This isn’t laziness – it’s a brain difference. ADHD affects the brain’s executive functions like planning, working memory and time perception. One study found that ADHD-related working memory problems make it “extraordinarily difficult” to consistently anticipate, plan, and carry out goal-directed actions (pmc.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov).
