Venus conjunct Jupiter on June 9 at 25° Cancer.

We go down the rabbit hole, jump with the Grimm brothers into a well, after Goldmarie.

The two benefics meet over our heads and the astro crowd calls it WONDERFUL. Really? We go past the sugar coating and examine luck: what it is, who gets it, and how Jupiter and Venus can trick us into believing in miracles. I'm not saying miracles don't happen. But luck has a type, and it already made up its mind about you. Goldmarie does the work because she means it, and the gold pours over her. Pechmarie fakes caring for the payout and gets a bucket of pitch. June 9 wants to know which sister you are.

It all happens in Cancer, too close to home to fake your answer. And it's a finale: Jupiter leaves for Leo by the end of June, taking Venus by the hand on his way out.

Check your cardinal placements around 25°. Cancer first, then Libra, Cap and Aries. Listen before the 9th, while you can still change your answer.

This is the Uranian rabbit hole, and I'm Barrett. I'm an astrologer, and what I actually do is hand people a flashlight and point it at themselves. This is a voice from the dark. Come on in. I'm figuring out where the light switch is myself. Hello at hole number nine. And this one, this week, takes us into a super magical transit, at least magical on paper. And that is, on June 9th, the two so-called benefic planets meet. Venus and Jupiter get together above our heads in the sky in the sign of sweet little cancer. And that promises you paradise. At least if you quickly read about it or check Instagram astrology for it. They will say that you just open your arms and the good stuff comes falling or raining from the sky. I don't know, like money and love and luck. It feels like instant magic that is coming down from the sky, and we so want it because it's so great. And I get it, and we can also explain it with astrology. Because when two planets that everybody has been told are good, benefics, meaning Jupiter and Venus, when they meet in the sky in the so-called conjunction, you don't need to be an astrologer to do the math. Good plus good equals fairy tale. So it's understandable. But since this is the uranian rabbit hole, and you signed up for it, hopefully, and I'm here to guide you a little bit deeper. I want to take you past this pop astrology sugar coating. And don't get me wrong, I'm not against sugar. And I'm not even saying everything in life has to be hard or hard-earned. Although I do believe in hard work. But I'm of the mind that luck still has to land on someone. Or let's say luck also wants to be attracted by you, kind of charmed in by you. And luck tends to pick the ones who were already doing the work when luck showed up. Like they prepared the landing slide for the good things to land. Here's my take on this whole world of the so-called benefics. Benefic meaning Venus and Jupiter, meaning planets that bring all the sugar, all the good things. Personally, I always find it easier to take things apart to better understand them. And also, you do want to learn a little bit astrology here. So let's dive into a little lesson about Venus and Jupiter and what they stand for. First apart, and then both of them together. Because they meet in the sky. Okay, ladies, first, Venus. Venus is easy to guess about love and pleasure. And she is the only planet, by the way, that is really assigned to that. To pleasure. Out of what? Out of nine planets. And that's kind of telling. Venus, the only one that makes us feel good. But she can do so much more tricks than just looking pretty or making us feel pretty. Venus is about value. Your Venus sign, actually worth checking, is about what you value. And what we value almost has like a moral flavor to it, I think. Question. What do you hold dear enough to give your heart to? Even when the heart might break. I mean, that is not nothing, right? That has some weight. The things we treasure when nobody's looking or filming or liking, that is our Venus. Also, how we spend our money and how we show our love. Also, and that's very important, I think, it is what you love apart from the damn Romeo and Julia story. It is not only romantic love, it is more universal than that. I mean you can assign your Venus to romantic love only if you want to, but that would limit her a little bit, I think. And then we have Jupiter, and Jupiter is the lucky one. Jupiter is about luck. And it's easy to picture this planet as the slot machine that always lands on the three cherries, or the three sevens, every time you pull the handle. What do you even call that in Las Vegas? Jackpot, probably, I don't know. I've only been once and I gamble on other things than money. But I know that those damn cherries famously do not line up just because you showed up with an open heart and good intentions, right? Luck like that is random. I mean, the question is, is luck random? And this is where it gets really interesting because the old astrologers gave Jupiter two jobs, actually three. Jupiter is the planet of luck and at the same time the planet of teachers, like these wise teachers who are supposed to know what things mean. His third job is also to make things bigger, expansion. So we have luck, wisdom, and more, all you know, put into the same planet. No wonder that you know Jupiter is so full of himself. He's a gas giant, a big fat planet, which also tells us something. In a way, luck sometimes feels as if just more is arriving. Luck equals more, right? The problem is that more of the wrong things overwhelm us or make us too saturated or make us too fat. So who or what decides whether all this more turns into fortune or into a mess? Maybe wisdom. And in theory, wisdom is also delivered in this Jupiter package. How convenient, right? But if we really think about it, it means that luck is not really random. Because the planet that hands you the more and the luck at the same time helps you to know what to do with it. A well-used Jupiter knows the difference between this more that is just more, and the more that makes things meaningful. Okay, back to planet Earth. It's easy to get lost in Jupitarian, in the Jupiterian sky. I want to ground you into this Jupiter-Venus theme by telling you a little fairy tale of the Grimm Brothers. That of Frau Holle. It's about a girl who drops her spindle down a well and jumps right after it to get it back and lands in a whole other world. It's Frau Holle's world. And the name of the girl is Goldmary, Goldmarie. And yes, gold eventually rains down on her, but there is a different moral behind it, because every Grimtail has a moral, like any mythology has morals. And this one connects to our Jupiter-Venus story. So the gold that Gold Marie got showered with only came after the work, after she used her Jupiter well. She earned every coin of it. She had to, I don't know, pull the bread out of the oven because otherwise it would burn. I think the bread even spoke to her. And then the apples on the tree said, you know, please shake the tree so we can fall down and get turned into apple juice. So she helped a lot before she was rewarded with quote-unquote luck. And Gold Marie's luck in this fairy tale was symbolized by the golds she had in her apron. She returned and her stepsister called Pech Marie, I don't even know how to translate it, Pech means bad fortune and also Marie. So Bad Fortune Marie loved the story of Gold Marie. And she went down the well expecting the same payout, the same thing to happen to her. But Pech Marie couldn't be bothered to lift a finger. And when the apples screamed at her, she did it, she also shook the tree, but she did it kind of half-heartedly. Same is true for the bread. And maybe I'm gonna maybe I am bending the tail a little bit. But the point is that Pechmarie wasn't so much into it. She only had her eye on the price, on the gold. But the help she put in, the love that she put in, was not real. And that was her problem. In the end, she got showered with pech. Pech is like a black, tarry thing that you cannot get off. It's pretty um cruel, like the grim fairy tales are, like mythology is, but it helps us to kind of get the point. Back to the gods, because this whole Goldmarie and Pechmarie tale is the Venus-Jupiter question we're asking. Goldmarie shows up, does the unglamorous work, and earns the gold. Pechmarie wants the gold without getting her hands dirty. So this conjunction is asking something deeper than what gift or gold or luck is on its way. It wants to know what you actually value enough to show up for and whether you can tell the real thing from the pretty story, the easy story you want to believe. Because Pech Marie didn't really fall for the gold, she fell for the story of easy gold, hopping down and coming back rich. And here's the Venus part of the whole thing. Gold Marie, if you think about her story, didn't help in order to receive gold slash luck. She helped because she actually cared. And when the apples called her, her heart answered and she did the work. She didn't have an idea that the reward, the gold, was coming in the end. And her value, her Venus, was real. Pech Marie on the other side, even though she did shake the trees, you know, hear the apples, but she didn't do it out of love, but she did it more or less out of greed. She wanted the result, and so she shook the tree. And you can feel the difference, right? Maybe the gold falls on those whose caring is true. And maybe this conjunction is about, I don't know, meeting your luck halfway, bringing Jupiter and Venus to the table. And now I want to go one step further and add a little interesting astrology detail. Jupiter is in the sign of Cancer, and so is Venus. But Jupiter has been in the sign of Cancer for a whole year. And Cancer is the most personal sign there is. Cancer is all about emotions, about home, family, people you care about, people where you would pick up the phone at 3 a.m. in the morning. And if we add this Cancerian vibe to our Venus-Jupiter conjunction in Cancer, we have, you know, even we even go one notch up in the emotional loadedness of this transit. Jupiter will leave the sign of Cancer by the end of June and jump into the next sign of Leo, and I will talk about it in the rabbit hole for sure. But this Venus-Jupiter conjunction, this rendezvous that we just talked about, almost feels like a saying goodbye from Jupiter in Cancer, moving on to the next sign. It's almost like the Grande Finale, where we can feel into everything that Jupiter in Cancer has been teaching you. So you might want to go into this most tender room of your chart, the Cancer room, into your heart, right? And ask these Venus, Jupiter, these gold Marie, Pechmarie questions of if and where you showed up with your Venus, your true Venus, your values, without expecting the gold to get showered down on you, without having your eye on the price, or where you might have fallen for the low road of Jupiter, Venus, promising you paradise, where you might have skipped your values just in order to get the quote unquote goal, the price, the luck, where you believed in a story that you probably deep down know is not true. Because if you go down that road and you fall for the picture that's not real, the person that's not real, and you kind of trade in your values and your wisdom, Venus and Jupiter, the outcome most likely won't make you happy. We can try, or I can try to kind of put it into real-life situations. For example, the relationship version, which we probably all can relate to. You know, imagine this guy you've been fancying or circling. Maybe you weren't quite sure about him from the beginning, but suddenly under this transit, he looks gorgeous. And a big glowing yes is showing up on his forehead and kind of lures you in, and that's the trap. And I say it with love because the guy didn't change. Maybe you did, maybe Venus melted you down, and Jupiter blew up this guy and made him larger than life. And now you're gazing at a guy that is almost like a how do you call it, like a phantom, like a projection, like an illusion of a man, the man of your dreams, but it's not the actual guy who's standing in front of you. The transit almost like softened your eyes a little bit. And the cure probably would be to, you know, check your heart, check your eyes, and make sure that you have your, I want to say your senses together, that you have your heart on board and not just want to get to the gold, to get to the I don't know, price number one, which you think this guy is, but not really for you, not really for your heart. Or maybe the money version, because Venus runs money too. This you know, high form of spending on something beautiful, Venus. Jupiter spending. It's shopping basically, and I'm guilty of it too. And under a Venus-Jupiter transit, the high that you get from shopping, from getting more of the beautiful thing, gets more tempting. We think that by just getting more of whatever you find beautiful, you will find happiness and love and you know fulfillment. But here too, the task is to catch yourself and ask what you're actually buying. And if what you're actually buying is aligning with your values, or do you just buy in order to feel even better? Venus to feel better, Jupiter more, buying to feel even better. And that's a tricky one because it's just hard to get these beautiful things out of your shopping cart. It's just hard. And then there's also the the creative version or the create the story about creativity and Venus Jupiter. It's you know a seemingly genius idea that you have in the morning, 2 a.m., and it feels so good and shiny and promises you fame. Again, love, success, and you wake up and you tell everyone, and you already, I don't know, bought the domain. But the thing is that just by buying the domain, you cannot skip the steps that are necessary to get the result that you promise yourself from that thing. In other words, the trap of these benefics, of these, you know, on in theory or on paper, great planets, Venus and Jupiter, is that they trick you into just seeing the result, just seeing the luck and the gold and trusting in that, and then thinking you don't have to show up for the actual work. You don't have to put the idea you had at 2 a.m. on paper, think about it, think about it again, refine it, etc. etc. That's like the long way. That's like the you know, the love you put in every day to then, as we said in the beginning, kind of prepare the landing slope for Jupiter and Venus for luck landing your way. So here's the secret, or at least my version of the secret that is tucked inside those two benefic planets, Venus and Jupiter, meeting in the sky in cancer. Venus is asking you what you truly value, value enough to give your whole heart to it authentically, not just for show. Authentically. Think of gold, Marie. She did shake the trees because she wanted to help, not because she thought I'm gonna get showered with gold. And Jupiter is asking you if you know or if you have the wisdom to know what is worth growing, and if you can be trusted with the bigger version, with this Jupiterian more, with luck, actually. And since it all plays out in cancer, you cannot fake your answer because it just is too close to home, to your heart. Cancer is so emotional. So when June 9th comes around, and all the two beneficts are charming and glowing and showing up for you, let it be generous, let it be lovely. But know that the magic ain't free. Know that the magic and the luck shows up for the ones who show up. Which is a little bit grim, I know, but I'm German. And this was my rabbit hole for today. And I want to thank you for being there and invite you to go back up with me into the light. So let's go back up into the light.
