What is good, everyone? Welcome into My Name Creators, episode number four, man. Have a very exciting episode for us today, as we're going to be, I mean, maybe creating controversy here with naming the best WWE figure playset of all time. We're going to be going through our first ever bracket and breaking it down round by round. We've created a we've created seeds and everything. We'll get into that in just a moment, but let's bring in my buddy Nate over here. How are we doing? How are we feeling today?
SPEAKER_02What's up, guys? Happen to be here. Uh, I just came back from Las Vegas for WrestleMania. We had that episode last week that didn't come out on the specific day, Wednesday. So you're getting an earlier episode from us this week. But yeah, I'm a little bit under the weather after that, you know, vacation sickness. So hopefully I don't sound too bad here. But this bracket is going to be awesome. I love playsets. I've used a lot of play sets, filming action figure matches. So this is going to be very interesting. And I think my ideas of what's going to win this might clash with Trey's here. So let's get into it. What do you think?
SPEAKER_00Yeah, man. Let's uh let's transition here to our bracket. We're gonna bring it up right here so you guys can see. So this is our bracket, all right? 20 different play sets. We kind of went through, we went through wrestling figure database. We kind of, you know, compiled it, figured it out. We think we have the top 20 playsets ever. We probably we probably I'm gonna be honest, we probably missed one or two that maybe should be in here. And we probably could have compiled a play, you know, a uh a play set bracket of all of them, but we felt like we wanted to kind of narrow it down to maybe the top 20 ever or top 25 or whatever. So we have the top 20 here, and it has been seeded. We've tried to seed it the best we can. You guys can see. So if you can look all the way over here to the left, it says play-in round, and we have kind of our play-in matchups. If you guys have ever watched March Madness, you ever watch, you know, college basketball in March Madness. You know, you have those play-in games. Kind of have some play-in games over here, and then it transitions into our round of 16, where we'll have the the top seed versus, you know, the winner of some of those play-ins. And, you know, the top four seeds here, they get to play winners of the play-in games. And then it essentially goes into a classic bracket. So then you get the quarterfinals, the semifinals, the finals. And in post, I am going to be putting this up. And you audio listeners, you can either Google it yourself or you can go check out the YouTube copy of this because we're gonna, of course, break it down. But as we talk about these, I'm gonna put the matchups on screen. So don't worry about it. I will make sure that you guys know exactly what we're talking about when we're talking about it. And then we also have our phones off screen to make sure that we can include all the details, man. But I'm excited, man. We got some good stuff right here. This is how we're starting off our episode with this playset bracket to officially name the best WWE action figure playset of all time. Should be enjoyable. You have anything to add before we dive into this first round?
SPEAKER_02Well, there's one thing that we should note. We are not including stages, and we're not including vehicles. Correct. So there have been some great stage playsets. There have been some fantastic vehicle playsets, especially from Mattel over the recent years, but we're leaving that out and we're going straight for, you know, stuff you can use in the arena, accessories to the ring, backstage, sorts of things. So that's what we're going with here.
SPEAKER_00Yeah, I'm glad you added that because I completely forgot about that. We're not so when you think of the Titantron live stage, or you think of some of those cool SmackDown stages we got, if you think of, you know, some of the Mattel ones with the breakaway pieces and even the wrecking slam vehicles, all those that there's a lot of really great things that we didn't include here today that probably would have expanded. But me and him got into the kind of conversation leading up to this episode. It's kind of hard to compare a Titentron live stage to a slambulence because I think that there's just a lot that goes into that. A lot of these today are similar, at least in variety. I feel like a vehicle versus a stage, you're getting two different types of playability there. And we we just wanted maybe one day we can do, you know, all vehicles. Maybe we can do all stages and stuff like that. But yeah, man, I'm I'm excited. This this seems fun. We're gonna get into it. Uh, I'm I'm ready to start if you are. Let's do it. All right, man. So let's do it. The first play-in game is going to be the Ambrose Asylum, the Mattel Basic Ambrose Asylum. I believe this was Toys O R Us exclusive, if I'm not mistaken. I remember seeing this on the aisles. And this one is going head to head. It's the 13 seed, battling it out with the Create a Superstar Ring from Mattel. Now, I have personally never purchased this. You did mention that you filmed a match with this. You have uh experience with that?
SPEAKER_02Yes, so I bought it last year. This came out in like 2015, I believe. I bought it last year because I think it's a really cool play set where you can manipulate it and change it into all sorts of different variations of a ring. Now, you don't have any of these, these playsets here?
SPEAKER_00So I do not have either of these. However, I I feel like I have a pretty good grasp of what they are. You know, I I have seen some videos with them. I I think I know the kind of uh ins and outs of these, but I think I know where I'm leaning here, but I I don't know what what are we thinking here? I mean, Ambrose Asylum, Ambrose Asylum, it's a it's a basic steel cage for a basic ring. You know, it is just basic, it's not up to scale or anything, but you know, you get a slew of really cool accessories, some things we really haven't even seen again, I think. So, I mean, there's some cool stuff in there, but uh I think I know where I'm going here. Where you want to go ahead and get into the boat?
SPEAKER_02Well, let's describe some of this. So the Ambrose Asylum, it's a steel cage, but it's got this thing over the top with a bunch of hooks that hold all these accessories, which is really cool. Has the Ambrose Asylum like sign for his like little uh he did a little talk show back in the day, got Mitch the potted plant, it's got that little uh stool there for that, got a stop sign, a belt, which is insane, like a little strap belt, which is really cool. We've never seen that again. It's got a mop, it's got non-chucks. I don't think we've ever seen non-chucks again.
SPEAKER_00That's a really cool accessory. Yeah, it's it's pretty crazy. Like you don't really think about how much this thing came with. I think we might have gotten a battle pack that had that Ambrose Asylum thing, the little background yeah, Titan Troll thing. Yeah, I was thinking that we did, and then the strait jacket. We never saw a straitjacket except for with Scott Steiner, literally like last year. So I mean, and I know it's like brand, I don't think it's this same kind of strait jacket. So this set was packing some heat, man. There's a lot in here. You even have like the Ambrose Asylum story, and you know, with Chris Jericho, and you got Mitch to plant. So there's a lot of fun stuff right here, man. Pretty cool stuff, and then the creative superstar ring does have some really cool playabilities with it. I like how you can kind of create it into its own scaffold, pretty much. Like it's kind of it's kind of uh there's a lot to do there. And the create a superstar whole entire concept was pretty fun for the time. Remember those packs that would come with different, you know, different, you know, access. They'd have like a rock one and a Bray Wyatt one and a John Cena one. They would come with accessories, you never got in the line again.
SPEAKER_02Yeah, I recently bought a bunch to like use in like my multiverse matches and stuff. They're pretty cool, they're a little flimsy and stuff, like kind of cheap feeling. I guess I guess they're old now too. But yeah, it was a really cool line, and this ring is really cool. Now, the Ambrose Asylum, you might want to just buy purely for the accessories, but this this created superstar ring, I think would be really fun, especially for the kids to do all sorts of cool matches with it. My experience filming with it, I filmed a match last year with it, and I had the scaffolding go all the way up and have the ring elevated. It was very flimsy to be filming in it, to be honest. And it has this like kind of diamond plated like ring mat, which is really weird. Like the figures won't stand on it, it'll kind of like slide off. So that's a bit annoying. So yeah, it is a little flimsy. Uh it's a small ring.
SPEAKER_00It's it's weird, it's kind of like a it's like a modern take on the on the like the ultimate X kind of right. It I mean, it kind of has that little deal that goes over the top. I mean, it's it's cool, I like it, but I don't know. What what do you think? You want to get into our vote here? You want to vote?
SPEAKER_02Yeah, I'll go ahead and vote. Uh all things considered, I think what is the most fun? Like this this can be for all ages, but I'm just thinking about you know, young me, what would I have the most fun with? I would say the creative superstar ring, that's what I'm going with here. My vote. What about you?
SPEAKER_00Wow, I was gonna go Ambrose Asylum. I was actually gonna go to Ambrose Asylum. So I don't know. I like I'm I'm trying to make a case here. I just think that I don't I don't know. I guess you get you do get a lot of variety with the creative superstar ring, but Ambrose Asylum, and you got so many really cool accessories and you get a figure with it. I'd like to know I'd like to know what the what the price point for these was. I feel like that could possibly play a role. I don't remember off rip. I would imagine that that rent the Ambrose Asylum had to be what 50, 60 bucks at least. 60 bucks probably. Um, and maybe I'm sure some people can let us know down in the comment section what these went for. That created a superstar ring, I bet was 25 bucks, maybe 20 bucks, honestly. Because it does I think I'm you know, I don't know, maybe I'm wrong, but interesting.
SPEAKER_02But yeah, we gotta break this tie. Basically, uh in my mind, when I'm thinking about a play set, I'm not thinking about like okay, you're buying it just for the accessories. Like, what are you gonna have the most fun with? What can you do the most with creatively? I think that's where it's at with the create a superstar ring. I think there's more you can do with it if you want to get creative with your figures.
SPEAKER_00Is it spring loaded?
SPEAKER_02No, not really.
SPEAKER_00No, okay. Ambrose Asylum comes with spring loaded ring. But do you like spring loaded? Well, I mean, it gives it's it's just a play feature. It's just a play, it also has collapsible cage panels, so it you can bust out the room. That is good too. Yeah, you got the hooks at the top, and you can use that for the weapons that it comes with, or you can put your own damn weapons up there.
SPEAKER_02You can.
SPEAKER_00I don't know.
SPEAKER_02There's so much more matches you can do with this. You can create your own matches here.
SPEAKER_00Uh I mean, I I don't know. I'll I'll give it to you here. I'm gonna give it to you here. I'll let you, I'll let you slide with your create a superstar ring. It's going to move on. Now, the way that the bracket's set up, we have to look at it here because the create a superstar ring will now move on. It doesn't go to that that number one right there. It's actually gonna move on to the backstage bra right there in the four seed. So the winner of this matchup goes to play the four seed, which we'll get into in a moment. We're moving on to round uh or our second matchup, which is gonna be the behind the scenes bra from Mattel versus the Jax backstage mayhem. So Jax backstage mayhem, we're gonna put up the graphics so you guys can see here. So the Jax backstage mayhem, that is gonna be the entrance set that it has the vending machine, it has that exit door, it's got the crash-through wall. And then on the other side, I'll try to put in images. On the other side, it has a toilet and like a bathroom, and it's got a ladder. It also has like some things that the superstars can stand on on the top of it, which I think is interesting. So that is uh that's a that's a fun feature there. And then you do have the other side of the coin, which is the behind-the-scenes bra, which is going to be one of those really cheap playsets that I think it was Kmart exclusive, if I'm not mistaken. You can correct me if I'm wrong. May not have been. Yeah, I believe it was Kmart. Yeah, yeah. So this comes with, you know, like the background. It's got the camera, it comes with some uh some barrels, it comes with a couple lights. It's a pretty it's a pretty cool thing. It's like kind of a a cheap little I mean, I mean, I don't think it has, yeah, it doesn't have like workable lights or anything, it's just plastic background. But I think it it would also what you could use this today.
SPEAKER_02I feel like you, I mean you could use them both today, but I mean I still use it to this day. Out of the two playsets here, I have this one. I bought in uh Toys of Russ in like 2015. It wasn't as cheap as you uh saying here. I think it was like 60 bucks Australian back then. Oh, I don't think so. I think it was cheap, man. I feel like I could be wrong. No, but like for me, it was expensive. Maybe in the US it was ex it was cheap, but yeah, yeah. Breaking these down, what do you think has the most value for someone? You do you have any of these?
SPEAKER_00Yeah, I have owned both of these. I've owned both of these. I currently do not have either of them, though. I think I don't know what happened. They may be buried somewhere. I haven't used them in a long time, but as a kid, I loved the Jax one. I I just love the the grunginess of it. I love having the breakaway wall, the exit door, the vending machine. You get the toilet. Just really fun. I just feel like there's so much fun there. And then of course the the interview area or the backstage, you know, the interview, what behind the scenes brawl is what they called it. I think it's fun too. I just think you're you're a little bit more limited in my opinion, but it does come with some really cool accessories. I and I think that it's a pretty universal thing you could use. Um, I don't know. What do you what are you thinking here? I I think that both of them do add they they have good value. I think you get good value out of out of the both, but I I already know what I'm voting. Do you know what you're voting?
SPEAKER_02Yeah, I think you know, with the behind the scenes brawl, I think the selling point is really that interview area. I think it is a really cool piece that like you might want if you do like photography or you know, action figure fetting, you might want that for your figures, but it's pretty bare bones, to be honest. You know, besides that, it's pretty bare bones. I think I haven't actually purchased this uh Jax mayhem, but it looks incredible.
SPEAKER_00I don't know if that uh that vending machine, I don't know, it kind of looks short, but it it was it was undersized, it was undersized for the time, especially like with Jax figures, but to this day it holds up pretty damn good. It's it's a pretty it's still it's it's very memorable too. Uh it's just an it low-key, it may be an all-timer kind of like in my brain. Like that's what I think of. Like, I think when people think of Jax playsets, this is one of the more memorable ones, I think.
SPEAKER_02Yeah, just looking at it, like if I was to purchase that, I could definitely use that filming that today, put someone through that wall, put their head through that little what is that, a fire break glass in case of emergency. That's pretty cool. The door there. I think I'm gonna go with the Jax mayhem on this one. Yeah, 100%, 100%.
SPEAKER_00I think it clears. And the behind the scenes brawl one's fun. And I liked, dude, I wish that, and we're gonna get into this later in the episode because we have a whole discussion. Our discussion topic for today, if people didn't know, is gonna be what play sets play sheds, play sets should Mattel make? What what are these things that we're missing? And I think that that's just oh, interview background. That's so cheap to make that you three you could literally 3D print a background, put a logo on it, and bam, ship it out. I feel like that's just so cheap, but maybe I don't know, maybe I don't know, ball. I just feel like that's such a layup. But yeah, I I think Jax wins this round. They do. Okay, so Jax Backstage Mayhem wins that. So that Jax backstage playset will move on to play the three seed, which is gonna be another backstage Brawl Jax playset, which would should be a fun one when we get there. But let's move on to the next one. And our next play-in round is going to be the ringside battle Mattel ring playset versus the money in the bank playset from Mattel. So this one, this one's kind of a fun one, okay? So ringside battle, I think these are kind of underrated. They have they have released a few different versions of this, to be fair. They have released multiple versions, they have released um, you know, these different things. That's kind of a basic ring. It comes with, I think, part of a barricade. It comes with uh, you know, weapons accessories. In this case, it comes with Daniel Bryan, an announce table, a stretcher, you get the ring bell, a lot of fun stuff. You get you get some fun stuff, and you have the spring-loaded ring. And then on the other side of the coin, and it's going to be the money in the bank play set that kind of features it's kind of a modern take or a more modern take on the Jack's Money in the Bank set where you have these kind of stilts that hold up the money in the bank briefcase. And then I think it comes with a couple ladders, and it does come with the ring that also includes the money in the bank briefcase and Ziggler. So this is a Toys of Us exclusive, I do believe. And it was pretty damn big. I remember the structure being quite tall and stuff like that. What do you think?
SPEAKER_02Yeah, that money in the bank playset. Looking at it, I've never owned it, but like you could make a pretty sweet deadly games, probably with that. Maybe I should maybe I should try and buy that. But uh, I don't like how it doesn't go behind the posts and it like, you know, it gets in the way of the ring a little bit in terms of like, you know, if you want to play with the figures in the ring, it's kind of in the way. It's that's a little in the way, yeah, right. And especially like upcoming the Money in the Bank Jax one, that does a better job than this one does. The ringside battle, I think you get a lot of value here. You get the barricades, even though the Mattel barricades were never that great, it's still really cool to have. You get uh announces table, which is kind of rare. You don't often get announces tables, and you get the chairs, you get the stretcher, you don't often get a stretcher, so that's really cool, and a bunch of other accessories too, like weapons and things. So it's kind of difficult, you know. Uh, do you want the accessories or do you want the playability of the money in the bank and just have something holding up your championship or your briefcase?
SPEAKER_00Yeah, it is kind of tough. It's really tough. And I just read here it that actually comes with three ladders. So you get the ring, you get three ladders, you get a money in the bank briefcase, you get the structure, and you get a Dolph Ziggler. A pretty pretty good value, especially. And I'm again, I wish I had the price points on these. Maybe somebody can help us out down in the comment section or hit us up. But I I don't know, like the the ringside battle one also comes with a lot of value. So you get you both of them come with a ring, both of them come with a figure. And so then you're kind of matched up with okay, is announce table, uh, the little uh my mind's going blank, the monitors, the stop sign, the stretcher, the trash can, the chair, the ring bell, the fire extinguisher, is all of that equivalent to three ladders and that structure? Which one do you kind of value more? Oh man, this one's actually I'm actually kind of torn on this one myself. Yeah, I'm actually torn on this one myself. Do you have a definitive answer?
SPEAKER_02Are you still kind of working through it? It's hard because I don't have the money in the bank to know like if it's fun to play with, but you know what? I'm probably gonna lean towards money in the bank purely because it's great to have ladders. You know, you don't often get ladders with the figures, so to have some ladders to have something to hold the briefcase to get a briefcase as well. I think that's a lot of fun. So that's probably giving it the edge in this round for me. What do you think?
SPEAKER_00Yeah, it's it's tough too. I mean, I guess you could like I hate that it says money in the bank on the on that little banner. Maybe that's a sticker. I don't know. Like, I mean, I guess again, you could use it for anything. You could use it for it. If you want to customize it, yeah, you could customize it, you can just slap something onto it, you know. 100%, yeah, 100%. You could uh I don't know. I'm also like, is this just like a I'm what I'm guessing, I'm just guessing on this. I'm guessing, and somebody can let me know again, it's like the legs. I'm guessing they port together, and then it's just like kind of like a tripod that sits over the ring, right? Like it doesn't connect to the ring. That's what I'm guessing, at least.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, it looks that way.
SPEAKER_00I don't know. I think uh yeah, I I think I'm gonna give the nod to Money in the Bank. I think I'm giving the nod to the Money in the Bank just because I I just love the and even Jack's had a lot of these that we didn't even include, I don't think, in the bracket where you have these kind of structures that tie together over the ring, and it like I don't know, it just makes your setup more epic, and you don't always have to just use it for this. You could use it as part of your stage. Like there's some fun stuff there that you can kind of you know use. But I'm giving the edge to money in the bank, so you voted money in the bank. Yep. So money in the bank, okay. Money in the bank is beating ringside battle, and it will move on to play who? It's gonna take on, let's see, where's that at? The okay, jack's hell in a sale, real scale in the next round. So uh all right, we're down to our last play-in game. Our last play-in game here is gonna be the Jax Punjabi Prison versus the Ultimate X playset from Figures Toy Company. This one's interesting, man. So of course, Punjabi Prison. Punjabi prison is Punjabi Prison. Now, I know about the real thing, right? The real thing wasn't the best, kind of limited. I feel like in figure form, you got you can get a little bit more creative, and also this thing's gigantic. I remember I've seen it multiple times. I don't think I ever owned it personally, but I've seen it multiple times. It's pretty damn big.
SPEAKER_02Yeah, I've never owned the Punjabi prison personally, I've always wanted it, it looks really cool. I do have the Ultimate X, and I've purchased so many of those just for the scaffolding to use on my stage and to make a deadly game as well. So I really value that Ultimate X. And I've done some Ultimate X matches on my channel as well, and it's it's very well done. Like now, it does like kind of like lean up against the the post. It's not like super sturdy in terms of like you know, holding the weight of the figures and whatnot, but it gets the job done. And if you want an ultimate X playset, I think it's very good and it's very versatile in what you can do with the structure. Now, the Punjabi prison, if you're like, let's say you're a kid and you're playing with it, how much playability are you gonna get with a Punjabi prison as opposed to you know other play sets? What do you think? Yeah, it's totally.
SPEAKER_00Because yeah, you have the like the big wooden structures are great. You can jump off of it, you can slam people into it, and you could use the Punjabi prison as a part of your stage. You could do that. You could it would look really sweet, like actually, because it's really big. Like I said, it's massive. Like it's like if you walk into a room, that outer wall is huge in comparison with that inner wall. So I don't know that that makes it really tough here. And I don't think it can't. Did it come with a ring too? It came with the ring. It came with the ring, yeah. Yeah, it has the ring. And it can't it came with Batista and Great Kali. Wow. Yeah, over 15 inches tall. Hmm. Double cage. I don't know, man. I don't know.
SPEAKER_02This is kind of a tricky one. It's tough.
SPEAKER_00Yeah, this one's different.
SPEAKER_02I think they're both valuable.
SPEAKER_00Yeah, that also the those scaffolding pieces are pretty like for what it is, it is kind of it's pretty expensive, I'm gonna be honest. Like the the ultimate. Yeah, I think um, well, I guess it depends if you get it with the ring or not. I think if you just buy the scaffolding pieces with those ropes, probably not as bad. Yeah, it's it's not as bad. But you can't there is an option where you can buy it with the ring. Um, and I do like that ring, but if we're just going based on the structure, geez, man, I really I don't know where I'm going with this one. Do you have a solidified choice or are you still kind of working through it?
SPEAKER_02Uh, it's tough because it's like, what would you rather have? And like, yeah, the Punjabi prison is spectacular looking and awesome, but it's also like unless you're super creative and you're loving it and you're using it for like all sorts of figures, unless you want to do a bunch of great Kali matches with it, like you know, you're not gonna get much use out of it, I feel yeah.
SPEAKER_00The more the more I the more I think about it, I I think I think I'm going Ultimate X just for simply just the different, I don't know, like it just adds a lot more variety. I think, uh, and I think that the Punjabi prison is awesome in its own right, but I think I think personally, I think I'm going Ultimate X. I think I'm going Ultimate X.
SPEAKER_02Yeah, I think Ultimate X is the go. I'm going with Ultimate X on this one. I think, yeah, the versatility of it, you can use those scaffolding pieces for so many things, and Ultimate X is an awesome match. So if you set it up with your figures, you can have epic matches with that ultimate X playset. So I think that takes the win here.
SPEAKER_00Yeah, I think I agree with you. I think after thinking it through, but what if you don't?
SPEAKER_02I mean, I guess if you don't have a ring, I guess you could just buy and you can use it as like a money in the bank thing too, just hang titles from it.
SPEAKER_00Yeah, it goes back to the money in the bank thing, too. I think I think you just get more variety out of that ultimate X where you could have a contract up there, and you can do it, and I mean, I guess you could do that with the Punjabi, like, oh, you win this, you win the contract. You I mean, rip virtually you're playing with these figure sets, you could combine all of them to get you could have an ultimate Punjabi X match or something, if you want to, but uh yeah, I'm gonna give the nod to the Ultimate X. I guess the Ultimate X will move on. So I guess that gets us into our first round matchups for real now, and we're moving into our round of 16. So, and we're going straight to the ultimate X. And the Ultimate X, you beat the Punjabi prison, and you're your trophy essentially is to get to go one-on-one with the Jax Elimination Chamber real scale player. Oh so that's our next matchup. You have Jax real scale elimination chamber versus the ultimate X that we were just talking about. Brother, I hate to tell you, but uh yeah, that Jax Elimination Chamber is gonna beat that ultimate X. I don't even need to really discuss it that much.
SPEAKER_02It's funny, like I'm gonna get into this a little later, but I have a little bit of a different opinion than you probably do on this this chamber here. But I think yeah, the chamber definitely wins this round. Ultimate X is is great and yeah, versatile, and you can do so much stuff with it, but to have an a real scale elimination chamber of some sort, I think that definitely takes the win here.
SPEAKER_00Yeah, I don't think I and I I like that you're kind of giving me some foreshadowing there. It's gonna be interesting as we go because I I think I don't think that Jax Elimination Chamber is perfect by any stretch, right? I don't think it's perfect, and we'll get into this a little later. Yeah, but yeah, Jax Jax Elimination Chamber is gonna move on. I think I don't think Ultimate X, thank you for coming. You're not beating the real scale elimination chamber. So okay.
SPEAKER_02We got the Wicked Cool Toys Blue Cage, real scale, and we got the it's going up against the Mel Wargames basic play.
SPEAKER_00This one, this one may be a little bit more controversial than you you may think here. You got you got some you got some good stuff here. Now, obviously, you got you got there's like obviously the scale of the wicked cool toys blue cage is huge, right? It's it's obviously huge, it's gonna be great. You can have those classic matches. It also works as a great display item. I know this is more about play set ability, though. I feel I feel like this is more, you know, how much fun or what's the most awesome playset ever. You know, I'm I don't know, man. Let do you have any thoughts to write it off rip? Because I think I already know where I'm going.
SPEAKER_02Well, with the blue cage, like we didn't grow up during that era. We weren't alive during that era, so we don't have some sort of like sentimental like attachment to the blue cage, but like it's still really cool. So there's that and it's real scale. The war games play set, you know, we don't have an elite scale of war games just yet, but I filmed matches, or I think one at least in the war games play set, and it's a lot of fun. You know, you got the breakaway cage piece, you got you know, two rings, two cages. It's it's a lot of fun. Uh, yeah, the fact that it's basic does knock it down a little bit, but yeah, both of these are very good. So do you have uh have you decided on what you're gonna vote on here?
SPEAKER_00Yeah, I think I know what I'm gonna vote on. I'm just I'm just envisioning, man, if I was like eight years old and I unbought like obviously getting either of these would be so sick as a kid, like waking up on Christmas, but I unbox a damn war game set that's got two cages. Uh it's got tables and ladder or ladders and chairs in it as well. Yeah, brother. I'm I'm going I'm going war games. I I think the war games has got it's obviously not as big, it's not as grand, but it's got so much value packed in there. I I feel like I have to go war games. Yeah, I'm going war games too. Yeah, I'm going war games. War games. Yeah, dude. The war and don't get me wrong, again, the blue cage is spectacular, it really is. And there's a lot of playability there, all those things. But that war game set just and that's a really good matchup, too, because it's the eight-nine matchup. So you get, you know, the eight-nine matchup is always really difficult to kind of you know compare. But yeah, war games is getting the nod for me. He'll move on to the quarterfinals or they'll move on. I don't really know there. Uh, let's go back up to the top, I guess, and we'll go back and forth. So going back to the top, our two seed, the Jax, Hell in a Cell, Real Scale versus the Money in the Bank Mattel playset that we just talked about, kind of the stilts thing there with the money in the bank. Now, kind of have two different match types going on right here. You got plenty of playability to be had here. The jacks, hell in a cell, real scale. This is something that people still hunt down to the stay. Very similar to the Elimination Chamber, right? People hunt that thing down. They really want that. Um, they really want that uh, you know, they they want that grand hell in a sale, and we haven't really seen it since. Have you ever owned that hell in a cell? I do not believe so. I do not think I've ever owned that one. You're missing out, man.
SPEAKER_02That is peak. That is peak. When I was around eight years old, I got that from Toys of Ross. I still have it to this day. The ring that came with it was incredible. And, you know, the playset just it holds up to this day. It's still the best hell in a cell that we've gotten so far, I believe, in figure form. The size of it, it can work with like pretty much any ring now. It's it's big enough to fit any ring, and the playability is incredible. So, yeah, it is destroying the money in the bank playset. You know, it's you're just gonna have so much more fun with the hell in a cell.
SPEAKER_00Yeah, that's what I was uh that's what I was thinking, man. That's what I was thinking. I didn't think that um I didn't think that the money in the bank would really hold a candle. I've seen videos, I've seen photography, I've seen action figure matches, I've seen so many great things, and this is a set that I dream of having. It's always been on uh a bucket list of mine, you know, a wish list, fantasy list, whatever. 100% need that thing. Gotta track it down. So I'm most definitely going with the hell in a cell, man. It's I think it's one, it's an all-timer. That's why it's the two seed. It's it's one of the top ones. So, and I'm just noticing on our bracket right here, they kind of messed it up. Like, it looks like on screen that it's gonna be the elimination chamber versus the hell in a cell right here, but that's not the case. That's not how it's actually gonna unfold. It just looks that way. Um, in the quarterfinals, it'll actually be the one seed uh versus the that eight-nine that was down there. So we'll say we'll I'll make sure that it's right to our viewers as they're watching it. But let's get into our next matchup, which is going to be the WCW bash at the beach ring versus the Mattel basic elimination chamber from 2019. Now, this one this one's gonna be a damn, I don't even know, man. This one, this one's gotta uh this should be a fun, interesting scenario as we unfold here. What's your thoughts?
SPEAKER_02This one breaks my heart, to be honest. This is this is brutal. And yeah, so I filmed matches with both of these, these both have a a place in my heart. The WCW Bash of the Beach ring I grew up with. You know, my cousin was a collector of the WCW figures, and I used to play with that WCW ring in the bathtub. It's so much fun. There's so much you can do with it. I filmed two Royal Rumbles in the pool, brutal times doing so, but there's so much fun to be had with it. You know, you got the beach ball that launches up off the little catapult in the corner. You got a freaking slide attached to the ring that can just, you know, people take a take the slide down into the water, I guess. You got the life preserver out there, save your wrestles from drowning. You got this little thing that Sting hangs on from the top of the scaffolding there. You got a trapdoor on the ring and on the side, which is pretty cool. I used to love that as a kid. Throw people through the ring or just like press the button, trapdoor them, they go down, they're drowning, they're done. You got a little like water gun as well, which is insane. It's peak, it's peak, bro.
SPEAKER_00Like, have you ever owned this one? Yeah, so I talk about this on the channel all the time, man. Like WCW Toy Biz. Peak. Absolute peak, man. Like going into KB Toys and getting like these WCW toy like WCW Toy Biz is one of my favorite toy lines ever. I wish I could have the full set. Like, I want to have a Toy Biz shelf with all the WCW, and then I want to have elite, and I've talked about this on the channel as kind of a side project, maybe, and then having like Mattel equivalents of all those figures to pair with it. I I love that set. Like, I think I think that is such like ultimate like play on the concept, bash at the beach. It's got like all these beach concepts and water themes.
SPEAKER_02This is like how can you not look at this and see like the most fun play set ever? Like with figures. Why is Mattel not doing this? Yeah, unbelievable. Listening to this, like this is money right here. Like, bro, imagine the fun kids could have with this. This is remake.
SPEAKER_00Yes, honestly, 100% Mattel needs to make a Toy Biz inspired line, honestly. And you're gonna be able to do it.
SPEAKER_02Dude, send me one. I will film millions of matches and advertise this stuff for you. Like gladly. This is incredible.
SPEAKER_03We need stuff like this.
SPEAKER_00We have to be fair here, okay? Putting personal bias aside, that Mattel elimination chamber from 2019 is spectacular.
SPEAKER_02Well, well, that's where where we come in. This is where it breaks my heart, and this is where this might be uh a little controversial to you. So, this this elimination chamber, in my opinion, is the best elimination chamber play set for figures of all time. Oh better than that jack's real scare one. Wow, yes. So I filmed with this a lot. The playability is fantastic. You got you can do so much stuff on the top of the pods, there's so much room. You can open up the top, you can easily access and get your figures in there to get them through the pods. You can get in there, have them fight on top of the pods. It's easy access to open up the cage, lots of room around the sides. And unlike the Jax one, the pods are actually behind the post. So it is the most accurate elimination chamber. Yes, it's the most even the Mattel one they did of that oval-shaped illumination chamber, didn't have the pods behind the posts. So this is beautiful. Imagine if they made it real scale, this would be absolutely incredible. So this is the most realistic elimination chamber, most accurate elimination chamber, and it's the most fun. You know, if we're talking about that Jax one, the the ceiling's way too low, you can't do anything on top of the podcast.
SPEAKER_00Unless you take the roof off, you're effed, or you mod it. You have to mod it, which is just dumb.
SPEAKER_02Yeah, yeah. We're not even including modding in here, to be honest. But yeah, you have to play with it over the top, pretty much around the sides, is tough. The pods not behind the posts, it's annoying. Like, yeah, I feel like this is the most fun, most realistic elimination chamber. Now, the fact that this is going up against the WCW Bash of the Beach ring, this is insane, man. I know that's unfortunately. Unfortunately, one of these guys gotta go.
SPEAKER_00I don't know what the hell to pick on this one. This might be the most difficult matchup of the bracket. At least I feel like it is. Yes, like holy smokes, man. What are we doing? Like, yeah, oh god.
SPEAKER_02This is brutal.
SPEAKER_00It really is. Mmm, mmm. That that's like so tough. Really, like legitimately very tough.
SPEAKER_02And they're both like small, uh, smaller rings, too. So you can't really knock one or the other, right?
SPEAKER_00Like, I don't know, the older I get, and this may be like my like old man yelling at the clouds, like the older I get, it's just I guess just because I'm an unknown. I don't know. But like the the dance, like I don't know. I used to like kind of crap on the basic playsets, like, oh, it's basic, blah blah blah. Like the the older I get, the more I'm like, yeah, like just make it, make it smaller. Tweak it.
SPEAKER_02Yeah, I had no issues like filming with that. It was so much fun, to be honest. Like, yeah, it's just incredible, it's a beast. But is it better than the WCW? Like, oh, that's that's brother.
SPEAKER_00I love that damn WCW. I I I love it. This this one's this one is so tough for me, and I really I don't want like I hate to, or I don't want, you know, oh it's nostalgic and like all these different things. Like, I don't want that necessarily to play a role in it, you know. I I want to look at it at like face value, but there's so much fun to be had with that bash at the beach one, like there really is, like you have genuine like you could give that to your kid right now in the bath, and they'll have so much fun with it. You can play with it in the pool, you can like there's just so much there, yeah.
SPEAKER_02But that might also like you know, advocating for the chamber, you might say, Well, you can only play with that other one in water, right? You're not maybe you don't always want to be in water, but then again, it's freaking awesome 100 man, 100.
SPEAKER_00That I don't know where where are you where are you thinking? Where's your heart leaning on this?
SPEAKER_02Man, I kind of wanted it to be this chamber versus the other chamber, but I feel like the WCW Bash of the Beach ring has to advance. I I think I'm there with you, bro.
SPEAKER_00I think I'm there with you. That like, and I don't like maybe bash at the beach rings just went up on the aftermarket. I'm telling you, that thing right here.
SPEAKER_02Oh, it's expensive.
SPEAKER_00It's expensive, people know, but the oh man, that's legendary. I think I'm gonna I think I'm gonna agree with you. I think I'm gonna go bash at the beach ring. I just think I think it's one of those all-timers, and I don't know. I just love it. I think it's great. Yeah. Alrighty, man. So that so in this matchup, so the way this bracket works, and again, I will make sure that it's correct on screen, whatever, in terms of when the matchups take place, but bash of the beach ring will go to the uh I think it's Jax Hell in a Cell, I believe, is how it works. So yeah, I think that's how that works there. But let's move on to the next one. So we go back up to the top, and it's gonna be backstage bra, Jax. So the Jax Backstage bra versus the Jax backstage mayhem. So these are slightly different. They're slightly different. One is a little bit smaller than the other one, I would say. Um, but I think it has virtually kind of similar playability. You have so you have the one with so this one's gonna have the roll door, the backstage bra is gonna have the roll door with the little barrels that can come barreling out and hit you. It has the other door, it comes with a table, I think, with some food on it. It also has an exit door, it comes with that little SmackDown interview hanger thing for a background, which is cool. And then the mayhem is the one that has the vending machine and the exit door and the breakaway wall. Now, honestly, pretty intense matchup right here because you kind of have a yeah. I mean, they're ver they're very, very similar, but also different in their own way. What are you thinking?
SPEAKER_02Yeah, so I got this as a kid. I think I've had like a few versions of this, but like I specifically remember, like, I think it was Christmas, my grandma got me this, and I remember like you know, over time you start to like lose all the stuff, and it's especially those uh paper or cardboard pieces that they have for the background, they just get like ruined over time. But this is a really cool set here. You know, the garage door, especially, you got the barrels that like roll down and take out your opponents. You get a little table with some pizza, which is pretty cool, an interview set up there and a workable door. You know, the fact that I have uh have had this one and not the mayhem may, you know, influence it a little bit. But what do you think as far as this goes, this matchup?
SPEAKER_00Yeah, it's tough. I've had both of these. I had both of these as a kid, and I love them both for different reasons, kind of. I love again, I love the grunginess of having the toilet and the breakaway wall and just kind of the just ridiculousness of it. But I also do love the garage door. And what's cool is the way you can set it up is you can take the that exit door of the backstage brawl one, you can put the mayhem on the backside of that and virtually kind of connect them. So it's like you know, you leave that door and it goes into this door, you can put it where that door hole is and you can kind of combine them and they're kind of modular, and I think that's really fun how you can, you know, manipulate that. But in terms of like, oh man, this one's tough for me, man. This one's really tough for me. I I think I like like you said, I I also think that the cardboard kind of background, it's more it's more stable on the mayhem one because it's like solid plastic, it's not gonna, you know, you sit on this one wrong or knock it over wrong, or you know, it gets buried under some figures or whatever, you bend it and it kind of could hurt it, you know.
SPEAKER_02Yeah, if you're a kid, that's a worry. Nowadays, like we have the extreme sets dioramas. We're kind of used to those sort of things, even though they're more sturdy than this was. But yeah, I feel like the only thing hindering that mayhem one is how small it is, you know. It it kind of needs some other stuff to connect to it in order to really use it for anything, I feel. But this one, yeah, it goes it's kind of long. You get a few different areas.
SPEAKER_00What do you value the most? It's tough. Um man, I I I just feel like we're virtually looking at almost the same thing. It's almost like if you took the mayhem and like unfolded it instead of instead of having it as like a box or one side versus the other.
SPEAKER_01Yeah.
SPEAKER_00Oh man. I I'm gonna. Have you had both of these? Yeah, I've had both of these. I've had both of these. I I think I think I'm gonna go, oh damn. Like it what's my my biggest conflict is like, okay, you can take the backstage brawl and you can kind of set it up on your own table and make your own backstage area. I feel like the other one's kind of a platform and you could still have it as like a little riser and you can manipulate it and make it work. But I like, like you said, I like how you you get a little bit more bang for your buck. I think I I know it doesn't come with the vending machine, it doesn't have, but it still has the exit door, it's got the little interview area. It doesn't have the toilet and the cool things on the backside, but oh man. That garage door, that working garage door is really cool. It is, and you can kind of make it like where you unleash barrels on your opponent. I think I'm gonna go backstage brawl.
SPEAKER_02Yeah, I think just because of the size and the more areas that it kind of has here, uh, I think there's a little more you can do with it. So I would say the backstage brawl too.
SPEAKER_00Yeah, I think I think I think I'm agreeing with you right there. I I think I'm 100% in right there. So backstage brawl will move on to the next round, and that takes us down to the other side, and it's going to be the wicked cool toys steel cage real scale versus the Mattel Hell in a Cell basic one. So this one's an interesting matchup.
SPEAKER_02Yeah, they called that hell in a cell, they called it the cell because I guess they can't say hell, even though WWE says it all the time. I don't know what the deal is there. But you know, the the cell play set by Mattel, I believe that's like the only one they've ever done. They've probably re-released it a couple times. But yeah, in terms in comparison to the Jax Hell in a cell, it just really doesn't stack up. You know, I think there's fun to be had with it. It's cool that you know, the sides of it, you can break like one of the panels, or one or two of the panels of the the cage there, which is a really cool feature. It's got the breakaway on top, like the Jax one has as well. But yeah, I think it's too small to you know get your hands in there and do your thing. I think the Jax versions are better, even like the medium-sized Jax version is better than this one, I feel. So, yeah, in terms of that. But then its opponent, the Wicked Cool Toy is Steel Cage. I think it's probably the best steel cage accessory for a real scale ring. So I definitely am gonna go with the steel cage on this one.
SPEAKER_00Yeah, I'm right there with you. I think the steel cage clears here. It's just it when you compare basic versus real scale, real scale is gonna win most of the time, I feel. You know, I think that 90% of people or more are gonna say that real scale is better. And that's still, like you said, I think it's still the best steel cage to this day. And uh, yeah, I think steel cage clears. I don't think it's necessarily uh not like the the cell is cool. I just think I don't think it's quite there. I think I think it's tough, like you said, because it's smaller, like even if you open up a panel, you're kind of you're just more you know in there. It's it's very tight and everything. And it's still cool, and you can still you know play with it in different ways, but I think I would give the nod to the steel cage as well. Agreed. All right, man. That takes us up to the next spot, which is going to be the last matchup of this top round of 16. And again, the way the format is, I don't know why the format's so weird, but I will have it written down and we'll put the matchups on screen so you won't be confused. Just uh like just pay attention to the matchups we're talking about currently, and then as we progress, I will put each matchup and as we go quarterfinals, semifinals, finals, you'll see it. But let's get into it, man. The next one's going to be backstage brawl Mattel 2012, possibly the best playset they've personally ever made, Mattel. I don't know. That's that may be a hot take. I don't know. But they are going up against the Creative Superstar Mattel ring, and I I already know where I'm going here, I think. But the back the backstage brawl gives you so much, so much. There it's kind of what we talked about with the Jax backstage brawl. But I think it's it's just there's just so much there. There's so much on that one. What do you think?
SPEAKER_02Yeah, this is a really cool play set. Unfortunately, I never was able to own it because it was a Kmart American exclusive. And Mattel didn't like give Australians a lot of like the play sets and things during this time period, but man, it's so cool. And you know, you get the locker that breaks, you get an office, you get like kind of like coming back from the stage kind of gorilla sort of sort of curtain area there. You get a garage door, you get some crates and stuff. Like, yeah, this is a really cool piece. And what was it, the creator superstar ring? There's a lot you can do there. We mentioned, you know, create your own matches and stuff, but I feel like you know, I think I feel like you'd get a lot more out of this if you want, you know, a backstage setup that's an actual like manufactured piece. So I think I'm gonna go with the backstage brawl playset.
SPEAKER_00Yeah, it's backstage brawl, man. I I've I've owned this for years, and shortly after, or right before I started my YouTube channel, I picked this thing up, and it's just uh it's just uh so good. There's just so much there. You you didn't even mention it, has the break, the breakaway bench, it's got the breakaway couch, it's got the side table with the lamp. So it's got a GM's office, a gorilla curtain that you can connect to your action figure stage. It's got the modular stuff, you can create a locker room. It's it's a beast. It's it's great, especially when you compare it to the creative superstar ring. I just think you get way more there. So I would absolutely go backstage Brawl Mattel 2012 over the Creative Superstar Ring.
SPEAKER_02Yeah, it's been over 10 years, and I can't believe it's never been re-released. That's insane to me.
SPEAKER_00Yeah, that's actually an interesting thing. Like, we see all these figures re-released. Why why couldn't they do playsets re-released? Maybe update them, maybe do some different things. That's an interesting little topic of discussion right there with Mattel. Now, would this be like as valuable as is re-released, or would you do a little something to it? I feel like you'd have to do something with it. You know, everything's ultimate now. I feel like you have to give us like the ultimate backstage bra or something, the ultimate backstage or something like that, where you get maybe a little bit more details, maybe things are more interchangeable. I don't know.
SPEAKER_02Yeah, I guess we can talk about that a little bit more, but I think like having that gorilla position, that like that would be perfect because they're always filming there now. So having that in figure form, there's something they could definitely do with that. So yeah, we'll we'll get into that a little bit later. But backstage brawl advances. What's the next matchup?
SPEAKER_00So it's gonna be the Jack's Money in the Bank set versus the training center takedown. This one, yeah, this is a fun little matchup right here, man, because you would think, oh, Jack's Money in the Bank is is fantastic. But then you talk about the training center takedown. There is a lot that comes with that training center takedown. There's there's quite a bit right there. There's quite a bit in terms of accessories and things like that. I mean, you're talking like really fun stuff. You have the mirror, you have the the punching bag, you get the barbell, you get the bench, you have the little background. It has those ropes, like the workout ropes that you can use. It's got the the pull handles, it comes with a camera, it comes with dumbbells, it's got a pull-up bar, lots of really fun things, you know, that you can do with that one.
SPEAKER_02Yeah, and it also attaches to that backstage brawl as well from Mattel. So that's really cool. The only downside with these Mattel ones is that the ceiling's like not high. It's like very like the height of it's just a bit short, it looks like, right?
SPEAKER_00Yeah, the wall the walls are definitely not that tall, but yeah, you know, it I think it it gives you the illusion enough to where it sucks you in, and you're like, you know, I think I think you can, you know, meet it halfway. I I think so if you were filming a little below, like it wouldn't or you have to use some sort of camera tricks a little bit with it if you were filming saying I've absolutely used these in feds and and photography and everything like that, and they work. I think I think they work. You can yeah, you can use different angles and stuff like that. So I I don't think that that's a huge thing, but it I mean, it's definitely a note. I think it is something worth to note with the with the scale of it in terms of the height of the walls. But man, the jack's money in the bank playset is so awesome, you know. It's massive, it's absolutely massive.
SPEAKER_02And we're talking real scale, right? Because there is a smaller ring version of this, but yeah, the real scale.
SPEAKER_00Like it is, yeah, it's got the so it has these like you know, kind of poles that go in the corners and it goes up and it goes over, and it has this retractable hook in the middle that you can lower and raise yourself, and it comes with a briefcase, yeah, and you can put it on there. And this specific one comes with uh Shelton Benjamin and RVD, but those those corner posts are 22 inches tall, so it's up there, they're gigantic, dude.
SPEAKER_02Like if you just wanted to buy this for stage pieces or like that that looks like a legit overhead that you would have like in an outdoor arena, like to hang all the stuff for the ring, like that is a really cool piece. I'm surprised Mattel hasn't gone that route. I guess it's cost more more plastic to manufacture instead of you know that little one that we were talking about before. But yeah, that is a really cool piece, and yeah, you know, if you're a kid and you want to do like a ladder match money in the bank, you need something to hold up those those titles, and you're not gonna like drill holes into the ceiling or whatever, and yeah, so this is a really cool piece, and the retractable, like to have it retract down and up, like that's so cool.
SPEAKER_00So and I want to say it's on a battery, so you like you press a button and it lowers itself. I'm I think so, and I think it also may be manual too. I think there's two options possibly. I used this for my Money in the Bank pay-per-view all those years ago, and it was a lot of fun. I think I didn't use it how it has here, I attached so I modded it a little. So the poles that go outside the ring, I modd those to the turnbuckles.
SPEAKER_02I think why do you do that? Did you have the smaller version of it? I think the real scale should have gone out first.
SPEAKER_00I think so. I think that's what it is.
SPEAKER_02So maybe had the medium-sized kind of version.
SPEAKER_00Possibly, but still, just so much fun, so cool. It looks epic, you know, it kind of completes the look of the whole arena and ties it all together. Yeah, man, that one's a that one's a beast. But the training center takedown has a lot of fun with it as well. Where are you kind of leaning here? What's your thought process?
SPEAKER_02It's interesting because it's also like, yeah, what do you value? Do you want to have your action figures brawl in this training area? Do you want it for photography? Do you want to, you know, film a little segment, you know, in this gym area? Or do you value, you know, this structure, which you could use for your arena in any way you want that holds the the championship? Or do you not care about anything holding the championship and you just you value the other piece? Because if you if you're not worried about holding the championship up with something, then you knew you might not value this as much.
SPEAKER_00Yeah, it's it's actually kind of tough, you know. I I think it is kind of tough. I think for me, as cool as the as the training center is, I don't know. Like, I'm trying to relate it to an actual weight room. I guess it doesn't really matter. Like, you have the punching bag in there, like nobody's benching all that weight. There's not even a rack. There's not even a rack to put it on. I think I don't I don't know.
SPEAKER_02Oh, but was there no rack with that bench? I don't think so. Maybe there was so I guess they were doing flat bench dumbbell press, and now someone was delighted. I do see a rack.
SPEAKER_00That makes more sense. Okay, I was gonna say there's gotta be a rack for that barbell. Okay, right. All right, oh, I don't know. This one's I honestly I don't know. I don't know on this one. It's actually kind of tough because I think you get so much fun here, and the mirror in that mirror is breakaway. Like you can can't you like break through it? That is pretty damn cool. Yeah, it is, it is pretty damn cool, and you have like the ropes, like you could choke a guy out with the ropes, you can I don't know, like there's there's some fun to be had right there, but that jack's money in the bank is so damn sick. How it has the retractable hook and the structure of it really pulls me in. Do you know where you're voting? Not yet. Let me let me hear what you have to say. What's your vote? What are you going with? This one's let me look back at the money in the bank again. Like, I I think about like what I love about the structure too, it's not just okay, it's holding up the thing, but you also have like superstars can climb up the structure and jump off the structure. You know, they can climb up the scaffolding, you can use the scaffolding. And I think when you combine that with certain elements, it also comes with ladders, I'm pretty sure. I think I think it comes with two or three ladders. Oh man. I think I'm gonna I oh god geez, this one's so tough. I I think I'm going money in the bank.
SPEAKER_02I think yeah, I'm going money in the bank too. I think yeah, the the fact that you can climb up the structure, I think people would have so much fun with that. You know, it takes a normal ladder match and then enhances it immensely with you know the playability of that structure. So yeah, money in the bank.
SPEAKER_00The the that actually just reminded me of something. So I think I used it for money in the bank, and then I think I kept it up for multiple shows after that, and I think it was even up at sold out. I think I used it at sold out too. And I think it was, yeah. Yeah, and so Dean Ambrose like you know, scaled it and jumped off it, and like that match was a lot of fun because you can you know include that into the match. Yeah, dude, I'm going money in the bank. I think I'm money in the bank. Yeah, I think I'm going there. Okay, so now we're into the quarterfinals and we'll break down our matchups. And again, on screen, it it's looking weird, but I'm gonna I'll I'll make sure that we have it all correct here. All right, man. We're going to the quarterfinals here, which is going to match up the Jack's Elimination Chamber, the real scale elimination chamber versus the Wargames basic ring from Mattel. So we've already seen these in previous matchups. I think I already know where I'm going. I think that this is an interesting matchup. Like if you thought about it for a second, but I think that one just offers you a little bit more, and I think that that's where I'm gonna go. But what do you think here?
SPEAKER_02Yeah, it is an interesting matchup. Both are good in their own right. You know, having a real scale elimination chamber is a lot of fun. Having a war games playset in general is really fun, and you get a lot of you know accessories too, weapons and things. So that's really cool. This is somewhat of a tough one. If if the jax elimination chamber was like better, like a little more realistic, maybe it'd be easier. I don't know. What are you going with? You're going with the the chamber?
SPEAKER_00I'm going with the chamber because I I used to like like yes, like we talk about the roof, but I know a lot of people just remove the roof and then they would kind of treat it as like this open cage that had pods, and it turned into like its own. Then it's not even really the elimination chamber, it kind of mods itself into like it's your own fun match that you can have where it's you know it's not necessarily the elimination chamber, but it's like a modded kind of version in itself. And you know, you I've seen it where you know you can have weapons lining the walls, and like I don't know, there's just like some different weird stuff you could do with it. Customization of it, yeah. Kind of, and and I've seen people combine it into like its own like eliminator ladder match where you, you know, you have a belt up top and it's like a ladder match inside this chamber structure with people that enter. It's like I don't know, there's just so much there, and it's so damn big and epic that I just don't think that the that the war game set can compare to it in that way, and I think that's what gets it for me.
SPEAKER_02Yeah, I think you know, if you're gonna get one or the other, I think you'd probably be more excited about getting the chamber. So we'll go with the chamber on this one.
SPEAKER_00Okay, so real scale moves on to the semifinals, but we're moving on to our next quarterfinals matchup, which is going to be the jacks hell in a cell, real scale, versus everybody's favorite, the WCW bash at the beach.
SPEAKER_02Oh my god, this is like a finals matchup. What are you doing? Yeah no, yeah. Oh my god, yeah, I know you love that chamber, but like I feel like one of these is destined for greatness in this tournament. Well, Eddie. So it's hard to eliminate both of one of them, you know.
SPEAKER_00Yeah, it sucks, man. I I'm there with you because while I've never had that hell in a sale, I can just imagine it. You know, when you you kind of like with Mattel, right? Just because I don't own a certain figure, I can kind of imagine how it is based off of other experiences with other things from them, if that makes any sense. You see what I'm saying? Yeah, like I don't necessarily have to have that figure to know exactly how it's gonna feel, how it's gonna operate. And I feel like that's how that that hell in a cell is like I can imagine exactly. Yeah, it's massive, how it connects, the playability, the funness. Uh I hate to do it, but I I think Jack's Hell in a Cell is gonna move on, man. I but uh it's I think so.
SPEAKER_02You agree is yeah, yeah.
SPEAKER_00I but I I cannot not put over the bash at the beach ring. It's fantastic. It it really is. It's an all-timer, it's an all-timer, all timer, so good.
SPEAKER_02It's a deep cut, too. I don't feel like a lot of people probably know about it.
SPEAKER_00Yeah, I I hold that thing dear, man. It's uh it's a it's so joy, it brings me joy to my heart.
SPEAKER_02Did you have it as a kid?
SPEAKER_00Yeah, so I had experiences with it. I want to say I picked it up at a at a garage sale as a kid, like when I was younger. And again, man, just WCW and and I don't know. I hold and I know like I kind of I guess I kind of crapped on the nitro stage a little bit, maybe when it was first shown, but it's because we don't get that, we don't have the characters, right? We didn't really have the characters. I didn't like the figure selection, but you know, I when I think of Sting and WCW and Toy Biz, man, that just that'll get my you know I'm saying that'll get you out of bed in the morning.
SPEAKER_02You know what I'm saying? So yeah. So yeah, Hell in a cell makes his way through brutal battle, man. It's hard to hard to see the WCW Bash of the Beach Ringo.
SPEAKER_00Like, no, no, yeah, it sucks, man. But moving on, it's going to be the Mattel backstage brawl set with the you know the curtain and the GM's office, all that, versus the Jack's money in the bank. So kind of crazy. I I feel like the Mattel offers you a lot of different elements there, but that Jack's money in the bank, man, the Jax money in the bank, that structure, the hook, what are you thinking right there? There, I mean, it's kind of two different playabilities.
SPEAKER_02Yeah, I mean, you get a lot from that backstage brawl, like if photography and just like having fun with the figures and stuff, there is a lot of fun to be had here and a lot of like usability with this, but then you have you know the money in the bank, and it's like if you don't have any issues of hanging a championship or money in the bank in some way in some fashion, then you might not really care for that money in the bank, but it is a really cool structure, has that retractable like feature of it as well for the championship and the briefcase or whatever you want to hang from it. It is a really cool piece, and you might have more fun doing ladder matches and things than you would doing any sort of backstage stuff with what they have to offer here, but it is tough. What are you thinking?
SPEAKER_00I'm trying to like really put myself in here because with the backstage, you get a lot, there's a lot to be had there. You get the locker room, the GM's office, the the you know, your own custom kind of backstage area, really. I mean and the jack's money in the bank, you get that retractable hook and like the structure like we talked about. This one's way too. Tougher just because of the playability. I love how you have that couch that you can bust in half.
SPEAKER_02I've never gotten it, but yeah, the couch is like the thing I want the most from this.
SPEAKER_00Yeah, and you get the G like you get that door that says raw GM on it. Like you can customize that. I customize that. Man, I don't I I think I think I'm going with tail backstage bra. I think I'm going with backstage bra. What do you think?
SPEAKER_02That's tough. How's that garage door work? Is it just like the Jax one where it like retracts up?
SPEAKER_00Yeah, so you can push it all the way down, and then there's a there's a little chain thing that you can actually pull to like pull it back up. You know what? Let me grab it real quick, actually. Hold up.
SPEAKER_02Okay, here he goes. Wow. Check out that background there. Incredible. That room's insane.
SPEAKER_00So look, we got so look, this is it right here. And you can literally you can pull this down and then you can. Yeah, it's just like the jacks. Oh, maybe the chain came undone there. Or maybe this doesn't operate. Maybe this doesn't actually connect to the thing. Maybe it's just like for looks.
SPEAKER_02Interesting. Does it go up and down or just down? Like, do you push it back up? Yeah. Oh, okay.
SPEAKER_00But it doesn't go slowly. I don't think it goes slow. I think this chain just kind of looped through there. But you get the visual, and you could, I mean, you could choke somebody with that, I guess. So that's cool.
SPEAKER_02I wonder why the garage doors are like on these playsets are so small. Like, what's supposed to go through there?
SPEAKER_00Yeah, it's like I guess for like people, I don't know, but yeah, you get the breakaway locker. Like, yeah, man, it's it's a it's a damn cool set, man. It's a damn cool set. I do love the Jax Money in the Bank, though, but I I think I would give it with the variety you get out of the backstage. I think I think I'd go backstage.
SPEAKER_02Yeah, I think the selling points for me is that black curtain coming through the GM's office and the couch. I think, yeah, the edge has to go to the backstage brawl. So that's my vote.
SPEAKER_00Okay. It's it's kind of crazy. I was just thinking it's like, what do kids want to do? Do they want to walk through a curtain or do they want to jump off the structure? And I'm like, that's true. It's a good point, but you can put guys through the damn couch, you can put them through the lockers. You get, I don't know, I think you get more variety out of that. So yeah. Backstage Brawl Mattel. And so after unfortunately eliminating our beloved Bash at the beach ring, which just makes me sad, not gonna lie. It's just a banger. Um we move on to our last quarterfinals matchup, which will be Backstage Brawl Jax versus Wicked Cool Toys Steel Cage. And I think I already know where I'm going with this one. It's uh I think so too. Yeah, I it's not that like the the Jax backstage bra set is fantastic. I love it. I love the barrels and the operational door that we talked about with Mattel. The Mattel one offers you a little bit more, I think, in terms of variety. There's a lot, there's like more to it, you know.
SPEAKER_02It's way bigger as well.
SPEAKER_00Bigger, it's taller, there's different things there. I'm going steel cage. I just think like it's it's just epic and big.
SPEAKER_02Yeah, the steel cage is fantastic. You want a steel cage match, it's perfect for your real scale ring. So yeah, it's it's great. Nothing I could say wrong about it. So yeah, the steel cage, I think that definitely takes the win here.
SPEAKER_00Yeah, I I think so, man. And it's it's not that like I love the backstage brawl jacks one. If you went backstage brawl jacks versus backstage bra Mattel, ooh, like I I'm trying again. A lot of people were gonna probably be like blinded by nostalgia and just be like, oh yeah, that one's better. And in a lot of ways, like Jackson's both old though.
SPEAKER_02They're both old. They are both old, they are both old. We'd be nostalgic for both.
SPEAKER_00But I mean, like, we weren't necessarily kids when the Mattel, you you know what I'm saying. Like, we were I guess I would have been if I had it. No, I would have been like 11. I was a kid then, but I'm saying like it's different areas of your life as a kid, if that makes sense. Yeah, yeah. But I think that I don't know, man. That's anyway. I I think the Mattel one's a little bit better than the Jax one in terms of backstage bra. I think. I don't know.
SPEAKER_02Yeah, I think so too.
SPEAKER_00Need to do like a I don't know, like maybe a one-of-one comparison, like who's actually better and do backstage bra, Jax versus Mattel. But we're in our semi-finals here, man. We got the elimination chamber from Jax. Jax elimination chamber real scale versus the Mattel backstage bra. Yeah, fun one, fun one. Uh I already know where I'm going.
SPEAKER_01So it's not difficult for you.
SPEAKER_00I don't think it's that difficult for me.
SPEAKER_02I I think that at the end of the day, I think that yeah, I feel like if if you're young and and you're on the shelves and you see an elimination chamber and you see a backstage brawl, like you're gonna want the chamber. So I think you go with the chamber, yeah.
SPEAKER_00100%, 100%. And I know I guess you could say that same thing about the Jax Money in the Bank versus the backstage brawl Mattel.
SPEAKER_02But yeah, you could, yeah. But I think you get more value out of the the backstage brawl. But the the chamber, like having a real scale chamber is just awesome.
SPEAKER_00Yeah, bro. I I think real scale change. So real scale elimination chamber is going to the finals, but who will it face? Will it face the Jax Hell in a Cell real scale, or will it face the Wicked Cool Toy Steel Cage? I think that uh, I mean, let just look at the look at the steel cage versus the hell in a cell in in a real match. That's virtually what you're comparing here because it's basically the match type.
SPEAKER_02It's like because they're both fantastic, but it's like, would you rather have a steel cage or would you rather have a hell in a cell? Hell in a cell.
SPEAKER_00Yeah, it's hell in a cell, man. It's hell in a cell when you talk about the trapdoor and the and you can escape and you can climb scale it and get on top and throw people off of it. Like, yeah, you can throw people off the steel cage, but you're gonna be straddling the top of the cage. I mean, I guess you could stand on it, but there's different elements, and the wiki cool toy steel cage is is badass. It's sick, it's awesome. But the jack's hell in a cell, man. Jack's hell in a cell is going to the finals where we have real scale elimination chamber versus real scale hell in a cell for the city.
SPEAKER_03I knew this day would come.
SPEAKER_00Yeah. I mean, dude, I think that at the end of the day, you're getting two epic structures, two hellacious, nostalgic pieces right here that are just unbelievable. Have you ever had you've had the real scale elimination chamber, or have you never had it?
SPEAKER_02So I've had the medium sized. I haven't had the real scale, but I had like the medium sized one of this, but I only had two pods. Okay. Yeah, I know what you're talking about.
SPEAKER_00Yeah. So yeah, I I think all the criticisms of that elimination chamber are 100% valid, and it's a bit weird, it's a bit wonky, you know, it's a bit like wide instead of like overall tall and big, whatever. It's still gigantic. You get the steel graded floor, you get the operational pods, you can remove the roof and and jump off of it. But I think at the end of the day, the real scale hell in a cell is more like the actual thing than the real scale elimination chamber. So I I would vote real scale hell in a cell, I think.
SPEAKER_02Wow, okay. Because I thought, because you have that chamber and I have that hell in a cell. So I thought it might sway you a certain way, but yeah, there are too many like problems. Like if it came out today and it had those issues, I feel like you would feel a certain way about it. But yeah, I just feel like that hell in a cell is a beast, it still holds up to this day, and you could it's so versatile, you can use it on like any ring, and yeah, for photography, for action figure fetting, it's just for play, it's just so cool, man. Especially the size of it and everything, and yeah, man, like you can you can use it in so many different ways and have so much fun with it. So hell in a cell is winning the bracket, baby.
SPEAKER_00Yeah, I think the hell in a cell wins, but it's not by much. And I know a lot of people, there are probably a lot of people that are gonna see this and think there's no damn way it's better than that elimination chamber. I un I completely 100% understand where people are coming from with it.
SPEAKER_02Like it's the freaking elimination chamber, but I but like I said, I feel like the 2019 one's better. That's my opinion.
SPEAKER_00Yeah, that's that's crazy too. I I'd have to, I'd have to, I don't know. That that one would be a nice debate to have agree-disagree segment right there to have. I I I think that I can like it, I do not lose any sleep at night. If some if somebody put Elimination Chamber as the best and had Hell on a Cell second, I wouldn't, you know, I wouldn't be like, oh, that's absurd. Like I I could see that, you know, and maybe I woke up tomorrow and feel that way, possibly. But yeah, the Jacks Hell in a Cell is a beast. And the real scale Elimination Chamber is obviously it's an all-timer. Like these are both all-time play sets, ones that live forever, ones that people will always remember. And yeah, I'm glad I'm happy with Hell in a Cell winning the winning the bracket. I think that it's fair, I don't think it's crazy, and I think that I mean, even if you look at like our top four, is that the best four? I don't know.
SPEAKER_02I feel like a lot of people probably hold the gym, but like the WCW Bash of the Beast Ring. That that was brutal to cut that. And yeah, I would throw that elimination chamber up there. Mattel has the greatest opportunity to just come in here and say, like, screw jacks, we're gonna make the best play sets ever. Make that chamber in real scale, make uh real scale hell in a cell. You you just kill them. Kill their legacy.
SPEAKER_00Maybe yeah, maybe we get the damn uh maybe we get the the crowdfund. Who knows what what the vote is or if they're ever able to make things. We gotta actually, you know, back these projects so we can actually get these things come to fruition. But yeah, man, that does it for a bracket. Jack's hell in a cell, wins the bracket over the elimination chamber. But that kind of leads us into, you know, I know we've already we've already gone over longer than we probably thought with our bracket here, but it's kind of good because we're gonna wrap our episode up here with, you know, what what are some playsets that Mattel should make? What like what can we discuss here that uh you know we can we can have between you know what Mattel can make in the modern day, what would you like to see? Is there anything off the top of the dome where you're just like, oh yeah, right now off 100? But I mean, besides the obvious ones like an elimination chamber, like a hell in a cell, like a steel cage, all these different things, what are some things that you would like to see for Mattel maybe?
SPEAKER_02Well, I know that like they've got I don't I don't know if you call it competition, but like people in the space who are like figures toy company and wrestlers stick and stuff, who are making dioramas and stuff, like extreme sets as well, making those dioramas of the backstage areas. So that's probably discouraged them from you know going that route. But I would love to see Mattel make some sort of backstage brawl or something and have a gorilla position because they're filming in gorilla position all the time in WWE these days. It'd be a perfect opportunity to make that in figure form. I think that would be awesome.
SPEAKER_00Yeah, like with the Netflix reel show and stuff and all these different things, like I just think it makes sense. You could even throw in a triple H figure with it, with like the pointer hand. Yeah, yeah, yeah. Yeah, like that's like a layup, you know. You could have maybe like a light up WWE sign or monitors back there and like headsets, and you know, you could do the staple background, and maybe the way that you make it, it connects to an updated version of that curtain. And you have like a little walkway that you can connect to a stage one day, maybe if they want to make another stage or whatever. There's just there's a lot of potential there, and I agree. I would like to see more backstage stuff or like a GM's office with like the couch and the GM's desk, and you know, something like you see back here over my shoulder or right here.
SPEAKER_03Mm-hmm.
SPEAKER_00Yeah, like I would I but I'd love anything that they would love to make. And I think they crush it with the wrecking, the wrecking vehicles.
SPEAKER_01Like 100%.
SPEAKER_00You can translate that to, and I obviously like vehicles are more universal, that's why they make them. Like, you know, a lot of people are gonna buy an ambulance, like even people that collect Marvel or whatever are gonna buy an ambulance. So I understand that, but man, I would love a backstage uh gorilla position, an interview area. Just kind of take the concepts you've already made and update them.
SPEAKER_02Yeah, they could easily re-release that, but just add like a few more, like one or two like scenes backstage areas, like the the Gorilla Position, like I was saying, and uh yeah, updated GM's office would be cool. Interview area. I would love to see along the lines of the Wreck and Slam stuff, they've been killing it with that. I would love to see uh limousine. I think that's the next next thing we gotta do.
SPEAKER_00That would be incredible, and they could even make it where it comes with the like I don't know if it would work in the modern day. Like they they did do the lucha low rider, but it didn't come with a guerrero, they made it more modern, they gave it to Ray Mysterio, yeah, which was working. Maybe you could do you know, like JBL's limo with the horns on it, and you could make it where the horns pop off, and it's you know bass limo, and that would be pretty sick, but I would want a black limo, me personally.
SPEAKER_02Okay, always had the white.
SPEAKER_00That is true, that is true, but I mean they're gonna probably make a variant of it anyway, right? They're gonna give you a black one, and then I'd be happy with that too. Yeah, yeah, they'll give you the white one. But yeah, like I feel like a limo would be pretty easy, and maybe you could like who who could you put? I mean, you I feel like you could get away with Seth Rollins, you could put Logan Paul with it, you could put Roman Reigns, Roman Reigns. Yeah, like I don't know.
SPEAKER_02That's just that's money. We need different types of cars too. Like, I always see Roman Reigns in those what what do they call those big black cars? Big SUVs like the SUVs, like a black SUV would be sick. That would be like a private vehicle, yeah.
SPEAKER_00That would be sick. Yeah, that would be sick. Yeah, a private vehicle wrecking fig thing. I I'm gonna be honest with you, I'm gonna just put this out there. I don't know if uh like I'm just putting it out there. I think we're gonna see a new wrecking vehicle, and I think the new wrecking vehicle will be that truck. That truck that Pat McAfee came in, that truck that LA Knight rode in at WrestleMania, you know, the on SmackDown for Pat McAfee and Randy Orton. We're gonna get that truck 100%.
SPEAKER_02I mean, I'd love to see the LA Knight truck, but I also kind of want one that's just like a base color, so it's like more versatile, right?
SPEAKER_00Yeah, 100%. You know it's gonna be like some goofy color, like red with black, like graphics.
SPEAKER_02Well, I don't care if it's just base red, but I just don't want a bunch of LA Knight logos on it, you know. It may not have an LA night logo.
SPEAKER_00It'll probably have like a WWE logo on it and like these different things, which I mean you can customize it, but I 100% believe we're getting that. We're gonna get that truck this year, probably shown at Comic-Con. Guarantee it. Like we've seen the movie before.
SPEAKER_02Yeah, I would love to see like re-releases of those like blue, maybe not re-releases, but like reimaginings of those blue and red cars in like different shapes and different models, you know.
SPEAKER_00Yeah, I'd like to see like no, like, why is it always a damn convertible? Can you give me a car that's got a damn cover on it?
SPEAKER_02Yeah, I guess it's just easier access to the figures and stuff, you know, for the playability. But yeah, I guess you could just like remove the top, and then you have like like it's a two-in-one sort of thing. Yeah, you could remove right there.
SPEAKER_00Yeah, you can remove the top. Yeah, that would not be bad right there. That would be cool. Yeah, I mean, we've seen what you got the ATV, you got the forklift, you got the truck, you got the motorcycles, you got the car, you got the slambulence. They kind of screwed up that forklift.
SPEAKER_02That was like way too short.
SPEAKER_00Yeah, it was pretty small, but it was still sick.
SPEAKER_02It was still sick, but yeah, it's great to have that, but yeah, kind of missed the missed the shot with that one. Yeah.
SPEAKER_00Um, but yeah. And just like yeah, like I'm thinking, I don't know if you could get away with like a catering area or something. Maybe it could be like a not necessarily like a food fight, but you know, something dumb like that where you can. That's pretty cool. Yeah, like all kinds of like food accessories and tables and chairs and what about like uh stone cold with like the Zamboni?
SPEAKER_02Yeah, I'm I I don't know if that would fly. Like it'd be like obviously it'd be cool. It wouldn't fly. I guess is that like a known vehicle to people? Is that gonna sell?
SPEAKER_01Like that's what I'm saying.
SPEAKER_00Like, I don't know if people would people would probably want it for their shelf, but enough to make a wrecking vehicle or like a whole vehicle out of it. I don't know. You know, like Undertaker, like the the the motorcycles made sense because okay, you can put this on display and it work as like uh an undertaker motorcycle or whatever you know, people play, people love to play with the vehicles. I mean, I guess you could use a Zamboni, but what about a Hearse?
SPEAKER_02Like with the Undertaker, would that be something that people might be interested in?
SPEAKER_00See it, I don't think they'll do it, but I'd love to see it. I would personally like with a casket as well that you can put in the back. God, that would be so freaking fire. That would be sick as hell. They won't do it, but that would be so sick. Yeah, to have a opera, like have the coffin you put back there, and it can shoot out. You have like, you know, they can retool a brand new coffin. That's so easy, man.
SPEAKER_02I don't know how they would figure it out, how they would manufacture it. A buried alive play set. That would be fantastic, too. They ain't gonna do it. Could it like could you do some sort of dirt or something that you could like toss in there? Would that just be too messy?
SPEAKER_00I mean, I guess if you approached it kind of like the you know, the new knuckle crunchers, Logan Paul, how he's coming with that porta potty and it's like slime in there, you might could like slime dirt, yeah. Like the slime kind of dirt or like kinetic sand, maybe.
SPEAKER_02I'm like yeah, right, like it's all it moves like like sand or whatever, but it all stays in one piece. Yep. And yeah, yeah, that'd be pretty cool.
SPEAKER_00Maybe you could do um, yeah, or maybe uh I mean, I don't know, a casket match playset would be cool. I just don't like I have.
SPEAKER_02I think we pretty much got that from Figures Toy Company. We got that sort of thing.
SPEAKER_00True, true, true. But I was talking about just from Mattel. If they wanted to capitalize on that market or take away that, you know, they love to take away the aftermarket stuff. Uh uh Yeah, I I'm trying to think, you know, we've seen like contract chaos, we've seen different things like that. And I think, you know, what made Jax really fun back in the day too is they would always have these just insane, you know, gear packs or grapple packs, I think is what they were called, where they would have, or the prop box playsets where you get the weight room and you have the like little foods set up, or you had the um like they had mattress with like a tire or a mop bucket and it had slime in it or sludge and stuff. That's just like little fun stuff, and I know you don't get as much of that on TV. Like the reason that all worked for the time is because the product was grungy. You know, the product was grungy, times were different, it was edgier product. So that's probably why all that stuff worked. It just kind of worked all together and the marketing for it was crazy. But yeah, I would love to see some more things like that implemented with Mattel and just have fun with just they have a lot of fun in the line where they implement stuff, but they should just be dumb with it. Just have like crazy, like just have fun with it. It's figures, it's toys, like you might as well.
SPEAKER_02Yeah, and we saw that with like the mutants and the zombies, which is some really cool stuff. I don't feel like it was appreciated enough at the time. I certainly didn't appreciate it enough at that time.
SPEAKER_00I used to dunk on stuff like that, and I really I don't really know why, because there was a lot of really cool gems in there, you know, and I guess I'm making up for it now with like the knuckle crunchers line. Like, I'm like, I put over the knuckle crunchers line all the time. Like, I think the knuckle crunchers line is so fun with the the different things they do there. So yeah, I think I don't know. You just should have fun with it, not you know, take it so serious, be goofy, have some fun stuff, make accurate figures and get all that stuff right. But man, there's there's fun to be had when you just cut loose, and it's like, oh, it'd be cool if this that like the tire that the the Jax figures came with, it had like a dead animal attached to it, like it was like a dead serious animal on the tire, yeah. Like just little goofy, funny stuff like that, you know, dirty mop, dirty toilet, kitchen sink, stuff like that. Yeah, yeah.
SPEAKER_02I wonder also, like in this day and age of Mattel, are we ever gonna see those? Like, are they ever gonna manufacture those new announces tables WWE have? You you think we're ever gonna see that? I mean, that could probably work as its own little playset, right? Yeah, because they're pretty like detailed now.
SPEAKER_00Like this LED, like you could have flashing lights, breakaway, it come with a spinny chair, it come with a contract, a headset, monitors. I would buy the heck out of that.
SPEAKER_02I would love that.
SPEAKER_00Right? Yeah. Like you can't. You're gonna tell me you couldn't charge $20 or $24.99 for a working flashing light announce table.
SPEAKER_02I feel like kids would like that too. They would like when when I was a kid, I loved like getting an announces table is like something you need in your arena.
SPEAKER_00Bro, that like the red one that Jax used to have that would come with the rings, and like I used to like treat that like gold almost. Like when you got an announce table, you treated it like gold. You did not want it to, you know, you didn't want to lose it, you don't want to lose the pieces. You're like, dude, I have to take care of this. And so, you know, because it just complete, I don't know what it is as a kid. It's so fun to, you know, like and now it's like things come full circle. We're like, damn, I gotta set this up, I gotta get this shot right and get it to stuff. But then, like, when you're a kid just having fun with it, you're like, oh my god, look at all these accessories and tables, and like you create your setup, it's just a whole different like experience. But yeah, that would be a cool thing. I think if you you could put working lights and you can include like little mini accessories with that, especially like we just got Corey Graves, we're getting Michael Cole, like it kind of writes itself.
SPEAKER_02Hell, like if they do a crowdfunder, let's say they do a modern illumination chamber, throw those things in there, that increases the value as well. I would love that.
SPEAKER_00Yeah, that could be maybe maybe a tier. That could be a tier, maybe. It's like, oh, you want to get this working light announce table. Yeah, that'd be sick. Yeah, yeah, and you get you could get the spinny chair, you could get headsets, and there's two table types as well, so a lot to work with there. Yeah, you could do like two different versions or yeah, brands, or maybe it could even come with like interchangeable tops or whatever to switch out the logos, yeah. Something like that. I don't know. Yeah, uh, there's just there's so much, there's so much fun there. I mean, my god, what do we do? What do we do? Yeah, but things are expensive, so like I get it, but I don't know.
SPEAKER_02I'm willing to pay.
SPEAKER_00Yeah, I'm buying that. I'm buying that, man. I'm buying that, and I think those would sell very well, especially if you maybe did a Walmart exclusive and then a Target exclusive, and it's just a little hype around that. Yeah, yeah, it's just like a little fart bag playset that's not too too crazy, but it fills out shelf space and it's something that people would buy. I don't know, that'd be an interesting little pitch. Yeah, for sure. Yeah.
SPEAKER_02Well, anyways. Oh also a parking lot like brawl playset. How has that not been done? Even by Jax. Man, you put in like a car or something, you do a little diorama, you have like some accessories out there as well. Like that'd be awesome, dude.
SPEAKER_00Yeah, that feels like it should have been done. Like 100%, 100% that should have been done. Breakaway pieces, you could have tires out there, barrels, maybe a on-fire trash can thing. Maybe a little caution barricade. God, like what do we like? We literally talk about it for four seconds and have already fantasy booked something. Yeah, it'd be incredible. Maybe a little shopping cart in there. I don't know. Yeah. Yeah. Maybe even like a weapons pack. Like, I feel like people would just buy a weapon, and we've seen weapons packs like ringside exclusive weapons pack that came with a it came with a shopping cart, which is cool. I think I like even if it's ringside exclusive, I think things like that should exist. Like there should be things like that out there for people to get.
SPEAKER_02Yeah, I think AEW did like an incredible one with the the bobbed wire bed. Like that's the barrel one. Yeah, that was cool as well.
SPEAKER_00Yeah, there's some there's some damn good ones out there, man. There's definitely some stuff, but yeah, there these are things that I think Mattel could capitalize on 100%, instead of just giving us the same old, same old stuff.
SPEAKER_02Yeah, so the hell in a cell is at the top of the list. It won the bracket. Now it's up to you, Mattel. Can you beat it? I think you guys can. Let's do it.
SPEAKER_00Hey, we want to see the thing is, is I think I think that would have won the vote if I had to guess. I don't think people really want a giant chair. Yeah, I think it won the vote. If I had to guess, if I had to put my money on it. They wanted two, right? So well, it said, yeah, pick your top two.
SPEAKER_02Yeah, I just yeah, I me personally, I want a modern hell in a cell, it's like taller as well, but they they're probably gonna give you the classic. But I mean, either way, like just a hell in a cell would be awesome, and make the figures good.
SPEAKER_00The figures need to be good, man. The figures need to be good. The figure selections. I don't really care about the figures, I just want a cool play set. Well, that's where I was on the nitro stage.
SPEAKER_02On the nitro stage, everybody's like, Yeah, but you don't that's not like versatile, like a hell in a cell.
SPEAKER_00Correct. I'm just saying, like when that nitro stage come out, came out, I cracked on the figures because they weren't good selections. I didn't think they were great selections either. But for me, the the money was in the stage. I just wanted the stage. I didn't give a damn about the figure, anything with the figures was bonus for me. I just wanted the stage. Yeah, I don't know. So that's probably how I'd feel about a hell in a sale. It's like I don't really give a damn about the I just don't know who they'd pick. And I know people are picky about stuff like that, you know.
SPEAKER_02Like uh people people do you think do you think they were picky about that, or were they using that as like an excuse? Like they didn't really want to pay the money or they didn't want it bad enough, so they were saying, Oh, the figures aren't good to like maybe that's that's tough to say because I feel like a lot of people, oh man, I don't know.
SPEAKER_00I heard shelf space, I heard figures suck, I heard wasn't worth the money. Like, there was a lot of different reasons people didn't like it, but I was on board because I just wanted the stage, I really didn't give a damn. You know, if we got the figures, great. If we did if it was no figures and we just got the stage, that would have been fine with me. Because if you saw the stage in person, you would have been like, Oh my god, this is unbelievable. Yeah, yeah, absolutely massive. Like, photos do not do it justice. Yeah. But I think that's all I got for today, man.
SPEAKER_02Yeah, very interesting discussion. Great diving into all the great playsets of the past. And we found a winner, the hell in a cell gets it done. Well, man, yeah, what a trip down memory lane from our childhood, and still to this day, I'm filming with all this stuff. I'm gonna be filming with that hell in a cell on my WrestleMania. So, yeah, very cool discussion today.
