All right, welcome back to another episode of The Coach's Brain in the Opticast. In this episode, guys, we're gonna dive really fucking deep into something that I think gets very overlooked by a lot of people in the optimization space, which is you know, that building muscle and getting strong and getting lean, it's it's great. But if you're not thinking about what happens when you're 45, you know, when you're 50, when you're 55 years old, I think you're missing like half the gang. Because longevity and anti-aging, I don't think it's just about living longer, it's about living longer well. Meaning you will still have the strength, you still have cognitive function, you still have joints that work, you still have energy, and you're not just surviving, you're actually thriving and enjoying your life. And the reason I'm putting this episode in this series is because longevity and anti-aging peptides are part of the foundation that you need if you want to be the person who's still training hard and still thinking clearly when you're in your 70s. So today we're gonna break down the specific peptides that are actually going to keep your cells young, keep your tissues resilient, keep your mitochondria functional, and keep your whole system optimized for the long game. And the cool part is that a lot of these tools can be integrated with the growth and the performance stuff that we've been already talking about. So you're not choosing between being strong now or being healthier later. So let us start with one of my absolute fucking favors, epitolon, right? Because this is probably the most sophisticated anti-aging peptide on the market, and it's mostly completely misunderstood by people, right? Epitholon is four amino acids long and it's modeled on a substance of the pineal gland that it produces, right? And it works on the epigenetic level. So it's not changing your genes, it's actually changing how they are expressed. Specifically, it works in your circadian rhythm and your sleepwake cycle, which is the you know the foundation to aging because your your circadian rhythm, it controls the timing of the DNA repair, mitochondrial quality control, and inflammation pattern. So when that rhythm degrades with age, your cortisol stops coming down at night, your sleep starts fragmenting, your immune system gets very reactive, and your digestion starts to suffer. So pitawan is like sending a tech into the reset of the master clock and then telling the pineal gland to start acting young again. It's also a telamerase activity activating, right? Which is a part of why the longevity research on it is so fucking interesting, right? Something like a like a daily dose run for like 10 days to a to a couple of weeks, a couple times a year. It's rather than continuous use because you're actually just trying to remind the system. You're not trying to override the system. Now, the exact like, you know, cycle length and where it sits in the year, it's in the protocol module inside of the bioregulator course, but pulsatile fashion is the principle here for us in epitallon. Now, lmiprotide SS31 is the one we touched on in the mitochondria conversation, but it also deserves real time here because it's one of the most powerful anti-aging tools available. It's a small peptide that actually concentrates in the inner mitochondrial membrane and it binds to cardiolipin, which is the lipid that organizes the uh the EC, uh, the ETC, why the electron transport chain. So when cardiolipid gets disorganized with age and oxidative stress, your mitochondria they start leaking electrons, which makes more free radicals and it produces less ATP per unit of fuel. So SS31, it comes in and it stabilizes that structure. So you get less oxidative stress, less free radical damage, and more efficient energy production. This matters for longevity specific because mitochondrial dysfunction is one of the primary drivers of aging itself. So if the energy factors in every cell are failing, everything downstream is gonna fail with them. So fix the factory, and then the whole system has more capacity to uh repair itself as well as to adapt to these challenges of aging. Now, the next foundational piece uh it's going to be a cofactor that powers your longevity pathways directly, and that's gonna be NAD plus. So NAD reservoirs, they decline with age. By 60 years old, your levels might actually be half of what they were when you were 20. And when NAD is low, your sertuants can't activate, which means your DNA is gonna repair slowly. Mitochondrial quality control is also gonna slow down, and your whole system is gonna run on this older operating system, which is the opposite of what we want for anti-aging. You are gonna support it through precursors like NMN or NR and through behaviors to raise it naturally as well, like fasting, intense exercise, because both stress are going to stress the cell in a way that's gonna drive that NAD savage. So NAD also works like hand in glove with SS31. SS31 is gonna protect the structure of the mitochondria, and NAD plus is gonna fuel the enzymes that run inside of it. So that's why I tend to run like on a build foundation around these two compounds together rather than chasing a flashier compound first. Now, if you're significantly older, a precursor is likely not gonna do the job, and it also depends a lot on your gut environment. Uh, we have data on this as well. So I actually default to using NA injections subcutaneously a few times a week. Now, uh the the copper binding peptide, I think it's phenomenal for tissue regeneration, GHK copper, right? So it works through several mechanisms at the same time. It upregulates collagen and elastin production, which shows up as better skin quality, stronger connective tissue. Uh, it has some real anti-inflammatory activity, and chronic like low-grade inflammation is one of the central drivers of the engine of aging, what the research calls inflammation. Now, it also supports wound healing and tissue remodeling throughout the body. It's not just the skin. So there's also data on shifting gene expression back towards a more youthful pattern, which is really cool because it's so close to being a bioregulator. If it was just GHK, it would be a bioregulator. So this is this is the one that I think about when the goal is the structural, visible, and connective tissue side of aging. So the joints that stop aching and the skin that actually holds up running alongside the deeper metabolic work that the other compounds are doing. Now, there's a mitochondrial derived peptide, uh, which means like the mitochondria themselves encode and release it, and it acts as a cellular rescue uh signal under stress, and it's called humanin. So when the cells are under metabolic or or oxidative pressure, humanin is gonna step in and say, Hey, we can recover from this, guys. So don't trigger apoptosis. So what it's doing is it's supporting cell survival and uh it has some specific neuroprotective effects as well. So for longevity, this is exactly what you want. You want cells that are more likely to survive an insult and adapt rather than just dying off. Because as you age, you see the cumulative uh loss of cells in your tissues, like the brain and the muscle cells, that that is a big part of the decline itself. So humanin builds that cellular resilience and it ties straight back to the mitochondrial theme that we just covered because it's literally a signal that your energy factors, your mitochondria sends to keep the actual cells alive. So here's where the longevity stack comes together coherently. And you notice this is the same logic as the MARC framework. You start with the M. You're not taking random peptides and hoping, you're addressing the actual root causes of aging, which are mitochondrial dysfunction, circadian dysregulation, weak DNA repair capacity, and chronic inflammation. So you build the mitochondrial foundation first, usually with SS31 and NAD, because that's the M, right? The energy layer that everything else depends on. Then you bring in epitolon to reset that master clock and the circadian and the DNA repair systems. You also are gonna add GHKCU for the tissue regeneration and to bring inflammation down. And then you add humanin for cellular resilience and neuroprotection. But you don't start with all of these at once. You start with the energy foundation and then you build outward and you give it time as well, because the timeline for real longevity benefit is longer than that of uh performance. So we're talking at least 12 weeks for meaningful changes, and the real payoff is gonna be compounded over years of consistent and intelligent use, not just over a couple of cycles. So I had a client who was 62 when we started building a longevity protocol around this exact same logic that I'm sharing with you guys, which is what the coach's brain is about. It's about sharing a little bit of how I actually coach. So we laid the mitochondria foundation first with SS31 and then NAD support, and then we brought in epitulon in some pulse cycles to reset his circadian rhythm. We also added some other compounds like DSIP, and then I added uh GHK copper for his joints and tissue with some other compounds as well, and then we layered in humanin for that resilience piece. Two years later, he's literally stronger than he was when he started. So his energy is dramatically better, his recovery is faster, his sleep is really, really fucking deep. And he described it as sort of like getting a second wind in his life, which is fuck, I love what I do, man. So this is this is what it looks like when you treat aging as a set of systems that you can support instead of just the clock that you're just watching run down. So, guys, that is the longevity and anti-aging peptide stack.
