As far as chimera, the strain itself is a hybrid of white truffle and the creature. The turps are lemonine, caryophylline, and linolul. Flavors are apricot, ammonia, and lavender. Effects are relaxed, creative, and euphoric. Our friends at Leafly say it should be about 27% THC. All Bud does not have anything on this entry. Do better, All Bud. And Bansy themselves say 22.2%.

Yeah, very generous, I gotta say. How did it look, Skip? Very dry, small buds, mustard yellows over greens with orange hairs, musty, sensey, old school notes with some notes of ammonia there. I'm picking up. Ready for the smoke? Ready for the smoke, Skip. Let's do it. Trying to locate what it is.

Yeah, it's uh actually a unique quality that the uh smoke has no flavor, really.

It has one, but it's very mild, and it's like kind of in the back of your throat.

I get it. Like a woodsiness. Um yeah, I don't think that's part of the uh the burning process. It's definitely part of the weed there. It's like a slight hint.

Slight hint. I wanna say apricot. I'm not a hundred percent sure, but I want to say apricot. Not getting the uh lavender at all, or maybe it is lavender, it's like something kind of sweet, but not necessarily sweet.

Yeah, I just got it. Yeah, it's like yeah, it's between lavender and yeah, I can see what you mean by apricot, yeah. But it's not very prevalent, it's like in the uh the back there, right?

It's almost like in the back of your nose when you exhale. That's where you like taste it. So it's a nasal taste, it's not like something you taste in your taste buds, so you're kind of smelling the taste, burning pretty fast. But I mean you would expect that with the fact that it's uh very dry, yeah. It was basically powdery when we broke it up.

This hole here was very dry, although it did come with a boost pack.

Yes, so that's very surprising from Banzi. Yeah, we looked at the COA and it's still supposed to be in its zone of sellability, yeah. So us looking at this product and looking at how dry it is is you know, with a boost pack in it.

Right. It's a bit of a turnoff, but I mean, I mean, we're uh it's not one for uh to point blame necessarily, because I mean it's like we said, we're we're testing using the vagaries that you that the average consumer is used to, you know, because that's what we are aiming to be, the average consumer.

We're not walking in there saying we're giggling's highland, it's us, give us the brand new, fresh stuff. Right.

We are going through what you're going to go through. What you would go through, and that is our point here. You know, some dispensaries there, some are none the wiser. I mean, you can't even really go off the the uh the package or the harvest date sometimes, you know.

It can also be the strain. So about a third in at this point, and feeling something like sips, feeling something in this in the spidey senses, you know, the cannabis senses, but not high yet, but definitely feeling something interesting. Wow, you could even hear how dry it is. Can you hear that? Yeah, the crackle there. Which, of course, whenever that happens with one of our reviews, you know, we we do the reviews, but we with an eye on the thought that it's quite possible that it might have been better if it wasn't so dry. Right. But you know, this is not something that you can blame the dispensary for. You can't blame this to the retail outlet. You know, it's not like the retail outlet opens it and gets to see what it looks like.

So and it is a natural product, so it has natural tendencies. So please do not blame our friends at trends because that's out of their control. You know, it does have that bandsey characteristic that it's smooth, you know. There's nothing really that I've tried with Bansy that's harsh, right? It's usually a very pleasant smoke. The smoking itself is a pleasant experience, like very tuned in, you know, not too much of any kind of turps, everything is just right, very balanced.

And that's usually, you know, meant I guess it's like that's the experience itself they're trying to sell, not just the high. Right. And I could see that.

Yeah, even as dry as this one is, it basically was powdered when we crushed it. We didn't even need the grinder, and uh, yeah, it still has that bansey characteristic.

So about halfway in at this point, and yeah, there's like a generalized high starting to settle in. I feel it in my eye sockets. Uh, nothing as far as uh, you know, Indica physicality, nothing like that yet. Right. And um, just feeling it in my sockets, feeling like a little bit of fogginess in the brain. Uh, like Skip said, it's a pleasant smoke so far, even though it's dry and you could hear it crackle on the microphone. Yeah, but um, other than that, it's a pleasant smoke so far. I'm burning pretty fast. So if the rolling theme starts to become what could have been, you've been warned. Good mates. Yeah, now that I'm like really getting into it, it's it is kind of more like apricot than lavender. Yeah, but it's like it's not the sweet part of the apricot, it's the apricot aftertaste. Yeah, you know that that app that apricot taste, not the sweetness, the other part. Yeah, that's what you get out of it.

It's like a bitter apricot. Yeah, I get it. I get it now. Now that uh we're getting down to a third gone. Yeah, the bouquet is opening up there.

Down to my last third. Seems to just be rolling in the same direction, you know, moving in like slow waves. Um and you know, it's a nice little high. Um I'm not smacked, certainly not smacked, but nice little high and it's more of like an experiential kind of thing. Yeah, I gotta agree, yeah. So down to my last third, like I said, and um approaching less. And uh it's a strange high. Not it's not strong though. It's very mild. Um but it's not unpleasant. It's not like um that it's mild, but you're you know, so you're dissatisfied. It's like it's mild, but you kind of could roll with it a little bit.

It's not it's not a typical like a center line high, you know, those full on smacked on. No, it's for those that experience Bansey, it's similar. It's those kind of highs that it's uh like fog in the edges, yeah. Yeah, very soft sometimes, not a sharp high, but it's there. The high is there.

And it's usually like a euphoric, kind of pleasant feeling. Yeah, slight variations on each strain, but you will have a general kind of euphoric feeling. That part will be there.

That part about Bansy is cool. I mean, it would is leading me to think had this be, you know, if it was fresher or more supple, any kind of moisture, it would definitely be better. Yeah, here comes the the could have been segment.

Oh, it's gonna happen. It's gonna happen every time it's dry. Yeah, it's a could have been segment.

Well, you know how it is. I mean, no one wants to feel suckered, you know. You have to somehow medicate yourself into believing that this purchase was just, even though it's dust.

Yeah. And you know, it's funny because it's like um, and then you know how how if you're a true pothead, you could be so dissatisfied with it, and it's like, are you still gonna smoke it though? Of course I am. Of course I am. Oh, that looks horrible, man. Oh, that's terrible. I agree with you 100%. You're gonna smoke it? Yes, I am. Exactly.

Could look like dust bunnies, and it'll still go down, right?

So, you know, we can complain about the aesthetic qualities as much as we can, but but it's gonna get smoked either way. Got crackling rosy here with this joint.

Yeah, definitely. But let's just start off like coming from the two.

And you know, like I said earlier, pleasant high, feels good. Um, did taste, kind of get the the apricot, definitely got that. Did not really get the ammonia or lavender. I got more spicy and earthy, which you know wasn't even described in this. Um, it was a good smoke. I I I thought it was pleasant. Am I smacked? No, I'm not smacked. Definitely not smacked. Um, but I am high. I am high, and it's a good high. Um, it's a high that you can feel like uh you're you're versatile. You can do things with this high. You can get up now. I can get up and go and you know, run some errands, write something, you know, take care of housework, whatever it is you're gonna do. Like, this is a good high for that. Uh, as far as body effects, I don't feel anything yet. Do you feel anything, Skip?

Yeah, relaxed, a bit relaxed.

Relaxed, and that's definitely one of the effects. That's the first effect. Relaxed, euphoric. Do you feel euphoric? Yeah, I do kind of feel euphoric. Banzi kind of does that. You haven't you noticed that? They they like euphoria in their products, and you know, there's nothing wrong with that. Like, that's actually a good strategy, right? Awesome. I I want you to smoke my product and feel good.

Creative, could lend itself to that, if not.

I think, yeah, because you feel that versatility, like you feel like you can lend yourself to another task right now. So, okay, I I guess we can argue creative too. So far, it's working great. I'm not gonna get smacked, folks, if that's what you're looking for. This is not the one for you. And then, of course, we're gonna segue into our little what could have been segment because we don't know if it would have smacked you if it was fresh. Right. Um, maybe we'll have to revisit it down the road, you know, and try to get a fresher pack and see if maybe there's a difference. But other than that, um, that's where it's at. You know, it's not a smacker, but you know, it's definitely uh nice tracker.

I feel good. I feel high, I feel euphoric, definitely euphoric, definitely relaxed. Um, and let's see how it goes for an hour.

Clean high, also I you know, I noted that. And what I mean by that, that it's um it's not tempered. You know, a lot of times maybe thoughts, intrusive thoughts, things like that always come around. No, here is a clean, very uplifting high. Only thing is that it was dry, you know, leading to that.

And and I understand that it's like your present of mind. Yeah, you're not rolling around in your mind. It's yeah, you could be you can call it focused, I guess. Yeah. But yeah, good high, right? Mm-hmm. Okay, so I guess we'll see how it looks in an hour. Definitely.

Well, it's on the come down for sure. Um, but it was uh, you know, not a harsh come down, very smooth come down. Um actually kind of pretty much all the way back almost. Uh it was a fun experience. Uh didn't reach smack level, of course, um, but it was a fun high. Uh, you know, and like I said, I feel like Bansy is an experiential thing. Like it wants you to feel the process and how it goes. Right. And I think it was a you know, it was a pleasant experience. This will be good for the casual user, the new user. This would also be good for someone. I I noticed that it's very good for like pain, you know, aches and pains. Yeah, Bansy seems to be very good for those type of things, also.

Uh and yeah, I don't feel anything. I feel like completely loosey-goosey, and that's like af after the one hour. So, you know, that's excellent for like pain relief if you're if you're a smoker for pain.

Um, not for the hardcore user if you want to get smacked, of course, but if you're a hardcore user, you could still enjoy this, just you know, with an open mind that you're not gonna walk away being smacked.

What do you think, Skim? I gotta agree. I mean, it's a decent smoke, folks, and uh Bansey, I gotta say, they keep it consistent. All their products so far have the same characteristics. It'll hit you. The smoke is very balanced. A decent, good smoke. Only thing is this one was a little dry. So I would say that if it were fresher, yeah, I think we would be at smack level. You think so, Skip? I think so. I think so.

That's uh interesting uh query to try to prove or disprove. Right. I would love to find out, actually. Maybe we're gonna have to go and find one. A fresh one.

Even though they did, I have to give them credit, they they put in the uh moisture pack, but you know, sometimes it just doesn't happen.

Could have been the jar, space was very hot, could have been a lot of things. Right. So who knows? Could have been in transport in a hot truck. Nobody knows what happened there.

Skip, what are your final thoughts? It's a good smoke, folks. It's potent and it could be more if it were fresh. And because of that, I'll give it a 7.4.

Okay. So I like to do my little rundown, of course. And uh, you know, from the whole experience. So it opened, it had a beautiful turf profile. It was very strong at the time, which was kind of a little bit of a spicy, earthy thing coming out of the package. Unfortunately, the it was incredibly dry. I mean, to the point that when you broke it up, it broke into like that powdery kind of stuff. Um, and that was a huge disappointment. Uh, other than that, it broke very big, it looked nice. The turp profile was strong. Um, you know, it was uh it was a good smoke. I'm not gonna lie. It was a very good smoke. Uh it was pleasant. The experience smoking it was pleasant, so you're hardly doing any coughing. Um, it it's a very mild tasting. So even the terps are very mild. I actually got it more on the exhale than on the inhale. And it was like the apricot. It was like a bitter apricot.

And uh, you know, we were really trying to figure out what it was, and then we finally figured it out. When it finished, it was a great experience, you know, good high. It didn't last very long. So again, I I will say this is for the casual user. So my final thoughts for Chimera by Bansy 1305, pleasant experience, very fun and enjoyable, good for casual users. And if you want to get smacked, maybe not the one for you, but if you want to have something really chill and you know fun to hang out with, you can do it with this. And for that, I'm going to give it a 7.7.
