As far as Ghost OG, the strain itself, it is a 70-30 Indica dominant hybrid of Afghani Indica and OG Kush. The terps are linalul, lemonine, caryophylline, and mersine. The effects are relaxed, sleepy, and tingly. Flavors are citrus, pine, and earthy. Our friends at Leafly say it's 19% THC. All Bud says 18 to 24% THC. And our friends at Strangang say 27.75% THC content.

How did it go, pro? Well, it broke a little small upon the roll. Um, but I'm not gonna be too angry about it because it really was about the fact that it was very fluffy, and that's why it broke a little small. Usually fluffy nugs break a little smaller. Uh, all we had left was a small nug after we rolled the J and the L.

How did it look, Skip? Large to medium size, very supple, very fresh nugs. Forest greens with orange hairs and gold trichomes, earthy undertones with a slight skunk. That sounds really good. Yeah, interesting. Are we ready for the smoke? I think we're ready to smoke it. Let's do it. Let's do it.

Um, you know, that's one thing about string gang. When they say there's something as far as aesthetics, they do a really good job. And I'm pulling it right now. That is true. And what I'm getting is a milky citrus and pine. So yeah, it's on the nose right now. Let's see what happens when we light it. The taste that it had before it was lit is the taste that it has after it's lit, which is pretty cool. Citrus and uh pine with a touch of earth, so far it's accurate in that respect. Slight choker, but not so bad.

Yeah, it's like the opening because the pine is right in the middle of this like sandwich of undertones and overtones. It's interesting how a lot of these uh things here they uh open up a specific um note, in this case, pine and earthy. And they keep evolving as you as you smoke through it.

Yeah, that's um something that I and I'm crossing across different brands too, but one that we have seen that was very prevalent in the past few cycles is pine. Pinine. But a lot of times it's not something that has pinene in it, right? It's usually a combination of like karyophylline mersine kind of thing. Oh, right, right. That's I see what you're saying.

So if it has a pine note or undertone, doesn't necessarily mean that pinene is one of the active terps. Correct. Okay, that's interesting.

So Strain Gang, it's one of those um brands that are celebrity Wii collaboration, right? Styles P of the Locks, love their music. Yeah. Um, and it must be said that the collaboration is with companies that actually have collaborations with quite a few brands that we know.

Um, and that's one off manufacturing in Brooklyn. One off is a proprietor of many brands like Runts, Doobie Labs, you know, they do carts, they do vapes, they do uh pre-rolls. All under a bunch of different brands. And usually where you see when you see one-off manufacturing, because they're the dis, they look like they're the distributors.

And then the the packaging happens at AP coin licensing. So AP coin licensing is the one that makes it pretty, that makes the label, makes the cap, you know. But if you look at all of them, they all come in a glass jar, they all um, they all have a pretty similar state, you know, where the the cap has a logo and you know, very colorful, very pretty label. But the question is this. So if you have a collaboration like this, right? Um, like they have other companies that also collaborate with them that come from other states. So the question is this are is this weed something Styles P himself cultivated and now one-off manufacturing is you know uh distributing his cultivation? Or is this or something that he likes and he decided to mass distribute because it's his favorite strain, whatever it is. Right.

Okay, I see your point. Or is this something more to the effect of just a manufacturer just putting a celebrity's name on something?

I mean, either way, either way, the celebrity, at least in this instance, which is Styles P is vested. And I'm only judging that by the amount of promotion that he's done in the past, especially on social media. If you uh pull up anything by Strain Gang, you will see Styles P all over it, and other rappers as well. He has pulled some other rappers into these little mini commercials like they have on Instagram, these uh like maybe one-minute shorts. And yeah, the product is prominently featured, a few rappers. So Okay.

So, but who's to say that they're not drawing these strains from the same place that the runs in New York is drawing theirs, or Doobie Labs is drawing theirs? Do you understand what I mean? Of course, and that would be smart business, you know, if if that was the case. But then that would be also hoodwinking the consumer, which is where I'm getting at. Right. You know, I want to know that all these brands that I'm trying are really all different.

And then, you know, just plain devil's advocate, from the uh brands that we are familiar with that we have reviewed from both the distributor AP Cohen and One Off, we have done quite a few. And none of those, although they're similar in like uh package design and cap design, they're similar and the labels are similar. Very similar. But none of those other ones have the strains that strain gang carries. It seems like strain gang, it's uh maybe uh identifying or trying to identify themselves with uh heritage brands, if you will, like heritage strains of New York. So you got Sour D, you got their version of gelato, their version of Hayes, their version of headband, right? OG. If this is a marketing ploy, then under Styles Pete, I would argue to say that it's for their heritage brand, because that's all that seems to be presented by Strain Game.

Wow, I blew by the third, first, third. I'm almost approaching a half right now, getting back to the actual strain itself. Sorry, guys. Um, and you know, I feel my spider senses tingling, something a little foggy, nothing very strong. Um, if I'm running down the the effects, do I feel relaxed? Not yet. I don't feel anything major yet. You don't feel anything yet? It says sleepy. I'm not feeling that at all. Tingly? Not yet. I feel a little tingle in my around my eyeballs, but that's about it. Other than that, really pleasant smoke. Citrus and pine, very mild, but there you taste it. Um after the first few chokes, it became a very mild pull.

Definitely an easy pull, sir. For you know, beginners, new guys, this is very good.

I can dare to say this also feels like what I the term I've been using lately, tuned, you know, cultivated for effect and smoothness, especially. Uh the top, one of the top-tiered brands as far as price.

Right. And uh, yes, uh, Strain Gang is definitely in the upper strata of prices for New York marijuana. Um, I don't think they sell anything larger than an eighth or 3.5 grams. Right? I don't think they sell anything larger than that. At this point in the New York market, I don't think so. I think this is and it and I unfortunately we forgot to say this earlier, but it retails for anywhere around $55 to $70. Um, so you're getting you know an eighth for $55 to $70. Okay, so you know that's basically saying 3.5 grams. If you pay $70 for that, you know, you're basically paying $20 a gram. High end. You know, so it's like buying three three dubs in the street.

Um and we're not even talking about the taxes. So when you have that, it has to be good, it has to be strong, you know, like it has to be something that's like, wow, you know, and so hopefully we are getting there. And I do feel like it's ascending. Yeah, you feel that? I feel like an ascension now more of my face is starting to get numb, my nose. Um I feel like a fogginess setting into my brain in the middle of the brain. So it's not even the poles, but somewhere in the middle. Um, and it's yeah, it's a relaxing feeling. Uh it's like it's definitely a relaxed feeling. Um, I'm I'm not gonna say sleepy though, but you know, usually when it says sleepy, it's on the come down. Right. So we might have to like let you know after the hour if sleepy kicked in. Uh tingly. No, just my face numbness, but that's me when I'm high. Anything for you, Skip? No, I'm starting to feel it.

It's coming on pretty pretty strong there. I feel it in the eyes. The pressure there.

That's excellent. So far so good. Okay, it goes. But then that means going back to the pre-lier conversation, that would mean that if are we really smoking strain gang or runs or doobie labs, or are we just smoking all one-off you know what I mean?

Yeah. And I mean, we can also argue all across almost all brands. Now in the uh New York City dispensary availability have multiple brands under one. Their budget, their mid, and their high price. That seems to be the move.

Yeah, but are they cross-broading, cross-boarding their buds? So are you telling me this is ghost OG when it's strain gang, but then you turn around and do runs and do uh uh, you know, OG runs? You know what I mean? Is that what's going on? Uh I hope not. And then Doobie Labs has another their own OG, but it's really all the same strain. Or their own ghost, but it's really all the same strain. Like that would be very disappointing.

How we it's like we don't hopefully they've been you know smart enough to keep brands separate, you know. Uh strain separate, I mean, you know, like if you're gonna do right.

I'm not accusing strain gang themselves of anything, we're just thinking in like the big picture, you know, what is actually possible, what can actually happen out there? Can people do that? Do people do that? Right. We actually don't know. That's something that we're gonna have to like look into, Skip, to try to find out as far as um body effects. Uh no, no, I'm not gonna say that it's um medicinal. I still have the same kinks that I had earlier today. Nothing new. How about you, Skip? How you feeling?

Oh, this is nice. You know, it's uh it's still active, so the high is still ascending, but definitely it's there and it's prevalent. Pretty strong.

Yeah, it's it's uh it's potent. It's definitely potent. Um are you smack level, do you think?

No, no, not at all. No, I can feel the pressure in my eyes. They're building up. So it might look like you know, I'm getting the snoopdog eyes, or at least I feel that way, but the snoop dog eyes. Well, you know, I mean, that's uh not the best way to describe it, but we all know what you mean.

Right. So far seems to be a quality smoke. Yeah, uh, kept this turp profile through and through. Um nice heady high. Uh which is funny because it's indiga dominant.

Um, you know, is there a body? I'm really feeling it. I'm trying to also feel the tingly, and aside from like a little bit on my ear, but I always get that. That's not something exclusive to any um strain.

Man, pretty good high. Uh dense and foggy. Uh you know, that kind that's like you just feel like chilling out, not doing much, having snacks and hanging out. But a pretty fun high so far, I'm not gonna lie. And um yeah, I'm enjoying it. Um it's a good high. It's a good high. Am I smacked? Not quite, but I can say that I'm, you know, somewhere in in the in the neighborhood, but not there, not there. Still a couple of turns.

Yeah, that's where I'm at. Yeah, and I'm rolling into my just finish as well. And yeah, decent, more than decent. It was a very nice smoke, smooth as it, you know, matured, but it lets you know that the high was still there, prevalent, pretty strong, and a direct high, an intentional high. Hey, I gotta say, it was a lot of fun. Uh just hanging out, got into a couple of rabbit holes, uh, you know, about the most inane stuff, but completely lost track of time, which is excellent. Uh, I didn't get smacked. It was, but it was consistent throughout, and now I am in a good place. I'm not exactly at the highest level, but I'm also not that tapered off either. It's you know, it feels pretty good. How about you, Skip?

Yeah, man. This is a nice smoke, feeling very good, very relaxed. The uh high, I want to say, pulled through the whole hour, but within that hour, I had a uh prior engagement and I had to meet some people. So I was trying to hold it together there, and that's when I knew that this was pretty strong. Because in being in front of these people, I was really trying to hold it together and I'm holding on for dear life through the whole conversation, and that's when I said, wow, this is a nice high. And as I'm coming back, the high sustained. It tapered off a bit. I mean, that's not much you can expect for one hour, but I still feel it, folks. Very nice.

Okay, time for the smackometer. Skip, final thoughts. Decent smoke, like I said before, and this is nice. You know, it opened up a little rough, but uh as it went through, it slowed down and it was a nice ride. And considering the amount that it costs, it's at the high end of uh dispensary availability, and this time it hit the mark 8.2.

Wow, skip giving an 8.2, that's huge. Okay, well, let's do the rundown. So open the package. Actually, want to admit to you folks that it was close to the expiration date. Okay, I want to say that because according to this, it was about two months away from exactly two months. Wow, exactly two months away from the expiration date. And I must say, opened it. Not one hint of that.

Okay, I want to give a shout out to Strain Gang for uh putting a seal, a vacuum seal on it. That's an excellent touch, kept it supple, kept it fresh. Uh so other than that, so first shout-out, very nice. Got the herb out, you know, dark greens, mustards, ambers, these nice little brown hairs. It was a nice turf profile from the start. Not very strong, but it was there. Like when you opened it, it was like, wow, citrus and pine. Uh, there were some medium-sized, supple nugs, which were, you know, freshly sealed and very fluffy, which of course made for you having to break a little bit more than usual. But other than that, you know, great stuff. Um, it was like a gold, golden kind of tricome thing. They weren't very shiny, but kind of like powdery uh as far as as the smoke itself. After some initial coughing, it was a very smooth smoke. The turp profiles held through and through all the way. Um, and by the time you were at the last third, you're feeling pretty high there. High itself was nice, uh, lasted a long time. The taper was very smooth and slight, so that after the hour, still feeling pretty good. And like I said earlier, I'm hoping that happens with this uh strain. But um, strain gang has in the past, with other strains, had that their their post you know peak, their their after high uh lasts a really long time. So you don't need to smoke again for a little while. And I'm hoping that happens with this one. All those things, I have to say I'm impressed. I didn't get to the smack level, but I am very impressed. And for that, I'm going to give it an 8.3. Oh, okay. Uh yeah, we were pretty like-minded there, Skip. Um, and yeah, man, this is so far. I I I don't know if I can say it's my favorite strain gang uh strain, but it's a good one. Okay. And like Skip said, I could see myself paying the price for this and enjoying myself. So if you like high-end stuff, this is a good one for you.
