SPEAKER_01Thank you so much. Thank you for having me. I'm really excited to be talking to you. I've been getting to know you offline, and this is just amazing. I love what you're doing. Oh my god, thank you so much.
SPEAKER_03Yeah, sure. I think to set the tone of uh today's uh podcast, I think uh, and I mentioned this to you earlier as well, you have it in your bio, The Overwhelm Coach. Like that word in itself describes uh solopreneurs, small business owners, business owners, and in general, people who are doing work that is like the not the nine to five, and they really are creating something with meaning and you know, with a purpose, and you have decoded that in the in one word so well uh on overwhelm. So I'm very excited to know how did you come about that? Like what happened that you realize that that's the key word for your business?
SPEAKER_01Yeah, that's a good question. It happened not by accident, really by just doing the work. I'm definitely somebody who has been steeped in overwhelm and wasn't sure how to get out, and coming out of it was definitely a process, and you have to really be intentional and honest about your life and what's really happening and what's really working to get out of it. And then when I started working with clients, I was I started off as just accountability because I understood accountability, the power of accountability, just from years in corporate America, um, accomplishing things, getting big tasks done, major projects, and just elevating. And so I really wanted to bring that to the small business world, to the space, so so women could really thrive in their businesses and grow. And the more women I worked with, the more I realized, oh my goodness, overwhelm is the recurring theme that I'm coming across. That is really what's keeping people stuck, keeping put people from moving forward, keeping them from overcoming their fears. It's really just all the what the pressure and the weight, and then seeing that they're doing all the things we're you know, as a solopreneur, we're doing it all by ourselves.
SPEAKER_00Yes.
SPEAKER_01And it's so easy for that to just pile up and pile on. And when you start off, you're really clear on where you want to go, how you want to do it, and all of a sudden you get caught up in the mix and you don't know what to do next. You don't know what's most important. You have all the noise, every person out there, every expert giving you all the advice. Do it this way, no, do it that way. And all of a sudden, and and that's not include your personal life. Whether you have a family or not, you have parents taken care of, all the things, all that comes together, and all of a sudden, everyone I worked with found themselves in this place like, I don't know how to move forward. I don't know what to do next, I don't know what's working, what's not working, and I am just stuck and overwhelmed. And because and it creeps in to where you don't even realize that's what's happened. You just wake up one day and you're like, this sucks. So and so, yeah, and so I realized I started really helping women work through that. And I was like, okay, let's let's see what's going on, let's dig a little, let's dig a lot deeper and see what's happening, what's important, and then go through. And I was like, you know what, this is really where I'll be honest, where my magic is. Yeah, no, and I hear you.
SPEAKER_03So I hear you, and and this is exactly what I really wanted to bring to the podcast today because I think I have had a journey of my own this year, which has been of a huge overwhelm um and the stuck phase, and then kind of chipping away at it and trying to come out of it. So I think it's so beautiful that you work through this, and rather than I had to really figure it out uh in many different ways to get here, and to have a you know, a coach like you or an accountability partner like you is like is a gift to yourself because if you're going through something like this, then like where do you look look at? But as I, you know, I I as you mentioned, you know, I want to dig a little deeper at this over and trap, which is like, you know, when you stop running the business and the business starts running you, yes. Um, like if you had to go in a bit deeper on this unseen over and what's actually happening? Like what's like I know my story, but in general, because you work with so many women, you would have an average idea of what's actually at play. So um, you know, for women who are not even realizing that there's something at lake, like what do you what is your observation so far?
SPEAKER_01So how do we get there? Like how do we creep in? A lot of it is a lot of it comes from not really being sure of like who you're talking to, what you should be doing, being clear a lot of times on your brand, which is where you specialize, right? Like understanding that because there is so much noise out there. There are a lot of there are a lot of experts in their field. And the and I love listening to all the experts. You gain a lot of wisdom. But if you don't know who you are and what you and who you're serving and what your mission is, what you're trying to get done, who your audience is, who you're trying to serve, it can get really confusing because they all have really good advice. But if you don't know how to apply it, then it just starts to swirl in your head. So that's definitely one of the things that happens. And also just the idea of like what is most important? How do I grow? Like, if I want to move the needle in the right direction, what is the next right step? Because there's so many things to do. In a major corporation, you have a bunch a bunch of employees and they can all do different things at the same time. So it can all help pushing things forward, but when you're by yourself, you can't do it all at once. And even though we are the best multitaskers, women, we can multitask with the best of them. But the reality is that's not sustainable. And something gets dropped, you're doing too many things at once, and I feel like that's something that it becomes really hard to kind of just accept. It's like, wait a minute, I shouldn't be doing all the things, and it's like you can do all the things, but you can't do all the things at the same time. Just figure out how to do it smart in a way that makes sense, that makes you feel good, and get you where you want to go. And so I think there are so many things that that uh come into it, and I think a big part of it is saying yes to too many things. We love saying yes, we love being the one and I I am a proponent for that. Say yes. Say yes to opportunity, say yes to collaboration, say yes to the things that come in your that come to you because they feel good, but we find ourselves saying yes to too many things, and then we don't know how to say no anymore, and then we're just lost. And it just there's so many things that build. I'm trying to think of all the different things I've heard, but and usually and the balance uh figure out how to balance business because when you not everybody comes out of corporate, but when you see the difference, being a solopreneur is a lot of work. It is arguably the hardest thing you'll ever do. Because you have because you are, you are on your own, you are figuring it out, you are making all the taking all the risk, you get all the reward, but you get all the risk and all the fear, and you don't have somebody, which is why community is so important to have, but that's a whole nother conversation. But yeah, so I think um there's a lot that leads to overwhelm, and a lot of it is lack of direction and lack of understanding of where you want to go and where you want to be, and not really knowing that you don't know what you don't know.
SPEAKER_03Yeah, no, I I hear completely. And and like if you were to dissect overwhelm as like what you correctly mentioned, like there's a personal life that is happening in the parallel. Uh, you know, you're looking at all these experts and people claiming seven figures, six figures, like all of those things that's like buzzwords, right? And you think that, oh my gosh, like I'm not doing something right, or uh, you know, like why is it not happening for me? And even when you have not understood everything about yourself or how you know solopreneurship works, you're already overwhelmed at this idea of failure, of not being enough, or not doing enough, or not uh good enough. Like I just feel like specifically, solopreneurs go through this journey where they are already comparing their self themselves to so many other people, and that let leads to some you know emotional and mental um I think spirals.
SPEAKER_00Yes.
SPEAKER_03And it all shows starts showcasing in your brand. Like it all your brand's strategy, your strategic read leadership, your strategic decision making all kind of gets impacted because now you want to be like, oh my gosh, how can I get there faster? Um so so really if if you were to kind of pinpoint in one particular thing for a solopreneur right now, in the next like say six months, that they cannot they want to avoid the spiral. What do you what do you think about it? Like, how do they approach this this piece?
SPEAKER_01The one thing. If there is one, oh that's a good question. I feel like it's different for everybody, so it's really hard to ask that question to answer that question. This is one of the things that I obviously I struggle with in certain spaces, and people are like, you know, they want the quick answer because the answer is not the answer can be quick if I know what's happening in your life. Yeah, who you are. And I think a lot of times we get caught up on people who feel like they have that one answer. And I'm sorry I'm not answering your question exactly, but that's the reality of it, is that you have to stop and assess. And it doesn't take that long. Like it doesn't really take long to stop and spend an hour or hour and a half and just go through what is on my plate. Yeah, where do I want to go? And then figure out where you start and what is the next best the next best move. And I think people don't stop and do that, and they don't stop and take the times they feel like they don't have the time. And you want me to stop and think, stop and process, stop and dissect? Yeah, actually I do. Because when you stop and take that time for a few minutes up front, it saves you all the time in advance. I can say yeah, every one of my clients, this works. And stopping, and so maybe that's the the thing, maybe that's the answer. Pause. Pause look at everything that's happening and then assess and then move forward, make a plan and move forward. And and you know what? People don't like a plan, they're like, I don't want a plan, I like to kind of wing it and go by the seat of my pants. I'm that person. I am somebody, I can go in a million different directions. But the problem with that is that you find yourself chasing this shiny object all the time and never circle back to where you need to need to go. And when you have a plan, you can get off track because it'll happen to the best of us. When you have a plan, you will realize all of a sudden I'm swer swerving off to the right and I need to get back in the middle. And I think it's really important. So yeah, I think that is actually the answer.
SPEAKER_03No, yeah. I I love that you mentioned the word shiny objects because I think that's exactly what leads to the spiral, uh, specifically in terms of you know strategic work that you're doing for your company or brand, because you suddenly see that, oh, you know, this is the next best thing, everyone's doing it. I should do it too. And you know, suddenly you're off track, suddenly you are doing something uh, you know, which you had not planned for. There's not enough bandwidth, there's not enough resources that you plan for, and and net net you are just sitting in this over chaos. So I really like what you said about uh, you know, the the shiny object syndrome, and and I think a lot of solopreneurs, including myself, I struggle with it. And having a coach like uh just to kind of get you back on track, get you to understand, hey, listen, this year, this is what you wanted to do. So, you know, you you this shiny object syndrome is like you're wavering. I really feel that kind of an anchor that you get from an accountability partner or coach has done such tremendous favor to me that I I don't think no other uh uh way of working as a solopreneur could work for you better than this.
SPEAKER_00I agree, yeah.
SPEAKER_03And and so so these are like you know, what you mentioned about uh all the the overwhelm that happens, but there's a cost to it, Terry, right? Like now I can sit in overwhelm, I can not take any help, I can keep following the shiny object, and there's a cost that is being paid. So, what do you think when you see out there, what's that cost that that these solopreneurs and business owners are paying that they don't even realize yet?
SPEAKER_01I think the cost is is achievement, really. You know, they spend a lot of spend a lot of time not reaching their goals, not getting where they want where they want to be. And I think they spend a lot of time often just thinking to themselves, you know, people come to me as a last resort. They I'm not the first option. I'm just not. They come to me after they've done everything else, they're like, okay, let me try you out and see. And then things start to move because we actually do address everything and we start with with you. And I think one of the things that I think I failed to mention that when you were talking, maybe I started thinking about this, was also which is really important is when you understand who you are. Because when you understand who you are, what you stand for, and that's not to say people can be like, Oh, I know who I am. Of course, you know who you are, but when in context of your business, in the context of whatever product you have, service, whatever who whoever you are serving, understanding that ecosystem there, that will help you not jump on a shiny object. That'll help you appreciate somebody else because we do, we have that thing of like, well, look at what you're doing. I want to be doing that. So maybe I should do what you do. But that's their magic. You have to find your own magic. And I think when you take the time to figure out what your own magic is and then believe in that, then it's easier to stay the course. And that is just a critical component that I think is missing is people do see other things and you don't want to want what somebody else has. Nobody wants to want other people's things, but you want it for yourself, it's like you can have it for yourself. We all can have it for ourselves. I believe that in my soul. And I think what keeps us from doing that is because we are trying to do it someone else's way, and we don't take the time to figure out what is our way, where, how do we shine specifically in our own universe? And figuring that out is just is so critical. I can't, you can't not do that, and that may change you know, over time. That because we change all the time, and I think not being afraid of that, not rushing to it, like you know, that that becomes all of a sudden and becomes a no-shiny object if you're changing all the time. But understanding that as you figure out who you are, and then you start moving in that direction, and then as you learn and you grow and you absorb new things, you become you start to become more of who you are, and then you might want to change a little bit, and that's okay, because you want to stay caught up to the person you are constantly becoming, because we are always becoming. I think that's also something that's really important. So I think so. I will say pause and figure out who you are.
SPEAKER_03Exactly. And and you know, the to reiterate the point on the cost, like if I had to give up my example, uh, earlier this year, the kind of work I was doing, which was uh like more of a consult consultant work, like a fractional CMO, but it was always serving somebody in front who what they needed, and it was not aligning with me because many times people can have demands which are like a bit outrageous. I mean, like you know, you've never been on the face of the internet as a company, but the day one you go, you want like you know, 100 leads popping up for you. Like, how does that work, right? Like you can have an outrageous demand, and I could be sitting there trying to explain the entire marketing 101 for you. But that's when I realized that the cost of not building my own brand's strategy and perception is making me sit in the wrong rooms, speaking to the wrong people. Yes, and like at the end of the day, the net cost of this overwhelm and this chaos was that I was disappointed in myself. And I speak about it on stages now because I want this message out there that the more you are not doing the work, as you said, understanding yourself, who are you are becoming, what is it? I can still serve that guy, make a marketing plan, start everything for him. Okay, yes, you know, this couldn't there could be a result, not result, like that's a journey you're willing to take as a as a as somebody who does this work. Or I had to go inwards and understand what I wanted for myself. Like I wanted to work with purpose-driven uh, you know, brand owners who are creating brand clarity for themselves while helping who they are impacting. So I'm I'm really, you know, inquisitive that when people there are there are business owners who are operating from this mindset of whatever comes my way, I'll do it because there's this resistance towards learning more about yourself. So do you think there are some red flags that should pop up in your head when you realize you're not doing the work and you're sitting in the wrong rooms, having the wrong conversations, frustrated while being a solopreneur, which is like what you you know, it's like a coveted thing that you wanted. You wanted freedom, you wanted to be your own boss, and yet here you are, you know, having all this chaos in front of you. So please, I really want you to like share something so that people who are listening know that these are the red flags.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, you know, you said something, and I'm gonna get to that. That was really good. And I feel like saying yes to the wrong things keeps you from saying yes to the right things, and you find yourself in this energy when you just say yes to anything, and I know it is so tempting as a solopreneur, especially when you're new and your business is growing, you want to take on every single dollar. And I'm not saying that every client, every customer has to be perfect because that's just not realistic. But when you take on something that is not aligned, the energy suck, the time spent, everything that just will drain you, it's not worth it. And it's so hard to get to that point to be able to get to that powerful no, but you have to get there and you have to have so much trust and faith in who you are, who you're serving, what you're doing, yeah. To trust that and that doesn't happen very often, right? You're not gonna have to do a bunch of no's. It might be one no every blue moon because most people are decent people and most clients are good clients, but then but you know in your soul when that wrong one shows up. You just you feel it, but then the money will be in front of you. Just saying that don't you want this money? Don't you just look at it? Like, I do want that good money, but the reality is you don't want the misery that comes with it. And so I think probably one of the first red flags is yourself and how you feel inside. When you feel that, whether however you feel things in your body and your mind, that little twinge of this doesn't feel right, follow that. Okay, follow that for sure. And I also think that you know, when working with people, so I'm gonna bring this back to what you do for a second, okay, because branding is so important, and not just, you know, you know this, obviously. Just the colors and the fonts and the logos, all that all the stuff is pretty. I love that stuff.
SPEAKER_00Yeah.
SPEAKER_01It's pretty. I love that stuff. Who doesn't? It's more, but it's more than that. It's who you are. It's the soul of your business. It's who you serve. What is your mission? What are your values? And so when you know that, when you've taken the time to really know that, because I know for a fact this is my second business. And at first, I'll be honest, I thought, oh my God, I have to put together put together my mission, my vision.
SPEAKER_00Yeah.
SPEAKER_01Who my client is. It's just, it just, it's a pain to do. I mean, it's part of it that's kind of fun to see like we know what you're about and all these things, but it just takes up time when you really want to just be selling.
SPEAKER_00Yeah.
SPEAKER_01Like this back, this back of house stuff. You're like, who wants to spend time on that? But when it happens, questions will come up. Right. Things come up and you're like, well, I feel like that's within my values, but is it really right there? And there might be things that feel so obvious to you when you start out.
SPEAKER_00Yeah.
SPEAKER_01And when things start coming your way, they kind of blur the lines a little bit. It could be as simple as, you know, my primary, I primarily serve women in business.
SPEAKER_00Yes.
SPEAKER_01And so if a man comes up, do I say no? You know, what what does that look like? Um and I'll be honest, I haven't been faced with that. But I don't want to say no, but also I know I but but also I feel like because I've taken the time, I realize my magic is in serving women. That's where I do my best work.
SPEAKER_00Yeah.
SPEAKER_01And I can help anybody.
SPEAKER_00Yeah.
SPEAKER_01I know that. I've worked with men my entire career. I have helped many men, and I can do it, but that's not where I glow.
SPEAKER_00Yeah.
SPEAKER_01You know, and that's not where I feel fulfilled. And I'll be honest, I want to help other people, but I don't feel good about it too. Yeah. So I think little things like that are really important. So for figuring out what that is, so when things come your way, and then you can know in the back, and when you know deep in your soul who you are, who you serve, what your brand is, what your brand represents, when things come that aren't aligned, you know that's an automatic no.
SPEAKER_03No, I think it's really easy for you. Exactly. This this ability to say no because it's not aligned, and you're not, and I understand the value of revenue and you have revenue goals, and you know, right now you probably are at that stage of your business where right now you cannot make the choice because you know it's it's the need of the hour, but to have that big bigger vision where you know that uh today I am like doing XYZ because I need to, you know, make my ends meet or you know, the revenue that is required to run your business. But as you grow, as you and start getting more clarity on who you serve, what do you why did you even create this brand in the first place, right? Because I mean, honestly, if it's just about the money, you can like just work at McDonald's, right? Like I'm just saying, you know, if it's really just about the money, then there are so many ways of doing it. So many ways, they're so much easier, so many easier exactly, right? Like, I just I really want someone to come back to this question. Is it just about the money? Because I feel the overwhelming chaos sometimes is centered with that. I am doing a I am I'm in business, business should be profitable, otherwise, why I'm here. But I want to like flip that and I want to ask that if it's just about profitable business or money, then there are many ways to do it. So now that you're here and you're choosing this path to make money, don't you think you are wanting to now create a bigger landscape, which is beyond profits, which is beyond just money. It's purpose, it's it's creating something that the end receiver, your audience, is actually thankful for. Like, if I look at the work you do, Derry, like you've already worked in the corporate, you know, you know what it takes, and you don't have to do all these other things, but I think it's about you aligning with that bigger purpose that you want other women to feel the joy and ease when when they have clarity. So, so if there is a way for people to understand that the over overwhelm and chaos is somewhat aligned to these societal pressures of being a businesswoman who needs to be profitable and successful, otherwise, like, what the hell are you doing? So, like, isn't that something that is a work to be done internally or with an accountability partner?
SPEAKER_01For sure. The pressures of what the world tells you is right will really get you into overwhelm.
SPEAKER_03Yeah.
SPEAKER_01You know, keeping up with everybody else and their ideas of the of who you should be, what you should be doing. And I think a lot of what happens often is you know, we don't get a lot of support. We get support within this community of entrepreneurial women.
SPEAKER_00Yeah.
SPEAKER_01But outside of that, people think it's our little project or a little side gig, or you know, they don't understand. And say look at you and they wonder how long you're gonna how long is gonna work. If I see people out sometimes and I tell them I'm doing well, they're like, oh, they are flabbergasted. You know, when I was in corporate America, it was expected, of course. Like you're in corporate America, you have this big, this big fancy title. Yeah, let me tell you, and I love my fancy title. That was hard to let go of that. You know, I left to be like, oh, I'm no longer this, you know, big fancy title, but it's just a title. Yeah, I wasn't making an impact. And I want to make impact. That is what lights me up. And I think people need to understand that. And I think you said it so often, overwhelm comes because you are spinning and your focus is on making money and achieving whatever that dream is that somebody else has sold you. Not your own dream. What do you want? What makes you feel good? And you're not making an impact. And so when you get lost and overwhelmed and you're spinning and not sure where to go, also what happens is you forget your why. Yeah. What am I doing this for? Why am I working so hard when when I'm just trying to make some money to pay my bills, but it's more than that. Yeah. You your why will carry you through. When I wake up every day and I may go, I'll be honest, I don't get sales every day. That would be great if I did. It's not happening, but I believe in what I'm doing. I know because I talk to I talk to people who could who could be my clients all the time. And so I know there are women out there who need to be helped and supported, and they need to feel held. And so I get up every day thinking, not thinking, knowing they're out there, I just need to reach them. Yeah, I just need to make sure they can hear it because when you understand that you can come out of that and you can feel free and peaceful and love what you do and know you are making an impact, that's the ultimate win. Like that's that's what it's about. Like when you help a client, you know, some people they just you know, I don't want to shade anybody. I hate doing that. But some people they do, they just want to make, you know, they just want to make the money. They do, they just want to bring the money in, turn them out, and go. And you know, of course I want to make money. Exactly. Like I really love this. I hate the conversation of like, well, you want to make money? Of course I want to make money. I feel like that conversation does not need to be said, need to be had. Is that silly to me? We feel like, well, you can't say you want to.
SPEAKER_03I mean and we're not saying that at all. I mean we're not saying that at all. Like that's as you correctly said, that's not part of the conversation, right? It's just not, it's not that goes without saying.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, that's what's free. Like, I'm not there. If I was a billionaire, maybe I would, you know, then then because I don't need more money. I can start giving it away. But I'm not so I need to make money, I gotta take care of my bills. But I want to feel good about it. When I'm out here in the world, I want to feel like, and yeah, maybe it's a little bit of ego in helping other people, right? But I'm like, that that kind of ego is the kind you want to have.
SPEAKER_03Yeah, exactly.
SPEAKER_01I feel good. I am helping people live their best lives. Oh, I oh my gosh, Terry, goosebumps. Businesses that impact the world that feel good, so they can have time with their friends and their family, and they can shine and glow and have rest. Like, yeah, come on, let's do that. Let's do that, 100%. Let's do that.
SPEAKER_03So I feel like, yeah, I mean this is the shift, Terry. This is the shift. This is the shift that we need to look at over and with. You start coming to being a business owner or a solopreneur with this idea that this is going to be easier, more freedom, more everything than what you had in whatever you were doing previously, but reality hits fast. And and when it does hit you, is when you realize that okay, and the shiny syndrome comes in, and then, like, okay, maybe I do that, I'm successful. Maybe I do that, I'm successful. And I think the shift is focusing your why. That's the shift. That's the shift. Why did you make that shift? Why did you move to this particular, you know, way of doing things? Why did you create this X product product? You know, maybe it's a candle, maybe it's, I don't know, like, you know, any any any other thing that you're doing, you're a service, like accountability partner. Like there is a why to why you did this particular thing. And the more you focus and zero in on that, I think the overwhelm kind of has loses its power on you slowly, but it does.
SPEAKER_01It does, it really does. And you know, the immediate there is there's like a longer path to the relief, right? Because you have to unwind so much. But there is immediate relief when you realize, when you sit down, you spend an hour and a half, maybe two hours, and you sit down and you say, Okay, this is all that's going on. Yeah, it's all I have happening, and this is where I want to go. And then you kind of dissect what's working, what's not, what can be let go, what can be paused, and what needs to be prioritized.
SPEAKER_00Yeah.
SPEAKER_01All of a sudden you do get some instant relief because you realize, oh, I'm making this way harder than it has to be. Yeah. You know, and then you start to come back to yourself and coming back again to your why. And I think it's just important. And I have definitely found clients where sometimes they haven't spent any time on their why. Yeah, you know, sometimes they're just running and gunning so fast that they don't have time to stop and or or they thought, excuse me, they didn't have time to stop and say, wait, what am I doing this for? What was what was the purpose? Like it was there back, it was there. Yeah. I had it before, but I forgot. I forgot. Yeah. I forgot. And so when you have a document, you know, back to branding. When you have that document and you take the time to figure that out and put it back, you can go back to that. When you're spiraling, you can go back. It's kind of like you can go back to your branding, you can back go back to your plan, you can get you can recenter yourself.
SPEAKER_03Exactly.
SPEAKER_01Keep going.
SPEAKER_03It's so important because I mean, the world will make you think every day that you are losing not fast enough, not good enough, not you know, everything, not rich enough. But if your why and like you do it with founders and I do it for their brand, they both are aligned because the founder's why is the brand's why, you know? Yes, yeah, because it's it's the founder's vision, which is why the brand exists. And the more clearer the founder is on the vision, the resonance in the brand and the way it is showing up is is spectacularly clear. So I think that's the message that our episode kind of gives out to all the solopreneurs who are listening to this that you are overwhelmed, and that's a human thing to happen because you are doing something which is out of the regular, you know, things that people do. It's gonna be hard, but like there is a way to take the power back to you know to just follow your why and and get grounded and centered in that.
SPEAKER_01Yes, you do not have to live that way. Like that does not have to be a way of life. And I feel like that happens where you're like, well, this is the way it is. Like life is just hard. I'm overwhelmed. And look, do you see why I have my plate? I have all these things going on, and I disagree. I just might disagree too. I disagree, and I was definitely there. There was a time when I was part of a mastermind a while ago, and I would show up to the meetings, and every single time I would tell them how hard it was. Yeah, I was like, I'm so busy, I just don't have time, and I believed that in my soul. I did. I was I mean, I said it and I meant it, I believed it. And at some point I realized I was lying to myself. I was almost wearing overwhelm as like a badge of honor. Look at how much I do. Yeah. Look at me. I am busy, I am hustling, I am doing all the things, there is no more time. Let me tell you, that is not a flex. It's just not. It's just not and you get yourself there, and then we start coming out of that, and you realize, oh, I'm overwhelmed because I'm not making time and I'm spending my time on the wrong things. Yeah, it is such a relief to be able to realize you can say no with ease. You don't have to do it all. It is this feeling, it's just like no. Not now. Oh my gosh, Daddy. It is just it's so amazing, and I feel like yeah, overwhelm shouldn't be a way of life. It doesn't have to be and I'm not saying your life isn't stressful, I'm not saying you have a lot going on. I will never tell somebody that I will never tell you. All I'm saying is spend a little time. Yeah, spend a little time looking a little deeper and finding a little space here and there. I've worked with some of the most we went with multiple businesses with all the stuff happening. And we work together and all of a sudden we find the time, and that is the magic. And a lot of it is figuring out what is it that you want. Yeah, what are you trying, what kind of life are you trying to live? What kind of business do you want? And what kind of personal life do you want? Because they go together. Yeah, trying to separate those as an entrepreneur, as a solopreneur is not a thing. It's not they blend. Yeah, I know people are like, leave, leave your work at the door. That doesn't work in our world.
SPEAKER_03No, I hear you. I I I hope everyone who's listening understands. I love what you said. Say no with ease. Like, just imagine how much power and how much strength that takes to say saying no with ease. Like that's a different level of mindset and a different level of clarity you've come to achieve by saying that. And I love and I would love to end the episode at that thought. Say no with ease.
