Smoking session review of the Purple Cream cannabis strain released by Rolling Green Cannabis.
Somebody told me what somebody giggling highland with your house. Skipper. And we're back with Gigglin' Highland. Today we are reviewing Purple Cream by Rolling Green Cannabis.
SPEAKER_00Upstate cultivator, aka Greener Standards Inc. from Green, New York. They have 20 years of combined cultivation experience, and they use controlled environmental agriculture that they call advanced tech and also data to create a pretty large selection of what peers to be tiered products. Definitely.
SPEAKER_01Purple cream with origin depending on where you get your source. Some say is a 50-50, some say is an indica dominant or slightly Indica dominant hybrid cross between Blackwater OG and green crack. Top effects are sleepy, tingly, and hungry. Top flavors are lavender, pungent, and tree fruit. Top turps are mersine, pinene, and caryophyll. And a hefty 33% according to Rolling Green.
SPEAKER_00As far as packaging, this haul came in a 3.5 ounce green jar, which is Rolling Green's budget uh version. I think purple is the high end and orange is the mid, and green is the budget. And we got this one here from Base Eye Cannabis right on Union Turp Pike off Springfield Boulevard in Queens. Make sure to pay them a visit, y'all. Definitely. Let's roll it, Skip. Are we ready? We're ready. Let's do it. Let's do it.
SPEAKER_01We're back with the roll. So, Skip, how did it break? It broke a bit small, but it was mainly due to how resonant it really is, especially after it gets broken up. And the sample was definitely enough for both the joint and the blunt, but there's hardly enough for one more round.
SPEAKER_00Yeah, it was sticky-icky. As far as the herb itself, it was small to medium-sized nugs, still supple, but on the back end of supple. We had colors ligens, yellows, ambers with brown hairs. The tricones shone right throughout the buds. And the terps are there. It smells like pungent berry, which is one of the other alternate uh uh flavors, which was berry cream and spice.
SPEAKER_01Yeah.
SPEAKER_00So yeah, it has a little bit of one and a little bit of the other. Yeah, skunky berry. That's right. Are we ready to smoke it? We're ready. Let's do it. Let's do it. All right, so first impressions. It smells a little bit pungent. Definitely have that berry. So it's it's funny because it's kind of going more with the alternate uh thing, right? We had another one, another they you know, another place said it might also be purple cush with a cream strain.
SPEAKER_01Yeah.
SPEAKER_00So it's pretty up in the air. Uh, we don't really know where it comes from, to be honest, guys. But we found what we could find and we brought it to you. All right. The pull feels nice. Let's see how it feels. Smoke is very light, not dense at all so far. Yeah. Uh as far as flavor. I definitely got the berry, got the pungent. Not getting the lavender or the cream or the spice. Right. So it looks like the other one was more correct as far as flavors. Wow, very light smoke. Yeah. It's like you almost like, am I smoking? Do you have that same feeling? Yeah, yeah. I have to double check. Right. I have to like look at it and make sure I'm blowing out smoke. But very, very light. Yeah. So, um, you know, as we get started, we gotta call out rolling green a little bit here for dirty pool. Okay, rolling green. Uh yeah, listen. So, you know, when we do our research, we look up the COA, and rolling green has this practice where they don't put the COA of the direct batch on the package. What they do is they give you a COA and it's a like blanket uh COA for the strain itself. The problem with that is that there's numbers that are, you know, the strain's numbers. It has a barcode. And our numbers do not match. So the COA that Rolling Green has listed on their website for purple cream is not the COA for this batch of purple cream. So we have no idea how old this batch is, we have no idea when it was uh uh when it was packaged, when it was shipped. We don't know anything. We know about a later batch or a different batch that you placed on your website. Rolling green, that's dirty pool. Okay. What you need to do is tell us about this batch right here. Right. So you're really not being honest about this batch. You need to do better because that's being deceptive and dishonest.
SPEAKER_01The better side of that could possibly be that this one is older.
SPEAKER_00Right. It's older. You would, as a company, back it up. Their responsibility to account for that, yes. Even if it's older, yeah, back it up. If it's older, then say, okay, older T uh older COAs are here. Right. And then we can look for it and find the correct COA. But it is definitely not the same COA. So you're giving us information that's not what we have in this package. Absolutely. And that's dirty pool. Rolling green, that's dirty pool. Now back to the strain. Very light, very light pulls. It almost feels like you're not smoking. And you know, for potheads, that's like, wait, am I gonna get high? Right if I'm not feeling something hard in the chest, you know, yeah. I don't know, it's not like it's not scratching my chest, yeah.
SPEAKER_01And there's a major disparity between the THC content, depending on where you look. Most places are listing it in the logo, teens and tens.
SPEAKER_00That's right. All but said it's 10%. Yeah, 10%. Leafly said 18%. Yeah. Rolling Green 33.5. Yeah. Now we're not calling rolling green liars.
SPEAKER_01Right. But still.
SPEAKER_00But obviously, if it is really 33.5% THC, then this is a slightly different strain from the purple cream that Leafly and Albut are messing with.
SPEAKER_01And that's a given. That that usually, you know, they generalize uh strains and they give you general information as it's given to them, you know.
SPEAKER_00It's funny, but it's like I'm getting hot smoking it. I don't know if that's just me or the strain. Yeah, so far, pleasant. Yeah, pleasant, tasty smoke, pretty tasty. What are you tasting, Skip?
SPEAKER_01I'm getting this like a general sweetness and the skunkiness. Not not very defined.
SPEAKER_00But a bit of more. Yeah, the one that's more definable is the pungent. So I'm in my first third. I guess we could start our effects. Are we feeling sleepy, Skip? No, tingly? Hungry. No. Okay. And then the alternate one was relaxed, euphoric, and uplifted. Relaxed, euphoric, uplifted. That's what uh Rolling Green said about it. But I'm not really feeling that either.
SPEAKER_01Right. It's uh that's a hard one there, at you know, 10%, 18%.
SPEAKER_00But I am actually feeling something, so I can't lie about that. My head is kind of getting like cotton. I'm getting a cotton head. Um, and I'm feeling a little bit of pressure on my brain. So something's happening there. Body-wise, uh, nothing yet. Actually, I do feel like um, yeah, like I don't know kinks. So I guess that works medicinally. Right. Um, because I'm not feeling any kind of, you know, I'm not feeling the day. Everything feels loosey-goosey. So that's good. Yeah, I feel it in my eyeballs in the back of my head. It's not like really grabbing me by the throat, but it's like it's kind of like slowly coming on. Do you feel that? Yeah, like uh it's like like not trying to like bull rush his way in, it's like quietly coming in through the back.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, that's what it feels like, and it's ironic and interesting at the same time because of the low THC count, but also the dominating THC type, which is it's an Indika dominant, and I could kind of understand why it feels like that. It's like a low indica, heavy, but low at the same time, if that makes sense. It it feels like the type of indica that's gonna couch lock you. Right, right. Yeah, but not it's not heavy yet, it's like you're entering that that feeling.
SPEAKER_00Okay. I could definitely say there's a little tingliness. And like I'm getting a little tingly, but it's like Skip said, it's almost like a precursor to being couch locked. You know that feeling. That feeling is also a little tingly here. You don't want to get up. But I have to say, it doesn't feel like 10% THC. No, so it feels like all but has it wrong, or at least this is not the strain, all but try it out. Right. Don't worry, my friends, at all, but we know that you guys are not liars and you report to the best of your ability. We appreciate you. As you can tell, we use you in every show. We cite you in every show.
SPEAKER_01It feels like it could be between like 18 to low 20s.
SPEAKER_00Now remember, you're not are you like halfway? A little more, a little more than half. Right. So we're like we're just speculating at this point. That's true. And I do feel it ascending. But I can see what Skip is saying about feeling like a classic in Dika.
SPEAKER_02Yeah.
SPEAKER_00Because it kind of has that, that like, you know, your your eyes are like looking like you're high, they're half asleep. Yeah. I'm starting to get that feeling. That relax, I guess you can say. Yep. That like, oh that's good. Yeah, it takes the edge off there. In our experiences with Rolling Green, we have uh, I mean, I guess the biggest takeaway that we've gotten from Rolling Green is that we're a little confused. At least I I guess I should just speak for myself, right, Skip? But uh the confusion comes from uh that we you know we don't understand the tiers because we've tried quite a few from all three tiers and there's no like hierarchy as far as quality or effect. At least we feel that way. Um the purples some of them we found were not as good as a green, right? And you know, so and some oranges were better, like were amazing, you know, and it's like that's supposed to be the mid-tier, so it's either that we have the tiers wrong or that the tiers don't really matter. Possibly, and this is an artificial hierarchy, yeah. Because this is green, right?
SPEAKER_01Yeah, this is their budget tier, and it's it's nice.
SPEAKER_00Which also I I I'm sorry, I forgot to mention it retails at around $35 to $45 with tax.
unknownOkay.
SPEAKER_00Uh the the mid the the green uh tier, the orange tier usually goes from about you know $40 to $50. And the purple tiers usually like 50 to 60, right? Somewhere in there. So they all go up about $10. But like we said, we found that there wasn't really like the hierarchy felt artificial to us. They all kind of felt the same, you know, like they all belonged in the same group. I think our all-time favorite ended up being like either an orange or a green, right? Yeah. So I'm halfway, is a slow burner. And um, yeah, I'm feeling a classic Indika high. Yeah, I feel it on my eyes, right? I feel it. The physical effects on my face. Yeah. So that I'm sure that if someone walked in the room, they're gonna say, Wow, you're high. Yeah, got the droopy eyes. Um, you know, feel good sitting in this chair. Got a cotton head, uh, no aches and pains. That's pretty much what's going on. And now that I'm halfway, let's go back to the effects. Um feeling, we got six effects because we're comparing, right? So uh sleepy, tingly, yeah. I'm actually feeling that one. I'm not gonna lie. Hungry. No, I never understand those. Relaxed, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah. Uh euphoric.
SPEAKER_01Oh, really?
SPEAKER_00Yeah, I don't have that one. Umplifted a little bit. Okay, all right. So got about three out of the six. We're just rolling. Yeah, also um, same thing happened with flavors, right? We had lavender pungent tree fruit, and then they also had berry cream and spice. So, wow. And again, at least in my perspective, it's a mixture of the both. Right. So I tasted the berry, but I also tasted the pungent from the other one. Right. And I did not taste cream. Did you taste cream? No. How about spice? No, no, really. Right. Uh, how about tree fruit?
SPEAKER_01That one is interesting, but nothing that I can describe it as such.
SPEAKER_00Right. I gotta, I kind of gotta say the same thing. Yeah, like I the the two that stood out. How about lavender?
SPEAKER_01Lavender? Hmm. That one I struggled with because I I get the berry or what I'm thinking is berry. And I'm saying, could that be the lavender? But it's buried in me.
SPEAKER_00Yeah, because I I think you're right, because it's more sweet, you said, right? And lavender doesn't, it's not necessarily sweet. Right. So, yeah, not lavender either. So, really, two out of the six as far as flavors. And uh, you know, that's why I always advocate that they should have only the COA, should only be about this specific batch. You know how some companies like to umbrella the COA? Right, and you see, that's exactly why they need to do that. You see, because of what just happened there with this jar. And you're right, it might just be an older jar. Right. But the point is, is that we should know that before the point of purchase. Absolutely. You know, our so should we be reading the barcodes before we go and buy it at the store? Like, is that how we're gonna know if something's fresh? Right. Which that's a good point. And that's not how it's supposed to be. You're supposed to be able to zap the COA and know everything about this batch. Right. Well, I just zapped the COA and I don't know everything, I don't know anything about this batch. Right. So that's an issue. Big issue. Wow, I just got a real blast of sweet there. It was like a swish or sweet. Remember those? Yeah, those cigars towards the end is getting a little more harsh. Not much of a talker, as you guys can see. You know, it catches you in the mood there. Yeah, it's an indica. It has you sitting in your in your own space, in your own, you know, headspace. That's where it has you. So not that it's a bad thing, but you know, it's if you're gonna do this like post like on a Friday night, you're not gonna go out after this. You're gonna just be like, yeah, I just want to hang around. Right. And that's what you're gonna want to do. So I'm down to my last third, and yeah, it, you know, the the same high that we've been talking about has just been deepening.
unknownRight.
SPEAKER_00You know, uh not I'm not gonna say to the to the level that I'm like super smacked or anything like that, but it's just getting a little deeper. Right, you know, I'm getting uh I'm digging deeper into my seat. And as far as physical effects, that's pretty much it. You it does give you like a feeling of a couch lock. It's there.
SPEAKER_01Yeah.
SPEAKER_00Um, and the high is somewhat physical in that sense, you know, where you're feeling the couch lock, you're feeling like you look like you're high. Um, and as far as the headspace, yeah, you know, cotton feel, you know, foggy cotton.
SPEAKER_02R you feel but let's just start off like coming from the U feet.
SPEAKER_01At least it moved to me. Yeah, rolling into my just finished there. And it's uh it's like a it's a deep high, but it's narrow. You know, it's not expansive at all, and it does have a strong physical manifestation or stronger than the high. Yeah, because I I don't feel anything either physically, so it has that numbing effect, and yeah, it gives that jupey eye, but really not flying too high, not bad either. And we'll see how it goes into the hour.
SPEAKER_00So rolling into my just finished, and uh yeah, the high is pretty good. Uh, you know, we're here talking. I'm getting introspective and stuff, so yeah, I'm definitely high. Uh, you know, final rundown. Um, sleepy, nope, relaxed, a little bit tingly. Yeah, I felt that uh before, I don't feel it now, but I felt that before. Euphoric.
SPEAKER_02No, no, really.
SPEAKER_00Hungry. No, uplifted, a little bit, yeah. Uplifted is okay. Uh, so yeah, that pretty much is the rundown, and um let's hope it lasts an hour.
SPEAKER_01Let's do it. One hour later. And we're back at Keegan Highland one hour later. How did it go, Skip? One hour later, the high as it finished was prominent, but not strong because this is a low-flying, or I could say a more a better way of saying it, it's a narrow high. So it doesn't have a lot of bandwidth, but a little bit of elevation there. And um, it it went through the hour with a slight taper at the end, but the uh after effects are still there. Yeah, the hour was pretty interesting.
SPEAKER_00I felt very old school high-ish. Um, yeah, listening to music was a lot of fun. I actually laughed to myself because it was I was listening to uh music and I just had all these memories of being younger and being high, listening to music, because it was like old, older music from back in the day. Not that back in the day, but you know.
SPEAKER_02Yeah.
SPEAKER_00Um, I also gotta say, at one point I got a little sleepy on the calm down. Um, but yeah, I was still high. Um, and one thing I didn't like though was towards the end of it all, I started getting a little bit of a headache. So that part I didn't like. I mean, but there could be a lot of factors to that. So I don't want to just um attribute that completely to the strain. Right. So I think with this we can take it into the smack meter. We're ready. Let's do it. Let's do it. Definitely feel like this. This is alright. This is actually alright, and definitely feeling this. This is alright. This is actually alright.
SPEAKER_01We're back with the smack a meter. How does it go, pro?
SPEAKER_00All right. Well, let's do the final rundown. So, uh, you know, when we opened it, uh, it was really nice looking, uh, small to medium-sized nugs, right? Very supple looking, very nice. Uh ambers and yellows and greens and tricones, you know, terps. Uh, as far as smoking it, very pleasant experience. Uh, didn't cough too much. Uh, we did get berry and pungent, which was from two different uh pieces of information. So and you know, it was like a very old school uh Dika feel, you know. You got a little bit of the couch lock, uh, you got a little quiet and point and then talkative in others. Uh it was very heady and also very, you know, you also felt the body too. Yeah. But there was like a heaviness to like the head. So it had all of that. When you were smoking it, uh it was very uh that was prairie and pungent. But then after a while it went away. Of course, it got uh, you know, the smoke got in the way. Uh and yeah, uh it was a great start. The hour lasted, so it lasted it, it went through the hour, and that was pretty impressive. However, the come down was a little harsh, and you know, I ended up with like a slight headache at the end, which is not fun. So, with all of that, I'm going to give it a 7.1 with all those factors.
SPEAKER_01Okay.
SPEAKER_00What do you think, Skip?
SPEAKER_01Like-minded. You know, this was a nice smoke. It was a nice experience. Uh, Indica light. Uh on taste is there, the taste is there. The feeling is a bit strong, but again, like I said, a bit narrow. Uh, it has the uh typical Indika Hallmarts, again, but the light version, you know, the dry eyes, the uh droopy eyes, the slow motion kind of thing going on there in the head. Strong and light, but long lasting, uh low flying. And for that, I'm gonna give it a seven.
SPEAKER_00That's where we're at with that. All right, I think we got it. And good mates, that is our review. Don't forget, if you have any comments, opinions, concerns, or just want to drop us a lifeline, visit our comment section or our YouTube page. And don't forget to hit that follow button.
