And as far as the memory loss strain goes, it is a 70% sativa hybrid of amnesia haze and face-off OG. The main terps are terpenoline, MERSIN, and cariophyline. It makes you feel giggly, focused, and talkative. And the tastes profile are ammonia, pepper, and woody. Our friends at Leafly say it's 25% THC. Our friends at Allbutt say 31% THC. And our friends at Dank, of course, say 35% THC.

It broke really big, Skip. Almost could not fit what I broke into the J. And I usually use my shredder to do the same amount for every J that we test. And I almost couldn't fit it all of it in. I had like a little bit left outside. As far as the sample, 3.5 grams, definitely a left for both of us. And with a lot left over, I could I would even hazard enough for two leftover, either J's or blunts. So this was very, very abundant. How was the look, Skip?

Medium-sized buds with lush greens and yellow highlights, frosty trichromes all throughout, a strong ammonia or cat piss note, a lot of frankincense note. Sample here was a bit dry, but plenty of suppleness left. So you ready for the smoke? Ready for the smoke, Skip. Let's do it.

First impression, not a choker, need not even a throat choker. Has a slight turp profile when you taste it. It has a slight hint of ammonia. And dare I say a little woodiness. I would say I don't taste the pepper. Do you taste the pepper?

But I definitely taste the ammonia and a little touch of woodiness in the beginning. Yeah, like a mustiness, kind of. I can definitely smell the terps in the air. A rarity for us with Dank. Yeah. And it's a definite like ammonia kind of cat piss kind of thing going on.

Ooh, first choke. Yes, we have some experience with the strain and various companies with this strain. So we were very excited when we saw that Dank had this strain. Yeah. And uh, you know, the the good thing is that we actually have a point of reference with the strain. Yeah. So we have an idea of what it should be like, and that can give us an idea of what it is like, actually.

I gotta say, it doesn't grab me as as quickly. I'm still just starting either way, but usually with the strain, I experience some form of uh like a capture, if if that makes any sense. And that is through the flavor because it usually has like a pretty present flavor, kind of like citrusy flavor. This one is devoid of that. No citrus notes, none of that green kind of notes I'm used to with this strain, none of that here. I can definitely concur.

Much milder flavor. Yeah, almost none. And but it it's there though. It is there, but it's a lot milder than the other strains of memory loss that we've tried. Now, that isn't, you know, that's not gonna make him break the strain, of course, because at the end of the day, what you're trying to do is get high, not say, this tastes better. So yeah, and I'm about the first third in almost, and starting to feel a little bit of a a little bit of pressure behind the eyeballs. As soon as I said that I started coughing. Isn't that just the way potheads? There's a definitely a highness starting. I am starting to approach about halfway, and I definitely have a highness starting in there somewhere. Where is it gonna lead me? Don't know yet. I can definitely say the high gates are open. I love that term. The high gates. That's actually a pretty cool term there. The high gates are opening.

Because again, with this strain, I usually experience uh like a rush of high. Usually it I would akin that to like a crowd rushing you and you're pushing them away. That's usually my experience with memory loss. Here, I'm searching for the high. It's there, but it's a bit more elusive. I feel like it's it's there for me, it's just much more subtle.

Okay, than your previous. It is elusive for you, subtle. I guess it's subtle, but it but it's not that it's non-existent. I want to make that clear. Right, it is existent and it feels similar to the other memory loss strains that I've had, but it's a more subtle like feel.

It's not as like punch you in the face, right? But it has the familiar characteristics of that high that in the back of the head, kind of high.

Yes, and the foggy like feeling in the front, like you know, pins and needles in the front, and then like so. It does have the similar feelings that we are used to with memory loss, our experience with memory loss. It has the similar feelings, like, yeah, it it feels like memory loss, but it's like a really I'm not gonna say mild because that's wrong too. It's not mild.

I would say a light version for you, it's mild, like a junior version.

For me, it's not mild, like the high is there. I do feel the high, and it's a good high. I know because it's tickling the back of my neck a little bit, and you're the same familiar kind of high, right? So it's all the familiarity, it's not milder for me, it's subtler. Okay, okay. So it's there, but it's kind of like a little more like you know, hanging back. Hanging back. Yes, yes.

Yeah, I feel that to an extent because this strain usually rushes you. Yes, like the high gets there before you can anticipate it.

It's almost like not with this, yeah. It's almost like with other memory losses that we've experienced. Uh it's almost like if yeah, it's almost like it rushes you the high before you're even ready for it, kind of. Yeah, yeah, it does, it rushes you. But this one is kind of like you know, sauntering in the door. You notice that? Yeah, yeah, it's weird.

The other one backs you up. You even have to put the blunt down, yeah. Like kicks the door in.

This one is like yeah, this one's like subtle. It's like, hey, what's up, man? I rang the doorbell. You know, like that kind of thing. Yeah, let me up, you know. Other memory losses that we've tried, and that'll be a future uh podcast, of course. Kick the door down, you know. Oh, yeah. Now, I'm not necessarily saying that that's better or worse. Exactly. Isn't it exactly? It's just different, different, of course. It's different, it's f the same familiar feelings, yeah, but in a different like setting, like a different entrance. That's very interesting, I gotta say.

Absolutely. It could be because of a point that you made earlier in a in a conversation we were having that this one is just memory loss. Where a lot of the other varietals are uh hybrid or a mixture, right? It would be like the one we favor the memory loss. OG OG of ours, yes.

That strain is our favorite of ours, and you can see like maybe the OG part is the punch in the face part, right?

And this is just memory loss, even though the the mix here is face-off OG, that's where the OG here comes from, because it's just memory loss, but it has an OG in it's and then it has a haze, right?

So you know that's a nice little combination when you think about it, right? OG and Haze.

Well, I mean, to their credit, you know, it can fit a different situation, but for what we favor and the characteristics that we like, yeah. I would agree.

Yeah, it's uh it's uh fits like a glove into our our favorite profiles.

Yeah, only thing missing, well, I mean, considering that this is a lighter version, I would say, is really the Turk profile. Again, I'm missing the taste for me.

The taste is there, it's just different.

It has less of that, like when you smoke OG, for example, right? It has more of the pepper, right? And more of the wood and the flavor.

This one, no pepper. None, and the other ones usually have a strong citrus profile. Some may have it like orangey, some more lemony. This one of those. Yeah. This one, none of those. Not in the scent, not in the turp, nothing.

I I really have to say, and I've asked this question many times. I wonder if this is by design. It's possible.

We don't want to smell, you know, like we don't want to be loud and we don't want to choke you, and we don't want to keep you high all night.

You know, it could be it. Visually, compared to the ones we're used to, were a little darker, the same green hue, but darker, uh more frosty, but in a different way. It was like more dusty. Things like that. I'm sure that the more greener, more lush varietal, probably costs more to grow. It takes more time to grow. More difficult to grow. Right.

Yeah, that's a good point. This has slowly become a choker because now I'm just coughing every other every other poll.

It started smooth and now it's a choker. But a great sativa, I mean, the strain, I'm saying it's a great example of what a great sativa dominant varietal can really be. A few other ones, you know. It's done correctly. I concur. You know, that's a good example, green crack, sour D, all these personal favorite blue cheese. Blue cheese, all these sativa dominant varietals, you know, when done right, are a beautiful thing.

Well, I don't think blue cheese is a sativa, isn't it? Blue cheese is sativa. I'm gonna have to look that up. But I love blue cheese. One of my favorite strains. It's a good strain. Oh, fantastic.

And you got haze. Multiple types of hazes are good. They're all good when done right or when there's a tension to certain characteristics, terps being one of them.

Yes, we can't stress that enough. Growers, terp profiles. Oh, I'm sure they know. Come on, the scientists are telling us it's not just the THC, it's the entourage effect between the THC, the terp profile, and the flavonoids. Come on, people. What it tastes like, what it smells like, and what it does to get you ha.

They know all that, they're just trying to get away with what can we sell these New Yorkers that throw away money like water and capitalize on them on the cheap.

Gotta agree, that's true. Well, I'm down to my last third, and I gotta say, yes, I am definitely in a pocket of high. Uh, it's a familiar high for someone who has done memory loss or memory loss OG or any of or any of those two type of hybrids. Uh, but yes, there's a high there. It's definitely uh a heady high. One that you know, like your back lobe is your your the back of your head is feeling it, and then your frontal lobe is kind of like having pins and needles effect. Good high, good high. Always happy with memory loss, the strain itself, or any varieties. Um, but yes, I'm in my last third, feels pretty good. It's uh can I say smacked? Maybe I can get smacked at some point when I finish this J. So I'm gonna have to get back to you on that when I do the just finished. But as for now, definitely high, definitely feeling good. Familiar high for those you like that those of you that like memory loss OG, which is a high that's a very frontal lobe pins and needles thing. I think I just repeated myself by the way. It's all good. So enjoy it. Yes, I do. What kind of high is it? It's a high that's versatile. If you want to do something, I think you can. If you want to just hang out and chill, I think you can. It's not really a high that makes you sleepy, so that's not something if that's your goal is to like wind down and go to sleep. Probably not good a good strain for that. Well, I mean, if you do smoke a little too much of it, well, I mean, that's every kind of weed, right? If you smoke a lot of it, you're gonna fall asleep. Yeah. I mean, isn't that great that if you owe the smoking weed, all that happens to you is you fall asleep. It's the way it was meant to be. It concur again.

But let's just start off like coming from definitely high.

Dare I say smacked? I want to point out that the freshness played a big part. There was a terp profile that was present, and although I'm not a big terpenaline fan because of the ammonia thing, I was glad today because it meant I smelled and tasted as well as smoked. And the high is good. Feel like good for whatever. You know, I can hang out, I can chill, not sleep. Okay, so if you're looking for an Indika kind of feel, you knew. No Indika profile in here, even though they say it's a hybrid or somehow, right? It hits the same notes as the other memory mems that I've tried, or variations of mem that I've tried. And dare I say, for me, one of the better ones, I can honestly say that.

A functional high, just like it's daddy. And the reason I say that is because it for me, it still feels like a diet version of memory loss. Similar characteristics, but a lot lighter in the volume, in the high, in the clarity, and mainly above all, the taste is lacking of taste and turp profile. So that takes away one third of the entourage effect, and that's why it doesn't feel like usual memory loss. So you ready for one hour later? Definitely ready for one hour later, Skip.

Actually, I will say it was a great high, uh, but real tapering going off right now. Going on, actually, I should say. Uh half hour in, I was still smacked. I will say that. But now I'm definitely feeling tapering off going on. Some body on the come down, but manageable body, which is surprising because it's a sativa dominant, but I guess that's where the indica kicks in. Actually smacked to a comfortable high. Still, you know, a noticeable drop off. At one point, I was zoned out watching television, which, if you know me, I I never do that. And that's a good thing. Don't get me wrong, that's a good thing. It could become a snoozer if smoked under the right circumstances. Like if you're really tired, yeah, or if you're like actively trying to sleep with it, it could definitely become a snoozer. Uh, but you know, good high. It felt good. I felt comfortable, I liked it. It's not too sativa-ish, so you're not like super focused and creative, but at the same time, you're not, it's definitely not indica-ish either. It's just one of those like really level highs for for me, I guess. And it was an enjoyable experience, but there is a noticeable taper. There's a noticeable like drop um one hour later. I can definitely say that. How'd it go for you, Sky?

It was a smooth smoke, but really with no excitement, no taste, no uh classic feeling that I get from memory loss. But I'm starting to realize that this in itself could be just another varietal. So, you know, those expectations I have to taper. Uh I wasn't in the citrus heaven that I'm used to, but it does hit folks. This thing does hit. And the come down was a a little harsh, and I don't mean harsh in a bad way, just that if my attention waned, and I also find myself kind of dozing off, watching TV, and it had that characteristic. But it's not a bad thing because it actually proves that it did hit. It hit. So it's doing what it's supposed to do, just differently. You ready for the smack ometer? I'm ready for the smack meters. Yeah, let's do it. Definitely feel like this.

I'm gonna give this one an eight. An eight. You know, it was uh actually it didn't start out that way, honestly. When I started writing it to rate it, I started at six, but I realized something as 25 minutes went by, I still was high. As half an hour went by, I still was high. Here I am an hour later, and it's still the same high, folks. So as I continued writing, it went from a six, seven, seven point five, and to the final eight. And I'm giving it that because of its longevity. Again, that is a characteristic of memory loss, but really I it went totally against what I expected. There was no way I expected that. No terps to speak of, no taste, none of that. It's like smoking nothing at all, but we'll get you high.

I gotta say, I had I have slightly some different perspectives in here, Skip. Um, you first of all, for Jays, it's usually a faster high. You you get high, like super high, but it's a lot, it's a shorter high than blunts. Blunts are are much more calmer high, but that it lasts a lot longer, at least from my experiences with blunts when I, you know, back in some days and stuff when I used to smoke blunts. So for me, it it what is amazing is that I have to concur that I'm still high. And you know, usually mine's doesn't last as long. So I'm still high. I gotta say, it was a versatile high, you know. Like, um, and right after putting it out, I was actually smacked. Like, I was really smacked, and it was like it lasted over a half hour. So I I with that I concur because I was smacked, like seriously smacked, and that was impressive. I'm not gonna lie. That that's you know, that's what you look for, like you know, when when you smoke, you want to get smacked, right? More importantly when you go by, right? Yeah, or more importantly when you go by. I had trepidation because of the clear jar. I really had trepidation about that. I have to say, like, I was already like, oh. Man, this thing is gonna be dry, it's gonna be you know beat up. But the boost pack did its job. I'm not gonna lie, it did its job. It was amongst the freshest that I've seen come out of a jar, and I'm talking about even a dark jar. So that is super, super enhancing the quality of your product over time. I think this is a great idea that you guys do it. I hope it's not too expensive, and you can keep doing it. Uh, very good turf prop profile for me. That's why I'm surprised that you said that. I gotta say, I'm surprised, Skiff. Throughout the I'm saying throughout the cracking of the jar, like I we cracked the jar, I smelled ammonia right away. Uh the roll when I when I crushed it, I'm smelling ammonia and the smoke, even the smoke had that little touch of ammonia with that touch of wood, you know, like so. I was getting the turp profile. Now, this is the thing. I have smoked with you the other memory losses that you smoke. Did this have as strong a turp profile? No. Did it have the same turp profile? No. But it had one, and in my opinion, it definitely did have one, and and amongst one of the most impressive of you know, dank products that I've tried, and uh as with dank specifically, that's saying a lot, and I'm not even uh like I like I said earlier, I'm not uh uh the terp ammonia terp terpenaline, terpenaline. So I'm not a fan really of terpenaline, but man, this did this job. I'm not gonna lie, it was okay for me tonight. It was okay. Um it was a marked come down. I will say that as a con. Like it was a marked come down, and it was funny because for the first half hour, smack, smack, smack. But like it happened literally in the last like five, 10 minutes before one hour later. Like I was smacked, and then I'm like thinking to myself, wow, one hour later is is you know coming and stuff, and then all of a sudden I just felt it. Like it you felt the come down, you felt it. Don't get me wrong, where the place I ended up is a nice place. I'm high, you know, I feel good, I feel more functional. I'm not just sitting there smacked, but it's not you know that level where I was. So if you want something that's just gonna keep you smacked the entire night, watching, you know, the Jeffersons, like I just finished doing, which I love George Jefferson, but whatever. Um this is not gonna keep you doing it all night, unless you're gonna smoke it all night, you know. Right. Uh it did its job and it did it well for the time it did it. Uh, if you can make me zone out and watch TV, I have to give you a nine. And that's why we really had a different experience here, I have to say. Uh, because for me, it was like a nine. It was it, you know, I'm still high right now. It's not a, you know, it was a come down. I agree. And that's why it's not a 9.5, a 9.7, because there was a come down. But I was smacked. And this is the smack a meter, you know. So you gotta recognize that for one point in time, I was smacked. And it was a decent point in time for an old, you know, uh experienced pothead like me. Usually you don't get stay smacked very long when you're experienced pothead, and that was a decent amount of time. So I have to give it its due.
