Rolling Green Cannabis, also known as Greener Standards Inc. from Green New York, is an upstate cultivator with 20 years of combined cultivation experience. They use controlled environment agriculture, which basically means advanced tech and data to grow your weed. They offer a pretty large selection of what appears to be tiered products, and their price points match their tiers.

Scented Marker, a 50-50 hybrid of permanent marker and pineapple fruise. Top effects are creative, happy, and euphoric. Top flavors are diesel, sweet, and pine. Top terpenes are caryophyllene, linoline, and mersine. The THC contents are as follows: 25% according to Leafly, 14 to 23% according to All Bud, and Rolling Green is claiming 30% THC.

As far as packaging, our scented marker buds came in a 3.5 ounce glass jar. It looks like it's part of the orange or standard tier, which is their middle tier. And that usually goes for around somewhere in the$40 to$50 range. We keep hearing about these Mylar bags that also Rolling Green has, but uh we never seen any of them. We ready for the roll, Skip?

Yes, and as far as look, it was very supple. Lots of trichromes. I mean, shining bright, light green with purple accents and orange hairs, and it looks exactly like the picture in Leafly. I love that. It's a strong turp profile, diesel and pine. However, I did not get the sweet from the turp profile and talk about freshness. This thing was incredibly supple. I mean, not one hint of dryness. It just looks completely fresh. It was fantastic.

And just like the we've been reviewing Rolling Green all weekend for the past, this is the third day. Uh the varietal that we chose to review has a gelato or um type thing going on. And you know, they all seem to be like different versions. Yesterday's version of gelato was very pleasant, very light, very nice. This is another iteration, it seems.

But it's more like diesel-ish.

Yeah, yeah. It's a little, it has more of an edge to it, but it's the decent edge. It's not a sharp edge.

It's similar to like that diesel kind of taste that you get from Pineapple Express. So I guess where they that's where they get the pineapple from.

Yeah, yeah. But I can taste that, yeah. So it's like uh it's like a light gelato with diesel-y kind of thing. I to me it's more of a biscotti, like diesel-ish kind of. Well, you know, for me, when I say gelato, I'm just throwing it out there, but I mean that. You mean that like school. Biscoty, kind of natural, sweet. And it's similar to me, at least to Runts. Like Runts and Gelato have that same characteristic, sweet, candy-ish, kind of dense smoke. This one and the other ones for the past three days are the same, but a lighter, more tamer version.

Definitely a slight choker, folks. If you take a deep pull, it's gonna make you cough. Still not an unpleasant pull. First third end. We're definitely in a talking mood. So this is definitely a talker. Yeah, uh, as far as euphoric, yeah, I could say it's kind of euphoric, but I'm not gonna go into happy. Like, I'm not feeling particularly happy or anything. Uh creative, yeah. I mean, if I wanted to create something, but right now we're just sitting here um shooting it with uh J E and the blunts in our hands. Um, and it seems pleasant so far. It's something ascending, but I'm not gonna say it's a high yet. And that's first, third, and how's it going for you, Skip?

Same, same. And it's uh I already feel it. And that euphoric, I think I'm getting used to what that is because of our prior reviews here with the same female type. That euphoria, I'm starting to zone in on it. It's like an opening of the mind. It kind of feels like a dizziness a little bit.

A little bit, yes, like in the physical aspect. Yeah, a slight, like yes, like a dizziness, lightheadedness or something.

But it's what I think it is, it's like the brain kind of like opening up a little bit.

And then you end up feeling like kind of yourself, like more open. More open, yeah. It's it's interesting, it's an interesting feeling, and it's it's something that seems to run. I I agree with you, that seems to run through the rolling green products. Yeah, they seem to like to put euphoria in their strains. Yeah, and then you know, there's nothing wrong with that, of course. But that is a pattern that we have noticed. This one is burning, I wouldn't say fast, but it's not burning slow. And I'm about halfway at this point, and yeah, I'm definitely feeling a high. Tip of my nose is numb, um, little foggy behind the eyes. Yeah, definitely high. And it's uh seems like an interesting high. We're gonna see where it goes. But it's true what Skip says. It's like I felt this high before, yeah, or a variation of it, yeah, and one of their other products. So their products have very similar phenotypes. You know what's crazy? It's it's the orange line.

Remember the orange line? It's like three straight, either gelato, biscotti, or runt kind of thing.

Right? Because we've we've tried about three or four at this point, right? Orange. So, and like I could say like about three straight of them were like either uh that kind of phenotype.

Yeah, like all related. And I know that's you know, it can't be that all the orange ones are this. No way, you know that. But maybe these are the ones we just happened to pick that they all seem to be related, right?

Yeah, because even the last one we said had a grandparent that was like biscotti or something, yeah.

All related to runs or gelato in one way or another. Or biscotti. Yeah, and biscotti is related. And if you guys know any one of those three that like the way it feels and the way it tastes, this is it. It's like a cookie kind of thing. And has that heavy, like mocha kind of feel? Yeah, which to me, like it interferes and intercedes into the high, like the the flavor. It's very important. I don't have an issue with it myself. It's very important. It has the same high, the the flavor has the same openness.

Wow, but it's actually ascending the high. That's actually very nice. It's an ascending high. Excuse me, I sound a little ghoulish there. I'm starting to approach the last third, and yeah, it's definitely ascending to a good high. It's uh a foggy high, an expansive high. You know, when your brain expands like width instead of height, though. So I'm feeling that expansiveness. But I'm waiting to ascend to a level that I can say is smacked. I am high. Really high? No.

But I am already high, definitely. How about you, Skip? How you feeling?

Um you know, the blunt is burning very slow. And um a little bit more than half. And yeah, I'm high already.

I'm high. You know, I will say it it it actually is very similar to some of the other rolling green strains that I have tried. Uh, you know, with a variation, a difference. And I'm not being critical when I say that, but just an observation that I think Skip and I can concur in. And so it's it's an interesting observation. Maybe it's just high talk, right? You know, as we like high talk, but still it's an observation that we made separately and can and you know brought to the table together, so that there's something to be said when that happens, right? However, as far as the high goes, good high, I'm definitely in a good place. I'm definitely high. I'm not gonna say I'm very high, but uh, it's a good high, it's a functional high. It's a high that you can like go out and do something with, right? Yeah, you can party, you can have a nice time. What do you think? How does it make you feel good?

I like this man. I mean again, this is not uh a strain that I would um even touch verse or even look at, but this one is nice, I like it. Skip are you finished? No, I got I got scared for a second there. Holy crap. You didn't say it. He did it again, he finished before me. No, this one here is like um and I can see why it you know I'm taking my time with it because it doesn't require those longs, you know, strong pulls because you get the high in every pull you get a bit higher.

So it's like so yeah, I I can see what you're saying. It's it's like it's pleasant enough that you actually enjoy the pull, right? Yeah, and the exhale. You get a good exhale, a good profile, and the exhale, and a good amount of THC. Yeah, it's thoroughly it is an enjoyable smoke. First started as a choker, but then it it became more smooth as it settled in. Yeah, I can definitely agree with that.

So I just finished my J and it was actually really good. It was a good smoke, like we were saying earlier, and I am high, and I feel the highest sending, which is a positive. I am hoping that it keeps going. I guess that's really all there is to it, right? The real question, the eternal question, always the question, are you high? And I am high. Now am I smacked?

And yeah, man, this is uh it's a good smoke here. It's smooth and it's you know, very run, very gelato, but very smooth, no harshness. Uh, not a very dense smoke, but a powerful smoke, you know. I took a while to to finish because really, like I described before, didn't need to take strong pulls to get the amount of THC at every pull. Pretty good. I'm looking for it.

It was a very pleasant experience and did not taper at all for the entire hour, right to the last minute. Right at the hour mark, I felt like a slight come down, literally right at the hour market. That was like so freaky, but it was a pleasant ride nonetheless. I have to say that the high was expansive, and I can say I even approached smackness, but never got to smackness. Like I even like approach a couple of peaks there in the middle, which was really cool. Uh, but you know, now I'm in the come down, so I don't see myself getting to like any higher levels, but you know, it it cut it came down into like a comfortable, you know, groove, you know, a stone groove, if you will. Yeah, so you know, a pleasant experience overall. I actually like the strain. I liked how it worked, I liked what it did. I thought it was a good run. What did you think, Skip?

Yeah, I gotta agree with you. It was a pleasant smoke, very pleasant. I would definitely reach for this again, no problem. Um, it's uh you could say another improved version of the gelato type of uh effects and taste and and feel again, an improved version, you know, a sustaining high, less body than the original and less edge, but the high is very sustaining and elastic, if you will, you know.

Okay, so let's see. It was a pleasant smoke, good terps all the way. Uh, from opening the jar to the last pulling exhale. I I had turps, terps, turps. I love that. Um, when done smoking, it was an expansive, and that's the word that keeps coming to me. An expansive, wide, a wide high. Am I high? Yeah. Did I touch smacked a couple of times? You know, like Adam touches God in that painting. Yeah, a couple of times I actually did. Uh, but I didn't stay sustainably smacked, but that's okay. And you know, another thing I liked about it was that it lasts almost the entire hour, the the first effect. And now, even though it has tapered off, it settled into like this really casual high. This was like a more casual current one. So that's also really nice. I mean, I I had a great experience with this, I can honestly say that. And with that in mind, I am gonna say, since I didn't hit smacked under a sustained level, I cannot do anything nine or higher because nine or higher means that I was smacked for a serious amount of time, you know, in that high. Right. And I can't say that, but I will say that it was great all the way, in other words. So I'm gonna give it a solid 8.5. Wow. And say that I was very impressed with it. And yeah, I would actually do this again if you know, given the chance. I definitely would.

Yeah. How about you, Skip? Well, I'm right there with you, pro. Um I'll start by saying impressed. Very impressed. I mean, was we've been reviewing rolling green all week, so I'm getting used to the quality and the feel, and it's all very good. And uh once we opened the package, it was terps everywhere. There was a lot of suppleness in the bud. Uh, it looked great, very frosty, pale greens. It looks odd how frosty it is at first, you know. I mean, impressive all around. Everything, the trimming, the stems, and then right down to the the grinding, it broke pretty big. That was a plus. And then getting through the smoke, very pleasant. Right.

Also, the fact that it looked like it, you know, like advertised. Yeah, it looked exactly like advertised. It was completely fresh. I mean, totally fresh. That was excellent. And you know, there's no real way for the dispensary to control that. So I'm not gonna get on them or give them a plus or minus for the fact that it was so fresh. Right. But that was incredibly impressive.

Yeah. And for that, I give it the eight. Eight flat. I mean, impressed. Impressed. Definitely will reach for this again.
