SPEAKER_01

Good morning. I know. I just I I t I told you I don't really see people in the morning like most people would. And if and if I and but I should, I will. I'm sorry. I'm sorry. You haven't done it. I don't know it. Haven't done it. Just now. It's the first time.

unknown

Yeah.

SPEAKER_00

Good morning. Well, you're like you in the eye. You know what? Your your grandmother, your grandmother's gonna have something to say about that when you get home.

SPEAKER_01

Why are you talking about my grandmother right now?

SPEAKER_00

She's gonna have something to say about it when you get home.

SPEAKER_01

Okay.

SPEAKER_00

That you're not saying good morning to people in the morning.

SPEAKER_01

Oh, right. The grandmother is the one that's gonna make me go go back backwards in time and find everybody I missed and tell them good morning.

SPEAKER_00

Or just at least for the one day. What's your what's your first of all? I guess I'm not being nice to you. Uh did Sadie tell you that? Yes. I love Sadie. I'm not such a smart kid. I'm not being nice to you. Why do you really think that's a good one? I haven't felt that, but uh tell me what happened. What I do. I don't know. What'd you do? You're not being nice. I'm not being nice. Okay. So I but that's that's all she said. I guess. But do you you don't you don't get you're not feeling that?

SPEAKER_01

No, no, I I think it's it's going squimmingly, this uh daily conversation.

SPEAKER_00

I think she just maybe doesn't she doesn't get our humor.

SPEAKER_01

I don't I don't know how much humor there is, but um maybe she she doesn't get our chemistry. I don't know.

SPEAKER_00

Well, I don't know. We don't have chemistry, I guess.

SPEAKER_01

Well well that that uh that's not true. We have chemistry. We have chemistry, but the first day it was a little awkward as we tried to establish uh the planning stage for our new podcast. That was like the first day we met, right? Yeah. Um no, but what you had said you you had said that you've got these little names that that that come around in your family, like Spiider, or there was another one.

SPEAKER_00

Well, there's there's the long cut, um the long cut, there's yeah um the shortcut and the long cut, right? There's a whole bunch of Sadie.

SPEAKER_01

Um Well we we have some too. Like um my mom said uh she's talking about going in the entrance, and then she she l always looking for the outrance, right? So we have the entrance and the outrance at our house. That's a good one. We also we also have uh well they they call my my my kids call my mom uh her that she wanted to go by grandmother, but they couldn't say that. And so what they said sounded like well the I think my son knew the word for money. Okay and and then she would always she always seemed to like be giving them stuff, and some somehow the name Minko, which was kind of like his word for money, was is become her name. Uh so we call her Minko. Okay um that's their their name for her. Um but the the other there there's more. I mean, we I think every family has some of those those things that they say. One of the things that we've always said for many years since since I first met you guys is uh we would say Briana. Andrea, yeah. Andrea.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah. Umbrella. Oh, there we go. I guess do you see? Do you see how it fits in? I see how you did that. You know, there's that that beep again. Um wow, that's what that was one of the things that um I live in Michigan and um the girls, I think that it was Ava that said she thought it was Mish. She thought I lived in Mish. Uh huh. And we were gonna go to Mish again. Oh. So Michigan. A Mish again. Yeah, I live in the state of Mish. I like that. Yeah. No, I gotta get that list from I gotta get the Sadie list. Um, I mean, and and and we use the words every, you know, almost every day. All the time.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah.

SPEAKER_00

All the time.

SPEAKER_01

Maybe not every day, but everyone.

SPEAKER_00

All the time. But it's like all the time. It's the way we talk. I'm gonna get these, I'll I'll get this list. Um here's a fun one. Let's do this one. Let's just do this fun one. My kids, their grandparents, so my parents, Nana and Bubba, and then Bree's parents, Kiko and Abu. Uh-huh. So there's no grandma, grandpa. There's Nana, Bubba, Kiko, Abu. And so what how did it go in your world? Um, we well, my we know one. We know one of them, Minka.

SPEAKER_01

Minko, and my my dad was dead, so he didn't get a name. Oh. Caroline's parents, her mother wanted to go by Grammy. And so then her husband decided to go by Oscar. Does that make sense?

SPEAKER_00

No.

SPEAKER_01

The Grammys and the Oscars. Oh. You'll appreciate that one, right? So they've kind of turned into Grammy and Oz.

SPEAKER_00

Oh, see, that's awesome. See, my grand I had I had grandma and grandpa b and grandpa, grandma and grandpa branch. Like see, that's boring. It was kind of like you just grandma baby and grandpa branch, you know. But where does Kiko come from? That's no, those are my grandparents. Yeah, but why where's that where's that? Well, I know Kiko is I'm just talking changing the subject.

SPEAKER_01

I'm taking a left turn.

SPEAKER_00

Oh, you took a left turn. His name is Eric, and I think Erico is kind of the Spanish version of it, and it's kind of it's it was kind of his nickname as a human, is Kiko. But they just called him Pico. They didn't call him anything other than his nickname. You know, that's whatever that's what people call him, Pico. Um but yes, but so what were your grandma?

SPEAKER_01

I had a granny and gr and granddaddy, and then on on one side, and then I have my grandmother. We called her grandmother on the other side. And and she was uh single or divorced. Uh-huh. And then my my grandmother's mother was Mimaw. My great grandmother.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah.

SPEAKER_01

Mimaw.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah. Yeah. I did I had great grandparents too growing up. Yeah. I don't, I think, I just I think I called him great grandma.

SPEAKER_01

We I never we didn't have a lot of male figures. The men the men had left. I mean, my grandfather was there, but he also died, you know, uh in his 70s, and I was, you know, or in the 70s. I don't know. All I know is I remember him very vaguely. I was probably like 10 or 11 when he died. Right. And my dad died when I was 21, but like uh other than that, there weren't there weren't a lot of, I don't know, did I have an uncle? I had a I I guess I had an uncle somewhere. Yeah, I have I have uncles. Uncle Will. But I you know, I they just weren't big figures in my life. Right. The women were always more powerful, you know. Right, right. I think that's probably how it is in a lot of places. Yeah. I think I I think I think women should run the world. Honestly, I'm not I'm not afraid to say it.

SPEAKER_00

Women and grandmas, I agree, I agree. I think women should run the world. The guys have had their chance. Now it's time to get the ladies. All right, you gotta wrap it up, gotta wrap it up, gotta wrap it up.
