Here we go. I joined the new media lab just to meet new people for my first year.
SPEAKER_03Oh hey, not sure what it's take next semester here at the college? Are you getting something though? Nah, bro. I ain't got no. Going back to what we was talking to though, like, what was a moment in time where you felt proud to be black?
SPEAKER_06Have them. If we don't listen to these perspectives, we lose them. So as finals are coming up, I find it very difficult to uh study without something playing in the background. So I've been listening to Gideon the Ninth.
SPEAKER_04And how would you say running for a Delaware County Community College has enriched your college experience?
SPEAKER_07Um, something that a woman has taught me that I want to carry into the future is to be independent.
SPEAKER_08And I am honored to be here with some amazing women this evening.
SPEAKER_05Like the new one is gonna be really good because they brought back a character that was not in the first film.
SPEAKER_04Hi, my name is David, and I'm a sophomore at Delaware County Community College. What's going on, everybody?
SPEAKER_08This is Darren Robles from the New Media Lab.
SPEAKER_02I can see my children looking at me like, hmm, look at my mom go.
SPEAKER_05Welcome to Love Is All Around. I'm New Media Lab staff member, so I'm a Zumdar, reading today on behalf of Health Studies major Naja Franklin.
SPEAKER_06Personally, I like this series, but at the same time, I know the original movies were very contested.
SPEAKER_08And if you need some music to listen to, I've got the band for you. The Gorillas.
SPEAKER_05I feel like love is everywhere. In connections, people, objects, actions. Okay, but did anyone notice that the red-haired chick was from Avatar?
SPEAKER_02Hold up! Wait a minute. I did notice that. Wait. Mm-hmm.
unknownMm-hmm.
SPEAKER_02Yeah. I thought about it for a while, and I was even like kind of nervous to tell my husband, like, hey, I want to go back to school now. He was so supportive.
SPEAKER_08Um, I believe that his name is David Corn Sweat. I just, I don't know, there's something about him. He's so dreamy, so dashing.
SPEAKER_07I just love him. I think he's so cute and adorable. Hi, I'm McKenzie with New Media Lab, and I'm here with Arya. This month we're going around and asking people what's something that they've learned from the women in their life.
SPEAKER_06I know we've talked about the next gen digital literacy series in the past, but now that we have you in the studio, can you tell us more about it?
SPEAKER_08Hey DCCC, you should listen to Michael Jackson's songs and listen to his journey in the songs.
SPEAKER_00And people do have to understand the laws and understand what can and cannot be done so they don't have these undue expectations.
SPEAKER_01I'm learning exactly what my major is for and exactly what I'm going to school for, and I'm seeing it firsthand, and it's very, very fortunate and grateful for it.
SPEAKER_07Hello, I am Benjamin Diaz. I am a new Media Lab staff member, and I just finished my first recording here. Um, it was a little nerve-wracking, but I got through it.
