Welcome to Seriously Dead. I'm doing things a spiritual medium and I talk to dead people frequently. Your spirit family wants you to know they're okay and you are too. How do I know? Because the dead are a lot of things, but one thing they're not is quiet. Before we get started today, I just want to share that I've got something at the end of this episode for you. And if you're a little woo-woo like me, numbers are always signs. And so I feel like it's a celebratory moment here to celebrate episode 11. I'm going to start this one off with something that might shock you. And that's that you don't actually need me as much as you think you do when it comes to connecting with spirit. And I mean that in the most loving way possible. But here's the truth. After all these years of sitting with spirit, your loved one and spirit is not waiting for me to help you open that channel before reaching out. They're already reaching out right now, today, in the ordinary moments of your everyday life. The coin that you find on the sidewalk that stopped you cold, the song that came on exactly at the right time and moment that you needed to hear from it. The person who said something out loud out of nowhere that sounded exactly like your loved one in spirit. That wasn't random. That was spirit. And the reason most people miss it is not because spirit's not trying. It's because somewhere along the way, that person decided that the only real proof of spirit is the kind that comes along with logical explanations, the kind that can be verified and measured and explained away if necessary. But guys, at this point, you know me, if you've been listening to this series, spirit doesn't work that way. And in today's episode, we're going to learn all the ways that spirit actually does come through and the ways that you can trust them. One of the things that happens in readings more than almost anything else is I'll share something that spirit's bringing through, a specific detail, a memory, a feeling, a message that came in so clear and so deliberately. And the client will go quiet for a moment and then say something that stops me every single time. I was just thinking about that this morning. And every time that happens, I grin and laugh and chuckle because this doesn't happen once in a while. It doesn't happen occasionally. It is constant. It's reading after reading after reading. And what it tells me is something that I want you listening to really hear. Spirit was already with you. Spirit was with you that morning before your reading, before the medium opened the channel, before anyone officially invited spirit into the conversation. Spirit was already present, present in your mind, in your energetic field, in your memory, and in the quiet moments, already trying to come through. And the reading didn't create the connection, it just confirmed the connection. And that confirmation is as powerful as you can imagine. Not only the way the connection happened, it is just the most obvious one. And that confirmation, as powerful as it is, is not the only way the connection can happen. It's just the most obvious one. Spirit doesn't need a medium to point or to pull them out or to talk to them. What spirit needs more than anything is for you to pay attention. You just happen to be in your head and allow the circumstances of life to energetically cloud the connection between you and spirit. So let me talk about the specific ways spirit reaches out that most people are missing. The first one is coins. I hear about coins frequently, and often spirit will specify the type of coin or where they'll find a coin. Finding a coin in an unexpected place is one of the most common signs spirit uses. Not because coins are magical, but because spirit knows what will get your attention. A coin on the floor of a store that you never go to, a dime in a place where a dime shouldn't be, a penny that appears in the middle of a cleared surface that you know was empty five minutes ago. Spirit's not dropping coins from the sky, although, might I say that would be nice, but spirit is directing your attention. They're making you look down at exactly the right moment in exactly the right place. And when you find it, you get that feeling, like a little jolt of something. That is not wishful thinking, my friends. That is recognition. That is your soul recognizing the communication for what it is. The second is songs, a song that comes on at exactly the right moment, a song that was playing when something important happened, a song that your person loved that shows up on a random playlist at a moment when you needed to feel them so much. Spirit uses music because music bypasses our logical mind. It goes straight into the feeling, it lives in our right intuitive brain, opposite of that left side and that logic. And that feeling is where spirit lives. Music is a channel to spirit. And the third is people. And this one surprises most. Spirit speaks through the living all the time. Someone says something out of nowhere that sounds exactly like something your person would have said. A stranger uses a phrase your person used constantly. A child says something that stops you cold because there's no way that child could have known that. You're in a store and you hear on the overhead speaker calling, and that name is your loved one in spirit. That is spirit finding a voice, using whoever is available in that moment to deliver something that needed to be said, and that you needed to hear. And the fourth is thoughts and memories, a memory that surfaces out of nowhere while you're doing something completely unrelated, a thought that feels different from your regular thoughts, quieter, more specific, more like something being placed in your mind than something your mind generated on its own. That is spirit talking directly to you. And most people dismiss it as their own imagination before it even had a chance to land. Here's the single biggest thing that gets in the way of people receiving messages from their loved one in spirit on their own. Not believing it's possible. And I want to be gentle with that because I understand where it comes from. The human world is built around what can be seen, what can be measured, proven, explained. And the idea that someone who has died is still present, still communicating, still showing up in the ordinary moments of regular life, that doesn't fit neatly into the logical framework most of us have been handed growing up. So when a sign comes through the logical mind, immediately goes to work on it. That's just a coincidence. That song was already in the algorithm. That coin was there before you just missed it. That person just said something random. And that moment, that thought arrives, the connection closes. Not because spirit stopped reaching, but because the receiver stopped being open to receiving. Here's what I want you to understand about spirit communication. It does not come through in ways that make logical sense to the human mind. Spear comes through in ways that will get your attention, in the ways that your spirit knows will land with you. The dime in the dog's mouth was not logical. A grandmother's name hidden inside a babysitter's full name was not logical. A word like castle showing up in a reading for a woman who was afraid her father would judge her choice was not logical. But it was real. Every single one of these was real. And it was real precisely because it was too specific to be explained away. Spirit does not need to be logical. Spirit needs to be undeniable. And the more you stay open, the more practice trusting what comes through, the more undeniable the signs become. So, how do you actually start doing this on your own? The first step is the simplest and the hardest at the same time. It's to decide to believe it is possible. Not that every coincidence is a sign, not that every song or coin or random thought is your person, but that the connection is real, that spirit is present, that your loved ones in spirit are capable of reaching you and are often actively trying to do so. That decision changes everything because it shifts the way you move through the world. You start noticing things that would have walked past you before. You start sitting with the moments instead of immediately explaining them away. You start leaving a little space for something that does not fit neatly into the logical framework. The second step is to acknowledge the signs when they come in. It's so simple. Say it out loud or say it in your head. I see that. Thank you. I feel you, thank you. I honor you, thank you. That simple act of acknowledgement tells spirit the door's open. And that spirit will keep showing up for you when that door is open. The third is to learn the difference between your ego and your intuition. Because here's where most people get stuck: a sign comes through, and immediately two voices show up. One that says, that was spirit, and the other that says, You're being ridiculous. That was a coincidence. The first voice is your intuition, the second is your ego. Your intuition is quiet and steady and immediate, doesn't argue, and it doesn't need to convince you. It just knows. Your ego is loud and urgent and afraid. It rushes in to explain things away because uncertainty makes us uncomfortable. Because believing in something that cannot be proven feels risky. Learning to tell those two voices apart is the foundation of everything. It is how you start trusting what comes through. It is how the connection with your loved one in spirit goes from occasional and easy to dismiss to constant and impossible to ignore. And that is exactly what my free guided meditation does for you. Does it feel like the intuition or does it feel like the ego? Now, here's what I want you to leave before we close today. You do not need a medium to have a relationship with your loved ones in spirit. A medium can confirm what's already happening. A medium can point out the signs, say to you things that your person is saying. A medium can point to the signs and say, Do you see that? Is that your person? But the reality is the connection itself, it's already there. Your loved one in spirit is already reaching out, already showing up in the coins and the songs and the people and the memories and the thoughts that feel different from your own thoughts. They're already present in the moments you thought you were alone. A medium is not the gatekeeper of the connection. A medium is just someone who learned how to connect clearly and can help you learn to do the same. That's the thing I want every person listening to this to know. This is not a gift reserved for a small number of people. This is a capacity that every single human has the ability to develop. You just have to learn to trust and practice and know that you already have everything you need to start. The signs are already there, the connection is already real. All that is needed is for you to decide if you're going to trust it or not. Start small. Notice the coins, pay attention to the songs, sit with the memories that surface out of nowhere instead of immediately explaining them away.
