As far as the strain GMO, it is a 90-10 Indica dominant hybrid of chem dog and girl scout cookies, also known as garlic cookies or GMO cookies. The terps are lemonine, cariophyline, and myersine. Effects are relaxed, sleepy, and euphoric. Flavors are chemical, pepper, and pungent. As far as THC content, Leafly says 28%. All Bud says 20 to 24%. And our friends at Lefco say 28.3% THC.

Well, at first I thought it broke small, but then I realized when there's a giant nug left that it broke pretty even and that there's one large bud left.

How did it look, Skip? Two very large size, knuckle-size nugs, pale and dark greens with short orange pistols, coated in trichomes. Very fruity, almost unexpected notes. Very fruity. That's right.

Let's find out how fresh it. Ready to smoke it? We're ready. Let's do it. Let's do it. First impressions. It smells fruity. It has a touch of pungent, but it's really like a fruity smell, which is none of the flavors or aromas that they spoke about. I mean, there was even other sites saying coffee, but I'm not getting anything like that. Um as far as pulls. Oh wow, that's where I get the chem and the the pep, the chem and the pungent. Wow, that is totally pungent chem. Right there. Pungent chem. Yeah. That pull is all pungent chem. Are you getting that?

Yeah. So it's like it smells sweet and fruity, but it tastes a little danky. Danky and chemically. Yeah.

Because it didn't taste like pungent or chemical. Right, right. I can, if I dare say, I did get a like a little garlicky kind of thing. Yeah, me too. Yeah, so did I. But uh, yeah, this this is a chameleon, folks. Yeah. So, like I said before, GMO is also known as GMO cookies or garlic cookies. Uh, and we were wondering about why is it named that, but uh because it's chem dog and girl scout cookies, but it's got a chem pungent thing. I guess that's supposed to approximate garlic. Maybe.

I don't know, I'm not getting it. What's interesting is that yeah, the chem was there, and for a few pulls you on the corners there, I kind of want sense that little bit of garlic.

It's like a combination of the chem and the pungent is making kind of kind of like a garlicky like and I know what you mean, like on the edges. Yeah. Like you don't taste it straight ahead, right? But like on the sides of the exhale, or like it's like there on the corners. Yeah. Interesting. I was wondering what they meant by garlic cookies. Okay, yeah, I see that.

So yeah, it has like uh I can feel it. The carries a bit in in the back of the throat there, so it gives that that like yeah, bite, yeah, of garlic, kind of. And the taste, too. It's the taste is there, a bit in the aftertaste.

So Left Coast, of course, is a disabled veteran woman-owned company. The women are originally from New York, from what we've read. And uh they're what we would like to call a mini MSO. And what we mean by that is uh they only have uh business in California and in New York. So it's a mini MSO. There's not, you know, it's not all over the place. They say that they handle their own cultivation, extraction, manufacturing, and distribution, right? Which is pretty cool. However, their bottles say acid packaging in Saratoga Springs. So I wonder if that's their New York, you know, base of operations, or is it that they're you know outsourcing their packaging? The pulls are not making me cough.

No, it's smooth, yeah. It's smooth, but with a lot of flavors jumping out.

Yeah, it's like not a pretty taste, right? It's garlicky, it's chammy, it's pungent-y, but it's not like uh uh you know offend offending the sensibilities because it's you're not you know choking on it, you're not like exhaling acridity or anything.

Yeah, it is a mixture of those three that pro-described, but it's like at the top end of those uh notes, it's like the muted part, the essence. You even get the sweet part of the garlic, like at the top of the pole.

So when you pull and you like finish the inhale, yeah, like right there, you get like a little sweetness of garlic, which is you know, sweet garlic. That's a strange sensation. Yeah, yeah, it is. GMO is also uh considered one of Left Coast's uh highest THC content strains. Yeah, it's like one or two on the list, so it's supposed to be very strong. I guess we're gonna find out if that's true or not. So, this is where we would like to hear what your first impressions are. We're starting with some impressiveness, and then that means that if Leafly is the one that's accurate, they're saying it's 28%. So they're agreeing with left coast and saying it's 28%, right? But I'm not feeling anything yet. Yeah, speaking of feeling anything, I think I'm in my first third. Let's go for the rundown. Uh, it's burning a little fast. Yeah, that it is. Uh, so do we feel relaxed, Skip, yet?

You know, I I won, yeah, yeah, yeah. Because before I was looking at it like an openness, but I also feel like a little dragged there, a little nice.

No, no, euphoric? No, no, no. Okay, so so far, Skip is feeling the relaxed, I'm not feeling it yet. Uh, flavors. Yeah, it's a lot of flavors at any given time. You got the chem, the garlic, uh, the pepper, the pungent. It's funny because the combination is what makes the garlic. So, like, if you catch the combination right, yeah, then you taste the garlic. But if for some reason the pull is not catching the combination right, like you'll get more pungent than pepper or chem, then you don't you taste those flavors instead of the garlic. But if you can get them all like to hit at the right time together, it's garlic.

And truly, the experience is just as intense as Pro described it. Really, truly, it is.

Yeah, it's like a battle of uh flavors, yeah. A flavonoid battle. That's actually pretty interesting.

So, although it's not, you know, uh jazzy tasting strawberry kind of thing, um it's it, I will argue that the beginner won't hate it. Right. Might hate the flavor, right? Because you know, beginners they they feel everything tastes bad, all marijuana tastes bad, right? Offensive, so maybe the flavor, but the poles are smooth. I don't think they'll have a problem with like coughing too much. I am starting to kind of feel the relaxed, yeah, and then there's something else there, yeah, but I don't know what it is yet. Yeah, it almost feels like I, you know, without another way to describe it, it feels almost like the ever so slightest touch of like paranoia, like you're kind of like, where is it going?

Are you feeling any physical effects aside from that?

Just the like anytime I look around, it's like a little bit of that dizziness kind of thing going.

I feel like a kind of numbness in my facial area by around my eyes, my forehead. So there's like a numbness there. It does, it does seem to be have an anesthetic effect, or uh because I I feel like for the most part, my kinks is gone. I feel still one of them, but that was a deep kink, you know, like you get in your back at the end of the day. Uh and yeah, they're mostly gone. So this looks like this is good for that.

I like kind of this kind of ride in weed, you know, it's like old school where you used to buy something and not really sure how it is gonna hit you. And then it hit, you know, all these things coming at you, rushing at you, you know, that feeling that in the dispensary, well, you don't really get that feeling with weed anymore. You know, it's not like you know, you talk about it. Wow, that was I tried some stuff, some new stuff last night, and wow, it had me like those stories are not gone. You know, they're they're not they're not present anymore, you know. And this kind of lends itself to that mystery, you know. I can see that.

One thing that I will say, uh hallmark for me specifically, is you know, you hear garlic cookies, right? And you're like, that sounds weird. That doesn't sound like it tastes good. And so I was walking in the door already saying, and then I'm reading the flavors, chemical, pepper, pungent. These are three flavors that are considered on the lower end of the spectrum of flavors people like, right? You know, nobody really likes pungent chemical or pepper. Right, everybody wants strawberry and stuff like that, right? So I'm coming in the door saying, This is probably not gonna taste really good, right? But I have to tell you, when you catch the combination right, and it tastes like it tastes like almost like a roasted garlic. Yeah, it actually doesn't taste bad. Right. I thought it was gonna be like, wow, that tastes like garlic. That sounds awful, right?

No, but it doesn't, it's pleasant, yeah.

It's actually kind of pleasant, it's pleasant, so yeah, man. I think that's pretty cool. Uh, and I that's unexpected to me. Right, because who wants to eat a garlic cookie? Let's be honest.

Yeah, the idea of that, but in practice is pretty nice, right? Right. It's a garlic cookie, yeah.

And it's like roasted garlic, yeah, which is pretty excellent. As far as uh social aspect, I think you would do well socially with this. Yeah, uh, I think you can, you know, talk. You I don't know if you're gonna feel like dancing, right? But it does have uh openness and awareness, yeah, like and a magnetism, like you will be open for conversation, you'll be ready for it, right? It'll flow out freely. So this will be good for something where you're in a social setting. Yeah, uh, you will still feel a little like dizziness or or fogginess. So you don't want to be, you know, on a queer show. Don't go on jeopardy on this, but you can definitely do a social thing.

I don't know. That openness, I don't know if it can be construed as such. There's an openness, but it's not euphoric yet.

Yeah, uh, for me, yeah. I I can I I agree with Skip. There's something there, I don't know if I want to call it an openness myself, right? But there's there's a willingness to engage, but uh that's kind of as far as it goes. Okay, and the flavors is holding steady, yeah. GMO, right? Yeah, it's a very popular strain.

It is, and um, we've tried this strain in other uh companies, and it's totally different. That's why I'm you know, I keep looking at my notes. This is great, no doubt. This is very nice smoke I but in my mind it's not making sense, you know, because GMO, from my experience, tends to have, I don't want to like marry this way, but kind of like a gelato-ish kind of thing going sometimes. And it's it tends to be strong here. It's it's different, you know. It's nice, mellow. Yeah, you got the chem. And it is strong, but in a mellow way, like uh it has no edges. Like a like I say, like a professional GMO. A fancy one.

A fancy one, GMO with your pinky up. Yeah, it's like that. That's how you gotta smoke it with your pinky up. Yes, yeah, it looks like Leafly and Left Coast are pretty in sync with what they're saying and and what they're trying to do. And I'm not saying all butt as far off, they're actually pretty close too. You know, it's really nice when everything like comes together and they're all everything is in agreement. Yeah, because then we know exactly what we're looking for when we smoke it and know, like, are we getting this? Like the check, you know, the checklist is not as extensive. Sometimes we write like a bunch of effects, a bunch of flavors because everybody's disagreeing, yeah, and then we have to decipher when we're smoking it who's right and who's wrong. Absolutely, absolutely.

But it looks like they're in sync today. And from opening the package, I thought already we were going left because you know, a lot of the notes we already had written down. So I'm expecting pepper, pungent. And we opened these two beautiful, huge nugs, and it smells like juice, it smells like juicy fruit, yeah, like papaya juice or something. It smells so that's what I smell. I smell like juicy fruit or something.

I was like, what the a sweet fruity taste, yeah, or smell, excuse me. And then it's like that's you got none of that in the flavor, right? So I already said uh oh, and it's already gone, right?

So that's pretty incredible, yeah.

And again, this one with left coast again, man. I gotta give it to them. Another impressive, like uh dance here, menage of tois of the terps, another, like they're the stars of the show here. The terps are really doing its thing in the flavor and in the feeling, most importantly.

So, I mean, they're saying it's 28 THC, so that in itself is gonna you know hit you. And then if you can get 28 THC with an entourage effect of the flat infanoids and the the terpenes, man, you got a knockout strain.

Yeah, and this is such. Do you think it is? Yeah, this is this is nice, this is beautiful. The only thing is, it's not strong, but again, I wouldn't expect that from Left Coast to be something that'll knock you over. Yeah, they don't usually like knock you out cold. No, they're you know, very mellow, the high is there and very prevalent, no doubt. But you know, you can you can function, it's functional. Yeah, I've I am so relaxed, it's true.

Yeah, uh, I I kind of open, but not euphoric, and I'm not sleepy. But man, you're right. If I was to lay down and close my eyes and say, go to sleep, it wouldn't be hard, right?

So this will be a good snoozer if that's what you want. Yeah, and it's not heavy as an indica would. Because an indica, you know, these are all very strong Ndika attributes, but very smoothed out. Well, it's a 90-10 Indika, right? So it's mostly Indika. Right. And smoothed out, very smoothed out. Indika's usually, you know, you're dealing with like a hammer and a bull at the same time. Here, no, it's not that uh intrusive, if you will. It's inviting, more inviting than intrusive. And they say it has a calming effect.

Well, last third, and so we said relaxed, we said no sleepy, and we somewhere in the road to euphoric, but we don't know if we're gonna actually reach the destination. Yeah, that's a good very good description on the road, on the road to it, but not there. Right. And accurate with the terps, carry, uh, limo, carry, and mercy, very accurate. They did a good job. Oh yeah, and it was a uh good facsimile of the original and still pulling the chem has ascended more at this point for me, and uh pungent and the pepper have receded, so it's not as harsh on the throat, but it's you know, a total chem taste. Yeah, wow, I got a deep garlic taste right there, right at the end. That was nice roasted garlic, pure roasted garlic. Wow, if I wouldn't have been watching what I was doing, knowing I was smoking, I would have thought I just like inhale the roasted garlic. Very impressive. Not much of a talker, you can talk if you want to, it's a better way to put it because you can have a talker, right? But it's really about you, you know, you're doing your thing, you're high, feeling good. I think this is where the euphoric is starting to kick in for me. I'm starting to feel good. Yeah, okay. Yeah, that's fair.

Yeah, and that means I'm rolling into my just finished segment, and pleasant high. Let me get a little cough in. Pleasant high, very pleasant high. Yeah, uh, unexpected taste, which was interesting. Uh married the flavors into something different, very nicely done. I feel relaxed. I am starting to feel euphoric. Am I smacked? No. And that's a clear note, right? But am I high? Yes, and that's a Clear yes. Is it a good high? Yes. And that's a clear yes. So two out of three ain't bad, my friends. And I think, uh, yeah, what do you think, Skip?

Man, I'm cruising, baby. This is nice. Well, it might be better for Blunts, actually. Wow, man. That last pull really, you know, took it under, which is nice. And it has a strong, relaxed vibe. And high, yes, very high. But functional, you know. And it's a it has a bit of that downer thing going, so maybe a little introspective, you know. Yeah, this is nice, baby.

Well, it was a little bit of a roller coaster ride for me, but uh it's definitely in the post phase now. And I know that because of the roller coaster ride I just went through. Uh, but other than that, um, yeah, I'm in the post now, and the post is markedly different from the peak. I'll discuss more of that in the smack meter segment.

How about you, Skip? Yeah, one hour later. Um I think I'm still high. One hour later is just that uh the high hasn't dissipated or disappeared, just mellowed out. It got a bit like wider, a little fatter. And uh yeah, one hour later, and the uh it was still very present, very persistent. High. Uh, I'm still also at times when I do the peripheral view thing, I'm still getting a bit of that dizzy spell, like from the beginning. So yeah, the post is strong here on this one. One hour later.

I like this. This was uh very interesting and very enjoyable ride. The smoke was amazing in the uh flavor, how it just kept uh all these flavors jump out at you at all the time, and but still kept the smoke very tuned and very easy. And uh, I can't say enough about it. You know, I could go on about the garlic and all these different things that come in and out, but you have to experience this for yourself. The name uh is a bit misleading because it it you would think uh chem or uh offensive chem here. No, you know, everything started nice and fruity, but it ended very even keeled. And I would definitely do this again. I'm gonna give it a 7.6. Wow, okay.

Um, all right, let's do the final rundown. So we opened the package, these two large fragrant, supple buds, dark greens, light greens, ambers, orange hairs. And you know, speaking of fragrant, I mean those turps were loud. It actually smelled kind of fruity with a little pungent, powder coated with terps. The buds were and you know, it was very new, it was very pretty. When we broke it up, it broke up and we smoked it, and it was it everything changed. It went from a pungent fruity uh aroma to this chemical pungent kind of thing in the beginning, and then slowly it's the caryophylline started activating, and then it became like this combination of the three that ended up tasting like roasted garlic. And I was in that's impressive. Yeah, okay. So that's the first thing. Uh, the high, and here's where I talk about the roller coaster ride. So at first it was kind of indeterminate for me. I wasn't feeling it as much as Skip was. Skip was like really raving, uh, you know, right before the just finished segment and the one hour later segment. Skip was like kind of raving about it. And uh, you know, I'm like, wow, you know, I'm not really feeling all of that. It's a little, it's not as as as strong for me or something. But then afterwards, like we just finished, we're now in the in the beginning of the hour. I started feeling it in the edges, and what I started feeling was like this sleepiness that you can tap into. It was like around me, and if I wanted to, I could touch it and you know, fall asleep. So that was satisfying the third effect. Because remember, the effects were relaxed, sleepy, and euphoric. And Skip and I said earlier that we got the relaxed, we got the euphoric, but not the sleepy. So this was basically satisfying the third effect, and that was in the beginning of the one hour later uh you know, wait time. But you got to be careful because um then I started to get some kinks in my shoulders and in my neck, so the indica effect was really starting to kick in. But when this started, when I started to approach the second half hour, I was fighting off the sleepiness. Like I was literally fighting to stay awake. And of course, I didn't want that effect. But the question is this you know, and it lasted. Um I I would honestly say it lasted for a solid 15, 20 minutes that I was literally fighting off the sleep because I didn't want to fall asleep, but it was trying to make me fall asleep.
