String Gang, a celebrity weed collaboration with the rapper Styles P from the group The Locks. They are just distributors. The cultivator is actually a New York cultivator that is unknown. They don't own the weed, they just own the pipeline. Packaging happens by a company called AP Cohen Licensing and Distribution is a company called One Off. The other thing you should know about them is that this is not the only brand they advertise in New York. They also have Runts, Doobie Labs, etc. etc. etc.

Candy Rain, a 7030 Indica dominant varietal, cross between London Pound Cake and Gelato. Top effects are relaxed euphoric and arouse. Top flavors are butter, berry, and sweet. Top turps are caryophylline, limonine, and humolene. THC contents are as follows: 20% according to Leafly, 16 to 21% according to All Bud, and 22.3% according to Strain Gang.

It broke pretty even. It was pretty much the same pre and pros grinding. It was enough for the whole show, which is one blunt and one joint, and possibly enough for two more rounds. Pretty generous there.

Gotta love that. As far as the look, it was slightly frosted nugs of light green, dark green, beige, and brown. The turfs are popping. It was a little bit of berry, a little bit of pine, and towards the end, it also had a little bit of dank. The supple, small, and medium-sized buds, the tricones are there if you're looking for them, my friends.

Pleasant uh pulls tasting. Got the pine, got the berry. Also got a little bit of the um that electric taste. Yeah. Did you get that too?

Yeah. It's definitely a gelato. Definitely. But it's um, I don't know, the smoke seems pretty smooth. Like kind of even or balanced. And he says that as I cough. It's not always due to smoke, you know. It's a a lot to do with the dryness. Definitely a pleasant exhale there. You getting that? Yeah. Meaning like even, you know, gelato generally has like an overpowering bouquet. And here is a, you know, it's pretty even between the smoke and the bouquet, you know. A slightly fast smoke.

Uh I'm already about a third in. Uh you know, feeling something, my cannabis senses are tingling a little bit.

Um but you know, nothing crazy yet. Uh, it's been a pleasant smoke so far. Um as far as like the experience. Feels really good, tastes good, exhale is excellent. Uh so yeah, just waiting for the high to kick in. You know, when I see that one of the effects is aroused, yeah. I've never I don't know. I guess that I miss the boat on the aroused factor when it comes to effects, because I I don't think in my experiences I've ever had a marijuana that made me aroused.

I thought the same, and I was like, wow, that's out of left field there. You know, I mean, everyone is different, but I guess, right?

Yeah, I guess. I guess it might affect other people in a different way. Maybe it's gender, you know, like a gender thing. So the body chemistry of a woman, maybe they feel aroused, but a man, you know, I don't know. I don't know. But I've never, I can honestly say I've never felt aroused smoking weed. Neither have I, you know. I felt like happy, I felt all those other things at least once or twice. But aroused, nah. So far, it's been my experience with these things that they're like very pleasant to smoke. Yeah, you notice that the experience is pleasant, it's nice, like it, it's tasty, the excess good.

And then one usually it's something that relaxes you, so immediately you start feeling like kind of good, you know. It looks like what this company's thing is a pleasant experience when you're smoking. Yeah, not too overpowering. It's it's the smoking, the act of the smoking that they want you to like center on and enjoy.

Yeah, which is pretty interesting. Yeah, it seems like they they got that tuned in there.

So I'm about halfway in at this point. I'm starting to feel a high settle in. Feeling it behind the eyeballs. Seems like a cool high. Yeah. Uh a little bit of a heavy, heavy in the forehead high, you know. Feel a little dense so far, it's kicking in. How you feeling, Skip?

Hey man, this is groovy on this side here, you know, and I'm not really a gelato guy. So I can appreciate, you know, when they take it and do something a little different, you know.

Now let's find out if it's thrilling. It's a weird experience because it's if if if it has a ceiling, then it's really about the experience itself. You know, oh, it felt good, the high felt good, it was a you know, pleasant smoking experience. Now, this is just speculation because we are just starting to uh review strain gang as a brand. Yeah, so uh we've done very few at this point, and you know, we need to do more research, more research, more research in order to uh figure out if this is my hypothesis is true, right? But we you know, Skip and I, we we definitely uh believe that uh strange brands, weed brands, they are trying to have a theme when they bring you their products. And each brand has a theme, right? You know, some brands their theme is to you know be um really colorful and really fruity, a lot of beautiful flavors, everything tastes good. And that's like for the casual fan, you know, because you want to that's the new fan or young people or you know, someone who's doesn't smoke all the time, they're gonna love that because it takes away kind of it it smooths, it smooths what's usually the rougher edges of smoking weed. Right. You know, it smooths it a lot, it tastes good, it doesn't taste bad, you know. It doesn't usually isn't usually not a choker. You know, the packaging is pretty, you know, it's like all these things that are usually, you know, marijuana usually is not called any of those things. Right. Um, some others are like, you know, we don't care, we're no frills. We don't care really about looking nice, but we're gonna get you high. We're gonna smack you up. And there's some brands like that, you know, and then you you get the packaging in some plain, you know, brown paper bag or you know, some weird dull color, like, oh, here it is, that's it, you know, or a clear, clear package or something. Like, yeah, yeah, here that's it. They didn't even think about packaging, but that thing punches you right in the face when you smoke it. You know, there's some that try to strike balances where it's like, you know, they make products on a spectrum, you know. They want to try to capture like a large market share of the audience, and we've seen that also. And so that's gonna be my hypothesis about this one. It's about the experience, yeah, as opposed to like really smacking you up. So, who would be the audience for that? Probably the more casual person, too, right? Yeah, so I am in my last third and I'm settling into a good high. It's a nice high, I'm not gonna lie, right? It's a feel-good high.

Um, I haven't reached smack status though. Um, but wow, what a really pleasant high. Like, that is an incredible product, right here. Yeah, the high is a good experience. It's um, let's see if we can run down the effects. We have happy. Do we feel happy? That was like a secondary effect.

Like, I'm I'm not like unhappy, I guess, but I'm not like feeling overjoyed or anything like that. Right. Uh relaxed, definitely. That's the first thing that hits you with this product. You start to relax right away. Uh euphoric, not really. No, no. Like, I'm trying, I was trying to like reach for it a little bit there, but I mean, being high could be considered a euphoric experience, like in itself, right? Or at least it should be. And then, of course, the one that Skip and I were talking about earlier, aroused, which we both agree that we've never really felt that marijuana gets us aroused in the first place. If it does for you, however, then this one purports to get you that aroused feeling. So maybe it'll work for you. Am I just blabbing high talk right now? It's a nice wave, man. Yeah, man. We read that as far as reviews goes, Candy Rain is considered their most popular stream. Yeah, it's definitely a favorite there. As far as flavors, I got the berry. Did you got the berry, right?

Butter. I didn't get butter. Uh sweet, yeah, yeah, it was sweet. Yeah, and then something else that we got was uh pine, which we we suspect came from the humiline. And then another thing we got was a little bit of dank, you know, pungent. Oh, yeah. We got a little bit of that too, especially and the back end, like when we finished rolling, like, and it was all rolled, like that came at the back end of the like of the turp, which was weird. It was like, wow, did you just smell that?

Yeah, it was like magic, like like another something else walked us, walked past us, right?

Like we're you're smelling the bell berry and the pine, and you're rolling it and everything, so then it's rolled, and we're standing there, you know, talking, and then it's like, wait, did you just smell the change right there? Yeah, it was a little strange. Dank all of a sudden, right? So uh that was also interesting. Um, and yeah, we're finishing it. I I am like rounding out the last earth, and I can say I'm impressed so far. Am I smacked? No. But I'm cruising to use uh the skipper's parlance, and I feel really good, and I'm pretty close to smacked. Like I'm I couldn't say I'm close to it. You know, who knows? Maybe another wave hits me and I get there. That'd be fantastic.

Not more than the uh relaxed yeah, not feeling any achy. No, maybe that also took care of you know the little aches and pains because I don't feel nothing.

Right, I feel pretty pretty good. Yeah, it's true. I feel pretty inoculated. And again, this goes into my notion about how terps have a lot more to do with how you get high, because accordingly, this thing is only max 22% THC. According to the the three friends. Wow, another thing, Skip. This is the closest I ever seen the three companies like be in sync, right?

Leafly, all bud, and the actual uh company that's putting the product on the shelf. Yeah, usually they're exaggeratedly higher and leafly and all bud, you know, sometimes they're in sync, sometimes not. So big shout out to my friends in All Bud and Leafly. Big shout out to both you guys. They got it together. Yeah, you guys really help out. You really help out, and you you deserve the shout out. And there are other companies out there that do the same that are smaller, but those are really the two biggest, it's Leafly and All Bud. And you know, sometimes they don't have the info, but hey, I gotta say, most of the time they have info, yeah. You know, yeah, and that's great. We gotta give them a lot of credit for that.

Wow, so rolling into my just finished segment, and gotta say, very good smoke, feeling a very good high. I can say that I'm close to smacked, uh, not much of a talker, more of a like a you're in your own headspace kind of high. Yeah, you notice that? Yeah, definitely, but not in an unpleasant way. It like feels pretty good.

It's definitely a high, folks. A good high. Definitely feel the same. It's a nice high. It's not overpowering, it's smooth, you know. Cruising, very nice. I guess that's my just finished, and uh, I guess I'll see you guys in an hour.

Well, it was an interesting and actually decent ride here, but one hour later, there's not much left. More, maybe more or less the remnants of a high, definitely, and a strong one at that. Kind of like a 420 hangover.

Okay. I um for my part, I can say that uh I am definitely on the calm down, but it was a complete pleasant ride the whole time, the whole hour. It was very pleasant, had a lot of fun with it. Uh, got into what I was doing, and you know, like definitely uh let's take a look. You know, it I definitely got creative and focused, which is a kind of sativa-like kind of quality. Yeah, and it actually felt very good doing so. So pleasant experience, but definitely, definitely on the calm down.

I don't think mine is as severe as Skips, but it's uh more generalized now, more of that like post-high high. Yeah, and that's kind of where I'm at right now. With that, I think we're ready for the smack a meter.

Hey, it was a decent and very enjoyable ride. You know, I'm not a gelato person, but this is nice, folks. It's very well balanced. The smoke is not overpowering and delivers a pretty good punch per pull. For that, I gotta give it an 8.1. Pretty good deal here. Okay, Skip.

I think you uh you pretty much said it all right there, but let me add a little bit more. So let's do the rundown. Um, when we opened it, very nice looking nugs. They were frosty, light green. I mean, the terps were popping right from the gate. It was very pretty. Uh, they were trichomes. Uh, the roll was really nice. It broke about even and it actually had a lot left over, so that was pretty nice, you know, for the post. Yeah. Um, the smoke itself was very pleasant. It was a pleasant experience, and you felt yourself getting high in waves as you were smoking it. Oh, yeah. The post smoke, fantastic. It was like you were even maybe touching like smacked levels. Maybe like you were literally fingertips touching it. And uh, that was really nice. But the idea was that it wasn't super overpowering, like the skip said, but it was very pleasant experience. Right. So, this is good for a casual user or for someone who wants to use it when they don't want to be too smacked or couch-locked or anything like that. Right, they don't want to feel any of those things. So, it would be better for something like that.

If you want something to get you super smacked, however, I don't know if it gets you super smacked. You you almost get there though. And with all that, I guess it's time for my final word.
