Bansy1305, also known as Garden Consulting LLC, originally from Rhode Island. It's a boutique New York cultivator known for its high-end small batch indoor-grown hybrid flower. Started out as a one-man operation in Rhode Island, and it was for pain relief.

Velvet Glove, an 8020 Indica dominant hybrid cross of GMO and Nookies. Top turps are terpinaline, cariophyline, and limanine. Top flavors are diesel, citrus, and pungent. Top effects are tingly, relax, and sleepy. THC contents are as follows: 24% according to Leafly, 25 to 28% according to All Bud, and 25.7% according to Bandy 1305.

Yeah, it was just a fat nug left. As far as the look, olives, forests, mustard nugs with orange hairs. Some tricons left over if you look for them, actually. So, so dry, Bansy. Why? I mean, I you tried. You have a boost pack in there.

Pulling before I light it, and yeah, I could definitely taste the diesel. Um, not getting this. No, I'm not getting the citrus. You getting pungent? No.

No. But definitely diesel. Diesel and like a mustiness.

Like yeah, there is a mustiness. I can agree with that. Alright, let's take a look. I definitely taste that diesel in the first pull. GMO and Nookies are the parent.

Have you tried either one of those strains? GMO, yeah. Nookies, no. I'd never come across it. So I don't think I've come across either one. But I um made note of it because the first pulls are kind of like tobacco-ish, kind of, you know, no sweetness in it. At least not yet. I'm not getting the tobacco.

For me, it's more like a diesel. I'm definitely getting the diesel out of it.

Yeah, I feel like a lot of these companies they seem to have a cycle of when they package and sell.

And it appears that Bansy's cycle from the products that we got so far, uh, one of their cycles happened approximately eight months ago. And it looks like that's when we got this package. It's an eight-month-old package. Of course, the expiration is for a year, but we are seeing the difference when you get an eight-month-old package because we have tested other Bansy products that did not have that date, if I recall correctly. And when you get the package that's eight months old, it comes extremely dry. Yeah. And that's not for a lack of trying from Bansy. It's a blacked-out bottle. It has a boost pack. So we can't put it on Bansy there. It's just um the vagaries of time. It's nothing that can be done about that. And then you can't put it on the dispensary either because it's not like they open the pack and take a look and see.

So what does this tell us? This tells us that the consumer, the dispensary, and the seller, we all need a solution, a way to find out how fresh is the product inside the package.

Yeah. And I don't really, you know, want to, you know, get on someone's case or on Banzi's case, but I've enjoyed a lot of Bansy brands. I I I could say over the past year or so. And I gotta be honest, about 98% of what wherever I buy Bansy, it has the same issue dryness, extreme dryness, and almost powder. But to their credit, I've smoked every you know thing. Even if it's powder, I smoke it. As you should. And it always got me high, but that just tells me, wow, if it was fresher, it'd be better. It always leaves that what if, right? Yeah. So I mean, I get it. And they command a pretty high price. You know, Bansy is considered boutique, and it is. Look, this is a pretty good, decent smoke.

Yeah, even as dry as it is, it's it's a good flavor. Yeah, Bansy uh also seems to have this experiential thing. They don't only want you to enjoy the high, they want you to enjoy the smoke itself. So the smoking experience, it seems. It's usually a pleasant taste, it's usually not a choker, uh, usually gives you like pleasant feelings, even if you're not high yet. Yeah. Um, so it's it's it does a good job as far as presentation. Yeah, they process.

They definitely tune in the effects, it's very smooth, always the smoke, not much of a choker, you know. They definitely are doing their thing there. But the dryness is, I mean, it is a natural product, but we're gonna have to figure it out.

And it might be something larger than just uh, you know, the the dispensary or just the packer or just the the the buyer or just the wholesaler. It might need a bigger solution, something that hasn't been thought up yet. We need a solution, folks.

Yeah, or it's easy to assume that these sit on the shelves at dispensaries, and really, I mean, I guess people are off put by the usual uh retail price, which is pretty steep for you know an eighth, upwards of sixty dollars most times.

That's right. I forgot to mention that this retails usually anywhere between fifty and sixty dollars. My fault. Yeah, so this is on the high end of the eighths, or at least the mid middle class ends. Right.

Oh, okay. I can't recall the brand off the top of my head, right? Because I don't think I've ever seen anything bigger than a three and a half from Bansy.

Like sincerely, right? So it's it's very interesting. Yeah, I'm already past the third, starting to feel physical effects, eyes are getting droopy, feeling it in my nose cavity, or nasal cavity, excuse me. Uh feeling a little fogginess in the frontal lobe, but you know, nothing extensive yet. It's just kind of saying like it arrived.

But I'm not, you know, uh high or anything like that yet, so to speak. So I'm about halfway in and I am definitely getting a high. Uh it's ex it's a conversational kind of thing. Yeah. Right. We're just blabbing away, aren't we, Skip?

Uh and I can say I am not like at levels that I would like to be. It's a decent high. Like I feel like I'm somewhere. Yeah. You know, but I don't, and it feels like a nice social kind of thing. So, you know, if I'm looking at the the the effects, tingly, no, relaxed, no, sleepy, no. So, yeah, it's not really doing what it said, what it's uh advertised to do as of this point, but I do feel a kind of general foggy feeling, a little nice, uh relaxed. Well, I guess relaxed did hit ding ding, right? Yeah, so relaxed, high.

Um how you feeling, Skip? Relaxed, a bit relaxed there. You know, the edge is definitely taken, shaving off. No problem here. Anything else though? Not too high, though. I mean, I'm a third left and I'm not flying at all. I'm just coasting.

Yeah, I could say the same thing. It's like cruising, you know, but you know, not not like flying. No, I'm still on the ground. And it's funny because it's a pleasant high, uh otherwise, like it's a nice feeling. It's a good feeling. You feel good, you feel foggy. Uh so you do feel the high. Right. It's just not strong. That's where I'm at, at least.

Oh, what a painful question that is, folks. That is so painful because it's just one of those you never knows, right? Unless we buy it again uh and then run the risk of getting it dry again, right? Or not getting it dry and then really finding out again. I guess I don't know. Maybe we're gonna have to revisit these at some point. Right? The brands that we are finding uh dry. But like we always say, we want to do it like the consumer. So if you get it this way, this is the way we're going to test it. Absolutely. Okay, so I'm down to my last third, and yeah, I'm just kind of cruising. Uh, haven't really risen any higher yet. Still very pleasant. Um, yeah, not much to say, Skip. I don't know.

Yeah, it's a chatty vibe, definitely, if he, you know, if he gets it going, but it's a low-key high, so you know it's easy to forget. Right.

And not forgetful that it makes you forgetful, but that you forget that you're high. Exactly. So yeah, that's a little different. Um, but you know, I I'm not I'm not gonna discount the fact that there's something there.

Oh, yeah, it is a nice, interesting high. You know, it's uh very even but uplifting and relaxing at the same time. So definitely.

Yeah, let's do the rundown. Tingly? Not really, no. No, no tingly. Relaxed? Yeah, yeah, that's definitely in the forefront. Sleepy? No, no, no, no sleeping dairy for me either. Uh, and definitely for the taste, is still diesel through and through. Yeah, no citrus, no pungent for me. How about you?

Yeah, I'm not getting the musty part. Still not smacked, not not near smacked. That's that's pretty sure the case.

Yeah, good way to put it. And you know, sometimes when you roll a little fast, it's still fun, but it's not, you know, cruising at 30,000 feet. Yeah, man.

I'm rolling into my just finished, pretty much. Um, and yeah, it's been a nice experience. It was a fun experience. I like the smoking experience when it comes to Bans E1305 for some reason. For some reason, the the the smoking session is deep, yeah, it's nice. It's always fun, right? In some way or another. This time it was it for me, it was really chatty. We were just talking to smoking. Yeah, you know, it was a lot of fun, and you kind of forget that you're smoking, you forget that you're supposed to get high. Yeah, you know, you kind of forget all that stuff. Maybe that is the high, right? Maybe we're just high, and this is high talk, right? I don't know. So, yeah, I think this is my just finished. And I think, yeah, fun smoke, good smoke, not a smack smoke. I guess that's the best way I could put it, at least at this point. If there's a wave that comes up, that'll be great. And you know what? I'll even be satisfied if it stays at this level, but it finishes the hour. If that does that, okay, that'll be satisfactory too. So I guess for me, you'll see how it goes, okay?

One hour later. How did it go, Skip? Well, it was a decent smoke all throughout. One hour later, I'm not high anymore. And I'm not feeling even the remnants of it, which is kind of strange. But the relaxation is still there. One hour later.

Okay, one hour later. It was an interesting hour. It felt nice, pleasant. Uh, but it kind of just tapered away over the hour. Uh, I do still feel a few remnants, uh, but for me, it's kind of just remnants. There's really nothing more than that, it's just remnants. So it was pleasant, but it did not last long, and it did not smack me or get me really high at all. Right. So, this might be for a casual user, you know, those new guys, or like we always say with the what could have been, right? What if it was fresh? Right, what it could have been. So it sounds like we're ready for the smack ometer skip. We're ready. Let's do it. Let's do it. Definitely feel like this. This is all right. Well, I guess let's start the rundown. So it started really nice, good turf profile, very diesel, super dry. Uh, it's been about eight months since it's been packed. So we don't know if it's the shelf, we don't know what's the deal, it's the shrewd, but it was very, very dry. Um other than that, it had a pleasant smoking experience. We really liked that. And uh other after the smoking experience, we had a nice little high, but it it was exactly that a nice little high.

So, with that in mind, it was not something that is for probably experienced users. Maybe this is something for someone who's very casual. Of course, that goes with the caveat of the fact that it was very dry. So maybe if it was fresh, it would be better.

Other than that, it was still very pleasant, even though it didn't get me smacked or even get me really high. It was a pleasant experience, it was a uh a chatty vibe. You were felt very talkative, very social with it. So, this is something very good for social atmospheres and things like that. I would definitely recommend it for that. And I guess that gives me my final thoughts. So, final thoughts. Pleasant experience, nice ride, but it wasn't getting me into cruising altitude, and it was definitely not getting me smacked. And with that, I'm going to have to give it a 7.1. And I think, yeah, I think that pretty much covers it. What do you think, Skip?

Well, like-minded, I feel the same way. This was a decent smoke, folks. It's um typical Bansy. I'm starting to see. Bansy does their thing, and I can see why they're considered top shelf. Smooth smoke, very tuned in, almost on purpose. But this one was dry, so it started off in the negative there, folks. But um, it will be better smoke. And for that, I'm gonna give it a 6.9. Needs more uh moisture.
