SPEAKER_04Hello, mates. Welcome back to Giglin Highland. You're here with the Professor and the Skipper, and today we are reviewing Pop Tarts by Rolling Green Cannabis.
SPEAKER_02Rolling Green Cannabis, New York State cultivar based in Green, New York, with 20 years cultivation experience, utilizes CEA technology, which is tech and data, to gather info and use it in the cultivation process.
SPEAKER_04Gotta say, for this strain, I had some trouble finding information. So I'll give you what I have and you can see what you can do with the rest. This is an Indika dominant hybrid of 7030. It is a mix of lemon cake and sour OG Alphae. The effects are hungry, talkative, and energetic. Flavors, apple, grapefruit, lemon, strawberry cream, no turp profiles on any sites. No turp profiles, my friends. As far as leafly, no THC content. All Bud says 18 to 24% THC content. And RG or Rolling Green says 25.8% THC content.
SPEAKER_02Three and a half gram or eighth glass jar, average price$35. This comes from the green label series, which is the basic level, which also includes the orange level, which is standard, and purple, which is their premium series. Are you ready for the roll? Ready for the roll, Skip. Let's do it. Let's do it. And we're back with the roll.
SPEAKER_04So how did it roll, pro? Well, it didn't break big or small. What you see is what you got in the package. However, the package did bring enough for both the J and the Blunt, with leftover enough for one more either J or Blunt. How is the look, Skip?
SPEAKER_02These are large and long, lean buds, very supple, pale greens with orange hairs, very sweet piney notes, fruity notes, very pleasant. Doesn't smell much like weed, but smells like something that you would probably find at Bed Bath and Beyond. Trichome soaked, so this should be fire.
SPEAKER_04The turp profile seems strong, so do I smell pining in there? I'm not sure. There one thing I will say that I do not like rolling green is there was a huge branch in the middle of a couple of the buds there, and that's no go. As far as smell, little sweet. I just wonder, how would it smell if it wasn't dry?
SPEAKER_02Less dry, at least.
SPEAKER_04Ready for the smoke? Ready for the smoke, Skip. Let's do it. First pull, sweet taste. Uh, as far as apple grapefruit lemon, not getting that so far, getting a slight sweet taste.
SPEAKER_02And it's not muted. It's it's very prevalent, prominent. It's like a mouthful of cotton candy there.
SPEAKER_04It has a sweet quality to it, but also like a slight dankness to it. Do you like taste that in there too? Yeah. A very slight dankness to it.
SPEAKER_02Could even smell it at times as a I don't want, it's like cat piss a bit, like a dankness, a mustiness.
SPEAKER_04But it's very, very light. Yeah. Smooth pulls. Not a choker or a tickler so far. First pull, you got a little bit of a tickle, but after that.
SPEAKER_02And there was no listed terps, nowhere the terp profile wasn't listed anywhere.
SPEAKER_04I couldn't find it in any sites. I looked at multiple sites. I looked at our friends at All Bud. I looked at our friends at Leafly, nothing.
SPEAKER_00Nothing.
SPEAKER_04I looked at a few other sites that we normally don't use, but we also look at for research, and they also had nothing either. The only thing I can say is that I mean, I did have a hint of pinene for a second there, but that's really the best I can do it as far as the terps.
SPEAKER_02Well, it's not too hard to kind of break it down. You feel you smell the piney, you know, there's gotta have a bit of merciline in it because it has that smoothness with the candy.
SPEAKER_03That berry.
SPEAKER_04Yeah.
SPEAKER_02Maybe some karyophylline, but the peppery at the throat. Yeah. Some karyophylline, definitely.
SPEAKER_03Looks like a slow burner. Yeah. I haven't even approached a third yet.
SPEAKER_04Okay, so I can finally say I'm approaching the first third. And feeling a little bit of something behind the eyes. It's not identifiable yet. It's a funny feeling because my nose feels it. Weird to say, my nose actually feels something, a tingle, which is something that's not normal for me. So I guess we'll see where that goes.
SPEAKER_02How's it going for you, Skip? Well, I'm about a third in. And uh, it does burn slow. I've taken a lot of pulls and still it looks like it hasn't moved an inch. Um I feel like uh relaxation, mostly, but not much high, just relaxation.
SPEAKER_04It's probably the CBD aspect kicking in. Probably. Okay, so the effects say hungry, talkative, energetic. Do you feel any of those things? No, no, actually, the funny thing is I was gonna remark before I look down and looked at the effects again. I was gonna remark on how it this is kind of like a quiet kind of thing. It makes you like, right? Yeah, it's the opposite of talkative so far. Uh energetic, no. And hungry, no, no, not feeling any of those things yet. I feel something behind the eyes, a little bit of a high. The knolls thing is gone. I can feel like a high dawning, you know, or or like the skip likes to say, the high gates seem to be opening, but they're opening slowly. Yeah, but something is happening. Okay, so I'm about halfway in. And I gotta say, uh talkative, okay. I could see that that's starting to happen. Yeah. Uh energetic. Well, I can definitely say that I'm not feeling any type of down effects. Are you?
SPEAKER_02No.
SPEAKER_04So, okay. Hungry? No, not hungry. Uh as far as high, I can tell that I am high, but it's a strange high. There's uh, you know, there's no one, it says it's an Indika dominant, which I'm not sure if that's true at this point because I do not feel any Indika effects. Right. It feels more like a sativa to me, not for nothing. I feel more energetic and a little bit more heady than body. Right. Um, I have a tiny bit of body that I could feel like right under my left shoulder blade. That's it. You know, you know that's body because what a weird place to feel something, right? So that you know that's definitely a body effect.
SPEAKER_00Yeah.
SPEAKER_04So other than that though, I can tell I'm high, but I'm not smacked, right? Like I feel like kind of my brain is okay. It's focused. You know, again, a sativa trait, right? Focused, creative, right? Yeah. Maybe I'm wrong about the the 70-30, uh, maybe it's the other way around.
SPEAKER_02I guess I'll have to double check that. Yeah, it could be either way. I mean, even if in the minor, let's say the sativa side is a 30, that's enough for a lot of effects to carry on. You know, it can share the effect from either side there, it's part of the entourage effect. So right.
SPEAKER_04The question is though, am I gonna feel high? Because that's always the internal question. That is, or is this just an enhanced, you know, CBD joint? Because you know those things exist, but yeah, that's not really what we're looking for if you want to smoke some weed, right? Right. Okay, well, let's see where it goes.
SPEAKER_03R U feed.
SPEAKER_02But let's just start off like coming from IUP.
SPEAKER_04First of all, I'm down to my last third. And gotta say, uh, definitely talker, definite talker. Uh definitely feel energetic. I'm starting to feel a little bit of the indekin effect. So that little uh nub that I had under my right shoulder blade has grown a little bit. Yeah, I could feel that a little bit. There is a high there. It's kind of a social high, though. It's not something like at first I was quiet when we first started smoking it, but then it did become a talker. So that I will admit. As far as like feeling smacked, no, no, no, I I don't feel smacked. Right. Maybe it's an ascension factor.
SPEAKER_02What do you think, skid? It's an expansive high, it's not lateral, and it has like again that cohesion factor where talking is easy and definitely that.
SPEAKER_04So it's definitely talk it talkative. It's definitely I feel energetic, even though I feel the little kink and my shoulder blade. No hunger. Well, not yet, at least. So I we have that. Yeah, and there's definitely a high. It's not a smacked high, but there's definitely a high in there. Yeah.
SPEAKER_02Low level, smooth high.
SPEAKER_04Yeah, well, let's see what happens with my last third.
SPEAKER_02Well, I'm in the just finish, and uh actually I did something that it usually doesn't happen. I finish actually before pro, which is strange because blunts always burn slower. But either way, I mean, I feel all the listed characteristics, you know, very energetic, I would say, yeah, talkative, creative, kind of a cohesion thing going, and uh pretty pleasant, I gotta say. So uh we'll be heading into the one hour later.
SPEAKER_04Wow, so I'm doing my just finished segment, and what it this is just crazy. Uh actually, Skip finished before me, which is nuts. And I smoke the J's and he smokes the blunts, but my J was just really burning very slow. I had to relight it so many times. It's crazy. Uh, but it was it it was a pleasant smoke. Uh you know, a lot of the characteristics that Skip said are true. It was a pleasant smoke. I felt I have a good high. I like the word that he used earlier. He said expansive high because that's true. It's like it feels like your the your brain feels wide and like a wide open space, but I'm not smacked. As long as much as that sounds kind of smacked, there's like a threshold, and I don't know if it hit it, but it's like a pleasant high, though. I'm not gonna lie, it's a pleasant high. Um, the turp profile, the sweetness stayed, yeah, but I think that was pretty much it. By the time I got to the last part, you know, I was re-louding so many times that if it had a turp profile, I probably lost it at that point. But other than that, yeah, let's see where it goes. It's definitely a talker though, because we're sitting here yapping away, and it's we're not really talker kind of guys. So that's another thing I can say. So I guess we'll see you one hour later.
SPEAKER_02Okay, so we're one hour later. How did it feel, Skip? Actually, I'm not high or outwardly high anymore, but I still feel the remnants of the high, and a lot of the uh cohesion and ease of uh conversation and things of that is still around.
SPEAKER_04I don't know. It sounds like you're still high.
SPEAKER_02Well, not outwardly.
SPEAKER_04All right. Well, I d I kind of know what you feel though. Even that was just a joke because I know how you feel. It's like I have the physical aspects, I feel a little foggy, and I am very talkative still. Those two parts are true. Uh, I don't feel anybody um energetic. Do you feel energetic?
SPEAKER_02Not much as I did before.
SPEAKER_04As I did before, right? Uh, so I am at the point where like I kind of understand what Skip is saying. It's uh it's this weird level where you feel all the physical effects like of being high, but like mentally you're not really there anymore. It's definitely a talker, so this is a social strain. Would you agree with that?
SPEAKER_02Yeah, yeah, it's fair to say.
SPEAKER_04It's like I always say, right? I quote the great Mel Brooks. Well, not him himself, but one of his very wonderful films. It was nice, not thrilly, but nice. And it was nice tasting. Smoke. First 15, I was super talky, very energetic. When it settled into the half, it started to kind of fall off a little bit. But it wasn't as noticeable as as normal because there's no body drop with it. So like no real body effect. And that's gonna that's gonna cause me to double check if it's this is really an Indica dominant, because there's no real body in this. But the head, the head effects were kinda a little strong, a little okay. It was more euphoric kind of thing, right? Like a CBD thing. And then in the last 15, it kind of like tapered off. Right. And here we are. Definitely feel like this.
SPEAKER_01This is alright. This is actually alright, and definitely feeling this. This is alright, this is actually alright.
SPEAKER_02One hour later. How does it go, bro?
SPEAKER_04You know, Skip, I'm gonna get all philosophical here a little bit. When I think about the smack a meter, right? The eternal question always comes first. Are you high? And for a time I was. But although there was a high, there was not a smacker here. Does this high serve a purpose then? Those who want to jam with others will find themselves energetic and definitely talking. I'm still not hungry, pushing over two hours later. The turp profile was present, mostly sweet and a little dank, or like you like to say, cat litter-ish, but not super strong. It was also present in the inhale. I'm gonna say that, but it wasn't present out in the exhale. One turn off, the huge branches that were avoidable when cultivating rolling green. A feature that at this point is just not acceptable. It also was slightly dry, something I am unaccustomed to seeing in a rolling green product. Is it the strain? I don't know. So I guess final verdict. Definitely an energetic and expansive talker, but not an upper atmospheric smacker. And so for that, I give it a 7.1.
SPEAKER_02What do you think, Skip? Well, we're in the same uh similar and same ballpark, actually. Um, not high anymore, but uh there's a strong cohesion factor still. Great taste, good turp profile throughout at times, depending where in the blunt, I would find a great note and then I would lose it. Um not high, one hour later, but it was an enjoyable ride, and for that I'll give it a seven flat.
SPEAKER_04Wow, we were actually kind of in sync there.
