So on June 13, Venus puts on her famous, beautiful red Leo dress and walks straight into the spotlight. A few days later, on June 17, she turns around only to find Pluto staring back at her from Aquarius.

This RABBIT HOLE is about the numbers you refresh. And about those little hearts and likes and the reply you sit and wait on to tell you you're here. Venus in Leo measures self worth in applause. Pluto in Aquarius, Lord of the underworld (and now in charge of the likes & hearts!), wants you naked and honest about exactly that.

This week I turned the flashlight also on myself, because I spent a night refreshing a screen waiting for a little number to move, asking the LEO question that's been sitting on my chest => Am I an artist? And do I need all of THEM to say yes before it counts?

We take apart the 5th house of your creation and the 11th house of everyone who receives it. Then we find the high road of Leo, where holding someone else's light up AKA cheerleading => turns out to be the thing that finally quiets the applause-begging.

Come down with me down the hole, then back up into the light.

This is the Uranian rabbit hole, and I'm Barrett. I'm an astrologer, and what I actually do is hand people a flashlight and point it at themselves. This is a voice from the dark. Come on in. I'm figuring out where the light switch is myself. Alright, hole number 10. Hello and welcome. And today we're going somewhere I didn't really want to go because it's a bit I don't know, it's a bit too Leo territory. And Leo is about the spotlight. But since this is rabbit hole material and I said that I'm gonna point the flashlight at you, I decided that I might just as well sometimes point it at myself. Because me and you, and you and me, we all mirror each other, right? We learn from and through each other. This is why we listen to podcasts and have conversations. We listen and learn. And this episode is for you if you ever waited on a number or a heart or a thumbs up to tell you you're worth something. Which is probably if we're real, all of us. Leo or not. But okay, Leo. We talk about Leo because Venus moved or moves, depending on how late it is when you listen to this, into the sign of Leo. Happens on June 13th. And then a couple of days later, on June 17th, she opposes Pluto, meaning she stands face to face with Pluto, which is not comfortable, not easy to say the least. And Pluto is in Aquarius right now. So Venus in Leo is our shining star, or let's say the star that supposedly loves to stand in the spotlight, right? In a tug of war with Pluto, the lord of the underworld, and the guy who is kind of in charge of our psyche, I want to say. And Pluto, that very god, is sitting in Aquarius, the sign that doesn't give a damn about your little ego, about you wanting to be in the spotlight. About Leo. So this is not the most cozy place to be in for Venus, and for all of us, that's for sure. But bear with me because I promise we will find some joy in this. So let's take it apart because I love taking things apart to understand them. Venus in Leo. Leo is the sign that wants to be seen, seen in capital letters. She wants to be adored, standing out in front of the room, lights on her, and all eyes on her. So in theory, hooray, right? Like a diva coming in. And Venus, the planet of love, walking into Leo, the sign of the diva of the spotlight, is like Venus walking into the room of fame. And I can imagine that feeling she has. It feels good to be in the spotlight. We all kind of want that, no? I do. Especially if I think about last night. I was sitting there and refreshing my damn screen, waiting for a little number to move, for a number to tell me that I'm here, that somebody somewhere noticed and read what I wrote and said something. Preferably something nice, like a heart. And I don't need to tell you which number or thing or newsletter or pitch it was that I was staring at. It also doesn't matter. Because I'm sure you have your own numbers, right? Your own numbers that you check or apps that you open for approval. Okay? And I think that is normal, and that is Venus. I mean it's also your Mars, but egal. We talk about Venus because Venus is how you and me want to be loved back. And also what makes you and me feel like we are worth something. It's the famous self-worth. And in Leo, with Venus in Leo, self-worth gets kind of put on a stage. A classic Venus in Leo is especially prone to measure her self-worth in applause. Or, you know, modern applause is maybe the likes and hearts and compliments or deals you get. Also money, by the way. And maybe you think, you know, you don't have a Venus in Leo, so this doesn't really apply to you. I want to give you a quote from Mark Jones, one of my favorite astrologers and teachers. He says, Astrology is an excuse to go deep. That's so cool. Astrology is an excuse to go deep. Meaning, even if a transit like this, like Venus moving into freaking Leo, doesn't touch you personally, we can still use it to go deeper into that theme. Because that is what astrology actually does. It shows us the patterns that live in all of us. And this Venus in Leo that wants to shine and create and be applauded for it, we all have that part in us, in one color or the other. Am I wrong? We all know this Venus in Leo feeling. And we also can find that part in our charts, in all the Leo placements, for sure, not only Venus, but also, for example, in the fifth house. The fifth house is what they call the natural home of Leo. So it kind of represents or aligns with Leo themes. The fifth house and Leo is about play and creativity and theater and drama and joy, joy of life. All the classic Leo stuff we know, and what the archetype is famous for resides and feels good and is connected to the fifth house. This fifth house is also about children and about the little kid in you that made the drawing or whatever creative thing it is that you make to make it and to show it to somebody, right? To your parents, to your teacher. So, yes, for applause. But also the place where you somehow somewhat got lost in the art that you made. Remember, as a kid, when you drew something, you just created it for the sake of creating, and you get lost, or you got lost, hopefully, you still get lost in this creative, joyful fifth house in your Leo placement of just creating out of the pure joy of creation from your heart. Leo rules the heart. So check your own fifth house, the planets that live in there, meaning that are in the fifth house, or the sign on the cusp. That tells you something about your creative approach. I have a loaded fifth house. My Mars is in there, my ego as well, right? So my creativity matters to me, to me on a personal level. And also check your chart, of course, for Leo placements or check your sun sign. Leo, meaning your star sign, your sun sign. Leo rules the sun. And your sun sign tells you something about the kind of shine of fame you want to have in this lifetime. Like I'm Capricorn, Sun. So I want mastery. I want mastery. I want to shine through integrity and mastery. Oh my god. But it's true. I do. But let's go back to Venus and Leo. So this freshly and nicely dressed Venus in Leo faces Pluto a couple of days later. And as we said, Pluto is an Aquarius. And the funny thing is that Leo and Aquarius are natural oppositions, not opponents, opposites. Always, not just now. We call it an axis in astrology. Leo and Aquarius are two sides of the same medal. And the medal is that of individual self-expression, Leo, and contribution to the group or to the human race, if you will. That's Aquarius. And if Leo belongs in the fifth house of your creation, Aquarius belongs to the opposite house, the 11th. And that is the house of the crowds, or call it the audience, or your you know, your peer groups, your Instagram followings. Everyone who receives the thing you made in the fifth belongs in the 11th. And then the 11ths applauds or not. So Leo is your personal creative light, right? It is you and you alone making your art. And Aquarius is everybody else, kind of a faceless crowd. Aquarius is humanity. Leo has a face, is vulnerable with that face and wants to be seen as one specific talent or face. And Aquarius is the crowd that you and me and Leo melt into as one face amongst many. And this Leo Aquarius axis highlights the whole theme of being the chosen one, the special one, against being only one light amongst millions. And both sides have a point, and the art is to find the damn balance of it. The balance between Leo and Aquarius, being the chosen one and adding your light to humanity. Sounds good on paper, right? Easier said than done. Because right now in the sky and in our world and in mine, it gets a bit heated because Pluto. Imagine Venus walking in with her new red sexy Leo dress, expressing herself with whatever creative art she does. And of course she wants to be a daughter. But the first thing she sees when she turns around is freaking Pluto staring back at her from cold Aquarius. Man. I mean, this opposition is always there, but now with Pluto, with the girl god of the underworld in her face, in Leo's face, it's almost like war. It's like you against the crowd. It's your worth, your art, the one thing you want them to love and to see. And then Pluto on the other side wants you to get real and honest. I love the word naked for Pluto. He wants to strip you down to the course about your art. And now this, you know, Pluto in Aquarius in this 11th house of groups is in charge of numbers and hearts and likes to show us his power. But it's not to destroy you, it's to get you naked and real and authentic. No Pluto, no Venus is about them. It's always about you and your relationship to yourself. It always makes you go closer to your center. Which is not easy. So I think that the problem, quote unquote, of an unaware Leo Venus or of any Leo placement really is that if they don't get approval from the crowd, they feel their art is worth shit. Like no applause, no me, and no self-worth. We always think of Leo as this radiant light, right? As this super diva coming into the room with flowing red hair. But actually, she's super insecure about that very light she's radiating and whether anyone sees it. She needs constant approval. And if we're talking Venus in Leo, even more, even more flying hearts, literally and emoji-wise. The Leo question, my personal Leo question that's been sitting with me or on my chest all week, or since a couple of weeks now, is kind of literal. I ask myself if I am an artist. And yes, check my Instagram. I even did a post about that exact question. Um I didn't get much applause, and that doesn't feel great to be honest. But underneath there's another question, and it goes like this. Do I need all of them, the crowd, the 11th house, Aquarius, my peers, you know, to say yes before it counts, before my self-worth has or has a proof and can actually take it in before I feel it and own it? It's like the fifth house little kids drawing is going all the way across the sky to ask the crowd in the 11th house for permission and for applause. It's asking the parents for applause. But is that what an artist does, Barrett? I will leave that question open. But the good news is that astrology helps, it always helps. And this Leo Aquarius theme gets also solved by Leo and Aquarius. Because Leo needs Aquarius and vice versa. But in this case, Aquarius can help our Leo Venus to grow up or you know to grow into um what do they say into the highest version, the most authentic version of herself.

Yes.

I want you to think about the sun for a second, because the sun rules Leo. And the sun in the sky doesn't ask the other planets to clap. Bravo, right? It just pours out light. And the whole system, the whole world gets to live because of it, because of the sun. A grown-up Venus in Leo to me is like that, like the sun. She shines her light so someone else, or actually the whole world, Aquarius, the collective, can stand in this warming light. And this is not being the Mardyr, you know, or giving without receiving. The sun gives light because she can, and because she has more than enough of it. And Leo can do that too, and you can do that too. And your fifth house can do it, and your Leo planets. It goes like this: you make your thing, your art, and you put it out, and by doing it, you might show one person that it's possible. And then whether the crowd claps applause is almost beside the point, right? And that is called role modeling. That is called being the sun, being the light source instead of just standing in the dark and asking to be lit or seen. Or I don't know, call it cheerleading, which is also, I think, the essence of Leo. It's this inner glow that you can turn outward. You still shine, you just turn it around and put the light on someone else. Like you make the person across from you feel, I don't know, like the most beautiful woman or man in the building. You cheerlead them, you light them up from the heart. I mean, that's the real Venus and Leo gift. That's the real Leo gift. And the wild part is that the second you start shining this light on somebody else, clapping for somebody else, the this freaking begging for applause in yourself stops because you're too busy warming the other person to keep checking if you are warm enough. And by doing, you heat up from the inside. So back to this question: Am I an artist? I don't know. Maybe that's a stupid question. I don't even want to ask if I'm allowed by the crowd to be one. The real question should actually be: can I inspire, like I just said, can I inspire others with my art? Right? And do I, by being me and doing what I do, ignite some fire in others? And is that something that also warms my very soul in the end? And then by that inner warms, I radiate outward. And is that worth more than regular applause and hearts and likes or whatever it was that I'm check that I was checking at night on my computer? So a question for you for this week. What are the numbers that you check? And be honest about that. And do you actually notice when you're wanting to be seen kind of sneakily turns into needing to check those hearts and numbers? Or a harder question. If the numbers and hearts and thumbs up never moved again on whatever platform you measure yourself, would the thing you make, your art, still be worth making? And then the real Leo test. Pick one person who could need a light up this week for real with no audience and make them the most seen person in the room. Try by giving them a compliment, but heartfelt to cheer them up and watch what it does to your own need to be seen and to your own heart. And you know, remember you are allowed the sun on your back. Leo is not wrong. Venus in Leo is not wrong to want the applause. Just notice the moment you stop shining and start counting who noticed the shine and who did not. I'm gonna try the same. And that's enough rabbit hole for today. I hope you found something down here worth keeping and some light to shine for yourself and others. Speaking of which, let's go back up into the light. So let's go back up into the light.
