Bansy1305, also known as Garden Consulting LLC, which is originally from Rhode Island. It's a boutique New York cultivator known for its high-end small batch indoor-grown hybrid flower. And it started out as a one-man operation.

And now it's making history. Bansy Belts, a cross between original Z, Rainbow Belts, and Moombo. So we're having a threesome here, folks. Top turps of lemonine, caryophylline, and mercine. Top flavors are sweet, sour, and candy. Top effects are creative, energized, and happy. THT contents are as follows: 24.6 according to Bansy, 22% according to Leafly, and 22 to 24% according to All Bud.

You know, Skip, I don't think I've tried any of those parent strains, Rainbow Belt or Original Z or Moonbo. I've never even heard of them. They're probably Bansy Originals. Yeah, I'm thinking the same thing. As far as packaging, this came in a 3.5 ounce blacked out jar, like Bansy's products usually do. This jar came to us from the Sanctuary Garden on Broadway between 98th and 99th Street, right by the Dunkin' Donuts. Make sure to pay them a visit, y'all. Definitely. I think we're ready for the roll. We ready? We're ready. Let's do it, Skip. And we're back with the roll. So, Skip, how did it break?

It broke pretty even. And it was enough for the show, which is always one blunt and one joint. And there was enough for possibly another round.

That's right. As far as look, it was light green with dark green accents and orange hairs. Very pretty looking. Very fragrant. A milky and sour uh aroma came out of it. I could definitely see the tricones.

And they were nice size buds, very airy and flowery.

Yeah. Very impressed, actually. And like a strong, kind of like a musty, a little frankincense thing going in.

Yeah, like a milkiness. Yeah. But definitely right out the package. Definitely. I think we're ready for the smoke. We're ready. Let's do it. Let's do it. Pulling before I light it. And I definitely get the sour candy kind of thing out of it. Earthiness also. A little bit of an earthiness, yeah, with the sour candiness. I'm not getting necessarily the sweet. It's kind of a hint of it there. Um, but definitely sour candy. All right, let's see what happens. Definitely got that sour candy, a little bit of pininess too. Yeah. Sharp pine. You know, this the main turp is lemonine, but I'm not getting any citrus out of it, are you? And usually lemonine has a citrusy kind of thing. Maybe that's where the sour candy comes from. I would I would hazard, right? Still, pleasant tasting. A little bit of a cougher. Yeah, it's like it opens up to action right away. It's like a kung fu kick to the throat, right? That's right. Everybody's kung fu fighting up in this place, but still, good, good, pleasant pull so far.

Yeah, it has that Bansy thing, you know, that every like tuned-in kind of feel, you know, not too much of this or that.

Right, right. I can actually see that. Yes, I can agree with that.

Yeah, Bansy is like that, man. I mean, I've had quite a few to know that they're a bit like the BMW, if you will, you know. It's a boutique thing. Yeah, it's very tuned, you know, very tuned in. Not too much this, that, not too little.

Yeah, I I can concur with that. Bansy seems to put a lot of um a lot of weight on the smoking experience. Yeah. So the the actual, you know, rolling it, smelling it, looking at it, smoking it, I think that they they actually care about that part of it. You know, there are some companies, they don't care about none of that stuff. You got high at the end, did it smack you at the end, you got smacked. Right. It looks like Banzi's more on the on the vein of certain other companies where they care about the actual experience.

Yeah, or or more like a consistency throughout all their strains, you know, like they have different strains, obviously. Some taste different than others, but there is a uh consistency that's like zoned in, you know. Everything is pretty much the same. It it has the smoke is nice and contained, you know. And we're coughing not because of the smoke, it's that some the inherent dryness sometimes or the spicy notes.

Also, when you have a feathery kind of marijuana and you take poles, it seems to also go right to the sinuses for some reason.

Yeah, so that's also where that the coughing is coming from, which is true for Bansy, too, because most of the time you'll get one or two, one big bud and maybe one little bud, and they'll be kind of very like airy, feathery, yeah. This one is a little bit more fuller, a little denser, yeah.

It had a touch of featheriness, but it yeah, I can agree. It was definitely denser than like certain other strings from the bandsies, yeah. So I'm about a third in, and I'm definitely starting to feel something. My uh, you know, my spider senses are tingling, right? So that's happening. Uh, I'm not like smacked or anything yet. We're not there yet. We're just a third in. So far, good experience. Hopefully, it leads to better things.

I mean, it's even a good start is you know, is that you know, and I I'm already one third in as you, and I'm feeling the pressure, you know, around the eyes a little bit, you know. So we're feeling the physical effects, yeah. And also this one's a pretty popular Bansy string. You know, I on all the reviews, you'll you can easily pull up Bansy belts. Is one of the ones that I I think has been around the longest.

Yeah, Bansi's got got something there, got something there, you know, and that's not something to promote or just to throw out there. This is after, you know, reviewing quite a few of them, you know. The one even when it comes to price, it's it's like controlled. Everywhere you go is almost the same price, a little expensive for an eighth, at least in my opinion, but it is the average and the norm here in New York City.

Also, a little pricey for my tastes. I think an eighth should be less than that, but I also understand the market, and they do market themselves as a boutique.

Yes, they position themselves definitely from the gate.

So they're telling you from in advance, you might pay a little more for this, but you know, we're we're small batch, probably, most likely. Oh, definitely. You know, we're not a big company, so we're not gonna give premium prices. There are others that can sell you whole ounces of their stuff, definitely.

And that you I've never seen anything more than uh than an eighth of Bansy.

Neither have I. They never make more than 3.5 ounce backs. That says a lot, too. So it's like small batch ice cream or something like that, you know. And so the price is gonna reflect that. It also seems to be a smaller company than some of the other companies that we've worked with. Could be. Very interesting, very interesting, right? Which is uh, and it's also kind of a weird dichotomy because it it is a multi-state operation, right? So, how's it a multi-state operation, but small at the same time? Exactly. So down to about halfway, definitely feel a kind of high setting in, little fogginess behind the eyelid, the eyeballs, the eyelids, right? Um, heaviness on the eyeballs.

How are you feeling, Skip? Yeah, the high is definitely compounding there. At first, it was like uh pressure in the eyes, more physical. Now it's uh it's moving around. Yeah, we'll see where it keeps going.

It's uh it's it's settled into a pleasant smoke. Let's break down the effects. Do you feel creative, Skip? Not more than usual, creative. Wow, that's you know, I always found it difficult to classify those type of like effects.

I was gonna say that's a bit of a streak of a stretch. You know, I mean, some you can say are noted for those attributes, but right off the grip, like have you ever smoked a weed that was like, let me create something after not really. If I wasn't in that mode, no. I mean, it can some could enhance that I could see.

Like, I could see that if you're already in a creative mode and it it kind of helps you like focus more into what you're doing, right? That I could see, but then that would be focused, right? Right? So I always wondered about that one creative. So no, don't feel particularly creative unless it's to create a podcast, like we're doing right now for you, folks. Right. Uh energized, feeling energized? Not particularly, more or less. I'm not feeling tired. Happy? But yeah, that's a slight euphoric feeling. Yeah, I can say that. Okay, so we can say happy, kinda energized, not really creative. No. Oh, you know, man, that would be some great weed if it's something that I just like all of a sudden I smoke it and I want to draw something, and I can't draw. So that would be that would be like incredible. I always feel that way about you know, drugs in general, you know, drugs in general, all drugs, I don't think it makes you anything. Anything, right? I think drugs amplify what you already are, for better or for worse. Right. You know, so like I think that's where drugs come in. So, you know, if you were someone who had a tendency to have light fingers, you do drugs, you're gonna be a thief. You know, you had the tendency to be a little promiscuous. It could be a good thing. If you do drugs, you're gonna go all the way with that.

You know, if I mean veering a little bit to the another side, if you do heavy stuff, and there's a lot of things that come with the new you that those attributes people then do gain, you know, in the survival of the fight of addiction. Of addiction, yeah. So, yeah, it's a lot to be said about psychology and drugs in general.

While smoking some weed, folks, you'll get it all here, folks. This is some PhD high talk. Definite, definite. But as far as the experience, still pleasant tasting, the sour candy shines right through. There's touches of sweetness, so it's not completely sour, but the sour candy is definitely the strongest of the flavors.

Uh, I'm not really getting any fruity. Uh I mean, uh, you know, again, that's such a vague like that can mean a lot of things. Do they mean citrus? Do they mean you know, blueberry? Right. Those are two completely different, you know, like sweet attributes or something. So, yeah, definitely sour candy, a little sweet. We're not really feeling the fruity, but uh, you know, pleasant smoke down to the last third. Good pulls at this point, not so much of a choker. Has a touch of the electric in the exhale, yeah, that electric taste that you can kind of get the ozone taste on the way out. Yeah, oh wow. Just when I said it was becoming a more pleasant smoke, of course. Yeah, one of the terps said, uh, I don't know about that, my friend. I said, Hold my beer. As far as the high goes, it has a a bit of the kind of an old school feel.

You get that little high where you're like have a little bit of that body, maybe a little tingly.

Um, and just feel like foggy. So your your thoughts are slightly delayed, and you are a little bit lost for words. That's kind of where it's at, the high. Is it a smacker? No, I'm not like smack. I'm not smacked, but it's a sufficient high. Like I am high, and it's sufficient. So, you know, it doesn't have to be a smacker all the time. Right. Especially if you don't, you know, you're not in a place where you want a smacker. What do you think? What do you think this is good for, Skip?

As far as this is like um, I don't know. I I was just thinking and hearing you talking, I was trying to, you know, say it. But it's uh I don't know, it's like a hash kind of like boutique thing kind of, you know, everything is even, you know. Uh no over nothing, no over tones, no over taste, you know, everything is controlled and it's decent, you know, it's nice, it's something you can puff on for a long time if you needed to, you know.

Definitely very comfortable smoker. But I do I see this as a social. I will say as far as it maybe small group social. Like we were having a pleasant conversation here. I am not so certain that this will work with larger groups. It might. I think that this is the type of herb that if you're someone who suffers from anxiety when you smoke marijuana, probably not for you. And I know because it's it's giving me that little like um, like I said, that tingling, like, but in the back of my neck kind of feeling. And for some people that can be an anxious feeling, even though for me it's like, oh, I'm high, you know. So I'm very uh cognizant of that. I have close friends and family that that's the problem in marijuana, and you gotta be careful which marijuana, you know. If you want to smoke marijuana in the first place, you know, you gotta be careful which one you smoke, because some of them will trigger those effects. And this might be one of those kinds of strains, you know, because it does give you that back of the head, tingly kind of thing going on. Um but experienced smoker, someone who knows their thing and you know knows what it feels like to be high, I would definitely say, yeah. Pretty pleasant experience. Yeah, right? Very clean, very clean, high. That's a good way to put it. Yeah, the entire experience was clean. You you notice that? Yeah, that's what it is. It's clean. The packaging is look, sleek, sleek, clean packaging, right? You open it, you got these feathery, pretty buds, very fragrant, very clean. Yeah, right. You break them up, you smoke it. Even the the the pulls, the taste. Yeah, it's a clean taste. Even wow, that's an excellent, excellent description of the experience. Clean. Yeah. I have to agree wholeheartedly.

There's that alone on the cultivation side, is something, you know, to have that enough experience to, you know, have everything nice and uniform and consistent.

And small batch. You know, I always said that my first experience with Bansy was a unique one because it wasn't fresh. You know, it was very uh even if I I didn't need no grinder or nothing, it was dust. But smoking that dust got me high, and it was a unique taste. And from then on I said, man, if I ever found a fresh one, I know it would be killer. And in a way, this one is kind of what I've always said. This one's fresh. It's not a killer per se, or what our perception of that could be, but man, yeah.

I could say my experiences with Bansy 1305 have been, you know, um, varied, some up, some down. I I can't say that they've all been great, but there have been some winners. That's the way to put it. Best way to put it. I can say that they are consistent in the sense that it's uniform in the presentation, it's uniform in the smoking experience. Not that they all taste the same or anything, but like it's gonna be a pleasant experience. You know, you're gonna like the taste, you're gonna like the rolling, the grinding, how it smells, you know, the way it tastes when you smoke it. Like all that, all of that is consistent with their with that what they're trying to do. I'm sure that even the one that you had that broke into powder, I'm sure it had a lot of the same elements. It did. It was just, you know, probably pretty old. Yeah. It's still unique. Unique. And I I I appreciate that, you know, that is like you pretty much know what you're going to get. Right. When you get a band.

Uh, you know, age-related vagaries aside. Um, but yeah. But as far as the experience per strain, of course, it's gonna be different for everyone. Uh, you know, like I said previously, I I like some, I don't like others. Um, and I think that's everything, right? Right. That's pretty much every every brand. Yeah. You like some, you don't like others. Yeah. And that's the whole point, is to like find what works for you. Hopefully, it will make your job a little easier with these parts, right? My personal belief is there's always a niche for a marijuana.

So, like, if it's a marijuana that's just totally hopeless, then yeah, you can't really work with that. But if it's something that, okay, you know, it gets me high, but it has a ceiling. Hey, use that when you gotta do like work at home. You know, you can be high, but you can be like straight enough to do work or to do something like, you know, don't drive anything. You're a driver. Uh, but you know, if you're working behind your desk at home, you know, that's something to really be able to dig into. All right. Some people like to use it to exercise, so that's another way to use a weaker marijuana, one that you don't want to be knocked out cold while you're lifting weights, right? Right. Even though some people say don't do that. So I'm not suggesting do it, folks. I'm just saying if that's something you do. I never thought of that exercise. I've I have friends that do it and swear by it. Yeah, they're like, oh, because I could be more focused and it's also more pain like management, you know. I could see that. And I'm just like, and you don't want to just sit down on the couch and like eat Cheetos after you smoke, like, well, I work out, man. I might just go sit down. Let me watch some TV. You know, like I'm in here. You really want to work out after that? Yeah, it's possible. It takes all kinds though, you know?

I gotta say, get to the last drop because I'm rolling into my just finished segment and tastes the same. Yeah. Not as much sweet at this point because it's more smoky. But the sour candy went all the way to the end. Yes, finishing the J enhanced the experience. So I find myself high now in a good place. Good high. Like I said, old school feel, foggy feeling, you know, tingly. Um, no bad effects. One thing I can say is that it it might be good for pain relief because I feel great. Yeah, right. No little kinks or anything. Um, and going back to the effects that they described, creative, yeah. I don't think so, Skip. Creative, energized? Okay, I can say that I do feel yeah. A little kick there. A little kick. Okay, so I'll I'll I'll I'll I'll vouch for energized. I'll vouch for energized. And then we both said we both agreed earlier that it was a slight euphoric effect.

And we both also agreed that we don't understand really the what's behind the creative effect. I don't feel like I want to start drawing or writing a song or something. Um, but other than that, yeah, that's my just finish. Feeling good, hopefully to be there in an hour. Yeah. And yeah, we'll see how it goes.

And the same for me. I'm into my just finish as well. And yes, uh, just like the pros said, as I was finishing, the high was enhancing, was getting bigger there. It's not an overwhelming high, it's you know, something that you can surf to uh kind of, you know, you can ride that wave, and it's nice. So let's see how that goes. One hour later.

And so we're back one hour later. So what's the verdict, Skip? Well, I mean, one hour later is uh not as high as I was when I finish initially, but the uh strong remnants of the higher there, I still have ocular uh pressure in the eyes there. Uh it's still there, it's still in the body, you know, it's just not so much as it was before, but I still feel it one hour later.

I gotta agree. I gotta agree. It's it tapered a little bit, but it was very sustained for the entire hour, and I still feel remnants. I feel a very good remnants, so I'm I'm still cruising a little bit. Uh, not as high as before, but I'm definitely cruising. Yeah. So this one I can definitely say wasn't pretty impressive. Yeah, to have this longevity and consistency, right? Consistent and long and longevity. That's that's definitely the hallmarks. I think we're ready for the smackometer.

All right, well, let's do the final rundown. Okay, so when we opened it, it looked beautiful, very flowery buds, very pretty. Turp profile jumped out right away. It was milky and sour, sour candy. And that's pretty much what it stayed throughout. Uh, when you when we smoked it before I even lit it, sour candy all the way with a milkiness attached. Uh, the buds were beautiful, they were frosty, they were pretty, very fragrant, um, nice size buds. Uh, the smoking experience was very good, and uh, we seem to believe that that's a hallmark of Banzi's strains, that the the experience itself, they seem to want you to have a full, enjoyable experience. It tastes good, it smells good, it's uh just a nice experience. The high was excellent, and it was sustainable, it sustained itself for a long time, uh, which for us is pretty good, you know. Yeah, so we like that a lot too. And I guess with that, I'm going to rate it uh because of its longevity, sustainability, um and its consistency. I'm going to rate it a 8.2. 8.2, there you go.

And uh it seems like we're of like minds because I feel the same. This was a very decent, enjoyable, smooth, nice smoke. And to top that with the after high and the whole experience, the longevity, like the pro said, the consistency of the high, this is some good stuff. And even though it's a bit pricey for what it is, I can argue to say that Bansy all cross all their strains have that similar characteristics. I fair to say quality, but that also is subjective. And for that, I'll give it an 8.1.
