old_townsouth and Truebatman4444 are back breaking down all things related to Marathon season 2's midseason patch.

SPEAKER_03

Howdy, welcome everyone to running out of breath, episode 14. We are back, and it is good to be here with you all. I'm your host, Old Town South, and again, apologize. We have been gone a while. Woo! Lord have mercy. Life has been lifing, places to be, things to do, oblig sick, sick kids, vacation, work obligations, family obligations, this, this, and that. But uh, nevertheless, we are we are the running out of breath squad. We're back. We're in your car, we're in your ears, wherever you are. Getting your marathon listening ears on. Great to be with you all. Disclaimer, everybody, my boy Bat. He might have to do some carry tonight. Um, about an hour, it is currently 8.37 our time right now, PM. And about 8.25, bet I haven't even told you this yet. I started feeling the symptoms of a pretty gnarly migraine.

SPEAKER_02

So every time I talk, my head hurts.

SPEAKER_03

And that hurt too. Um, so yes, uh, my boy, uh, my boy Bat may have to do some carrying tonight. So just a little disclaimer, everyone. If I seem a little off for starters, it's almost been, I hate to say this, about two weeks since we've recorded an episode. But also, as of this very moment recording, I am battling a migraine. But I am we are way overdue an episode. Let's get a little sprout going here. Yeah, boy, there we go. We're overdoing an episode, and you all beautiful listeners, we're we're due one. Um, thank you everybody again uh for giving this podcast a listen, sharing it with a friend, sharing it with your friends. We from the bottom of our heart appreciate it so much. So, bad, uh, I'm gonna I'm gonna talk to you a little one-on-one right here. Uh, we don't have any uh no major breaking news or anything, no uh no fan mail as of right now. That'd be hilarious if it came through, but no fan mail, but we do have an achievement to announce to everybody. And we've been looking out for this one for a while now, and it finally happened. And to make it even better, I think I know who it was. But, anyways, that uh episode nine of running out of breath reached a hundred downloads. Let's go. We did it. And to make it even better, I think it was yours truly, Miss Coco Mom. I think she was the 100th download because the timing is just ironic because she was in my stream last night and she's like, hey, I saw that shout out in episode nine, and then I looked, I'm like, oh wow, look at there. We're at 100 finally. So I meant to share that with the group. So hi group, hi hi Colt, hi running out of breath, Colt. Um we did it, guys. We freaking did it, man. We have uh an episode that's a hundred downloads. Um I could get all sappy and go on and on, but seriously, thank y'all so much for putting on more steam, putting on more gas, and helping this community grow. Another little shout out, um, yellow on the sidelines and in the side has, you know, kind of taught to me. And basically he was just like, hey, yellow op. Uh he was like, you know, hey, I just want to help you organize your Discord a little bit more, and I got some ideas for you. And what do you think about it? And I said, hey, man, uh I'll give you the privileges and uh we can we'll uh let me see what you cook up and we'll see if we can roll with it. And so far, I like what he's done. It's really cool. So uh shout out to Yellow Op. I really appreciate your willingness to uh because I'm just gonna I'm gonna be honest between a full-time job, a full-time dad, full-time, full-time this, full-time that, uh, I just get caught up with stuff, and sometimes it is I'm scratching tooth and nail just to get in on some games and let alone, you know, uh tapping in the content creator, doing TikTok videos, doing YouTube videos. I mean, Lord have mercy. I needed some help in that department for sure. So I just appreciate you, Op, when you hear this, your willingness to to help out. Okay, that you know, man, um what me and you do best over here is everybody appreciates just our kind of buddy-to-buddy roundtable discussion. And we're never gonna, and that that's never gonna lose its identity. So check this out. Man, I think we'll I I had a little fun idea for tonight's episode, and I think I thought we would start off with some especially since we didn't have like any fan mail or any like big big news to announce or anything beside the hundred downloads in episode nine, which was awesome. I thought it'd be cool to start off with some Summer Wien stories and just a little bit of context. Like, I love Halloween so much, and in my psychotic lunatic brain, July 5th starts Summerween for me. The days of the day, I literally my whole life, I I get excited about Halloween the day after the 4th of July. Uh, because it just in my head, it's like, let's freaking go, dude. Like, that's the next holiday, and not only is that the next holiday, but like that's my favorite holiday. And, you know, me and you, we've talked a little bit on the sidelines, and um what I shared with you is uh basically like, hey, let's let's both share, if we have one, in sp in spirit of Summerween and in spirit of the upcoming glorious Halloween, Halloween, uh uh, Halloween uh in October. Sorry, I just had a total brain melt down there. Uh Holiday. Good lord, this migraine is pounding. Holiday. We'll share a scary movie that we like with everybody, and we'll share uh perhaps a real life scary story. So about I'll start off, man. Um, I'm gonna start off with a movie, and then I want you to give your movie, and you can it can be from anywhere, anytime, and you share whatever you want to about it. Now I'm a horror movie fanatic, man. I I love the 70s, the 80s, the 90s, the 2000s, the 2020 teens. Like I love all kinds of scary movies. I have one I would like to recommend to everybody that just recently came out in 2026. Oh my gosh, dude. I watched, we about I'd say now, it's been about two weeks ago. My wife and I we sat down and we had a movie night, and we watched Obsession. Bad, have you heard of this movie?

SPEAKER_01

It is one that I have been watching the trailers for, and I desperately want to go watch. It looks amazing.

SPEAKER_03

It was so good. Rotten Tomatoes gave it a really good score. The audience on like the audience section on Rotten Tomatoes gave it a really great score, and it is all holds up rightfully so. This movie, man, will make you just feel all the different emotions. It's got it all, it's got funny moments, it's got intense moments, it's got kind of sorrowful moments. I mean, you'll just feel all the emotions. The character development, the acting is so good in this movie. There's just some off the wall crazy things that happen in this movie. I'm gonna give everybody just a little teeny tiny synopsis of what's going on in Obsession, and I will leave you all to have fun with the rest and go watch it for yourself. Basically, you've got the main character is this guy, and he's probably roughly in he's in from anywhere from 19 to 21, I would say, if I was guessing, he's somewhere in that age, and it's a friend group of four. There's two girls and two guys, and basically the main character has this big crush on this girl, and her name's Nikki. And he I he's probably had this crush on her for years, but it's kind of one of those situations where uh he can't, he just doesn't know how to tell her how he feels about her, and like there's scenes where he's like practicing with his buddy, like, should I say this? Should I say it to her this way? Should I say it to her this way, you know? Well, um, again, without giving too much away, he kind of makes his attempt to tell her in one scene, but it doesn't go entirely like he would like for it to. And he has this wish. He buys this, but he was meaning to give it to her, and he has this box, and he basically says something along the lines of I wish Nikki loved me more than anything in the world. And the second he does that, and he breaks that little wand or he breaks that little wish stick, the movie just takes a dark turn from there. That's just a foreshadow of what's gonna happen for the rest of the of the movie. It's so freaking good, man. 10 out of 10, almost almost a 10 out of 10 for me, especially for a 2026 horror movie. I it's great, man. Highly recommend it, Bat. Highly recommend it. Do you have a movie for us for everybody you'd like to recommend?

SPEAKER_01

Um, yeah, I mean, I've I've got a couple, and I won't I won't like stay on them too long, but um if you're looking for like classic horror, like an older movie that's not really scary scary. Um my one of my all-time favorite movies is Christine. Yeah, buddy, Stephen King. I will watch that movie on repeat Thor days. I love Christine. Um obviously, I think a really good series of movies um would be The Conjuring.

unknown

Yes.

SPEAKER_01

I'm in anything in that realm, Annabelle, all those. Um of the scariest movies that I've watched, I'd probably say at least since high school, um, is Babadook. Oh, the Babadook. That is one of the very few movies that I've only ever watched once because I don't know if I can watch it again. Um and then one of my all-time favorites um just in general is Sinister. Love Sinister.

SPEAKER_03

Yes, another good one. Yes. Um I about I also have that that movie for me that I watched it once and I've never watched it again because I'm afraid it would scare me. That movie for me is the 2005 The Grudge.

unknown

Oh, the Grudge.

SPEAKER_03

That movie, dude. I was in the fifth grade when I watched that movie. It scared watched it. It scared the piss out of me. And one of the things I'm scared of is like weird, creepy, demonic women with black hair over their face with creepy faces. That's one of the things that scares me. Spoiler alert, everybody. Obsession taps into old town's fear a little bit. So that movie lived rent-free in my head for a few days after I watched it. Some of the dude, I I'm gonna say it. I did, I'm gonna say it, dude. He everybody, if you don't want, uh plug your ears right now, turn your turn your um turn your volume down. I'm gonna give you the count of three. I'm gonna give a little spoiler. Three spoilers coming in. Three, uh, two, one, now there's a scene where they're the the main character and Nikki, they're laying in bed together, and he he goes to sleep, and then when he wakes up, she's not in the bed with him, and it's just in the corner, dude, staring at him, bro. And he's like, Nikki, is that what are you doing?

SPEAKER_02

And dude, and this most sinister, weird, kind of hot, kind of not hot, weird voice, it's like I I I just I just like watching you sleep. It's okay, you could just go right. You could just go, dude, it's so crazy. Yo, dude, it and then he's like, Nikki, like, you're kind of weird.

SPEAKER_03

He literally says, like, you're kind of weirding me out. Like, come on back to bed. I do not know how to explain what she does next into words. You're just gonna have to watch it for yourself. But then she like does this weird bunny hop demonic dash across the room, and then she just comes up like okay, okay, it's so creepy.

SPEAKER_01

I've seen so many clips from it, dude. I want to watch it so bad.

SPEAKER_03

Oh my god, it's good, bro. It's so it's so it's so worth a watch. Even if what it if even if you don't like it, it's worth a watch. 100%. 100%.

SPEAKER_01

The one thing I wanted to say is like my horror is typically paranormal. That's kind of what I gravitate toward. I'm not really like the the psycho killer or the suspenseful, you know, mental stuff like that. Um there's actually one, and I I don't remember the name of it. It might be Hold My Hand. I saw it on Netflix.

SPEAKER_03

Is it by any chance, okay, if you're if we're talking about the same movie, is it called Um Talk to Me?

SPEAKER_01

Yes. Yes.

SPEAKER_03

That one was another banger. So good. Wicked movie.

SPEAKER_01

That movie was wicked. And it was slept on because it's just on Netflix, and I had never seen any like promotions for it, no trailers, no nothing.

SPEAKER_03

I yeah, that's me. No promotions. I don't really hear anybody talking about it. Um, that was fr- I I got through watching that. I was like, holy cow, that was good. That was wicked.

SPEAKER_01

I think they're coming out with a second one.

SPEAKER_03

Oh man, I'm I'm I'm in. Sign me up for that. Let's go.

SPEAKER_01

Excited for that.

SPEAKER_03

Well, real quick, um your boy over here, he's struggling. I'm not even looking at my computer screened right now. Um so we was kind of talking about like what's a real life scary story, something that just kind of weird and out there that's happened. And let me tell you, man, um I had an experience back when I was in college, and you know, my major was social work, and in 2017, we basically went to Shelby County, Tennessee, and that's actually the city of that's Memphis. And we had this um, we were doing this we were at this training, and it was all with the school, my college and the school and everything. It was like uh, if memory serves me right here, I think it was a human, like human trafficking awareness training. And it was really good, it was really informative and everything, and it was kind of wild to basically like get into like that that stuff happens, like in this state and in that county, and you know, etc. etc. But they had this training, they provided breakfast for us. And I was over, um, I was just like grabbing me, uh, I think I had like a bagel. I was grabbing me some coffee, and uh, I started talking to this woman. She at the time, man, yeah, you know, bear with me, this has been almost 10 years ago, but she uh she's probably like in her 60s, I would say-ish, maybe 50s, I don't know, something like that. And we were just casually talking with each other. And uh the training proceeded. I, you know, I said, all right, well, you have a good day and everything. And I went back and I sit down and this and that. And uh later on in that training, and later on in that training, basically they got to talking about the Green River Killer. Uh, the Green River Killer, he was a like a real-life serial killer like back in the 80s. And he, you know, treated obviously treating this with like respect, like he killed a lot of people. Um, he's like one of the guys that like has has murdered the most people in in the United States. And he's like, apparently, he could like even confessed like more killings and bodies like they didn't find. And he was one of those dudes that like he he got away with it for a long time. Like he hid like out in plain sight, you know, like super, super creepy stuff. So I don't I want to be tr be very careful, and obviously, this is like, you know, treat this with the respect, you know. But so basically at this training, they were like, okay, you know, they talked about him a little bit, and is they somehow tied it all together. And they was basically like, all right, well, allow me to introduce to you, it was either the only or one of the only survivors, people that got away from him that escaped, and that it was I'll be due chills. I'll I still remember this day, chills went up my arm. It was that woman I was talking to back at like the breakfast bar. I was like, oh my god. What? That's crazy, and I was so I have met Bat and talked to one of the only people that survived the Green River Killer.

SPEAKER_01

It's just crazy, like you never know who you're talking to.

SPEAKER_03

Yeah. You never know who you're talking to, dude. Any uh you got any stories of your own?

SPEAKER_01

Um, I don't have anything like you know, like grand or anything, but you know, I've been like sitting in a room by myself. You know, I'll hear a knock or um I'll hear creaking. I've heard my name before. Uh like to the point where I've you know opened up my bedroom door and like, what do you want? And they're like, we didn't say anything. Um but probably like the and this isn't like anything scary, but it was just so odd. Like even in the circumstances, like it made sense, but it was so like kind of cryptic as it was happening. Yeah. Um I used to want to be a storm chaser really bad when I was younger. And there was one year that we had a really bad story.

SPEAKER_03

Keep, hey, hey, keep hey, keep talking. I'm gonna I I've got you in my ears. I'm gonna get I'm gonna get me a talent. Keep talking. Okay.

SPEAKER_01

Um and I went to go drive around town in my 88 Chevy pickup. So it's it's old, has problems. But it it has like no AC, no heater. So I was able to like really feel the weather. So I rolled down my windows. I'm driving around town, and I go to the west side of town, and I see the storm coming, and it's it's moving fast. It is pitch blackout. Um wind is picking up, rain starting to fall. So I start heading back east so that I can get on Main Street, head south, um, because I live on that section of town. And as I'm heading east, I turn down a southbound on one of the sh side streets. So it's got a big hill, and I've all I've I used to l love always hitting the bottom of that hill because it had a little bump, and my truck has like zero suspension, so I bounce for a while. I was like, Oh, this would be really cool during the storm. Right. Well, as I'm turning onto this street, as I'm getting close to one of the street lights, it goes out.

SPEAKER_02

Ooh boy.

SPEAKER_01

Down the road a little further, the next one goes out right as I get to it. No. I go down this street a little further, the next one goes out as I get to it. This continued down the entire street. What? I turned to the I turn east and it stops. I have no idea why that happened because I was looking around. Every other street had lights on. Oh my god. As I'm driving down it. Nothing happened. It was just so weird and like almost creepy as it was happening. I don't know if it was a sign. I don't know if it was just electrical issues with the storm. But something about driving under a street lamp and it shuts off in the pitch black of a storm, that will send chills up your spine.

SPEAKER_03

Dude, that's crazy, man. Just the timing of that, you know?

SPEAKER_01

Yeah. And it was literally every single time I got right to it, it was shut off. Right to it, shut off.

SPEAKER_03

That's crazy, dude.

SPEAKER_01

Boom. Like if I was trying to shoot that in a movie, I would never get it to work. Couldn't it happen to me just on a normal day? Let's go, man. Well, um, yeah. I mean, not super scary, nothing suspensable, but just creepy in the moment, you know.

SPEAKER_03

Yeah, yeah. Yeah. I like I dig that, man. I love hearing people's like I love like a sit around the bonfire, like somebody tell a scary story. Like, that's that's heaven for me. Like it's it's it's a nice cool, like it's nighttime. It's about eight o'clock at night. Everybody's around the bonfire, got your beanies on, got your flannel on, roasting some weenies, marshmallows, and then somebody tells us that guy, like, that's heaven for me, man. Like, I love that, man. Okay, and we are back. Apologies, everyone, if this edit sounds a little odd and a little different. That's because this is the first episode where we had to do an edit. Because your boy, old town south here, um, he um he didn't he wasn't doing so good yesterday. And I was just talking. I got the sicky, and uh, I was just talking to my buddy here, Bat behind stage. Y'all can probably already tell a difference in my voice now compared to my voice last night. So sorry, everybody. Tried to push through. Uh basically I was trying to talk. I was trying to go through the motions, and uh I I was noticing every time I was trying to speak or say something, I felt a little upchuck come in, and let's just say uh that came to fruition about 10 minutes later after I pushed the stop recording button. Bad, I know I talked to you, I know I talked to you about it a little bit, but first of all, I haven't gotten sick like that in in a while. But when I was little, anytime I would get a headache, sometimes it would turn into like me getting sick and throwing up. It's been a while, but that happened last night, and what made it worse was we had uh, well, let me say this. I had played with Fallen earlier in the day yesterday, and I asked him, I said, What are you having for supper, man? And he's like, I think I'm gonna have some biria tacos. I'm like, ooh, that sounds really good. So that's what I had for supper. And then the local Mexican restaurant, they give you uh, they don't pour it on it, but they give you like this little side container of what's called Diablo sauce. And uh it is exactly as it sounds. It is the devil's sauce, it is a hot salsa, and I like hot stuff. And I uh dip, sometimes I'll dip my birry of tacos in that salsa, and dude, that uh I think you know where this story's heading. Um we stopped we stopped recording last night. Uh I had to hit the bathroom and I was having an exorcism over the porcelain. I started throwing up, dude. And um that hot salsa, not to go, not to gross anybody out, but like that hot salsa came back up through my throat and it even came out my I can smell now. I can smell very well.

SPEAKER_02

I think that cleared out the statuses pretty good. Buddy, that cleaned it out.

SPEAKER_03

And uh Jesus, dude. I was like, the bame. Usually I'm a guy, like I'll throw up, I'll get it done, I'll get it over with, and be like, okay, I'm back, I'm good. Well, not last night. That came. There was something extra with that last night with that hot sauce. I have never that was an enlightening experience. All right. Enough about old town and my digest enough about me and my digestive issues and my migraine issues. Man, um, so basically, that last night, kind of picking up where we left off, we was gonna kind of immediately get into vault breakers and we was gonna kind of start talking about the patch. I think let's uh let's pause for a second and let's just kind of talk about some of our war stories. You know, we're sitting here right now, it's it's Sunday, the August the 9th, and we played uh Me You and uh Rise of Con. We played a lot of games Friday night. Dude, I tell you what, man, that was really fun. Uh that was just one of those nights, man, where it was kind of like a little friendly reminder, like, hey, this is why we play marathon, you know, this is why we game, and it was just such a fun night, man. Um, I mean, we had moments where I mean, we had Ragda Rich's games where we um we were going in on Outpost with free kits, and uh we were actually beating teams, and we were taking their gear and actually coming out with with profit. It was just we just had so much fun, dude. And uh even in the games, like I I was very happy that everybody's um momentum and mindset was staying happy because like even in the ones we were losing, we were still having fun, we were still cutting up and laughing and joking. Uh dude, uh we accomplished a really big goal. We we got into a vault, and we got out on cryo, like that was like the real not not verb vault, not vault breakers, the real thing, and that is something kind of back a couple of episodes ago, especially around the beginning of season two. We was kind of like talking about goals and what are things we want to accomplish. You was talking about profiteer, you was talking about, you know, advancing uh feeding the worms and that being kind of your thing that you really want to tap into. I know one of my goals was I was like, I want to get into a vault. I it's okay if I don't get the compiler, I don't even have that high expectations, but I want to get into at least one vault and get out to say I did it. Well, that that was officially the technically the third one because there was a day where I'd say this has been about two or three weeks ago where I linked up with Fallen and one of his friends, and they helped run me through uh vaults one and two. And it was great, and it was awesome meeting the goal then and there. But there was this little piece of is of me still missing inside. I was like, okay, now that I've done it with them, but they really knew what they were doing. Let me see if I can take me and Bat and another friend in there, and we can kind of figure it out and see if we can do it together. Bat, I'm happy to say Friday night, we did it, man. We got in there, we made good decisions, we were aware, we had a little good of good luck run our way, we successfully gathered all the batteries, and we got into Vault 1. Somebody got the Dervish, I got the gold backpack, and we got out, dude. It was awesome. Any thoughts on that match?

SPEAKER_01

Um, so just for a little bit of context, before going into this cryo run, I was gonna use one of my six free kits that I have sitting in my vault. Because I don't go into cryo ever, but I claim the thing just in case. And I heard Old Town say, I'm gonna I'm gonna run some stuff. I'm gonna I'm gonna take some stuff in to increase our chances. I said, okay, so we're going in. We're going in, right? We're in. I tell you what, I put in all of my gold things that I had. Three implants, two cores, my only gold shield, my only gold backpack. Um I had a gold bert, and I took in a purple, a blue magnum.

SPEAKER_05

Mm-hmm.

SPEAKER_01

We went in. Um RyzeCon actually followed suit, and he put on a gold backpack and a gold shield. Um, and he had a gold M77. To be honest with you, I think that there were several times where we got pinged by a recon on an enemy team, and they saw two gold shields, and honestly, I don't think that's I think that's why they didn't push us.

SPEAKER_05

Mm-hmm.

SPEAKER_01

I could be wrong, but I do think that that played a major part in us not getting pushed. I think it did too. Well, you think about it when you're go ahead. Like, in my mindset, like if I see a gold, I'm like, mm-hmm. I don't know.

SPEAKER_03

I don't know if I want to. Do we want to? Do we not want to?

SPEAKER_01

And that's if I see one gold. If I see two or three, I'm like, uh-uh, nope, go away. Stay over there. You're fine. Um, but I mean, not saying that that's the only reason that we made it out. I do think that we made a lot of really good decisions. There were times where we were coming up on an area and we would hear somebody and we'd just say, okay, let's let's go this way. Let's push away from them, stay away. We're we're here for one thing, we're gonna do it, we're gonna get out. And we we kept that together and we did it. Um It was it was really cool to actually do that in the regular game. Yes. But I do want to shout out Vault Breakers because without it, I don't think I would have been able to do it. That's a great segue.

SPEAKER_03

No prior knowledge. Yes, that's a great segue. We can kind of segue into Vault Breakers. I will say from there, uh kind of piggybacking off some of your comments. That's another thing that I failed to mention that we done a great job of. Like there was moments where we kind of we had a goal in mind and we had an objective. And I I kind of remember saying before I kind of remember saying beforehand, like, hey, like we don't have to we don't have to fight the lobby. We don't have to get into these 50-50 hardcore matchups. Like, if there's an opportunity to tuck, tail, and run and just ro rotate to a different position to get away from a team, let's do it. And there was a moment like where, like you said, we we knew there was a recon. We we knew we was getting pinged. We knew they were close because we were hearing gunshots and footsteps. And we you could tell we were all tense and up and getting ready to fight. And I remember, and this was in control, by the way. And there was a moment where I was just like, hey, whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa, like, let's go. Let's let the vault vault one is in revival. Let's just go to revival and let's see if they follow. And they they didn't. And I I think that we have discovered the key, no pun intended. I think we've discovered the key to how going forward, how we can get into vaults. Because we know we're the underdogs in these fights, because like that's where the ballers come to play, is cryo. Those are like you said it yourself, those are the guys with the miseryas, most everybody, it it's not Phil squads, it's it's party squads, everybody, you know, three stacks. You don't hardly ever see blue shields. I mean, it's purple and above. They're bringing guns that they're comfortable with. You know, if you get in a fight, it's going to be a brawl. It's going to be a fight. Yeah. And I think we've discovered our play style potentially in there. Like, hey, fight when we have to. If our back's against the wall, we will fight. If we see somebody and we know they're in a terrible position, let's take advantage of them. But other than that, if we got keys, I'm thinking like we just sneak around the map bat, we do our thing, and we get out. And we've done a great job, I mean, and transitioning into vault breakers. That is thanks to vault breakers. Um, I think some people, you know, and I still think some people have like some mixed feelings on it. That's okay, though. Vault breakers appeals to different audiences and different people. Like if you're someone that if you're someone that's already been there and done that with cryo, you've got compiler clears or you've got a lot of clears and vaults or whatever. Like, yeah, like what is Vault Breakers really offering you besides an an actual opportunity at guaranteed keys and guaranteed gold guns. Other than that, there's really almost no other incentive. And there there is like resources, but I'm gonna start. I'm gonna take a i io. This is my opinion and my opinion only. Yeah, I'll kind of fire out the gates here and I'll say I absolutely love vault breakers. It's still going on. Uh, it's been extended to August 18th, and that was cool because I took a little mini vacation, and uh, it's cool that I could got a little more time in there, but like the main thing I have already gotten out of vault breakers is you said it yourself, uh the experience just to be able to go in there and finally take a breath, really look around, digest everything. Because you know, you know, in the past, Bat, when me and you have been in cryo, we're we're following, we're we're trying our best to keep up with Fallen, we're we're we're following him every step of the way, we're we're fighting other players. But we wasn't I I'm gonna speak for me. I don't know about you, but I'm gonna speak for me. But I really wasn't taking in, okay, what are we doing though? Where are we at? How did we get here? What does this do? What does that do? Vaultbreakers provided that for me. Vaultbreakers challenged me to be like, okay, go figure this out for yourself, go get used to where things are. And I already feel so much more confident in cryo archive now than I like, like it's not even close. PvP is still gonna be PvP, and it's still gonna, and I I'm still gonna, I'm still gonna be the underdog when it comes to PvP, but as far as like contributing to a team, helping find batteries, helping finding coolant, just having a general idea of where things are, knowing how to X fill, like I got all that now. And I I could not provide that to the team before. Any thoughts on some things I've said?

SPEAKER_01

Um, I think you pretty much nailed it all. Um, I one thing I will say is that I think we hit this kind of the nail on the head a long time ago in one of the older podcasts. Um, right when Vaultbreakers was kind of just a concept. But one thing to remember is that these ads hit hard. Their tracking is ridiculous, they will map you across the room.

SPEAKER_03

Yeah.

SPEAKER_01

Um so it I mean it is nice to like, like you said, take a breath, but one of the things that I really had that I I'm still kind of struggling with, but I'm getting better at is like if I go into a brand new location, like if I spawn in bio and I go over to preservation, before I start looking around, I have got to kill those ads. Clear out that room first. Yeah. It's you can't just run into a room, grab a uh terminal or a battery. You gotta kill those ads. I have been downed and had my run ended so many times just because I didn't clear out the room. Yeah. So that's that's a lesson that I can say I would like to pass on to people. Um it's it's rough. But once you get used to it, they're really easy to run. Um but I've learned so much in there. Uh battery spawns, terminal locations, scanner spots. Um I've been in the Panapticon so many times.

SPEAKER_03

Yes.

SPEAKER_01

Uh one thing I wanted to share.

SPEAKER_03

Uh I didn't even know I I'm gonna just a very brief second. I didn't even know what that was until Vaultbreakers. I I I was like, oh, this is this room. This is what this is.

SPEAKER_01

I had never even heard, seen, nothing. Yeah. I didn't even know there was a room up there. I just thought it was decoration.

SPEAKER_03

It's the little things. Like just being just having because one thing that did not change, there are set there's several little micro details that is different from vault breakers and the real thing. But one thing that is not different is when you break into the vault in both modes, the spawns, the term the the the the symbols that was a point of almost anxiety for me. Because like even when I would run with Fallen and his buddy, like I wasn't contributing to the symbols. I just didn't know really what was going on. I didn't know where they were. I was just like follow- like yes, yes, sir. And I was just following. Vault breakers provided me the opportunity to like go into the vault and be like, oh, the symbol is ribs, go find them and interact with them. Like, I know vault one like the back of my hand. I know where I can do it in my sleep. I know there's one to the far left, I know there's one to the far right, and I know there's one in the middle, and you have to shoot the green button to deactivate the cryo, the cook the the freeze floor, and then you can activate that to end you and you're in. Like I literally know it like the back of my hand. And I even have an idea, like a general, because we've done it so many times, I have a general idea of like where to look for them. Like even if I don't know the vault real good, I kind of know where to look now for them.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah. They all kind of follow the same similar pattern. They might throw in a curveball in one of them, but they're all basically the same premise. Absolutely. Vault two, I've ran enough that I can I can run that one in the back of my hand too.

SPEAKER_03

You know, in our in our real in our real attempt, you know, we were feeling good about ourselves, you know, we attempted Vault 2. And we were close, man. We were on track. We were doing everything correctly. Unfortunately, you know, we just uh we couldn't we couldn't win the PvP against the team that challenged us. But it was close. Like I like it wasn't an absolute spanking. Like I I did a lot of poke damage to them. I I think when I got in that 1v1 with that recon where I went down, my shields. I need to go back and watch the tape. My shields must not have been full health because I had an M77. I peppered that recon. I don't know what sh what that player was using on me, but they just downed me first. And it was one of those moments where I'm like, ooh, I know your health is so low right now. But you know, unfortunately, you know, that you were all you were down already, and then that put RyzeCon in a in a 1v3. That's very difficult to do in Cryo Archive. Of course, we wiped. But you know, I I can con I I feel pretty good about like had we not had to fight that team, that we were on the correct pathing to breaking into Vault 2, and we almost knocked out two in one night, man. Yeah.

SPEAKER_01

So um I was gonna say just this isn't really like a little war story, but um last night I decided to run a Vault Breakers match by myself because the solos is now available, and it is a little bit easier. Not not a lot, but it's not as intensive as it was before when it you'd have to load into trios and it was just yourself. Right. Um, because they made adjustments for solo players. But uh one of the things right off the bat, I had the best RNG I've ever had in Cryo, even on Vault Breakers, for security. I had terminals everywhere. I had tags dropping in the regular um little things that the UESC dropped, not just the purple guys, I mean just the little ones. Um all in all, I ended up doing Vault 2, and then while like I went around and I just collected as much security as I could first, because I was like, okay, if I hit several vaults, I want to have max security. Yeah. I ended up getting to level five. And I went to go fill the cryo coolant, and I opened the sealed container underneath that cryo section, and I pulled out a biotoxic disinjector.

SPEAKER_03

Nice, dude.

SPEAKER_01

Obviously, in Vault Breakers, you don't get to keep it, but I've now done that. I know exactly what it looks like. So if we ever get to security five in a regular game, I can take us there and we can get the 40,000 credit thing.

SPEAKER_03

Nice, dude. That was cool. Yeah, it's good to it. I mean, aga again, we kind of keep coming back to the point of like vault break. We we know what to do now. We know if you have security clearance five, you can go down to the middle of uh control in that pit, and that's how you get that item that's worth so much money. And it gives it to everybody.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah.

SPEAKER_03

Cryo! I mean, it was just fun, dude, playing with you guys Friday. Like we just even the one where we died, it like we was like, hey, you know, it's all good, you know, it's fine. It like we under we just understood that we we just didn't win the PvP, but like it was just fun. It was just there's just I think there's just a level of confidence with me and you now that we have versus we were just to a degree almost having to blindly follow whoever we were playing with, you know, just you know living on a prayer, you know. Um not to say that we in the past okay, not to say that we weren't contributing, because we 100% were. I mean, there were, you know, we in our past episodes we talked about how like we wiped enemy teams on cryo, like we contributed to the PvP, but transversal around the map, doing things, I think that's where our struggle was. Like how to actually get the the mechanics of how to actually get into these vaults is where we're uh or at least where my struggle was. Yeah.

SPEAKER_01

Bat there's um go ahead. Sorry, I just wanted to mention uh Coco reminded me a while back of like the first time that we went in and how we were creeping everywhere. We were just we were going so slow, and I mean it was probably 15 minutes left on the match, and we had just now made it out of the second room. It's true.

SPEAKER_03

Those days are long gone. Those days are long gone. But you know, how cool is it to say we were there night one of cryo archive? We were there, we did it. It was with Coco. It was live streamed. Uh we we didn't compete very well, but we can look back, but we can look back and say, like, hey, we contributed. We were there the very first night cryo archive became available. That's a cool thing to say. Yeah.

unknown

Okay, go ahead.

SPEAKER_03

There's been so many war stories, dude. I know I'm gonna miss some. Quite frankly. We've slept, I've slept I've uh I've slept a lot since then, and uh, it's quite frankly, it's it's been a while since there's been a lot of gaps between when we've recorded episode 13 to right now. A couple of things that stands out to me that I had um there was a moment where me, Atlas, and Coco was playing on perimeter, and this this this clip is on TikTok. I think I did it on YouTube too, but I know it's on TikTok, and it was just a cool sequence of like we were chasing a team, they like ran out, they ran out somewhere, and then Atlas was like, I bet they're going towards this X-Fill. I think it was in like North Relay, something like that. Yeah, no, South. South relay. And we we we knew it's where it was, and it was that X-Fill where they had to run out on the catwalk. And I had a V66, and he had a sniper, and I was and they had and they sure enough, they activated the X-Fill, so we knew they were there. And it was just such a cool moment of like the stars aligned, the plan we had in place worked. Sure enough, that full team, and they were blues, they weren't greens, they weren't grays, they were blues. They ran out going towards the catwalk. Coco was kind of like a distraction. They saw her, they started shooting at her, and then then Atlas just started lighting them dudes up on that catwalk, and we downed like all of them. It was just such a cool moment, just the plan. We predicted what they were gonna do, and then we executed the plan. And then, of all things, a random John Rook shot his shot, and he he tried to run up on us because Coco was down, and and Atlas was reviving her, so it was just me, and I and he actually Atlas saw the rook first. He's like, Oh town, it's a rook, it's a rook, and I had the battle pistol. This is when it was cracked at the time. I was like, hell no, not this time. And I pulled out that battle pistol and I gunned him down like a dog, and I ran up to him and I flipped on I flipped on Proc's chat and I said, Not this time, John Rook. Batman sends his regards.

SPEAKER_01

Put that knife in his chest. He said, true Batman 44, 44. He made sure it was known. I made sure it's my favorite clip of Old Town of all time. It's so good.

SPEAKER_03

I made sure that Rook remembers what he did to my buddy Batman. I was I saw what you did. This is like an anime flashback where the screen goes great.

SPEAKER_02

I saw what you did. Do you remember what you did? He was just on sponsored survival. He was just trying to get jail. Don't don't you lie. I know, I remember what you did to my friend. Do you have any remorse?

SPEAKER_00

No, no, because you're dead.

SPEAKER_03

Oh god, this is what you deserve. Oh, dude. It was very satisfying, man. And it was a uh it was I I had fun with that clip and it was really cool. So another funny little war store moment was Friday night. I mean, there were several moments that was great, but for anybody that has seen the TikTok video on the YouTube, but maybe here's more context to that. It's so I so I'm the guy, like, and I don't, and I truly, from the bottom of my heart, don't mind being the player that doesn't get as much loot as the other players. Like, especially like, I just have this thing where like if I didn't contribute much to the fight, I just I can't. I it's it's a me thing. Even when my teammates are okay with it, I'm just like, no, no, no. You guys did most of the work. You guys take most of this loot, take what you want off these bodies. You know, I'll guard and watch. Even sometimes in the past, when we've gone into the red key room and outpost, I'm like, you know what? Hey, you guys, I'll do like I'll I'll kind of walk around the room. I'll usually take the guaranteed spawn cryo key. I'll take the credits, but I usually let my teammates really have first dibs at the at the strong at the pills or the strong boxes and let them take what they want. And I'll just kind of honestly watch out for enemy teams, I'll watch out for rooks. I just I don't mind being that player because I know how important it is for somebody to stand guard and watch, you know. Uh the the past has taught us to do this, like somebody really does need to stand guard. Well, to two down one up. We've you uh as you mentioned, bat, two down one up. Um Friday night, though. Oh, this was the one moment where uh that that all changed. Basically, we went into the context, everybody. We were playing outpost. This was a zero to hero. I think at this point we had done knocked off one team, so we had a deal, we had some, yeah, yeah, because I think like one of the teams we knocked off had three red keys, and we were like, oh baby. We were like, old baby, and uh we went up into we got into pinwheel.

SPEAKER_01

This was a free kit run, by the way.

SPEAKER_03

Yeah, this is a free kit run. We got into the room, and I know, and it was with you and Ryzicon, and I noticed I was like, okay, both of them ran right past the first strong box. I'm like, okay, I'm gonna look in there. And dude, this will never I I I'm almost willing to lay down a hundred dollars right here, right now. Get 100 gifted subs to the community. Um, this will never happen to me again. I opened up that strong box, dude, and I and then there there popped one gold core. I'm like, ooh, oh, and then popped another. I was like, oh, and then popped a third gold. I'm like, oh I opened that strong box, dude, and three golds appeared. It was a a recon core, a triage core, and a gold mod for the M77, which I still do have that. A gold mod for the M77. That will never happen to me again. And there was a moment where I was just, and I think there was a whole lot. I wish I'd have caught this. I wish I'd have put this in the TikTok, but I think there was a moment where I was like, Junk, anything good.

SPEAKER_01

He muted himself the moment he opened that box. Here's the best part, and I still can't get over this because it it just it lines up so well. Let me start by saying I'm proud of Old Town for finally being greedy. I'm so happy he was because I'm I'm so greedy myself, but with a purpose, I'm trying to get profiteer. After that, everybody can have everything. I don't care. Yeah, yeah. But the fact that it was Ryzicon playing a triage, and he gets a triage gold core. Uh-huh. I'm playing Recon, he gets a Recon Gold Core, and then he gets a gold M77 mod. So, in all actuality, all three of us could have benefited from one pill. But he did the thing, he was greedy for once, and I love him for it. And he said, No, this is mine. But the fact that it was so beneficial to all of us kills me. Makes it even funnier. But no, it had to be the exact same uh trio that we were running, and I it kills me in some way.

SPEAKER_03

Oh my god, dude. That that's one for the memory books. That's um I I will not do that again. Um, that was my one moment. I chose extreme greed. And uh and I love how like the match was over, and I was like, hey guys, I have a confession to make.

SPEAKER_02

As soon as you said it, I'm like, oh no. Oh no. There was uh three. I'm like, what? There was a little bit more of that pill than you might have thought it was.

SPEAKER_01

Oh my god. Oh man. I've run outposts enough that I've actually gotten into uh a routine where I don't look at the pills first because I want the thing that's worth credits. So I will go over to that corner and I will see if it's a 4,000 or God forbid, if I'm lucky, it's the gold um, the twins thing. I still need three of those for my codex. Right. But I'll let everybody else pick through as long as I get the credit thing. Because I'm going for profiteer. Yes. If I wasn't going for profiteer, yeah, give me give me something in the in the pill, but I I don't care. I'll let everybody pick through, get what they want, and then I'll take the scraps. I'm not mean like that. I don't even take the resource anymore, like the uh violin seed or whatever it is. Yes. That's sitting there. I don't even take that anymore. Yeah, I just want the credits.

SPEAKER_03

Is that the big, would you say, you know, season three is gonna roll around. It's I think it's like September 21st, or it's sometime in September when we're gonna get season three, which how crazy is it? Uh we're gonna blink and that's gonna be here.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah.

SPEAKER_03

Like we're gonna blink and it's gonna be September, and it's gonna be time for season three. It's gonna be time to start draining the vault and like putting everything on the line to get ready for the new season. Like, it's that we're gonna blink, and that's gonna be here. Dude, actually, I gotta I gotta comment real quick.

SPEAKER_01

What you got? I I fed my worms last night a whole bunch of stuff. Uh oh, what'd you do? I realized that the Arachne-sponsored kit was in the in the free slot yesterday. I had enough room in my vault to get 70 of them. Oh my gosh. I can run free kits for the rest of the season and not worry about it. I am running zero to hero the rest of the season. I'm so excited. This is let me tell you something. That magnum is hitting hard right now. I have been putting bodies down left and right with that thing. It's so good.

SPEAKER_03

I'm looking through my I'm looking through my notes right now. I I want to say, didn't the Magnum get a little bit of a buff?

SPEAKER_01

I'm gonna say that it did, even if we didn't get any like info on it, because even from two weeks ago when I was playing, by the way, I was on call, so I haven't touched it in a week since Friday. It it it started performing way better from those two weeks ago to Friday. Yeah. Like I don't know if there was a shadow patch, maybe, but it's hitting hard. Like I was there were several games where I almost wiped an entire team by myself.

SPEAKER_03

Yeah, it if it if there might have been a shadow buff that took place, it it it either I it I'm not seeing it in the notes right here. That's not to say it actually didn't happen, though. I don't know. I wish I had that information, but I agree with you. Uh the Magnum, it's feeling good. The mag's feeling good.

SPEAKER_01

It's feeling really good.

SPEAKER_03

So here's like some things we know. Like we know the D-54 battle pistol, we know it got nerfed. We know the Mizzy slightly, huh? Spoiler, it's still really good. But we know the Mizzy took a little slight nerf. The bully SMG took a little. It's still fine, it's still great. Um, it took a little bit of a nerf to the drum mag. Still fine. Still still spoiler, still S tier. Um Volt thrower, that's uh that's gonna be a that that's that's a what we'll talk about that later. But the Volt Thrower got a buff and it got a nerf, and that's that's had a wild story. So yeah, I'm not seeing anything on the the mag, but I think it might have got a little something, something, because it's filmed good. Um that I wanna I this is the this is the you know, you hear me talk about the squirrel moment, and this is the squirrel moment for me. If I don't say this now, I don't I I don't know if I'll remember to say it. And this really pertains to you. I'm gonna keep it real, dude. So we were introduced talking about the worms. We were taught we were introduced to the cradle evolution system in the mid-season patch, where Bungie showed off that you can, you know, you can re- you can essentially Call of Duty prestige, reset all your stats back to zero, you can build them back up, and you'll have plus one the next time with and and it's gonna go faster. Like, you know, you get um maybe you have increased progression. Okay, uh this is this could turn into a pretty big conversation here. I think I'm gonna start with a potential hot take. Uh I this I just don't know, dude. Okay, unless you here's my hot take. Unless you are a player that you're you really we talk about Johnny 40 hour a lot. You just get to play the the crap out of this game every week. You get to log in 40 plus hours on this game. If you're either that guy or you're a very skilled player, like you you you was talking about this off actually on stream Friday. Unless you're a very skilled player that runs the piss out of cryo archive and you just don't lose your fights, you're always breaking into vaults, you're always stealing the stuff from the bodies you, you know, the the the enemy runners that you defeat, and you're just you're coming out with constant purples, golds, and even reds if if you do compiler runs. I'm gonna keep it real with you, Bat. My hot take is casual i if if our cradle system progression does not, key word, does not uh carry over into season three. I'm sorry, the casuals are not getting to uh prestige seven, evolution seven with the worms. Forget about it. Of it's not like and I I I I'm almost willing. This is this might really be a hot take here. I'm almost willing to take it a step further. Is it even worth it? Is it even freaking worth it? I did learn through um one of Fallen's friends, I think I've been giving the wrong things to the worms. He his friend was like, dude, cheap resources, gel, biomass. Yes, that's where it's at. He was like, That's the that's the things to give to the worms. I have confirmed this information. Yes, I that is I I've been getting it wrong. Like I've been giving like guns to the worms, shields, and this and that, when I should have been giving resources to the worms. But I love my resource. But see, but that leads into a whole nother dilemma. You gotta make a choice. Do you prioritize your faction upgrades, which are very beneficial to you, or do you prioritize giving those very valuable resources to the worms? It's it it it it it's I don't know about you, I have been at conflict a lot with the cradle system this season. I like the cradle, the cradle's fun, and I'm glad it got introduced, but I have I have found myself in these dilemmas like hey, I kind of really want to keep this gun, and I want to use this gun in a regular match, but daggum it, I'm so close to getting the next level on my cradle system. You know what I mean? Does that make sense? Oh yeah. Um and like and the last thing I'll say and I want you in I'll I want you to take over again, casual uh ca guys like you and I, um we ain't getting. We we ain't we're not getting. We're not getting if it don't carry over mid season cradle evolution, that's not enough time. But I will stop I will say for Budgie, that's for guys like you and I, if this if now it's different if it does carry over. Okay, it'll make a little more sense now, but like if this which I'm under the impression, bad, this is not gonna carry over. I'm under the impression it's only like codex things that carries over to the next in in in cosmetics. Um I don't uh like I said in unless you're one of them two guys, like I don't even know, I don't even think it's feasible to get to get to Evolution 7. And for guys like us, we like it feels like we have to give every single thing we have to get the to have a chance at getting there, and then it's and then it then that leads into another debate like, is it even worth it? Are you having fun in your matches because you're constantly having to run free kits because you're just giving everything to the worms? I hope I've made all this kind of make sense, where we have we have maybe, in my opinion, found ourselves in an interesting dilemma with the worms, and you really have to make casuals like you and I, with limited time, really have to make a choice on what our goals are. Like, do we really do we want do we do we want to focus on the cradle? And do we really want to focus on them stats? Do we want to focus on don't really care about that and just having fun with the gear that we get? Do we want to sell it for credits? Do we need credits? Do we want to prioritize our do we want to prioritize our resources for the faction upgrades? I don't know, dude. I think you get what I'm coming around too. So I'm gonna I'm gonna shut up and I'm I'm gonna listen to you.

SPEAKER_01

Um just just for clarification so that I I'm understanding it correctly. When you say progression, are you talking about your prestige numbers or your cradle being full at the start of next season?

SPEAKER_03

So I'm interested in so I am currently right now let's just call we'll use Call of Duty terms. I'm prestige one in the cradle system. When I start talking about next season, I'm curious, will I still be prestige? Will they even will the carry will the cradle system even be there in season three? Okay, if the cradle will continue to be there in season three, uh will I still be prestige one uh in the cradle system in season three, or is it all gonna truly go back to zero?

SPEAKER_01

That's what I mean. So in the codex, if you read the text message, it does state prestige one, two, three, four in any season. So with that in mind, I am under the impression that if for some reason, somehow, I got to prestige level four, at the beginning of next season, I should have 73 points available to me when I start the season, but I do have to fill the cradle back up to use them. Okay. But I think that at level seven, the gold box that's available might only be doing it all in one season.

unknown

Okay.

SPEAKER_01

I am not a hundred percent sure, obviously, I'm not a game dev, and I don't read very often, but um I I would kind of put that against the weight of like, you know, everybody was upset about the possibility of people beating compiler and getting the cryo skin in vault breakers. Correct. No, if I if I fed those worms and I got to prestige level four this season, I better have prestige four next season. Period. I earned that.

unknown

Right.

SPEAKER_03

And I and you're okay. What you just said, I'm gonna really key in on that. You're very passionate about you have strong feelings. I earned, I fed a lot of gear that I would have what I'm essentially hearing you say is I fed a lot of gear to the worms in season two. Perhaps I would love to have kept a lot of that gear and used it in my regular matches, but I chose to give it to the worms. I better still be Prestige 4 or Evolution 4 in season three. I don't know that. I don't know if that's gonna carry over, which leads me to my top what that that's that that that rallies around what I was talking about. Holy crap, if it doesn't bat I know it there there that there's gonna it's not hot take. Hot hot take. This could be a scorching hot take. It's not worth it. Especially to casuals, like don't invest in the cradle. Like, get like like Matt, like get it, get it one time, like get get to level 70, but don't don't prestige one. Just stay where you are, stay where you are.

SPEAKER_01

Um, yeah, I think honestly, there there would be a lot of outrage from the community if they do that. If they're going to completely delete the cradle system, you better give me a heads up so I stop doing it.

SPEAKER_03

I like that. I personally like that. Like, I I I even me, and you take the cradle system even more seriously than I do, like, I also would like a heads up. Hey, this is not even this is not gonna carry over into season three. I'm gonna I would seriously stop right here, right now.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah, if if there was a tweet or uh you know an X post tomorrow that says, hey, you know what, the cradle system was fun, but we're not gonna do this next season. I will literally stop today. And I won't even care if I'm in the middle of a of a level. I will never give anything to the worms. I'll start selling everything for credits.

SPEAKER_03

Yeah, because then you can just start working towards your profiteer.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah, which I'm not gonna lie, I think I might have bit off a little more Nike Chew this season. Trying to do both the cradle and profiteer. But, buddy, I'm close to profiteer. I am 200,000 away. I'm gonna make it.

SPEAKER_03

What does swear? It we we talk, and uh, it also alludes to my discussion of like casuals like you and I, we have to make a choice. Like, can yeah, yeah, I I can confidently say, Bat, you would have done been there at Profiteer had it not be for the worms. I'm not saying I'm not saying that's a bad thing. I'm not saying the worms are a bad thing. I'm just saying you would have no no question about it, you would have gotten your profiteer already if it weren't for the worms.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah. Honestly, if I could go back to the start of the season, I would probably do things a lot differently. Knowing what I know now, I would have prioritized prioritized things a little differently. Um, don't get me wrong, I'm happy with where I'm at, but I think I did end up inadvertently making things harder for myself. Um I think everybody kind of knew that was gonna happen, even at the beginning of this season when I said, Yeah, the other cradle's getting filled. Um, but I've had a lot of fun this season. Like a lot. There's definitely games where I'm like, oh, that was bull. Or man, that sucked.

SPEAKER_05

Yeah.

SPEAKER_01

But I've I've had a lot of fun this season. Um, you know, Dire March coming out. Sponsored survival is still my favorite mode. I hope it comes back, and I can't wait to play more of it. Um, Vault Breakers has been amazing. The gun meta switch was great this season. Um, I'm gonna be sad when I see the Magnum get nerfed into the ground. But I hope it doesn't. I I have a feeling it's coming. It's so powerful right now. Dude, I'm killing purple shields in trios on vault breakers like they're nothing. Dang. It hits so hard. Um but profiteer's still in the works. I'm gonna get it done. I don't care. Um You got time. Yeah, I've got time. I feel it slipping away though. Um so it's like I'm really gonna have to start pouring into it. This last week I played a lot of Minecraft just because I was on call. Um, and I never know when I'm gonna get pulled away, so I don't want to be in the middle of like a cryo match and then all of a sudden have to leave because that's not right for the people that I'm playing with.

SPEAKER_03

Totally understand. And I understand it in in a different way. That's how I kind of am with like streaming and stuff, because I've been asked like old town, why don't you should stream more? Trust me, I'd love to. I I I my on-call is my son. Um there's just a time, there's just times where it's like I'm here, I can play a little bit, but I'm not really here because like my son may need me or my wife may need me to help out with with with the baby at any time. So yeah, yeah. That's why that's the biggest reason why I don't and just full-time job, honestly. Not uh eight eight to eight to five, eight to five, eight, eight to four, eight to five. Six to six. Just uh six to six, man.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah, just full-time job. I love it.

SPEAKER_03

And um, I'm just I'm I'm very thankful, very thankful for for my wife. You know, she just she continues to allow me to have my Friday night, you know, uh Friday night gaming night, you know.

SPEAKER_01

Can we get a shout out for old town's wife? Yes, clap it up for old town, yes. I've got to tell her she gets a shout out. Autumn, you are amazing. Keep it going, keep that baby safe.

SPEAKER_03

Yeah, we love you. Yeah, we definitely do. And uh she I I appreciate her very much for just like being like, hey, you go, you have your Friday night gang night. If if he's screaming bloody murder, I got it. Yeah, and I know in a big situation, like I've told her, like, hey, come get me in here. Whatever I'm doing, if you really need me, come get me. So yeah, very grateful for for her on that. Um, yeah, all great stuff, man. Um, interest. So I'll take this moment to kind of speak to our listeners, especially some for some of our new ones. If you're new around here and episode 14 is your first episode, you're listening to running out of breath. Hi, hi, and welcome. Hello, hello. We welcome you with open arms. Thank you for choosing us as your podcast. And I will say to some people, we got some lurkers, Bat. I've been watching the I'm watching the numbers. We got some lurkers, we got some recurring listeners that are interested in our content, but they have not emailed us. I will go and say, if anybody, please, um, if you have any thoughts on the cradle system, some of the things that we've talked about some so far, for good or bad, we welcome all opinions. Please email us, reach out to us. Pretty much every single person that has emailed us and that has reached out to us has turned into a real like a friendship. Somebody with like like Atlas Forged, Wesley Pez, Yellow Op, both these nuts, um, Xanam, Xan M, Z Tangler. I'm I I I probably miss somebody. All these all these individuals who have reached out to us via the fan mail, had they they are in our community. We have this awesome little tiny cult right now. We're like like Batman, that made me so happy last night. Like I was sitting there, like, I was sitting there feeling miserable from throwing up and having a migraine, but it made me so happy looking at my Discord, me not involved at all in seeing you, Atlas, and everybody communicating with each other. Hey, like, hey, we got a spot here, hey, we got a spot, hey, come get in on this, come get in on that. Like, that makes me it's like a little like a little ecosystem. Like, it that just I don't know if I'm finding the words to make this make sense, but like that makes me so happy that running out of breath has also created an avenue for more players without me or you even being involved, that getting connected to each other and having other fellow runners that they can trust and rely on to run with. That's that deserves a clap. That's a W. That's the if that may be the bit if there ever was, if the that may be the W of all W's. The fact that we've created a little cult community of runners, where we all cut up with each other, we laugh, and we give each other information and just they they they can just having somebody reliable to run with. And I tell everybody, I I'm I'm re I'm touching you, I'm reaching out to you. My hand is touching your hand right now. Email us, reach out to us. If you're interested in getting in our Discord, let us know. Email us, come into the live streams, come get in on our community, come be a part of it. Let your email be read live on our network. It's been a little while since we got hey, that's probably dude. That's probably my fault, just because it's been a while since we've put out some content. That's really old town's fault. But let you know, it if you want your email, we read pretty much all of our fan mail live on air. Like, let us know. Just I what I'm trying to say is like we're very down-to-earth guys. We're a lot of things, we're goobers. I'm a degenerate sometimes, uh aka taking all the gold loot out of the out of the strong box, but but one thing we are not, and I've always said this before, one thing we are not, and I think a lot of other and I think a lot of content creators are this way. Okay, hang on, that's a strong word. I'm I'll just focus on me. We are not stuck up. We are not stuck up. We'll play with anybody, we'll link up with anybody, regardless of your skill, whether if you're the highest of high skill tier, or you're just or that or marathon is your first FPS. We'll talk to anybody, we'll play with anybody. Come play with us, come play with us, come be a part of our community. Um, and we we've got people in our community with various schedules, and we're we're I I we're all I would love to get to a point in our Discord where anytime there there's there's people available almost all the time. Because I'll just be honest, I I I want to be available more than I can. I just can't. But that's why it makes me so happy that we have people in our community that's stepping up to the plate, like you, uh Atlas and Yellow and just others that's like, hey, hey, like hey, I got spots available. I got you. Come play with me. That that makes me happy. That really makes me happy. So, yes, for all new people, if you if you've been listening to us and you and you're a lurker, uh, please reach out to us. We encourage it with open arms. All right, that anything before I I'm fixing to start looking at the notes to talk about the next topic. Guy, anything you want to say about the running out of breath Colt community? Anything that I said?

SPEAKER_01

Yeah, um, as far as the fan mail goes, it doesn't have to be a a love confession or nothing, but um it could always just be like, hey, I had a really cool story that happened. Send us your war stories. I know a lot of people like us for ours. Um, it might be nice to just hear some from the community. Um share some of your heartbreak.

SPEAKER_03

Heck yeah, dude. I like that. Do you remember when Wesley shared like his big Wesley has shared like his big war? That was fun reading that.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah. Yeah. Um, you know, kind of put us in your shoes a little bit too. Um, and you don't have to be a casual player, you can be one of the top-tier guys that write something in. We're not gonna judge you.

SPEAKER_03

Yeah, I mean, yeah, yeah. We we we relate to the casuals the most, but by obvious, by all means, if there's an apex predator amongst us. Come on, let us know.

SPEAKER_02

Come on, babe, come on, bruh. So what you wait on.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah, I mean, just d don't be shy. Let us let us know. I love hearing our our fan mail. I typically get to hear it firsthand during the recordings. So for me personally, it's it's it's a joy to hear it. Um, and we hopefully look forward to hearing from you guys.

SPEAKER_03

I light up. I I you know my faces that I give when I find gold loot. Uh, there is document there, there is video documentation of of such evidence. Um I light up like a Christmas tree when my phone goes off and it says you've got fan mail. Like I light up like a Christmas tree. So it's awesome, dude. Um yeah, well, I uh we encourage that, right? I I like what you said. Yeah, feel for what you said, Bat. Yeah, please share your war stories with us. And sometimes I feel like, and and I love the format of our podcast. I feel like that sometimes I forget to talk to our people. Like, really reach out in the episodes and talk to our listeners. Like what you hear, guys, right now is really what you get with us. What you see on the that that's me, him. That there this isn't there's no agenda, there's no two-faced, there's there's no mask being put on. This is us for good or bad. This is us, and this is who we are. So if you like what you hear, please reach out to us and please come be a part of the running out of breath Colts and the running out-of-breath family. I got something else.

unknown

What you got?

SPEAKER_01

Um, I just remembered that you were talking about the uh the rook that you stabbed and and said uh true Batman sends us regards. Yeah. Um since then, I wanted to mention that I had done a stream with Rhizicon and Yellow Opt, and they challenged me to do an entire run in the voice of Batman. Um it is on my Twitch. And there's one moment where it was me versus a recon that was hiding up in a building, and I went into Prox Chat and I said, Come out here. And he almost killed me. Or no, he did down me, but Ryzicon and Yellow moved in and killed him. He was down, and I said, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait, res me. And I went up into Prox Chat and I went, Where's Rachel? So, if if you're wondering what kind of players we are, that's a really good example. We're dorks. We're we're just goobers.

SPEAKER_03

We are, but it's just really what we are, we're goobers.

SPEAKER_01

If you want to come over to my Twitch and challenge me to do an entire video or game in the Batman voice, here's my invitation. I might regret that later.

SPEAKER_03

Almost like a channel point redemption. Yeah, just don't redeem it while he's in cryo.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah, please. They're coming. It's a three-man with gold shield. They all have miszies.

SPEAKER_02

I can't do this. Alfred. Alfred, Alfred. Where is he?

SPEAKER_00

I can put the rafters.

SPEAKER_02

He knows I'm not deep, it's dark as not.

SPEAKER_03

Told me Wesley said last night, he's like, dude, if you recorded you puking live on there, that would be your biggest hit yet. If this would have, if we would have continued this last night, that probably is the moment where like you'd hear you'd hear me just start blowing chunks everywhere because of laughter. Oh man. Last night. Apologies to anybody who gets audio triggered with that. I'm so sorry. Yes, yeah. Apologies to anybody that gets audio triggered. Sorry, that's me being gross again. Sorry. There I go again, talking about me getting sick last night. I did it too, so. Okay. Um, yeah, so we've talked a lot. We've talked a lot to our other listeners and our community. We talked about some more stories, so we could probably take this opportunity to kind of get into like some nitty-gritty stuff of mid of season two and mid-season patch. Some big things that they that came along with. And I and I'll talk as if I feel like our core community, our core people probably knows some of this information I'm about to read. But hey, dude, you never know who's listening. I like to s I like to I like to talk in a way as if somebody doesn't know the information, you know, because I almost guarantee you, if we're averaging 70 downloads-ish per episode, I guarantee you there's somebody that doesn't know this information. So I mean, there could be somebody that's been on vacation for two weeks. Oh man, yeah, absolutely. So some uh things that came along with the midseason patch, I believe it was like 1.1.5. Uh, some key things. They they nerfed um they nerfed how many grenades you can bring, how many throwables. So, like, oh my gosh. The point we are now, well, I'll let me just go ahead and say it. So, for example, when you queue up in a match, you can only bring say two flushette grenades, and that's it. You can't bring like two flchettes and two heat grenades. It's just like two throwables flat in the story uh, period. They have Bungie has really cracked down on grenade spamming, and we are in a totally like, I mean, it's it's like almost entering a totally different era. I will say though, even though Bungie has made efforts to really tone down grenade spamming, and it has, I'm noticing it, because I don't play as much cryo as others do that I've played with. So like I definitely notice grenade spam is a lot less, that's my opinion. However, however, players, it's kind of like one step forward and one step back. Players have discovered that there is an upgrade. Bad if you know it, please say it. I can't remember, but there's an upgrade that basically is like, hey, if you do this upgrade, when you throw down a ammo crate, it's either a guaranteed grenade spawn or a chance. But players have discovered this, especially high-tier players, and instead of bringing in six grenades, they're like, okay, okay, bungee. So they're bringing in their own, you know, they're bringing in two grenades, that's all they're allowed to bring, but they're bringing in like six ammo crates. So they're still coming in with like eight grenades. So grenade spamming still hasn't stopped yet. It's still a thing, especially to the high-tier players, they've discovered this. I wasn't aware about it until I was given the information. I'm like, wow, okay, okay. Yeah. Any thoughts on that?

SPEAKER_01

Um, yeah, I mean that that's easily fixable. They just take that percentage out of the ammo crates. I don't think an ammo crate should give grenades anyway. Those should be reserved for the munition crates that spawn on the map. Um but another thing is like they they can't stop you from collecting 15 grenades in the match. Exactly. Yep, exactly. True, true, true. It does help that they're not starting out with 15 in their inventory. But you know, it's it has helped it be reduced. Um, I haven't noticed grenade spam at all unless you know I get really lucky and I find a bunch in a match, and then I can start throwing stuff, but it's really not a big deal right now.

SPEAKER_03

I wholeheartedly agree with you. A grenade spam, even when it was at its strongest, I don't know, maybe I'm weird. Um, it's just never bothered me. And especially at the point now, it yeah, I I know we probably got some blisters that feel a lot more passionate about this. It just don't bother me. I think it's in a better place. And I agree also with you with what you said. This is an easy fix for Bungie. If they still don't like it, they don't like the whole ammo crates give grenades, and it they're they're according to their numbers, people are still grenade spamming more than they would like to see. Easy fix in season three.

SPEAKER_01

Easy easy fix. Or, I mean, they could even just make it to where it's just smoke grenades and procs. Yeah. That that like it's not that hard of a transition. But honestly, I do wholeheartedly feel like grenades should only be available in the match or in munition crates spawned in the match. We should never have a deployable that has a chance to give you a grenade. Yeah, that's weird. That concept to me is lost. I don't understand that. Yeah.

SPEAKER_03

Um, I'll tell you something, it kind of a very slight transition. Something I notice a big, big, big, big, big difference in in the changes they've made in the midseason patches, bubble shields. Uh, they also definitely wanted to see bubble shields go down. I think uh the tuning, the tuning was like bubble shields took 560 damage with PvP down to 400. That's a gut, dude. That's massive. Um, all you gotta do now, if somebody throws down a bubble shield, just pepper it. You you it's it's really almost at the point now where you don't have to team shoot it anymore. One individual player, if they just focus the bubble shield, it'll go down. It's but the bubble shield now, it's turned into it was in the position of it can it can be a choke. Like, hey, bubble shield down, it's got like 2,000 health, it's gonna sustain a lot of damage. We can actually use this to hold a choke. It's gone from that to now a bubble shield is more of a oh crap thing, like a oh crap, I'm in trouble, bubble shield down.

SPEAKER_01

I think I would only ever use it to reposition, to be honest.

SPEAKER_03

Yeah. It it yeah, yeah. I agree wholeheartedly with you. That I think that's what that's its intention now. I think that's all it can really be used for now is you've took damage, you're in a bad you you you're in a bad position, you bubble down to reposition. I wholehearted, I think you hit the nail on the head.

SPEAKER_01

It's not a life support anymore. It's it's an oh crap moment.

SPEAKER_03

Yes, I completely are you in my head? Um, yeah, I I completely agree with you.

SPEAKER_01

It's a in your closet, under your bed, from everywhere.

SPEAKER_03

Yeah, it's it's it's an oh crap thing now, not a let's stand our ground right here. It's more of a like, I oh crap, let's get out of here. You know, I'm I'm hurt kind of thing.

SPEAKER_01

Unless all three of you are running two of them, I wouldn't even chance it. Honestly.

SPEAKER_03

It says um it says energy amps took a slight nerf. Passive prime ability regen reduced by 40%. Passive tactical trait ability regen reduced by 40%. Um I I I I've not noticed this very much. Probably higher tier players feel this more, but for me, I I'm per when I pop an energy amp, I still know it's like, oh yeah, hey, it helped my ability cooldowns. Like I'm still noticing it's pretty good.

SPEAKER_01

Real quick, um Did you know about the grenade vulnerability? Tell me. It's it's listed here. Um, it says grenades now deal two times explosion damage directly to bubble shields. And then it says fixed a bug where explosions were previously dealt zero damage. I didn't think that was a bug. It's been like that since day one. A bubble shield has never taken damage from a grenade, any kind.

SPEAKER_03

Wow. But up so now it takes so you say now it takes yeah, yeah, I see that now. Oh my gosh, yeah. Now, again, we got a grenade. We got a grenade nerf. A grenade, we don't have nowhere near as many grenades as we used to, but yeah. Um, if you apparently now, I'm glad you pointed that out in the notes. If you throw a like a frag, it's gonna do two times. It'll essentially almost kill that bubble shield now, the way I'm reading it.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah, so now it's grenade for grenade.

SPEAKER_05

Mm-hmm.

SPEAKER_01

And now you're gonna be PvP without grenades. That is such a smart decision on Bungie's part. Yeah, yeah, yeah.

SPEAKER_03

Yeah, they took a different yeah, they they they're taking a different direction. I'm for it. That I'm cool with all this. This is fine with me.

SPEAKER_01

I just can't believe it was marked as a bug. I thought that was always the intention, was it wasn't supposed to take damage from grenades. Yeah. If that was a bug, they waited a while.

SPEAKER_03

Yeah, well, they did, didn't they? Yeah. Well, to me, it makes sense. Like well, to me, it just kind of makes sense. Like if the bubble shield takes damage from bullets, why in the world would it not take damage from grenades? Exactly.

SPEAKER_01

I've been wondering that since day one. Like, of course, if it should throw a grenade, it should do something.

SPEAKER_03

Exactly. I wholeheartedly agree. Um, okay. So that's cool. I like that. We'll get into some of that change. I I like it too. We'll get into some runner shells. Um, one of these changes we saw coming. One of these changes we 100%, I at least I'm again, I'm gonna speak for me. I did not see this coming. We knew assassin nerds were coming. Uh basically, invisibility from any source now flickers off if you sprint for more than two seconds. Yeah, that that's about literally what it does. So if you see if you're invisible, you start sprinting, you got about two seconds, and then you're gonna start losing your invisibility. AI detection. PVE AI combatants can now hear invisible players' footsteps at closer range and will now enter search behavior. So they won't they won't find you, they won't shoot at you while you're invisible, but in solos, you're still essentially, especially to a smart player, you'll let an enemy runner know that you're around because they will see the bots are alerted to something. Therefore, that provides the enemy runner with information. Somebody's around here. I should be on my guard. Assassin smoke dive buff, base cooldown reduced from 60 seconds down to 45 seconds to increase disengage uptime. Yeah, I've noticed all these. So Assassin in an interesting place, he got a nerf, but he also got a buff. Uh, I will fire out the gates and say, I think Assassin is still good. Um the the 2% nerf to his camo is noticeable, but you just play around it a little bit. You gotta think about it a little bit more now. Therefore, it is a nerf. Assassin is still really to me, he just didn't change much. He's still he's still S tier, in my opinion, in um in solos. I think he's still good in duos. I mean, I mean, excuse me, in trios, because his his ult not affected at all. He can still provide the smoke. He still goes invisible in the smoke, he can revive his teammates, he can make somebody second guess themselves. Um I'm about I'm let I'm about to let you take over bat. Assassin's still good to me. Uh, I'm glad they did the nerfs. I'm cool. I'm I'm for it. If they want to nerf him more, fine by me. Uh fine by me if they want to hit him with some more nerfs. But uh he's at this time, as of this recording, 8-9-26. I think even with the nerfs, Assassin's still good.

SPEAKER_01

You want me to take over the recon? Sure, take it. Um well, she's garbage now. Um don't play it unless you're in cryo. Um I struggle with her on every other map now, and it's really disappointing. Tell everybody what what got changed. So they took the wave count from her ultimate um from seven waves to five waves, which gives you a lot less information and a lot less time. Um basically you you have to be on top of a team before you pop it to get any information out. Cryo, that's a little bit easier. You hear footsteps, you pop it. Yeah. Because it's so condensed. Um, perimeter, I'm not gonna pop it anymore to see if somebody's in a UI ahead of me. I'm gonna have to be in the UI. Um sorry, PI, I'm sorry. Um the the wave now has a delay longer from two and a half seconds to three seconds. So you're not getting as many waves, and they're taking longer. So your information has basically been cut in half. They could have ran you know 50 more feet to the left and then immediately backtracked and went to the spot that they were in before, and you wouldn't know it. Um the ping lifetime. So, like when when I see an enemy running out in a field, if I ping them, that now lasts eight seconds instead of ten. Again. A lot less information. Um so this the dev note um is to slow down real-time location snapshotting during high-tier standoffs, giving opposing squad times to reposition reposition or push between pulses. The only time that I think that that's really necessary is in cryo. Um so I really feel like Recon just got absolutely nerfed. And unless you're in cryo, try a different character. Um I'm playing Vandal now. I if I'm playing any other map, I literally can't play Recon. I hate it. Yeah.

unknown

Yeah.

SPEAKER_01

It feels like she's back to season one, to where I'm not gonna touch it again unless I'm in cryo.

SPEAKER_05

Mm-hmm. Mm-hmm.

SPEAKER_01

And that's a very irritating feeling because that was my main this season. And I know the old town is feeling the same with Assassin. So they uh somebody over at Bungie's listening to running out of breath, and they're saying, hey, these two are these two characters, we need to do something. Um and they did it, and they did it, yeah, indeed they did. Um yeah. Uh it hurts, but we'll uh I digress. Yeah, we'll get over it.

SPEAKER_03

Yeah, it's fine. Uh yeah, I yeah, I mean, really, at the end of the day, we have to. We don't have a choice. We have to get over it. There's other shells. Yeah. So speaking of shells, I know the nerf in the back of my mind, the nerf is part of the reason why I have now switched off of Assassin. Um I have I've done it again, but I have made another change with who I've been consistently playing as lately. Uh, I have some of it is to do with the assassin nerfs, but not really at the same time, because again, I said earlier, I think Assassin's still good. Uh, but I have just always had my eyes on Destroyer. I've always wanted to play him, and I started playing him a lot in Vault Breakers, and I got comfortable with his abilities and how to use them. And I am proud to say that has been, that is at this time, at this time right now, that's my main. I'm uh I'm I'm playing main and destroyer right now. He's who I'm consistently using. He is so fun, dude. Um, he's definitely a lot more difficult to use than Assassin is, and uh his O crap buttons aren't as good as Assassin's Smoke, but he man, I I love the thruster abilities. It can provide you with a lot of really good, like it can just give you a lot of good opportunities to get some good downs, and it can you can bob and wheel them. I'm just I'm just having fun with him. And honestly, it's thanks to Vault Breakers because I just got to use them. I got to use them with with no consequences, and I got comfortable with him. Perhaps I may have developed some bad habits because there's not consequences, not you know, major ones in Vault Breakers. Um, but yeah, yeah, I have uh I've been made a destroyer, dude, and uh I've been having a lot of fun with him. And I'm I'm I'm really proud to see even in the bad matches where I'm getting like, dude, like Tuesday, I've got this in the notes. It was either Tuesday or let's say let me go down. When was it? I had a bad day, dude. Monday. Monday, Monday. Jesus, dude. I got my butt kicked so bad um last Monday, man. Uh I I just nothing was going right. The brakes wasn't going my way. Just that's really just all I'm gonna say about it. It's just nothing, nothing was going right. And I played Destroyer, I played Destroyer that whole night, and I'm I'm happy. I I think sometimes old me would have been like, okay, nah, this ain't my guy. But I I stuck it through. I kept playing. I I woke up, I I got back up on my feet, I logged back in. It was like the next day or whatever, and I I continue to use him, and I'm getting better with him. It's a process, but I am getting better with Destroyer.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah, I've noticed you're playing them a lot. You're getting pretty good.

SPEAKER_03

Appreciate that, man.

SPEAKER_01

There's been a couple times where uh I've been down and I'm watching his uh his screen, and yeah, the way he's learning how to move and you know, use that shield and you know, timing your ultimate, it's uh it's really improving. Thanks, man. I appreciate that. And it's nice to nice to have a a destroyer on the team. They they can clutch up a lot.

SPEAKER_03

I I when we did the runner shell tier list, I told you, I said, the three runner shells that I get the most excited about when they're on my team a destroyer, a triage, and a recon. Of course, recon got nerfed. But still, it so we talked to you know the recon. I'll I'll revisit that real quick. She can still be good, um, especially when it comes like rooks. If you just got that sense that there's a rook in the area somewhere. Almost any map, you know, especially on outpost and cryo. Well, there's no rooks and cryo, but if you like in in outpost, if you think there's a rook around, like uh a recon is a rook's worst enemy. It really, truly is. A lot of times when I'm playing rook and I'm trying to kick kick a team in the balls, they rat me out because they have a they have a recon and it gives away my exact position, even with the nerfs, it get it, it gives them enough information to be like, he's over here. And there's just one of me, so they can really hone in on me and their their eyes can look at the general, even though the pulses are not as often, they have a really good idea of where I've been, and they usually kill me if they have a recon on the team.

SPEAKER_01

So really, if I'm rooking to you better turn into Usain Bolt and know exactly where your exit's at.

SPEAKER_03

We will uh let's transition over to weapons a little bit. We're we're almost, honestly, we're almost at the finish line here. Let's see where are we at. Uh okay. Oh, wow, we've been talking for a while. Okay. Alrighty. So uh let's we'll transition over to weapons a little bit. So I think we'll start with the hot one. The volt thrower. So apparently, Bat, the volt thrower was insane at the very beginning of of midseason patch in season two. I'm gonna keep it real with you. I'm gonna keep it real with everybody else. At the beginning of mid-season patch, I was in Vault Breakers. I was not running I was not running regular games. I did not get to experience this meta. So therefore, I'm not gonna give any bold takes. I just I didn't contribute to it. Um I saw some clip and I did see on social media where people were very um had strong opinions about the volt thrower. I kind of at the time was like, is it really that bad? Like, is it is it really being that dominant? I don't know, Bat. I people are claiming it was that bad. Um, apparently the meta was like, because it was hitting harder and it was shooting faster, and it's kind of one of those guns you don't have to ADS with it. You can just kind of hit fire with it, and it kind of auto-tracks. People were like, just kind of the meta was like destroyer, vandal, and people were like giddy, like sliding in and using movement and just I I I yo I saw a few clips of it. I saw where some people were being vocal about it. Apparently, it got Bungie's attention because it has again uh it apparently it says partial damage revert bumped from 12.16 uh up to 14.4. Target track target tracking now delays up to 30% over uh 1.2 seconds to curve to curve auto aim at extreme ranges. I I I am not gonna get into the nitty-gritty numbers. This is what this sometimes I can look at numbers, I can be like, oh, this is what this means. I with I'm not gonna get into all that, but uh what I can tell you is I feel the nerf, and I do feel that they did something to the vault thrower uh after that initial release of mid-season patch. Any thoughts on that?

SPEAKER_01

Um, I I was also in Vault Breakers uh kind of at the beginning, and then I went on call. Um, and I want to say that the day that I went on call, um, or maybe the day before, they had already patched it. And I'm not gonna lie, I'm pretty upset that I didn't at least get to uh play around with it. I've liked the Vault Thrower since the beginning. I was hoping to see it get buffed at some point, and then I wasn't around for it. So my thoughts exactly.

SPEAKER_03

I actually would like to have had a little hand of piece of that pie. I would like to have experienced that for a little bit, but I I'm like you, I was in I either just wasn't on because I was busy or I was in Vault Breakers. Yeah.

SPEAKER_01

Um I don't know if I would have liked facing it, but I would have liked to have at least got to shoot a couple people with it. It was a very short-lived meta.

SPEAKER_03

Ver it's a very little tiny piece of marathon's history.

SPEAKER_01

A very short meta. And you know, I can I can applaud Bungie for acting so quickly on it, but also it's like dang it. Yeah. If you would have given it one more week, I might have had some fun, but that's okay.

SPEAKER_03

Yeah, yeah, yeah. People were being vocal about it, man. People were really being vocal about it. For good or bad? I don't know. I don't know. Be quiet. Everybody stop. It's good.

SPEAKER_02

Let it ride.

SPEAKER_03

Let it ride for a little bit longer. So speaking of weapons, we'll talk about the Mizraya uh 2024-42 shotgun. Uh base damage reduced from 140 to 110. Rounds per minute reduced from 72 to 58. Uh, two-hit KO ranges pulled back across all shield tiers. I can sit here and I can read these numbers. Yes, uh Mizzy nerf is was noticeable. Like you can tell, it don't hit quite as hard, but I'm gonna tell you something, Bat. It's still good. It's if if anybody listening right now, don't feed those Mizzies to the worms. Hang on, don't do what old town did. I fed them to the worms again, again, like comes back to that worm dilemma. Like, I would like to have kept those Mizzies, man. I had like five of them. Uh and I I I looking back on it now, that was a mistake. Um, I I I wish I would have kept those Mizzies, man, because we played a game, and uh so I played with Fallen. I played about five or so games with Cryo yesterday with Fallen and one of his friends. And we tried, oh, I had three vault, three vault three keys. We did fail all three times. We got close a couple times, but uh ultimately came time to we lost the PvP. But um there were there was like a moment, man, where I'm like, God dog, like this player did not do anything special against me. Because like I downed somebody and then I came so close, and I had an in because I had an N77, and the the recon just ran right up to me, and I peppered them. Like I was in there putting shots in them, but they had a misrayah, and they downed me with a misrayah. And I I was just sitting here like, man, I just had this feeling of like all I needed was to match that. It is it with a waster or a misraya. That player does not down. And I vocalized this to them too. I'm like, y'all, I'm sorry. I'm just I'm pissed off right now because that player that didn't, and we lost the fight because of it. Because like, if I'd have downed that person, I could have helped, I could have helped Fallen take down the final one, and we probably would have won that fight. And we probably would have broke into Vault 3 and we most likely would have. I can't, I you know, I'm I can't live in absolutes and concerns, or or you know, I can't confidently say it. Well, I I I feel confident we would have, but I can't put the bank, the bank savings on that we still would have got out. But uh, anyways, I I got off track there. I just had this feeling of like, oh, yo, you dirty devil. Oh, if I I would have beat you if I would have also had a Misraya. With all of this being said, I didn't mean to get on my tangent like that. Misraya got nerfed, yeah. Is the Misraya still good? Uh yeah. It's still really good. And uh if anybody is listening that has misrayahs, hang on to them. Hang on to them. Any thoughts, Bat?

SPEAKER_00

Um, no, I agree. Copy. Um every once in a while I get shot by one, and I think, oh, okay.

SPEAKER_03

It's like he did that. That's it. That's fine. Uh the bully SMG, very teeny tiny nerf. Rodeo mag size reduced from 72 to 61. Drum mag reduced from 66 to 58, max fall-off range cut from 40 meters down to 32 meters. I still like the bully. Uh, sure, little teeny tiny nerf. Not bad. I have used the bully several times since these nerfs, and some of these nerfs are just like, if you read it, it's just like certain attachments. It's not really to the naked gun itself. It's just like the rodeo mag, the drum mag. Um, it apparently it maybe it got a little bit of a range gut, a little bit, but um it it's still good, man. The the bullies still feel it's steady, it hits hard. Uh, I still love this gun. The battle pistol, this is a hot one. I um I I'm in big agreement with this one. This thing, this thing needed to, this thing needed to chill out. Precision multiplier reduced aka headshots, reduced from uh times 1.5 to 1.38 times now requires three precision bursts for gray shields, four bursts for purple, match max range fall off reduced by 10%, 38 meters down to 34 meters. Yeah. There is a um, this is a gun that I I don't know about you. You may have a toll, you may want to go with you may want to go a different direction with this, with your experiences. With me, um we lived in this meta for quite some time. The battle pistol came in really hot at the beginning of season two, and it remained hot until mid-season patch, which is interesting to me that the battle pistol went that long, but they immediately killed that not killed, but they immediately nerfed the volt thrower. Kind of interesting how that story goes. You guys, I am not I'm not really taking a side to this. You you guys be your own judge on what I just said right there. Anyhow, the battle pistol. This is a meta I did not really that's a gun I didn't really use very often. I like it. It's not that I don't di it's not that I dislike the battle pistol. I don't know. I just I just even though it was the hot gun, I just chose other guns. Like I still I just would rather have had a bully. I would rather have had uh uh M77 as my main weapon versus the battle pistol. With that being said, there was an instance that happened to me, and then there was an instance that I saw on Atlas Ford stream where I where I was like, yeah, that gun needs to chill out, and that that gun could probably use some tweaking. There was a moment with me where we were on outposts one time, and I I knew the enemy was on the roof, and I took an I took the high ground, I had a bully looking to down this player. I had a blue shield, this enemy runner I was fighting had a blue shield, and dude, I they just like I peeked, I started shooting at them, and it it seemed like this player just snapped their finger and downed me. And I genuinely remember scratching my head, like, how did that player down me so fast? And I went back and I watched the tape, I'm like, uh, they were using the battle pistol. Okay. That happened to me, and then there was an instance where I was watching Atlas Ford stream. He was on perimeter and he was playing with like some of other two players that he uh that he liked, Boozer and Ronan, I think are their names, that he likes that he runs with. Basically, there was just an instance where like he had a Atlas had a scout rifle, he was fighting somebody with a battle pistol that was a little bit outside of mid-range. A scenario where you would 100% imagine that a scout rifle would outdo a pistol, and Atlas lost that 1v1 to that dude way outside a pistol's range. And Atlas had a scout rifle or like a precision rifle, whatever you want to call it. And this was, you know, still at that time, the paddle pistol had not been nerfed, and uh that dude just melted Atlas and he won that 1v1. And he you could tell Atlas was frustrated, and even me watching his stream was like, How did he go down right there? Like, how did that player down him? It was that daggum battle pistol. Um, Bat, I don't know what your thoughts are on it. Um, towards as we got closer to midseason, I started seeing the writing on the wall. Yes, this is a weapon that probably needed to be tuned tuned down a little bit. I like this change that they did to the battle pistol. I don't they didn't totally kill it, like it can still be a good, reliable weapon. I I I don't use this weapon much. I think that's my problem. I've gone against it a lot, but I just don't use it a lot. But uh, what are your thoughts on the D-54 changes? Okay.

SPEAKER_01

Um, to be honest with you, I'm a little upset. Um for the simple fact that last season we had a pistol that was S-rank. Can you tell me what it was? The ball, the bolt punch. Yup. You could take that gun into any game and feel confident. And it was cheap. You could buy it. The battle pistol is in the exact same position. Gotcha. You could buy it.

SPEAKER_00

It was cheap. I could go into any game feeling confident. Now it's gone.

SPEAKER_01

I love the battle pistol. Love it. Um don't like it now, because again, they messed with it. But um a lot of things that there were a lot of games that I played that I only won because I had it. Um, you know, as a blue shield facing a purple. Most casual players, that's where we're gonna be at. It's a blue shield versus a purple. Yeah. So that was an advantage. Not saying that them having one is great, but it gave me a chance. Um the other night when we went to Outpost, you saw me go in with a free kit and come out with 30k. I used to be able to do that with the battle pistol. Right. It's a little more difficult now. Um, so yeah, I'm I'm upset about it, but I know that I'm probably one of the very few. Um, but because that was a playstyle of mine, that's now been taken. And that's always a terrible feeling. You know, like when when the assassin nerfs came in, there were probably a lot of assassins crying. Yeah. I'm I'm upset about the recon. Again, that's two game styles that have been ripped from the game. But I get it. It was a little too powerful. Everybody wants to be on the same level playing field. But you know, there are other guns that could have outperformed it. And you know, I a lot of it is you know, in this game, a lot of it's taking an angle or dropping somebody when they don't even know you're in the same room. In the case of Atlas versus the pistol guy, um they both saw each other, obviously. I don't know if he just had better aim. I don't know what kind of precision rifle he was using, whether it had a slower fire rate of fire. Right. Um because that that could be a big thing. Like if I was going up against a battle pistol with a repeater, no, I'm gonna accept my death. Yeah. Because there's no way. Um now, battle pistol before the nerf versus my magnum now, that would be a match. But uh sadly we'll never see it. You're right.

SPEAKER_03

Yeah, hey, you know, that's the beauty of this podcast, is there you know, everyone's not most of the time me and you were on the same page of things, but that's the beauty of the podcast. Like every once in now and then we have different opinions and different takes on things, and it's always great. Hey, Bat, imagine getting to have different opinions. Imagine and be cordial, bat. This is such a foreign concept. What do you mean we can have a cordial discussion and not have the same opinion? What do you mean? That's not supposed to be a thing. That's crazy. You're supposed to go on Twitter and chew me out. I don't have Twitter, so you're you're uh You're supposed to put Oh, I almost said something. I'm gonna hold my tongue. I'm gonna hold my tongue. I I I had a moment there I want to decide how how how uh how spicy, uh, how spicy did I really want to get right there. But that's all I'm gonna say. Hey Bat, so you have a slightly different opinion on the battle pistol as me. Yeah. Hey, guess what? We're still friends.

SPEAKER_04

Yeah.

SPEAKER_03

I mean imagine.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah. Imagine. So if anybody else feels the same way that I do, just know that I stand with you. Okay. Awesome.

SPEAKER_03

Yeah, no, good stuff. Uh that's great, man. That's good stuff. Like letting people hear letting people kind of hear two different takes in them, and then they get to decide how do they feel about it. They get to kind of hear both sides of the coin. That's good, good stuff, man. Good stuff.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah. And you know, like maybe in your situation, I don't know if you were in like a head glitch or something. But if all he has to shoot is your head, it's gonna make it easier for him to kill you.

SPEAKER_03

He must have, in my situation, he must have just hit, he must have just landed those headshots.

SPEAKER_01

So many circumstances. So, I mean, it it's not a highly skilled weapon, but sometimes it does take skill to get those shots to land, because it is a burst gun. Yeah. It does jump a little bit.

SPEAKER_03

So and to be fair, in my scenario, we was in battle pistol, we was in pistol range. Yeah. We was like he was in the ideal range that he would want to be in, but so was I with the bully. Yeah. So that's why it just didn't feel good. But if hey, I'll just say this real quick. The battle pistol for me was never, it was never in a spot where I was like, bungee, you gotta dial this thing back. Now, after those experiences, I was having those thoughts, but even then, the battle pistol was not something that was terrorizing my lobbies. It wasn't something that was plaguing my lobbies. Like, it wasn't that big of an issue for me. I'm I personally am glad it got dialed back, but I I wouldn't be crying if it wouldn't have got touched, because it wasn't terrorizing my lobbies.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah. So so are you now upset though that the bully got a nerf in this situation?

SPEAKER_02

Yes.

SPEAKER_01

Because that's where it comes from. You get you get nerfed on one gun, and then they show something that would have, you know, challenged it wit when it was in its prime, and now you're at a disadvantage.

SPEAKER_03

It's never it it kind of goes like just to who we are as humans. Like it's never gonna feel good when a game dev nerfs the thing you like. That's exactly it if Dead by Daylight, Apex, Overwatch, Destiny 2, Overwatch. It's when they nerf your Bastion, they nerf my Reinhardt. It's never gonna feel good. It's always like that gum it, dude. Like what? Yeah, it feels the worst when it I have had situations where I'm I am using the meta and I know deep down, yeah, this is this is a little oppressive. I'm gonna ride out the meta. I'm gonna enjoy the meta while it lasts, but I know a nerf is coming, and I know deep down this is too hot. It feels the worst when you don't feel that way, and it gets nerfed anyway. You did it's something you don't, whatever the thing is, a character, an ability, a gun, and you don't think it's that big of an issue, especially when the community doesn't think that happened a lot in Overwatch. Like they would nerf Reinhart randomly, and the community would be like, Why you nerfing Reinhardt? Yeah, like you got Arissa over here terrorizing lobbies, Insombra terrorizing lobbies, and you just nerfed like the most well-loved tank in the game. Like everybody nerfed Anna. Everybody loves Reinhardt. Everybody loves Reinhardt even if you don't use Reinhardt, even if you don't main like there's you know when you're getting ran over by Reinhardt, you can at least be like, man, that guy's just good.

SPEAKER_01

I mean, he's just good. It's like shadow nerfing May. Nobody uses May. There was no issue. Why would you nerf her?

SPEAKER_03

Man, I don't yeah. I thought, hey, hey, I we'll we'll go, hey, we'll we'll transition to Overwatch just for a little tiny teeny tiny moment. I thought you hated May.

SPEAKER_01

I do. I'm just saying, like, you know, if it's something that you're not super passionate about, then all of a sudden it gets nerfed and the community doesn't even think it's an issue, that'd be the same as nerfing May, which is a character that nobody uses, but all of a sudden she has a nerf for no reason.

SPEAKER_03

Right. Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah.

SPEAKER_01

Like that just that wouldn't make any sense.

SPEAKER_03

Sometimes devs provide good feedback on this is why we did this. Sometimes they don't say anything and they just nerf something, and it's like, and nobody was asking for it. It's like, what you do that for?

SPEAKER_01

Like maybe they just want to see less of that character. I don't I don't know. Yeah, I don't know. I don't know.

SPEAKER_03

Oh, kind of closing in on uh some of our last bit of notes here, we'll talk about some buffs. The twin tap got a little buff. The waster got a little buff. The KKV got a little bit of a buff. Twin tap. Base damage buffed from 22 to 24. Precision multiplier increased by times 1.4, burst rate of fire increased by 50%. I have used the twin tap since the buffs. I'm gonna be honest with you, I don't really notice them. The twin step, the twin tap still feels like that. I would even almost question like if those numbers I just read off are correct. Uh if there's been like a change, if there's been like another change since then, because the twin tap to me still feels like the twin tap. It's okay. Um spoiler alert, everybody, when we do our when we do uh bat, this is gonna be here. Bat, you do you realize it is almost time for us to do our season two weapons tier list? That's gonna be here even sooner. Because we gotta roll out that episode before season three gets here.

unknown

Yeah.

SPEAKER_03

I mean, that's gonna be that's really gonna be here in the blink of an eye. So, spoiler alert, everybody. I think I'm gonna go down, I may go down on my grade this season with the twin tap. But, anyways, we'll see to be continued. The WEST, the W the WSTR. Um, yeah, I'm gonna keep I don't know if this is a hot take, what I'm about to say. Um well, let me read it first. Base damage increase from 85 to 100, 20% wider spread across all tiers. Yeah, um, I don't know if this is a hot take, what I'm about to say. I think the waster is in a good spot now. It downs runners at the range you would expect it to. Um, but it's not the oppressive waster it was in season one, where it was downing players at ranges it should not be downing them. Like now you gotta, you know, you gotta stick that, you know, you you gotta you gotta have that barrel, you know, right at them to to get the to get the the two-tap down.

SPEAKER_01

It's not a gun that you're gonna run in both slots anymore. Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah.

SPEAKER_03

It's not the monstrosity it was in season one, but it's not the shell of its former self that it was that the were just n or it was just useless when it took that real big nerf. I think the waster is hey, I still think the Mizzy's better. I don't know if that's a hot take. I still, if I have if I'm going into cryo and you give me an option of two blue tier weapons, you want to you want a blue tier waster, or you want a blue tier Mizzy? I'm actually gonna take the Mizzy still, despite the nerves. Because it's still got more range and it can shoot more often. It's got more damage. And yeah, the damage is still good. Yeah, it's still got good damage. So, but with that being said, uh, I am now downing people again with the waster. I I like this change. Good job, Bungie. I like the waster change. That's me. That's my opinion. I like it. Good job. Uh what uh before we go to the KKV, what I know you've had hot takes, um, strong feelings on the waster in the past. What do you think about it?

SPEAKER_01

Um I'm still not gonna pick it up just because I I dislike this weapon with a passion. Uh, but if I had to use it, I would feel a lot better about it now. Um still a good credit weapon to sell. Good weapon to feed the worms. Um I haven't used it really since the the nerf or the buff on it. Uh but all in all, I would still pick a Missy any day of the week. Likewise.

SPEAKER_03

And something go ahead.

SPEAKER_01

Just because it's a Missy. Um I like the way it looks, I like the way it shoots. Um, and they they their credit limit is way higher if I wanted to sell it or give it to the homes.

SPEAKER_03

Agreed. Something else that's also keeping the waster in check and in a healthy place is the Mizzy. But also, um, you don't see them. There's they're it's not a the mid the the waster is not, in my opinion, a common gun. Most of the time when I get a waster, I I have to get it off somebody. I have to get it off somebody.

SPEAKER_01

Get it off of bots.

SPEAKER_03

Yeah, or a bot. Yeah, yeah. Maybe the bot or the bot or I get a or a good weapons locker. That's really all yeah. I I just don't I don't see the waster much.

SPEAKER_01

Which, by the way, the bots carrying the waster have the the season one waster. It hurts. Yeah, they do. They really do. It goes back to the season two nerfed one when we get it, but when it's in their hands, they have the season one waster.

SPEAKER_03

The KKV 9 SD SMG. Uh base mag size bumped from 23 to 28. As of patch 1.1.5.2. Base damage increased from uh it doesn't say I I missed my numbers, but but damage has been slightly increased. Uh for a more forgiving body shot TTK. Yeah, um the the KKV is a gun. I'm gonna tell you, I'm gonna I'm gonna tell you right now. That's gonna be one of those guns that I'm gonna have a hard time giving a grade on when we do our tier list video. There's moments where I'm like, man, this feels good. And there's moments where I'm like, dang. So I'm gonna have to really do some thinking when I give a grade to the KKV. We'll um I've used it a little bit since patch 1.1.5.2. It's it feels fine. Uh I got it, I got some downs with it the other day. I even brought it into cryo and I gotta I I downed a purple shielded sentinel with the with the KKV. I don't know. Maybe it's a feast or famine type, maybe it's a feast or famine type of gun. Like it needs to be the right scenario at the right time. You gotta be in that range, and then you gotta keep your barrel steady when you shoot it because it'll like you know it shoots really fast. Yeah. But um, yeah, I'm gonna have a hard time giving uh I'm gonna try my best to give it a fair as fair grade as I possibly can. I'm gonna do more thinking about it too, try to use it more often. So but apparently, yeah. Hey, apparently KKB got a little bit of a bump. Got a little bit of a bump. Um I think last man, we'll end this with like the great faction package glitch. At the beginning of uh mid-season, server bug dupli basically if you if you VIP'd a faction, there was a bug where you could not claim any of the faction rewards. But if you had not VIP'd a faction, there was a lot of rewards waiting on you. This was a this was when I was scratch when I logged in season mid-season, I was scratching my head. I'm like, why do I have all this these rewards? And it it personally to me felt like a bug right off the pop. And then I realized when I couldn't claim my new caloric VIP rewards, that's when I knew like, hey, something's going on here. The this felt like this felt like Christmas. I'm gonna keep it real with you, Bat. I'm so happy Bungie did not revert to this glitch. I'm so happy that they allowed us to keep all of our rewards from this glitch because it really helped me. It really it really helped me get a lot of rewards that I was like a few things off from getting. Uh this was like Christmas, man. This it was fun going in and unlocking all those rewards. So, any any any thoughts on that?

SPEAKER_00

Um I hope it happens every season.

SPEAKER_03

That'd be great. That would be great.

SPEAKER_01

And that's worm food, too, by the way. That's worm food. Exactly. Yeah. Um, which most of it actually went to my worms at the time. Um so yeah, I loved it. It was great. Um, I was sad that it was a bug.

SPEAKER_03

So I thought it should just happen anyway. To explain it one last time to someone that's in here that maybe didn't, for some reason, didn't experience this or just hasn't been on in a while, but they're listening to us. If you were ranked, I I correct me if I'm wrong, Bat. If you had made it to rank 25, I'm just gonna give an example, in Nucaloric. And then when they did the mid-season patch and you logged in, when you logged in, you had an additional 25 faction rewards ready to go for you, and it was a glitch. You basically got double the rewards. Yep, and it was awesome.

SPEAKER_01

It was great, it was freaking great. The VIP part being locked out, that did kind of suck. Um, just because we had to wait so long for them to address it. Um, because that was also faction rewards that you know, I had to wait and wait and wait. And then when I finally got it, those were the ones I was needing the most. Yeah, oh yeah. My stuff done. Because it's the higher tier rewards. So um, yeah, I know that there were some people out there, you know, those Johnny 40 hours, they were living it up.

SPEAKER_03

Boy, don't you know?

SPEAKER_01

Um I I think Fallen was even living it at that point. I haven't talked to him in a while, but I know his arachne level is through the roof. Like ungodly amount.

SPEAKER_05

Mm-hmm. Mm-hmm.

SPEAKER_03

Johnny 40 hour really ate good with that with that glitch.

SPEAKER_01

Uh-huh. Imagine logging in and you had 140 arachne faction awards. VIP.

SPEAKER_03

VIP, yeah, yeah. That's insane. Yeah, they ate real good. That's honestly probably what contribute to helping them get in the if anybody, I'm sure there's some P, there's a few out there that's gotten Weave Master, that's gotten Weave Master, Evolution 7. That that's part of the reason probably why they got there is because of that glitch. Yeah, absolutely. All right, man. Well, this has been a good episode. I think one of the most interesting discussions we've had was actually the worm dilemma and how you really gotta make a choice with what direction do you want to go. If you're going for profiteer, if you're a casual and you don't have a lot of time, you're probably not gonna get very far, you know, with your with your uh cradle progression. You just you gotta choose. You gotta choose. And um, we'll see for good or bad, we'll see what Bungie chooses to do with season three. I think what I'm gonna be the most interested to see is if I made it like I'm I'm evolution one with the cradle, or pr to say it another way, prestige one, I will be very interested to see. Am I still gonna be prestige one in season three? Or is it just all gonna go back to zero? If that's the case, uh that's yeah, casuals don't stand a chance at ever getting weave master. If it if they bring the cradle back, but it resets every especially if you can only, especially if they do it the way they did it this season, where you you don't even you can't you don't even have the choice to evolve it until mid-season patch. Casuals don't stand a chance at ever getting weave master. Not a chance. I'm sorry. That maybe that's a hot take. No shot. No Vince McMahon, no chance in hell.

SPEAKER_01

I mean, with as hard as I was hitting it, I can tell you right, I have no shot of hitting seven.

SPEAKER_03

Yeah. At all. It's not, I'm not even thinking about it. I'm not even considering trying it because I know uh there's just no one. I think if I started right now, if I logged on right now and I tried, I I wouldn't, I would not get, I'm telling you, I would not get there. I don't have enough time. I'm not a good enough player to earn the gear, and I don't have enough time to earn the gear. There's no chance I'd get there. Exactly. Forget it. But, anyways, anyways, hey, this has been a really fun episode, man. Uh thank you. Thank you for working with me, Bat. Um I got you. I appreciate you covering me, man. Uh uh, that was uh that was rough last night. But anyways, uh yeah, I'll take this moment and thank you everybody for listening. Sorry we have been gone a while.
