As far as orange juice the strain itself, it's a 70-30 Indika dominant hybrid of California Orange and OG Kush. The terps are Lemonine, Cariophyline, and Mersine. Effects, uplifted, relaxed, euphoric. Flavors, orange, citrus, and diesel. As far as THC content, our friends at Leafly say 19%. Our friends at All Bud say 15%. And our friends at Cam say 26.95%.

Medium to big size nugs, a bit dry, dark greens with orange pistols, with orange tricomes, and a strong orange peel note. Yeah, it smells just like oranges. Definitely.

So wild how close to orange peels it smells like. Wow. It's amazing. First pull. Tastes like orange. Orange. So, okay, so at least we got the taste, the flavor, and the turp correctly. Now let's see what happens when we smoke it. Yeah. Very interesting.

It tastes like oranges. It's like orange and like like chem or diesel. Yep. Definitely has the diesel too. Yeah. Wow, that is an interesting taste. Oh, wow. That's pretty cool. Like, how do they do that? I'm telling you, they have to like, this is in my headspace what I think happens. You know, you get a strain, you make it just about the terps and the taste and the smell. You don't worry about THC content, right? You just make that's all you're concentrating on. So now you have this strain that smells like oranges, tastes like oranges. Maybe it doesn't get you high. Right. Then you turn around and you attach it to a known banger as far as strain, right? Something that you know punches people in the face.

In the case of uh orange juice here, it looks like California orange is the flavors and the smells and all that. And then what's the face puncher? OG Kush. OG Kush. Which is a well-known face puncher. Oh, yeah. So I don't know. That's my in my headcanon. That's what's going on. And that's how they're that makes sense.

That makes sense. That makes perfect sense. Because a lot of the varietals that are strong in the turp profile there doesn't necessarily always hit as hard, you know.

Right. We've had that experience where we've smoked something and it tastes great. The whole smoking experience was beautiful, but then you know, where's the high?

Cam or California Artista Artisanal Uh Medicine was founded in 2009 in Colorado. So I don't know why they call themselves California Artisanal Medicine. Um, and in 2023, uh they joined up with um PharmaCam. Uh they made like a little partnership or something, and that enabled them to go multi-state. Okay. And that's how they ended up in New York. Uh, one thing that I give credit to Cam, even though it's it is an MSO. Right. Like it's it's an MSO. But one thing I will give credit to Cam about with being an MSO is that they're one of the few companies that's wide open about it. Right. They're like, we're an MSO. You know, we started here and we moved to New York, and you know, like they they already say those things. Right. So in that respect, you know, I'm kind of approaching my first third. And uh yeah, kind of feeling a little something, something. Uh let's look at the effects. Skip, are we feeling uplifted? A little bit, a little bit, yeah. Relaxed? That I feel more. Yeah, like I'm feeling a general feeling of relaxation, euphoric. Not really. I don't think that one. Um, still tastes like orange. Yeah, it does have that little twang of chem or diesel. Yeah. Um, and I'm not getting the citrus though. I think I I don't know if they're saying it because you know, but I'm not getting the citrus.

Yeah, in the smoke, yeah, it's mostly orange and diesel.

So Cam is a company, getting back to what we were saying, that is very open about being an MSO. Another thing that I can give credit to Cam about is that it looks like their eighth or 3.5 ounce uh 3.5 gram uh jars cost less. It's considered high-end, Cam. Right, but they cost less than other high-end brands in New York City, which retail usually anywhere between $55 and $60. Right. So, yeah, you know, that's a good move. Also, Cam, I gotta say, um, if you are gonna be an MSO, you know, don't at least try to, you know, act like the the smaller guys, too. And I appreciate that.

And it seems like what Cam has done, because um, I've been in and around the dispensary game for a few years there. And I've always noticed that from the beginning, Cam has the same price as it does now. And then it was considered high-end, you know, anything in the $40 to $50 price. But what has happened is or seemingly happened is Cam has continued with that same price while all these other brands are accelerating their price are going to 60 or better. Which is ironic.

Don't if you can avoid paying $60 for an eighth. For an eighth. Yeah, that's uh I don't know. We honestly believe that those are the MSOs trying to drive New York market into sixty dollar eighths. So they're flooding the market supposedly with different brands and saying, you know, so that you can think that the majority of the market is this, but it's really just one or two companies throwing pumping this out under different names to create an artificial market where you think that there's a level or a niche where you pay $60 for herb. The other reason we say don't do that is because we've already tried and reviewed over 60 strains in the past four or five months. Okay. And on it, brutally honest, Skip could could definitely agree with me here. You can, you know, Skip, if you disagree, you can let them know right now. Right. But we have found that overall, $60 marijuana is not that is like not really better or worse than $30 marijuana. Absolutely. Like it's not, it might look prettier, but it's not gonna get you higher.

And you know what is the point of all this? Are you high? Right? So if I can get just as high, even though the herb doesn't look as pretty, but I can get just as high with a $30 jar, I'm better, I'm better served than paying for a $60 jar for something that looks pretty.

Especially since, as you know, you can see with uh the the strain we're messing with right now, that paying $60 or for or a high-end quote unquote jar doesn't guarantee you freshness either. Absolutely. So, you know, but again, this started as a compliment to Cam because Cam is not jacking it up to $60, you know, uh eighths. And you know, we give you props for that, Cam.

I'm now at my half. I am starting to feel it on my face. Yeah, my eyes too. I feel it. Physical, yeah. It's starting to feel, and it's definitely it's not something that's overpowering. Like I don't feel like I'm gonna get smacked or anything like that, but I feel very comfortable. Um, you know, definitely the uplifted, definitely the relaxed. Not euphoric. No, but I always feel like euphoric and uplifted could be interchangeable, right? So I don't know why they put that as separate uh effects. How about you skip any of that?

Yeah, just high. Yeah, the highest coming on. Uh mostly heady, I feel it. Especially around the eye area and the pressure around the brain.

Yeah. Yeah, it's like my face is a little numb from the from the you know, above my lip to like the top of my forehead. I feel numbness.

And it feels it has that indica like push, like that pressure. 70-30, yeah, definitely.

That OG cushion is kicking. And even though it was a little dry, it's slow is burning slow. Yeah. And I've, you know, that's the sad thing when you get something that's a little dry because it always has that caveat. Well, if it wasn't dry, exactly.

You can't really judge it and it's on its total merit, you know. A lot of the terps are you know are gone because of the dryness, although it still smells very strong like orange. I'm sure this thing would be, you know, different.

Which means Skip and I are quietly and unconsciously agreeing that we're gonna have to try this again. Absolutely.

Definitely a fresher batch, definitely. You might have to add an edonum to this. And so far, I got, you know, I don't think I've crossed the cam despite its its freshness or dryness. That was disappointing. They all have strong notes, very strong terps, and good high.

Yeah, I can I well, I haven't tried many, admittedly. But the few that I have tried, yeah, I can say that. Yeah, they're memorable because they smell great. Yeah, usually have a fantastic turp profile. Yeah. Um, and usually have a good uh like a pleasant high experience, you know. I'm not gonna say it's it's the what's gotten me the highest out there. That's not that's not the truth. That's not it with this, but but it's like really pleasant. Like you're gonna feel nice about the high, you're gonna feel good. Yeah, that's and it's pretty much par for the course right now. I'm feeling good. Um, you know, I'm not stupefied, but I'm feeling good. I'm feeling a nice high.

And it tastes nice, smells nice. So, yeah, you know, from the brands considered more high-end, I will say that this is one of the brands that I've actually liked more. Of the high quote unquote high end. High unquote high end, right? Yeah. I kind of liked one of the ones I've liked more. Yeah, I agree. Um, as we've said, it's attached to Pharmacan. Uh, from what we've researched, it didn't start uh with PharmaCan. It's its own brand. It's not it's not under Pharmacan, it's kind of a partnership.

We could be wrong, but that's kind of what we gathered. Um it's female-owned, you know, so if that's something important to you, right, you know, that's that's an impressive thing, you know. Hey, we love females that own businesses and can grow great weed. Yeah, it's always wonderful. Always wonderful. Um, so that's also cool. Uh as you know, PharmaCan is also what's actually technically under PharmaCan's umbrella is uh Live Well and Matter. Uh those are they actually have stores, live well stores in Colorado. Oh yeah. But uh not in New York, not yet, at least. Um, but they do distribute Cam. They're the distributors for Cam. So I wonder how I mean they pro they definitely have experience crossing state lines, so they're gonna know how to how to put together the New York market.

But you know I digress. And even at you know, I was just thinking that even at $48, you know, for some that might be the reason why they wouldn't be inclined to try this. You know, even at $48, that can be construed as high to many, many people, you know. For an eighth, really? So I'm sure. Because you you see Cam everywhere, they're ubiquitous. You any dispensary you go and they have a nice display, you know. So I'm sure, but I mean, this is good stuff. And now we're saying that at 48 it it's okay. You see how you know it's it's ironic how it's really high.

I'm not still I'm not gonna say I'm okay with it being 48 or 45 or whatever. I'm not okay with it.

But I am more okay with it than I am for a $60.

Okay. Number two, that only one or two companies are flooding the market, pretending they're different companies and saying they're all $60. It's like trying to create an artificial uh price range that people can see and say, oh no, look, it's this many that are that cost. So creating a tier, even though it's really only one or two companies doing it. So they're artificially trying to drive the market to that price. If you can, my friends, do not buy six, you know, uh uh an eighth that's sixty dollars. You know, try to avoid that. Unless it's just the only one that you like, I understand. You know, this you gotta do what you gotta do. But if you have an alternative that costs less, take it. And the reason why I'm saying Cam is a little different, it's because number one, they walked in the door saying $45.

So they're they're not being ambiguous or weird. Number two, like I said, they're very transparent. Like some of these companies, when we're trying to bring them to you to like um to review them, we can't find anything about the company. Yeah, like it's like they're hiding. They don't want you to know anything about them. And what is the deal with that? You are selling me a perishable product that I consume. Why wouldn't you want me to know something about you?

That's a little suspicious, and they're very wide open. Like you can go and they have a whole website and you can learn a thousand things about them. It was pretty excellent.

Yeah, pretty cool. You know, their COAs are always current, right?

They're updated, which some some companies will put a COA that is not current, or a COA that is a new COA while still selling a previous COA's product. So that's not cool. And you know, so I can appreciate that too. The other thing is they were at 45, right? But they never when they all these other brands jumped to 60, they didn't. They didn't, they stayed at 45. Yeah, for the most part 450. So that's also something to be appreciated. You know, we should not, you know, we looking at when we look at how much you know marijuana is paid for in California, when we look for how much people pay for, you know, marijuana in Colorado, it's unconscionable that someone is trying to sell us an eighth for sixty dollars. And don't give me that Colorado is is you know lower standard of living crap because California is not right. California has pretty much the same standard of living as New York. And we're looking at the prices, yeah, they're not the same.

So it's like an artificial inflation of the New York market. They're trying to walk in here and inflate the market from Jump Street. Right. And if it's something like, oh, well, you know, we got to transport across state lines, well, you're not supposed to be doing that anyway either. We're supposed to be legacy growers, you know, people that live in New York are supposed to be growing our weed.

So and that is a general business consensus when it comes to New York with almost any product, you know. They uh and it's known, yeah, New Yorkers will pay more. But come on, man.

Almost double. Yeah, that's because we that's what we're seeing when we look in at the dispensaries in California for the same product, right? It's almost double here, almost double. 40%.

Not only that, more product, more variety. Yeah, a lot more. And you know what? Don't talk about climate stuff because a lot of half of this stuff is not even grown outside. And we're on a rant today. I was about to say, how's the high there? Yeah, and it's funny because the high is great. We're saying this while praising the actual stuff. I'm out to my last third. I guess this is a pretty slow burner because it's giving us like an opportunity to just yap it away. So I'm in my last third. And um, let's go through the effects once more. Uplifted.

Yeah, that one kind of works for me. Relaxed. Yeah, yeah, yeah. Euphoric. No. Euphoric is like sounds like something CBD feel, you know. I don't know.

It's a nice feel, you know. Nice 70, 30. Very, you know, very well tuned and balanced, even though it was dry. So that's the impressive part, you know. That the the minus of it all is the dryness, you know. But despite that, this is good.

But I I don't see how the karaokhaline would be because you know that's pepper. Definitely a relaxed feeling. Yeah, I feel really mellow. It's a really mellow kind of thing. I really feel chill. Yeah. And you know, when you feel chill or mellow like that, you could be up for whatever, right? It's this you're in that kind of suggestive, suggestive mood. Yeah. So it's like uh, you know, hey, you want to go do this? Sure, man, let's go do it. You know, you're in that kind of mood right now. It's pretty nice.

Pretty nice. It's a good balance because uh you feel the Indika and the strong part of it, but it doesn't give you the sleepy or the uh droopy eyes. You know, it's something there, that balance.

All right, we are impressed with orange juice. I think we're gonna have to dive deeper into Cam. Skip has more experience with Cam than I do. So um, but I think we're gonna, you know, definitely have to get into a deep dive.

Usually very consistent brand, you know. All of their varietals that I've tried thus are the same. Kind of uh interesting and amazing at the same time, you know. The smells wow. How did they do it?

Yeah, it's true. Even now it's like still holding steady. You know, uh and it's not as sweet as the orange. Now I kinda turned it a little into the citrus. Yeah. But um Still, it's like flavorful, very flavorful, and I'm like less than a third. So really good. Feeling good, man. Feeling good, feeling mellow. Maybe that's the euphoric kicking in, right? Because now I'm like, I'm feeling good. Yeah, that's true. The euphoric is kicking in. It's like a little openness there. It's like I feel good, man.

That's the feeling. So yep, the euphoric just kicked in right towards the end of the J. Yeah. So wow, this is very accurate. I, you know, they broke it down as far as the terps, the feels, the flavors. Yeah. Leafly and all bud, congratulations. You guys nailed this one. Yeah. Because we you use both of you. We when we uh have our information, we use uh other informational sources too, but you guys are a big part of it. And you guys nailed it today. Sometimes, you know, you have one or two things a little off. Right. But aside from the THC content, unless it, you know, I'm not even gonna say they have we're off on that because it could just be uh an entourage effect, right? Yeah that we're uh feeling really good. Yeah, so you can have a low THC count if you have your entourage effect tight. If it syncs well with the terps and the flavonoids and all of that, it'll get you just as high as a 30% THC. Yeah, absolutely. And man, this last third is fighting to stay alive. I'm like pulling and pulling, it's not ending. I'm not complaining. I'm not complaining.

And that brings me to my just finished. And yeah, enjoyable experience. Tasted great. Uh, you know, mellow pulls, don't let my coughing fool you. I was actually trying to take like really strong pulls at the end, and that's why I was feeling the karaophylling. Um, really nice, yeah, really nice. You know, I'm not smacked, not smacked, but really nice. It's a nice high. I'm feeling it in my face, feeling it in my head, but not like like you know, it's like Skip said, there's still the NDCA pressure, but it's not like really hard. It's like just present. Like you like, it's there, but it's not you know intrusive, really nice. Um, and it does have like sativa characteristics. I also gotta agree with that too. Because I'm not feeling much of a body thing going on, except for numbness. Right. I can say I feel numb. All right, I think I think we could uh see how this goes in an hour. Let's do it. Yeah, one hour later, and I still feel it. Not as strong as before, but yeah, that indeed compressure, yeah, it did a number there, especially around the eye section. I feel it there. And um, and it was a mellow ride all the way through, one hour later. Gotta concur with the Skip.

Um, nice feel. We were having a great conversation here, just feeling really good. Um, it's not overpowering or something that's gonna like smack you up, but it's something that kind of, you know, you ride with and it's a good feeling. Uh the euphoria did hit, and yeah, it was a nice run. Um, do I feel like it's uh in the pulse stage right now? Yeah, a little bit. A little bit, but it's uh it's a smooth transition, so you know I'm not feeling too broken up about it.

Well, I mean, this is an Indika dominant varietal, and uh, you know, I like Indikas for certain time of days or even occasions. Uh, the added pressure sometimes is overwhelming, so I, you know, I try to get something that has a nice balance. This one here was uh something nice. It's a 70-30 Indika, but it had the pressure, but it kind of had like an added tour guide. I uh, you know, I like to use that because it was like uh it kept me out the deep end of the indica, you know, and it was uh very nice. It it was like an Indika dance instead of the usual wrestle, you know. So this was nice. And then the added, you know, the turps and the orange all throughout. Man, this is nice. The only downside was that this batch was a bit dry, you know, and that could only leave what could have been. So for that, I'm gonna give it a 7.7. All right.

Wow. Dancing instead of wrestling. Yeah, you know how that goes. So it was uh so you think you could dance and not WWE?

Well, you know, indicas tend to do that, and they'll throw you on that couch and you will not move from there.

Okay, definitely. I could see that. All right, well, let's see. Final breakdown, right? So, you know, looked at the package. Uh, it was dark greens, ambers, brown hairs, lots of orange. Like really orange leaf here, orange, uh, you know, bud there. You could see the orange, uh, and that was pretty cool. Uh, also cool, the terps smelled like orange peels. Yeah, like you can actually put the bud to your nose and smell orange peels, and that was really awesome. Amber dusting throughout, you know, signaling tricombs, of course. And you know, they were like medium-ish-sized buds, you know, but like Skip said. Ah, the crunch, the crunch. That was not very good. Um, and you know, probably out of control of Cam, but you know, still has to be mentioned. Uh, as far as the experience itself, great smoke tasted again like orange peels. Yeah, very impressive. The smoke was pretty uh smooth, nice, nice feel. Had that little diesel aftertaste. In the end, it converted to citrus. As far as the effects, yes, we felt uplifted and relaxed in the beginning. In the end, we did feel euphoric. It kicked in. So, like we said before, bravo, leavely and all bud. You nailed the description for this train. Yeah, um, and you know, to end it, I guess the best way I could put it, it was a really nice foggy feel. You know, not something that takes over your head space, but more like chills right next to you. And it's a really good chill right next to you. And so for that, I'm gonna give it a 7.9, and only because again, it's the what could have been, right? I don't, you know, what could have been, and that's why I think Skip and I may have to revisit this one. Definitely.
