Relative Chaos is five sisters — spanning mid-20s to almost 40, single to mom of three, from CEO to still figuring it out — having the conversations that usually stay in the group chat.
We talk about the stuff that matters and the stuff that absolutely does not — with the kind of honesty that only comes from people who've known you your entire life. Conversations about ambition, motherhood, relationships, the messy realities of adulting, what we're reading, what we're spiraling about, and the small unhinged moments that somehow turn into the best conversations.
Some of it will make you think. Most of it will make you laugh.
Everyone needs someone who will hype you up and keep you honest all in the same breath. That's what sisters are for. And if you don't have one, you can borrow ours.
For all the moments, to be discussed.

Cat, Clare, and Emma are in the group chat. This week, the sisters debate the modern rules of posting, influencer wedding culture, and whether we're all over-curating our lives online after a Thanksgiving conversation somehow turns into a millennial versus Gen Z showdown. Cat is then put to the test with a Gen Z slang quiz featuring words she'd rather never hear again. Plus, Zendaya's The Odyssey press tour, Matt Damon's unexpected glow-up, and why the internet should maybe calm down.
Hey y'all. Hey, hey. How are we doing?
SPEAKER_02Hey sisters. Great. Hey sisters.
SPEAKER_03How is everyone's day going? Great.
SPEAKER_02Just kidding. No, it's fine. Just counting down the days till I go on sabbatical.
SPEAKER_03How many days are we at again until you do that?
SPEAKER_02August the first week of August. So August 5th, I start. So the 31st or something is like my last day. That's so strong. And then I get a month off. So I cannot wait. That's crazy. I'm so jealous. How can you do that? If you're at the company for seven years, you get you've been there for seven years? My anniversary is on Thursday. That's crazy.
SPEAKER_03Yeah. Oh my god. That's a long time. Um, Emma, is there a community you would like to introduce us to behind you?
SPEAKER_01Oh, you mean like this is my my people back here?
SPEAKER_03Your people.
SPEAKER_01Um, my people. I'm missing a marshmallow. If you don't know jelly cats, for like the millennial people, they are like the Gen Z beanie babies. We have this one, this pig that was from camp. Um you bring one of them closer. Oh yeah. Which one?
SPEAKER_02The popcorn? The giraffe intrigues me. No, actually, I changed my mind. The the like pink dragon.
SPEAKER_01After I just dismantled my people, you're gonna ask.
SPEAKER_02I I'm sure you'll be able to do that.
SPEAKER_01I haven't come up with a name up with a name, but I'm thinking what's the name of the dragon from Shrek 2? That's she like donkey. I think her name is Dragon.
unknownOkay.
SPEAKER_03No, no, no.
SPEAKER_01No, that's the princess babe.
SPEAKER_03When Donkey hooks up with the dragon, yeah. I'm pretty sure I don't think they like hook can I do that children hook up? Like let's not get several children together. I don't know the yep, we don't have to say geographics, but that's not the geographic. Geographics.
SPEAKER_02So these are the Gen Z beanie baby.
SPEAKER_01Yes, they're a jelly cat. So a lot of people have them, and you're probably thinking, Oh, you're of a certain age. Are we still doing the stuffed animal thing? Yes.
SPEAKER_03I won't show what's on my bed, but uh I'm not judging.
SPEAKER_01I'm not judging, I'm just not like a stuffed animal person. No, you have like your one centimeter fabric baby blanket, baby blankets.
SPEAKER_02I mean while six that's sadly long gone.
SPEAKER_01No, really.
SPEAKER_03That's ooh, that's really upsetting.
SPEAKER_02I just like Zara.
SPEAKER_03I know I'm I have my squishmallows, which I'm partial to a squishmallow.
SPEAKER_01Can you tell everyone the name of your squishmallows?
SPEAKER_03So my so my squishmallows are I have a squishmallow and then a weighted stuffed animal from Target. It's actually it's from Amazon, but they sell them at Target. It's um an elephant, and its name is Dory. However, the root of the name is Dorian from one of my favorite books, thrown up.
SPEAKER_01I forgot about that.
SPEAKER_03And then one of the squishmallows is Maurice, but his nickname is obviously Reese. Duh.
SPEAKER_02Duh. So for those who don't know, what is that in reference to?
SPEAKER_03Reese is in reference to A Court Thorns and Roses book two, specifically. Mist and Fury. It's just like to this day the best book I've ever read. If you haven't read it, um You're Living Under a Rock.
SPEAKER_02Throne of Glass or A Court of Thorns and Roses series series.
SPEAKER_03This is this is really hard because A Court of Thorns and Roses will just always have a really special place in my heart. The way that book made me feel. Oh Emma stays strapped with her Coca-Cola. I saw you try to drink that off screen. On the body at all times. Anyway, as you were saying. Yeah, Emma's like, please. But they're just different books. A Court of Thrones and Roses is true romantic, more smuddy. I don't think there's there's one sex scene in Throne of Glass. It's it's really crazy. And that's why I couldn't get through it.
SPEAKER_01See, I always call it like a thorn of misty roses, like which is close. It sort of might as well be the same book.
SPEAKER_03I can't believe you haven't. Emma, Emma does not fuck with the fantasy worlds.
SPEAKER_01No, you know what I do. I've been trying to like dip my toe into it, but I just don't you you don't know me. You don't see me on a day-to-day basis. I just don't like the way that some of the book covers um are. Like sometimes I no, I just I know that's terrible in judging a book by its cover, but it's there's I don't I don't know how to describe it. It's like a weird thing aesthetically. No, I'll I'll definitely try it.
SPEAKER_03Um I mean, we're reading some pretty horrendous book books with really terrible book covers. I got seen less men on my on my bookshelf over here.
SPEAKER_01Yeah. No, I mean, and some of like the cartoon covers are great. I respect all the artists, but some of them I'm just like, oh some improvement.
SPEAKER_03Yeah, just a little that's fair to each their own, give it a shot. If you're I will, I will. Um I wish I could tap back into this part of myself that would read books the way I did during that phase of my life, but but that was verging on healthy, right?
SPEAKER_01Yeah.
SPEAKER_03Yeah. You don't have that dog in you anymore. I don't have that dog in me anymore to read like an eight book series in two months. That's just not really realistic.
SPEAKER_01I've been keeping up with your good reads.
SPEAKER_03I feel like you've been I haven't been keeping up with my good reads, but real like until a month ago, I posted one update. Yeah. I I posted some updates.
SPEAKER_02I finished my book that I was trying to finish uh over the weekend finally, and I started Dolly all the time. So we'll report back.
SPEAKER_03Yes, if we both finished that, it's good. I know. I didn't really, I really didn't read as much as I would have liked over this past week. I took the week off kind of hard. I know. I took the week off, spent some time with sweet Andrew, who also took the week off. So I just like sweet Andrew. I wasn't really prioritizing my reading list.
SPEAKER_02He this is Claire's new boyfriend who was introduced to the almost entire family this past weekend. No, we ticked every box. I know you met Emma, but like all at once. Oh, I think the remaining members of the family all at once came to our mom's 65th birthday, was put on the spot to make a speech by our dad. So just really throwing him into the fire.
SPEAKER_03And he did great. So for a wonderful job. For our family dynamic is, I mean, I'm a crier, and like we'll talk about things, but we're not really a sappy sit around the table and share our feelings kind of family. Would you like to do that?
SPEAKER_01I'm agree with like it depends on who you're talking about. I think some people you can do that with, but I don't think we're completely like we can't talk about certain things.
SPEAKER_03We're not like the we're not like yeah, no, definitely not. We're not toxic Irish Catholic in that way. But we just basically why I say it was an unusual occurrence because our dad gets up to make this speech toast for our mom, this birthday dinner. He starts really crying, and I have seen him cry maybe twice in my life, and it was just so emotional. And then he was like, Everyone make a speech, and everyone did, and it was just it was I was moved. Yeah, is it weird that I was like kind of nervous to speak in front of everyone?
SPEAKER_02No, I was nervous, high stakes, high stakes.
SPEAKER_03I was like, Whoa, I don't like being put on the spot like this. I don't like being put on the spot. I also kind of blacked out and the food started coming in while I was talking, so I was just like, and that's it, because I'm not gonna say the rest of what I wanted to say in front of strangers.
SPEAKER_02And I just was like emotional and couldn't get through what I was saying because I was like crying. So yeah, yeah, not I wouldn't say, yeah, I wouldn't classify our family as the quintessential Irish Catholic, doesn't talk about feelings because we definitely do, and I feel like we're very, for the most part, pretty forthcoming when talking about feelings, or if someone has a problem with someone. Um, but and also if you think about it, this is actually interesting to understand if like most families are like this, but we don't hang up the phone or leave each other or leave the house without saying, I love you. Like yeah, like millions of love yours. Claire could be going out the door to get something from the car, and or I could be leaving to get some those. It's more like if I'm leaving to get something from the car and Claire, I love you. You're like, I love you. I'm like, oh, I'm just going down the room. You're like, I'll literally be back in two seconds. So I feel like that's like a tick we all have, or something.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, I think for some people it's like a trauma response to you a little bit. There's some trauma response, like fear of you know, the last thing, God forbid.
SPEAKER_03I you know what it's more like catastrophic anxiety. This could be the last thing I'm saying to this person. So, like, gotta say love you.
SPEAKER_02Yeah, where the context does that come from? I don't even know.
SPEAKER_01Um it's like catastrophic intrusive thoughts, Winnain.
SPEAKER_03No, I know, but why do we all have I know it's so weird? I don't know. I'll never forget doing it one time. This was years ago now. I saw one of my high school guy friends on the street with his new girlfriend, and I was like, oh my god, it's like so nice to meet you. We were chatting, and then I was walking away kind of in a hurry, and I was like, all right, bye, I love you so much. And I was like, if I was a girlfriend, honestly, the second I said it, I was like, that was so annoying of me. If that was me and someone said that to my boyfriend in front of me, I just it would kind of be on site. What?
SPEAKER_02Oh, yeah, yeah. I just thought of a really scarring story. Oh my god, tell that directly relates to this instinctive tick that we all have to say, I love you to our family members, no matter where they're going. Um, which a lot of my friends know and still like to make fun of me to this day, but honestly, it's so good looking back in hindsight. I had a boyfriend in high school, young high school, who shall rename remain nameless. Rename. Runez May. Renezme, Anastasia Beverly Hills. Totally. Um, and I was at his house, whatever, didn't have my license yet, so my dad has to pick me up. And I dad texts me, he's like, I'm outside, and I'm on the phone. Okay, sorry. I can't talk about a conversation without being discussing a phone conversation without also. Why is my phone this?
SPEAKER_03Yeah, what is it? Why are you doing this? Why do I do this? What is that?
SPEAKER_02I don't know. I'm like, I don't do this, I do this.
SPEAKER_03That millennial, babe. Millennial mama.
SPEAKER_02Yeah, but I don't even think millennials do this. I think they do this.
SPEAKER_03They do this. I know this. What's your phone?
SPEAKER_01That's mine too.
SPEAKER_03Baby, that's my phone.
SPEAKER_01When people say hashtags, sometimes I'll I'll hit them with the pound sign.
SPEAKER_03I'm not not ever doing that. I'm just I just say when I was on the phone with someone. I don't find myself miming a phone call when I was on the phone.
SPEAKER_02Okay, anyway. So I'm on the phone with dad. And hey, I'm outside. I'm like, I'm like, okay, I'm coming, be there in two minutes. Love you, bye. I hang up with him. I turn to said boyfriend and give him a hug and a smooch. And because I was just talking to dad and I said that thing, I'm like, okay, love you, bye. And I turn around and leave, and I'm like, oh god, what did I just do? Like slow motion walking to the car. I was like, oh, and he said it back. Oh, ah, did you feel that way about him? He he giggled and was like, he was like, Oh, love you too. And I was oh fuck my life. Oh my god. So I walked to the car and I got in, and I just was slouching. I was like, Don't speak to me. I can't. And you know, when you wake up the next morning and you forgot about something, and then you remember the horribly embarrassing thing you did, and you're like, it just hits you like a bullet. So then I I had texted him that night immediately after I left. Once I was in the car with dad, I'm really sorry I didn't mean to say that because I was like, that's crazy. We haven't been dating that long.
SPEAKER_03How long had you been dating? It sounds like you were children.
SPEAKER_02We were children, and I don't recall, maybe two months or something. That's appropriate children time, I think. And he was like, No worries, I figured. And I was like, Okay, great, can we just forget about it? Do you think he meant it? No, I think he fully said it to me to make me feel better, which was very kind of him, I will say. He could have been nice, he could have been a dick and just been like, Okay, bye, and made me feel even worse. But he definitely said it to unless he loved me, which like totally plausible too. But like I'm sure he did. I think he I think he just tried to make me feel better, but that was a good time, anyways. Always come back to that embarrassing story.
SPEAKER_03Shout out to you. Speaking of embarrassing stories, this just reminded me of this. Never forget the time in Nantucket. It was me, Emma, our cousins, Charlotte, and Lila were all going to get ice cream, and I had been like kind of smooching this boy over the summer and had stolen a sweatshirt without his knowledge from his house because I was chilly. And which sue me, whatever. Chili, chili, cozy, cozy. Chili, chili, cozy, cozy. And I we're going to get ice cream. I happened to throw it on, and it's not just a generic sweatshirt, it's his college and like a lacrosse number, and his name is on it. And we get out of the car, and we're walking to get ice cream, and I just hear someone yell, nice sweatshirt, and I turn around, it's literally the guy I stole the sweatshirt from.
SPEAKER_01I would be crawling out of my skin.
SPEAKER_03So mortified, Charlotte was howling. She thought it was the funniest thing ever. What did you say?
SPEAKER_01I don't even remember. Actually, I think I do remember that.
SPEAKER_03I was just like, Sorry, I'll give it back. I never did, obviously. No, that's a rite of passage. Stealing sweatshirts and good clothes and everything wearing them. Mom and our parents are closing in on selling our childhood home. And mom texted Emma and I, and she was like, What do I do with all the sweatshirts? And it's obviously she could donate them, get rid of them, but it's just they're such a time capsule. It's kind of sad.
SPEAKER_02You gotta keep some. Are you a hoarder like Megan?
SPEAKER_03I'm not a hoarder, but it's just it's so fun to look at these sweatshirts and be like, oh my god. Emma's a horse. I know what's behind that camera screen. I know what's on the other side of that wall.
SPEAKER_01Hell no. I don't need some type A biatches being like, oh my god. Why is that there? Why is that there? You have too much.
SPEAKER_03I just want to Marie Kondo your ass, you know?
SPEAKER_01I you know what? I did that today at work downstairs because it looked like someone, the store got hit with a freight train. Yeah. So I reorganized for basically the whole day while I was listening to this podcast about a scam artist. Cause what like what else do you want to do?
SPEAKER_03What else do you do? Yep.
SPEAKER_01Um, so that was great. So I got kind of that out of my system. But I have this thing where it's I want to find cute vintage clothing for for Belle and Georgie, and obviously for it has to be, sorry, or for myself, for my daughters. Like, who doesn't want like a vintage archival wardrobe that's chic? But you don't need to buy it for a six-year-old right now. I'm no, not a six-year-old. I'm buying it for myself, but I have great finds, and I want them to enjoy that, you know, with the intention of hand-me-downs.
SPEAKER_03I see. Speaking of Emma's like archival fashion obsession, one thing I would like to address is the press tour that's been going on for the Odyssey. Obviously, Zendaya and and Hathaway, but specifically, specifically Matt Damon and how he's been looking.
SPEAKER_01It's not even about the outfits, it's just he aged, he has aged like fine mind. Also, he's always been fine. Yeah. He's not very problematic. Do you haven't seen Knock on Wedd? Do you haven't seen his family in the tabloids?
SPEAKER_02Yeah.
SPEAKER_01He has all daughters.
SPEAKER_02He's a Boston boy. He's a stand-up guy. Yes, Matt Davin looks fantastic. He's having major glow-up because he got in such sick shape. I feel like he's now has this whole aura about him. But I can't get over Zendea. Like she's remarkable. Is did you see the New York outfit?
SPEAKER_03Yeah. Okay. So with the wings? Wait, the one from today? Yes. Wait, stop. I'm looking it up right now.
SPEAKER_01The New York premiere. But I think it's so she um, I don't know if she's trying to model the outfit after the character she's playing, which is I'm blanking on the goddess that she is, but it also reminded me of that statue in the Louvre of the woman. It's like all white. Ooh, I think I know what you're talking about.
SPEAKER_03And like the rippling. I mean, this is crazy. She looks incredible.
SPEAKER_01She looks amazing. And the hair is so good.
SPEAKER_02So I love the hair. She purposely did like a paired makeup down, like naked look, which I liked because the dress and the hair are kind of speaking for themselves. But she's just she can't miss. I've never really seen her wear an outfit I didn't like.
SPEAKER_03The only miss I have ever seen from her was the most recent Spider-Man press thing she did. She was in this very Sherry Hill looking two-piece in Spider-Man colors. It was striped. It's like a rhinestone two-piece or sequel two-piece.
SPEAKER_01I think that's a 1990s archival pole or something.
SPEAKER_03Like a teenager in it in a very immature way.
SPEAKER_01Honestly, she could wear a paper, paper bag. She could do no wrong. And also her and law Roach. I just feel like the poles that they have and the pieces that they have are so good every single time. In Hathway 2 looks great.
SPEAKER_02Oh my god. Props to her. She's pregnant and she looks in she almost looks like better. Yeah. I'm like, what is it? She looks ethereal. Yeah. She needs to be studied. She looks the my I think my favorite. I mean, the look tonight is amazing, but the brown leather dress that she wore. Oh my god. She looks ridiculous.
SPEAKER_03She looks so good. Looks stunning. I'm really excited for the Dune Press tour. I think that's going to be bananas. We have so many good people on that tour. She's going to be on it. Timmy and Anya Taylor Joy is going to be on it. Obviously. Law used to dress her too, so I wonder if he's going to do both of them.
SPEAKER_01He used to dress Ariana Grande and then she switched. And now he's also dressing her. So I don't know. I think she's with a new stylist, but I could be. Yeah. And then also Robert Pattinson, but I feel like he just wears suits, but I still love him.
SPEAKER_03Oh my god. Side note, you know what video came up on my. I was looking through my saved TikToks the other day. And the video that Emma posted over Thanksgiving. Kat wasn't with us for Thanksgiving. She was with Callan's family, regretfully. Emma recorded, Emma's always recording, kind of in the background. She's sort of our secret camera woman. Emma recorded this video of Aaron and I having a discussion about Gen Zs and Millennials, which is honestly a good topic for us to get into. But it's Gen Zs and Millennials, Aaron. I forget what how it came up, but Aaron and I are essentially debating what is the difference between Gen Z's and millennials. And it was like an innocent conversation in my mind.
SPEAKER_02But it came up because of the the posting. I think it came up because you were talking about or reacting to my Instagram posts.
SPEAKER_03Oh, yeah. Right. You're right. Kat was at a football game, and when she goes to like a fun event, she loves to post a little recap, but it's not really a recap. Her stories, she posts so many stories that it like, you know, the little bar on the top. It we're we're getting to dot status. It's crazy. And so I was expressing this, and Aaron was like, I don't get it. And so I just had to explain. Explain how it was so millennial of Kat to be posting this many Instagram stories. And then Aaron was like, I don't get why it's millennial. And then we got into this whole conversation about it, this debate about it. And it kind of went viral on Emma's TikTok. Not viral, but it got like 50k views or something.
SPEAKER_01People were pissed for all these like random ass people.
SPEAKER_03I was getting dragged in the fucking comments. Claire was getting I had a full-blown panic attack. I was getting screamed.
SPEAKER_01You can't go back and look at it because it's only for the people that I follow, or maybe it's only I can see it. We can send it back to public, but but I just think it's funny because people take stuff online so personally, and it can't be a funny joke. And they immediately will go to a person that they think they can target and be rude towards. And you're like, you have like, don't just don't comment. I just don't understand what you're saying.
SPEAKER_02If you go that route, and they were trying to be like, unless someone's being truly malicious about something, to attack them like that is psychotic.
SPEAKER_03They were being so mean. I'm gonna read some of these comments.
SPEAKER_01They were crazy. I was oh I was so pissed.
SPEAKER_03Oh, this one I I call that mine. I was like, I'm having a panic attack. Delete this. Why does the quote unquote younger one look 15 years older? I was like, fuck you guys. That is so mean. I'd love to show you what you look like person. Chose to not wear makeup to Thanksgiving dinner. Huge mistake. Why does the one in pajamas look younger than the one trying to explain social media? Bitch, I'm wearing a silk skirt and like cashmere top.
SPEAKER_02You just don't get it. I wasn't even there to defend myself, though.
SPEAKER_01Well, it was so funny. They immediately were like, oh my god, Gen Z's are always coming after. Um it's crazy. Millennials. They're doing it as a joke.
SPEAKER_02It's it's it's totally a joke, but I need you to explain it to me again. Why is it inaccurate in your eyes to post multiple stories?
SPEAKER_03It's not that it's inaccurate.
SPEAKER_02It's just give me the playbook.
SPEAKER_03I I'm trying to even explain it. I think there's just something, and I think what the millennials on the tech talk got really offended by, they just took it really personally, and it's not that deep, but you could post your stories, but I think there's something to be said about let's just pick a few. I don't really need to care about your whole life dump. I don't need to see your life.
SPEAKER_02So that's an interest okay. So that's an interesting comment though, coming from a generation who documents their entire lives for a living on the internet. Like there's something to be said, not you, but there's something to be said for how we've transitioned from an era of living in the moment and making memories and just taking pictures to keep for yourself to, and I mean, obviously, I do this taking pictures to like document on Instagram. But I feel like you were also commenting on the way that I post, like Megan. Megan, I would say, is no quintessential millennial poster.
SPEAKER_03You had a really bad one this week, and I bit my tongue. Oh my god, I think this is a better way to put it. It's it's more so the way you post, it's just the way I think the content is presented. Like Joey posted this random picture of Kat in a grocery store. And Kat repos, which is also crazy. This is where you and I are so different. You repost everything. I mean, you're beautiful, so you don't really look like shit frequently, but you repost, you're hitting that repost button. I am rarely ever hitting that repost button once in a blue moon. Kat reposts this like no offense, fugazi photo of her in a grocery store. She's not told that I looked glowing, so thanks. She's not even looking at the camera, she's like, in the photo.
SPEAKER_02Joey posted the colour.
SPEAKER_03I thought it was a funny thing. Shout out Pip and Anchor. Shout out Pip and Anchor. And this is the grocery store they were at in Nantucket. And Kat reposted, she was like, classic photo your brother would post. And I was like, what is this?
SPEAKER_01I mean, then you're I feel like you're you're kind of giving into the obviously I knew it was so Megan core. No, it totally was. And I honestly I love the way that Megan posts, and I know some people will give her shit for it, but I think on Instagram too, there's definitely some gen Z rules about you want to be more mysterious and whatever, and so you want to give it away. Let's tap into that.
SPEAKER_02I think like that's what you can't be you can't be mysterious at the same time as documenting your whole life on the internet. Like the two just don't mix. Like you have to delay.
SPEAKER_01But for the people who don't, who aren't on social media for a living, they can be mysterious if they want to be mysterious. I totally understand if you're talking about somebody whose job it is to be on social media, but again, it's like you also have to not care as much. Then you should just unfollow people if you really care that you're posting more than one story. Like who cares?
SPEAKER_02That's why I post because I don't care what you say.
SPEAKER_01You're like mom who when mom has. I think it's funny.
SPEAKER_02I'm gonna fucking post it. Laugh or don't laugh, I don't care.
SPEAKER_01Mom's like, I don't get why this person followed me. I don't really know that. I'm like, mom, you just don't.
SPEAKER_03You don't know that's like mom also is that's a valid question. That is mom is so specific with her likes too. If a person she knows that posts is not always gonna get that like, she's not gonna double.
SPEAKER_02I gotta say, I'm guilty of that. Interesting.
SPEAKER_03Talk a little bit about that.
SPEAKER_02I am I'm scrolling, but I sometimes I just forget to like it.
SPEAKER_03That's fair. I think we're moving away from the likes in college or even right out of college. It was post, likes, everyone go comment on my post. Now it's just kind of like, all right, whatever. I post one Instagram a year and and kind of call it a day.
SPEAKER_02So one specific trend that really intrigues me that I feel has I don't know if it's like Gen Z or what, but the trend of instead of posting pictures of people on Instagram, it's like, let me post a picture of a shack and a flower and X-Y's. You're talking about my story and a coffee cup to be all aesthetic y. And it's those things are beautiful, but I'm kind of following you to get insight into you don't want to see the beautiful shack I walked past. Yeah, sure. I'll I'll see a shack, but when I when I see people's stories that are if they do a photo dump and it's a photo dump of all aesthetic pictures and not a single picture with a person in it, I'm kind of like, okay.
SPEAKER_03Maybe they're just like, maybe they don't like themselves in pictures.
SPEAKER_02I highly doubt that because their historical photos would say otherwise. I just think it's there's this pressure to be like, I have to fit into a certain aesthetic for the time. So I'm gonna do it. And so I'm gonna post my ugly, funny pictures and pictures of people, and y'all can make fun of me, but I'm gonna keep doing it.
SPEAKER_01I mean, I totally respect it. I think if you're getting to a point where you care that much about the way you're posting, then it's time to delete the app. But I like I that was a subtle dig.
SPEAKER_02Thank you so much.
SPEAKER_03No, she's saying on the other.
SPEAKER_01No, I'm not saying that to you. I'm saying to people who are like the as well. Oh, I thought you were saying me. I was like, okay. No, I mean, I for me, I get people who do that because they're picky or whatever, but you just it's getting to a point where we can't be so calculated about what people think on social media. That's when you have to say, if I care that much, someone's gotta put me in a white padded room.
SPEAKER_02It's getting to be a little too crazy. Completely random, but you know, so you guys know about my posting habits and multiple stories. When I didn't post for a while on my honeymoon of multiple stories, I got DMs being like, Where are the updates? Like, I want the stories. This was the content I was asking for. And I was like, Okay, so your friends who are also millennials who know you're going to be a millennial. My demo audience isn't you guys.
SPEAKER_03And you were giving the people what you wanted. I was excited. I was like, let's go, fucking dumb time.
SPEAKER_02I know I will say when I really feel like a millennial is when I do a story and I do the text box that is the color background and like a phrase. And I know this is chewy, but I don't even I don't know another way to do it.
SPEAKER_03That's what was the grocery store story that was the blog classic older brother post. Like it was so funny. I kind of thought it was I'm being a dick, I'm being a harsh critic. You're such a dick. I'm such a dick. No, I I'm just curious, honestly. I admire how candid you are on Instagram. You know, I care way too much. It's like a balance between I care way too much, but I also can't be bothered to sit here and be like, it takes years off my life trying to be like, should I post on Instagram? What am I gonna post on Instagram? I have to go through all these pictures.
SPEAKER_02It's really a hassle. I had my honeymoon post on my literal to-do list in my phone here for five like legit two months. I'm not kidding. It was a to-do list title. It was a to-do list item, and it was haunting me. And then one day I was like, I need to just post it before I get to the six-month mark because that won't be acceptable, and the statute of limitations will happen.
SPEAKER_01I'm sorry to the people out there, but I'm so happy you got married, but I don't need to see 20 photos from your wedding unless you were in the south of France. Sorry, I don't mean to be rude.
SPEAKER_03No, the thing that the thing that kills me is the 20 grid posts. Post as many fucking stories as well.
SPEAKER_01No, sorry, not the story thing, it's the grid post. It's the grid posts.
SPEAKER_02I have a few, I have my grid right now is taken up a lot by wedding stuff, but a lot of it is reposts from vendors when they do a shared Instagram. Yeah. That fine. And if there's anything about me, you're right. I am a loyal reposter. Yeah.
SPEAKER_01Well, I love that. I mean, you're supporting the company and you're getting people. See, I really agree.
SPEAKER_02There is a fine line, Emma, between posting too much about your wedding and also I think there's a specific time period in which you can. If it's over a year later and you're still posting pictures unless it's an anniversary, it's kind of like Jesus, we get it. You got married, you look beautiful, done.
SPEAKER_01Like, I'm so happy for you, but at the same time, I'm just gonna scroll. I'm not gonna like that one. So sorry.
SPEAKER_03Not that you give a fuck, but I just so this is this is the line I can't really make sense of is because I think that there is Kat's argument, like, post whatever you want, which I agree with, but at the same time, I think we're getting too lax with that, and the wedding thing just reminded me of it. And I know that everyone should be able to do whatever they want. I believe that. Like, if you want to do a whole bit, you do it. But the courthouse wedding situation amongst influencers, in my mind, has gotten a little out of control. Yeah, I know exactly what you're talking about. And it's like, what is the line between yes, do whatever you want, and also like, wow, we're really overcurating. This is this is crazy. Not everything needs to be for the gram.
SPEAKER_01They're trying to do the dua loop, dua loop, do a dua beep, do a beep. They're trying to do the dua lipa courthouse scaparelli, and it's like, babe, you are in a non-scaparelli outfit. You can't mog like dua lipa. You can't. I apologize.
SPEAKER_02I don't know what you just said.
SPEAKER_03Wait, don't I I've curated a list of words I actually want to quiz Catherine on. I did too. So, oh, yes, okay. So you'll be quizzing that later. But you're right, you can't mog.
SPEAKER_01So just And I'm not saying that you aren't beautiful or whatever, but I'm just saying sometimes you gotta accept the fact that you were an influencer. I think some influencers these days are thinking that they are like I think some people think they have four offspring.
SPEAKER_02Plank devil's advocate. Yeah, plank devil's advocate here. Totally. I completely agree that I think it's a lot and everything has gotten a lot, but that's because I don't live in that world and I'm not an influencer. So to me, it seems really nuts in comparison to like I went to my courthouse wedding in jeans of jeans. Um looked super cute, I will say. Um, however, if it is your occupation and you are gonna get likes and brand deals or whatever out of it, I don't know. I'm kind of like, yeah, it's a lot, and I wouldn't do that, but do you? I don't know. Is it their occupation though?
SPEAKER_03I feel like their occupation is other things. I also just think it's more wedding culture is getting so out of hand. And I just think it kind of sets a bad example. We don't like it does. Girlies are gonna be going into debt over trying to have like three weddings, like these people online. They think that they need to be having these, and everyone needs to grow up and kind of decide for themselves. But I feel like a lot of people do go by the trends, and I think it's just too much. It's getting really out of hand.
SPEAKER_02I think this is something that us millennials can agree upon that, yes, all the events surrounding weddings, all of the other events in between, the engagement party, the bait, the the shower, the bachelorette. And I'm saying that I did most of those things. Yeah, yeah. Um, I didn't do an engagement party, technically speaking. I didn't request it, it was a surprise. Yeah, but just like all the crazy curation. Yeah, all the crazy curation of everything. It's like mini weddings before the actual event. It is a lot, it does set a dangerous expectation. It takes away from the actual meaning of the day, I feel like, but I think it's just the culture that we live in of people doing these things so that they can document them and get some elicit some type of reaction. But actually, speaking of this, I I saw a few interesting controversial questions around bachelorettes and whatnot. And one of them was someone asking, is it the bridesmaid's responsibility to pay for the bride on the vacation? What are your guys' thoughts?
SPEAKER_03Did we do that for you? I don't really think so.
SPEAKER_02I think absolutely not.
SPEAKER_03I don't think so.
SPEAKER_02I think that's kind of crazy.
SPEAKER_03No offense. We all I I've dished a lot of cash to be here. I can't pay for you on top of it, unfortunately.
SPEAKER_02Exactly. So that's why I was kind of confused. I was like, who thinks that the bride should be covered? Like, is this even a discussion?
SPEAKER_01Unless I had the really good friend and she was like, Oh, my parents love you so much, and we're really I don't know. There's so as a gift or something? As a gift, I don't know, but I just think it's bizarre because unless you have money to burn, I would never expect that from anybody. I think that would be crazy.
SPEAKER_02No, and I agree, you're already asking a lot of people to take a trip, to take time off work, to spend a lot, to go to pay for the bride, in addition to that, is obscene and just completely obtuse of someone to expect that. The only thing that I do feel like is somewhat common is people will pay for maybe one of the dinners out, you pay for the bride or something.
SPEAKER_01Something simple to like or even like drinks or something. Yeah, like if you can't make it, pay for one of their meals, or I would send shots. Yeah, yeah, totally.
SPEAKER_03Agreed, Emma. That is such important etiquette. If you don't, if you can't come, I think it's important to make your presence known in another way. And it doesn't need to be like bottle service, just like send a glass of champagne or something.
SPEAKER_02Yeah, yeah. That's cute. Um, other thing that I saw is like a Gen Z versus millennial trend. And Claire, this might be more of a question for you since you're starting to enter this stage of life. Is do you find that your friends are leaning more towards the wellness retreat type of bachelorettes versus clurbing and staying out really late and getting really fucked up?
SPEAKER_03I I it's so dependent on the person. I think I think all of my I don't think any of mine are truly leaning wellness retreat by any means. I at least at this phase, maybe in a few years. But I think ours will probably be more go. I mean, nothing crazy, but going out. I mean, I kind of want to have a clubby bachelorette.
SPEAKER_01I maybe just don't want to shake their ass in a club. Right? Thank you. Totally put it put on promiscuous. You don't, I don't speak.
SPEAKER_02No, I literally have to do some serious planning around your bachelorette to make sure I'm not pregnant. Pregnant. I know, seriously. Because I would like to drink and I would like to dance.
SPEAKER_03I need you, yeah. I need all my chicas like kind of shaking their thing, you know.
SPEAKER_02I mean, I'll do I'll be doing it regardless. Yeah.
SPEAKER_03But with I just have this bitch not be able to join in on the of my brain of the gimme gimme club mix playing and like being in a club and there's confetti everywhere. Like that is my dream.
SPEAKER_01She is confetti cannons.
SPEAKER_03Yes. Like just as me in the clerb. Put me on a stage. Yep. God, it's like all I want to do.
SPEAKER_01I don't know why you're not on a stage. I know.
SPEAKER_03Still not a stripper. Actually, you know what? And The Bachelorette, who gives a fuck? I just been like a stage with an elevated surface, if you will.
SPEAKER_01Yeah.
SPEAKER_03Yeah, that's your time to shine. 100% it's my time to shine.
SPEAKER_01Is that really a bad thing?
SPEAKER_02Do you know what that means, Kat?
SPEAKER_01Clocked.
SPEAKER_02Do you know what I mean? I know Haley. I know Haley did this to Justin. Does it mean that's right? Um, like yeah.
SPEAKER_03I guess it kind of is in agreement. It means clock it. Clock it. It's kind of like remember back in the day where you use snaps at something. I see you. Yes, kind of like I see you. Emma, if someone has a hot take, they're like, okay, clock it. You're clocking someone's. Yes, exactly.
SPEAKER_02I just why do we have to come up with an entirely new dictionary?
SPEAKER_03You don't like me saying that I'm clocking your tea?
SPEAKER_02Because it's fun. That's just it's obnoxious.
SPEAKER_01You have to traumatize the tr the previous generation, just like Jen Alpha is going to be Jack. Some of the stuff that he's saying to me, I'm like, don't say that.
SPEAKER_02I don't know. I think my whole thing is sometimes when I hear people speaking the Gen Z slang terms religiously, it just sounds so brutal. Honestly, nails on a chalkboard. I'm leaving the room.
SPEAKER_03That's I know what you mean in some senses.
SPEAKER_02It's fun when you're when you're with your girlies and you're all just kind of around when you girls are together and you know exactly who I'm talking about, Charlotte and Lila. And you guys get going, I'm like, I have to exit the premises. We're speaking Chinese. No, you you guys are like, I wish I could speak Chinese.
SPEAKER_01I know.
SPEAKER_02Like clock, I don't even I don't I can't I can't even think of an example. Got him.
SPEAKER_01We definitely say it seriously, but I would never go out in the world and say that because I would sound like a wonder bread sandwich.
SPEAKER_03We're using it in jest, if you will.
SPEAKER_01Yeah.
SPEAKER_03Got it. And but then it just becomes so serious.
SPEAKER_01It does. What are the things? What was something that when we would say, Oh my god, like you look so cunty in that, and mom was like, and mom was like, What?
SPEAKER_03She's like, Well, Joey said to me that I was serving cunt, and mom was like, What did you just say?
SPEAKER_02I don't mind.
SPEAKER_03Okay, I actually love that term. I know I like that we've reclaimed it's healing. What were the other words? Let's go. We'll all say my word first, Emma, and then you can quiz Kat next. We'll each go through a list. We'll swap words. Okay. I'm ready. So my first word for you, Kat, is chat. I feel like this is Aquila in the B. Chat. That movie. I love Kiki Palmer. No, Kiki Palmer is a big thing. Contestant number one, please define person.
SPEAKER_02Chat. Um can you can you use it in a sentence? Chat. Are you seeing this?
SPEAKER_01Oh, I see. Okay.
SPEAKER_02Is it like we have to talk?
SPEAKER_03No. It's more about the it's just about the chat.
SPEAKER_02Who are you talking to?
SPEAKER_03Like I could read a sentence in the chat, and people would get it.
SPEAKER_02It's time to chat. I'm fucking confused.
SPEAKER_01Kind of? Say it clear. Say it in more of a sentence or something. I need another sentence.
SPEAKER_03I seriously need to send you this screenshot.
SPEAKER_01Chat, did you see Zendaya's look at the Odyssey World premiere?
SPEAKER_02Chat, who is this? This is where I just can't with you guys. You sound ridiculous. Ridiculous.
SPEAKER_01Ridiculous. Ridiculous.
SPEAKER_02Ridiculous. No, honestly. You know what? Can I be mean for a second? Sure. It makes you sound extremely unintelligent.
SPEAKER_03Good thing I'm not trying to be intelligent with my girls, you know? No, I know. I'm just saying.
SPEAKER_02No, it's at work.
SPEAKER_03Are people bringing the slang into the workplace? Are people bringing the slang into the workplace? I'm slacking such a millennial response. Yeah, I'm slacking my boss, being like, Chad, did you did you get my email? This is just a distance of millennial talking about it. Always take. I genuinely think that you guys just kind of feel left out in anything, any of the words you guys try to take, we might give you shit for using because we just like roasting you guys. Yeah. That you just come at us with the only thing you have, which is seniority. You're like, I hope this isn't used in the workplace. Like, don't it's true.
SPEAKER_02I don't I don't really feel left out. I'm just like used insane.
SPEAKER_03But obviously, we're not using it out of work, you know.
SPEAKER_02I mean, maybe some are, but maybe you two are not, but you cannot speak for everyone. I've seen some pretty obscene behavior from Gen Z in the workplace.
SPEAKER_01I don't say six seven to my assistant manager because it pisses her that's hilarious.
SPEAKER_02But also, so what does six what does six seven mean? I don't know. I honestly don't know at all. Is that the point? Is that the whole crux of Gen Z slang? It's like need to make up a word.
SPEAKER_03This is Gen Alpha, it won't have meaning, and you're just gonna have to be in the dark about it. This is more Gen Alpha, I think, where they're making shit up just to be on the inside of it. Kids who are in middle school now, they probably will be speaking like that in the workplace.
SPEAKER_02Yeah, skibbity toileries is all gen alpha. Oh god. So so terms that I do know chat.
SPEAKER_01Oh, I'll I'll chat. Oh, yeah.
SPEAKER_03What does that mean? So chat is literally just addressing a group of people. It's a basically a new way of saying guys, girls. Oh my god, you're like chat. Like if someone texted in the group chat, chat, I'd be like, I'm I'm sad. That was an unintentional rhyme. She's sad another one is I'm seated.
SPEAKER_02I'm seated. I'm seated. So instead of it's synonymous with guys. Okay, synonymous.
SPEAKER_03Okay, vocal word. Yeah, good for you.
SPEAKER_02See, guys, that's a real dictionary word. Ew, I hated that. Okay, give me another one. Let's see. Chopped. That's a pretty easy one. Emma, you're that was on my list too.
SPEAKER_03Good one.
SPEAKER_02Chopped. Someone's really drunk. Wait, what? No. Are you kidding? Girl, you are. This has multiple meanings.
SPEAKER_03Chopped for you're too drunk? I've never heard that.
SPEAKER_02Who's so chopped? He's no, no, like, oh, he's so chopped.
SPEAKER_03No. Don't say that to people. Don't say that. Chopped. Because oh my god, what is it? Oh. Like visually unappealing, right? Yeah.
SPEAKER_02Like that girl's also be that girl's chopped. It can also be used to describe someone who's really drunk and sloppy. Did you make that up or is that a thing? Nope. The other people use that.
SPEAKER_01Who are the other people? You and your two friends, let's say. My millennial friends. Kellen actually says it a lot. Well, he's a millennial friend.
SPEAKER_03Interesting. Is Kellen a Gen Z?
SPEAKER_02I don't think so.
SPEAKER_03What what what year was he?
SPEAKER_02He's younger than me, but he's not a Gen Z, thank the Lord.
SPEAKER_01He's like 95? Timothy Chalamet's age. Yeah, he's 95. Claire, you go next.
SPEAKER_03Um okay, we'll bring this back. Mogging.
SPEAKER_02When you try and steal the camera with your face. No, but kind of.
SPEAKER_01You're you're on the right track. Yeah.
SPEAKER_02You're giving, you're giving face card. No.
SPEAKER_03Um I mean not yes, but also not.
SPEAKER_02So what does mogging mean? I thought I really understood it.
SPEAKER_03Mogging is outshining or outperforming someone. Like if you're moging on someone.
SPEAKER_02Yeah, so if you're stealing the camera with your good looks.
SPEAKER_03You're mogging on someone, or you can like it. Can't you give a mog? When you do the the Zoolander, like the Zoolander face, that's a mog.
SPEAKER_01You know, there are a lot of celebrities that obviously mog like Zende on a carpet, on a red carpet, always gonna mog.
SPEAKER_02Yeah. Okay, now I'm rec I recall when this was used in our family chat when James, Big James, was on the ski trip with Little James, and he sent a picture of them, and literally three-fourths of the picture was Big James, and then like a little sliver was Little James, and Big James was just face moging, totally close to a smile. And Joey was like, You are face mogging him like a frat star in some mogging, mogging, looks maxing, all the things.
SPEAKER_01He was mogging. Yeah, I like mogging better than looks maxing because looks maxing. Clavicular. Hate that man. What is looks magging?
SPEAKER_02Just looking better. Yeah, you're just a max stylist.
SPEAKER_01That's a man that gives way too much of a fuck about what other people think. He needs to be in therapy.
SPEAKER_02What are your both of yours most commonly used Gen Z phrases that you use in everyday life? Give me five most used. Five?
SPEAKER_03Ooh, I don't know if I are we considering low-key a Gen Z phrase?
SPEAKER_01Yeah, they say that. I feel like everyone puts that on the list. I think the frequency is with at which it's used is kind of I would say I use you're cooked a lot when referring at work. You know, if we have a lot of boxes and not enough people, we're cooked.
SPEAKER_02Yeah. Like you're fucked.
SPEAKER_01I feel like that's the big one that I use. And then I say vibe, not saying it actually, but kind of in a sarcastic way.
SPEAKER_03I don't mine are just kind of like low-key. I'm trying to think of what I say.
SPEAKER_01Yeah.
SPEAKER_03Like no one's really saying sleigh.
SPEAKER_01Yeah. I've heard you say that.
SPEAKER_03I feel like not as much these days, Slay Mama. Mama, I used I went through a big phase of saying mama. Oh, I love Slay Mama. Sleigh mama.
SPEAKER_02When we were in Paris, Claire out of nowhere said that to MC, came up to her. I don't know if it was like she was wearing an outfit or something, but she was like, Sleigh mama. But the cadence that she said it at made it perfect. She was like, What did you just say? She was horrified. No, and now I'm I I love that term, but you have to say it that way.
SPEAKER_03You have to be like Mary Claire couldn't stop saying it the rest of the trip. That was so funny.
SPEAKER_02You know what's a millennial Gen Z uh not phrase, but trend that I absolutely agree with, and I don't know what the hell we were thinking. And I actually just threw my pair away maybe two months ago. Skinny jeans versus baggy jeans.
SPEAKER_03Oh skinny jeans are just offensive.
SPEAKER_02Unless you I hope we never go back.
SPEAKER_01No one wants to there's certain type of person that can pull off a skinny jean. Like you would have literally have just skinny legs for skinny jeans because when I would wear a white skin, no, exactly. People are are bringing that back. Up skinny jean with a sneaker wedge, like some of the younger sneaker wedge.
SPEAKER_03Yeah, that wasn't one sneaker wedges so badly.
SPEAKER_02I know. Oh, me too. Never followed up though.
SPEAKER_03Um, but I don't know. Just in general, I think I think I'm more Gen Z in the way that I speak sort of sarcastically, where I'm always like, mmm, totally, you know?
SPEAKER_02Well, Joey always said it claims he claims you have voice fry.
SPEAKER_03Me? A little bit. Oh, totally. Hundreds of totally doing things ironically. Totally, Kyle. I talk to my home friends about this all the time. I feel like it started as doing it as a joke, and then it just sticks sometimes, and it's not good. I don't know if it's vocal fry or say valley, I would hate it's a bad, but it's a lot of fun.
SPEAKER_01But if I expect a valley accent, there are plenty of it's when I get very monotone that I'm just like, yeah.
SPEAKER_03And you're like, when you're talking to someone and you're like, totally, and you're like, you're dead in the eyes.
SPEAKER_01We all do okay, we all do the totally now. I feel like yeah. One thing that I love that's not really Gen Z slang, but someone made up. Shout out, Charlotte, is Bojangles or Bojonglaze.
SPEAKER_03Bojanglazes.
SPEAKER_01When I look in the mirror and I'm like, oh, you look bojongla.
SPEAKER_02Okay, see, that's the kind of words that I can get behind. What are some other great freaking terms that Charlotte has come up with? Charlotte's Fugazi. Fugazi Fugazi. Which is so many. It will come to you. She kind of just breaks down words. You know what I mean?
SPEAKER_03Totally.
SPEAKER_01Totally.
SPEAKER_02We're gonna need to get a full list. But Bojonglaze is up there.
SPEAKER_03Bojanglaze is up there, and yeah, I just she's so funny. But I'll I'll work on the vocal fry. I'm so happy Joey said that to you and not me. Um see, I love your vocal fry. I love your just kind of the shtick, you know? It's just sort of like my my whole voice.
SPEAKER_01You're like a charismatic person. It's harder for people to pull off if they're reserved.
SPEAKER_03Bit is another good one. Bit is oh, bit's a really good one. I love a good bit. Yeah, I think it just means I'm super comfortable with you if I'm slipping into my my vocal fry. This has been a fun little lesson. Can't say I'm on board with it. Class is in session anytime.
SPEAKER_01We'll quiz you next time.
SPEAKER_03Yeah, there will be a follow-up.
SPEAKER_01And if you don't get a 10 out of 10, then I fear is a good one.
SPEAKER_03I fear you're cooked is a great one.
SPEAKER_02I fear you're cooked. You okay. See, you just said it and you didn't even realize it. It's just in your vocabulary. I knew what I was saying. You guys, the I fear I love and Charlotte and Lila uses that term a lot as well.
SPEAKER_03I fear big on the slang. Um, I think we can get into some TBLs, should we? Let's get into some TBLs. Does anyone have anything they would like to share?
SPEAKER_02I'm currently trying nothing. I'm just trying to survive until no, kidding, not survive. I'm fine. But I'm not trying anything new right now. It's great. Actually, I played in a golf tournament, so that could be something I tried. That's amazing. Played it in my first golf tournament, was super nervous, and it ended up being totally fine. It was just a day out with the gals. Now I understand what it's all about, why these guys just want to disappear because it's a long activity, and you're just like you're outside walking with the gals, you're gabbing, and you're and you're gabbing, and it's key who the company is because you're with them for so long. And I've never golfed with friends before. It's always been my husband or my parents, pretty much, or like a sibling. And so I have to say, golfing with the girlies, pretty transformational. And I was like, okay, we're gonna have to pencil this in a bit more. And when I can finally drink, like enjoy the cocktail horse and just giggle, gaggle as we go, you know.
SPEAKER_01Have to be like a certain type of person. I could never golf with a wet blanket, never ghost.
SPEAKER_02I just thought of another Charlotte um ism slash word, goomdrop to describe like an child.
SPEAKER_03I stole this from her. She's always like the scream I scrumped.
SPEAKER_02Oh yes, yes, that's such a good hug. I love that one. See, I want to speak her Gen Z language. Yeah.
SPEAKER_01Umdearing.
SPEAKER_02It is endearing. It is not insufferable. No, it's it makes me laugh. It makes me laugh. Um, so that's what I tried. What I'm buying, these necklaces that Erin, I feel like she might have mentioned on a prior episode that we had, but they are these really cute necklaces from Lacey Ryan Jewelry.
SPEAKER_01Ryan shout out.
SPEAKER_02They're like, they're like beachy vibes, you know, like these kind of chunky stones, and they're all these different colors, and they're just really fun for kind of a summery beach vibe. I love it. So I bought bought some of those, and they're not too crazy. Love it. I finished this book, Dissection of a Murder. Shout out to the the Boston Bookworms, Boss Bookworms Book Club. Cute. Uh, because I got that recommendation from them, and I wasn't ecstatic about it, but I always love a good murder mystery, so I was like, I'm game. I would say it was a solid three out of five.
SPEAKER_01Oh, okay. That's good. It's not amazing, but it's good.
SPEAKER_02No, but it it was it was solid. I I was um I was intrigued by it.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, but yeah. I feel like yeah, I feel like we're not like a family that will give a book five stars just because, you know. No, no, if I love it, I will.
SPEAKER_03But for me, when Andrew and I both had the week off, we did three tennis lessons. He's a really good tennis player. I do not play tennis. Um we tried. I tried being on the tennis team when I was a freshman in high school and was placed on the novice team where they would let me do some exhibition matches.
SPEAKER_01Oh my god. Every once in a while.
SPEAKER_02You and sports kill me.
SPEAKER_03It's not really natural, but the lessons were great. We were paired with this guy, Guillermo, who was upset. Andrew followed him on Instagram. He was like, if there isn't a fair, it's with Guillermo, just so you know. He's so cool. And he was so he was just so helpful in teaching me all these tips and tricks. And I felt I had really improved, and he was super proud of me. So I obviously felt amazing by the end of it. Shout out Guillermo. That's amazing. So now I just need to figure out how to keep it up. Um, so that's that's on tennis, my new, my new sports. I love how you guys played. It was a lot of fun, and then loving, because I have been bricked. I have started doing audiobooks on Spotify, which the interface for audiobooks on Spotify needs to be abolished. They only allow you 15 hours a month of listening. That's stupid. That's I'm ripping through it.
SPEAKER_01It's so annoying. Sometimes, if you speed up the audio, you'll get less hours with an audiobook because it's smart. It shrinks down, but also they're like, Yeah, we actually want you to pay an additional $11.99.
SPEAKER_03And to me, it's like, okay, go jump off of okay, but they make you pay an additional eleven ninety nine, they only give you 15 more hours, it's not unlimited. So I just had to buy an additional ten dollar add-on so I could listen to Harry Potter. So, all of this to say, I'm listening to the Harry Potter audiobooks obsessed on Spotify. And I listened to the first one just as kind of like a joke at first, and then obviously I got so sucked in. They're incredible, they're so good. I highly recommend it. So I'm on book two. I'm kind of almost done with that. I'm sort of flying through. That's my trying, loving, and buying. Um, hoping to not buy much in the coming weeks. I would like to buy that necklace that you mentioned, actually. So, and I think I'm gonna buy those shoes that you have, those Margot shoes that I saw you wearing in Nintucket. Margot, the brown ones. Margot is a shoe brand, and they have these cute suede sandals that I think we're gonna buy.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, the Doen sale, warehouse sale. Today. Bummer. Um, um okay. Um, what do you have? Trying um to not get the that new virus from lettuce.
SPEAKER_03Oh, the diarrhea thing.
SPEAKER_01The diarrhea thing, because I've been sick this past couple weeks. Buying, I would have to say the Tillamook chocolate ice cream. Like, inject that into my veins, please.
SPEAKER_02Yeah, agreed on that.
SPEAKER_01I miss the brigham so much. Sometimes I think about driving the two hours to a grocery store in Massachusetts and getting one.
SPEAKER_02But don't you think that the Tillamook chocolate is a very comparable alternative to Brigham's chocolate? Like they taste very similar.
SPEAKER_01They do, but I just think it's you know how like for men, like they'll crack a cold one open. Like, there's nothing better than cracking open a Brigham's frosted ice cream out of the fridge.
SPEAKER_03I'm finding out that they only sell brigham's in Massachusetts.
SPEAKER_02They're the Massachusetts company, it's or maybe they're but Tillamook is a good alternative because I honestly like I really hate a chocolate ice cream that's too rich and too chocolatey. And I think Tillamook and Brigham's do it right because it's uh it's more milky. You know what I mean? That has honestly that has been one of my top pregnancy cravings is a good old Brigham's chocolate in a cute.
SPEAKER_01You're not like the the the pickle dipped in cot fudge. Like some people think of it.
SPEAKER_02No, no.
SPEAKER_01That's not your journey.
SPEAKER_02That would make me sad. That's not my journey.
SPEAKER_01Um, and then loving. I've been what listening to this crazy podcast about this. I maybe don't want to call her Grifter, like that's a little bit rude, but she's basically the con artist. It's called The Coco Birthman Story. It's a Deer Media podcast. It's from two years ago, anyway. She alleged that her mom trafficked her when she was a kid. But I won't get into all the details, I don't want to spoil it. But um, what's it called?
SPEAKER_02I'm gonna listen.
SPEAKER_01The Coco Birthman story, I think it's called.
SPEAKER_02Okay.
SPEAKER_01And but I really love when a podcast is done by an investigative reporter because I think they're so articulate with how they do the investigating. And I'm picky with that because they go into detail. They have the side investigators, whatever, and you get all these different perspectives. I'm almost done. It's really good.
SPEAKER_03Well, on that note, so fun hanging with you girls, as always. Cat. It's been real and it has been fun.
SPEAKER_01I'm trying to think of when I'll see everyone next. Kat, it's gonna be a little bit longer. Claire next week, sister.
SPEAKER_03See each other. We'll see each other around the block. Love y'all, all right. Love y'all. Bye.
