Pastor Jeff kicks off Vacation Bible School with a new rendition of "This Little Light Of Mine".
This was a lot of mine I'm trying to let it shine a lot of mine I'm trying to let it shine Whew boys and girls, this is a great song.
SPEAKER_00You might be asking yourself, Pastor Jeff, why is the vacation Bible school theme this year called J Pop Demon Hunters? I'll tell you why. You know, people think darkness is defeated with more darkness. I'm sure most of you have seen or heard of K-pop Demon Hunters. They are pop stars by day, demon hunters by night. They use their music, dance, and light energy to cast spells by evil spirits. But I'm here to tell you that Jesus showed us something different. He said, You are the light of the world. You are J-pop Demon Hunters. Because I was the OG Demon Hunter. And tonight, we're talking about the most powerful weapon a demon hunter can carry, and that's the light. See, the enemy wants you to be afraid to shine. He wants you embarrassed to pray at school, embarrassed to stand up for people, embarrassed to live for Jesus. But every time you show kindness, every time you forgive someone, every time you worship, a light turns on. Now some of y'all think, Pastor Jeff, I'm not important. I'm just one person. But listen to what Jesus said. This little light of mine, I'm gonna let it shine. But what if that song wasn't just a children's song? What if it was a demon hunter anthem? When you walk into school with kindness, shine. When you defend somebody getting bullied, shine. When you invite your friend to church, shine. So tonight, I don't want quiet life. I want a light so bright that the kingdom of darkness says, Oh man, not the J Pop demon hunters. Come on, kids, sing with Pastor Jeff.
