for that shit. Legally, you're liable.
SPEAKER_02Never seen them.
SPEAKER_03Yeah, yeah, though.
SPEAKER_02That's crazy. It's kind of crazy, yeah. I've never seen someone OD. I bet you I will, though, in a couple months time.
SPEAKER_03You probably will. You'll be walking outside fucking tripping over OD'd bodies, though.
SPEAKER_02Yep.
SPEAKER_03They shoot up like right across the street at the fucking MMF building. Yeah, yeah, yeah.
SPEAKER_02Well, it's a safe s it's a safe uh injection site, I'm pretty sure. MMF building? Safe and safe, yeah. There's one like right around there. It's like uh, you know those like big stackable like uh like uh shipping containers? Yeah, I'm pretty sure that's a safe safe injection site. We can we they have them already read it readily available in Winnipeg? I think so, yeah. I think it's just like because the drug addicts are gonna be drug addicts, so you don't want drug addicts sharing needles or doing anything dirty like that. Yeah. So I think they created this to like mitigate needles on the ground and mitigate all like the drug litter so that it's contained in one area where you can go here and you could do drugs and it's okay. Yeah. I think that's what it is. Okay.
SPEAKER_03But I could be wrong. I I do kind of agree with it though. Like they're like it's I feel like at the same time, it's like enabling, you know what I mean? But also at the same time, it's like, yeah, fuck, I don't want to fucking like step on a fucking needle. Yeah, have safe injection sites, and yeah, stalk the fucking the spread of like AIDS and other like STDs, yes. I mean it's a good idea, but then also at the same time I feel like it's problematic.
SPEAKER_02Yeah. I mean, but at a certain point, like people are gonna do drugs, they're addicted to drugs, they're gonna do them all over your streets. So would you rather them do them in the streets where people can see them and it's gonna be shitty? Or would you rather them do them in this safe enclosed area where they're gonna get safe needles, they're not gonna spread any germs, and then they could just go fenty fold wherever they want.
SPEAKER_03And then cokeheads have uh fucking bathroom stalls and fucking metheads get a whole goddamn shipping container. That's not fair.
SPEAKER_02I mean, I don't think I don't think I'd want to go to the shipping container to do coke. Like me, me and you hanging out downtown. I'm like, yo, bro, we gotta go bust some rails. Let's go to the safe injection site. Wait, are we injecting the cocaine? No, just for the vibe. Just for the vibe. You get in there, there's not even any toilets you can do coke off of. You're like, what the fuck? Yeah, they have like a baby changing table, but it's just for doing cocaine. Camera rails. Let's go. It's like, dude, we gotta get bricked up first. Yeah, yeah. Yo, yo, first we gotta smoke mess so we can get our dicks hard, and then we gotta snort Coke off each other's cocks.
SPEAKER_00That's a vibe. All right, now let's go back to the Palomino.
SPEAKER_02Fucking bricked up. Fucking all real, though. Yeah, dude. Man, that might be a good Monday night booty shape.
SPEAKER_03Oh, man, that's fucking hilarious. That's a bit. That's a bit. Yeah, it's pretty good.
SPEAKER_02Um, yeah, I don't know. It's like that's really all I got for now. I'm sure there's gonna be a ton more. Like, I've just been literally, I've been, I haven't, I'm uh not smoking weed there at any time yet, and like I'm just trying to go there and like do a do a fine job. Yeah. Because then like I already see how the environment is there, and everybody hates each other, so I just don't want to be the new guy that everybody's like fuck this new guy. So I'm just going there, I'm being nice to everybody, and I'm getting like, like I said, dude, I made $60 on tips today and it was my first day. Yeah. It's also that's the thing, it's also the end of the month. So everybody's welfare checks are coming in, and all the people's like social assistance checks are coming in. So that's why they're very heavy tipping, I'm guessing. That's right. That's why they're spending a lot.
SPEAKER_03Yeah.
SPEAKER_02I can imagine me working there, like, like I said, when it's downtime, if there's nothing to do, like I'm not gonna run around and clean tables that people aren't at. Yeah. I sit there at the bar and I just sit on my phone.
SPEAKER_03Well, again, like one thing that I learned from like being downtown, like especially when I used to like live down there, as long as you like, as long as you like act like you belong and like that you're not like scared. You just like walk around, it's a normal day, no one's gonna bother you. Yeah, yeah. And like most most of the time, like even though they even though they do look sketchy, these like these fucking like methods, whatever the fuck they're doing you walking by them, they don't bother you. No, most of the time they stick to themselves.
SPEAKER_02Yeah, they're they're doing their drugs and they're fine on their own. Like they're always trying to fuck with people. I'm sure there is the random one that's all fucked up trying to fuck with people. You know what my experience has been so far? People going, Wow, is that your real hair? Mostly it, wow, your hair is so long.
SPEAKER_03I said, sure it is. Okay, like I was smoking at Commonwealth. I was smoking in the fucking in the back alley because. Smoking pit is in the in a literally a back alley behind a fucking dumpster. And it could see the parking lot right there. And there's some guy just chilling there, shadow boxing, shadow boxing all the shadow people. Pretty good. And I'm fucking washing him. I'm smoking my cigarette. And I'm like, that's a vibe. He was just, you know, vibing by himself, but shadow boxing. Isn't they doing kung fu moves and shit? Like fucking like fucking flying kicks and like jumping snap kicks and shit, all fucked up in the parking lot. I have no idea, man, but he was a vibe. I was like, man, somebody fucking put this guy on the contract right now. He's madass.
SPEAKER_02Get him on street beefs, dude. Let's go. Would you like to jump into Dragon Talk? Yes. Okay, now let's jump into Dragon Talk. Alright, fucking, do you want to take it away first or do you want me to take it away first? Uh take it away, whatever you want, dude. This episode sucked dick. I don't know how it got that high of a rating on IMDb. What the fuck? You really did it? Name me, name me, okay, okay. You think this episode was so good and everybody's like, oh, this show's fucking amazing. Okay, so what happened? Nothing incredibly uh epic happened in this show. There was no battles. There was no nothing like that. What was a battle? What was a battle? What was a battle? Damon doing a little that's it?
SPEAKER_03Eamon goes to Heron Hall, fucking kills everybody at Heron Hall. Oh, he kills six people. And then fucking like, what else? Fucking like, dude, you kill Otis Hightower. Fucking fuck that guy. Fuck Otis. Otto? Oh yeah, Otis Otto, yeah, whatever. Yeah. Okay.
SPEAKER_02Yeah, uh, again, again, K. This if this episode is so good.
SPEAKER_03Also give Emma to Arcy the goddamn Emmy already. Fucking like fucking come on, man. It was pretty good. That was pretty good. Oh, yeah, it was alright.
SPEAKER_02It was a good it was a good performance. But again, name like K. Game of Thrones is so well known. Like the universe is so well known for having quotable, insanely good lines. Name me one fucking quote from this episode that even stands out to you. There's like uh if you're gonna be like, oh what?
SPEAKER_03I got one. What?
SPEAKER_02Jeez!
SPEAKER_03You keep talking, I'll cut off your cock first before I cut your head off. I mean it's a good one.
SPEAKER_02I mean, I guess. It's a good one. I mean, I guess. It's not fucking, it's not, it's not chaos is a ladder, dude. Yeah, it's not that. I don't know, man. I watched it and I was like, I was like, yeah, I mean, it's alright. Again, like I'm I'm not gonna I'm not gonna lie. I'm not super high on this show anymore. It's fine. They kill, she kills, so she kills Otto at the end, and then it's like, oh, now fucking, now Alicent is like, now I'm back hating you, bitch, and now there's gonna be the real war. I don't know. Whatever, dude.
SPEAKER_03I really liked the episode. I think the season's off to a very good start. I think it's finally going like where I really wanted season two to go. Yeah, yeah, yeah. I mean, yeah, I mean it's it's finally picking up, and I was like, thank god. Yeah, I'm enjoying it. It was alright.
SPEAKER_02I watched it last night and I was like, Alright. Alright. I like I like when I like when Damon slapped the fuck out of Ulf.
SPEAKER_03Yep. That was awesome. I think uh I like that. I think they're gonna fucking like uh switch up some things. Because like in the story, it's Hugh the Hammer that betrays um the blacks. But I think because of Wolf's mistreatment, oh you think it'll be him? Yeah, probably him uh betraying them.
SPEAKER_02He is like the the slimier individual as well. Whereas Hugh Hammer in the show seems like a solid motherfucker. Yeah, it seems like a solid motherfucker, yeah. I also okay, hold on. I mean, I did like the scene where the dragons were flying over King's Landing, and then it showed Hugh's wife looking up, and then like Ulf's like little fuck, little fuck pig looking up. Yeah, I was like, that's pretty cool. That was pretty cool. Also, it's crazy that Hugh Hammer's like, Well, I kind of forgot about my wife after my daughter died. He's like, nah, I ain't even gonna come see you, bitch.
SPEAKER_03And also the opening shot was fucking awesome too. It shows like fucking like underwater. Yeah, it shows like Baylor's dragon, fucking like, come on, man, that shit was dope. The cinematography in this episode was amazing.
SPEAKER_02Okay, I I can't fight you on that. I just uh the for story progression, it was like, okay, so she got to King's Landing, and then everybody was just like, Yeah, come on in. And then there was a little bit of a rebellion, which Damon kind of quelled with his master swordsmanship. Okay, I did like the the direct quote from the book where uh Corless Valerian is like, if this is what victory looks like, I hope to never see another one. Yeah.
SPEAKER_03As he's watching fucking like his like uh what was it called again? Oh, it's all on fire. Yeah, high tide. Yeah, he's watching high tide off.
SPEAKER_02Everything's burnt, and then he's like, he looks to Alan and he's like, the only thing I can offer you now is my name. And Alan's like a little fucking softy homo. He's like, it means more to me than the mountain of gold.
SPEAKER_03Those are great quotes, man. That's a great quote.
SPEAKER_02I mean, uh it's funny how I'm like, I'm like, I'm like, dude, this movie didn't have any good quotes. Dude, it's like dude quoting the whole episode. I'm like, yo, I thought it was sick when he said this. Okay, I guess uh maybe I'm wrong, but I I don't know. Maybe it's just the distaste that season two left in my mouth. I think that's where it is. It's hard to wash it out with it being like, oh, it's just good again. Because at this point, um you know what it is? You know what it is? It's like it's like when you get in, it's like when you're in a bad relationship and you get into a fight with your girl and you're like, oh, everything's all good, but then you're like, you're just waiting for the next time because you're like, I know it's coming again. Because this is bad, because we're in a bad relationship. I feel like that's how I feel about the show. I've been there twice, my brother. It's like yeah, it's like it's good, it's good, but now I'm just waiting for it to inevitably get bad again.
SPEAKER_03Like, I I hope it doesn't. I really hope that they learned their lesson from season two. And it looks like so far with these first two episodes that they have learned their lesson, they picked it up. Because season one was so good. Season two. Yeah, season one was very good. Sucked. Season two fucking sucked, but so far this fucking season has been great.
SPEAKER_02Yeah, it's been good.
SPEAKER_03So we're only two episodes in, I cannot rate it yet.
SPEAKER_02Well, you know what? You know what? It's from after me quoting the whole fucking episode to you, it's it's it's not not as bad. Also, another part of the episode that I actually really did like was uh also straight from the book was Damon coming back into King's Landing and all the gold gold cloaks coming and being like, no, he was our king or he was our knight's commander. Like he's our leader. Yeah, and they were like, he the one guy was like, he's the one who put the gold cloak on me 20 years ago.
SPEAKER_03And I was like, Alright, that's pretty cool. I mean it's like it's like straight from the trailer, but like also I really like it when uh when uh Grenier's like, bring Aegon, the usurper, to me.
SPEAKER_02Yeah, yeah. And it's like, yeah. But also it's like it's like uh that that's the thing, okay. Well, let's talk about let's talk about theory then for the show. Because then it's like she's like she's like crying, taking off Otto's head, and Damon's like, this will make you queen. Yeah. And it's like, do you think that performance that she put on made her queen? Because she kid she kills him while crying and then ascends the iron throne while crying. It's like that's a weak leader. Well, that's a leader that does that, as Ned Stark would say, the one who levies the crime swings the sword or something like that.
SPEAKER_03Yeah, something like that. Well, like um, I don't want to spoil it, but yeah, like in the in the story, um a lot of people Hey, guess what? It's a book that's been written. Just talk about it. A lot of a lot of people in King's Landing, like a lot of people, don't accept Renira. Yeah, okay. And like uh and then also like uh because they were basically brainwashed, I believe that Aegon is the prince that has promised, fucking whatever. And then um they don't think that she's fit to rule. And then there's a lot of Which woman would? Yeah.
SPEAKER_02Disgusting.
SPEAKER_03Yeah, there's a lot of like uh some some game of throne shit's gonna happen. There's like fucking like cahoodling in the background. I like a cahoodle. People are gonna be betraying each other left and right. I like a betrayal. It's bound it's bound to happen. All because Rhenira has now taken the throne. Yeah.
SPEAKER_02Well, I mean, and like that's the thing. The episode ends with her on the throne, and then it's like the inevitable question is like, I haven't read the book, so it's like, how long is this gonna last? And I bet you not long. It doesn't last very long. Also, though, I also really liked how you know what's crazy how you're like, yo, Eamon's fucking badass scene with Vagar. The most badass part of that scene was Vagar. Yeah. Because Eamon comes into the room and immediately gets stabbed in the back by some little bitch, and then he falls on the ground dying. And I'm like, help me. Yeah, I'm like, come on, dude, you suck.
SPEAKER_03Well, dude, he was badass like up until that moment. He was fucking taking names. I mean, trained by Kristen Cole, dude. Yep. Fucking that we finally got to see this just how good Eamon is with the sword. Yeah, and then what is it? I'm like, I'm digging this, I'm digging this.
SPEAKER_02And then moments later he gets stabbed in the back by some little bitch and like he gets stabbed in the back, and then I was like, damn, did he just take that knife? And then two seconds later, he's like, Oh, and I'm like, oh yeah, he didn't take that knife. And then in the book I read that like he has a kid with Alice, like the like bangs are out. Yeah.
unknownNice.
SPEAKER_02Yeah, nice. She's gross, though.
SPEAKER_03She is gross, she's not very good looking. Weird face, weird face.
SPEAKER_02She's got like forehead, she's got like one of those faces, like she looks like a troglodyte. She looks like a fucking uh not a not a homo sapien, but a fucking Neanderthal, bro. She got big forehead. She's got one of those faces that you like that looks very slappable.
SPEAKER_03It's like I would slap, I would slap this bitch.
SPEAKER_02Give her a little mushroom slap, a little mushroom tattoo. Give her a snail trail across her face. Why do you have a snail trail? Do you have a vagina? The precum. Oh. I've only heard a snail trail when it's referred to women's vaginas.
SPEAKER_03I heard a snail trail from a good friend of ours called Garrett. He's the one that uh Garrett He's the one that uh coined the phrase He's the one that has a pussy.
SPEAKER_02He's got a pussy. He's the one that's got a vagina.
SPEAKER_03Yup.
SPEAKER_02Good to know, man.
SPEAKER_03Shout out Garrett with the pussy. Also, like uh fucking goddamn, what's her fucking name there? Raina. Fuck Raina, dude. So she goes back to the veil.
SPEAKER_02Oh, yeah, yeah. Hide me. Yeah, she's like, she's like, dude, I gotta be hidden. Yeah. And sheep stealers just in the background, like, what's up, bro? He's like flexing. RF, bro. Yeah.
SPEAKER_03And then that bitch at the veil is like, yeah, no, we don't want any part of you being here. Yeah, fuck out of you.
SPEAKER_02And then she was like, What if I help, what if I use my dragon to fuck your enemies up? And she was like, just go somewhere in the veil. It's fine. Well, you're gonna fuck my enemies up. You tried to fuck up the enemies up last episode.
SPEAKER_03What did you do? He did nothing. You fucking made matters worse.
SPEAKER_02She did fuck up some enemies and some good guys. And they still won the battle of the gulli. That's the thing. You know what's funny? I don't know why I'm calling them good guys.
SPEAKER_03Who's to say who's the good guy in this war? That's that's that's the ultimate question. Who's good, who's bad? Because it's just two sides like standing up for what they believe. It's just war, right? It's just war.
SPEAKER_02And at the end, at the end of the day, war is casualties. And guess what? Reneira has suffered some motherfucking casualties. I don't think any of Allison's kids have died yet. Her grandchild has died. Oh, yeah, true. Helena's Helena's son. Yeah, but he was a baby, so it doesn't count. Yeah, he didn't even have a life. Babies are barely alive, dude.
SPEAKER_03There's like little aliens.
SPEAKER_02If if your child dies between the age of zero and two, don't even make a headstone.
SPEAKER_03Also, her dad just got beheaded in the in the fucking in this episode too. Her dad just died. Yeah. Yeah, it's crazy how she slash slashed him right in the back of the shoulders.
SPEAKER_02I was like, Jesus Christ, that's gnarly.
SPEAKER_03Fucking in the app, fucking. Well, you even tell us even like Loris's neck, like fucking to give her, like, you know.
SPEAKER_02Yeah, it's uh it's it's the emotion, dude. She's a woman. No. That's the thing. Women can't lead because there's too many emotions involved. We need a clear thinking logical male.
SPEAKER_03Fucking like D man, like you know, like Damon could have been a great king. I feel like you think so? I think so. I don't know, man. I think he's too he's got the respect of like fucking like the entire military respects him.
SPEAKER_02You know what? I actually agree, but I think he would not be a just king. Yeah, I think he would be a little bit unjust and just be like beheading, beheading, beheading. He's too hot-headed. He's a little bit too aggressive.
SPEAKER_03Yeah, yeah, he's a little hot-headed for sure. Yeah, yeah. That's why I fucking like him and Eamon are pretty much like a lot in that way. They're both fucking hot-headed individuals. Yeah. Even though Eamon is fucking legitimately an insane person.
SPEAKER_02I think it's like, I think it's like ever since Eamund has has uh donned the power of Vagar, he has seen himself as invincible. Yeah. Which I think in this last episode, it's gonna maybe hopefully they'll maybe show like a character arc where he feels mortality, yeah, and then maybe he's a little bit more scared to die and he's less fearless, but I don't know, man. At this point, it's been like Eamon is a fearless force of nature because he is riding Vagar, the biggest dragon in the realm.
SPEAKER_03Yeah. Well, he's also well, he is afraid of Damon. He is 100% afraid of Damon.
SPEAKER_02I don't remember any interactions with them two. Well, like Was it just at like like in the what was it, season one? Season one when he cuts that dude's fucking head. Where they had like the big dinner with everybody, yeah, and like Eamon's already older. Was Damon there?
SPEAKER_03Yeah, Damon was there.
SPEAKER_02I don't remember that one.
SPEAKER_03Yeah, I know, and well, Damon kills that guy right in front of him. Like, uh, you know, like you can keep your tongue and you fucking cut that fucking dude's head. I don't remember that. No? Well, fucking Eamon gives him a look of like, you know, like he's like, oh yeah, this guy's fucking this guy stands on business.
SPEAKER_02Yeah, I mean, uh, to be honest, who wouldn't be afraid of Damon? Damon's like a day the that's the thing. Uh you know what I also kind of like a little bit, but also dislike? What? Why do all the dragons look exactly the same, but Karaxes is like a fucking, like a like a skinny little dildo dick? Like all the dragons look like classic dragons, and then Karaxes is like the thinnest little snake dragon. That's a good question. I don't even know. Like, fucking where did like it's a cool looking dragon, but I'm like, why does it look so different? Like, what I you know what I would like to know, and you know what's probably so boring? Yeah, I want to know the biology of dragons.
SPEAKER_03Well, I fucking you know what's you know what's fucking actually pretty cool? I'm pretty sure who I got Daenerys' dragons, I'm pretty sure our moon our our moondancer is the mother of those dragons. Essentially, Moondancer is the one that lays those eggs. That's why Moondancer kind of like looks like those other dragons. Gotcha. Yeah.
SPEAKER_02Wait, hold on. Which one's Moondancer?
SPEAKER_03The one that Baylor rides. Uh okay.
SPEAKER_02Yeah. I'm pretty sure. Fuck I'm gonna Google that. I have no idea. All I remember is like I was watching the episode last night, and uh Rhenira gets off her dragon and then it starts making like a weird clicking sound that I've never heard any dragon make before. Oh. And I'm like, can they communicate with them through clicks? Is that their version of them speaking old Valerian?
unknownI think so.
SPEAKER_02It's pretty I don't know. I was watching it and I was like, that's pretty interesting. It's like literally the dragon, like Renera lands, she starts walking down, and the dragon's like on the perch on the castle and starts like clicking at her, and she looks back at the dragon as if like in recognition of what he said.
SPEAKER_03Okay, so like uh Magister Irelio Mobitis, whatever the fuck his name is, gave her the eggs. Yeah, but I wanna fucking find out like who like which dragon though. Which dragon? Which dragon laid them fucker? Which dragon laid them? I'm gonna say fucking um I'm pretty sure it is Moondancer. Fucking fucking poop eater the dragon. Fucking Oh, fucking, okay. In the show, it's C-Rax that laid the eggs. Oh, that's C-Rax's uh Rhineer's dragon as she rides. Now in the book in the bookin' it just says that they were stolen.
SPEAKER_02In the book, it's fucking noob cybot who lays the dragon, bro. It's fucking Cyrax.
SPEAKER_03Oh, it's dream it's Dreamfire. It's Dreamfire. I think that's yeah, Helena's Dragon's uh Helena's Dragon, Dreamfire is the one that laid the eggs. Yeah, in the book. But in the in the show, it's C-Rex. Interesting. So there's some changes in there. Interesting.
SPEAKER_02I wonder what even the benefit of changing that is. It honestly makes no impact to me on the show at all. Like it makes no impact on me. What difference is it? Uh it's what it's funny why change such a small detail like that.
SPEAKER_03Yeah, I think it's because like the whole like Song of Ice and Fire thing. Because like uh because like a Daenerys is a descendant of Rhenira.
SPEAKER_02But she's technically a di like of of just from Rhenira? Well, like uh Or from Viserys and from Targaryens. Yeah, yeah, because that's the thing though, and you could have just done the same thing with fucking Elena. She's a Targaryen too.
SPEAKER_03That's true, yeah. She's also Viserys' daughter as well.
SPEAKER_02Yeah, exactly. Like it's the same shit. Yeah. Uh yeah, I don't know. It's funny. It's funny the small changes they make to shows like that, and you're like, what is the like that that one specifically is so weirdly small that it's like there's really no point in changing it.
SPEAKER_03And also, like, C-Rax doesn't like bear any resemblance at all to Daenerys' dragons.
SPEAKER_02When the fuck do they say that? They must actually physically because hold on, isn't didn't they send away three dragon three dragon eggs in the show? Yeah, in in the f in the first season. Yeah, and I think I think they said something like they said something that like at first they said those are not Renier's dragons, and then they had to co-opt it and be like, never mind, those are Rhaenyra's dragons. And then it's like, so like I guess they must have definitely had some kind of exposition or dialogue in the show where they were like where Rhaenier was like, oh, Cyrax has given birth to three eggs. It must have been like some small moment that we all miss. Like, what the I guess, I guess I understand why they did it to weave it into Game of Thrones, and I understand why they did it with actually, you know what? I'm at I was asking why they did it. I think I understand now. It's because Helena is such a side character in the show, yeah, that forcing that line of dialogue in that oh, she had three dragon eggs, yeah. Also, how would they be protected if they're with the greens? Yeah. So it doesn't really make sense thematically for the show or or chronologically. Yeah. So they're like, oh, we gotta put her with Reneera, give it to Cyrax, then she just ships off the eggs to isn't it? Don't doesn't ship ship them off to like Essos or something, like across the sea and ships. So I guess I understand that now, but it's like, yeah, I don't um I maybe in the maybe in the book, though you can correct me here. Maybe in the book, Helena is like a more prominent character.
SPEAKER_03Like, does she like more of a fucking battle maiden? Her and Dreamfire fuck shit up. Damn. Yeah, fucking like uh because like Sunfire is completely like immobilized. Sunfire can't fuck a fly. Sunfire is Sunfire, I'm pretty sure, is the father of Daenerys' Dragon.
SPEAKER_02Yeah, that's Aegon's Dragon, right?
SPEAKER_03Yeah, it's Aegon's Dragon, yeah. Can't fly anywhere because of the Battle of Rook's Nest. Can't fly no more. Yeah. And um he's like confined in the dragon pit, all fucking depressed. So fucking yeah, Sunfire is still there in the dragon pit right now. He's there.
SPEAKER_02Yeah, yeah. Well, yeah, who knows if he's fucking there because this show's gonna be like, ah, yeah. Um anyway, how do you feel about uh Aegon's whole whole arc at this point? Because what what was it in this episode? They kind of got caught, they got so they got caught in the last episode, and now they got stopped by the triarchy uh murdering all of uh Rhenira's men. Yeah, and then they're like, okay, we're gonna take off into the bushes. Yeah.
SPEAKER_03And I'm like, he's got we've got to go to Rook's Nest.
SPEAKER_02Yeah. How are you gonna run from these people, Aegon?
SPEAKER_03Yeah, I don't I don't I don't understand either, because like he's a gimp, and he's also with another cripple.
SPEAKER_02A cripple, dude. He's with the cripple, and it's like, run away. I I do like You got two cripples wandering around the goddamn forest together, and they're gonna make it what that's uh you know what that's the most illogical thing in this whole show. Fuck the dragons. The dragons are logical at this point. Two cripples running around Game of Thrones forest, you're dead. These direwolves fucking deadwolves are still alive at this point. You're dead. I guess they're not in the north, whatever. Um, because dire wolves are thinking of the north, right?
SPEAKER_03Um pretty sure there's like lions.
SPEAKER_02The Lannisters have lions. So crazy that I've never shown a lion once in the show.
SPEAKER_03They showed a beheaded lion, they did, but like that's it. Yeah, that's it. Give me a fucking CGI lion. Yeah, fucking like we all know that the Lannisters have lions. You've never seen a fucking single lion ever, even in Game of Thrones or in this show yet.
SPEAKER_02Crazy how we've never done that. They've also never really shown much of the Lannisters at um what's their like home home base? Um, uh oh no, it's the city of gold. Yeah. Oh god damn, what's a call again? But they like really never show that in Game of Thrones. No, they don't. They don't really do like that's the thing. Why don't we get a TV show that is like almost like a like oh dude, like a maybe maybe this is a little bit cliche, but like a like a like an origin story, dude. A fucking a Tywin Lannister through the ages or something. Like like a more in-depth look at like one of the houses or like something more gr like I said, night and you haven't watched it yet, you gotta watch it. Night in the seven kingdoms, so ground level, almost about like just one thing, no big extravagant, just one man story. Yeah, and it's so good.
SPEAKER_03I want to see the I want to see them like bring like Rob Rathian's like fucking like his war and make that into a show. Yeah, yeah, yeah.
SPEAKER_02But like the rise of Robert Brathian, the end of the Targaryas. Yeah, yeah. That would be good. But again, like again, like the those kind of things is where I'm like, okay, that's where they're getting so fucking extravagant, where they're like, well, this has gotta be a big ass battle, let's do it big. No, and I think it's better when it's like a I don't know, like a slow burn that builds up to the moment. That's the thing. I haven't read the book, but I like in Knight of the Seven Kingdoms, it ends with like a big ass, like jousting, like night battle at like one of these places that is like historic in the book for dunk. And uh it's it's like uh it it it's it's it's it's good because it's just dudes fighting with swords.
SPEAKER_06Yeah.
SPEAKER_02That's all it is. There's no fucking there's no crazy ass fucking And Deus Ex Machina coming in, fucking dragon saving the day shit. It's just Dunk fighting the motherfucker with a sword. And it's so good. Fucking mmm. It's so good. He holds him down and he says, Yield. And he's like, Targetarian, he's gonna kill him. He's like, yield! He fucking holds him up. He holds a knife to his throat. He says, Yield! He holds him up to the crowd of people. The Targetarian goes, yield. Fucking dunk fucking wins, bro.
SPEAKER_03Okay, dude, I gotta watch this show. I gotta watch it. I gotta watch it.
SPEAKER_02Yeah, anyway, I don't know. Like, yeah, yeah. The episode last night was alright. I I really I that's the thing. Again, we I we we've talked about this before. Yeah. How many seasons is this show supposed to be going?
SPEAKER_03I remember five. I think it's gonna go on for four. I mean, like, cause like fucking like cause because like they're fast tracking a lot of shit right now in these first two episodes. Episode two, Renier's on the fucking throne. So I'm like, okay. So I know, I know like where it goes from here. Like, there's I'm pretty sure it's gonna end with four seasons.
SPEAKER_02Yeah, I don't know. Like, that's a thing. Like, isn't this like an excerpt from the middle of a book? Yeah. And it's like four seasons? What is this? The Hobbit three movies shit?
SPEAKER_03It's longer. I feel like it should have been three seasons if they would have fucking just like cut down a lot of the bullshit from season two. Three seasons of House of the Dragon seems very long. Well, it seemed very logical when I heard about it coming out. I was like, okay, it's gonna be a three-season show. I'm okay with that. But now they're kind of just like stretching it out. It's just like okay.
SPEAKER_02These motherfuckers be wringing the cloth dry, dude. Like, man, I don't know, whatever. It's fine. Fucking whatever. It's gig it's a fucking 7.5 for me, I guess. This episode? Yeah.
SPEAKER_03For me, it's I'm gonna give it an eight.
SPEAKER_02I'm giving it an eight. That's the thing, it's like highly rated because last week when we were on the when we were recording, I looked it up and like right now. Yeah, it's pretty high, dude. Like pretty high on the series graph. Let's see. I thought it was a great episode, though.
SPEAKER_03You know what? It's fine, dude. It's whatever. The acting, the cinematography, the fucking music, the score in the fucking in the final moments of that episode. Awesome. Fucking like 9.4. I thought it was very solid episode. Even the writing on the episode I thought was great too. Like I thought it was like just an all-around great episode.
SPEAKER_02You know what, man? I'm not gonna push back anymore. I think it's just the same. I'm still in the position earlier where it's like I'm at this point now where it's like, okay, maybe it's good. Yeah. But when is it gonna get bad again? It's like how and and you know what? I think I think Game of Thrones ha and anything associated with that universe is is is sullied with that reputation after the ending of the original series.
SPEAKER_03I feel like okay, this is my this is my prediction. This is my prediction, and I'm also gonna venture into uh spoiler territory here. If they are fast tracking season three, I feel like season four is gonna be very lackluster. Because if they do kill off Rhenira and Amond and Damon and everybody in this season, then next season is gonna be very focused on, very heavily focused on Aegon, the usurper.
SPEAKER_02Damn! Everybody dies and Aegon lives?
SPEAKER_03Well, like he ends up a scarred motherfucker. He ends up like dying eventually, but fucking, like, yeah, there's like he outlives all those motherfuckers. He outlives all of them. Yeah.
SPEAKER_02That's wild.
SPEAKER_03That's that's uh an interesting point of writing, Mr. R.R. Martin. Because like he comes back to King's Landing with a fucking army and they fucking like they storm the dragon's pit and they kill all the dragons in the dragon's pit, and they fucking like apprehend Rhaenera, and then he feeds Rhaenyra to sunfire. Yeah. Pretty cool.
SPEAKER_02I'd be down for that.
SPEAKER_03Yeah, like that's that's what happens, and then meanwhile, fucking Damon and Amund are going at it at fucking God's eye, and they both die in that battle along with their dragons. So then fucking season four is gonna have zero dragons if they do this.
SPEAKER_02Damn, Damon fucking takes out fucking Vagar with Karaxes.
SPEAKER_03Yeah, pretty good. They mortally they mortally wound each other, they go at it hard and they mortally wound each other. And then while fucking like Vagar's dying, he has fucking Karaxes corpse inside of his mouth, and then fucking Damon jumps off the back of Karaxes and slams his sword through Eamon's fucking eyeball, and they fucking crash down together and they both die.
SPEAKER_02Damn. You know what? If they end season three like that, won't be bad. Is that after or before Rhaenyra does?
SPEAKER_03That's after Rhaenyra dies. Yeah, then I don't know.
SPEAKER_02That's the thing. If this episode, if this season ends with her dying, then then you know we're dragging it out too long. Yeah. Then you know that the next season is gonna end with like Damon dying or something.
SPEAKER_03And it's like season five is gonna be all about Aegon.
SPEAKER_02Yeah, don't drag it on.
SPEAKER_03Just fucking season.
SPEAKER_02Dude, I could that's the thing. Cause I remember when the show started, I'm pretty sure they said five seasons. Yeah. And if if if what we just said is correct, then that's exactly what they're gonna do. Yeah. Because that's exactly how you would do the show. Yeah. The whole the net this season, the whole main climax is Rhenira dies. And the next season, whole main climax is Damon fighting Aemon, and they both die.
SPEAKER_03And then the fifth season is all about Aegon. Aegon, yeah. That's crazy. And he fucking has like uh the other Aegon fucking um hostage, and he's fucking like fucking cut like cutting body pieces off of them, fucking sending them to people and shit. It's like they're fucking cutting pieces of his body off, but he still lives. He becomes the king. Yeah, yeah. And then the uh the other son, Viserys, becomes the hand of the king. And so basically the greens, the the the blacks do win. Yeah, yeah. Fucking uh the Damon and uh Renera's sons end up becoming rulers anyways. Gotcha. Yeah. So like uh we'll see what happens here with uh House the Dragon. Raymond's very on the fence about it, and I don't blame him. Season season two kind of did like leave a bad taste in my mouth as well. I feel like I almost gave up on the show because of season two. I almost did, but so far I'm really digging it. I'm really digging it. And um I think, well, I do think if they do, if they do stretch it out to five seasons, don't do that. But also I do feel like a finale for this season, like the storming of the dragon pit and Renera getting fit to Sunfire, that's a really good finale in itself, too. I feel like that that would be a solid episode. That's a solid finale. But then uh even more solid finale of season three would be um you know the battle of God's eye. But then you're killing off the two main characters in the same season, Matt Smith and Emma de Arcee gone. Right? So you gotta have like a season with at least like one of them in it. So I guess I can see them doing that as well. I don't know. I don't know how to feel about it, but we'll see what happens here. We will see what happens. But one thing I know for sure is that it's got a definitive ending. It's got a definitive ending, whereas Game of Thrones didn't have a definitive ending. Game of Thrones went past the novel, so they didn't have a definitive ending, so that's why the ending kind of fell flat for Game of Thrones.
SPEAKER_04I like what you're cooking with here.
SPEAKER_03But like with this show, there's a definitive ending. Like we know that they there's the ending, and if they end it that way, I'm okay with it. I'm fine with it. As long as we get there. As long as we fucking get there. And but just don't fucking stretch it out. Just don't stretch it out. But like, I do like I feel like, like I said, earlier, I don't know if you like heard me, I feel like the storming of the dragon pit and feeding the feeding of Reneera to Sunfire, that would be a good season finale because he can't kill off like Matt Smith and Emma DeRC in the same season. You gotta have at least you gotta have at least like one of the fucking like top billers in a season, I feel like. But then again, they killed Sean Bean in season one of Game of Thrones.
SPEAKER_02Yeah, they kill that motherfucker easy. They said, hey, don't get connected to any of these characters, they can die any moment. Yeah. And it's like, yeah, I don't know. I actually like where you were cooking, though, where it's like uh Game of Thrones did not have a definitive ending where George R. R. Martin has actually written this is just this isn't what's happening now, this is history. Yeah, yeah. So the history has already been written. Yeah. I do like that the I do like that aspect, but it's also like if they do drag it on for five seasons, then it's like fucking, I don't know, man.
SPEAKER_03If they drag it on for five seasons, make make it justifiable. Make it justifiable. But like make it four seasons. Make it four seasons. But if you do five seasons, make it justifiable. Have this fucking season end with either you know, I feel like the storming of the dragon pit and the Renier are getting fed to Sunfire is a that's a that's a good thing.
SPEAKER_02But then we're just we're just coaxing them into having the whole next season be Damon being in grief and just trying to get his payback to fucking Eamon and then the whole yeah, I don't know, man. Uh but whatever. Maybe it'll be good, maybe I don't fucking know, but who cares? Because guess what? I just remembered a story that I think you will enjoy. Wait, what's up? So you know what? Do you want what what did you give your rating for Dragon Talk?
SPEAKER_03Uh yeah, my rating for this episode was uh eight out of ten. Beautiful. So this is the end of Dragon Talk.
SPEAKER_02That is the end of Dragon Talk. Okay. That's my Dragon Voice. I don't know. I don't know if you've done, I don't know how much editing you've done, but on this on these episodes, you better get some cool music for these intros.
SPEAKER_03Oh, dude, uh, dude, fucking explosions, music, all that shit.
SPEAKER_02Okay. Yeah. Okay, so I remember I think it was last week. I told you the story of when I woke up one morning and I went to go take a piss and I got I got small cockitis. Oh, yeah. So I started pissing all over the toilet seat and all the way down. Yeah. So my son, we're we're potty training him right now. Yep. And uh so we he he went on the toilet the other day to go take a piss on his little potty, but he went on his little potty and his pe his penis is so small that like he he he didn't push it down, so he just pissed across the whole living room. And I was like, I was like, my young boy, my young boy, I haven't like father like son. I haven't told you the key to the universe. Um push that little dick down, brother. And then and then, dude, I swear to god, yesterday I think my dick's getting smaller, I'm getting fatter because fucking happened again, bro. Happened again, happened again. I said, Where's all the pee going? Oh, on my leg.
SPEAKER_03You didn't piss over my fucking bathroom floor in there, did you? Just now?
SPEAKER_02I don't piss sitting down. I was taking a shit, dude. I pissed standing up. That's what we gotta teach my son, because then you could he could aim his little tiny cock like I do. Yeah, piss standing up like a fucking small dick gentleman.
SPEAKER_03I I I I I I feel like I blocked all that shit out of my memory. I don't even remember like how my parents potty trained me at all.
SPEAKER_02I mean, you probably you didn't remember it because you don't, you know, you can't hold on. This is a thing. You know, you know have you ever heard somebody say, Yeah, I remember when I was two?
SPEAKER_03I've heard people say that. I know I remember shit.
SPEAKER_02You know they're lying, right?
SPEAKER_03I remember like when I was like four.
SPEAKER_02Hey, good age, because that's when children start developing memories. Yeah. Before then, you could beat the fuck out of them and they won't even remember it.
SPEAKER_04Dude, I'd be fucking beating Andre's ass when he's bad.
SPEAKER_02Pissed across the room. I know you pissed all over across the room, and I said, I said, I I actually I don't think I told Erica the story about my small cockida story in the toilet yet. Because I was like, she doesn't even know about that. She goes here. She already knows a tiny cock, it's fine. You go here. Um yeah, so I thought that was a fun story. I think it was a little add-on to last week's story when it gets uh released.
SPEAKER_03Yeah, it's like father like son, man. Fucking it's crazy, you know.
SPEAKER_02Dude, literally, I was like, uh I see my boy, and he's so tall, he's such a big boy, and then he pulls his pulls his diaper off, and it's just the tiniest little cock I've ever seen. Just the tiny, tiny, tiny little dick. Guess what, brother? What there's kids his age with big dicks. I don't know them personally. I was gonna do I don't know them personally, but Erica works in a daycare, and she says, Yeah, Andre's got a small dick. She doesn't say in those words because she's not trying to be rude because she's a mother, and she also is not trying to hurt my feelings. And I say, It's fine, baby. I know what I got. It's good.
SPEAKER_03One other compliment? I'm digging the hat.
SPEAKER_02Oh, yeah.
SPEAKER_03I'm digging the hat.
SPEAKER_02Okay, okay, so you know why I'm wearing this hat? Yeah, because I left my house in a fit of rage. You left your house in a fit of rage. Yeah, because you pissed me off, dickhead. Circle back to the beginning of the episode if you need pro fucking evidence. Anyway, so you you messaged me and you were like, you're like, I thought you were coming over. And I was like, all right, I'm coming over. So I wear this at home because like so I have uh I have very long dreadlocks. They're pretty much to my knees, the back of my knees, and they're they weigh heavy on my head. Yeah, but I I used to work, and what I would do is I would tie my hair up every day in a very, very tight bun. Yeah, but from tying it up in a tight bun and from how heavy it is on my head, it like it's pulling back and it's making me seem bald in certain spots. So I bought this hat on Amazon and it's like a super stretchy fabric. And what I do is I just like uh I spin my hair in the bun that I'm gonna usually do, put my hat on, and then untwist it a little bit in there, just so I could have my hair down, yeah, but up, but not like anywhere touching my back, because this shit is itchy, bro. Yeah, where this shit is itchy. But my my what Andre and I have been doing is we take the hat and we pull it down over our face and we say, I'm Batman. And then Andre takes my hat and he says, Papa, I want to be Batman. And I say, Okay, you be Batman. And then he takes it, he goes, I'm Batman. And then and then but then he also just takes the hat and he goes, You can't have it, Papa. And I say, But I need it. And he says, No. All right, brother. All right, brother, you better fucking run because I'm about to come beat your ass.
SPEAKER_03Yeah, fucking that word no, man, it cuts through fucking glass.
SPEAKER_02Yeah, he's a little, he's a little cocksucker, but it's fine. I was like, I've been I've been telling Erica, I think we're raising a spoiled child.
SPEAKER_03Yeah, if they start using the word no, I'm okay, I'll look up for that word. I think we gotta have any kids, so I I can't really give you fatherly advice. But the word no is a problem. I think we gotta start hitting them. Yeah, not sure, but we're gonna try it. My parents used to spank me. It would spank the shit out of me.
SPEAKER_02Yeah, dude. I'll spank the shit out of you right now. Fucking keep looking that good. I'll spank you right now, put you on my lap.
SPEAKER_03You know, like uh put you on daddy's lap. I mean, it worked for the most part. It instilled manners.
SPEAKER_02Yeah, uh uh like that's the thing. Like, I'm uh I I got hit as a kid too, but I've also learned from so Erica is an early childhood educator. Yeah, she she has gone to school for child development. Yeah, hitting your kids is always wrong, there's always a better way to do it. But sometimes I'm like, dude, we are creating a generation of people who have never been hit, yeah, and those motherfuckers are cocky.
SPEAKER_03And it's very evident because like, yeah, you have a whole like generation of young kids now that fucking go around like doing whatever the fuck they want to do. You had a 15-year-old girl stab a motherfucker, literally just jogging at 11 o'clock at night in St. Vatel. This happened like a few weeks ago. Dude was just fucking jogging. Fucking 15-year-old girl and her fucking like little piece of shit boyfriend. Hey, do you got the time? And the guy fucking goes to pull out his phone, they fucking jabbed him. They fucking stabbed him. Fucking dude died.
SPEAKER_02Like what? A knife or a screwdriver? A knife. Because most motherfuckers in the city don't even have knives, they're screwdrivers. Fucking. I remember the guy who has a butterfly knife. Dude, I was telling I was telling Erica, I was like, I think I should get a switchblade. I'm working, I'm working at the McLaren. I think I need a switchblade. Dude, get a butterfly knife, bro. Get a butterfly knife, just chop just fucking dice up my own fingers because I'm retarded. Like, come here.
SPEAKER_00Shit. Fuck, dude. Please don't rob me.
SPEAKER_02Yeah, I don't know. I was like, it's so funny, too, because I was like, I think I need a switchblade, and my mom gives me this knife from 1975. She's like, how about this one? I said, that thing's not gonna even cut butter, dude. Get out of here. Why are you trying to give me a knife from 1980, bro?
SPEAKER_03Well, again, I used to bring this pocket knife with me everywhere.
SPEAKER_02You used to bring a Swiss Army knife with you everywhere. What is that gonna do?
SPEAKER_03Nothing. Fucking nigga, it's gonna be.
SPEAKER_02You're gonna be like, hey, dude, do you need your beer opened?
SPEAKER_03It's got it's got a Phillips screw on there. I can fix things here.
SPEAKER_02Hey, bro, hey bro, do you uh hey crackhead, how's your skateboard wheels? Okay, I could tighten them. Dude, I literally use this to help some I I did one time.
SPEAKER_03I fucking, these guys fucking like they their their tire was off their bike, and I was like, hey, I can help you guys out. Fucking pull this out, fucking health mo. That's a true that's a canon event. Yeah, actually, yeah.
SPEAKER_02I know, I know. And they drove away on their bikes after that and they said, Can you believe that guy had a fucking Swiss Army knife in 2026? They're like, they're like, no, actually, it's crazy. That guy must be 80. It's a multi-tool? It's a multi-functional tool. If you were, okay, so this is a bit I'm stealing from another podcast. If you were uh a tool on the Swiss Army knife, which one would you be? Fucking corkscrew. You'd be the corkscrew? Yeah. I want to open things. I think I'd be the fucking let me see. Why is there so much gunk on this thing?
SPEAKER_03Oh, because I I use that to I use that to clean my fucking like my uh the resin and shit. Oh, cool.
SPEAKER_02Uh I'll be just anything that's not on that knife. That's the thing.
SPEAKER_03Oh, dude, it's all it's it's all weed stuff.
SPEAKER_02I know, I'm just kidding.
SPEAKER_03It's all weed stuff.
SPEAKER_02It's your butthole resin, dude.
SPEAKER_03Okay, like uh making like looby-doobies, I use the fucking knife to fucking like spread the oil across my paper.
SPEAKER_02Where do you get oil from?
SPEAKER_03Okay, like uh like well, I'm uh I'm buying like shatter from like, you know, then it melts down the shatter onto the paper. Then it fucking spread the shatter across my paper with the blade.
SPEAKER_02Doesn't that just harden up again?
SPEAKER_03Well, like fucking like once you have it like rolled up.
SPEAKER_02Yeah, I guess I guess like the warmness of your fingers probably warms it up as well when you're rolling it. I've never put shatter on a paper. I used to get honey oil a lot and put that on papers, obviously. A little bit uh little bit dubba.
SPEAKER_03I was uh I was thinking about getting honey oil and I make my own like fucking like uh moon rock moon rock joint and fucking like dip the fucking joint into the fucking into like some honey oil and then sprinkle Keefe on it. Think about doing that. And then like fucking put it in the freezer that hard and then smoke it.
SPEAKER_02How much honey oil do you think you're it's like you're putting it in like a test tube of honey oil, dude? There's no way you're dumping a joint in anything like that. No, no, just that was just a just a hand gesture, you know what I'm saying?
SPEAKER_03Like I all spread the oil all. Okay, okay, okay.
SPEAKER_02I tried doing that a couple times. It works alright. Especially if you just like rub an oil on the outside of a joint, and then you fucking just roll it in keef after. Yeah. Yeah, make your own little infusions.
SPEAKER_03Dude, I have like so many ideas, but I fucking like I'm not financially stable. What do you mean, so many ideas?
SPEAKER_04Bro, I'm gonna get this one sour diesel, and then I'm gonna get this other fucking sour diesel, and then I'm gonna roll the first one in the second one with the crystals.
SPEAKER_03Fucking hash, fucking roll it into like a little cylinder, fucking put it in the center of my joint, you know, fucking like fucking like roll the roll the fucking weed around that fucking like little cylinder of hash. And then and then fucking honey oil around the fucking paper, keef, and some little bit of diamonds crushed up, sprinkled on there too. I think you need a tolerance break. I'm like, okay, that sounds like a fucking dope fucking joint.
SPEAKER_02I think you need a break. You were doing the methamphetamines of weed, dude. You're like, yo, how can I fucking make myself psychotic in two minutes?
SPEAKER_03It's like, man, how can I get like the most stone as possible?
SPEAKER_02They actually make these things. I bought them before. They're uh by a brand called Shred, I think. Oh yeah. So they're terrible hash strips.
SPEAKER_03Yes.
SPEAKER_02So they're hash strips and they come flavored, and you literally open the package and it's got a perforated line on it. You tear it off perfectly and roll it straight into a perfect joint. Word. So that I think might be a very good, uh, very good investment because otherwise it's like, are you gonna get like real traditional hash or are you gonna get like some kind of like fucking uh bubble hash, which I mean wouldn't be very good.
SPEAKER_03Bubble hash wouldn't be good to fucking to roll into a fucking cylinder because that shit's like that's full melt. That shit won't like liquidy. That's liquidy. Liquidy. Yeah. Have you seen the process? Have you seen the process to make bubble hash?
SPEAKER_02Yeah, it's like the the first the first step in making rosin.
SPEAKER_03Yeah, yeah. It's crazy.
SPEAKER_02There's like a lot of like there's a lot of water involved. Yeah, yeah. So there's a there's a woman from the Netherlands, I I forget her name, but she invented the the the the cold wash hash machine. Yeah. So it's essentially like a small um like a like clothes washer. Yeah, yeah, yeah. I've seen that online. Except it's made specifically for hash. And yeah, this woman in the Netherlands, like when they when they discovered it, she created this device, which you can buy, which is strictly made for washing uh cold hash. Yeah. And you just use like the micron bags and shit.
SPEAKER_03Yeah. Yeah, yeah. Yeah. Fucking like I want to try that one. I also want to get like a solventless like press to make it to make like solventless like you know, like oil and shit. Yeah, that's like if you if you press your fucking weed, you if you put it like under like an amount amount an an immense amount of pressure, eventually you get fucking like oils like oozing out of that shit.
SPEAKER_01That's how you get rosin.
SPEAKER_02Yeah. That's like a form of rosin. Like the the the highest form of rosin. It's funny, I was watching a video about this before I came here today. The high so it's like the it was. First, the biggest thing in the video is what's the difference between live resin and rosin. Obviously, live resin is created with like chemicals, butane, propane, shit like that. Yeah. Where rosin is just heat and pressure. Yeah. So like um with uh what was it gonna say? Either way, yeah, with rosin, it's just it's just the cleanest shit you can get. But it's also like the way they do it at the high level is like, yeah, they make it, they make the they take the strain, the weed, turn it into bubble ash, yeah, and then they press that into rosin. Ooh. Yeah, yeah. That sounds pretty clean. That's like the high level shit. That's high levels, yeah. But like I know lots of people who have like obviously everybody's seen the thing where you get the weed, you get the hair straightener, and you get the parchment paper, and you just kind of press out as much fucking rosin as you can from it.
SPEAKER_03Dude, yes. I I used to do that with just like with keef, but I would make it into hash. Like that's how I'd make my hash. Yeah. Yeah, fucking I get some like keef, fucking I fucking pack it up in some parts of paper, just pack it right in there nice and tight, and then I fucking wrap it around, and then take like a um a damp a damp um paper towel, wrap that fucking damp paper towel around the wax paper, and then take the hair straightener, and then fucking squeeze it, and then boom, you got a nice little tiny brick of hash. That's how I'd make it.
SPEAKER_02Yeah. The only the only way I've made hash is just like a pressed hash with uh like a pollen press. Yeah, I was thinking about getting one of those too. Yeah.
SPEAKER_03They're cheap. Yeah. Like two bucks or something. I was thinking about getting one.
SPEAKER_02Yeah, that's uh it's funny. I was I should have brought it over. I I rediscovered a grinder I have at home, and it's one of the most unique grinders I've ever seen. So it's like it's all um it's got it's got instead of like a full magnet in the middle, yeah, it's got four magnets on the each corner, it's a square grinder. Oh shit. So you grind it up like that, and then you take the top off, which is all magnetic, and then the tray that the weed sits in is um removable. Oh shit. So it's like a deep ass tray like this, and you can grind up your weed and then pull it out and then use it to like sprinkle it in your joints. That's pretty cool. Yeah, that's unique as fuck.
SPEAKER_03Yeah, yeah. I don't know. I never I've never seen that grinder a day in my life in the back.
SPEAKER_02Yeah, I think it was so it was uh it was probably like a like a sample that they sent to the warehouse when I worked there, and then I think they gave it to me or uh I stole it.
SPEAKER_03I haven't remembered I have a question for you. So, like, why didn't you want to like get back into like the weed scene? Like, why didn't you want to we're gonna decide? I tried, bro.
SPEAKER_02That's the thing. Erica was asking me the same thing because like when I did my smart choices on Sunday, you do that and it's the same website you get your weed certificate from. Yeah. And my weed certificate is good until next year. It runs out in 2027. I guess I got it in 2021. Yeah. And uh or 2022. And so that was back when you were working at um Yeah, Canacabana. Yeah. Yeah. So I was like, I was looking online, bro, and like I couldn't find a single weed job available. And the one that I found was actually pretty close to my house, it was just on St. Mary's, not even near the mall, like about halfway. I applied there, I applied for two positions, didn't get a single call back. Dude, you know what's crazy? You know, it's been blowing my fucking mind. It's actually it actually makes me upset. I don't know why. I applied to like seven jobs at Walmart. Yeah. Every single one that emailed me back and said, sorry, we're going with somebody else. And it's like, I can't even get a fucking job at Walmart. Then people are like, Why are you working at the McLaren? Nobody will fucking hire me. Bro, I'm a hireable individual. I had a job for the last eight years. I have a good track record of working at a place. Yeah. What the fuck? Yeah, I can't get a job, so I'm working at the fucking McLaren, but like, dude, nobody like oh, every uh well, I get an email every two days being like, sorry, we're going with somebody else for this Walmart position.
SPEAKER_03I I had a job interview at the NCI there. Um they never emailed me back. I'm pretty sure they hired somebody already. Who knows? I don't know. You didn't listen? What?
SPEAKER_02Isn't it a radio station? Yeah. You didn't listen to see if they filled the spot with somebody. That would be the easiest way to find out if they hired somebody, right?
SPEAKER_03Well, like uh, well, it's only a part-time gig Friday nights.
SPEAKER_02Yeah, exactly. So you listen Friday nights, bro, at work. You're like, did they fucking do it or not?
SPEAKER_03Yeah, I guess I should. I should do that. I should follow up. I I sent them a I sent them an email. You sent them a follow-up email? That's good, yeah. Yeah, I did. I sent them a follow-up email and they never responded to me. Yeah, I sent them that email on Thursday.
SPEAKER_02Yeah, they probably definitely hired somebody then. Yeah. It sucks when it sucks when you get a job, when you go to apply to a job, and like even if you get an interview and then they don't even let you know. That's why when Sister Mary called me, bro, I said, Yeah, thanks for calling, dude. Like, I appreciate it.
SPEAKER_03For all I know, I could have gotten a job and they tried calling me like goddamn phone and my phone's fucking disconnected.
SPEAKER_02Yeah, yeah, true, true, 100%.
SPEAKER_03Yeah, for all for all I know they probably tried contacting me already.
SPEAKER_02You didn't you didn't tell them in the interview that you couldn't be contacted by phone? I fucking should have. Yeah, you definitely should have. Guess what? They definitely tried to call you. They probably tried to call me. Yeah, that's that's usually how I got a call back. Actually, for the first one, I got an email back from the guy from the McLaren. Yeah. And he was like, hey man, we want to hire you. Um, how do you feel about this, this, this, and that? And I was like, this was last week when I was here talking to you, and I didn't email him back yet. Yeah. I was still I was still like, I don't know if I want to take the job yet, because I had the interview at the monastery on Saturday. Yeah. And then the next day I was just like, whatever. I just emailed him back and I was like, yeah, bro, let's do it. And he was like, okay, cool. We'll get you set up for uh next week. Just get your smart choices and you'll be fine. And I was like, all right, cool. And uh, yeah, here I am, bro. Bad fucking slanging beers at the McLaren.
SPEAKER_03Slanging beers at McLaren.
SPEAKER_02Well, honestly, man, it's a job. It's a job, bro. I'm working, it's fine, whatever. If I get stabbed, I hope I live. I hope you live. I hope I don't die. That's the biggest thing. I hope I don't die, but if I definitely don't want you to die. If I don't die and I make at least 40 bucks in tips a day, and then I could live off my tips, like I could go home and I could buy vapes and I could buy weed and I could buy everything I need off my tips, then I'm not gonna complain. Because then all the money that I make is gonna go to bills and then saving money to buy cool shit. So I wasn't gonna tell you earlier, I'm gonna tell you right now, that's the thing. I'm gonna buy it, but I'm also not gonna leave it here for you to use. But if we do want to use it for the podcast, we can. I do sanction it.
SPEAKER_03Word.
SPEAKER_02I'm gonna buy a MacBook. I think it will benefit the podcast. Okay. I'm gonna buy a camera. I think it will benefit the podcast. Okay, yeah. But the camera for sure. But the Mac. The camera for sure. MacBook, I think, is gonna make it a lot easier to for like that's the thing, is like, I don't, that's the thing. If I buy a MacBook, it's gonna be tough because it's like I you need it to edit. Yeah. But it's also like, I at a certain point I'm like, I don't know if I trust you on my MacBook. Also, also, crazy thing I didn't mention. Stop. Come down to McLaren. How much are beers at Commonwealth?
SPEAKER_03We have like fancy ass drinks. How much is a Budweiser? We don't even sell a Budweiser. We don't even sell Budweiser. How much is a Bud Light? Do we even sell Bud Light? There. Everything there is like fucking previous. What's the cheapest beer? Is probably the lager.
SPEAKER_02Which is like I guess it's seven bucks, six bucks. So beers at the at the at the at the McLaren, four bucks. Dude, that's a steal. That's that's my fucking watering hole now. I was like, I started working there and I was like, I think this might be the cheapest I've ever seen beers in the bar. I'm gonna start hanging out. Four bucks a beer, $4.75 for imports. Also, we don't do anything crazy there. When I got hired, they were like, This is something I forgot to mention earlier. They were like, oh yeah, also, there's no crazy drinks here. It's like beers and uh uh uh uh rum and coke, rye and coke, shot of jack. Like it's like there's there's you come in and you ask for a sex on the beach, I say, point me to where? Fuck you?
SPEAKER_03I can I can I can offer you a shot of jack, dad. Yeah.
SPEAKER_02And you know also the shitty thing about this fucking job is that they weigh all the alcohol. So if any time I overpour, I gotta pay for it.
SPEAKER_03So you gotta be on fucking point now.
SPEAKER_02Yeah, I was thinking about buying, I've seen them before. They have shot glasses with literally measurements on them where it shows an ounce. Yeah. I was thinking about buying one and just bringing it into work every time I work, so I never overpour. Yeah, well, isn't like every single like shot glass literally an ounce of alcohol? No. No? No. Some of if you if you pour high enough, it's like an ounce and a half. Um, anyway, this is something I also forgot to mention earlier. So if you when you weigh all the alcohol at the end of your shift, if you're under, you gotta pay. If you're over, you don't gotta pay. But technically, the bar is making the money.
SPEAKER_03Yeah.
SPEAKER_02So the crackhead that trained me yesterday, yeah, when he finishes his shifts, if he if he's over, if his bottles are over, he pours up the shots and drinks them all before he leaves. Oh my god. He says, I'm not letting them make money off me. If I'm paying for when it's under, I'm drinking when it's over. Dude, boy got off shift, poured up four shots, shoved them back, and walked out. I said, Jesus Christ. I I I weighed him up today, I was over. The guy that was training me today said, ah, whatever, it's fine. Put it back. I said, Alright, I'm not gonna push it. Word. When I start getting more comfy there, I'm gonna be drinking it. Do it. Do it. I'm gonna be drinking it, smoking crack on the street.
SPEAKER_00I'm gonna be drinking it, smoking meth on the street. Hang out with all the guys up front.
SPEAKER_03Sean, you know where to find me? On the street. I'm OD'ing at your bar. And dude, go grab yourself a donor because they have a donair shop right there.
SPEAKER_02Yeah, it's attached to the building. And like I don't I don't think it's implemented anymore, but there's like old ass signage on the walls that say like $10 for a cheeseburger and fries. And I'm like, people come up asking for cheeseburger and fries. I'm like, what the fuck do you want me to do, man? I don't have access to the cheeseburger and fries anymore. Take the poster down. Literally, it's like a whole menu. It's like don't air and poutine. I'm like, take it down. They do have they do have one cool mural on the wall where it's uh where it's pictures and it's a it's the ABCs from A to Z, and each picture is a horror character. That's cool. Yeah, so A for Annabelle.
SPEAKER_03You have all of them at the McLaren Hotel.
SPEAKER_02All of them, all of them staying under one roof.
SPEAKER_00It's literally demonic bitches. Demonic bitches.
SPEAKER_02Yeah, I don't know. It's gonna be funny how like how how much this podcast is gonna reduce to us just talking about where I work. Like it's like we get we're like, we're like trying to plan everything to stay on track, and every week it's gonna be like, dude, this happened the other day.
SPEAKER_03We nailed everything that we were we nailed everything that we wanted to do today. We did good. You know what? I can't prepare with letters, I came prepared with funbox.
SPEAKER_02Yeah, funbox was good. Funbox was good. Funbox, I think, as long as we keep that consistent, yeah, our podcast might grow.
SPEAKER_03Yeah, might grow. People do like trivia.
SPEAKER_02I bet you when this podcast airs, people are gonna be at home like screaming in their phone, like story! Fucking door! Fucking A. Yeah, like Yeah.
SPEAKER_03That's an ongoing thing that we should totally do.
SPEAKER_02Okay, so maybe we'll do one. Well, I mean, I only got one more thing. I mean, we I think we've done a pretty good episode so far.
SPEAKER_03Two hours and forty-five minutes.
SPEAKER_02Oh my god, we can feel that long. We could definitely cut right now, but let's just why not jump into this? Have you seen, because it is coming out in the next three weeks. Have you seen any of the backlash with the Odyssey movie that's coming out? I've seen a lot of backlash. What have you seen? And tell me about it because I have a couple things written down that I think are pretty crazy. Well, like one Hell Helen of Troy is black.
SPEAKER_03Oh my god! I got it written down. Well, I'm like, dude, who cares if she's fucking black or not, man? The Odyssey, it it's it's not a historical piece. The Odyssey, yeah, I mean, it takes place during a historical time, but it's a piece of fucking fiction. It's a piece of fiction. They're sea monsters. Who fucking cares?
SPEAKER_02Sea monsters and giants.
SPEAKER_03Yeah, who fucking cares if the fucking if the if the characters are historic are historically accurate. It's not a piece of history, it is a goddamn piece of fiction. Who gives a fuck? Uh-huh. No, that's fine. Oh, oh, oh shit. Okay. Like, that's how I feel about it. Who gives a fuck? And there's like there's like this like one person trolling around that made that made people believe that Ellen Page was uh gonna be fucking uh um Artemis or what uh Achilles oh uh fucking Ellen Page is me playing Achilles, and it's like I don't think that's gonna happen. I was thinking of the theme. But then the whole but then the whole internet like uh like wasn't an uproar about it, like oh my god, Elliot Page is uh as Achilles? Oh, this movie's gonna be woke. I mean people actually believe that Christopher Nolan was gonna cast Elliot Page. I mean, if he did though, wouldn't you also think that's disgusting? I would think it's Ew. I mean the Ew gross. Ew.
SPEAKER_02Okay, now what is the other thing?
SPEAKER_03How are they gonna CG out in the chess cards? How are you gonna CG out anything?
SPEAKER_02How are you gonna make her them look like a man? Anyway, um, let's move on to the have you have let's Elliot Page still has the face of a woman, which is crazy to me. She has she ever had the face of a woman? I think she's had the face of a weasel of her whole life. She looks like a young prepubes.
SPEAKER_03She looks like a fucking prepubescent boy her whole life.
SPEAKER_02She looks like an underground mammal.
SPEAKER_03She looks like a fucking art work.
SPEAKER_02She looks silly, is what she looks. Anyway, um, let's see if you could touch on the last piece of controversy that I've written down on my phone. Do you know the last one? What what is the str hold on, I'll give you a hint. What is the strangest casting you've seen in the Odyssey? The strangest casting I've seen in the Odyssey? Yeah. It could have been Elliot Page. No, I mean actually. To be honest? Fair. No, it is not that one. It is it is honestly like you didn't hear about it? Okay. No. So Travis Scott. Oh, I've heard about it. Yeah, Travis Scott in the Odyssey, yeah, yeah. Has been cast in the Odyssey. Yeah. And did you hear Christopher Nolan's reasoning behind it? Because Travis Scott fucking makes good music or some shit. No, because well, yes, people they're good friends, apparently, but apparently didn't he help work on fucking some of the music for fucking Tenet. Yeah, he did Tenet, but also the reason he worked on Tenet, and the reason Christopher Nolan is using him, is because Christopher Nolan has said that the Odyssey is one of the oldest stories ever told.
SPEAKER_03Yeah, it is.
SPEAKER_02And who are modern day storytellers?
SPEAKER_03Rappers.
SPEAKER_02Travis Scott, apparently. He should have casted J. Cole. Should have casted anybody that's actually told a story and rap.
SPEAKER_03You could have you could have casted J. Cole. You could have casted Kendrick. You could have casted Lupe Fiasco. You could have casted Goy's face killer. He could have casted fucking Kanye even. You could have casted even fucking Drake. But no, it's cast fucking Travis Scott.
SPEAKER_02Yeah, I don't I don't really quite understand it, but also from all the controversy. It's an Eminem. Oh yeah, right. Yeah, yeah. He's told stories. Eminem's black. I don't know what you're saying. Um yeah, but like the whole the every controversy I've seen with the Odyssey has been like, oh no, they cast this black person. Oh no, they cast this black person. And I'm like, Jesus Christ, do you guys want the movie to be all white? Like, what is happening here? Is it just a racial conflict? Is this just a KKK clan meeting? KKK Klu Klux Klan Klan meeting. I think it was fucking well deal.
SPEAKER_03Shout out. Well, like I feel like people are just like, every time they put a black person in a film nowadays, I hate it. People go fucking bonkers, dude.
SPEAKER_02Every time a Jordan Peele movie comes out, I say I'm boycotting it.
SPEAKER_04Too many blacks.
SPEAKER_02Too many blacks. But I I don't know. I don't I don't quite get it. Like I think I think I think great casting, to be honest, for that movie. And you know what? I don't quite see it because I had a I had a guy I work with who was like uh we we we were like oh name the hottest girl alive and one of my one of my coworkers said Zendaya and I said don't agree. I don't agree I I I guess and then in this movie Zendaya is playing Athena. Yeah, who is the hottest woman alive, dude? It's crazy, and like like Zendaya continues to capture every role available. I don't even like this is so off topic. Zendaya's in the new Shrek movie. Yeah, she's in the new Shrek movie.
SPEAKER_03She's in fucking Shrek. She's a she's in a she's in everything. Yeah, man. Fucking Zendaya's like a cancer. It's she's spreading.
SPEAKER_02But like a good cancer.
SPEAKER_03Like a tight pussy cancer. I do love Zendaya. She's a great actor. She's a good actor.
SPEAKER_02She's great. She's an incredible actor. But she's in everything now.
SPEAKER_03It's like it's becoming too much. Everything's like becoming like way too oversaturated with Zendaya's face.
SPEAKER_02Well, it's just like, did did she actually even was she actually even qualified for the role? Or is she just being hired on the fact that she is Zendaya and she is so popping right now?
SPEAKER_03They also have Tom Holland in the fucking movie, too. Yeah, that's very true.
SPEAKER_02Crazy that Tom Holland got a Chris Renoland movie. Yeah. I never thought he was that good of a movie.
SPEAKER_03They got Robert Pattinson in there as well. He can fucking act his ass on. Really good at acting. I don't give a fuck what anybody says. There's like there's so many like fucking like Robert Pattinson haters out there. It's all got like religion. It's like I feel like they've like never watched another movie with Robert Pattinson in it because of Twilight. Yeah. It's like, man, just go watch Good Time. Go watch Good Time, please. Watch Good Time. And that'll fucking like make you like see how good of an actor Robert Pattinson is.
SPEAKER_02Any movie with Robert Pattinson after like 2020.
SPEAKER_03Yeah.
SPEAKER_02Yeah. After after he came back and was like, oh, I'm a good actor now. Yeah. And we were like, okay, I got yeah.
SPEAKER_03Allure. There's a lot of dudes that fucking still fucking refuse to watch the Batman because Rob Pattinson's Batman. It's like you're missing out on the most comic book accurate Batman fucking adaptation ever.
SPEAKER_02Absolutely blew my mind that people were like, I'm not gonna watch because Robert Pattinson. I heard Robert Pattinson was cast and I was like, wow, this could be very interesting. And then they did you know what you know what I you know what I really love about that movie that they've never done it in any other Batman movie? Stop the black makeup on the eyes. The black makeup on the eyes makes it so much more like he's he's the knight. He's in the fucking shadows, bro. Oh bro. I don't know. I I that just that one touch to that movie. I was like, they've never done that in any other Batman movie.
SPEAKER_03Yeah, and then it can they show that fucking little clip in the fucking trailer where like he's like he has the fucking like the black guy on his eyes, and it's people people like, oh we got an emo Batman, he's wearing eye makeup, we got an emo Batman. It's like dude, shut the fuck up.
SPEAKER_02Also, it's like watch the movie. Also, it's like Batman Batman is kind of emotionally when he's not fucking being Bruce Wayne, he's depressed, he's fucking depressed, the best detective ever has a contingency to kill all his friends. Yeah he doesn't trust nobody. I don't know, man. Like I Batman is inherently emo. Yeah, Rob that that Robert Batten, Robert, Rob Bat, I don't know, man. I like that movie a lot. I I also had an argument with my with my actually my boss when I was still working at the warehouse that that that is the most grounded a Batman movie has ever been because the because just the fact of the Riddler being an incel online creating an echo chamber of people that are gonna revolt in real life, that is literally has happened in society. Yeah, exactly. That has happened in society where people get online and they get in echo chambers and then they attack a place. Yeah, and it's like that is the most grounded a Batman has ever been.
SPEAKER_03Yes, and also not also fucking like Gotham felt like its own character. Gotham felt like Gotham was alive. Like Gotham felt like its own character, and like uh I I loved the Batman. I loved how it took like aspects of like year one, it took aspects of the long Halloween, it took aspects of fucking like hush, it took aspects of like all these famous fucking comic books and put them into one movie, and also you made Batman a fucking detective for once. Yeah, true. You know what?
SPEAKER_02Barely ever a detective. Yes, barely ever a fucking detective.
SPEAKER_03That's why DC comics is called DC Comics. You know what it stands for? Comics detective comics! Because of Batman.
SPEAKER_02Yeah, you know what's crazy? Is like barely anybody has ever nailed that. Yeah. Usually Batman is just the Batman. He's the Batman. And like, even yeah, the Christopher Nolan movies, he was barely a detective.
SPEAKER_03Yeah. Even though those movies like Barely. Even though the Dark Knight rocks, the Dark Knight rocks, Dark Knight Rises, I'm on the fence. They were both grounded as fuck. Batman Begins is awesome, but I don't like Bat, I don't like Dark Knight Rises. I fucking actually think that's Nolan's weakest film.
SPEAKER_02Um yeah, I mean, it's I mean, he's got a pretty he's got a pretty strong filmography.
SPEAKER_03He does, yeah. So like it's pretty easy to put that one at his weakest. Well, because there's like one scene, Batman just like throws like the firecrackers around Bane being standing there.
SPEAKER_02I don't know, I don't know, man. But come on. But also, but also that whole thing after that scene where Bane says, I was born in the dark. That shit, yeah, that shit, yeah, that shit is born in the dark. So quotable that shit was meme to death. Yeah. So I don't know.
SPEAKER_03I think it slapped hard on me for a third.
SPEAKER_02Certain parts of that movie kind of bang, certain parts of that movie. Definitely don't bang. Do you feel dude? Tom Hardy is banging. Yeah, he's slapped hard. I mean slapped hard. I thought it was, I thought it was great, to be honest. I thought it was really good. I thought I thought the opening scene to that movie fucking awesome.
SPEAKER_03Robin is Robin because his name's actually Robin.
SPEAKER_02That part is like shut the fuck up. Why would you even put that in there?
SPEAKER_03Oh I like your name, Robin.
SPEAKER_02Fuck you. Slick my dick. But like the part where like they're they're in the fighter jet and he's got the he's got the hood over his head, and they're like, who is Pain? And then he stands up and he's like, he he he fucks everybody up on the plane, and then his homies, he's they're they're they're about to crash the plane, and his homies there, and he's like, They're expecting bodies with the wreck. And he's like, the flame rises, and his friend just literally goes down and commits suicide in the fucking ship or in the in the jet. I was like, bruh, that's pretty hardcore opening. Yeah, obviously, the Dark Knights is way better of an opening, yeah, but that did I think it did kind of open well. I think it stacked up almost. It did.
SPEAKER_03It was also all practical, too. Yeah.
SPEAKER_02It's just it's it's just it's so hard to compare any of those movies after you've seen Heath Ledger's performance. Yeah. It's really tough to beat. Yeah. Like it's tough to beat in regards of the best Batman movie ever. Yeah. Like the Dark Knight is better than the Batman only because Heath Ledger is in it.
SPEAKER_03Well, I feel like the Batman is a better Batman movie than The Dark Knight, even though the Dark Knight is a better movie than the Batman, but the Batman's a better Batman movie. I agree. The Dark Knight. I would be. Because we actually have somebody who actually is Batman. Yeah. We have Batman.
SPEAKER_02Yeah.
SPEAKER_03I agree. I agree. Yeah. It's definitely a better Batman.
SPEAKER_02And Batman steals the show in the entire movie of the Batman. Uh man, but but Paul Dano as a Riddler.
SPEAKER_03Yeah.
SPEAKER_02Menacing.
SPEAKER_03Yeah, menacing as well. Menacingly terrifying. Crazy. When you watch a Batman movie, you want the Batman to be the standout of the movie.
SPEAKER_02Yeah. It's also crazy how they they said, okay, we're gonna make a Batman movie, and it's low-key a little bit of a slasher horror movie. Yeah. Where like the movie starts and it's like Riddler staring at the mare, and then it cuts, and it just it's lightning flashing and it shows the Riddler in the background. And he was reining in the fucking mare with the fucking hammer, dude. Yeah. I don't know. Pretty iconic. I don't know. It's it's funny. I love the Batman. You know what's funny? The only detriment to that movie? You know what it is? What? That they took six years to write the second one. Yeah. That the second one is only being shot right now, and it's probably not gonna come out till late 2027. And it's like, dude, that movie came out 2022, 2021, like 2023. Like that movie came out a long ass fucking time ago.
SPEAKER_03I was still working at fucking Leopold's and Bridgewater when the movie came out.
SPEAKER_02And like the and now they're like, okay, we're finally gonna do it. And it's like, man, it better be good. Hold on. Did you watch the penguin? I still need to watch the penguin. I mean, I know, man, dude.
SPEAKER_03Fucking I gotta stop watching so much fucking samurai shit.
SPEAKER_02I mean, keep watching samurai shit, but squeezing the penguin, dude, the penguin is like such an insanely worthy show to watch. That like you start it and you're like, oh shit, this is gonna be this gonna be just a classic penguin show. The show ends with you know, you know what's crazy? I said this already in previous episodes. I'm not I if this if if it's been out for already three months, spoilers aren't even available. Okay, show ends. Yeah, show ends. Penguin's been mentoring this kid the whole show. Oh, I know he kills him, he kills him, kills him at the end of the show, yeah, and then takes his mother, who is insane, yeah, puts her in his penthouse, all fucked up in a bed, and then starts fucking this prostitute who looks exactly like his mom and dresses like his mom, and he dances with her, and it's like a whole Oedipus complex where the whole thing was just Penguin trying to fuck his mom, and it's fucking and it ends, it ends with it ends with penguin dancing with his prostitute in the room while his mom was in a fucking hospital bed all fucked up. She's in a wig, she looks like his mom. It's fucking so creepy. It's the creepiest ending ever, and then it pans out and it pans up and it shows the bat signal. Yeah, pretty good. That's pretty dope. And honestly, the whole show is so well made and like honestly. It's all Matt Reeves, too, isn't it? Man, it's good. I don't think it's all Matt Reeves, but Matt Reeves was like a producer. Yeah. Yeah, he was on set for sure. The longest recording we've ever done, but I guarantee you not the longest we'll ever do in the future. Guys, thank you for listening.
