In Episode 14 of My Damn Creators, Trey and Nate catch up during one of their busiest seasons, discussing the challenges of balancing content creation, wrestling figure feds, and everyday responsibilities. Both hosts share behind-the-scenes updates on their current filming projects, tackling delays, toy articulation innovations, and the excitement of upcoming releases. The duo deep-dives into Mattel's WWE figure lines, reviewing the new Goldberg Ultimate Edition figure and speculating about the future of articulation and figure quality.
The episode then shifts to timely wrestling news, spotlighting Sheamus' rumored WWE departure, and how the phenomenon of "WWE lifers" is changing in the industry. This naturally segues into a passionate "Mount Rushmore" segment, where Trey and Nate debate their all-time favorite Sheamus figures, offering nostalgia, collector insight, and personal stories.
Building on the theme of collectibles and nostalgia, the creators analyze the evolution of wrestling figure lines—from legendary ‘80s and ‘90s superstars to whether future legends (like Sheamus and Ziggler) will one day get the same collector’s treatment. The episode concludes with a wish-list showdown for San Diego Comic-Con reveals, where both hosts reveal their top picks for dream figures and speculate on Mattel’s next big moves, setting up friendly competition for next episode’s Comic-Con Bingo challenge.

What is good, everyone? Welcome into My Damn Creators episode number 14. We're rocking and rolling here, man. Probably the busiest time, at least for me right now, that I've ever been through. I am always here with my buddy Nate. We got WSC Stage Creator in the house. How are we feeling, bud?
SPEAKER_00Feeling good. San Diego Comic-Con approaching soon. So today we're going to get into our wish list of what we'd like to see at San Diego Comic-Con. But right now, let's give a little update on our filming for our shows. What about you, Trey? How's filming going for MDT Live?
SPEAKER_01So we're we're still slowly but surely going. Um, I think I tell I I don't think we had a Fed update last week, but there's not a real update, no other than I'm still on that, I'm on the literal final sequence of the show. It's the last thing to do. And then of course we have to edit it. But man, it's so frustrating because, you know, in the opener, like I said, you know, we we brought the we got the Fed coming back, we got this podcast, we have everything going on. And this is the busiest I've ever been in my entire life, I think. And it just happened to coincide with the return of the Fed. And so it just it just is what it is. But you know, we're slowly but surely going. But man, it's unbelievable just how much like we thought time went by fast, but when you're as busy as I am in the current day right now, it just you blink and the day is over. So because you're just rolling. But we're getting there. Slowly but surely we're getting there, and I'm I'm hyped to get it out. I I'd love for it to be out before San Diego Comic-Con. That would be incredible.
SPEAKER_00Yeah, it's hard to like when you have all these other responsibilities and you're also doing all these other videos too. It's hard to like carve out that time in the day to have like some undisturbed work to just knock it out. And yeah, I mean, for me, you know, I'm filming a tag team match, fate fatal four-way tag team elimination match. It's going well, but I have like this this uh thing that I was waiting on that kind of halted filming. So I was filming like a little bit out of sequence and it was kind of screwing up my whole flow. So I finally got what I needed in today, but I just discovered there's something like a little broken with it, so I gotta like fix it up. So that's adding more delays to things, and uh yeah, hopefully, like I now that I got it, I wish I could say, like, oh yeah, I'm gonna get all filming done tomorrow or something, but like it takes a lot longer than that and the editing and everything, so it's probably hopefully gonna come out this weekend. So hopefully that all works out well. But it's good to know that you know you're almost finished with the filming and you're on the last match, so that's a really good sign. So yeah, hopefully you find some time to, you know, knock that out.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, this is something I'll also add to, because it's the return show. I really wanted it to, I didn't want it to just kind of be highlights. So every match is pretty much a you know, it's like the full-fledged thing. There's this isn't gonna be jumping from thing to thing. This is a full-fledged show. We talked a little bit about, I don't know how much we told about the told the audience about this, but the episode is going to be very it's gonna be very long. It's gonna be a very long episode, it's gonna be very, you know, detailed, what have you. And so I'm thinking for just because this is the return show, I felt like it needed some extra oomph to it. It needed a little bit more excitement to it. But I think after this, maybe you can transition those, you know, those matches can be highlights moving forward. I just wanted this first one to be a little bit more um, you know, not like it's obviously going to be story driven, but the, you know, I wanted the action to also take place and not just roll into the next thing and everything. So I think moving forward after this one, I think the transition and everything will be a lot smoother. Now, when we get to, you know, pay-per-view or something like that, probably it probably would slow down a little, but I think just getting over the hump of this first show is just a big task. Once that takes place, then we'll have a better idea of how to attack it moving forward. And I don't think the wait will be as long. So that'll be good, obviously. And of course, I won't I say as long, it's not gonna be a five-year wait, is what I'm saying.
SPEAKER_00So yeah, so the filming's gone like pretty well. It's just hard to you know balance everything and find time.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, it's not a it's not a uh it's not an issue of actively like while I'm doing it. That is going fine. Like, I do not dread filming, I do not run from filming. It's legitimately finding the time to sit down and actually do it, is more of the challenge for me. I think that the I I like the way a lot of it's shot. It's not perfect by any stretch, but I'm really happy and pleased with it, and I'm excited for everybody to see it. It's just uh, you know, we'll get there when we get there.
SPEAKER_00Yeah, awesome. And you recently got that Goldberg Ultimate Edition. I don't have it in my hands right now, but I want to ask like a couple questions. What's your overall thoughts?
SPEAKER_01I do have a full review, as we know. If you guys missed it, yeah, it is live on the channel, so you guys can go check it out. I do have one mint, and I do have one right here out of the box. And man, I am thoroughly impressed. I really, I really, you know, of course, we had our issues or we had our concerns coming in, but man, I'm really blown away by everything here. I think that if they make every single ultimate like this moving forward, it's gonna be, I think you're gonna kind of re-fall in love with the line, kind of. Like I think it's gonna give you a new excitement for the line. You know how you can kind of look at a figure and say, oh, I've seen this before, I know exactly how that's gonna be. I think this new implementation is gonna make you a lot more excited to collect, at least if you, you know, like to pose around your figures and do different things, but I really dig it. I I'm not having any like loosage or anything like that posing them around. I mean, I'm not saying I haven't put on a match or something like that, so I can't speak to that, but I'm very impressed with it. It feels really, really good in the hand. I don't think that I see any major concerns or issues. I don't know if you saw in the review, but I know that you were kind of concerned about the head tilt. If you don't push the head all the way on, you can still get kind of a let's see.
SPEAKER_00Obviously, yeah, like but when you do put it on, is it like completely like you can't do a little held head tilt at all? Let's see, let's see.
SPEAKER_01If you push it all the way down, yeah. If you pushed it all the way down, it doesn't get nearly the rock, obviously. But if you pull it up a little, yeah, you can still get a little bit of that tilt in there, which so that's the workaround, I guess.
SPEAKER_00Yeah, yeah.
SPEAKER_01So I mean that's that's more than you know, then not at all. And then I think that the hinge, I I saw I don't know if were people saying it was loose. Oh, really? No, I'm asking you, is that what people were saying about the the neck key? Oh, I haven't seen.
SPEAKER_00No, because I haven't seen it. But I'm I'm wondering, like, like, yeah, that's a cool feature, but do you think it's necessary? Do you think like it adds much value to have it all the way up and all the way down, as opposed to what what what we've had previously?
SPEAKER_01I think it's better than what we had previously. I think it's better than what we had previously. Like the fact that he can actually, if somebody was up in the like you can look all the way up. I know he's bald, of course. He's bald, so that helps. But to be able, I think to I did a pose where he's like kind of doing like, you know, pointing to the sky or whatever. I like that. I like to be able to do those different things. Now, tucking the tucking the neck, I think that that's that's pretty good. I like I like that. And I know that why would you need that? But I'd rather I'd rather have the option to push that down than what we had previously, where you can't even really look all the way down.
SPEAKER_00Yeah, because I mean, especially with hair, some figures can't look down at all, even like on normal elites. So if that can help in any way, like that could be a really good thing to implement moving forward.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, like uh like Bray Wyatt or Roman Reigns, like their beard and their long hair, it's gonna get in the way. That's just the way it is. But at least with this, you might can tweak it a little bit, you might could, you know, play around with it in the other way. I mean, besides actually like carving out the inside of the head or something, how are you gonna do that? Like essentially, had they done a double ball, and what I mean by double ball is you know how we usually just have this ball joint with a circle at the end that attaches in there, and that's called a single ball joint. What they would do is there'd be a ball here and a ball at the bottom, and you'd stick it in there, and it would allow it to kind of do us kind of like this. How this torso is articulated, it'd be similar to that. And it would have the neck hinge articulation. It would have not necessarily a hinge, but it would probably have a very similar range of motion because you'd be it'd be it's pretty much what this upper diaphragm is on.
unknownYeah.
SPEAKER_01Is a double ball peg. So that's how you're at you see how you can get that kind of 360, like you know, around the horn, you'd be able to do that with the with the head too. But I don't mind why they didn't yeah, I wonder why they didn't go with that then. I don't know. That's an interesting thing. I don't I'm not sure if I'm not sure. Um I'm hoping I'm hoping they would have, you know, maybe done some tests. I don't know how all that works, obviously, but yeah. I knew I know that all that I'm pretty sure everybody that works at Mattel, or at least in the WWE space, pretty sure they're collectors of all different things. So I know that they, you know, they know what's market appropriate. And you know, sometimes Mattel is handcuffed by not just you know the people that pay, you know, that pay them or whatever, write their checks or the higher-ups of Mattel, but there's also like laws and stuff they have to abide by. So I don't know. A double ball peg could come out. You could actually pop it out. So maybe that's uh choking hat. I don't know. I'm not saying that exists.
SPEAKER_00I'm just saying, yeah.
SPEAKER_01So I don't know, I don't know if that's a thing.
SPEAKER_00Is that what jacks used to have?
SPEAKER_01Yeah, I think so.
SPEAKER_00Because I remember those those like pegs used to pop out.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, I think they did. Um, I don't know how I think maybe the longer that the longer it is, the better it is. I'm not entirely sure on that though. I again I don't know all the ins and outs. I just I think people may uh people that are articulation marks, they might have preferred a double ball. I'm not entirely sure, but yeah, that's the Goldberg though. I really dig it though. Zerk, you said you had a question on it.
SPEAKER_00Uh well, it was it was talking about the the neck hinge, but what I really liked in your review that you mentioned was the fact that there's no like plastic cutting when he bends over at the at the waist. Because on the AEW figures, there was like cutting into the plastic a bit when you would articulate it. But yeah, the fact that you said that there isn't that on here, that that's a really good sign.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, I haven't noticed any damage. Like, and I even think that the women's figures had it. The Rhea Ripley had it, the China figure had it, and that was something that you know collectors were kind of peeved with, but I'm not I'm not noticing any.
SPEAKER_00Like I'm it had it on the Rhea. Oh, did it cut into our tattoos? Yeah, I'm pretty sure it did.
SPEAKER_01Let me see. I think she's right here. Let's see if we can see if we can get it right here. I think that maybe the rubber or whatever is a little different. Maybe the compound they used. I don't know. Let's see. Let's see. I'm gonna articulate that forward right there. Just hold that for a second and then come up. Yeah, I think there's like a little indentation. I don't know. I don't know if you'd be able to see it. There's like a small indentation in it, but on the Goldberg, I'm not seeing that. So I don't know, maybe it's because it's thicker. I don't know.
SPEAKER_00Uh yeah, I I I wish they could figure that out on like all part all parts, like the shoulders and the the hips or um the top of the quad. Like those definitely get cut into by the plastic. I think another thing someday they figure that out.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, I was gonna say, I know me and you briefly talked about this, but there are companies out there that make the crotch a soft, pliable material. And so when you do this, it'll kind of bend this and it won't impede anything, so you get a lot better range of motion and it'll hold better and things like that. I wonder if that's something they've thought about too. But again, you know, I there's like American laws and stuff that they have to abide by. And I don't know the ins and outs of that. I'm not saying that I do, so I don't know. They might they may not have even looked into it, or that may not even be something they've thought about, but I know that there's some stupid like there's probably times where they've tried to put some in the line and they couldn't because there was some dumb law about how small a piece could be, or you know, all these things. I don't know. American retail and all that interesting things, but yeah.
SPEAKER_00But you know, in uh WWE there's some news about Seamus leaving WWE, seemingly turning down a contract offer. They tried to restructure his deal and they seem to have lowballed him, or you know, in his mind, lowballed him. What do you think of the whole situation?
SPEAKER_01Man, I I think it kind of ties into Xavier Woods and Kofi Kingston and the you know, the Dolph Zigglars of the world, where you think these guys are lifers for sure. There's no doubt, there's no way this guy's leaving, and then they end up leaving for whatever reason. And I think um I think it's just a a part where they can't be bought at that point, you know. Maybe they feel like they've gotten enough money and they always know the door's kind of, you know, don't burn the bridge, but the door will always kind of be open. I'll go over here, I'll get my little bit of wrestling left in my career or whatever I want to do, and then I can come back when the time's right and maybe, you know, finish out with them, possibly. But yeah, it stinks, obviously. I love Seamus. He's actually one of the few wrestlers that have been around a long time that I love. You know, there's certain guys like I'm just he just comes to my mind right off the rip. But you know, the Miz has kind of more of a softer style in the ring, and there's some certain guys that maybe the little they're a little bit more safe. And then you have guys like Seamus and and guys like that that really push themselves and they don't care about the beating they take, and you know, they really try to sell the realism of it. And I've always loved that about Seamus. So I'm gonna miss that about him, you know. Brian Danielson or Daniel Bryan's another guy like that, where they'd beat the hell out of themselves, out of their opponent, and they really sold you the illusion. It was really fun to buy into their matches because they, you know, they they made it look authentic, and I really appreciate that about him. So him being gone is gonna stink for sure.
SPEAKER_00Yeah, the whole thing about like WWE lifers, and like that's a whole thing on social media about you know, all these WWE lifers, they think they're gonna stay with the company forever. But ever all these wrestlers are having like really long careers now and they're wrestling like past their 40s, into their 50s and stuff. So I think that's the reason why people aren't WWE lifers like Kofi Kingston, like Xavier Woods, like Seamus. It's like they don't, let's say they're paying them a million dollars, but they don't feel like they're getting a million dollars worth out of them because they want to push the younger stars, they want to bring in some new stars and they don't value them as much and they're injury prone and things like that. So they want to restructure their deals. That makes sense to me business-wise, but these guys they want to continue to wrestle and they're not ready to retire or anything, so they're not gonna take the the lower deal. So of course they're gonna leave and look for something better.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, you're a hundred percent right on that. That's 100% true. And I think you see that not only in WWE, you see that across other sports too, right? That you got the longtime vet, maybe he's a locker room guy and you know he's contributed a lot. Maybe he used to be a uh a big part of your franchise, and then you know, he's he's no longer a hu a bigger part. His percentage has shrunken, but you know, you don't want to just kick him out the door, so you try to find another role for him, you know, especially since maybe he's given so much to the team or the company in that sense. You want to take care of those people, or at least you should. I know people will have things to say about WWE and the way they you know treat their stars over the years and everything, which is valid, of course, in its own right. But yeah, I think that that's probably I guarantee you what we're saying here is probably what happened. I'm I'm 80, 90% sure that's probably the case. And so, yeah, it's just one of those things where you know people want to go test the water, see what they're about, and they feel they have more left in the tank. They, you know, in 2026, is Seamus going to be the big draw that he once was? Xavier Woods, these guys, and not that it's their fault necessarily, whether it's injuries or writing or you know, creative head direction, but it just is what it is, and they want to, you know, go see what they're about. And I guarantee you, if they do show up, there's gonna be some absolute bangers to be had. I mean, there's so many matches out there that they can provide. And so, yeah, I mean I'm excited to see where they go next and stuff, but I don't think WWE is necessarily going to be hurting in a in a sense because you know they it's kind of like next man up, they're gonna do what they want to do, and it just, you know, it's kind of the just way of the business, you know, it's just one of those wrinkles and parts of it.
SPEAKER_00Yeah, I mean, you're a big sports guy, you're a former college football player. So, like if you're in their shoes, do you take offense to this? Or is it just like the way the business do you like expect this? Because at that age, should you realistically be, you know, paid the same amount when you're not gonna be in the same positions that you once were when you were younger? Yeah, it's interesting.
SPEAKER_01You know, I think there's like different levels, right? You can look at it as part of a business sense, but I think that if you're gonna have a highly successful career, a lot of these guys probably have that chip on their shoulder mindset where they feel, you know, if they feel undervalued, oh, I'm gonna go show you what I'm about. I'm gonna show you that I'm still a draw in 2026, I'm gonna show you, you know, and prove you wrong. That's the kind of mindset that I would at least have. Of course, we don't know the conversation. It could have been completely mutual and completely respectful, or maybe, you know, some of those guys feel slighted and they want to, you know, go do it. But it like I get both sides of it. If I'm a wrestler, uh, it's just so hard to I I feel like I would want to compete, you know. I feel like I would want to go show that I can still do stuff. And, you know, these guys, they wanna, they want to do creative things. They love wrestling, they want to do these things. And I think them leaving kind of tells you the answer, if I'm being honest, right? I think if they would have restructured, taken a pay cut, just I'll just go play some video games, I'll do the meet and greets, I'll I'll be uh I'll answer an open challenge or you know, I'll put Oba Femi over or whatever. I feel like they probably kind of like the Rusev look, you know. I feel like and he's kind of already tested that. So, you know, maybe those guys just want to go see what they can do, but yeah, 100%. I can see like of course I see both sides of it.
SPEAKER_00Yeah. Yeah, it's it's interesting. I wonder how many other wrestlers are getting, you know, that phone call of like, let's restructure your deal. Like, we don't see, you know, the same value in you and you know, restructuring the deal. And as someone, you know, the the way I would see it as someone who might feel slighted is like, okay, I signed this five-year contract, but now you're going back on your word, and now you're trying to tell me what my value is and restructure the deal. That I can see why, you know, they could be frustrated with that. But I mean, it's also better than you know, straight up releasing you without offering you any sort of you know, position to stay.
SPEAKER_01So yeah, I think that's that probably goes back to them being in the company so long, they don't want to do them dirty, or at least they try their best, try their best not to do them dirty, you know. Well, they're like, well, at least we, you know, we tried to work with Seamus, he wasn't having it, or we tried to work with this person and they weren't having it. But, you know, it could be like a Alistair Black. I don't, I don't know if they did call Alistair Black. They may, you know, they just get a phone. I don't think they did. I mean, I think Zelina Vega, didn't she say she found out? I don't know if she found out on a stream or something. She saw it on a news report or something like that. Or I think I read that or saw that somewhere, maybe not. But, you know, these these um I think that's the right way to do business and stuff. You know, you give them a call, hey, come in, maybe meet in person, even. But, you know, you sit down with these people and you just talk it out, and at least they hopefully they give them that respect.
SPEAKER_00But yeah. Yeah, it's interesting. We were talking earlier about like guys like Seamus and the New Day and Dolph Ziggler. They're gonna be like the legends in the future for our generation, they're gonna be future Hall of Famous. Talk about that in terms of like the figures, you know, the legends now that we're getting, and you know, the legends in the future.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, you know, it's crazy because some of these guys we weren't all around for. We didn't get to see a bulk of their career. Maybe we didn't get to see all the details of their career or see them on TV week to week. But I'd like to think that, you know, guys like Ziggler and Seamus, you know, they've had these really decorated careers. And in the future, you know, the generations like us or even a little younger, a little older than us, they're gonna look back and they're gonna say, you know, this guy was a beast. He had all these accolades. Are they gonna put out these legends figures? I mean, it it could be Mattel, it could not be, but are they gonna put out these Legends figures of 2015 Dolph Ziegler? Are they gonna do his cash in moment as this big Legends figure in the future? You know, is he gonna get the same treatment as some of these other Legends of the past that maybe on paper don't have all the accolades that maybe a Ziglar or a Seamus or even the Nude have. I'm thinking, you know, guys like Mr. Perfect or somebody like that that is considered considered a big legend in a lot of people's eyes. And I'm not saying that he's not a legend. I think he is a legend as well. It's just, you know, these guys have these highly decorated careers and stuff. I wonder, will their image, or because it's a different era, where the will their images be carried over like a Mr. Perfect, you know, like some of these other talents in the future, like we look at Mr. Perfect today, if that makes sense.
SPEAKER_00Yeah, it's interesting. Like in the whole realm of collecting, I feel like these companies are targeting the nostalgia of people who grew up in the 80s and the 90s. And we're getting a lot of figures of those. Like we're getting whole rosters basically of like 80s, 90s figures. So I'm wondering like, one day are we gonna get like Rene Dupree and Eugene and Alex Riley, people like that, like to target us when we're the target demographic?
SPEAKER_01Yeah, that's what I'm thinking. And I'm thinking, you know, we're creeping up there where ruthless aggression is gonna be, and they already have tapped into that, right? They've tapped into that nostalgia already, some, but yeah, I'm thinking, you know, as years go on, I'd like to think that the timeline's just gonna stretch. You'll pull, you know, fewer and fewer from the, you know, let's just say they go back to the 60s. Well, maybe there's only one guy that can pull, like a Bruno San Martino. That guy, maybe in the future, they'll still continue to make him, but the rest of those, they probably are gonna skip over. Then you go into the, you know, later and later. And as they go later and later, the roster will expand, but it'll only get the S and A tier characters. But then that funnel as it stretches out, you know, it gets into the attitude era, we can get a couple of these mid-card guys. Okay, now we're in the Ruthless Aggression era. We can go a little bit deeper into these guys because he's remembered because you know, more people were around then. Like I'm thinking, like the Chris Masters of the world or or some of these other guys that you mentioned. Uh that's how, at least in my brain, I'm thinking it. But is that going to translate to businesses? Are they actually going to put those figures out? I don't know. That's that's a really, really interesting thing. And I don't know if Mattel, I mean, I'd like to think Mattel being a huge billionaire or billion-dollar corporation, they'd have some things long-term, at least that they have on paper, but I don't think their complete strategy is out there. So I think they're they may have goals and numbers-wise, but I don't know if they have if they're in the weeds of you know, long-term what collecting looks like.
SPEAKER_00I don't know. Yeah, it's interesting because yeah, like I said, they are targeting like the 80s, 90s nostalgia for, you know, the 40-year-old, 50-year-old collectors out there, I guess. So it's interesting, and hopefully, by the time we're in that age demographic, that you know, they may be targeting us, or hopefully collecting is still us healthy by that point, and our generation are collecting at that point to even be, you know, the target audience for that. But yeah, it's it's quite interesting.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, that this would be something maybe to ask Steve or something like that. Maybe I could ask him something like that at Comic-Con or something. Because now that we've kind of discussed it, I know we had it on paper to kind of discuss a little bit, but now that I'm talking it out, now my mind's kind of going haywire. I'd like to sit down with them and and ask them some of these things and see, you know, have they thought about those things or whatever. And I mean, they probably don't because they're so worried about the day-to-day, which makes sense. But it's definitely like there's you know, characters, they go forever. They can go forever. There's so many people they can make and all that, but you know, how far does the how far does the money go and character selection and I don't know, like will there be a a market for those legends? I feel like there will always be a market for for legends.
SPEAKER_00Well, I feel like there'll be a market for the legends, but I'm talking about like, are they gonna target our nostalgia and make like Ezekiel Jackson, you know, Alex Riley, David Otonga, like elites, you know, 20, 40, 30 years from now, you know?
SPEAKER_01Yeah, and I'd like to know what the um, you know, what's the numbers on that look like? You know, we get some of these legends that are really deep cuts that some of them do go to clearance and what have you, but they're still being made. There are official action figures that are being released of these characters that you know how many people actually wanted them, how many people are actually picking them up, and how's that going to translate? What characters that are equivalent to those characters will they make for our generation? You know, I think that's where we're kind of sitting at. Who are those characters going to be and are they going to be made when the time comes, is what we're kind of saying here, right?
SPEAKER_00Yeah, yeah. And I I wonder how successful that is right now, you know, doing those deep cut figures. Are they actually like selling out a lot of them? Or, you know, is it the people on the Mattel team, is it their nostalgia and they want to get them in the line?
SPEAKER_01It's probably a little bit of both, you know. I think that when you're making, I mean, again, they're figure collectors, maybe they can't fit them in every single place, but when they can fit them in, I think they are going to, you know, I think we've kind of seen this story play out before with certain picks and certain looks of certain characters, you know. And I think that sometimes I'm on board with it. Sometimes I'm like, nah, I wouldn't have picked that or what have you, but you know, they they continue to crush it. So we're gonna see, you know, what what comes? But yeah, that's a that's such a cool topic. That's something that I'll definitely try to remember for interview at at Comic Con because I I want to really expand on that.
SPEAKER_00Yeah, and you know, getting back to Seamus, do you want to go into our Mount Rushmore of our favorite Seamus figures?
SPEAKER_01So you want to do the Mount Rushmore now, or do you want to do our our Comic Con wish list?
SPEAKER_00I think we'll do the Mount Rushmore now since you know he was just the topic. Oh, perfect. All right, you want to go first? You want me to go first? Uh we'll go back and forth. Okay. In no particular order, or should we order him?
SPEAKER_01Uh let's go no order. I didn't really rank them. I probably could right off rip, but okay.
SPEAKER_00So my first one on the Mount Rushmore. It's something that's nostalgic to me because I was young, I was like 11 years old. Seamus was getting the big push, he won the Royal Rumble, and then at WrestleMania, he won the World Heavyweight Championship in this gear. Elite 17 Seamus is gonna be my pick. I really like that gear. The the red, the white, and the black. I think it's just iconic, you know, and very nostalgic for me. It's got the dull heavyweight, right? It's good. Does it come with a dull one?
SPEAKER_01I think it's like a dull gold. Yeah, I want to say it's like a dull gold. Maybe it's not a flat, you know, the flat ones they did that didn't have any paint. I want to say it had some paint on it, but it was really flat looking. It wasn't the shiny world heavyweight championship. I think I could be wrong, but we'll put in I'll put in images so you know we'll see about that. But that's an interesting pick. I wouldn't have had that on my, I don't think I have that one on my list. So we got a unique one coming in. This one for me is going to be the Elite 97. I really like the Elite 97. This is going to be the trench coat with the face mask and hats. It's got a lot of accessories. It's got double jointed arms, ridiculous head sculpt on this. I mean, it's it's dumb. This also got a top picks re-release, I think, which is pretty crazy that Seamus got a top picks in what was that, 2024, 2025, something like that, which is kind of crazy. But he got a top picks figure that's the same figure, I'm pretty sure. But that figure's really, really good, really underrated. It's you know, pissed off head. It's it's really, really good. And I really dig the the jacket that it comes with. I think that's a really strong Seamus. I think if you if you ranked all the Seamuses, I think that one would be near the top.
SPEAKER_00Yeah, that was on my list too. So yeah, that's that could be the best Sheamus. We we're yet to get the ultimate edition, so we're leaving them off the list. Yeah, but that's a good point.
SPEAKER_01I forgot to mention that. Yeah, we forgot to mention we're leaving off the ultimate. I think it's still coming, by the way. I think that ultimate edition is still coming. But yeah, we are leaving out the ultimate, just to be fair. It's not in hand yet. We don't know exactly what it's gonna look like and everything. Now, if it's going based off this Goldberg, if it's anything like this Goldberg, it's gonna be fantastic. But we the the jury's still out on him.
SPEAKER_00Yeah, Elite 97, that's on my list. Fantastic Seamus figure, head scan, accessories, articulation. It's like the only Seamus with the double jointed arms, I believe. So that's fantastic. But next on my list is going to be the Elite Greatest Hits, King Seamus. It's a redo of the Elite 13, and you know, the accessories are really cool. They redid the paint on the head scan and made it look 10 times better. And yeah, it's got the double jointed arms. I just mentioned Elite 97's got the double jointed arms. Since the re-release got those double jointed arms too, so I think that's uh a really great Seamus figure.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, it's also on my list. It's also up there. It's just, you know, obviously you love to look back in the past and say, oh, the OG is the OG, but you look at the OG SES punk. Okay, the greatest hits or the from the vault version is better. Objectively, like if you're adding articulation, it's got true effects. There's it's gonna be slightly better. Like, of course, OG packaging, OG whatever is really cool and nostalgic of it. But objectively, the figure is gonna be just a little bit better. And I have that greatest hits Seamus on there as well. Really good Seamus. One I don't have, I regret not picking that up. I want to say it was it for sale at WrestleMania, maybe. If it wasn't this year, it was last year. But I hey, I need to grab that one. That's one that I definitely need to track down. And so, what is your next one on the Mal Rushmore? My next one is going to be the best of pay-per-view Toys of Rush exclusive, Money in the Bank, Johnny Ace Build-a-Figure Elite Seamus in the red. I really like that one. I thought that one was solid. I think that was the one of the first Seamus's I ever got, I think was that one. And I really dig that one. I think that one's really nice. The red's really clean on it. It's got a solid head. Uh, I mean, it's a build-a-figure too, but I don't know. There's something about that Toys of Rust, that money in the Bank. Like, I think people will look upon that era very fondly.
SPEAKER_00Yeah, that was the last figure on my Mount Rushmore, and that has to be probably the best elite Seamus gear that they've ever made so far. I really love the old red with the the gold accents on it. Really cool Seamus figure. So, what is your last on the Mount Rushmore? Is that your full Mount Rushmore? That's my full list, yes. Okay, yeah. So I want to see which one's different for you.
SPEAKER_01Okay, my last one was a toss-up between two, and I ultimately went with the Elite 46, which is the smiling right when he won the WWE. I think it's the cash in on Roman gear, if I'm not mistaken. Yeah, I really, really like how simple it is. It comes with that new, that's the first time they redid that WWE championship. That's the first time we saw, which it feels like a lifetime ago, but and it kind of still feels fresh, the WWE championships we get, but that was the first time they switched from the molded WWE title, like the Cash In Seth, to the actual plated version was that Elite 46 Sheamus. And I think next to next to Finn Balor in that wave, I think it's arguably probably the best figure in that wave. But the Elite 46 Sheamus, I really like the piercings or the, you know, it had like the strands coming down on the beard. It was smiling. They did an alternate on a basic where he was kind of serious and pissed off. I wish that head would have came on it, but you know, he was doing the Seamus. Uh, what was the what was the official time on that?
SPEAKER_00When he cashed in or whatever 515 or 13 or something like that, five minutes.
SPEAKER_01That would have been a cool accessory to come with, too, if they would have done that on the cost picture. But yeah, I like that figure. It was between that and the Elite 58, which is the bar, you know, with the ripaway tuxedo, which I do like. I just felt like the face was a little off. I like the gear on that one, and then the rubber was kind of like eh, it wasn't my favorite, but those bar figures were pretty solid.
SPEAKER_00I can't believe we never got the bar with like the the kilts and the jackets. I had custom ones made like that, that would have been so sick, and they totally missed the opportunity. Crazy.
SPEAKER_01There, there was, and this is the stuff that I talk about with Mattel too, because they and we'll probably talk about this when we get into our wish list, I'm sure. But it's like if they if something happened, let's say in 2027, if they go the whole 2027 or 2028 and they don't make that look, you can forget it. They're not going back and getting that look. If they do not make a current figure while it's happening or in the time period that it happened, they will not go back and do it. If you if you look over the Mattel license, I'd like to see how consistent that is. And I'm not talking about throwback and legends figures. That doesn't count. I'm talking from the time Mattel took over the license in 2010. Like, when's the last time they made a 2012 figure? Not counting greatest hits, that's just straight re-releases. I'm talking, have they made a brand new figure of a look from 2014 in 2020 or 2021? Have they like when they don't do that? They don't go back and get these gears that they missed for whatever reason.
SPEAKER_00It's just not something they do. Unless it's like a WrestleMania series or a survivor series, SummerSlam. Yeah, we're not gonna get those. You know, I'm still waiting on, you know, what is it, Crown Jewel or Knight of Champions, Seth Rollins with the the leopard print blue, light blue? Not gonna get it because it's not SummerSlam or WrestleMania or anything, we're probably not gonna get that. So not gonna get it. That sucks.
SPEAKER_01One thing I will say is, you know, we did get the Wyatt family Bray Wyatt. But if if Bray Wyatt never passed away, do you think we would have gotten that figure? You think we would have gotten a Wyatt family ultimate Bray? I don't think that's interesting. I never thought about that. Yeah, it's possible, right? It's possible, but it's very I feel, and I could be wrong, if some if somebody has examples, let me know. Like you said, these pay-per-view build a figure waves, you can they can kind of get away with it because you know it's WrestleMania, it's Royal Rumble. But as far as you know, just a random look or whatever, they're just I they will not go back and do that, which I understand. They're trying to the focus has to be somewhere, and it's currently making top current day talents, it's focusing on legends. It wouldn't make sense to go back and make Seamus from that one raw. Like I understand that, but it's something that they don't really do a lot. So it's just one of those footnotes to think about. Like, this is what kind of worries me. Oh, I guess it will probably happen, and this may be on the wish list, but we still don't have a WrestleMania 41 John Cena. I know we have a basic or a couple basics, whatever. That still hasn't happened. When are they gonna when are they gonna do it? When it when's it no way they can just skip that and skip that? I mean, they've skipped it.
SPEAKER_00Where's it at? I don't know. That's weird. Yeah, so you you've completed your mount, Rushmore. I have too. You want to get into the San Diego Comic-Con wish list?
SPEAKER_01Yeah, I'm I'm absolutely down. So what we're gonna do now is we're going to go through, we have a few figures here that we've written down. We're gonna go back and forth and we're gonna get into our Comic-Con wish list, things that we really, really want to see. I may make a video on my channel expanding on this later on as we approach Comic-Con, but this is kind of my rough shot list that me and Nate have kind of put together. I don't know his list, he doesn't know mine. And I think next week we're gonna do something where we do kind of a bingo card situation where we write down what we think Mattel will do based off of, you know, history or or things that we've maybe some different leaked lineups or something like that. And we're gonna do a bingo card and we're gonna have like kind of a challenge going on to see who can get the most guesses correctly of what Mattel will do. But today we're doing our wish list for what we want to see from Mattel, and I'll let you take it away with the first pick if you're down.
SPEAKER_00Yeah, sure. So I don't know if you know about this particular look, but I would love to see the fiend, a figure of the fiend, but that he was actually planning to bring the fiend back before he passed away, and there's this leaked look of him.
SPEAKER_01And I'm pretty sure they put it in the WWE 2K video game of like the predator, like it's a lot more, it's like yeah, it's like really yeah, I've seen that, and it is really sick. That would be a crazy figure, yeah. And that would be a really fun way to do the fiend differently, right? And that would also be a cool way to get another Bray Wyatt out that's not the same as other Bray Wyattes. I think that's a sick figure. That's not something I even thought about. So I think that would be really awesome. It would really stand out on a shelf, too.
SPEAKER_00100%. Like it would be incredible to see that come to life in figure form, and it's got like the lantern of the fiend's head as well, which is really cool. So, yeah, it looks insane. I would love to see them put that into a figure at some point. But what is your your first pick? My first wish.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, my first wish here is going to be John Cena. I know, everybody's favorite, but this is not modern day John Cena. This is going to be a 2007 John Cena, preferably with the green shorts. Okay. I'd take Royal Rumble 07. I would take even, you know, even a redo of Mania 23 would be cool, but I really want just green shorts, maybe his match with Umaga, maybe there's just different looks there. I don't really care. Just make an ultimate, I preferably ultimate. But if they redid the Elite and it was good enough, I'd take it. But now, now that we have this Goldberg, I need I need a John Cena with this, with this look. I need a John Cena with this look. And now that I'm looking at it, you might be able to cut. I mean, this kind of looks like John Cena's build. You might be able to make an ultimate out of that. I don't know. Might be something that you can do.
SPEAKER_00Now that's interesting because John Cena had the like the underwear kind of showing above, you know, out of the shorts. Does it matter to you that you lose that look with the articulation when you bend them over?
SPEAKER_01Uh well, I mean, I guess if they printed it onto the lower of this, that'd be something. I don't know how well they could do that, but what if they printed it on?
SPEAKER_00Well, that's what I'm saying. But when you bend it, you're gonna lose the the look.
SPEAKER_01I mean, I guess in the back it would show. Yeah, it's it'd depend. But then it might, if they don't paint it all the way, it'll just be skin tone. Yeah, they definitely need to put it in there though. Yeah, maybe they could maybe they could play around with oh, I don't know if they could do that. I was gonna say, maybe they could play around with doing like cloth shorts over that. I don't know, that'd be interesting.
SPEAKER_00Yeah. So my next pick, that was a really cool pick there. My next pick is gonna be Yankees Gear CM Punk from Knight of Champions 2012. I think with a new head scan, preferably. Now, I think there was a basic head scan that was good. If it was repainted, that could work really well. But I would really love to see like a new head scan with that facial hair that he had at the time and that Yankees gear. That would be incredible.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, that's a gear that I really love. I love that gear. I think white pinstripes is clean as hell. You also, you know, it's crazy because, you know, in that leaked lineup we're getting for WrestleMania, apparently this year, they're doing the black and white WrestleMania 24 gear, and then we have that we have the Intercontinental Championship box set that's very similar to that Knight of Champions gear. I mean, what would make it so much different? You switch the head and then you give it some pinstripes. It wouldn't be that different than that figure right there. So you would think that'd be something that they'd like to do.
SPEAKER_00Well, they're gonna do a whole torso swap.
SPEAKER_01Or would they give it the newer torso? Would they give it the older torso because he was younger then? You think they would do that? That's interesting. They'd probably give him the older torso, I think. Yeah, I think so too. Probably the Daniel Bryan style torso. But the I I think I've always said that I think CM Punk is one of those guys that can get away with that torso, so it doesn't bother me as much. I do love obviously the new one, but I do think that he's one of those guys that doesn't bother me. I think it's because he kind of I don't know, I think it's maybe the tattoos and stuff that cover it that don't it doesn't stand out as much. I'm just sick of saying I don't want to see it on Roddy Piper. I don't want to see this on Edge if he comes back. I don't want to see this on Chris Jericho if he comes back, you know?
SPEAKER_00Yeah.
SPEAKER_01But that's a good pick. I like that pick right there. My next pick is going to be Demon Finn Balor from Honestly, I think I'd rather have Mania 42 at this point. I loved Mania 39, but I don't think they're gonna do it. Also, he lost the first.
SPEAKER_00Another figure they skipped over, right?
SPEAKER_01I know that's another one. It's just I think that the demand has been there, though. I think they've seen the outcry, the different things that have been made. I think they know that we want a new demon fin, but now that we have the Goldberg again, I want the I want the ball joint torso on a demon fin. I don't want the like I love the Judgment Day Ultimate, but now I want the new ball joint. Maybe, maybe it works out. Maybe we waited on a demon for a reason. Maybe we'll get the the newer improved version and it'll be a lot better than that original.
SPEAKER_00That's true. Yeah, I would love to see a demon, a new demon finbella finally as an ultimate as well, because that first ultimate demon was incredible, but now it's quite outdated. So a new one would be great. My next pick is going to be WrestleMania 31 Bray Wyatt. Now, this is interesting because Bray Wyatt, you know, I'm a big Bray Wyatt fan, and I wanted to collect all his looks back in the day. And he had this like I think it was like a a goat or a sheep or something shirt, and it's like find me, or it might have been a wolf, but it was a really like iconic Bray Wyatt shirt. And they never made like an elite of that. So I would love to see WrestleMania 31 Bray Wyatt from his match with The Undertaker.
SPEAKER_01That would be a cool one. And again, that's another thing where I just, unless it's a WrestleMania build-of-figure wave, they're probably not going to make that, right? They're not. I doubt that they're going to make that. We also just got the ultimate Bray. So I doubt we would ever see that in an ultimate, but it would be so I think that I mean they got to reuse this body at some point, right? They've got to reuse that. So maybe WrestleMania PLE Amazon Ultimate or something. I don't know. I don't know what they're thinking there, but that would be cool. I like that pick. Yeah. For me, my next one is going to be a X-Factor X Pac. I know that's kind of a weird pick, but this is, you know, early 2000s X-Pac. I love I loved X-Pac. And I think that I feel like we have every damn X-Pac under the moon except.
SPEAKER_00They're doing the most with him. Right? Yeah. They're getting all his stuff done. They're really committed to doing him. Yes.
SPEAKER_01They have like the promo gear DX. They have DX gears. They have one, two, three, kid. They got six. I mean, they've done so many looks. Yeah. Why not chalk up one more? Give us X Factor. Give us Just Incredible, too. That'd be cool. But yeah, X Factor, X Pac. I went ahead and added it to the list. It'd be a cool nod. Maybe they could throw that in, and that would be a fun, a fun, different way to include X-Pac than what we're getting. And we do know we're getting a new Ultimate Monday Night Wars, which will be sick, but I think that an X-Factor X-Pac would be really cool as well.
SPEAKER_00Yeah, I feel like they've like almost completed all of his major looks, more so than any like other legends. Like some legends, they haven't even like completed all their looks, and they're way bigger stars than you know, X-Pac in respect to him. Respect to him. But yeah, like they're they've done a lot of X-Pac. But my next pick is AJ Styles, WrestleMania 41. That's sick white gear. Yeah, he's lost WrestleMania. I'd love to see that.
SPEAKER_01God in heaven, this would be this is one I forgot about, but this is sadly one of those ones that's probably gonna pass us by because it's just unless again they do that WrestleMania build-a figure wave. I d like we got the network spotlight WrestleMania 32 version or 33, was it 33 version? WrestleMania 33. We got that. People have been begging for a re-release of that. Still haven't seen that. WrestleMania 32, we got in what a basic people really wanted to see that in elite form as well. There's a lot of AJ Styles that they just have passed over. So I'm really I hate to say it. That's probably they're probably that probably haven't even looked at that, even though that is one of the best, if not the best, AJ Styles gear ever. I would love to see that. I forgot about that one. That one should be on my list. I I hope we see that, especially if they did it with the ultimate here. God, that would be nice. Yeah.
SPEAKER_00Well, now that he's uh technically uh a legend now and he's in the hall of fame, put him in the legends line, and you can go crazy. Yeah, yeah, you could. You could even do a legendary, yeah. You could, yeah, get some some use out of that mold. Although we got the new articulation, so they can do some new stuff with that. But yeah, so many WrestleMania gears, WrestleMania 32, 33 re-release, this latest WrestleMania 41, his retirement match, him when he won the title, a re-release of that blue and white gear that's iconic. So many things they can do with AJ Styles, and yeah, Legends Line, perfect spot to do it. Oh, god, man.
SPEAKER_01They've and that AJ Styles is one of those guys that they've dropped the ball on for years on his figures because of the formula and stuff, and so they could really make up for lost time with recreating some of these iconic gears better than they ever could have back then. I think that would be fantastic. But it's gonna go back to our point of them skipping over those current day things when they were happening in real time. So I don't know. But next up for me, I have updated Rusev. I want to see an updated Rusev. I think that, you know, that Elite 65, I think, is the last time we saw Rusev. And it was a good figure. I liked it at the time. It had kind of a weird head sculpt because it was like misprinted a lot, but that was a cool figure. And I think that having an update, maybe give him a new torso, double jointed R, it could be a really nice, you know, hefty figure that would do really well. And it'd be a perfect, he he's that'd be a perfect like current elite line figure.
SPEAKER_00Yeah, 100%. Yeah, we definitely need a new Roosevelt ASAP. And my next pick is gonna be a current superstar as well as uh updated us in theory with the shaved head. I know that would be.
SPEAKER_01That would be a good idea, and you could mark it as like, oh, you can do masked man or Austin Theory because it's a good like blank base body.
SPEAKER_00Yeah, for sure.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, that'd be that'd be pretty dope. Yeah, I knew that would be on your list, though. Uh next up for me is going to be a promo gear slash return Brock Lesnar. So I'm thinking the bag gear jeans with the boots, the belt buckle, shirt, all jacked, updated head, cowboy hat. That's a money elite right there. Easy layup right at the basket. Give it to us, Mattel.
SPEAKER_00Yeah, they gotta do the belt buckle. Like, I hope they don't just do it with the regular jeans like they've done in the past. The belt buckle will make it, you know.
SPEAKER_01Agreed. 100% agreed. We need to see that take place. That would be really cool. Even if they did it in the couldn't they do it in the SummerSlam Elite line?
SPEAKER_00They 100% could, yeah. So that would be one are those leaked? The SummerSlam Survivor Series WrestleMania for the next year.
SPEAKER_01The WrestleMania is, I don't think the SummerSlam is, at least off the top of the dome. So I don't know. But yeah, the WrestleMania Yeah, the WrestleMania Elite leaked lineup is Joe Hendry, CM Punk. Who was it? CM Punk, Umaga, and who is that last diesel, which is I don't know, not the greatest, but uh the builder figures Armando Estrada, so that'd be kind of cool.
SPEAKER_00That's sick, yeah. And is it your turn? Yeah, uh it's my turn, yeah. It's your turn. I would like to, yeah, I would like to see a new elite or ultimate Obafemi with a new head scan.
SPEAKER_01This goes back to our point. Yeah. So we've kind of fantasy booked this. We were talking back and forth before we jumped on. We do know that uh more than likely, every Comic-Con, they always reveal some sort of ultimate ring. There's probably gonna be another ultimate ring. Are they going to do us dirty and put an Oba first time ultimate with that ring? I think that would make me mad. This is the thing, man. There's only three choices it could be. It's either going to be an Oba Fimi with that ring, it's gonna be a referee ultimate first time with that ring, or it's gonna be that damn pinto we saw Mattel Creation's revealed with that ring, and people are going to be absolutely pissed.
SPEAKER_00That wouldn't make sense to me because it's like WrestleMania 41, especially if it has the jacket, because it has that logo on it, the WrestleMania 41 logo, but it could be a WrestleMania ring, so but then it would be outdated. So I don't know. I would bet that is probably a raw Netflix ring with a black mat. That's just my guess. But yeah, over Femi, I I could see him also coming with the like regardless if he comes with the ring or not, I could see him come with an NXT championship because I don't think we've seen the new version of the NXT Championship. So him or Trick Williams could get a new uh a new elite and come with that title.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, I could see that. Yeah, no doubt. I I think an Oba Ultimate and maybe a Trick Ultimate will probably be revealed at Comic-Con. And you made me think here, you know, we saw the Pinta silhouette, right? That's all we saw. The Pinta silhouette was the Mattel Creations revealed event. Last year's Comic-Con, they showed a prototype of the WrestleMania Amazon exclusive ultimate that was the rock from WrestleMania 40. So do you think this year's will be a WrestleMania 41 ultimate and it'll be Pinta as the Amazon exclusive?
SPEAKER_00That could be a thing. Interesting because the rock was a repaint. So I'm not sure if the same applies here. That is the true statement.
SPEAKER_01It was a repaint. But I don't know. They they they have quick turnaround. They have quick turnaround. Maybe maybe at the time we didn't know that we were going to be getting a penta ultimate, and maybe that's just what they showed, and we're gonna get two penta ultimates. That wouldn't shock me either. A mainline one and then a WrestleMania.
SPEAKER_00Yeah, I it could be a Mattel Creations Penta, the Mania 41, and then maybe they reuse that body and put it with the ring and give you a different attire. So who knows?
SPEAKER_01Maybe, maybe. I don't know, man. That Mattel's uh, you know, they they always know how to get you though. That's why you know they did first Rhea Ultimate was with the ring, first Jacob Fatu Ultimate was with the ring. And I remember when I was showing, I think last year's Comic-Con, I'm literally showing the ring in the case, like going through on preview night that Wednesday, and I'm sitting there filming the ring, and I'm like, guys, it just hit me who's gonna come with this ring, and it just pissed me off. And it ended up being Jacob Fatu. So I'm sure it will be somebody that is highly sought after and everybody wants. So whoever that might be in ultimate form, which would be Oba Fimi, which would be Pinta, feel like that's just the way to go. But we'll have to see. That should be fun, though. I'm excited to see, you know, what all comes of it. But I guess is it my turn? It is your turn. Okay, this one it may be cheating. I think the rest of mine are completely possible. But this one I put on here because I've heard through the rumor mill, through the grapevine, we've seen them sign a deal. Even if it's in render form, I want to see Hardy Boy figures. Now, this could be I'm thinking ringside exclusive box set. That's just the trend. Steiner Brothers, Dudley's. It would make sense that we get uh Hardy Boys. I'm thinking like 2001 era. We haven't really seen definitive. Yeah, definitive early 2000s Hardy's. So that's what I would guess, and it'd be ringside exclusive. And God in heaven, there is so much they could do there. And if they played their cards right and they did the accessories right, it could be an all-time box set. If they did it right, you know, Jeff coming with the screw, they both come with screaming heads, and Jeff's got the colorful hair and the mesh shirt, and he's got, you know, I don't know if it'd have the ball joint, you know, I don't know if it'd have the ball joint torso. That'd be cool if they did, but even if they don't, they can't give him that same damn torso that the fan takeover had. I know they fixed it on his second ultimate, but they could really make an all-timer figure. I'd just be really excited to see, you know, what they come with and everything. But I'm hoping for any Hardy, any Hardy boys at all. I don't care if they're basics, I just want to see the Hardee's return and get more figures. But an ultimate box set would be absolutely incredible.
SPEAKER_00Yeah, remember how hype that epic moment set was on ringside for legendary times, man.
SPEAKER_01Legendary times, just we got entrance greats, Jeff. An epic moment that was like, and then Kurt Angel returned, or we got his first elite, so it was a crazy time in collecting what was that, 2016, 2017? So 2017, yeah. Yeah, just electric times, man.
SPEAKER_00Electric times. And as for my next pick, it's gonna be another current one. It's gonna be uh Carmelo Hayes, a new Carmelo Hayes elite, maybe with the United States championship, and a brand new head scan. Because I like the smiling head, but I feel like we need like a straight face head that they really captures likeness. The first one, not a fan. So hopefully they do him justice on the next one.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, I agree. I would like to see that too. I like Carmelo Hayes, and I think that that would be a really nice addition. My next guy is also a current day talent, and I think this was on my list for Mania that they didn't make, but I want to see Ethan Page, but I want him to come with the Canadian version of the North American Championship. I think that's something that they just kind of skipped over. I think that was such a layup to include, and they haven't given it to us yet. So I think that, you know, they always like to you can get the most out of your molds. We've already gotten the North American Championship a few times. You can redo that, give us something new and extra with a new Ethan Page.
SPEAKER_00Yeah, I think that's still definitely on the cards, but you know, they have about a year to get that in the plans, or else like they're never gonna revisit that. So they better get onto it. But yeah, that's a layup, too. I think for the next Ethan Page, they should definitely go with that. But on my next pick, it's gonna be a throwback. It's gonna be Shawn Michaels from WrestleMania 22 in that gray gear that he had against uh Vince McMahon. And maybe he comes with a trash can and a letter.
SPEAKER_01That would be very, very sick. That could I could see them doing that now. If they do that, I don't want to see the basic 100 head. I feel like they've done the basic 100 head so many times since giving it to us. They gotta give us some new Sean heads, man. It has been crazy with the Sean. They the only time we get new Sean, like even when they give us new Sean heads, they're not even new, it's just like new hair with the same faces. Like, we need some new faces for Shawn Michaels, especially from the Ruthless Aggression era. So, yeah, I would love to absolutely see any Shawn Michaels, man. It's so funny. Remember early days of Mattel, they would never do Shawn Michaels in pants, especially Ruthless Aggression. And we were like, man, can we can we get some damn pants, Shawn Michaels? And then finally the damn broken. It seemed like we were getting a lot of them there for a minute, and now they've kind of cooled out. I know we're getting the Hall of Fame Elite, which is cool too, which I'm looking forward to. Still comes with that damn basic head. But I'm all down for any Shawn Michaels figures. You know, they're they're really, really good. So that would be cool. Speaking of Shawn Michaels, I think the year that he wrestled Kurt Angle, we had the Kurt Angle boots. The Kurt Angle boots that I reference all the damn time. I think he wore those boots in that matchup. So I don't give a damn if they give us any Kurt Angle under the sun. They have released so many Kurt Angles and they skip over these damn red, white, and blue boots that that he that were iconic to me at least. Put these damn boots in the line before I have a conniption. They I think they've attempted it. I think they tried to get it to the Monday Night Wars line, but he never wore them during the Monday Night Wars, so it kind of ruined that. I just want to see Kurt Angle boots. I don't really give a damn. Just give me the damn boots, man. It's been way, it's been so over 10 Kurt Angles, no boots. That's absurd.
SPEAKER_00Yeah. I mean, Kurt Angle, we're getting the WrestleMania 21 Shawn Michaels, one of my greatest, one of my one of the greatest matches in my like fandom of wrestling. Like that's up there as one of my favorite matches, Shawn Michaels, Kurt Angle. It'd be great to get a Kurt Angle from that match so you can have those two figures together. And does it have those boots? WrestleMania 21.
SPEAKER_01I'm pretty sure he wore those boots in that match. It's a perfect layup. I don't like ideally they would come on a hair Kurt Angle, but I don't really give a damn. I don't care. Just get the boots in the line, then I can do the fix-ups. You know what I mean?
SPEAKER_00Yeah, I still have yet to get that like 2005 like Legends Kurt Angle. I really want it, but it was hard to get for me. Uh, we still need that like ECW one with the red, white, and blue, the stripes. That's a really cool gear I'd love to see for Kurt Angle. But uh, going again with another one, I would love to see they're doing all these re-release lines. I would love to see some updated big dog Roman Reigns with the vests and like adding the gauntlets, doing true effects head scans. I think that'd be really cool for the Roman Reigns collection.
SPEAKER_01Is there a specific gear that you would like to see from the big dog era?
SPEAKER_00They never made an elite of WrestleMania 33 and 34. Those could be cool, never done, yeah. Yeah, 100% black and charcoal or the black on black look with the yeah, and and they could really because the first Roman Reigns with the Roman Reigns logo on the chest, the WrestleMania 31 one, it wasn't really well done. Like there was a lot of details on the vests they didn't do well, the head scan was weird. They could really go back and do a great figure of that.
SPEAKER_01Do you think now this is interesting? Do you think it's possible they probably wouldn't because he's currently on TV? Could they do a Legends Elite Roman Reigns from the big dog era? Ooh.
SPEAKER_00Now, like a total new figure or a repaint? Because if you want to do a repaint, you can do it in the greatest hits. Now, wait, have they keep have they stopped that line, that re-release line?
SPEAKER_01Kind of, because the greatest hits now, like they're ongoing right now. There are like four or five re-release lines, and they change the rules as they go. So it's kind of difficult to get a read on what they're going to include. Like we got the shield Roman Reigns, that's kind of what you're talking about, double jointed arms, true effects, whatever, but it was a shield instead of a big dog. And so I don't know why they couldn't do that with I like the Elite 65 Roman Reigns. I like, you know, any the network spotlight would be cool, you know, if they really and it'd be really cool if what they did what you were saying, but make brand new heads based off of those eras. So completely new sculpts of big dog Roman Reigns when he had the you know just the goatee and whatnot. Like there's there's a lot on the table there they could do.
SPEAKER_00Yeah, 100%. But like even now they struggle to like try and be inventive with their Roman Reigns elites and doing new head scans for tribal chief.
SPEAKER_01So we can't even get a damn we get we get old heads on 2026 Roman Reigns. I can't even get a Superman punch logo on my pants over here.
SPEAKER_00I know, right? But like he's one of the biggest stars they have, or the biggest star currently. So, you know, pump him out and do better figures of ones you've done in the past or ones that you haven't even done. It's a good point. It's a good point.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, I didn't put any surprisingly, I didn't put any Roman Reigns on my list, which I know will shock everyone, but yeah, I I Roman Reigns is always on my list. I'm all for any new Romans, any new things they want to do. Also, you gotta give them the damn acknowledge me hand, man. How do we not have the acknowledge me hand has to come on every Roman Reigns? You have to have the acknowledge me hand. You can't even do the acknowledge me with the black and white glove. I was going to use that attire for the return episode, and I couldn't because they didn't give us the acknowledged me hand. Now, could I have customized it? Sure. I didn't want to wait anymore. I'm not doing it. I dove right in, but yeah, that would have been sick to do. And yeah, we need more Roman Reigns. I know people are gonna be like, we need more Roman Reigns. We need more Roman Reigns. All right, that's just the end. Yep. Uh next up for me, I have A-Train. You know, we talked about this with Magic. A-Train is like the Albert figure was incredible. There's some really good. He has a really good track record of all his different characters, but we don't have A-Train, and they could just do it up with all the damn hair on it. It would be such a sick figure, and you could put it on your ruthless aggression shelf.
SPEAKER_00Absolutely. Yeah, A-Train would be awesome. That's like, in terms of him as a wrestler, that's like the the I the most I identify with is the A-Train character. You know, Lord Tenzai came, that was a cool look, but A-Train, you know, that's what I remember from him. Yeah, but going into my next pick, I'd like to see a J Uso in shorts. Over the years, he's worn shorts a lot, and he's got those leg tattoos. So SummerSlam 2025, he wore some shorts. He's worn shorts with Jimmy Uso and some matching gears. I would love to see a J Uso in shorts, considering they love to pump out J Uso. Try something different.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, that goes back to 2016, man, when they first did their heel turn. And when they came out in that black and white gear and shorts, I wanted that in figure form so bad, and they never did it. And now he's brought back shorts. So now, maybe with some new innovations and stuff, you know, we're seeing these rubber shirt shorts molds and things that make the figures better. It'd be really sick to see them do a J Uso in shorts, and then you know, you could customize or maybe make a Jimmy to match or whatever, you know, or you know, that that would be really sweet. It'd be really cool, maybe, if they could, you know, dip their toe back in the line, like we say, and maybe give us a pair of Usos with the shorts. But yeah, that would be really sick. I if they're gonna make a new J Uso, which they obviously are, let's get some different looks. They'll just use the jogger mold over and over. I think that would be really cool. Um my next one is gonna be updated JBL. You know, we've seen a few JBLs, but that Elite 23 is so old now. But you could get WWE Championship, even hell, dude. Legends Ultimate of JBL, cowboy hat, towel, jacket, WWE Championship, definitive look of him with the black and you know, gold gear, fat pack going on. It's a sim that's so easy to do, and it would be the front and center of your ruthless aggression shelf.
SPEAKER_00Yeah, it's like those two JBL elites we've got in. I don't agree with those torso choices. We need like a fatter torso JBL, and you know, maybe there's some things behind the scenes. Who knows? Maybe they presented to him and he's like, I don't want to look like that. I mean, we had the same issue with Ric Flair when we needed old man Ric Flair with a you know thicker torso, and they gave him this really lean, shredded torso for some reason and just ruins the whole figure, you know. So, yeah, JBL. If they can correct that torso, we 100% need that look back in the line.
SPEAKER_01Dude, that god, that would just be so I'm literally I can picture the figure, it's so easy. An ultimate JBL, like make it happen.
SPEAKER_00Wouldn't you have that? And my next pick is Mr. Iguana from triple A. If they can get the triple A figures, I think that'd be uh a layup to do with uh Yeska. I think that's the puppet name. But yeah, that's a that's an easy thing that they could 100% do if they can do the triple A figures, which I think soon enough they will be able to do.
SPEAKER_01I think we will see Mr. Iguana. I think it's pretty much uh not a hundred percent guarantee, but I think it's pretty, I'm pretty sure we're gonna see that. And maybe they give us a few different triple A characters. I think that'd be awesome, like you said. They're very tweetic, they're awesome, and yeah, they're just fun. I mean, uh who doesn't want that? So yeah, I think we'll actually see that. But speaking of which, I'd like to see Demonito in the in the line there with Finn Balor. Would be cool.
SPEAKER_00That would be cool, yeah.
SPEAKER_01Um, next up is a redo of Elite 45 Seth Rollins. Now, it doesn't have to be Elite. I'd take an ultimate, but again, as we know, they don't like to do this. Now, I think the slam dunk pick for this is Amazon Ultimate SummerSlam P. L. E. exclusive, you know, like we saw at WrestleMania. They need to do it right there. They need to give us a brand new Seth with this for the new formula, with the white and gold, give us new heads, give us both championships, entrance vest. It's such a layup at the basket, wide open, and we still don't have it yet. So that I don't care if they did great assists, like I'd be good with an elite, but I think it'd really do it well to do Ultimate Edition because you'd really get all those details wrapped up in there. But that's one of the all-time gears, one all-time figures, you know, and it's one that people look upon fondly that I would really like to see redone.
SPEAKER_00Yeah. And my next pick, I mentioned this last week with Magic, I believe, but I would love to see a Paul Heyman Elite. We've only gotten one modern-day Paul Heyman Elite, or two if you count, a re-release. But let's get a new like pinstriped like attire, Paul Heyman, and get some expressions. He's such a like he has such great facial expressions, so many different like expressions he can do. So so many different head scans he can play with there and like break the streak, his look, his shocked face when Brock broke the streak. I think that'd be a great interchangeable head. So, yeah, I think with how prominent Paul Heyman is on the show, I think 100% we need more Paul Heymans.
SPEAKER_01I'm actually shocked that we have not seen that. And I don't know how they do it, but I I think he could have an ultimate if they really wanted to do that. They wanted to do an ultimate edition, I think they could get away with that. But yeah, I'd be down for any Paul Heyman's. I remember when that remember how rare, you know, the they had the builder figure, but then they did the basic. Remember that basic figure in the Navy? That was the only Heyman that you could really get. Yeah. Yeah, everybody was losing their minds over that one. That would have been cool to see. On my list, I think that's my completed list. I was sitting here trying to think if I could add one or two more. And I think besides the obvious picks, I'm trying to think of one. I mean, you know, the ones that come to my brain, I don't know if they're either able to do, you know, A, are they able to do them? B, would they do them if they could? You know, you have the Al Snows, the Spike Dudleys, the Ravens, the Hardcore Hollies, all these, you know, talents that kind of goes back to our point about legend status, you know. Um like would any would anybody really consider those guys legends necessarily? But they people want them represented because they were, you know, they were an integer, you know, they were integrated during that era. They they were a big part of that era. I mean, in big part, you know what I mean. They were remembered finally for that for their work. So, you know, any I just really want to see, you know, like last year we got Steve Blackman, that was massive. Jesse Ventura returned to the line, that was massive. I want to see stuff like that.
SPEAKER_00Yeah, 100%. Like, there's so many like lower card guys that are getting made from the 90s and the 80s. I think we could definitely get that from the 2000s, but maybe they also want to wait, like I was saying before, when we're older and we're the target demographic that they're going for, and then they can go into the deep cuts and stuff like that. Speaking of those ruthless aggression guys, I wonder if they could get Maven right now. How well would a Maven figure sell?
SPEAKER_01I think it would even do better than it would have. You know, he's he's blown up on YouTube, he's had his channel, he's been very popular with wrestling fans, and with him being able to plug the figure too, I think that's so easy. Like, people are you could create I mean, my god, that's an easy, easy one that they could do. They could put him in the Royal Rumble Elite line from when he eliminated the Undertaker, like comes with a steel chair to concuss him with. There's just there, yeah. I think a Maven would do well. I'd buy the hell out of a Maven figure. Yeah, they should 100% like seek that out and get it. It'd be cool. It'd be cool. What if he came with a tough enough trophy? That would be sick as hell. Imagine if they could get that. You know, that would be really cool. I think people would be on to that.
SPEAKER_00Yeah, 100%.
SPEAKER_01Is that your list? Are you done with your list?
SPEAKER_00Yeah, that is my list. I think we ran through a lot of cool figures. Next week, we will do that bingo card as well, see how many we get right. But yeah, I really hope we get at least some of these figures on this list. Maybe they'll save it for next year, the year after that. But I think, you know, some of the current day guys, I think that's definitely doable.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, I don't there's nothing on this list, maybe besides the hardies, that I'm like, nah, can't happen. You know, and the hardy's may could happen. If they I mean, if they have a deal, they're gonna make hardy boys. If they're able to do hardys, they're gonna plug hardys all day. They could do legends, they can do exclusives, they could do ultimates, they could, I mean, they're gonna plug those guys as as often as possible. And I feel like the Mattel team kind of does like an AEW thing where they get a new wrestler, they want to kind of spam them in there because they don't know how long they'll have them. So they want to put those guys in. And I think the Hardy boys will probably be that way. If we get if we get the Hardeys, they're gonna they're gonna send Hardeys out a lot. They're gonna put them out as often as possible because they know they don't know how long they have them. So, you know, the deal they put them out and stuff. So yeah, I want to see as many as possible. But I think that pretty much wraps up our episode for today. You got anything else you'd like to add?
SPEAKER_00No, I'm just excited for the reveals. You're gonna be there in person, so I'm a little jealous, but yeah, it's gonna be gonna be a lot of fun in a couple weeks.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, I'm I'm hyped. I it's just crazy. I feel like yesterday, kind of like WrestleMania, you know, you're there and then a whole year goes by and you're there again. You're like, my God, how? How is this possible that you know like years went by that fast? But yeah, I'm excited. We're gonna cover it all. It'll be, you know, there in person to do the thing, and we'll have an so it'll be crazy because next week is not Comic-Con, but the following week is. So we will have an episode going up, not the next episode, but the next episode will be our the morning of preview night. We will have a new episode going up. So it'll be kind of interesting how we'll have that and people will have an episode to watch, and then hours later there will be reveals. So that'll be kind of cool to see.
SPEAKER_00Yeah, for sure. Yeah, super excited. Hopefully, we get you know some of these, and yeah, just hoping for overall great reveals, much better than you know, WWE World. I think they've got a lot up their sleeve that they didn't show us.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, and I think people I'm not I think me and you were both pretty kind of disappointed with the uh with the with the reveal at WWE World. Not necessarily in the booth necessarily. We just expected to see renders, and it seemed like there was a lot of repaints or or reshuffles instead of absolute brand new things. And there were some exciting things, of course, but I think the lack of renders really just set us back a little bit. So I'm hoping you know they are gonna have a panel, so there should be renders and prototypes and all kinds of new stuff. So that should be awesome. But obviously, Dan Housen's on the list. We're gonna see Matt Cardona, we're gonna see these figures. We just didn't add them up. We added some stuff that we may not see or that you know that we hope to see necessarily. Of course, Dan Housen's gonna be there's gonna be 30 Dan Housens probably revealed at Comic-Con.
SPEAKER_00Yeah, there's it's kind of been like a drought, a little bit of like excitement in terms of like upcoming releases because we didn't get those renders, so we don't really know what's coming. So it's gonna be it's gonna be really cool to like have things to look forward to and see what's coming in in the Mattel line.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, no doubt, man. No doubt. But yeah, I think that's pretty much going to wrap up My Damn Creators episode number 14, man. I had a blessed time as always with my boy Nate here, and we look forward to seeing you guys next week for My Damn Creators episode number 15, man. But I hope you guys have a blessed day. We appreciate you. Thank you, and we'll see you guys next time.
