What is good, everybody? Welcome into My Damn Creators The Return. Because we missed last week, but it is uh, you know, it's a busy time. It's a busy time of life. We're gonna get into that, of course. But today we are breaking down some of the good, the bad, the ugly, the greatness that was San Diego Comic Con. And we're gonna break down all of the not all the figure reveals, but we're gonna talk. It's kind of the highlight show. We're gonna talk about it a little bit, what we liked, what we disliked. How we feeling, Nate, my host, my co-host as always, WSC. How are we feeling, brother?

Feeling great. Uh think we had a great San Diego Comic-Con. And you were there in person too. So can't wait to get into all these reveals and talk about the things that we liked, things that we didn't like, which is very little, if that, you know. But tell us a little bit about, you know, your experience there being in attendance for Comic-Con.

Yeah, man, it was obviously a lot of fun. There's a lot of, I I kind of I don't know, the the best way to describe it is it's like jingling keys everywhere. It's very overstimulating. There is a trillion things per square inch to look at. There's people in these crazy costumes, there's a ton of new action figures and collectibles. There's flashing lights and sounds and these epic reveals of all sorts. And, you know, the, I mean, you're looking at, you know, these movies like Avengers Doomsday, and you got these different things happening all the time, every square inch of this place. I think the total square footage of just the exhibit hall where all of the figures are and all the displays are is like 400 something thousand square feet. So it's this giant airplane hanger of epicness, and uh you're on your feet the whole time, you know, you're getting 20, 30,000 steps a day walking around the city. It's just it's a lot. It's a whole lot. And you know, you're you know, while I'm there to enjoy everything, but at the same time, you know, you're trying to take everything in, you're trying to, you know, show everybody the reveals and stuff. So, you know, it's a lot of work, but it is it's also a lot of fun. But it is very, I think it would be, you know, fun for fans to go. Like obviously, there's just so much to do and look at, but it can definitely be tiring. I think it wears on you as the weekend goes on.

Yeah, I've seen you like at WWE World, like you're in the booth, you're constantly just filming stuff or talking to people and things. So I could understand the grind there at Comic Con, just getting content and hanging out with people there. So it seems like a lot of fun. And we got a lot of great reveals. Do you want to get into you know some of our highlights of that uh that showing?

Yeah, for sure, man. Before we do that, you know, let's talk, uh, let's let's just, I guess, apologize, I guess, for the missed last week. I do want to apologize for that. It's really, you know, between you know the Comic-Con trip and my wife's birthday and my my kids, their sports leagues are starting, and also, you know, I also coach football. So you have you know fall camp starting up, and it was all at once. And so there really was no other time to really get a podcast in, which was really unfortunate. But we also kind of needed time to prep for this episode because it'll probably be a little bit longer just because there's a lot to talk about and you know, everything like that. So I do apologize for that, but I think you know, Nate, you were a little busy as well, you think?

Yeah, I've been, you know, flat out, you know, this next match on WrestleMania. I'm basically halfway through on the fourth match of WrestleMania. We got AJ Styles and Will Ospreay on the way, and I'm really excited about the match high stakes, AJ Styles' career on the line in this match, no disqualification. It's gonna be a good one coming out this week. I just pretty much wrapped up filming, so that's coming out soon. But yeah, it's taking me a lot longer, and you know, the days they go by quick, and you know, just working hard trying to you know get this thing done. So yeah, I've been very busy too. So yeah, we're finally here. We're back again this week for my damn creators, and we're gonna get into all the reveals. And we actually had that giveaway, that bingo card giveaway, and it seems you know we kind of missed the boat on that and we didn't get a bingo.

Yeah, man. I wanted to talk about that a little bit. So if you've been keeping track on the bingo card, and uh to go back to your point though, you know, our schedules I again it goes kind of back to episode one and you know, the things that we talk about with just making figure content in general, but everything, like I we always say, it's just so tedious. And so because it's so tedious, the hours just unravel. It's it's kind of ridiculous how you know fast time flies when you're you know, every day you're working on this this craft or you're doing these different things, and how the days just kind of fly by. But just to you know, give everybody an update on why maybe you know we missed last week. We did our best, but uh unfortunately it didn't work out. But we're back, uh we're back now, like like we discussed. But yeah, the bingo card, man. We were so close. We were so close, and I think we were just a couple here and there away from uh from hitting this. I mean, if we had put it in a different order, we probably we would have probably gotten I think we would have gotten it because we did get a lot of of this stuff, but like you said, we we did not quite hit it. Let's just I guess run down this uh this thing here. So Danhausen Elite got it. Demon Finn Ultimate Render did not get it. El Grande Americano Elite update, got it. Last Legend Elite, got it. Royce Keys Elite did not get it.

Yeah, no Royce Keys, which is kind of a dog. Kit Wilson Elite got it. Matt Cardona Elite, I think you have to count the the Zach Ryder Elite counts. I think I think that's that's fine. Um no render on that either. I would have thought we would have gotten a render of a Matt Cardona or something like that. But we got the basic and we got the defining moments, which is still cool. Pinta white attire elite. We didn't get any pinta figures besides the ultimate shown, which I thought was awesome. Yeah, um, John Cena, WrestleMania Ultimate, got that. Rusev Elite did not get it. We did get a basic, though.

J Uso Elite SummerSlam. We got a J Uso basic. Yeah, basic SummerSlam. We got Austin Theory Vision look. We got a basic instead of an elite. We did. Free spot, that's a check. AJ Lee Elite new got that. Mr. Iguana Elite didn't get. We did get an ultimate.

Oh, wait, you're right. We got the render. We got the render. You're right. Correct. That is that is a good correction. Roman Reigns WrestleMania 42 Ultimate did not see a WrestleMania 42 Roman Reigns, which was kind of crazy. WCW Booker T Ultimate nailed it. Like perfect to a team nailed that. Oba Femi updated Elite, nailed it. No Soul Ruka Elite is kind of insane, man. No Soul Elite.

No render, man. That that kind of bummed. Now I didn't even think about that till just now. I think that kind of bums me out. Um Trick Williams Elite from the Vault, but you know, you got the ultimate moments. Um you got Javon Evans, no Javon Evans, no Javon Evans, Blake Monroe, no Blake Monroe. Page rendered, no page render. No, uh yeah, I didn't even realize that. No page. Iliad Dragonoff Elite, got it. And then Tama Tonga Elite, nothing. So legitimately so close. If Elia Dragonoff was one square to the right and Oba Femi was one square to the right, we would have had a we would have had a bingo. So we were very, very close. Um, I think we should probably still give away one just for shishes and gigs. So I think, you know, while we may not give away two or three like we had hoped, I still think we're gonna give away one. So we can do that for sure. But uh I think we we we did nail some stuff, but unfortunately, I think it's just you know, it kind of goes back to there being so many damn characters that they have to balance that it's tough. And you know, I don't know if you watched my QA or my interview with Steve, he did say that they cut a lot, you know, they they didn't put everything out that they could. So, you know, hopefully uh Ringside Fest here in what is it, two and a half months, we'll see something cool.

Yeah, I could imagine they cut a lot of like the current talent from the reveals and stuff, like a lot of that stuff that we predicted, they're probably working on it, but they just didn't show it here. But yeah, we did get a ton of reveals too, like way too many to like even discuss all of them, but a lot of good stuff.

100%, man. There yeah, I I say it, you know, if we went through every individual reveal and we got all of our thoughts out on all of it, it would we'd be here for five hours, probably. Like if we genuinely sat here and it'd be great conversation, but I don't know if everybody wants to sit here and and listen to everything on. But we will get into the highlights, of course. So, you know, uh the first thing we want to talk about here is we're gonna give our favorite reveal, you know, our favorite thing that we saw or something that really stood out to us, and we'll go back and forth. You can give me yours, I'll respond to it, and then we can do the vice versa.

So there was a great amount of like really like really good stuff that got me excited. Like I said, coming into this, like I can't remember any like reveals that got me like super excited, but this this San Diego Comic-Con really did it for me. Like, my number one favorite figure that was revealed is gonna be that new fiend. And I actually predicted that. I don't know if it was on the bingo card, but I actually predicted that we would get the fiend look of what he was going to wear before he passed away. And I love the fact that we got that in figure form, it looks fantastic, and not only just that figure, but we got a whole set, a three-pack with the muscle man, which is really cool, and you know, a re-release saw a repaint of that was the Elite 85 Bray Wyatt, and we got the the fun house background, which I love. That is fantastic. So that is my favorite reveal. I'm a huge Bray Wyatt fan. He was a big part of WSC back in the day, and yeah, it's got me really hyped, and I really want to add that to the collection.

Yeah, man. That was uh that that one popped me hard. I think that was on your your wish list, your wish list. You put that thing concept, and you were like, you know, this would be insane if they would reveal this. I would be really hyped. But I think they like took that and they turned it up to 10 because you got the diorama, you have muscle man bray, you have a redo of the Elite 85, which makes it, I think, your definitive Firefly Funhouse Bray, because you remember the ringside exclusive was total cheeks, it was so bad. And this one is just such an upgrade, it's so much better. That three pack genuinely, I think two is one of my favorite reveals as well. I didn't put it as my favorite reveal, but it is definitely up there. It's it's one of the you know how you get those rare moments where they reveal something and it like genuinely excites you. That was a genuinely exciting pack, I think. That Wyatt fans are gonna be excited. Just I don't know, there's just so much to love about it. You're getting, you know, and they they put a lot of newness in there. You know, you usually you get a three-pack and it's like a repaint, another repaint, another repaint. You get one repaint, which is an epic one. It's one that corrects the past, it throws in a diorama piece that people have wanted for a long time and an upgrade of that cardboard set. It looks great, men on card. You get the muscle man version of Bray, which we've never seen. You get the fiend concept with all this newly sculpted detail, insane fiend lamp. It was definitely a winner. Like it was it was it's a one of the coolest things that they showed off. I thought it was uh excellent pick. So that's a that's a very good favorite pick, I think, for you.

Yeah, one nitpick, like nobody's gonna care about this other than me, but he's like the muscle man has the hand tattoo, which was never included on a Bray Wyatt figure because he like had that new hand tattoo. But none of the other figures, not the fiend figure, not the the funhouse figure, has that tattoo. So I wish they included that, but fantastic set, otherwise, like really excited. And it's I think it's like a Walmart exclusive or something. So it's gonna be hard for me in Australia to get my hands on that, but somehow, some way I hope to to get that in hand one day.

Yeah, you're definitely you're gonna definitely have to get that one. It also is gonna be Target exclusive. So, you know, I apparently Target likes the diorama thing. That's like something they really enjoy. So I guess anything that we you know, remember we had the raw in, you know, that raw anniversary set, then you had the Piper's Pit, and now you're getting this Firefly Funhouse. So, you know, I think anything like that related will probably end up coming through Target down the line.

But well, before you before we move on, recently in Australia, we've actually been getting those three packs in stores. We got the Bash of the Beach and we got the the Piper's Pit as well, and there was like the champions pack as well, too. So hopefully that one comes through here. But you know, it's great that Australia is getting those kind of packs.

Yeah, well, hopefully this one will you know fall in line and you'll be able to get it, and it'll be easy. So hopefully that'll take place. But I think overall for me, it was very tough to choose. There's so many great things that they showed, but for me, I did go with the Psycho Clown Ultimate Edition. I thought that it's just such a really cool figure. It it popped me. I think that it just the I put triple A line and then I put Psycho Clown like in parentheses because I think that just uh these I think these figures are gonna be a big hit, and like every single character they make is gonna be Toyetic. I don't think you're gonna see one figure out of this line where you're like, oh it's just like a whatever. Every single figure is Toyetic, all of them look like they're gonna feel good in hand, all of them, you know, they they just have a lot about them that stands out. So I put the triple A line or the psycho clown. I'm I'm hype for all of it, but yeah, that that triple A line announcement seemed to be pretty hype. It seemed like everybody was really excited.

Yeah, I think that psycho clown looks insane. You know, it depends, you know, some of these things of like what's my favorite is more about like me personally and the characters I like and things like that. So I'm not like a huge triple A guy who like watches it like all the time or anything, so that wouldn't be like up on the top of my list. But as a figure, that looks insane, it looks incredible. And those triple A figures look awesome too, the ultimates as well. I'm really in love with those. The Mr. Iguana, insane. We'll get into that a little bit more later on. But yeah, really cool that we're getting a bunch of those triple A characters.

Yeah, 100%. And I I agree with you too. I'm no, you know, I'm not gonna sit here and act like I plant a flag in triple A, and that's like my favorite thing ever. But I think it's more about the action figure, right? You know, I think that, you know, while WrestleMania 41 Cena personally was one that I really wanted, and they we finally got that and all those things. I just think that it's just such a cool thing that Mattel's trying and everything, and how toyetic that figure is that I'm really excited about it. But let's uh I guess let's move on next to the surprise reveal, or maybe a reveal you didn't expect, maybe a reveal that kind of shocked you, or you think that you know just totally took you by surprise. Obviously, the white three-pack did, but is there another one similar to that fashion that you could put here?

I mean, there's a couple really, really good surprises. One I'll start off with, which you got to see up close and personal, is that water touch technology on the Seamus with the bruising on the chest and the live Morgan with the the blood from her stomach? So that is a really cool surprise. And I I don't know what they're gonna do more with it in the future, but just the fact that we can do that and the shamus figure, that's that's gonna be the greatest shamus figure ever. I mean, how do you even top that, right?

Yeah, I agree. I uh I was talking with Sam Roberts in the booth and I was telling him that same thing. I'm like, I mean, what is even next? You know, I feel like every year we think, I mean, what could they possibly do? Or what could what's the next step? But like, can you imagine? Like, are they gonna put that on a lot of figures moving forward? Is that gonna be something that we see implemented where you know you're beating up your figures and you can make the photography more realistic because you can make it look like that? Like, imagine you're feding, and I don't know if it would last because like when you touch it and stuff, the warm touch is gonna kind of go away. But if you maybe have like a spray bottle or something of cold water where you can spray it and it's like, you know, as a match unfolds, you're spraying the figure and it makes it look like he's getting beat up as the match goes on. I don't know. That's some of the things that I was thinking about. Like, how epic is some of this stuff gonna be able to make the match? And you could probably do it with like, you know, marker or paint or you know, after effects or whatever. You could probably do it if you really tried already, but I don't know, that's kind of where my brain went initially.

Yeah, I'm just wondering, like, I bet they're excited about that technology. So I'm like wondering what are the possibilities, what are they gonna do? Like, could they make like a two-in-one, like a bruised curdy chest or something? Like, maybe they redo that figure one day and like you put ice on it and the bruise comes out. Like, I don't know what what they could do because I don't see them doing blood in the main lines or anything. It's probably gonna be like exclusive or something. So I wonder if they'll even like explore, you know, those maximum sweat, like sweating figures. I wonder if they'll go into those kind of gimmicky territories after seeing like how much buzz this like uh brought up. But I'll throw it back to you. What do you think was one of your your biggest surprises from San Diego Comic-Con?

I just to add to your point, real quick, before I give you my surprise pick, I think that I think you may be on to something. Like they could do there's so many, I mean, like, you know, that Sheamus is in the main ultimate line. Like, that's gonna be on shelves. I know it's not blood, but I mean, the the Liv Morgan thing is crazy. Like, you're literally putting stab wounds on a figure and it's a woman, and you know what I mean? Like, I don't know. There, you know how Mattel likes to keep their nose clean and they don't like to get close to the edge and stuff. So I don't know what kind of possibilities this could open up because you do battle damage figures like you talked about. Like maybe you do a fin demon, and then you know, if you get him ice cold, it like wipes the paint off, like he's in a mat or something. Like, there's just these cool things that you could really explore, and I think you're totally hitting the nail on the head. I think they could get into those gimmicky style things, man. Maybe we can finally get our damn bash at the beach ring or something.

But uh my surprise reveal, I I think it goes back to what you were talking about. I put the Chucky slash horror stuff. I just think that was just completely out of left field. Like nobody saw that coming. That Michael Myers Kane figure is the most absurd, crazy thing that I think I've ever seen. And it's kind of crazy because you know, we've done horror content with our WWE figures over the years, and now it's almost like they were like, I don't know, I don't know if they saw those videos. I don't know if you know they know that there's cool crossover, but they made it happen and we're finally getting those figures. Like, that's just so cool.

Yeah, it's like literally made for us. Like that's perfect. It's crazy, yeah.

Like, absolutely crazy. All these years of doing these dumb setups, and I mean, I say dumb, you know what I mean? They these crazy, we're having these matches and these setups, and you know, and they're like, what if we just put them together? I don't know. Maybe maybe we were part of a board meeting. I don't know.

Uh that'd be cool, but yeah, there's so much like we could do creatively with that, and we could have so much fun with it. So I'm really glad they're going down that creative route and doing things like that because I mean, I think those like me doing like the multiverse stuff and getting to utilize all those old figures, like the zombies and the the mutants and stuff, like I don't know that they got appreciated as much back when they first came out. So I think it opens up the door to do even more of that cool stuff, like in the future. So I'd love to see the line continue and expand. And I think it's really cool. The werewolf, Jacob Fartou's fantastic zombie Kevin Owens. Oh man, there's just there's so much to love about you know that line.

Yeah, and I think that out of you know, they've done really cool crossovers in the past, right? Like we've seen these crossover lines, like they did the Ghostbusters one, they did the TMNT, and both of those lines were really sick. Like, I and I'm not even a huge Ghostbuster, I'm not a big Ghostbusters guy. I really don't care about Ghostbusters at all. But TMNT, a little warmer, a little more my style. You know, I'm still not a huge TMNT guy, but then the horror stuff is like, oh my god, that's insane. Like, I can't really think of a I'm trying to think of like different cross. Like, if they did some some, you know, some sort of Marvel or DC crossover. Yeah, if they did like Dragon Ball Z, I would it'd be insane. But in terms of, you know, like different crossovers, I just think that's such a cool thing, like you mentioned too. And I definitely did not appreciate the mutant stuff and the zombie stuff when it was taking place. I've even called myself out on my channel before where I'm like, dude, I just didn't appreciate these at the time. I was just like, uh I'm like, why can't we get double jointed arms? That's what I used to say when they revealed those. I'm like, we can get this, but we can't get double jointed arms and this and that. So I guess we got the butt best of both worlds now.

Yeah, 100%. So yeah, I hope they go down, you know, that route and do more of that stuff. I'm excited for like building up a collection of those kind of figures. That'd be really cool. I think now that they got the the DC line, they could totally do a crossover there. You know, so many possibilities. I don't know if we want a fantasy book, like which characters would be who or whatever, but yeah, there's so many possibilities there of like variants of the wrestlers as a superhero. So yeah, really cool stuff there. That was definitely one of the biggest surprises.

Yeah, I agree with you, man. 100%. I think that was kind of I think that kind of shocked everyone, you know. Like the AAA thing was a shock, but it's like, yeah, you could kind of see the writing on the Wall, you know, there was that report leaked out that they can finally make triple A figures or AAA talent. But the the Michael Myers Kane, cocaine, as they say, was just completely just a complete like I hate that it was it was kind of like on the bottom shelf. So if you came into the booth, you kind of blink and you miss it. Obviously, we saw it online, but you know, I I don't know. It was just one of those standout figures. But the next thing we're going to talk about is an underrated reveal or a reveal that you think kind of, you know, maybe didn't get the the acknowledgement that it deserved, or one that you were really pumped about that maybe other people weren't really talking about.

I think I I don't know that it got as much love as it should, but I'm super excited about it. It's that Abyss Elite. And I've had like Abyss in WSC before I used one of the old TNA figures. And to get an official Abyss Elite with Janice with the weapon with the the nail bat thing two by four, like that is super exciting and it looks fantastic. So that is a really cool underrated figure, I believe.

Yeah, it it was so crazy. I think it's because there's so much, and like they have to show you so much during the panel that they have to like rapid fire. And like during the panel, you know, they'll reveal something and they'll get a small pop or a big pop or whatever. But you know, it's like here's Abyss, and everyone's like, Holy shit, it's Abyss, and they're like, But here's Victoria, and you're like, Oh shit, it's Victoria, and then they're like, But here's Dennis Robin, you're like, Oh shit, it's Dennis Robin. So, no, you know, it's like you had to kind of just move on to the next thing. And I felt like a lot of those figures, like we talked about the first time in the line figures, like you know, Abyss, and which is just mind-blowing. Like, we're getting abyss in the WWE McCarry line is just an absurd thing. But uh, you know, to add to that, like the Victoria and Jaclyn and you know, uh even Jordan Grace getting a fate, like all these different uh talents that had never had an elite, finally getting an elite and and getting first-time love that you know, just uh with everything else, it just kind of I don't know, kind of whooshed over everybody's heads because of how many there were. But yeah, the Abyss figure was absolutely crazy. I'm gonna go kind of crazy here. I'm gonna say the WrestleMania 41-3 pack. And the reason I'm saying this is because, you know, we're we had some hand-painted prototype heads in the booth, right? Like the Roman Reigns. I know you you had some choice words about the Roman Reigns. The CM Punk also was a bit weird. There were hand-painted prototypes there, and I think like the Seth Rollins in that pack just kind of it was in the back. You didn't get like great images of it, but dude, it's a really, really cool elite figure. You know, we got to see three elite Seth Rollins, and that one looks inset, like white gear. We've been begging for an updated gear or an updated formula white gear Seth Rollins. He comes with the jacket, really, really damn cool Seth Rollins figure.

Yeah, that pack looks fantastic, and we'll expand a little bit more on that. But yeah, the Rollins is definitely a standout there. Going to another underrated figure that sound called Steve Austin as the nerf with the bedpan. That popped me. That was awesome. And you call Steve Austin, Danhausen. Like, what? I didn't even know about you know that photo or whatever, but the fact that that's in the Monday Night Wars line, that's insane.

Yeah, like uh, I like that they're kind of like having fun with it, you know? It's not just another run-of-the-mill Austin. We're getting, you know, these kind of uh wacky, crazy moments that kind of made the Monday Night Wars what they were. You know, I do hate that, God, how sick would it be if they could do a build-of-figure vents in the Monday Night Wars line or something like that? I mean, like, I know it stinks, but could I wonder if they could get away with doing like DLC where with that Austin, maybe you don't get a full McMahon, but they put a little McMahon interchangeable head in there that's like, you know, it's you know, you don't have to really acknowledge it. Um, him coming back as the dead man, and it's it's a very good looking figure. I I hope that people uh don't sleep on that one. It's like a perfect, you know, ruthless aggression undertaker elite.

I know we've touched on, you know, some of the things, but uh what are some of these other like I for my great picks or my great things that I saw? I already had the Wyatt three-pack there that we've touched on already. You know, I had the Seamus Ultimate Edition on there as uh a part of that. What is something that you think of that we haven't talked about already, maybe that you thought was just really great or something that stood out to you?

Well, I mentioned it before, but the Mr. Iguana Ultimate is fantastic, it's like spot on, looks exactly like him. The fact that the Layesca, I think, yeah, Layeska, it has the Bendy Y, there's two options that's awesome. I think they completely nailed that. Now the price of it is very expensive, so I haven't ordered it just yet, but you know, I think I will at some point. But is it is it like a made-to-order figure?

What a great figure. I think that you know it really just nails the character. You get the two versions of Layeska, which is huge, like you said, you get the hand puppet version, then like a bendy wire version that you can pose in any way you want. You could have her, you know, get beat up or whatever. He comes with that jacket that kind of I don't know if you saw like some of these jackets have like like cuffs on the on the jackets, like the CM Punk Ultimate, the Cody Rhodes Ultimate, the Mr. Iguana Ultimate. All of them have like their wrist cuffs are like actually tight, like you would actually see. They're not kind of flailed out and stuff, which I thought was really cool. So I don't know, they just captured a lot of details on those figures, man. I think that you absolutely nailed it there. Another ultimate I want to give a nod to as well is one that we waited forever on, it seems, but we finally got to see what the Pinta ultimate was going to look like, and it just it just hit every damn branch as it fell out of a cool tree. I mean, my god, how sick is that figure?

I think that got like the most buzzed out of the the whole reveal like week. I think that did like the the most viewership on like my shorts of the reveals as well. Like people really love that figure, and it it looks insane. Like the head scans spot on, the attire's insane. It's got the cloth goods jacket, super exciting figure there. Like, man, that's there's very cool, and I'm so excited that we get more to get more Penters in the future. And and the fact that it comes with the Setomero hand is fantastic.

It absolutely is. I was shocked, but I guess again, because it's exclusive, it's not gonna be on Walmart and Target shelves. I think that's what helps it. It's fine, whatever. We ain't gotta really pay attention to this, you know. But which I think is kind of dumb anyway. Like it's dumb. I don't like nobody is even looking at that. Like, I feel like if it were that deep, they wouldn't do it anyway. You know, I feel like Pinta wouldn't ever do it on TV or John Cena would never do it. I don't know. I think they're they're overthinking that one.

And I think they did it pretty good here because in this Amazon Ultimate, you're gonna get the black and white packaging, which I think is sick as hell. It's it's gonna tie into the figure itself, it's gonna have the WrestleMania Vegas logo, it's gonna have these really cool things that you know specify the moment itself. I'm only hoping that uh the championship that it should that it was shown with was like the regular, you know, standard network WWE championship. I'm hoping that gets changed because that would I feel like that'd be like an all-time fumble if it's not fixed. But surely that surely the that'll be correct on the final figure.

Yeah. And I really like that head scan of like after he won the match. I think they nailed that look spot on. I think the the big torso that we've complained about, I think it'll look better with those like normal like head scans. Like the ones that came with the original, they were a bit narrow, so it threw everything off. I think like the I don't the the normal head scans are a bit wider, so like the proportions look a little bit better. So I think this one will look pretty good. We'll have to wait and see. It's got the new shirt material too. Like they did something different there with the shirts. What can you tell us about that?

Yeah, it's uh it's interesting. I didn't expect that whatsoever. I'm inter and I'm intrigued to see, you know, how it fits with the arms down and you know, everything like that. Because I think both shirts that we saw, the Defining Moments Elite Cena and the Boston Celtics gear, and then the the ultimate, they both were posed in a way where you couldn't kind of tell how it fits necessarily. And also, um I think that new I think the new Ultimate Cena, the Amazon one, the WrestleMania one, I think it also is gonna have the new torso articulation. So we may be looking at a torso altogether. It may be a whole brand new package, which also intrigues me. I'm excited to see, you know, how that poses, you know, in comparison to maybe what Goldberg had and everything. So I don't know. There's it it seems like the Mattel line is really taking a huge change, especially when you look at you know the first Ultimate Wave or you know some of these earlier elites compared to now. It's pretty crazy to see the kind of turnaround and the differences between the line and how it's progressed over time.

I want to say I had a conversation with Magic about it, but I don't think I I think he said that it's more premium quality, like the shirt just overall is a better material, it it looks better, it presents better. So um, I guess time will tell. You know, I didn't get to feel it in hand or see it, you know, up close and personal. But as far as you know, I did see it in person, I could, you know, get down at its level. It it does, I mean it does. It kind of reminds you of one of those like hot toy shirts where it's you know it's got the stitching really small in there, which like I think the stretchy shirts are really good, but you know, sometimes you may think that something's perfect until you see something new and then you feel that in hand. You're like, oh wow, this actually is better. So I don't know. I'm kind of worried about it, but uh hopefully it all works out. You know, it's kind of like the Ultimate Edition torso thing where you know you're kind of like, uh, is this gonna work? And then maybe hopefully it will end up panning out and and working.

Yeah, I think the material is like under bright lights, is a little shiny on the current ones. I think this, yeah, this new one looks like the material's a little bit better, but it does have more predominant stitching. But that's also like kind of how a shirt actually looks in real life. But talking about more gray figures, the CM Punk AJ Lee and Larry three-pack, that's a pretty awesome set right there.

Yeah, I thought that that was great as well. It took a year to get updated on the Liv Morgan and the CM Punk. If you guys remember, you know, well, I mean a year ago at Comic-Con, we got the grayed out render of Larry with the Ultimate Edition logo, and it was like this is coming out. It took a year to finally see what that was, and we still don't even have it in hand. So anything that we got that was in gray render this year, you can pretty much kind of suspect, okay, we're not gonna see this for a year. It's gonna be at least a year until we see this thing kind of fleshed out. So you're looking at you know, Trick Williams ultimate moments, you're looking at you know some of those triple A things. It's gonna take a while to to kind of get those things in hand or see final products of that, which kind of stinks, but you know, the they're gonna give us plenty of jingling keys along the way that you know you'll blink and it'll be time to see those things. So uh, but yeah, that pack is sick. I think that you know, CM Punk has a ton of ultimates now. The Larry is really cool. Now you have you know Pharaoh and Larry can go to war and uh another CM Punk ultimate, you know, in a really unique gear. Like CM Punk has so many god dang figures, man. He's gotten so many figures since returning, and all of them look really good.

I don't know about uh necessarily like the greatness. Uh, I think we've touched on kind of like the highlights in terms of great things, um, or things that I really was excited about. I'm gonna move into kind of the things that I I liked and were good, I think. So kind of stepping down a tier, still really, really awesome, just maybe not the peak stuff. But I want to talk about a little bit about the ultimate moments line kind of coming into fruition. You know, we've seen the defining moments. I've always kind of flirted with the idea of a from the vault ultimate line, and this is kind of like that. You know, you're getting a defining moments ultimate line, and I mean it looks like we're on par to kind of what they've done with the from the vault and defining moments lines, where they're not necessarily defining moments, they're kind of, you know, who can we shoehorn in here that's pretty popular to get them a figure out quickly? And you know, you're seeing the Dominic Mysterio, which looks fantastic, by the way. Very tall.

Like it really looks incredible. The SES Punk. I don't know if it was necessary, actually, but it still looks like a great figure. I think that you know the the figures in this line do look to be really, really good, even if you know, maybe they're not necessarily ultimate moments per se.

Yeah, I mean, that Dominic is incredible, like definitely the best Dominic so far. And that punk, it's interesting because the hype around that original STS punk is insane. Like I remember wanting that for the longest time than they did the re-release. But I I think obviously that Elite attire is better than that ultimate attire that they showed. I think it's a little plain to get like excited about, but the head scans are fantastic. So I because I don't know if you would want the camo in Ultimate, you probably would, but maybe you want to wait a little bit. But yeah, it is a little bit of a plain attire for an ultimate, but the head scans are incredible as well. They're much better than the elite that we've gotten so far. So yeah, I think that's an awesome line.

Yeah, uh can you speak to the Dan? I know the Danhausen was obviously a very early prototype. It's not really fair to judge it yet. I mean, it's very, very early. Again, you're looking at a year away until you really see what that's gonna look like. I'm interested to see how much it changes. But also the Trick Williams. I know that you really wanted an ultimate trick.

Yeah, I think the Trick Williams looks awesome. I think the Danhausen looks awesome too. Both characters I I really like and would use, you know, filming wise. So I'm very excited. I got my pre-orders in for those. And we got to wait like six months, like May next year, which is crazy. So, like, yeah, very excited for those. Those are definitely like high up on the list. They should be in the great tier, but yeah, talking about more good figures. I mean, we got like an Oberfemi Elite, we got Kit Wilson, we got uh LA Knight promo gear, which I've actually wanted for a long time. And that's really cool that we're getting that in elite form.

Yeah, that one kind of shocked me. I did not expect that. You know, that's something that we talk about for years. Like, if they're going to do, you know, repeat characters, give us give us something that we don't see all the time. You know, we got Cody Rhodes in a promo gear. We're getting I'm not saying it doesn't happen, right? We do get promo attires of characters, but certainly more of that would be appreciated. I think you could get away with, I don't even know how you'd pitch it, and it may not do that well. Like I know we saw the Kmart kind of t-shirt series, which was kind of cool, but I don't know if you could do like a promo line, but um, you know, the basics are kind of morphing into that. We're getting a lot of basics with you know promo style gears. But I I want them in elite form. I I want them to be able to move and you know have the presentation that a basic has or that uh that an elite has with the promo gears. So I I I did like that. I think they're on to something there. That was a good reveal as well. And uh another thing too is just uh another good tier or something I wrote down is just uh and we kind of touched on it already, but just all the first time in the line characters. There were so many that really, I don't know, like we didn't really expect, and they kind of dropped them on us. But you know, you you had Danhausen, you had Zach Ryder's first figure back, Dennis Rodman got a figure, Abyss got a figure, Victoria. We got you know the uh last legend finally getting a figure, Jordan Grace. There's just a lot they showed a lot of people, and I didn't even mention all of them, you know. They just really I don't know, I think they over-delivered. You're not even including all those triple A talent that are getting their first figure, so it's kind of mind-blowing how much they were able to pack in here.

Yeah, I'm really excited to see, you know, how because his ultimate edition is gonna be very compact, like it's it's a smaller character, but it's also gonna feature that new ultimate articulation. So I bet I'm hoping that that figure, that ultimate, is probably gonna feel very similar to like a Darby Allen AEW figure where it's just really compact and feels really nice in hand. So I'm excited to see, you know, how that comes to fruition with with Danhausen's figures, and I'm sure they're going to pump him out crazily. There's gonna be a lot of Danhausen figures. I mean, he got a basic elite and ultimate all revealed at Comic-Con.

I think they did a good job on that one.

You want to get into some of the things you noticed that you weren't a big fan of or things that kind of stood out to you that were like, yeah, I don't know about that one.

I think off the top of my head, I can't really think of much other than you know, one thing that I made like publicly, like this is a little odd looking, is like the Roman Reigns and the Sam Punk head scans in that three-pack of WrestleMania 41. It's a bit of like uh a swing at like trying to get some you know mid-match expressions. I've wanted that gritting teeth Roman Reigns expression on a figure for a long time. I just think it's slightly off in in some capacity. I think maybe the eyebrows or something like it's a little off. And I don't know that it's the paint or whatnot, but there's something a little off about it. But I am a fan of them, you know, trying, you know, those expressions to the punk as well. I like you know having an expression like that. I just think, you know, the you know, what do you call it? Like the resemblance like could be a little bit better on it. What do you think of that three-pack and those head scans?

I liked, I was more worried about the punk than the Roman. I really like the Roman. I've looked at photos of that match a lot because I I I was there for that match. I liked that match. I thought that, you know, it's it's actually one of my favorite matches, I think I've seen in person. So like I, you know, I go back and I investigate that. I've made customs of that Roman, and I it's probably my favorite Roman gear, possibly, that he's ever worn. So I've seen these exact expressions. So when I first saw it, I I kind of knew what it was going for. Um, and I liked it. I thought it was cool again, very, very early, kind of similar to I guess last year with the with the top picks elites. You know, they were kind of weren't they hand-painted, or at least I think CM Punk was. Um, and it's kind of a weird-looking expression for sure. Um, I I do like it, I think it's cool, but uh another part of that pack that I don't like is Roman Reigns is missing the Superman Punch logo again on his hand, which is kind of crazy that we missed it twice, but the basic has it. So I I I did mention it. I don't know if it's too late to get corrected, you know. I don't I don't know if if they'll fix it, but yeah, that that three pack, I I'm excited for that three-pack, and I think we're gonna I think it's just wait and see. I think we're gonna have to just wait and see what the final stuff looks like, but I can definitely see where people would be kind of worried about that, and you know, you we get these we get these expressions from Mattel sometimes, and sometimes they land, sometimes they don't. And I'm hoping that these ended, you know, they end up landing when when it's all said and done. But I am excited for that pack. It's kind of crazy how we got that hoodie leaked out there, and then it's of course we actually did get an elite of all of them. I didn't expect it to be a three-pack though.

That could have come out on its own, and maybe you could have included more with it, like the flamethrower and things like that. But like overall, that's a really, really cool pack. And somehow, someway I'm I'm gonna try and get my hands on it.

Um, because the I remember last year they showed off the WrestleMania 13 matchup with Stone Cold, Bret Hart, and Ken Shamrock, and it took pretty much a year until it hit Walmart shelves officially. So I'm guessing that'll probably happen with this pack too. It's probably gonna be a while until we see that, but I am looking forward to it when it finally happens. Again, that Rollins looks great. The Roman, I'm glad that we get the acknowledge me hand in that gear as well. So that'll be cool. One thing I wanted to discuss here as far as some things that I didn't like was the Joe Hendry. I felt like the Joe Hendry was kind of a miss. I I don't think that that that his light I feel like you know, we've gotten the ringside figures, and you know, they were pretty good for the most part, but a lot of people kind of felt like the likeness was kind of off. And then, you know, we're like, okay, well, Mattel's making one, so maybe this one will be the Joe Hendry figure. And then it kind of is the same deal where it's like, okay, from the neck down, it's it's very good. But then for the the face scan, it just doesn't, I just don't see Joe Hendry there.

But yeah, hopefully one day they you know make a better head scan there, but I can see them just you know re-releasing it all the time, reusing that head scan.

But another one that I also didn't like was the Kurt Angle from the Vengeance 3 pack. I didn't think that anything like Kurt Angle. I thought that one was kind of a miss. You know, uh, I mean, there's so much epic, you know, epicness revealed. There's so many great figures shown off, but I thought that the Kurt Angle and the Joe Hendry were were big misses in terms of of head sculpts.

Yeah, I saw a lot of people talking about the the Kurt Angle head sculpt as well. Yeah, it does look a lot a little off to me. The only reason I mentioned like the Roman one is because I'm more like invested in like the Roman Reigns figures than I am, you know, some flashback figures like the Kurt Angle. Like, I don't know if I'll ever get that figure, but yeah, I could see that that does look a little bit off there. Still no Kurt Angle boots for you. What are they doing?

I had it written down. I had it written down. I I talked about it in the I think we're gonna end up getting them. Like it's gotta be a thing now, surely. But uh yeah, no, no angle boots. There were, I mean, there were a few things that we kind of mentioned with our bingo card that we ended up not getting, which was kind of shocking. Kurt Angle Boots is certainly up there, but another one that's up there is no demon Finn Balor. The only Finn Balor we get is the Demonito, which is great. I'm glad we got Demonito. I think it's well deserved. It's gonna be the same Elite 107 Finn Balor on the same damn buck, which is very annoying to me. That's uh 20 sets that we waited on a Finn Balor Elite. I know we have the ultimate, which is great, but man, I'm ready for a new Trunks Finn Balor. I want an ultimate demon, and yeah, we just have to keep waiting on it. I it sucks too because you know, the last time we got a Trunks Finn Balor was Elite 98 Demon, and that's when they switched his legs from the standard legs to the Daniel Bryan legs that I did not like because now, like if you were going to do that, you should have started with that because now he's got like three or four different formulas, and it's just wacky to me. I don't like that. I'd like to see something kind of you know consistent all the way through. But what are you gonna do? I mean, at least we got Demon Ito. Uh, I think it's kind of clever that they repainted the demon tongue out head to to be Finn Balor like standard, which I think is kind of cool, even if it looks a bit wonky here and there. I still think that's fine. But man, no demon fin, no angle boots. And uh yeah, Roman missing the Superman punch. And then one little little nugget here is uh the Eddie Guerrero Royal Rumble Elite. It's just a repaint of the Elite 95, which I know they do repaints for elites in these builder figure waves, but another where it's just head scratching. Like, why why is his skin tone back to the other skin tone? Uh just some of these things just don't make sense to me.

Yeah, I mean that Finn Balor, like I don't know that I have any reason to get it. I mean, I'm not like like you where like he's one of your favorite wrestlers, so you'll have like the collection. So probably no no reason for me to get that figure, but yeah, I think it is pretty cool, and I like that they you know did the tongue out fin and just like repainted it. So yeah, I think that's pretty cool. One I bet you're very excited about that demonito.

Yeah, it it is definitely cool. That popped me. I was like, okay, yeah, this is at least they added something. I just uh I want an ultimate fin in trunks or I want a demon ultimate fin, and we still didn't get that. So that that was kind of annoying. But uh, in terms of everything else, I just thought that overall, I mean, uh I went back and forth on this, but I think it, you know, last year I thought maybe it was the best Comic Con ever. I think this was the best Comic-Con ever in terms of reveals. I just think that they really over-delivered. I think that they showed off so many cool things. I think that the future is bright, you know. I know we had that lull period where a lot of the quality was just super dog shish, you know, and we've we've obviously touched on that. And I don't I don't think it's like necessarily perfect, um, of course, and I but I think they have like made strides towards fixing it. I think that, you know, when you look at like some of those earlier waves with the first factory switch, it was very apparent that there were problems. And I know there's still obviously problems, but in terms of you know where we are in the Mattel line, I think that may have been the best Comic-Con in terms of reveals.

I kind of remember a time where I was like this excited and like really ramped up about like the reveals that we got, and we got so much stuff to talk about and get excited over. The TNA AJ is exciting. You can make like a TNA AJ fix-up or something, or you know, we're getting more last time is now John Cena's, which are just repaints, but like we're getting AJ Lee very soon, her first elite back that's like more modern. But here at the end, I wanted to do a Mount Rushmore where we pick four figures from all of the reveals, and like if you could only pick four releases out of this entire Comic-Con reveal to put in your own collection or to have personally, which four would you choose? Okay. My first one is going to be the Wyatt three-pack. I think that that's just such a we've touched on it already, but my God, what an incredible set. I think that they nailed it across a board. I like just such something that, you know, like I think a lot of collectors wanted, but I felt like, you know, it kind of, I guess it's because maybe of his passing that maybe, you know, Bray White figures kind of like skip the mind a little bit as much, you know, as they may have used to. But I'm so glad that they went back and did this. And I think it's one of the better reveals that we got the entire time. I I think that it it genuinely popped me. You get the diorama, some of the other things we said. It's just a really strong set. Like, I think they absolutely crushed that pack.

Yeah, for sure. I mean, we can go back and forth on this. So yeah, I'll I'll obviously that's that's my favorite reveal that they did. So that's definitely on the Mount Rushmore for me as well. It's like what's the best reveals, and then like what you what are you personally like the most excited about? And I was gonna have Mr. Iguana in the list, but because there's other characters that I'm more like into or like want to use, I'm gonna go with Danhausen for number two on my Mount Rushmore. I'm gonna go, I mean, you could say all of them, but I'll just go with the ultimate. Looks fantastic, new torso and everything tooled, multiple head scans, really pumped up for that Danhausen.

I think that, yeah, a lot of people picked the AEW one. A lot of people said that the AEW one's way better in the comments, which I again not really fair because that's a 3D printed statue, essentially, and it's hand painted and it's got you know hand applied decals. Like that figure I think was made that day, that morning of the panel. Like they made that very quickly. So uh, you know, it was very it was like not only is it a custom, it's a very rushed custom. So, you know, I don't think it's necessarily fair to compare one of one, but the AEW Jazzwares Danhausens were incredible. They're very, very strong. Like some of my favorite AEW figures ever. I think it uh won my uh AEW figure of the year for me uh when it released, like all of them. I think they were just so good, very uh Toyetic, very poseable, feel good in the hand, uh looks like the character. I mean, they absolutely nailed it. So, you know, I think it's gonna be still tough to beat those Jazzwares Danhausen figures, but I totally agree. The ultimate Dan Housen looks sick. I think all of the Danhousens look sick, and I can't wait for him. You know, it's weird because we've talked about this before, but you know, Danhausen, he's been around a long time, and you know, he used to be kind of one of these niche characters that uh, you know, uh had a lot of diehard fans, but now he has a ton of diehard fans because he's in the mainstream and he's uh out in the open and he's in WWE. So it's just really cool to kind of see him go from you know, uh like he used to upload like toy videos on YouTube, and now you know he's just this big superstar. So it's just really cool. But uh let's uh I guess my next pick for my uh Mount Rushmore is going to be another Ultimate, and I'm going for the Panta Ultimate Edition. I think that you know it's just uh a standout, it's a rock star. You know, we waited forever to see it. I think it lives up to the hype, and it does have that new torso articulation, you know, that they've implemented into the you know the ultimate line. So yeah, it just it looks fantastic. They have like the similar to the the to the Ray Phoenix defining moments, it's got this kind of metallic-y green sort of color to it, and it just looks absurd. It it's really, really strong. I think everybody's gonna love it. Yeah, that's that's actually third on my list too.

I think that horror crossover. I think that got everybody excited. I think it just looks so cool. Uh, and you get a cocaine figure too if you want to use it. It's like a two-in-one. It's it's like a I don't want to say necessarily an all-timer, but it's like kind of an all-timer insane pick. I mean, it's got to be one of the most insane they've ever done. But uh my next figure is gonna be the ultimate Cena from WrestleMania 41. Obviously, you know, I was there for this memorial, you know, this memorable championship win 17 time. It's one that we've talked about. It was missing and we had to wait forever on it. So I can finally add that to the collection that's not a basic or inaccurate or you know, these different things. So we know hopefully it's not inaccurate when it gets in hand, but really excited for that Cena. And then uh my fourth pick is the Psycho Clown. I did put the Psycho Clown Ultimate in there, but yeah, there was there was just so much, there were so many great figures. I think it was just an insane Comic-Con. I mean, just incredible, incre and there was so much that we really didn't even get to talk about here. But again, and we've we've only went an hour and two minutes, which I felt like I felt like we would be here for four hours, but we actually got through our whole episode here. I'm I'm trying to think. I mean, there was just we could we could, you know, and I guess we could ask people down below if they want to see like thoughts on certain figures or something like that. Maybe we can go back through, but I'm gonna have breakdowns of I've already broken down all the ultimate thoughts, and I'll I want to do an elite video, it's just that take dude that the elite video is stupid. It's gonna take, I mean, uh it usually takes me almost an hour, I think, to sit down and then you have to edit it. So it's it's a lot there, but I mean it just truly was an astonishing Comic-Con. They really crushed it.

I mean, this what they all all the stuff they revealed just really gave you a lot to talk about for a long time. I mean, there's so much, and you gotta think, like uh they're probably gonna have a new gallery going up. Uh you know, they put these galleries up every month, they're always on a random Friday every month. So uh leading up to Ringside Fest, we're gonna still get those galleries. So there's still more to come, more updates, more you know, things to see. And I don't know. And if you go to Comic Con, you quickly realize that Mattel and the WWE team, they reveal more than anybody by far. It's not even close. Like it's not even in the same stratosphere in terms of how many things they put out. I mean, you could even look at like Hasbro and Marvel, or you know, you want to talk about the G.I. Joe stuff or Transformer. Or I'm telling you, any line out there, there's nobody out there putting out the quality at the same end and the amount of quantity that Mattel is putting out. It's actually stupid to think about how much they're putting out in comparison. To other people. When people, you know, um, like even people that work in the industry that, you know, are a part of the Hasbro team or a part of these other teams, they're like, guys, I don't know how you're churning out this many figures. It's actually insane how much they do in comparison. Like, if you if we were to do this for Marvel, we could have ran through all the reveals in this same amount of time. So, like they reveal stuff and they have a panel, but it's nowhere near the amount of stuff, which is just crazy. It's kind of cool how I don't know, wrestling figure collectors and stuff have this really deep passion that like you know creates this thing that we love. It's I don't know, it's very interesting. Yeah, I mean, it's an ongoing show as well.

So there's so much to draw from, like so many different looks of characters that people love that they can draw from. And yeah, I mean, it's one of the most popular action figure lines like in the world. I think like I don't know if it still is, but I remember the elite line was like the top-selling like action figure line in America.

Yeah, it's like that. I think it's like five or six years in a row. Wow, that's incredible. It really is like it's insane. It's insane, like real genuinely insane that you know, there's such a I don't know, there's just like a lot of hype around it. I think people really buy in, and you it happens again, like for other lines, it exists. Like, you know, there's there's fandoms and there's niche pockets that really care about this stuff. But in terms of wrestling, it's it's way bigger in the wrestling space than it is in these other spaces. And they're they they just there's a lot to talk about, like just for instance, the Dragon Ball Z line that I collect, they revealed two figures, three figures, two figures, and one of them's a repaint, two new figures that are coming this year, and then one figure that has already been out, it's just slightly repainted. That's it, that's what you get for the whole Comic Con. And then what did what did Mattel give you? Over a hundred plus brand new things that we haven't seen, just insane.

No, um, I was trying to uh there wasn't really because I mean there's no AEW represent you know representative now, right? They they kind of you know let go of the the the team over there, but in terms of you know what I saw there, I thought that I thought that what they showed was pretty quality. The Athena looked really good. You know, we got to see the the Will Ospreay. I tried to you know get my hands on that, it was was unsuccessful for the first time. Uh damn. So yeah, I I really wanted one of those or or two of them really. I wanted one to stock and one to review, but unfortunately that couldn't take place. But everything looked really good. You know, I'm sad to to see them go because you know, you really I don't know, I think it kind of made it real where there's no panel, there's no new figures, there's no renders. So it's like, okay, this is legit. We're not getting any more. But I have heard some things in terms of you know who's gonna take over. I don't want to mention it just yet because I don't know if it's necessarily um, you know, supposed to be known just yet. But I guess if that if that ends up happening, then I'll talk about it, you know, and I'll be like, that's actually who I thought, but I don't know. I I really I don't know what the move is going forward for them, but I hope I hope we get AEW figures because you know I think that there's there's definitely a spot for them. I love collecting that line, and I'm sad to see that line go. There was a lot of damn good ones.
