I appreciate that coming from you. That means a lot to me, man. You feel what I'm saying? And of course, you always been repping the Papa Zoe show from way back when we was at the bank. You know what I'm saying? So, man, I appreciate you for all the love. You already know what it is, it's real. It's day one. Oh man, for real. You know what I'm saying? So, whatever, whatever my little bro doing, I'm gonna I'm gonna be there, I'm gonna support what it is. You know what I'm saying? Whatever, and it's vice versa. I'm gonna support you no matter what. And much love. We're glad to see you at that car show. Nigga, you was moving around, nigga, in the in the Haitian president limousine, nigga. Du Palier! Hey, hey, hey, hey man, I appreciate that, man. But you know, every year the car show likes gets better and better. You know, I had your sister called me. Right. You know what I'm saying? And she, you know, we talk a couple things, you know what I'm saying? And she actually, hey, elevation. Every year it's getting better and better. You feel what I'm saying? And I want you to know that I'm proud of you. You feel me? For you and Freddie, you know what I'm saying, for coming up with the, you know what I'm saying, that car show for the culture. Right. The culture definitely needed it. Right. You know what I'm saying? And you and you the you the boat of the car show. Man, it means a lot coming from the real ones. That's why we do it. You know what I'm saying? Um, it was never about having the most people. Nigga just wanted to link with the right ones. You know what I'm saying? Yeah. So, so, and I feel like every year it's getting better and better. Meaning, you know, we trimming the fat. We keeping it lean. Right, right. Let's fuck with the real power players. You know what I'm saying? And not necessarily who got the most money, who spend the most money, but who really sacrificing the most, who making the big the biggest impact. Same way you out here, nigga, we on the block. We out here in Miami, nigga. Papa Zoe Show making an impact. So me having a number one record, I had to come up here and sit down. Because I feel like, you know, it's niggas watching this everywhere. I got niggas in Africa. It's niggas everywhere who always hit me up, reposting shit. You know, but I feel like, you know, this special to the crib, most definitely. Right, right. There's something that the crib needs. Right, right. And every nigga from the crib, you should always tap in with Papa Zoe. This is a real nigga right here. You know what I'm saying? I appreciate that. I appreciate that. On the, on the on the uh uh, on the P.O.M. Port of Miami tour, what? The 20th anniversary, what made you come up with that? You know, it was just like, yo, you know, every damn hustling, that was my first record, my first release, that was on my first album. We've been performing that since day one. How do we go to the next level? I performed with an orchestra before, but I've never had an orchestra and a choir. Right, right, right. You know what I'm saying? Let's let's get all black orchestra, all black choir. Let's do it with a small black independent promoter, and let's just see what it feels like. That's gonna be the celebration. You know what I mean? And that's what's different, you know. And I'm glad we did it. I'm glad for the experience, I'm glad for the few cities we hitting. And um, you know what I'm saying? My nigga, it's for the game. Like you say, too easy. Too easy. And you know, uh, on the on uh on a number on having a number one song and urban music, Manx in Miami. How did you and French and Max be? Because I know you and French go back. Yeah, that's my so uh what what bought that? You know what I'm saying? I know Emix, Emix, Emix did the mix in the engineer, right? Emix recorded it and mixed it, you know what I'm saying? Um, and I let him choose who he wanted to master it. Right. But what it was was we actually was at the crib in Star Island. We and we was in the studio. You know, the studio wasn't wasn't finished, right? It was still not complete. Right. I wanted to build the best room, I put the most, invested the most, spent the most. It's the nothing but the best from the microphone, you know, shit like that. Right. Um, but emix had his laptop on the floor, he rigged the mic, and we going through the the beats that night, and we come we came across that track. Shout out to the homie James, and I said, God damn. I wrote it right then, just so happened. French hit me and asked me for the record that's out now, smoking part two. Right, right. Last time me and French was together was maybe a week or two before, and we was listening to the beats he had. Right. I play the beats I have, that's how we do. Right, right. What's up, nigga? Who got the best beats? And um, he hit me that night. Uh-huh. He in the studio with Max B. He sent me a record. I'm like, shit, I'm in the studio right now. I'm finna send you a record. Right, right. So we did, I did both of my records right then. I did Minx in Miami, my two verses, sent it to him and Max. Then I began writing a verse for his record. Right, right, right. By the time I was finished with mine, sending it to him, they were sending me back Minx in Miami. So we knocked that shit down. And EMIX recorded me. EMix was sitting on the floor with the laptop to the mic. We don't got no speakers, we don't got shit. He had a little monitor, a little shit set up. But as soon as we recorded it, I was like, yo, this shit a vibe. And here we are, number one urban record. And I want to say it's been 15 years since I had one of those. Not being on it, not being featured on it, but having that Ricky Rose single. Yeah, your own single. Salute to everybody that's you know playing a part in that and downloading and streaming the vibe. You, you, uh, how you know what's your your thought process when you pick your beat? Why you ain't you ain't I from all the tracks you've picked, even from back, back in the days, your younger days, nigga, when you were 19, when you pull out that first, that first boy, G Boy, listen to this, tell me what you think. Yeah I told you from back then, when you were 19 years old, nigga, you got it, boy. From hearing that, the beat from the beat you you pick from from back then to how you know which beat, how you how you feel the beat, bro? Because it's like, for me, I love music from everywhere, beginning with the crib. So I understand when some shit got bass, when it's up tempo, then I always study how them niggas, the beats Ice Cube was rapping on, Scarface was rapping on, listening to them niggas Eric B and Rockim. And I just made sure my sound, it's gotta be something that's held at this quality of better. If I want some West Coast shit, I know where I could lean into. And so when I began listening to producers, listening for to the vibes, I just knew my nigga, my shit gotta be better than just it's gotta be something that even if I'm doing it for the south, I wanted to feel a way where niggas in the west can fuck with it, niggas in the east can fuck with it. Yeah, yeah, this shit worldwide right here. You know what I'm saying? I want niggas in Kenya, Guyana nigga, to hear this shit and say, yo, what you got a lot of love in Africa. You know what I'm saying? You got we got a lot of love around the world. All over the world, Africa, Africa, nigga. Hey, they be in my DMT. Tell your tell your little brother I love him. Yeah, yeah, yeah. And I love y'all too. You know what I'm saying? I love y'all too. This shit real. Hey, man, hey, I'm gonna tell you this here, right? If ain't no, if ain't nobody never tell you this, it's coming from me, for my heart. Nigga, I love you, boy. I love you. Like a brother, your mama. You already know your sister, you guys are true, age. True in my heart. My nigga, you know what that means. You know, coming from a real one. You already know what it was, nigga. When you was coming round, for the niggas that don't know. Um, when he was coming round to my crib, I was still a young nigga in junior high. Dog had the land cruiser. That was the land cruiser. No, no, what that was. It was a land cruiser. It was a land cruiser. That was the land cruiser. Dog will give you $40 for nothing, nigga. Yeah, this shit real. Look, I'm just telling y'all from a young nigga perspective. This nigga right here give you $40 for nothing, nigga. You know what I'm saying? Then you know, you know, so I just want y'all to understand when a nigga like, you know, this is my homie, you know what I'm saying? Um, you know, it just let me know, Rose stand focused. You know what I'm saying? We know what the purpose is. And for any hustler, any artist, always keep that up front. That's what's most important. What is the purpose? That's how you make your homies prouder. The niggas who genuinely love you and genuinely want to see you win, is you gotta keep the purpose always to the forefront behind any of that other shit. So I love you, my nigga. Hey, appreciate that. Love you too. On on uh on the why you uh I know the date. I had another date in mind for the dropping of the set of stone. So you push it back to July. July 17 is the release date. You know what I'm saying? I was on a run, I'm moving around, I'm watching the record move, I'm watching the record connect with radio. You gotta realize when I drop records like, you know, set, you know, Minx in Miami, I a lot of times it's not really the radio success I'm targeting. Right, right. I want to target that core audience that love what Rose do. Yeah, yeah, I like that. You know what I'm saying? I've been successful for the last 20 years, and it's been 15 years since I had an urban number one record. But during that whole time, we still been winning. So it's never been just my goal to target the radio, but as we watching this record grow, watching it go, let's let it do what it does. Let's change the date, let's focus on the tour, let's focus on the car show, and let's um give ourselves, you know, even if it's less than another month. Most definitely. Maybe those those extra three weeks to do a lot of, you know, some other things that we're coming up with as a team. But yeah, July 17th. How many how many cities you got left for the uh POM tour? How many cities you got left? I want to say maybe it's 13 more cities left. Yeah, I want to believe maybe it's 13 more cities. You know, when I first came up with the idea, the idea was maybe possibly do five cities with a huge choir, a huge orchestra. You know, you know, you know, I'm a party, I'm a party animal. I want to have on swaggy gear. The red bottom Christian Lubatins ain't really rose. And then I want to take the mose off quick when I put the moes off. So, but you know, I just wanted maybe to hit, you know, maybe five major cities Miami, Atlanta, DC, New York, LA, Detroit. But it kind of just spilt over. Right, right. You know what I'm saying? And I said, fuck it, let's, you know, let's do it for the 20-year celebration. And, you know, shout out to everybody that's getting a ticket. You could go to pom20.com. Most definite, most definite. Hey, man, Rose, man, hey, when you when you when you when you hit me up, when you hit me up on like, yo, you coming through. You know what I'm saying? I know you how how busy you be, how busy you is, and then there's time you, you know, we plan, we make plan, but it don't go always a plan as plans. You feel me? Because I know how busy you is. You know what I'm saying? You ripping and running, you gotta, you're doing a million things, man. You got a million, you know, things you gotta, you know what I'm saying, go through. So I never I never take it any type of way because I know my brother loves me, my brother supports what I'm doing. You better believe, you know what I'm saying? So just like I support my brother from day one, you know what I'm saying? And and and I say this to say that, you know what I'm saying, as you, as I'm seeing you grow from a from a from a from a young nigga to who you are now, it's like, man, is this really my little bru for real? You know what I'm saying? Just I mean, you just the love you showing, you know what I'm saying, to people, the the respect. I mean, I'm proud of you, man. I'm gonna say it again, I'm proud of you. Hey, boy, it's all love. Um, I just want to make sure I express and stress this to the young niggas, the young hustlers, the entrepreneurs, and not just in Miami, but around the world. Make sure y'all understand the art of networking. If you an artist, you should be reposting Papa Zoe's show just because when it's your turn to come on the show, nigga, you got that much more weight. You've been showing love. That's what I always do. I get on the platform, I show love. Let's show love to niggas. I see young niggas hustling, let's do something. I've been watching Bust the Free Footer, just watching them spit his shit. I hit him up. Hey, my nigga, let's do a song. And I want to shoot the video for you. That's true just because you a hustler, you know what I'm saying? And I, shit, my nigga, let's keep going. But niggas gotta learn to master the art of networking. Ain't nobody gonna ask you to do it. Just step out there and do it. Well, I got you. And I'm gonna I'm gonna show love, and I'm gonna show love, and I'm gonna continue to show love. And when your time comes, nigga, your name carries that much more weight.
unknownYeah.
SPEAKER_00So whatever I was doing, cool. I'm gonna stop that. Hey, hey, hit bruh right now and let him know we're gonna pull up and just sit down and let's shoot this shit. You know what I'm saying? Nigga, I got some motherfuckers sitting at the table right now waiting on me, but this is what we're gonna do for bruh. I seen bro at the car show. He made his rounds, and guess what? It's on my heart. That's what a lot of niggas don't understand, nigga. When a nigga trying to build something that's bigger than the world, you may not see the vision, but be patient. I seen Bro at that car show, bro. I wish I could have ran over there through them 5,000 niggas and gave them a hug. But the time went in, but guess what? It's on my heart, nigga, and I'm here right now. This is the first sit down since we got a number one record, and I ain't had one of them in a long time. So the streets here in Miami, we up. That's what it is. Damn, I feel honored, bro. Since 15 years of the first sit-down you have right here. No, this is the first since since me having a number one record. It's just been 15 records. It's been 15 years since me having a number one record at Urban Radio. Right. You the first stop I made, you know what I'm saying? After I got word right here. Boom. That's my dog, nigga. What's happening? Appreciate that. How many songs you got on the EP? How many songs you got coming on? No, I got set in stone coming on. I want to say it's 19 records. Ooh, you get it. Nah, we, nah, nah. Nigga, this is real. It's real. We ain't playing no games. Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah. Yeah, yeah, yeah. Minks in Miami number one. I just dropped mahogany caskets featuring T.I. in those next records. Man, we ain't, I'm not playing no games. You know what I'm saying? And I'm doing it, nigga, nigga, cause we can. That's when you a fly, nigga, nigga, when you done got paper boy and you on top, nigga. But guess what? Cause we love the sport. We love to get dressed up, nigga, and put on eight bracelets on one side or watch pinky ring. Yeah, just for the that motivation. That's what it is. And it's the difference between a nigga that's hustling and going to get it and gluttony, nigga. Nah, we nigga, we gonna go get it. We gonna motivate the streets with it too. Man, hey I mean, I appreciate you, man, really. For uh, you know, just blessing, you know, your present. My nigga, you earned it. That's one thing. That's one thing. That's one thing. That's one thing. When you a real one, nigga pull up on you no matter who it is, how far they come from, what they got, what they did, when nigga, when it happens, it only happened for one reason. Because you earned it.
unknownThank you, dog.
SPEAKER_00You earned it and you continue to do it every day. Like I said, this shit is staple in the streets. The Papa Zoe show, this ain't just no, no, this a must. For everybody that's watching this. If you in the city, if you plugged in, I don't know. If you don't know what who Papa Zoe is, you might, when he laughing and being joyous, you may take that another way. I don't know. If you know dog for how Rose knows dog, I don't know. One day that's all him if he tells y'all nigga what the play really is. I don't know. Y'all niggas may think this shit a regular podcast. I don't know. I told you. Them niggas had Lexus's before we could pronounce it. The Land Cruisers, nigga. Yeah, dog will give you $40 for that. Hey, go put in your pocketbook. Hey, my nigga, it's shit. If I'm lying, I'm flying. My nigga, I'm gonna tell you. Hey. Rose life, nigga. If I was one of y'all, I wouldn't believe it neither. I'ma leave it right there, nigga. Yep. Yeah, yep. This shit. This shit is real, boy. Y'all don't know. This shit different. Y'all don't know. We know. And Rose pass, and nigga, we pass trying to prove anything to any nigga. We ain't proving nothing to no nigga. We ain't trying to prove to no nigga how much paper we got. My nigga, that ain't even important, nigga. Let's keep building and representing where we from, my nigga. You know I love you for life. I love you for life too, man. It's too easy. Thank you, man. Thank you. It's too easy. Z B. Already. Boom.
