As far as the strained buffalo cheese, it looks like it was invented by Left Coast. And it's an Indika dominant hybrid with genetics from original UK cheese hybrid. The turfs are Bisabolo, Humilene, and Philandrine. The effects are happy, relaxed, and calm. Flavors are cheese, earthy, and skunk. As far as THC content, our friends at Leafly say nothing. Our friends at All Buds say nothing. But Left Coast says 33.9% THC.

Well, it broke pretty even, and it was a lot when we opened the package. It just seems like it just seemed like a lot. So there's right now there's enough for one, maybe more. Very generous.

The looks we got here, medium size, very supple and very fresh nugs, pale and dark greens with short orange pistols and a dusting of yellow tricomb so fine that it seemed like if it was tattooed on the bud. The notes are interesting, sweet cheese and something else that kind of tricks the mind. I can't really say what it is, but it gives you the feeling of grapefruit. You know, I also got like a slight note of celery there. Did you get that? Yes, like a salty celery. I got that as well.

That was really interesting. Yes, it is. And as far as this particular strain that we got today, it was packaged three months ago. Fairly fresh. Let's find out how fresh skip. Ready to smoke it? We're ready.

So first impression smelling it, bro. I can't get over that like celery smell. That's so wild. It's like a salty celery.

Um, but it has a that grapefruit thing and a sweet cheese. Yeah. So the cheese is there. Uh, I guess that's what they mean by skunky, but yeah, I'm not getting any earthy from my first impression. How about you, Skip?

Yeah, neither am I. Earthy, I get what they're what that entails, but here all these notes that are coming out are like live notes, you know, nothing funky yet. A sweet, cheesy grapefruit. That's what I get when I pull.

Yeah. All right, let's see what it what it what it's like. Oh my god, I'm gonna be repeating myself. I'm a little too excited here.

Yeah, me too, honestly. You know, something new, Left Coast, you know. Let's see what the hype is about.

Oh, I got all the flavors in that first poll. That was really nice. Yeah, me too. Like a combination of all the flavors, right? But not in a bad way. Yeah. Um, so you know, Left Coast says that this is amongst one of their highest uh THC content strains. Uh, if not the highest THC content strain. So far, very light smoke, pleasant taste, not much of a choking factor right away. Usually I get a first choke. I'm not getting that. True, that it's like smooth the smoke, balanced. Another thing uh that I read about Left Coast is they do not outsource their products, uh, which is called white label. White label is basically when you um you're you know, you your brand, you outsource your brand to another state so that they can cultivate the marijuana there, but you're not necessarily cultivating the marijuana, you're just putting your sticker on the package, right?

And that's a great point you just made because uh that was one of my notes that I made, because uh cross-referencing information on everything that they have, they make a point that they're vertically integrated. And I mentioned that in the description, and what that means is what you just said, right?

That they own all the means to production, end to end. But um, now I'm looking here, and their bottle states acid packaging in Saratoga Springs. So I'm hoping that that is their New York uh subsidiary or whatever, and not that they are outsourcing their bottling, because if that's true, then they're not handling their own distribution, right? And that wouldn't also make them vertically integrate, exactly. So, and also I read that the owners are originally from New York.

Uh it's a woman-owned company, they're veterans, and they're originally from New York, and that's why they decided to come back to New York. In fact, I guess you could call them an MSO, but they're a mini MSO because they're only in New York and California. Two states? Well, if you're only going to be in two states, those are probably the two. Well, the exactly that's all you really need. The biggest markets, right? I mean, Colorado, I would imagine, would be Michigan conversation also.

Those are the primary ones, those have their things together. So it's a little interesting to find that there's only two markets, but it could have been that you know they wanted to send one of their markets back home from where they're from. And hey, that's a good reason as any. You know, New York has to reap the rewards. Oh yeah. So far, a very smooth poll. Yeah. The tastes are there, but very mild.

Yeah, yeah. That was my next point too. The character and the smoke is is light.

It's incredibly light. Um it's but the and you taste the flavors, it's just very light, very mild. It's burning somewhat quickly. Feel anything yet, Skip?

You know, I was asking myself just that, and I don't know, maybe a little slight openness. Yeah, that also that that caryophylline or caryophyll, how some of you like to say it, uh, it's present in this long list of terps, and it's present twice in two different types beta uh caryophylline and also caryoxide.

So the main three were bisabolo, humilene, and philandrine. Yeah, and I have heard of bisabolo, I have heard of humiline. I've never seen bisabolo lead as the lead strain. So that's very interesting. Yeah, and philandrine, I have to admit, that's a new one for me. There's a lot of new uh terps coming out.

Well, yeah, all these terps that are present and been present, but in weed, you know, the main ones, the main four that we always see.

I also found out very interesting research, folks. Also, these this weed is very interesting. Um, that a lot of these terpenes, and maybe you, the audience at large already know, have a lot of properties. You have a lot of medicinal, a lot of uh properties that can help humans aside from getting high. Uh caryoxide is an anti-inflammatory. That's excellent. And pinine, an antidepressant. That's pretty excellent. So it gives you that calmness.

Okay, so I think I'm in my first stir, it's burning pretty quickly. Um and let's look at the effects. Happy. Yeah, I'm happy. I don't know if it was because of the weed. Yeah, I don't know that either. Relaxed. A little bit, a little bit, calm. Yeah, calm. That's an interesting one. I I'm I don't know if it's because of the weed. Or just you're feeling that way today, right? Right, right. And then secondary was euphoric and uplifted, which sometimes could bleed into the same thing. Right. And are you feeling any of that?

I do feel something. The spider senses are tingling. I'm getting a little numbness right at the tops of my cheekbones. So something is going on. But I don't feel high yet. Uh, as far as the flavors, yeah. Cheese, yes, sweet cheese, earthy, not really. Uh skunky, yes. Grapefruit, and I'm not tasting the celery anymore. Right. But grapefruit, yes. Uh, yeah. So far, okay. But not really feeling the high high.

It's more of a like a dance, uh, of flavors. Balance, smoke, and calmness, basically.

Yeah, I agree. Calm, relaxed, and enjoyable smoke. That's about where it's going so far. I did feel like openness happened, but that's as far as it went for me.

Like, you know, how the old school players when it came to like a hooch, they'd be like, there's some tasty hooch. There's some tasty weed. This is kind of interesting how tasty it is.

I can I can agree with that thing. And you know, it's I guess it's the the different experience has to do with the different terps, right? Yeah, usual terps. Yeah, and a long list of terps. Taking the lead here, which you know, I have nothing against it. It's like almost 11 perhaps.

I stopped writing at six because after six terps, I'm like, what am I trying to prove here?

You know, yeah, that's just like wow, let's just stick to top three skin. Some of these strains we could get to like 15 terps. Yeah, easily. I feel relaxed, I feel calm.

Uh, I'm not happy. And you fork and uplift it, also is not happening yet either. And I'm at the halfway point, so it's a good thing that I brought the effects up. Yeah, how about you, Skip? How you feeling?

Uh a positive, I want to say openness, you know, a little positive outcome there.

I like that. Okay, so that could be uh the uplift it coming in. They have nice packaging left coast, it's uh black cap, glass packaging has a little New York on it to this, you know, distinguish that it's a New York uh set. It was fresh seal. They had that fresh seal. Fresh seal, that was nice. They retail anywhere between 40 and 55 dollars. I see them usually in the ballpark of like 43, 45, 48, uh, which is right at the cusp of what we feel you should pay for a 3.5 ounce jar. Right. Uh, because you know, some get more expensive. And we're you're like right on the cusp, Left Coast. So uh, you know, let's try to keep that price there, not one dollar more for the next few years. As you know, that pushes it with tax up to about $60.

And that's a lot to pay for for an eighth of weed.

Yeah. And also, I don't usually see, and we go to a lot of dispensaries because we buy a lot, as you can imagine. And I don't really see Left Coast discounted, almost never. And what does that say? At least me trying to fill in the gaps. What does that say? That there isn't many uh left coasts around that are dry, perhaps. You know, it's not a bad thing. Yeah, I think that's why you never get it at a discount.

One thing I did read about Left Coast is that oh, because of course you can't cross state lines with your marijuana. They have to have someone here grow their marijuana, even though they're based in California, and that they set up the operation. So it's their seeds, their stuff, their growing methods. End to end. Um, I'm not, you know, I'm not mad at that.

Well, yeah, I could imagine that's a difficult economic uh thing to take on as a company, you know, the added expenses of all those things that you mentioned. But in the end, it gives uh better quality control. That is true.

Yeah, and in the end, you you know, as you grow and you if you own all the means to production, like you're gonna end up wealthier in the long run. Well, yeah. Because you're paying less, you know, to actually make this thing.

Right. And that's a that's pretty good business model.

Yeah, that's what got all those guys rich uh those robber barons in the turn of the century, right? A little risk in the 20th century.

Because this is a natural product, so they're taking the whole economic uh page of what it entails to produce this weed, package it, deliver it. Yeah, and the quality is there, you can see it. This bud is is I don't want to say top shelf because that's also subjective, but this is quality.

Well, again, a lot of those attributes you mentioned could be could fall under that umbrella.

I agree. One other hallmark of this particular strain, very smooth smoke. Oh yeah. Oh yeah. Very smooth smoke.

Almost no coughing. Yeah. And I'm a cougher. And a decent smoke, very tasty, like I keep mentioning.

For me, you know, that's big. Right. At my last third, I'm still tasting the cheese. It's not as sweet. I'm still tasting the grapefruit. Still got the skunk going on. Celery's gone, and I never got the earthy.

It's not as sweet cheese and grapefruit and skunk. And it's still there at the last little that's pretty good. As far as flavor-wise, you know, Skip, I know you're a big flavor guy. Yeah, you know, a couple with the high, man, that is some good stuff. I know that that's something that you know you're gonna like. Yeah.

You know, I mean, even to go down that extreme route is so balanced and smooth that you can really smoke on this all night, you know, and you won't fall over. It has that Indika little, you know, relaxation thing. I can see it in your eyes there, bro. But other than that, I don't feel like couch lock or anything. Oh, that's interesting. I like that. You know, I'm not a big Indika guy, but what an Indika does, like, you know, doesn't make you sleepy, and you can just stay mellow, kick back, and relax. Man, yeah, it's beautiful.

Yeah, that's not that's nothing wrong with that. Yeah, nothing wrong with that. I have to agree with that statement, Skip. So do you see yourself uh being social with this?

Yeah, with this particular strain, yeah. I mean, it has that positive thing going, so it's like I'm usually not a big talker, you know. I don't start conversations, you know, I usually end them, but but this here lends itself to that, you know, gives you a bit of that little brevity there.

Yeah, it's that uplift the thing. So and then you're relaxed and calm, so you feel like approachable. Right. I agree with that also. Uh as far as going out, uh yeah, you can go out to dinner with this, you'll feel great. You can go out and meet some friends. I think this would also be good too. Some light stuff. You want to go bowling, play some pool, also sounds good. You want to catch a game? Yeah, I could see this being good for that too. Definitely. Uh going out dancing. That's our that's like strenuous activity. We always equate it with going out dancing. Right. How do you feel about that, Scan?

You know, if the if it was right, the tunes are right. Yeah, it's like you feel open for whatever. The combination of euphoric or uplifted or happy, that little, that little nub with relaxed and calm tends to like that whole combination has you wide open for whatever experience. Yeah. And calmly taking it. Like, yeah, you want to do that? Let's go do that. Right? You you feel that? Yeah, very nice. This is a very good strain for a beginner, which is weird to say if it has such a high THC content. Right. Um, I am feeling high right now. Right. It's not a like a strong high. Not at all. It's a uh, but I do feel like the physical effects of the hide. So I feel like my uh fogginess in the front frontal lobes. And like Skip said, I might be showing some of the effects on my face. I only feel numbness, like I said, in the top, the top of my cheekbones, which is weird, but that's all I'm feeling. Right. As far as anesthetic effect, wow, yeah, it does have a little antiseptic effect. It does, it does. So that's also something that you can uh you can probably count on. I would definitely say this is good for beginners.

Yeah, oh yeah, I would say so also. No coughing, balance, you know, nothing off-putting, none of that offensiveness of leaves you wide open for whatever.

Right. This is great for a beginner or a casual smoker.

Yeah, but I would definitely do a recheck on that 32% THC because no, I don't I'm high, but not 32% high.

It's funny because the high itself also has those characteristics of relaxed and calm. It's like a calm high, it's a relaxed high, right? So it's sharing the characteristics, yeah.

And when I say that, I it doesn't feel like 32. I'm not saying it in a bad way, you know. Yeah, but it does not feel like it doesn't need to be it's punching you in the face. It seems like it doesn't need to be. But all these flavors and the balance of the smoke is it's good the way it is.

All right, I'm rolling into my just finished. That was a quick smoke. Yeah, so good for if you want a quick smoke, but if you want to sit there and you know be all cafe society holding on to your Jay, probably not the best strain for that. Because that went quick. Uh feeling alright, feeling good, feeling calm, feeling relaxed, not feeling too high, feeling somewhat high. That's the best way to put it. I am high, but it's more of a somewhat high than a I'm high. You know what I mean? Yeah, this is not a big high at all. So, yeah, hopefully it uh improves itself a little bit as the hour goes along and ascends itself. But you know, as you know, as all potheads, we all believe that hope springs eternal.

And yeah, I'm rolling into my just finished as well. And yeah, have a nice mellow high, has no uh acceleration or elevation, really, more of an expansive high, a little magnetism in it, you know, easy for conversation, things of that nature. Um, but it looks like this is where it's gonna stay, definitely. You know, it doesn't feel like it's gonna expand, but it's nice. This is a nice low-key high. And let's see how that goes into the hour. See you guys in an hour. Let's do it. One hour later.

And we're back one hour later. How did it go, pro? Well, I mean, the hour went pretty smoothly, went pretty quickly, uh, got into stuff, and yeah, I felt the it was pretty consistent. I felt the calm, felt the relaxed, felt the euphoric or uplifted or half weepy or whatever you want to call it. And I'm kind of still in the same place. Like the post is very a very small difference from where I was before. Now, not that's not to say that the peak was extremely high because it wasn't, but the peak in the post are very close. So the post is almost like the peak, and that's actually pretty cool. Yeah. What did you think, Skiff?

No, I agree that they're pretty equal. They're equally matched. Uh, one hour later, I'm not as high as I was when I finished. I'm in the post, and it uh the post is not very strong. Um, but um, it fulfilled my need. Like right now, I'm not high, but I don't really feel the need to light up again. So I can sit in this. That's pretty cool. One hour later. All right. It sounds like we're ready for the spacometer. We're ready. Let's do it. Let's do it.

Final thoughts, Kid? Well, very interesting uh experience. The smoke was nice, very well balanced. The flavors that uh just kept jumping out were many, of course, you know, cheese being the most prevalent. Um, and a lot of new, uh not new, but flavors that are uh not uh really uh advertised, like the grapefruit. That jumped out and that was constant. That was pretty good. And actually, that seemed to have been like a byproduct of the mixture of the funkiness and the cheese. I mean, great experience. Balanced smoke, not much coughing. I could, like I said before, I could smoke this all night. The only thing is that the high is not big, but because of that, you can smoke it all night. You know, it just keeps going on. Good experience. I like it, and I definitely will be doing this again. I'm gonna give this a seven and a half, seven point five.

All right, okay, let's do the rundown. So, you know, open the package, and uh first of all, it looked very abundant. There was a lot in there, and that was kind of exciting in the beginning. Uh, I had light greens, forest greens, bright orange, bright, bright orange hairs, uh, small to medium-sized buds, if I remember, and they were very supple and new feeling. Uh, the terps were pungent and interesting, right? It was sweet cheese, grapefruit, and celery, which was kind of weird, uh, but not in a bad way. Uh, trichomes were in there, shining bright. Um, and you know, this was something that was packaged three months ago, right? Um, it's it the experience itself, you know, it was pretty close to what they said, you know, the euphoric feeling, the relaxed feeling, the calm feeling. So that was pretty it hewed pretty closely to what they were saying. It's pretty accurate. Uh, it's supposedly high THC content, uh, but I didn't feel smack. Mellow high, right? Not a smacked high. It wasn't an unpleasant high. It was actually very nice. This is this would be excellent for a casual smoker or a uh someone who doesn't like to smoke something that's too heavy. I think it works great. Yeah, um, but if you're someone that's a deep heavy smoker, you're gonna be surprised by it because it says 33 THC, and you're not really gonna feel that. So uh that part, you know, if you're a really hardcore smoker that wants something heavy, this might not be the one for you. Other than that, uh, you know, very good for something social, you're very open for whatever. The the calm, relaxed, happy combination mean means that you're like wide open for for whatever, and that's like a really cool thing. And it lasted a long time. And if that's where the the THC is, that's pretty cool. Okay, and because of that, I'm going to give it a 7.9.
