Join me for July’s newsletter meditation. I have recorded the meditation that accompanies this month’s newsletter. It is just fifteen minutes long, making it easy to use in the morning, in the evening, or during any quiet pause in your day to reset and refocus on the present moment.

This is a gentle meditation visualisation designed to support the natural transition as our bodies embrace the heart of summer and the longer days.

A reminder not to listen to the meditation while driving or operating machinery, and if you can to be in a space that you feel safe and comfortable within

I do hope you enjoy it. Your feedback is always welcome, and I would love to hear how you find the practice. Please feel free to share any suggestions for future topics, particularly those connected to the therapeutic world.

Hello and welcome. Thank you for joining me for today's podcast. Welcoming you back if you've listened before. And as always, I'm so pleased you've chosen to spend this time with me as we pause together, gently reconnecting with ourselves through the wisdom of the seasons. Today I'm recording the meditation that's gone out with my monthly newsletter. And as always, I record it so you have the choice of being guided by me or reading and following the meditation just for yourself through the newsletter. So before we begin, I'd just like to offer, as always, a gentle reminder that this meditation is designed to help you relax deeply. So please do not listen while driving, cycling, operating machinery, or doing anything that requires your full attention. Instead, choose a quiet, comfortable and supportive space where you can settle without interruption for the next 20 minutes or so, whether you're sitting in your favourite chair, resting on a cushion, or lying down somewhere comfortable, allow this time to be just for you. You may like to dim the lights, light a candle, or simply sit beside an open window, noticing the warmth of the summer air. Whatever helps you to feel supported, comfortable and at ease, and is right for you. When you're ready, allow yourself to gently close your eyes or soften your gaze. Whatever feels more comfortable for you. Take a slow deep breath in, gently breathing out in your own time and your own rhythm. Just allowing yourself to arrive fully in this moment. Before you begin, give yourself permission to pause. Find a quiet place where you can be undisturbed just for a little while. Sitting comfortably with your feet resting on the ground or lying down if that feels more supportive today. Allow this time to belong entirely to you. There's nothing you need to achieve, nothing you need to fix. Just this moment. As you settle, notice the surface beneath you holding your weight and allow your shoulders to drop, softening the muscles around your eyes and unclenching your jaw. Allow your hands to rest just gently. And if you haven't already done so, and if it feels comfortable, just gently closing your eyes. Taking a slow breath through your nose, exhaling slowly through your mouth, and again breathing in, filling your lungs with fresh air, and breathing out, releasing the busyness of the day. With each breath, allow yourself to arrive more fully. Now bring your awareness to your breathing without trying to change it. Simply notice its natural rhythm. The gentle rise of your chest. The soft fall of each exhale. Feel your body becoming heavier. More settled, more supported. Imagine now that you are standing in the heart of summer, a warm July evening, the golden light of the setting sun stretching across the landscape, bathing everything in a soft amber glow. Perhaps you are walking through an ancient woodland. Perhaps you have found a quiet meadow filled with wildflowers. Or maybe you're sitting beside the sea, listening to the gentle rhythm of the waves. Allow the place to reveal itself in whatever feels right for you. Notice the warmth of the air against your skin, the scent of wild herbs, grasses and summer flowers carried on the breeze, the gentle chorus of birds preparing to settle for the night, and the hum of bees moving peacefully through the landscape. Everything feels alive, yet nothing feels hurried. Take a slow breath, and as you exhale, feel yourself becoming part of this place, not simply observing it, belonging within it. The earth beneath your feet feels steady and reassuring. The trees stand quietly around you, rooted deeply, their branches reaching towards the evening sky. The whole landscape seems to breathe alongside you. Steady, calm, unhurried. As you continue to breathe, notice the abundance surrounding you, the richness of the colours, the fullness of the trees, the flowers in bloom, and the fruits beginning to ripen. Nature is not striving, it is simply expressing all that it has become. Allow yourself to wonder, can I offer myself that same kindness? Can I appreciate who I am today without always asking myself to become more? Take another gentle breath. Imagine that with every inhale you are drawing in warmth, peace, and quiet confidence. With every exhale, allowing any pressure to constantly achieve, compare or prove yourself to drift gently away. You do not need to carry it any longer. Now in your mind's eye, find a beautiful old tree. Its branches spread wide, offering cool shade beneath the warmth of the afternoon. Walks towards it slowly, sitting beneath its canopy. Feel your back resting comfortably against its strong trunk. Notice how effortlessly it offers shelter, asking for nothing. It simply stands season after season, fully itself. Spend a few moments here. Feel its quiet wisdom, its patience, its steadiness. Allow yourself to borrow these qualities. As you rest beneath the tree, quietly ask yourself, Where in my life am I already enough? What beauty have I overlooked? Because I have been looking ahead. How might I slow down enough to truly experience this season of my life? Or maybe questions of your own. Simply allow the questions to settle gently within your heart. The breeze moves softly through the leaves above you. Sunlight dances between the branches. Everything around you continues exactly as it should. There is nothing to force, nothing to rush. Only this moment. Take a deeper breath now, feeling gratitude for your body, for your breath, for the path that has brought you here, for all the quiet ways you have grown, even when you didn't notice, you are still becoming just as the seasons continue to turn, just as the tides ebb and flow, just as the trees continue to grow one ring at a time. Allow yourself to rest in that truth. Take one final slow breath in, and as you breathe out, imagine sending gratitude back into the landscape around you, to the earth, to the trees, to the sky, to the season itself. Now begin to bring your awareness back to your body. Notice the support beneath you. Notice the gentle rhythm of your breathing. Becoming aware of the sounds around you, the temperature of the space that you're in, the feeling of your clothing against your skin. Begin to move your fingers and your toes, and perhaps gently roll your shoulders or stretch if they feel good. When you're ready, slowly open your eyes and take a moment just before moving on with your day. Carry with you the quiet wisdom of July. The reminder that life is not always asking you to do more. Sometimes it is simply inviting you to notice what is already here, to receive it with gratitude, to rest within it, and to trust that like nature, you are growing in ways both seen and unseen. Just take a moment more to orientate into the space that you're within, noticing objects close and further away, allowing your senses to ground fully into the moment, and a deep breath in, exhaling out, grounding into this moment. So thank you for sharing this time with me today. I hope this meditation that accompanies my newsletter has helped you feel a little more grounded, a little more spacious, a little more connected to yourself and the beautiful rhythm of summer. If you've enjoyed this episode and you haven't been here before, I'd love for you to follow the podcast so you'll be notified when a new seasonal meditation is released. If you feel called to, please do leave me a little review as it helps others to discover these moments of calm and reflections, these little pockets of peace. So until next time, be gentle with yourself. Spend time in nature whenever you can. Remember that your well being deserves you to care every single day. So take good care, and I'll see you again soon.
