LiveWell, a Colorado company that is part of the Pharmacan Umbrella established in 2009. Pharmacan, however, was founded in 2014, but they acquired Live Well and took their operations nationwide. You can now get LiveWell in Colorado, Maryland, Ohio, Pennsylvania, and of course, New York.

Blue Dream, a 6040 sativa dominant strain crossed between blueberry and haze. Top flavors are berry, blueberry, and sweet. Top effects are creative, euphoric, and happy. Top terps are mersine, pinene, and caryophylline. THC values are as follows: 21% according to Leafly, 17 to 24% according to All Bud, and LiveWell is claiming a hefty 26% THC.

Our haul today came in a half-ounce clear plastic jar. And this haul usually retails somewhere around $100. It came to us today from our friends at RR Dispensary in Brooklyn. It's right on the corner of Harrison Place, right off Flushing Avenue. Make sure to pay them a visit, guys.

And we're back with the roll. So, Skip, how did it go? It broke pretty even, and it was definitely enough. It's half an ounce.

As far as the look, light greens, dark greens, amber with orange hairs, smallish buds, a little crunchiness in them. But you know, it was packed three months ago, so it might just be the strain. Decent turp profile smells a little like old poodet haze, I gotta say.

Definitely can see the tricomes. And I think we're ready to smoke it and see what it's like. We're ready. Let's do it. Let's do it. First impressions. Smells pretty much like we called it. Yeah, it's like a citrusy, hazy, like haze. Right. Same thing with the taste, a citrusy haze before I light it. Alright, let's do the lighting and see what happens. Very mild first pull. Yeah. Almost tasted nothing there. The only reason I knew I got something was because of the exhale. It definitely has a little touch of that poodet haze taste. Yeah. So from not tasting the berry. Oh, wait, wait, wait, wait. That might have been some right there. No, yeah, I'm getting it.

But it's like it's hard to separate it from like, I don't, it's like a dankiness.

Yeah, there is a dankiness to it that makes it like haze. What I'm not getting is sweet. Right. Or blueberry. I'm not getting blueberry either. Yeah. But so far, not too hard smoke. Pretty decent smoke profile. Not too dense, not too light. Yeah, it's like balance. So Live Well is okay. We, I mean, it's openly MSO. It actually advertises itself as an MSO, which is a multi-state operation. It says the states it works on. Yeah. So they this is one of those companies that's not trying to hide it. Um, very interesting about Live Well is that they don't sell flour in any package smaller than half an ounce. In New York. In New York. Ah, good point, Skip. Good point. Because they might do others in other in other places.

But in New York, you can only buy Live Well in half ounce, 14 grams, or ounce. 28 gram packages. Or Colorado, they have live well stores. Yeah. So the dispensary is live well.

And so they, you know, have their products in various sizes that are not available to us. Of course, selling it in a half ounce, it also retails for a high price. Uh, half ounce is usually retail around somewhere in the ballpark of $100.

And the full ounce is where I guess you get the discount. Yeah. And it usually retails somewhere in the ballpark of $150. Yeah. So unless you're coming to buy a large amount, you're not really going to buy this product, right? Let's say you want to just have enough to hang out with your friends. Yeah, you're probably not going to look at live well.

And it's probably, I don't, you know, just want to throw this out there, but it's possibly the only pharmacan label that I can remember that has that distinction. They all offer the half and and the full ounce, but they also all offer the eighth and so on and so forth. Not here. Not live well. Not live well.

At least not in New York, not at all. Uh, the other companies that are also uh in the purview of PharmaCan for full uh disclosure are Matter, which is, I guess, considered higher end than LiveWell.

And uh Cam, Cam, which we just recently found out is not actually part of PharmaCam, but partners with PharmaCam. We thought it was actually just like LiveWell and Matter, another another subsidiary, but turns out that it's not. It's a separately owned company that partners with them to distribute nationwide. But Cam is also connected. So, you know, this is MSO, very large company, makes hundreds of millions of dollars a year, multi-state. Um, and yeah, we also noticing that in New York they charge the highest amount of prices. So if you wanted to get a half ounce in Colorado, for example, how much does it cost, Kip? $70. And the full ounce? Actually, no, it was $70 for the full ounce. Wow. $70 for the ounce. Yeah. And meanwhile, we're paying $100 for the half ounce in New York.

So serious upcharge there, right? Why? Because we're New York. So you're gonna hit us with new prices, premium prices because it's New York? That's not cool, Livewell.

They also have um PC Nursery Line. It's a label that is also theirs.

And question number two. Are they growing this stuff in New York? Right?

Isn't it? And this, well, it says it was packaged here in Hampton, New York. Packaged?

Where are their farms though? Grown in Hampton Briggs. It says it there in the front there, but okay. No, no, no. If it says it, then chances are it's right. So I'm already past my first third. Uh yeah, feeling of something there, a little foggy. Um, I gotta say, this kind of feels like old poudet. Like, you know, uh, uh, but a little milder. Um, that's what I'm feeling so far. Old poudé haze, uh, just a little milder. Uh, which basically means that there's like a kind of stuck feeling in your, you know, in the frontal lobe, a little bit of numbness in the face, you know, old school classic kind of feel. As far as uh effects, let's take a look. First run down. Do we feel creative, Skip? No, euphoric, a little bit, a little openness there. Feel all right, happy? A little happy uh, you know, but isn't euphoric and happy kind of interchangeable? Right. If you're one, you're kind of the other. I don't know. Sometimes I wonder about these effects. Uh, but yeah, as far as myself creative, I don't feel more or less creative than normal, euphoric. I mean, I feel pretty good. I guess that's euphoric. Happy. No, I'm not particularly happy. As far as flavors, still getting that poodé, maybe a hint of berry.

Uh, it's like Skip said, it's more of a citrus than a berry. I'm not really getting sweet. Yeah. And I'm definitely not getting blueberry. So it's burning pretty quickly. I think it's because it's a little crunchy, you know. So now I'm already approaching close to my halfway mark. Livewell is uh very well known nationwide. Um, and polarizing, we've noticed. You know, we like to do research uh about some products, and uh yeah, uh Livewell is very polarizing. There's people out there that either think they're fantastic or really hate their guts. Right. There's no in-between with this company. One thing you can say about LiveWell is that uh it brings out passionate uh reactions from people.

Yeah, and probably because where it's positioned in their brand lineup, you know. And uh most companies don't hide the fact of their budget line, of course. But I it seems to be like the sticking point in a lot of people's mind, at least as far as the reviews. You know, I like to you know read up before we do uh a show about the reviews just to get a feel of what the people are feeling. And I see what is the the tides are turning. Because I went back to two years of reviews, and even then it was it was worse, but it's getting better.

Um hitting the halfway mark, going back to the effects, feeling creative. No, feeling euphoric. We said we were okay with that one, so that one we don't have to keep checking. Happy. I'm so like that. Yeah, but yeah, euphoric. I feel good. Right, there's a good general good feeling, but not particularly happy, you know. It's it's a tough thing for a consumer when you go into a store, you want to buy a large amount. Let's say you want to buy for the next two weeks or something. So you want to get a large amount, and you want to kind of get a deal for getting a large amount. So you're gonna look at something like this. But the problem with something like this is that the only way to test it out is with a pre-roll. Right. And as we all know, real smokers know, you don't you can't really get the full thing out of a pre-roll because pre-rolls are usually rolled or well, from what we understand, are rolled with the shake or you know, what's left of the buds when the buds are put into flour, cut, clipped, and put into bottles. And so that's not usually the best representation of what that marijuana will be. Right. But you know, there's I guess it's a niche for them, right? Because it's like, well, we're here just for bulk. But the problem is, is how does somebody try one of your products to find out that they want to buy your product if the only risk they have is is if it sucks, they're stuck with at the very least $100 worth of marijuana. Right. You know, like wow, that's that's a pretty large amount to get stuck with.

Well, I'm sure everybody has experienced that, you know, in their journey through the dispensary world, where you'll find something that, depending on, you know, your regular usage, where it'll stay behind somewhere in your stash.

Because it was very unsatisfactory. Right, right. Or the other one that uh that I hear from friends and colleagues and other smokers, is the you take in and you'll you just mix a little bit in with like stuff you like, so you're wasting it little by little, but and padding out the other stuff that you like and also conserving more of that, right? You know, just for filler, like filler weed, you know. I want it to look big, I want it to be something that looks good and healthy, but I don't want to use up all my good weed, and you can throw a little bit of that in there, and uh yeah, we've all had that experience too, the filler weed experience. Yeah, so skip. Where do you think you're at cruising altitude?

You know, it's a good question there. It's a high, definitely, and I'm floating more than actually even going fast. But I also notice in my speech patterns a bit like so it has like uh a sedative effect there, but it's not strong, but it's there, it's like it's not going.

That's uh a probably a more prevalent effect for me. It seems like it's kind of a relaxing thing. Trying to see if it has any body, and I'm not really feeling any body, so it's not anestheticizing anything, you know. I I don't feel uh numbness to my little aches and pains. I'm down to my last third, and yeah, nothing's really changed. It's getting a little deeper when I cough, I feel it a little heavier, but it's really the same idea. It's like kind of like a milder version of the old Houdet Hayes high, which was not a bad high back in the day. But that's kind of the general feeling that I'm getting. Going down through the effects one last time. Are we feeling creative, Skip? No. Are we feeling euphoric, Skip? No. Oh wow, you're not even saying euphoric anymore. Wow, Skip is not even saying euphoric. How about happy? Yeah, happy, yeah. Oh, so it left euphoric and went to happy for Skip. As for myself, yeah, no creative. Um, I'm more euphoric, I will say, than happy. Still mild flavor on the J going to the end. It's kind of getting a little bit more of a a little slightly deeper, yeah, uh, but still not something to like that's harsh for the smoke. Livell is um a company that also has a lot of offerings. Well, at least as far as strained. Yeah, yeah. So it'll be interesting to see what they're all about. It does have a bluish hue. Yeah. You notice the dark green parts of the so at least they got that kind of thing right. That's supposed to be a feature of Blue Dream. As far as what you can use this for, just a regular I personally would say something from like Friday evening. Right. You know, you're not going out that night, you're tired from work or school or whatever your endeavor is. And uh you just going home to just relax, you know. No big deal. You're not like going to sleep or anything, but you know, you just want to just chill out. Maybe have a couple of friends over, you know, do something relaxing. Hey, you it doesn't mean you're not going out, but you know, if you do go out, it's gonna be to not really, you know, do something with a lot of noise and a lot of people. I don't think there's the mood for this. But other than that, you know, you'll feel pretty upbeat. And so, you know, when you're upbeat, you're pretty much up for whatever. You'll be open-minded, feeling good. And you know, that's pretty much my impression right now. Am I smacked? Are we smacked, Skip? No, yeah, I'm not smacked, but feel okay. But let's just start off like coming from the so rolling into my just finish and kind of transformed into a little bit more of a conversational thing. Yeah, I still don't feel like going out and dancing or anything like that, but yeah, we got a little chatty here. Um, and yeah, it was a it was a pretty good experience, decent. I didn't, you know, cough too much, it wasn't too harsh. And I'm feeling pretty high right now. Something cerebral, not really a body thing. Like I don't feel any effect positive or negative, you know, in a as far as body and uh cerebral kind of thing. That's that's what I'm feeling. Old school pude haze. What are you thinking, Skip?

Yeah, that's exactly what it feels like. And at times it gets a little heavier, but with the conversation and the magnetism there, it's like evening itself out there. Pretty nice.

How did it go, Skip? The um the high carried through the hour. Of course, uh a bit past 45 minutes, it it tapered precipitously. And but I still have the come down, definitely. I'm still on that. And uh the after effects. So it's still I still feel it like in the head, but it's not much of a high, just the the pressure of it still within the body. One hour later.

It was high highs and uh high lows, and uh yeah, it was pretty good. Uh good hour. Same thing, it was nice. Uh the taper wasn't too um bad, but it was a taper. And uh other than that, it was actually a nice experience. The only thing I didn't like about the tapering down was that it kind of made me a little sleepy at one point when it's when I felt the come down.

And I wasn't too thrilled about that. But the post is great, you know, even the post is pretty good. So yeah, it was a pretty decent hour until the end there where I got a little sleepy. But other than that, alright.

Alright, well, let's do the rundowns. So, uh, you know, when we opened the package, uh it was uh, you know, these smallish buds, you know, a little crunchy. Um, but it had a nice little turf profile. Like we were saying earlier, it had that puddle haze kind of smell. Uh there was trichomes for sure. Uh, and you know, it was very pretty, light green, dark green, amber, orange hairs, really nice looking. Uh the buds were small on the smaller side, and like we said, a little dry, but it I don't think that it had anything to do with being old because from what we saw in the COA, it was just packed three months ago. Uh, as far as the smoking experience, it was pretty good. Uh, you know, tasted alright. We did get a little touch of the sweet citrus, um, but we didn't really get much. I didn't get any blueberry at all. Right. And it was only small hints of berry. For me, again, it was like old pudet haze for some reason. I don't know. It just had that flavor, it had that feel, you know.

And this is the thing now. Don't get me wrong, I like how pudet haze feels, and I don't mind being high on poudé haze, you know, but from my experiences, Blue Dream is kind of a different high. So I don't know if maybe the Haze uh parentage here took a little bit too much of the phenotype, you know, for this one. I don't know. But other than that, it was a nice high, old school feel. It was like poudé haze all over again. Very good. I I liked it. I enjoyed it while I was doing what I was doing. The come down wasn't so great. And uh with that, I'm gonna give it a 7.7.

Like-minded. It was an enjoyable smoke, uh unique experience in its taste and his smell profile. I've actually uh had this particular branding strain before, and it was a different experience this time. It usually has a more blueberry lemonade type of note. This one was more citrusy, and it also reflected that in the smoke. I think is perhaps due to the the dryness. It was a bit crispy. Although it was within time, it was still a bit crispy, and I think that affected the uh the terps and the actual smoking experience, which wasn't bad. It just turned into a bit more citrusy than anything. So that with that, had it been fresher, of course, the uh the smackamita. Will reflect that. So I'm gonna have to give it a 7.4. That's the thing, though. You know, I don't wanna.

I mean, I respect your your rating. But I don't kind of, I mean, if they did everything right and the grower did everything right and the deal and the dispensary did everything right, you know, this could be a whole different ballgame. Oh, absolutely. It could be that the strain just got absolutely or that uh, you know, like it could be a lot of different factors. And I just want to note that because, you know, sometimes someone will say, Oh, yeah, because that sat in the shelf for a year and a half. Right. No, of course, you know.

I mean, we are dealing with a natural product, so that, you know, I definitely keep that on the forefront because this is a natural product that is constantly degrading, you know. So I definitely keep that in mind. But again, I'm basing that on the uh prior experiences, and uh they're almost ranging into the five or six times, and and this is definitely not the worst of those times, but it was different, and I think it was due to that. Maybe not time, maybe too much oxygen, whatever. Still a good experience, though. But the price point, you know, weighs a little heavy on that as well for half an ounce. You know, we're talking about it. I can see that. I can definitely see that a hundred dollars for half an ounce. It's a bit heavy, but it came through.
