SPEAKER_00Oh man, most people, most people, I don't know. Most people be on these shows and podcasts. They be like, man, my life, my childhood was beautiful, lovely, man. We enjoyed playing football, baseball, all sports. We was a community. You know, if we needed sugar, we could go next though. So um being a kid was um was was it was a great experience, man. My granddad was a hustler, my dad was a hustler, my uncles was a hustler, and and they they always tried their best to steer me to go the opposite direction. Unfortunately, I made some some bad decisions in life, but but for the most part, it wasn't trained for me to do wrong. It was always an opportunity for me to do what I do and be a kid, you know. So I enjoyed my childhood over time. We had great times.
SPEAKER_03Man, listen, boy, I remember me. I remember I remember my younger days when I when I when I had my box Chevy, this is in the 80s now, I'm ride through overtown. I was ride through with the with the drop with the drop, boom, boom, you know what I'm saying? And I'll be like, yeah. But they had some nice girls down here.

SPEAKER_00Oh man, to be honest, man, um just like the 15k challenge before the 50k challenge, right? Um, I I really wasn't interested in joining the challenge. I I didn't I didn't feel like to be honest, I didn't feel like um competing with politics at first. So I thought I thought everything was gonna be more politics than really looking for the real talent, the real spitter, the real, the real guy that's really coming from Miami that maybe haven't been heard the right way or heard yet.
SPEAKER_03I'm gonna tell you something to cut you off, right? Not to cut you off. The reason why we did not do no uh, you know what I'm saying, freestyle. We said we wanted the best song. You feel what I'm saying? And because having the best song, and you go up there perform the best song, that's a whole different thing than freestyling.

SPEAKER_03Yo. So, I mean, okay, when did you take music serious?
SPEAKER_00When did you you really start taking music serious? Um, to be honest, like taking it serious. I always played around with music as a kid, nine years old, recording myself going over uh uh instrumental beats. You know, you have Trick Daddy, Uncle Luke, Piccolo, these guys was dropping music. They always had the instrumental track on them. So I was one of those kids trying to mimic, you know, what you see. And you know, I instead of paying attention all the way to the dope boys, I found music. And I seen guys that inspired me to do music. Like I said, you got the Trick Daddies, the JT Moneys, these guys were able to be touched in my community. So listening to those instrumentals and mimicking what they were doing and coming up with my own words was was leading me to become an artist. And when I when I got out of college, wasn't able to make the basketball team and do what I thought was gonna be my career, was was gonna be my future. I like, man, I either could the coach say I'm too small, but I say, man, if I rap, it don't matter how tall or short I am. I if you got good words, so I say, man, I'm gonna I'm gonna try this. I'm gonna put my fourth effort into becoming an artist. And it went from open mics to 30,000, 30,000 people in the crowd, 40,000 people in the crowd, to $50,000 in my pocket.
SPEAKER_01Wow, that's what's up, though. Hey, that's what's up. YD though, is it matter of fact, yeah, a man said he's gonna call him this YD here, but today we're gonna call him 50K. I want to be the next Bell L brand ambassador, I want to be the next biggest bumboo brand ambassador, I want to be the next biggest superstar coming out of Miami, up on the standing on the shoulders of Rick Ross, the trick daddies, the trainers, the flow riders, the pit bulls. These are big shoes to feel. So I don't want to, I don't not only want to feel their shoes, I want to, I want to take it to another level. I think these guys are putting out inspiration and motivation. Rose put out a motivation for the city. And if you don't take it as motivation, man, I don't know what's going on. Something wrong with you. Something wrong with you. Then you got real genuine OGs that come from a lot of these rappers fake and talk about. You got Papa Zoe, Sonny, Big Money Sonny, OG Jiggavella, these guys did that time. Yeah. And we y'all showing us another. Listen, man, you got a craft, you got a gift, use it. We here's a platform from for you. And hopefully you don't end up making some of the mistakes we made. Matter of fact, we're gonna help you not make those mistakes. So I see all that, all that opportunity that you guys are putting on the table for us as artists coming from the crib.
SPEAKER_03So you what what was your your your music selection, the the song you selected? What was what was the why was it and why did you select it?
SPEAKER_00Um it was honestly, I knew I had different music, but deep down outside of like Buck saying, let's do something different. Even my baby mom picked the song, the take them to church. I I just knew I'm capable of doing more things than the average artist that was joining the competition. If you was average, you you lost already. You're gone. Because I can I can freestyle, I can rap on industry instrumentals, I can create a song, not only create the song and write the song, I can perform the song. So all those elements, all those elements, crowd participation, getting the crowd engaged. I've been studying this game, I've been doing this for years, over 20 years. So all that experience came into play that night. And maybe other artists out there have been doing it just as long. It's uh like Buster Free, some guy, salute the little dread, salute the uh uh Stax. All those guys, my peers, they they came up with me. Exactly. But I really do this like on a note on another level. No disrespect, but I'm I really I feel like the Michael Jordan of Miami. I'm I'm the Tupac of Miami, like the MM, the Lil Wayne of Miami, and then these these names, I'm these ain't no that's some big shoes. I'm ready to I'm ready to toe to toe with Kendrick in the booth right now. I'm ready to with these names, Drake's, whoever. Yeah.
