Join me for June’s podcast. I have recorded the meditation that accompanies this month’s newsletter. It is just fifteen minutes long, making it easy to use in the morning, in the evening, or during any quiet pause in your day to reset and refocus on the present moment.

This is a gentle meditation visualisation designed to support the natural transition as our bodies move out of winter and begin to settle into the spring cycle. With longer days emerging and brighter light around us, it offers a way to engage both somatically and mentally as we adjust to the season.

A reminder not to listen to the meditation while driving or operating machinery, and if you can to be in a space that you feel safe and comfortable within

I do hope you enjoy it. Your feedback is always welcome, and I would love to hear how you find the practice. Please feel free to share any suggestions for future topics, particularly those connected to the therapeutic world.

Hello, and welcome to Mindful Moments Therapies podcast with me, your host, Fiona. Today's recording is the recording of the June meditation that's gone out in my monthly newsletter. And you can find my newsletter link on my website or linked below. The newsletter is full of information on the season of June, of how to embrace those energies into your life and your life path. So this is the recording of the reflection that has gone out in the newsletter and is recorded if you find it easier to listen to. So before you begin, allow yourself to step away from distraction for a little while. Find somewhere comfortable and quiet. A place where you can settle without needing to rush. You may choose to sit upright with something supporting beneath you. Or lie down if that feels more natural today. And when you're ready, allow your body to grow heavier against the surface that holds you. Allow your shoulders to soften, unclench your jaw. Gently close your eyes or lower your gaze if you prefer. There's no pressure here. It's about finding the way to become relaxed that works for you. There's nowhere else you need to be for the next few minutes. There's nothing to solve, nothing to prepare for. Just simply arriving. Begin by noticing your breathing exactly as it is. Not changing it. Just observing the rise and fall. Steady movement of air entering and leaving your body. And take a slower breath in through your nose. And exhale gently through your mouth. And again, breathing in slowly and breathing out with ease. Feel the weight of your body settling further. Notice the points where you connect with the ground beneath you. Notice your feet, your legs, your back, and your hands all resting naturally. Now bring your awareness to the feeling of summer around you. Even indoors you may sense it. The warmth in the air, the longer daylight, the quieter evenings stretching further than they did. Only just a few weeks ago. June carries a different rhythm. Not the awakening of spring, but the fullness of life already in motion. Now imagine yourself outside in a peaceful summer landscape. Perhaps you are standing in a meadow at a golden hour of sunset, sitting beneath a large tree or walking slowly along a coastal path as the evening light softens around you. Choose whatever place feels calm, open, and full of life to you. Notice the atmosphere there, the warmth resting on your skin, the movement of grasses in the breeze, the sound of insects humming softly nearby. Bird song still carried through the evening air. Everything around you feels established, rooted, growing steadily without rushing. Take a moment to simply stand within this landscape. You do not need to do anything here. You're not trying to become anything. You are simply present within the season. As you breathe, notice how the natural world holds both energy and stillness together. The movement of leaves overhead, the warmth of the earth beneath you, and the quiet continuation of life all around. Allow your breathing to match that rhythm. Steady, unforced, and supported. Now bring your awareness gently inward. And just notice how you have been moving through your own life recently. Not with judgment, only awareness. Have you been giving yourself space to experience what you have already reached, already achieved? Or have you been moving quickly from one thing to the next? Always focused on what comes after. As you reflect, imagine yourself sitting beneath the shade of a large summer tree, strong branches stretching above you, coolness beneath the warmth of the day, a feeling of shelter and steadiness. This tree does not hurry its growth. It does not question whether it has done enough. It simply remains rooted while life moves around it. Allow yourself to rest in that feeling for a moment. A feeling that you do not always need to push forward to deserve rest. That presence itself has value. The stillness can coexist alongside growth. Now take a deeper breath in. Releasing the pressure to constantly produce the pressure to fill every moment or the pressure to prove your worth through exhaustion. Just allow the breath to soften those edges. To ask yourself quietly what in my life already deserves my attention and care. Where do I need more balance between movement and rest? There is no need to force an answer. Simply allow the questions to settle gently within you. Around you summer continues its rhythm, leaves shifting in the warm air, light stretching across the landscape. Life is moving steadily forward without urgency. And you are a part of that rhythm too. Not separate from it, not behind it, but part of it. Just take another slow breath in and exhale fully. Noticing the surface supporting you once again. The temperature of the room around you, the natural rhythm of your breath. Perhaps something feels slightly different now. A little quieter, a little steadier, a little more spacious within yourself. As you prepare to return to the rest of your day, try and remember this. You do not need to force fullness into your life. Some things are already here, already growing, already worthy of your presence and care. Gently begin to bring gentle movement back into your body, wiggling your fingers and moving your toes. Roll your shoulders or your neck side to side if that feel comfortable. And when you're ready and on an outward breath, slowly opening your eyes, bringing you back to consciousness and fully back to awareness. So just take a moment now to reconnect with your surroundings, noticing the shapes, colors, and textures around you. Allow your attention to settle fully back into the present moment. You may wish to stretch gently, drink some water, or step outside for a few moments before continuing with your day. Carry with you the steadiness of the season, the warmth, the spaciousness, and the reminder that growth does not always need urgency in order to continue. Thank you for joining me for June's meditation. You can find a copy of this in my newsletter linked below. And if you don't already receive it, you can subscribe there, read back issues, and make sure that you are signed up for July's edition. But in the meantime, I've been Fiona. Take care and I'll catch you next time.
