As far as White Cherry Runts, it's a 50-50 hybrid of white runs and cherry pie. The terps are lemonine, mercine, linal, and cariophyline. The effects are euphoric, giggly, and relaxed. Love that giggly. Flavors, cherry, citrus, and milky. As far as THC content, our friends at Leafly say 19%. Our friends at All Buds say 19 to 25%. And Runts says it's a whopping 34.24%.

How did it look, Skip? Medium to large size, supple and very fresh nugs, a mix of pale greens and dark purple leaves with brown hairs, a generous dusting of mid-gold tri-combs, runt type notes on the sweeter end with an added diesel dankness. Kind of a warning of a good time. I'm all for that. Let's smoke it and find out. Let's do it.

Interesting smell. It's kind of milky, but it has a citrusy cherry kind of thing too. First pull before the light. Citrus earthy kind of thing. Milky, citrus, earthy thing. Wow. I kind of got the little bit of the cherry too in that in the back end. So flavors are accurate up to this point. Let's see what happens when we light it. I mean, for a company that's called Runce, I guess it is going to have a strong Runce uh profile, which it does.

Yeah, it does. But a little sweeter. This one's a little sweeter. Right. It's like a sweet Runce. And I'm getting like diesel kind of a little diesel. That's what you're tasting? Like a dank. It could be between the dankness or a dieselness, kind of.

Well, funny. I'm not getting that. I'm getting more like a milky runs with a touch of like sour citrus.

Because I get the milky as well and the runts, but you see how it may be because of the uh the coverage here blunt. It's like masking the taste or maybe.

Looking for the cherry. I'm kind of feeling a little bit on the exhale. Yeah, a little bit. But yes, the main terp is Runts, which you know, of course, it's not surprising with a company named Runts, right? Right. As we like to mention when we uh talk about Runts, uh Runts is a boutique brand that originally comes from cultivators in California. So Runts had a presence in California in the weed circles for years now, uh, and has uh you know celebrities attached to it and stuff like that. Um came to New York, uh, and we learned that in New York they are working with a distributor called One Off Distributors. And One Off is like this shadow distributor that works with a lot of different companies, works with Doobie Labs, works with Strain Gang, um, and amongst others. And it seems like this is the company that you know they they these cultivators or whatever come to this company so that they can distribute in New York because these cultivators are from other states. Um as far as packaging, one off usually works with AP Cohen packaging. So when you get something from Runts or Strain Gang or Doobie Labs, it's really packaged from um this one-off distributor. And so the question is, is this really Runce marijuana or is this really one-off distributor's marijuana that's just labeled Runce? We don't know. Uh once we find out, we will let you know. Um, but that's something that should be told to any consumer who's going to buy Runce or Strain Gang or Doobie Labs or one of the other myriad brands that they uh that one-off distributes.

And though they chose to name this particular brand Runts, obviously because it's Runce base, it seems that although they have cross brands, and we've tried a few and reviewed a few Runts already, seem to be on the nice end, you know. So uh whatever they're doing.

But the question is, is this something the cultivator came up with or the distributor came up with, and then just you know said, Hey cultivator, these are the things I have. Which one do you want to label?

That's a very important question and distinction. So as far as the weed goes, I am already approaching my first, third. I am kind of feeling something. Um spider sensors are definitely to uh tingling. As far as the smoke, it's a smooth smoke. Yeah. Uh unless you pull too much, then you get into choke. But you know, that's runs for you. Um starting to feel a little fogginess in the front lobe. Um as far as physical effects, I'm feeling kind of a numbness. So it looks like this particular runs could be medicinal. This particular runs strain.

How are you feeling, Skip? Yeah, the uh I feel it. Pressure is starting at the eyes there, definitely. And the brain is following. I feel it. Feel the openness. And there's even though there's a you know large uh disparity between the THC contents listed by everyone else and Runs, Runs is claiming a hefty 34%. Which, you know, and the other ones are claiming not even 20%, but something is going on here because um even early on, that high is coming on pretty constant.

Let's look at the effects first time. Uh euphoric. I feel alright. I feel alright, like I just said. I'm feeling kind of alright. So let's say let's just argue that that's the beginnings of euphoric. Giggly. Do you feel giggly? Not yet. No, and I really, really want to feel giggly. That's my favorite effect. And it's like I feel like I'm always chasing it. I'm never getting it. Relaxed. A little bit. Yeah, I can say that. I can say that it's I am feeling relaxed. Um, as far as physical, you know, feeling numbness in my face, my cheeks. Eyeballs always, you know. Uh feeling my little kinks go away. I'm about halfway in. It's been a smooth, pleasant smoke so far. Choked once or twice when I took the pulls, but not anything out of the ordinary. Uh, the taste has stayed consistent. A milky, citrusy kind of runs. I'm not really getting the cherry. How about you?

Yeah, I was gonna say that's still on the milk carton, man, because it's missing. I don't get cherry. But at this point, I don't know if it needs it.

If I'm looking for it, there's something there on the exhale. Like if you exhale from your mouth as opposed to your nose, because you know, potheads do both, and you kind of get a little bit of a fruity kind of thing. Yeah. But you know, that's very particular. It's burning really quickly for me. And it's not that it was dry or anything, it's just a really fluffy weed. Yeah, very fluffy. So it is what it is, but yeah, it's burning pretty quickly for me. I'm already approaching my last third. Not a chatty one, I would say.

No, it isn't. And also, it uh it's like a bit of a mental balancing act. Because if uh dude, try to take shallow pulls, because if the pull is deep, I can feel you know your sensors being pulled under, like it's a danger zone. You get high very fast.

You know, if I take that I take that deep one, be like, okay, I think we're done with the podcast. I'll continue tomorrow. Um okay, so how what do you see this for, Skip, so far?

I mean it's it's it's pretty strong. I mean, and it and it's uh how do I say it's a smooth smoke, so you don't really feel the the smackness, but man, it's there, it's pretty strong.

He's right about that. Like it's just smoking it like just the smoke. You're not um you're not feeling the burn when you're taking the pulls like that. And that's why I say that you can take a too strong pull and then end up because you're like looking for the burn and then you end up taking too much. That's where the choking comes in. But uh yeah, yeah. But when you exhale, oof. And it's that's where I get a kind of cherry-ish in the exhale, but only through your mouth, not uh the nasal exhale. With a brand like Runt, they kind of have an unfair disadvantage, but they kind of put themselves in that position, and that's because they're very high-end as far as price, you know. Um this retail is anywhere from $50 to $70, usually. Yeah. Uh the other day, Skip and I were looking at uh prices and we saw one that was $78. So $80.

$80 for a 3.5 gram jar. And I don't, you know, I'm not gonna speculate how much marijuana costs in other places, but in New York City, or you know, New York, uh, for the most part, since we actually been in a lot of places in New York, uh that is very expensive. Oh yeah. For you know, an eighth or 3.5 grams.

I mean the jar is nice and all, and you know, it's a nice purple jar and cap.

Oh, it's beautifully packaged, and it comes with a vacuum seal and you know, very pretty. Yeah, but still. But yes, that's an insane price, you know. So that's why I say it's a little unfairly judged because already in our minds we're predisposed with the idea that if you're going to cost that much, you know, you're gonna have to be like superior to other brands that don't cost as much for the same amount. And you know, and that might be a little bit unfair, of course, but you know, you kind of open yourself to that when you charge such a high price, you know.

And not all dispensary high-end, you know, are effective as far as high.

You know, yeah, that we have tried some high-end duds. Oh, yeah. It happens. So I don't know. I think my what I've gleaned so far from this experience is that the price really doesn't have anything to do with it. Right. Yeah, it seems that way. I mean, really, logically. Number one. Number two, um, that everyone is different. And you might say, okay, well, then why are you guys making the podcast? Isn't it a moot point? I'm not the same as you. Well, we're still giving you a starting off point, right? You know, and then that's where you take it from there yourself. And then you can say, hey, that's not true. You're a liar about that one. Oh, this is true about that one. Right. But you at least know where to go if you want to find something. So it feels like this is making me feel a little introspective. Yeah. It's getting there, it's deep. Um, but running down the effects again, euphoric. I mean, I feel I'm in a I have a positive attitude. Right. I don't know if that's necessarily euphoric. But I'm in a good mood. Man, I really want Giggly. Where the hell is Giggly? Giggly. Oh, Giggly. I want Giggly. Maybe we're we're doing the wrong thing, Skip. Maybe we need to be like watching a movie or something with comedy, and then it'll like come out.

I don't know. Uh, yeah, definitely relaxed. I feel really good. Uh, my little kinks from the day are gone. So this is a good one for like medicinal aches and pains. Yeah, I don't I wouldn't say necessarily that this is social. That's true.

It's more quiet, yeah. Uh, you know, quiet company. So if you are hanging out with somebody, you might want to just be uh doing something quiet, you know. Man, we all sound really technical tonight. Breaking it down. Like very technical today. Because it sounds like this 54%, 34%. I don't know. That's another uh you know, subject we could touch upon is how the brands always seem to like really jump out the window with like the THC content. Yeah. And then when you dig deeper, you find out that it's not really that much. A lot of it is THCA and you know, or total CBD, total THC, all kinds. Right. It's like all the THCs put together, and really the one that you care about is only like 19% or something like that.

And they seem to have covered that here because right on top of their label is total cannabinoids at 39, almost 40%. So of that, they right below is listed.

So they're they're actually saying that this is 34% THC. Yes, that's what they say.

Do you feel like it's 34% THC? Yeah, and again, that's subjective, you know, and being ex having a little bit of experience and a high tolerance. The way the high came, yes, I can tell that it's high THC. Uh as far as 34, I don't know.

Every herb I've ever tried that's like 34, 35 percent, and it's really holding that level of THC. Like you feel it with by halfway in, like you feel like the danger of getting a headache from it because it's like too much, you know. I remember this 40%, and that was just like wow, just getting through it was felt like it was like survival and stuff. But of course, you know, as a pothead, you try. But you know, it was like wow, this thing could really like give me a migraine at one point if I you know pull too hard. And you know, so that's also part of everyone being different, right? Everyone has a sweet spot that they like. I know people that don't even want 25%, right? They're like, that's too much. I don't want to go through all that. Yeah, and so I kind of feel like it's the same thing with all these uh THC uh content ratings. That's why we give you three. We give you the brand, we give you, and then we give you two independent uh opinions on what it should be. And the idea is that you know, hopefully somewhere in the middle you'll find the truth.

Yeah, and really this one, the way it's hitting it, doesn't have to have the 34%. I mean, just the list of terps is is a long list, you know. I mean, it starts off basically with the top three, but this list keeps on going.

Yeah. Has at least seven different terps, and I mean in significant amounts. Very true. We gave you the top four. Are you feeling? Are you feeling but let's just start off like coming from the city?

Okay, we're gonna go to my just finish. Um feeling good. Uh having uh pretty good high. Uh you know, a little foggy, but otherwise really nice. Uh, when I break down the effects, euphoric yeah, I feel good. Uh relaxed, yeah, definitely relaxed. Giggly, no, sadly, no, no giggly, which I really need. Um, but other than that, enjoyable experience, pretty nice smoke, yeah very tasty, very nice. Um, and look, I finished it without a choke. Um yeah, I liked it. Let's see how long it lasts. I like it. Am I smacked? No, no, no, I'm not smacked, but um, but I'm pretty high, pretty high. Even a little tingly in the back of the neck. Let's see how it goes.

Yeah, a linear high going into the just finish. And uh not an expansive one, but uh nice. And um it seems like functional, you know, it doesn't really get in the way. That's good sometimes, but not, you know, like invisible, right? Right, right. And it's interesting that it's uh it's nice and strong. Let's see if that continues going into the one hour, an eternity later. An eternity later. And we're back with Giglin Highland. One hour later. How does it go, pro?

Well, um, could say that it was uh pretty smooth. Uh it's already transitioned into the post uh you know, post-peak, what I like to call post-peak time. Um it was a good high. Uh I've I really got lost into what I was doing, so it's very functional. Uh this is a good high for something like when you wanna you, you know, you have something to do and you just want to get it done. Really good for that. Uh, and yeah, I enjoyed it. Uh, but did I get smacked? No. Um, and you know, it it's it wasn't like a crazy high. It was but it was consistent. And yeah, that's what I could say about it. What do you think, Skip?

Yeah, it came on strong in the beginning, and um, and it was a uh consistent high. And as the hour wore on, of course, in the course of doing things, I said that twice. Um, yeah, it the high, of course, kind of tapered, but the remnants was strong, and the after effects are still there one hour later.

Putting everything together, the experience, of course, the smooth smoke, tuned a little bit because it was very decent, very nice smoke throughout, and a consistent high. And of course, coupling that with the fact that this is on the high end of the spectrum as far as price, I would give it an eight. Okay.

Well, let's let me give it my final rundown. Okay, so as you know, I do the whole rundown. So, package open, really nice package, came with seal, always like that. Uh, when it opened we opened it, medium size, very, very supple buds. Uh, it was darks and lights, greens and oranges and brown hairs in there, and purple leaves, which is pretty cool. Yeah. Had a like amber purple coating throughout, which was nice. The tricons shine through that coating, which is pretty cool. Very strong turf profile. Uh definitely runs milky and a kind of like a cherry kind of thing going on. When we smoked it, we didn't get the cherry only in the exhale when you exhaled from your mouth, not from your nose. Right. Then you got a little bit of the cherry, but mostly it was citrus and runs. It was a good smoke. Very smooth, unless you took too many. You know, sometimes when something is too smooth, you pull too deeply, and then of course you were coughing. But other than that, smooth smoke. Burned quickly. Um, that I do remember. Um, but otherwise a good smoke. When it was uh, like Skip said, it came on strong. It came actually started very quickly, the effects, but it didn't get past a certain point for me. Uh it somehow stayed at a certain point and didn't get past that point as the hour went by. Uh, you know, it was consistent. It stayed at the same level towards, you know, pretty much towards the end of the hour. Uh, and it was a smooth transition from peak to post. But to be honest, the reason it was a smooth transition from peak to post was because the peak wasn't that high. Uh, and also another thing that I would I can say is that I feel like the post is not as long-lasting as some of the other runs strains that I've tried. So with that, it's gonna be strange because usually skip and are kind of really close in ranking, but in this one, we're gonna be a little bit disparate. I think I'm only gonna give it a 7.5. Okay, that's fair. I'm not uh super super impressed. It had a lot of the hallmarks that make uh the brand very good, but it was missing out on some of the things that some of their other strains I enjoyed. So yeah, better luck next time with this one for me. And you know, I might not I might go as far to say that even that might be too high. If I factor in the price point, right, that might even drop it a few more points down. But, you know, we'll keep it at that.
